Neil Young’s new album Second Song dives deep into his teenage roots, reimagining two long-lost 60s tracks originally recorded with the Squires — “I’ll Love You Forever” and “Casting Me Away From You” — now given fresh life with his current band, the Chrome Hearts. Both songs, unearthed in 2009, feature lush, emotional balladry and surprising lyrical echoes from his later work.
