- 0:02Speaker 1: Because Fuck You That's Why is a founding member of
- 0:04Speaker 1: the Odd Pods Media Network.
- 0:39Speaker 2: Hello, and welcome to episode to sixty eight of Because
- 0:43Speaker 2: Fuck You That's Why. I am your host pants Sharon.
- 0:49Speaker 3: Hi.
- 0:50Speaker 2: Hi.
- 0:52Speaker 3: Kind of a soft intro there, Hello, I.
- 0:54Speaker 2: Mean they usually are when we're doing a chill show,
- 0:58Speaker 2: and that's exactly what this is.
- 1:00Speaker 3: Yes, Oh yeah, chill.
- 1:02Speaker 2: Chill, relaxed. Man, That's what I'm trying to be here. Man,
- 1:06Speaker 2: I'm trying to be like, hey, let's take it easy,
- 1:08Speaker 2: let's take it slow, let's relax and have some fun,
- 1:12Speaker 2: just some gentle fun, though not any crazy high tensions,
- 1:17Speaker 2: a little bit, just a gentle just catching up because
- 1:22Speaker 2: damn it, it was a rough week this week, so
- 1:25Speaker 2: oh my god, for everybody. I needed the time.
- 1:28Speaker 3: I thought it was just me.
- 1:30Speaker 1: Everybody had a rough yeah ship, Well, you know, well
- 1:35Speaker 1: it happens.
- 1:35Speaker 2: It happens. It is the time of year. May May
- 1:39Speaker 2: seems to be crazy for everybody this year, and I
- 1:41Speaker 2: don't know what it is, but it May is popping.
- 1:43Speaker 2: May is very busy, and unfortunately I'm no exception. I
- 1:48Speaker 2: am popping. I am putting together what I need for
- 1:53Speaker 2: episode three hundred and I'm doing it now because I
- 1:58Speaker 2: know we need to get the stuff done in the
- 2:01Speaker 2: next six months. Earlier the better because it gives us
- 2:05Speaker 2: more time to make adjustments or fix things if something
- 2:08Speaker 2: goes wrong. So I'm just putting a lot of effort
- 2:12Speaker 2: into that. And also at work, we've been dealta blow.
- 2:16Speaker 2: I'm I'm losing my boss.
- 2:18Speaker 1: Again for like another boss.
- 2:20Speaker 2: Yep, for like the next the the second time in
- 2:23Speaker 2: about six months. I think maybe a little bit longer.
- 2:26Speaker 3: Soon you'll be the boss going going through like the
- 2:29Speaker 3: dungeon islda dungeon.
- 2:30Speaker 2: There they are. They are looking for an I T.
- 2:34Speaker 2: Operations manager, and I do not fit that bill.
- 2:36Speaker 4: I don't.
- 2:37Speaker 2: I don't have that.
- 2:39Speaker 3: That's the worst cases, Like oh a position opened up,
- 2:42Speaker 3: Oh one I'll never fulfill.
- 2:44Speaker 2: I mean, for a while there they were genuinely interested
- 2:47Speaker 2: in training me up and getting these certifications. And now
- 2:50Speaker 2: they're just like, no, focus on this other useless crape
- 2:54Speaker 2: and so we delegated resources elsewhere, just endlessly frustrated. It's
- 3:00Speaker 2: so so yeah, so and he was a good boss too,
- 3:02Speaker 2: So it's my second good boss.
- 3:05Speaker 3: Losing a bad boss is like, oh, well, I hope
- 3:07Speaker 3: the next person is better. But losing a good boss sucks.
- 3:11Speaker 2: That sucks, and it's happened to me twice this year.
- 3:13Speaker 2: So yeah, this week has been pretty rough for that reason.
- 3:18Speaker 2: We're like offloading a lot of his a lot of
- 3:21Speaker 2: his work onto me and the other two it guys
- 3:25Speaker 2: until we get a replacement. The good news is the
- 3:28Speaker 2: last time this happened, there were two guys up for
- 3:30Speaker 2: the job. One would have been good and the other
- 3:33Speaker 2: would have been bad. We thankfully got the good one.
- 3:34Speaker 2: The bad one is still with the company, but he
- 3:37Speaker 2: doesn't want the job now.
- 3:38Speaker 1: Oh good.
- 3:39Speaker 2: So I was very grateful to hear that because he's
- 3:44Speaker 2: a he's a he's a genuinely decent guy. We we
- 3:48Speaker 2: both share a love of board games. He's really smart,
- 3:51Speaker 2: he knows his stuff. I like him as a person.
- 3:55Speaker 2: But every time he we were talking about work stuff,
- 3:59Speaker 2: he wanted to like take things away from me, like
- 4:03Speaker 2: my last remote day. I have one day remote per
- 4:05Speaker 2: week that I get to have right, and that allows
- 4:08Speaker 2: me to get a lot of stuff done that it's
- 4:09Speaker 2: hard to do otherwise, you know, stuff that I have
- 4:11Speaker 2: to do around town in Lockport. You know, it's not
- 4:14Speaker 2: like I can take my lunch break and go forty
- 4:17Speaker 2: five minutes back to Lockport, get the shit done, and
- 4:19Speaker 2: drive forty five minutes back. They would find that unacceptable.
- 4:22Speaker 2: So with the remote day, usually I can dip out
- 4:25Speaker 2: for like fifteen minutes, get something done done, boom. I
- 4:29Speaker 2: don't have to worry about it, and I don't have
- 4:31Speaker 2: to try and find a way to get it done
- 4:32Speaker 2: on a weekend, which usually hard as hell. As hard
- 4:35Speaker 2: as hell, So it's been very nice to have that.
- 4:37Speaker 2: One day and he was talking about taking it away
- 4:39Speaker 2: from me, and then another time he was like, why
- 4:41Speaker 2: do you have a cell phone? You shouldn't have a
- 4:43Speaker 2: cell phone, And I was like, I go out in
- 4:45Speaker 2: the field all the time, Like I need this cell
- 4:48Speaker 2: phone to do my job, like you know, and like
- 4:51Speaker 2: it's also my only phone. Don't take it away from
- 4:54Speaker 2: me just because you're trying to cut costs or whatever.
- 4:57Speaker 2: Like he just I knew in my heart wouldn't be
- 5:00Speaker 2: a good good boss.
- 5:02Speaker 1: You're taking my phone away, fine, good luck trying to
- 5:03Speaker 1: get a hold of me.
- 5:04Speaker 2: I'm like, he's not. He's he was not going to
- 5:07Speaker 2: be a good boss. So I'm grateful he didn't get it,
- 5:09Speaker 2: and I'm even more grateful that he's not trying to
- 5:11Speaker 2: take it now. Yeah, so but where that means we're
- 5:15Speaker 2: in limbo, So we're looking for a new IT operations manager.
- 5:18Speaker 2: In the meanwhile, I'm just going to be doing everything
- 5:20Speaker 2: I can to hold down the fort. So that that
- 5:22Speaker 2: kind of sucked. I also got to go to I
- 5:25Speaker 2: also got to go to it like a great thing
- 5:28Speaker 2: that I was very happy to get to see my
- 5:30Speaker 2: friend's daughter, who's the closest thing to a daughter I've
- 5:33Speaker 2: had of my own, graduated college yesterday and I got
- 5:37Speaker 2: to go and I I didn't take a ton of photos,
- 5:41Speaker 2: but it did take some. I tried to get video
- 5:43Speaker 2: of her walking across the stage. However, I badly mistimed it,
- 5:47Speaker 2: and I also couldn't figure out how to record video,
- 5:51Speaker 2: Like I fucked it up, Like I was so nervous,
- 5:53Speaker 2: Like I was like, oh shit, what do I?
- 5:55Speaker 5: Oh?
- 5:55Speaker 2: Video, Yes, get over there. Then I held it up
- 5:58Speaker 2: and realized only the last second, Oh, I didn't press
- 6:01Speaker 2: to start the recording. Fuck me. So I was just
- 6:04Speaker 2: watching her walk across the stage through the camera lens.
- 6:06Speaker 2: I'm like, thanks, that that was that was helpful. That
- 6:09Speaker 2: was super helpful.
- 6:11Speaker 5: Thankfully.
- 6:11Speaker 2: The whole thing was live stream, and I presume that
- 6:14Speaker 2: means it was recorded, so somebody I will be able
- 6:17Speaker 2: to like cut footage out of and just see her
- 6:20Speaker 2: walk across the stage. But I got to see it live,
- 6:21Speaker 2: and so I was very happy to see that and
- 6:26Speaker 2: uh and hang out with her and her her boyfriend.
- 6:29Speaker 2: Her boyfriend's family is gorgeous. I swear to God, her.
- 6:33Speaker 1: Boy go over there and bang them all.
- 6:35Speaker 2: Her boyfriend is he was born in the US. He's
- 6:40Speaker 2: a first generation and he his family is from the
- 6:45Speaker 2: Cote Doir, the Ivory Coast, Okay. And his mom and
- 6:53Speaker 2: his father showed up, and his sister, and they're all
- 6:58Speaker 2: unbelievably beautiful people, Like I was, just the genetics on
- 7:02Speaker 2: display here are just absolutely incredible, and I was just
- 7:07Speaker 2: I was losing my mind. I was actually getting like
- 7:09Speaker 2: a tiny crush on the sister, just a tiny one.
- 7:11Speaker 2: She was absolutely beautiful, astonishingly beautiful, and way way too young,
- 7:20Speaker 2: way too, way too young for me. I was way
- 7:23Speaker 2: too young, But I was like, Damn, she's gorgeous. Everybody
- 7:26Speaker 2: in his family is gorgeous. It's ridiculous. But I got
- 7:30Speaker 2: to hant with her. I got to hant with with her,
- 7:32Speaker 2: her grandfather. Uh and uh and uh, you know, I
- 7:36Speaker 2: gave her some gifts, you know, and I gave her
- 7:40Speaker 2: her own personal sign copy of Raca, which is basically
- 7:44Speaker 2: like what I want her biography and.
- 7:48Speaker 5: Life to be.
- 7:49Speaker 2: It's a little girl who grows up to kick all
- 7:51Speaker 2: of the ass, which is what Raka is about essentially.
- 7:55Speaker 2: Uh So, yeah, so that book was very much inspired
- 7:59Speaker 2: by her. So it was. It was a no brainer.
- 8:03Speaker 2: Uh and yeah, so it was. It was an absolutely
- 8:06Speaker 2: beautiful day. However, the fact that this tiny little girl
- 8:09Speaker 2: was now graduating college was not lost on my old ass.
- 8:14Speaker 2: And I was just like Jesus Christ, I'm so old,
- 8:16Speaker 2: I can barely walk across a college campus. Like it was.
- 8:21Speaker 2: It was a good fifteen minute walk. I didn't I
- 8:23Speaker 2: didn't mind, you know, at first, and then and then
- 8:26Speaker 2: I had to walk back when we were done, and
- 8:28Speaker 2: my legs were like no, they were like, no, you
- 8:31Speaker 2: put us through enough today. We can't. We can't. And
- 8:33Speaker 2: I was like, yes, you can't keep going.
- 8:36Speaker 4: You got to build up to it.
- 8:39Speaker 2: Totally do it. You can totally do it.
- 8:40Speaker 1: I believe in you got little by little.
- 8:42Speaker 5: Yeah.
- 8:44Speaker 2: So yeah, and let's see anything else I've been up
- 8:49Speaker 2: to we typically do like one segment per person on
- 8:52Speaker 2: these chill shows. I kind of automatically launched into it,
- 8:56Speaker 2: like egotistically, like let's talk about me first. I apologize,
- 9:00Speaker 2: but I was just kind of talking and we just
- 9:02Speaker 2: went into it. In fact, I skipped over intros Motherfucker,
- 9:05Speaker 2: Hi and Panthers Aaron, he's Stevie and he's Augy. We're done,
- 9:08Speaker 2: We're here, Yeah, we are.
- 9:13Speaker 1: We got this.
- 9:15Speaker 2: You'll want to be a Patreon member to get that joke. Yeah,
- 9:21Speaker 2: it was.
- 9:21Speaker 3: It was.
- 9:24Speaker 2: There might be an extra special episode in our future.
- 9:28Speaker 2: I don't know. I don't think so.
- 9:30Speaker 3: God, it would be so cool if it's if it's feasible.
- 9:34Speaker 2: If it's feasible, because there's no reason happily do, it
- 9:38Speaker 2: would be amazing. But again, Patreon thing, so you'll have
- 9:42Speaker 2: to join us. We'll talk about that at the end
- 9:44Speaker 2: of the episode. But what else am I up to? Oh? Yes,
- 9:47Speaker 2: one hundred line. I talked about the hundred line Last
- 9:50Speaker 2: Defense Academy on the Think Show, which we did this Thursday.
- 9:54Speaker 4: That was awesome.
- 9:55Speaker 2: That was genuinely a lot of fun Think Show.
- 9:57Speaker 1: For friends or Thursdays nerdy.
- 10:00Speaker 2: I feel bad that I was such a dick to
- 10:02Speaker 2: that guy. To be fair, it seemed like he was
- 10:05Speaker 2: being a dick to us, and I was like, oh
- 10:07Speaker 2: know for no reason. Wow, okay, So I just shot
- 10:11Speaker 2: back at him and it got a huge laugh. So
- 10:14Speaker 2: I did. I did enjoy that, but it was so fatty,
- 10:21Speaker 2: and yeah, we had a good time, but I like it.
- 10:25Speaker 2: They asked me anything geek and I've been up to
- 10:26Speaker 2: and I was like, I can't think of it. Oh,
- 10:28Speaker 2: and then I immediately thought of the geekiest thing in
- 10:30Speaker 2: the world. It is a strategy ORPG slash visual novel
- 10:35Speaker 2: called The hundred Line Last Defense Academy.
- 10:38Speaker 1: Uh.
- 10:38Speaker 2: And for those who didn't attend to think show, it
- 10:41Speaker 2: is a it's got an insane premise. Everybody lives in
- 10:45Speaker 2: this city that has a ceiling. They can't see the
- 10:48Speaker 2: sun or the clouds of the stars or any of it.
- 10:51Speaker 2: Just the lights come on on the ceiling when it's
- 10:53Speaker 2: daytime quote unquote.
- 10:55Speaker 6: Uh.
- 10:55Speaker 2: And they it's called the Tokyo Residential Complex. They all
- 10:58Speaker 2: live in this place and then one day some sirens
- 11:02Speaker 2: go off, so they go into shelter like they're told
- 11:04Speaker 2: to do. When they leave the shelter, they find like
- 11:09Speaker 2: monsters around, and then, in order to save his childhood
- 11:14Speaker 2: best friend of however many years, this little pill shaped,
- 11:20Speaker 2: baked bean shaped little dude who's translucent so you can
- 11:24Speaker 2: see right through him. And he's got like a little
- 11:26Speaker 2: brain hanging where it should be, and a little heart
- 11:30Speaker 2: hanging too, and he's wearing like a trill bey hat
- 11:33Speaker 2: with a little badge on it, like an old timey
- 11:35Speaker 2: press reporter. And he's like, hey, you want to save it,
- 11:39Speaker 2: you better take this. And he offers him a dagger
- 11:43Speaker 2: that's covered in blood, like so covered it's almost black
- 11:48Speaker 2: with blood. And he's like, you're gonna have to stab
- 11:50Speaker 2: yourself with this. And he's like, excuse me, that seems counterintuitive,
- 11:54Speaker 2: and he's like, no, you gotta do it. You gotta
- 11:56Speaker 2: gotta activate your blood, so you gotta use this. So
- 11:59Speaker 2: he's like, this seems it's crazy, but she's gonna die
- 12:01Speaker 2: if I don't do anything. Stab does it, and instead
- 12:06Speaker 2: of killing him, it awakens his blood. His blood comes
- 12:09Speaker 2: pouring out of him and like covers him, coats him
- 12:11Speaker 2: head to toe in like a whirling tornado of blood,
- 12:14Speaker 2: and then when it all vanishes, he's standing there in
- 12:16Speaker 2: like armor and he's got a sword. Yeah, and he's
- 12:19Speaker 2: like all right, and he just whips the monster's asses
- 12:23Speaker 2: and then he passes out mysteriously like it looks like
- 12:28Speaker 2: he's being sucked into the sky. But he passes out,
- 12:31Speaker 2: and then he wakes up in a school and the
- 12:33Speaker 2: Bean Guy shows up again along with like nine other students.
- 12:37Speaker 2: He tells them, you guys are going to defend the
- 12:39Speaker 2: entire world from this the last Defense Academy. The thing
- 12:44Speaker 2: that will save the world is protected inside the defense room.
- 12:47Speaker 2: If the bad guys get it, it's game over for
- 12:49Speaker 2: the entire world. So it's up to you. And then
- 12:52Speaker 2: they're like, we need more info and he's like, okay,
- 12:54Speaker 2: I'll give it to you tomorrow.
- 12:56Speaker 4: Next day.
- 12:57Speaker 2: Next day, he's gone. He's completely disappeared and nobody knows
- 12:59Speaker 2: what's happened to him. They find him after a couple
- 13:01Speaker 2: of days in a trash can, dismembered.
- 13:04Speaker 1: Wow.
- 13:04Speaker 2: But of course he's a little bean guy, so it's
- 13:06Speaker 2: just like little pieces of Bean Guy. It's it's an
- 13:10Speaker 2: absolutely batshit bizarre game. There's a girl in there who's
- 13:14Speaker 2: a legitimate like Dangan Rompe fan, to the point where
- 13:16Speaker 2: she's recommending killing games every time something goes wrong, She's like,
- 13:20Speaker 2: we should have a killing game to resolve this. Like
- 13:23Speaker 2: she's absolutely psychotic, and I love her to death and
- 13:26Speaker 2: I will defend her as long as I live because
- 13:28Speaker 2: she's hilarious. There's like a guy who works out too
- 13:32Speaker 2: much but won't won't hit women, so he's like, uh,
- 13:35Speaker 2: he's just like weirdly like standoffish and whatnot. There's a
- 13:38Speaker 2: guy who doesn't believe in himself at all. He's like,
- 13:41Speaker 2: on a genetic level, I'm sub human, so I can't
- 13:44Speaker 2: possibly help, and it's like it is, it is the
- 13:47Speaker 2: most annoying thing. And I genuinely hated him until I
- 13:50Speaker 2: got to a point in the game where something happened
- 13:52Speaker 2: to him, which I will not spoil because he's too
- 13:54Speaker 2: goddamn funny. But let's just say he changes that out
- 13:57Speaker 2: look real fucking quick. I'm up today forty three. The
- 14:03Speaker 2: students have to the students have to defend this thing
- 14:06Speaker 2: for one hundred days in order to successfully save the world,
- 14:11Speaker 2: and so they just have to keep the cool the
- 14:12Speaker 2: school protected. It's it's got like a wall of fire
- 14:17Speaker 2: completely surrounding it that never goes out, but the enemy
- 14:21Speaker 2: still somehow will find a way through it, and you
- 14:23Speaker 2: can leave it and actually go exploring the ruins because
- 14:26Speaker 2: there are ruins around the school, So something really fucked
- 14:31Speaker 2: up is going on here. I don't know what yet,
- 14:34Speaker 2: but it's fucking interesting. The one thing, it's not as boring,
- 14:38Speaker 2: like there's a lot of reading in it, which I
- 14:40Speaker 2: know is not your thing, but the strategy RPG parts
- 14:43Speaker 2: of it and the exploring part make up for that.
- 14:47Speaker 2: The exploring part is kind of like a board game,
- 14:49Speaker 2: like instead of rolling a die, you pick from one
- 14:51Speaker 2: of two cards with different numbers on it one to six.
- 14:53Speaker 2: That determines how many spaces you can go. Yeah, that's
- 14:58Speaker 2: the exploration game. It allows you to collect rese sources,
- 15:00Speaker 2: which you can then use to create traps, upgrade your
- 15:04Speaker 2: character's abilities, learn new ones you can create like electrified fences,
- 15:12Speaker 2: you can create, exploding minds, you can create all this
- 15:14Speaker 2: shit to add to your repertoire of things that you
- 15:17Speaker 2: can do in the strategy RPG sections, which is like
- 15:21Speaker 2: that's perfect. Like if you're gonna have a mini game,
- 15:23Speaker 2: it better feed into the main game. And I love
- 15:25Speaker 2: when games do that because it feels like it feels
- 15:28Speaker 2: like RPG progression. Even when it's not really like our
- 15:32Speaker 2: characters don't gain levels, but their abilities do. So I'm like,
- 15:37Speaker 2: hell yeah, so right now I have I've developed, and
- 15:40Speaker 2: I've discovered with the help of a friend. On the
- 15:42Speaker 2: Ultra Hope Girl's discord, there's a whole there's a whole
- 15:45Speaker 2: group of these people all in one discord thread talking
- 15:49Speaker 2: about this game, and I can't read a word of
- 15:51Speaker 2: it because they're all ahead of me. So so, but
- 15:54Speaker 2: but I did talk to them about some stuff, and
- 15:56Speaker 2: the dude clued me in. He's like, there's one girl
- 15:59Speaker 2: who's ability is she can heal a few hit points,
- 16:02Speaker 2: but the really key thing about her ability is that
- 16:04Speaker 2: it gets rid of all negative status effects, which includes
- 16:08Speaker 2: the stunt that you get from using a special attack,
- 16:12Speaker 2: So you can literally special attack, heal special attack again,
- 16:17Speaker 2: heal special attack a third, you can literally keep going
- 16:21Speaker 2: until you run out of And the special attacks are
- 16:24Speaker 2: so goddamn powerful they like level the whole battlefield, like
- 16:30Speaker 2: they can take out entire swaths of enemies like the
- 16:33Speaker 2: main characters. One does like fifteen squares on the board
- 16:37Speaker 2: just and does six damage to each, which is enough
- 16:39Speaker 2: to kill everything except bosses, Like only bosses have more
- 16:43Speaker 2: than six hit points. Everything else dies pretty easily. There's
- 16:47Speaker 2: just so goddamn many of them and so few of
- 16:49Speaker 2: you that it it. It really is a challenge to
- 16:51Speaker 2: figure out, Okay, what tactic do I want to use here?
- 16:54Speaker 2: And there's even attack that you can use if you're
- 16:56Speaker 2: getting law on HP, you can deliberately sacrifice a character
- 16:59Speaker 2: to immediately get a free special attack and fill up
- 17:03Speaker 2: the voltage meanor so you can do more special attacks.
- 17:06Speaker 2: But it kills them. They're out for the rest of
- 17:08Speaker 2: the wave. They will come back at the next wave
- 17:12Speaker 2: or when the round ends. They don't fully die, but
- 17:15Speaker 2: they're gone for that way, Like you can't use them
- 17:17Speaker 2: for anything after that. So it's like it's a risk
- 17:21Speaker 2: reward thing.
- 17:22Speaker 4: You are rid of it.
- 17:23Speaker 2: You are losing a character, but it might be more
- 17:26Speaker 2: beneficial because you'll power the rest of the characters up
- 17:29Speaker 2: by tossing them. So it's it's fascinating they made a
- 17:33Speaker 2: really good strategy RPG and visual novel at the same time.
- 17:38Speaker 2: So I'm eating this ship up like I can't, I
- 17:40Speaker 2: can't play anything else, Like I just put everything else
- 17:43Speaker 2: aside for now. I'm like, it's gonna be this nothing
- 17:45Speaker 2: else I'm just gonna finish this ze gotta and if
- 17:48Speaker 2: nothing else, I want to know what the fuck all
- 17:50Speaker 2: my friends are talking about and the Ultra oh I,
- 17:55Speaker 2: I'm like they've been talking Like you know, a discord
- 17:58Speaker 2: has a spoiler filter, so you don't really you can
- 18:01Speaker 2: cover anything you don't want people to spoil themselves. It's
- 18:04Speaker 2: literally like a wall of that like going down, like
- 18:09Speaker 2: just there's so many weird story spoilers and weird things
- 18:13Speaker 2: that happen, like one of one of the characters who
- 18:16Speaker 2: jumps out in front to lead the group disappears like
- 18:19Speaker 2: day eight, like it's it's wilds. I have no idea
- 18:23Speaker 2: what the fuck is going on?
- 18:25Speaker 1: And this changes, as you said, after you play it
- 18:27Speaker 1: the first time.
- 18:28Speaker 2: Yeah, that's the weird part about this game is it's
- 18:30Speaker 2: pulling a near automats out where playing the game once
- 18:34Speaker 2: is not like finishing the game. Like if you if
- 18:37Speaker 2: you beat the game and get the the ending that
- 18:40Speaker 2: you're supposed to get on your first play through, which
- 18:42Speaker 2: I think is the only one you can get. After that,
- 18:45Speaker 2: you can replay the game. Only now you can make
- 18:48Speaker 2: different choices, Whereas I think you were locked in to
- 18:52Speaker 2: a specific plot on the first way through and this
- 18:56Speaker 2: unlocks a hundred different endings.
- 19:00Speaker 3: Yeah, yeah, that's insane.
- 19:01Speaker 2: And my friend, he's from Australia's name is Chris. He
- 19:05Speaker 2: has just finished the game the first time thirty three hours,
- 19:10Speaker 2: Holy trap book, thirty three hours to finish the first game.
- 19:13Speaker 2: So I'm like, that's the first time through. So I'm like,
- 19:18Speaker 2: I'm I'm I imagine there are mechanics in place to
- 19:21Speaker 2: skip like you know, anything you've already seen, right, because
- 19:24Speaker 2: other games of this, other visual novels where there are
- 19:28Speaker 2: multiple pass through they often have an auto skip built in,
- 19:32Speaker 2: but it will stop as soon as it comes across
- 19:34Speaker 2: something that you haven't seen yet. So like when the
- 19:37Speaker 2: story changes, it reverts to normal and then you can
- 19:40Speaker 2: just read through at your leisure or listen to the
- 19:43Speaker 2: voice clips or whatever's happening. But I mean, I was like,
- 19:47Speaker 2: holy shit, Like I can't even imagine, and I'm excited
- 19:50Speaker 2: to see because everyone's talking like at some point, like
- 19:53Speaker 2: the game seriously maybe not goes off the rails, but
- 19:58Speaker 2: I'm guessing there's a massive TWI coming, like because because
- 20:01Speaker 2: everybody's talking about like their minds being blown in the shit,
- 20:05Speaker 2: and I'm like Oh fuck, I'm just I'm I know
- 20:09Speaker 2: it's coming. I'm like, oh, what's it gonna be? What's
- 20:11Speaker 2: it gonna be? And I'm trying to figure it out
- 20:12Speaker 2: in my head and I'm like, I'm never gonna figure
- 20:15Speaker 2: this out. This is this is insane, but I'm thoroughly
- 20:19Speaker 2: enjoying it. The strategy of g part is great. I
- 20:22Speaker 2: enjoyed the little exploration mini game that's fun and everything
- 20:26Speaker 2: else as well. But I think that's been about twenty minutes,
- 20:28Speaker 2: if not more. So let's call it a break at
- 20:31Speaker 2: this point, shall we.
- 20:32Speaker 1: Sounds good?
- 20:33Speaker 2: All right? I'm not gonna monopolize this whole show. When
- 20:35Speaker 2: we come back, somebody else is gonna talk, and they're
- 20:37Speaker 2: gonna talk right after this.
- 20:48Speaker 7: Greetings, fellow nerds. It's Scarrett, your host of the Nodeak
- 20:51Speaker 7: Nerd part of Odd Pods Media. The podcast or we

- 21:04Speaker 7: even a few hated debates. Find the note Actord wherever
- 21:06Speaker 7: you listen to podcasts.
- 21:08Speaker 8: Let's get nerdy, Hey, welcome back.
- 21:21Speaker 1: Aaron left.
- 21:22Speaker 2: No, I'm still here.
- 21:25Speaker 4: Oh god, I thought you left.
- 21:27Speaker 1: You know, he just went blind for a moment, object kicked.
- 21:32Speaker 2: I said someone else was going to talk, and I
- 21:34Speaker 2: meant it.
- 21:34Speaker 1: I did, I talked, you did you did things?
- 21:37Speaker 3: Hell?
- 21:38Speaker 2: Yeah, you can come back from a break.
- 21:39Speaker 1: I can't.
- 21:41Speaker 2: Just got the skills I had.
- 21:43Speaker 1: I just usually do it routine.
- 21:47Speaker 2: Being a routine. What have you been up to this
- 21:49Speaker 2: past week? A couple of weeks. It feels like it's
- 21:52Speaker 2: only been three weeks since we did think it has.
- 21:56Speaker 2: But to be fair, like I said, it was a
- 21:57Speaker 2: rough week this week.
- 21:59Speaker 1: What start with the fun stuff first? So, along with
- 22:03Speaker 1: spoilers in that theme, I've been avoiding all the Doom
- 22:07Speaker 1: Dark Ages spoilers. Oh, apparently the fucking Elf is out
- 22:10Speaker 1: and everybody on YouTube's fucking talking about it and ship
- 22:13Speaker 1: and I'm trying to do my best to avoid it
- 22:15Speaker 1: because like, I don't even think I can play it
- 22:16Speaker 1: until like mid May or something, and I'm just like fuck,
- 22:20Speaker 1: but I want to know, I really do like it
- 22:23Speaker 1: looks fun as fuck. So I'm a huge doom preak
- 22:27Speaker 1: and I like this one. So we're slowing it down
- 22:29Speaker 1: a little bit from the previous one, but it's still
- 22:32Speaker 1: gonna have all the gore plus a ton more. Like
- 22:34Speaker 1: you get a fucking pretty much a mech, a Doom
- 22:38Speaker 1: Slayer mech. Yeah, and you get the fight a fucking
- 22:41Speaker 1: I don't know if it's design, it's fucking you get
- 22:46Speaker 1: to work with the creators and ship it's nuts.
- 22:48Speaker 4: You gotta watch the trailer fucking ship.
- 22:52Speaker 1: But the like, I'm just happy about the fucking new shield,
- 22:56Speaker 1: the fucking motorized, fucking chainsaw shield he has, because holy fuck, dude,
- 23:01Speaker 1: seeing someone like the kills he did, the glory kills
- 23:03Speaker 1: it that, I think it was amazing.
- 23:05Speaker 3: Not medieval dark age.
- 23:06Speaker 4: It was like a dark age.
- 23:08Speaker 2: Yeah, yeah, no.
- 23:09Speaker 4: Oh my god, that's fair.
- 23:11Speaker 2: And to be fair, I like I really enjoyed Doom
- 23:15Speaker 2: twenty sixteen and Doom Eternal. Yeah, they were both really
- 23:18Speaker 2: good for different reasons, Like like the the first Doom,
- 23:23Speaker 2: Doom twenty sixteen felt like a real return to form, right,
- 23:26Speaker 2: it felt it genuinely felt like an upgraded modern Doom
- 23:30Speaker 2: game because you just felt like pure, pure slaughter mixed
- 23:35Speaker 2: with some horror, and it was really enjoyable. It's just
- 23:40Speaker 2: just a lot of fun. The levels were fun, there
- 23:42Speaker 2: were lots of secrets in all over the place. Doom
- 23:45Speaker 2: Maternal felt like like a genuine, like real skills challenge. Yes,
- 23:50Speaker 2: like Doom was kind of slightly easier in my memory
- 23:53Speaker 2: the way it was it was, it seems slightly easier.
- 23:56Speaker 2: Doom Maternal actually pushed you. Was like, here's some challenge
- 23:59Speaker 2: rooms that you can take that are really hard.
- 24:02Speaker 1: Like feeling crush this game. Okay, here try these ones.
- 24:05Speaker 5: Yeah, yeah, yeah.
- 24:06Speaker 3: And it was.
- 24:07Speaker 2: It was also a fun callback to Doom too because
- 24:10Speaker 2: it was now Hell on Earth, which was great, really enjoyable.
- 24:16Speaker 2: Lots of really funny uh uac announcements as you're going
- 24:21Speaker 2: through the like the dated offices. Something was so condamn funny.
- 24:28Speaker 1: I'm like Jesus, it was fun man. But yeah, this
- 24:30Speaker 1: new one was.
- 24:31Speaker 4: It was very, very.
- 24:33Speaker 2: Very good games, both of them. I enjoyed them.
- 24:35Speaker 1: Mm hmm. We are actually told by Butter to watch out.
- 24:39Speaker 1: I think it was a man at arms guy who
- 24:40Speaker 1: creates weaponry from video games and stuff. So he has
- 24:44Speaker 1: a forge, him and his buddy, and no joke took apart.
- 24:47Speaker 1: A gas powdered chainsaw made the blades made the tray
- 24:50Speaker 1: like made the sheep like laser cutting the steel like
- 24:53Speaker 1: a foraging at all. Each individual one the thing was sick, dude.
- 24:57Speaker 3: When they wielded it, they had to basically have it's
- 25:00Speaker 3: strapped to a freaking bar so it wouldn't go anywhere
- 25:03Speaker 3: in safety.
- 25:05Speaker 2: Yeah, I would imagine they'd have to wear special gloves
- 25:08Speaker 2: and special like elbow.
- 25:09Speaker 1: And arm pads just and like, dude, because.
- 25:13Speaker 2: Because I mean just dangerous that could be God.
- 25:17Speaker 3: Yeah, like it was mounted on them basically took a
- 25:19Speaker 3: chainsaw and made it more circular.
- 25:23Speaker 2: That's wild.
- 25:23Speaker 1: I want one now though, of course you do, of course,
- 25:26Speaker 1: So that comes to our second part of the story.
- 25:30Speaker 1: So I got in trouble, so I got I.
- 25:36Speaker 2: Got in trouble chainsaw person. So I wanted to do
- 25:41Speaker 2: a glory kill.
- 25:42Speaker 1: In real life, you can, but you don't get the
- 25:46Speaker 1: little ones only once and then you're then you're a
- 25:49Speaker 1: wanted criminal.
- 25:50Speaker 2: Yeah you don't. You don't get all the play my games, mann,
- 25:54Speaker 2: You don't health power ups none at all.
- 25:57Speaker 4: No, they turns out they don't fear you.
- 26:00Speaker 3: No.
- 26:02Speaker 1: The other thing I have been on the game side though,
- 26:05Speaker 1: I've been playing a PvE X fil game called incursion
- 26:11Speaker 1: red River. So what it is, you're starting your hideout
- 26:15Speaker 1: and you pretty much get your load out however you
- 26:17Speaker 1: want whatever weapons, ammunition and stuff, however you want to
- 26:20Speaker 1: customize whatever you have at that time. Then you choose
- 26:23Speaker 1: your missions, a couple of tasks, and you can this
- 26:28Speaker 1: not the v P stem, so you can just mouse
- 26:31Speaker 1: keyboard only though I think I thinkard. No, yeah, it's
- 26:35Speaker 1: it's fairly new. It's like fifty sixteen bucks or whatever.
- 26:39Speaker 1: But four players co op. It's only pv there's no
- 26:43Speaker 1: pv P at all whatsoever. So when you and then
- 26:46Speaker 1: you get randomly infilled to this place and you somebody
- 26:49Speaker 1: has to bring up the tablet while pretty much you're
- 26:51Speaker 1: guarding the other person because there's no mini maps, there's
- 26:54Speaker 1: no crosshairs. It's all your insights or if unless you
- 26:57Speaker 1: have a scope. But it's cool, like, so all you
- 26:59Speaker 1: be on the table, I'll be guarding him. Make sure
- 27:00Speaker 1: always come around right. We gotta go northwest and you
- 27:02Speaker 1: make your points on your little tablet, but you don't
- 27:04Speaker 1: still see him anywhere, so you gotta look at your
- 27:06Speaker 1: tablet every time, which means your gun's going down.
- 27:09Speaker 9: So it's cool.
- 27:10Speaker 1: You get your primary secondary of pistol and then your
- 27:12Speaker 1: four with your little tablet thing. So far, i've been
- 27:16Speaker 1: playing single player too, but luckily I've got to do
- 27:19Speaker 1: a couple of matches with Aggie and we are wrecking shit.
- 27:22Speaker 1: I ended up picking up like an M four, a
- 27:25Speaker 1: sixty round mag and.
- 27:26Speaker 3: Shit turns out I'm the navigator because he gets lost
- 27:29Speaker 3: so quick.
- 27:29Speaker 1: I can't figure out where the fuck I am. I
- 27:32Speaker 1: need him in his game because I've been playing by
- 27:33Speaker 1: myself and it takes me twenty minutes just to get
- 27:36Speaker 1: to the thing I have to pick up before I
- 27:37Speaker 1: have to go drop it.
- 27:38Speaker 3: I think I'm past twenty minutes to do all the
- 27:39Speaker 3: objectes and next fill when I was navigating.
- 27:42Speaker 1: So much easier. It's like I'm just here to guard
- 27:44Speaker 1: you and shoot the bag. But it's nice because there
- 27:48Speaker 1: is a difficulty change depending on how aggressive you want
- 27:51Speaker 1: to play, like we have it on not the easiest
- 27:54Speaker 1: but pretty easy, and then there's like normalum yeah, and
- 27:57Speaker 1: then there's a hard and a very hard. Dinner's like
- 27:59Speaker 1: an insane so you can actually make it like chill
- 28:01Speaker 1: as fuck, which is the kind of.
- 28:02Speaker 4: I think we should turn it up. And I'm saying
- 28:04Speaker 4: it just a little bit.
- 28:05Speaker 8: It was.
- 28:06Speaker 3: It was nice, but yeah too chill, Like I'm like, yeah,
- 28:08Speaker 3: these guys don't notice that when we're pretty much on
- 28:10Speaker 3: top of that, they should be seeing me out in
- 28:12Speaker 3: the open just aim right going. Yeah, I know we
- 28:16Speaker 3: should go there and then move over there.
- 28:20Speaker 1: But it is a lot of fun. The one thing
- 28:23Speaker 1: I really do enjoy about it, though, is you can
- 28:25Speaker 1: pretty much if you pick up an enemy weapon, you
- 28:27Speaker 1: can unload it, take their meg out, or unload the
- 28:30Speaker 1: bullets from their magazine if you don't want their magazine,
- 28:33Speaker 1: or take their gun fucking apart and take any part
- 28:35Speaker 1: of that you want for later on to build a
- 28:37Speaker 1: new one for you at your place or whatever. Like
- 28:39Speaker 1: there's all these things, and you get back, you put
- 28:41Speaker 1: your missions, and then there's like a store so you
- 28:43Speaker 1: can buy other shit. It's fun because I don't have
- 28:46Speaker 1: the stress of other players coming at me in this environment.
- 28:49Speaker 3: Get to enjoy the ex filling yeah, and the constant
- 28:54Speaker 3: threat of other players.
- 28:55Speaker 1: Sometimes it's fun, Like I do enjoy hunting other players down,
- 28:57Speaker 1: but sometimes I'm like, I just want to chill, and
- 28:59Speaker 1: I still want to shoot things, but I don't want
- 29:02Speaker 1: I don't want that man, I don't want to be
- 29:03Speaker 1: all sweaty, like I'm trying to relax, but you know,
- 29:07Speaker 1: it's it's a fun game that that I've really been enjoying.
- 29:10Speaker 1: And thank god he's been playing it too, because it's
- 29:13Speaker 1: just more fun more people. Other than that getting outside. Man,
- 29:19Speaker 1: got my new motorcycle. It's in the thing, and I
- 29:22Speaker 1: just bought some crash bars for it just in case heavier. Yep, yep.
- 29:27Speaker 1: They should be here on Monday, which is nice. I'll
- 29:29Speaker 1: have them on Monday afternoon and I'll be hopefully taking
- 29:32Speaker 1: the bike out on Tuesday. If not Monday, hell yeah, yeah,
- 29:36Speaker 1: yeah dude, it's gonna be fucking chill. But like I'm
- 29:38Speaker 1: getting as much outside sun as possible right now, Like
- 29:42Speaker 1: I'm trying to absorb it without getting burned. Obviously it's
- 29:45Speaker 1: you know, paal as fuck, but get out joy that nature, Like,
- 29:49Speaker 1: get the exercise. Man, let's feel good this summer.
- 29:53Speaker 10: Let's do it.
- 29:54Speaker 1: I don't know, I'm just trying to be a positive,
- 29:57Speaker 1: appreciate most I'm gonna end my section with the negative
- 30:02Speaker 1: partsl Oggie has to bring us up aha bitches yep.
- 30:06Speaker 3: So yeah, on my shoulders. And here I was gonna
- 30:09Speaker 3: go all dpresso hour shit and now you can go
- 30:12Speaker 3: I can't.
- 30:17Speaker 1: Before Easter break at school, I was like cool. The
- 30:21Speaker 1: other cook was like, Hey, I'm gonna go on vacation
- 30:25Speaker 1: the week after that, so you have to cover the
- 30:27Speaker 1: kitchen by yourself. I'm like, cool, gonna go Disney with
- 30:30Speaker 1: the family. That's awesome. Then the cruise after cool whatevs. Well,
- 30:34Speaker 1: that week went by and I was by myself and
- 30:36Speaker 1: my boss shows up with donuts and coffee and I'm like,
- 30:39Speaker 1: why are you in my building. You don't come to
- 30:41Speaker 1: my building at all for any reason. I'm here sick
- 30:45Speaker 1: up to you and I'm like, why is that? And
- 30:46Speaker 1: she's like because the other cook will inform me that
- 30:49Speaker 1: she's quitting. And I was like, ha ha ha ha,
- 30:52Speaker 1: boss lady, Well guess what. I knew that before you.
- 30:54Speaker 1: She said she wasn't coming back next year. I knew first.
- 30:57Speaker 1: She's like, no, don't tell me she's not coming back
- 31:04Speaker 1: after break that just ended. She's like yeah, and I'm like, oh.
- 31:09Speaker 4: No, so very to this lady's.
- 31:12Speaker 1: Yes, some bad ship's been happening to her family, like
- 31:16Speaker 1: not to her, like they've lost a few people in
- 31:18Speaker 1: the family. Over to stand up.
- 31:20Speaker 9: A month and a half of it's bad.
- 31:22Speaker 4: But but the stuff that is just it's a lot,
- 31:25Speaker 4: and she doesn't mean this every thing else.
- 31:27Speaker 1: Yeah, so it's she just like dipped out, and I'm like,
- 31:31Speaker 1: I get it too much.
- 31:32Speaker 4: That's fair.
- 31:33Speaker 1: But for the last I don't know how long has
- 31:35Speaker 1: it been since Easter break. I don't even know. Three weeks,
- 31:37Speaker 1: four weeks now? Oh no, it's only been a week. God,
- 31:40Speaker 1: don't tell me it's only been a week.
- 31:42Speaker 2: Jesus Christ.
- 31:43Speaker 4: I'm not gonna make it the other month.
- 31:45Speaker 3: You'll be fine, Literally, your time off will be like you,
- 31:49Speaker 3: I'll blink him my eye and then you'll be like,
- 31:51Speaker 3: I gotta do something.
- 31:56Speaker 1: Yeah, I'm running the kitchen by myself.
- 31:57Speaker 2: Now, three weeks ago.
- 31:59Speaker 1: I think it was right, Yes, I think so. It
- 32:01Speaker 1: is in April, but yeah, it's uh.
- 32:04Speaker 3: Door hamstell in the fridge right, Oh no, don't so.
- 32:10Speaker 1: Yeah, I've just been exhausted because I'm working by myself.
- 32:12Speaker 1: I'm going in a half hour earlier, so I'm getting
- 32:15Speaker 1: in there at like six am. I'm staying until like
- 32:18Speaker 1: one thirty two o'clock. If like it's kicking the shit
- 32:21Speaker 1: out of me, Yeah, it's hard, and like they try
- 32:25Speaker 1: to help and I'm just like, get out of my
- 32:27Speaker 1: way and don't come into my kitchen. It's so easier
- 32:29Speaker 1: if I do it by myself because they know what
- 32:32Speaker 1: the fuck they're doing. So the substitute's been helpful though, Yes,
- 32:37Speaker 1: she's been cool. We got a substitute. She comes in
- 32:39Speaker 1: like three days a week to help me, and she's
- 32:40Speaker 1: been awesome. She can cash pretty good and make savaches
- 32:44Speaker 1: and stuff. So I'm getting some support. But I swear
- 32:49Speaker 1: to God, if they don't hire somebody by next year,
- 32:50Speaker 1: I'm not gonna make it.
- 32:52Speaker 4: I'm like, there is no now.
- 32:56Speaker 1: No, I won't. I like, I like it.
- 32:57Speaker 4: I just be like, yo, more people.
- 33:00Speaker 1: I'm able to make one meal and I don't understand,
- 33:03Speaker 1: and all.
- 33:04Speaker 2: The students are gonna have to fight over it breakfast
- 33:07Speaker 2: or lunch.
- 33:08Speaker 1: I didn't think, oh yeah, there's one hundred and six good.
- 33:11Speaker 2: Luck Thunder the Hunger Games, bitchy.
- 33:18Speaker 1: I just don't want Apple, a trout everything.
- 33:22Speaker 3: Who wants to be Catus Everdeen.
- 33:25Speaker 1: But if if you are interested in random food pictures
- 33:27Speaker 1: on my Instagram, I've been taking pictures of food I make.

- 33:40Speaker 1: Like this big and puffy is fuck is awesome. It's great, man, I.
- 33:44Speaker 2: Want to eat it. The only thing I don't like
- 33:47Speaker 2: about you posting Damn, he's making me so.
- 33:50Speaker 1: Hungry enrolling the school man, don't look.
- 33:56Speaker 4: One jump street.
- 33:57Speaker 1: I'm eighteen year old, yo, give me that.
- 34:01Speaker 2: Yo. What's there is? I'm low keyban okay, Steve, what's
- 34:13Speaker 2: happening on?
- 34:17Speaker 10: Yes?
- 34:19Speaker 1: Ah? But yeah, schools almost over.

- 34:39Speaker 1: gonna be fucking magical.
- 34:41Speaker 8: He's gonna show you Stevie's bullshitting all these words.
- 34:49Speaker 2: He's trying to throw as far under the bus as
- 34:54Speaker 2: he can.
- 34:55Speaker 3: And like you guys throw on the bus, He's behind
- 34:59Speaker 3: the driver's seat, rolling me over and then going, oh,
- 35:02Speaker 3: I think I missed him and now hits reverse.
- 35:07Speaker 1: So let's see what all you gets prepared right after this.
- 35:11Speaker 2: You mean nothing.
- 35:19Speaker 6: Each of us identify with one of the Golden Girls.
- 35:22Speaker 6: I'm Sophia, Aaron is Dorothy, Kristen is Sweet Roads and
- 35:27Speaker 6: each week we'll have a guest sit in the Blanche

- 35:50Speaker 1: to hook you.
- 35:50Speaker 9: Up and welcome back.
- 36:03Speaker 3: Thank you for joining us for part three of our
- 36:05Speaker 3: Chill Show. I guess it's my turn now.
- 36:08Speaker 2: Huh done? That was pure.
- 36:12Speaker 3: Definitely wasn't practicing it in my head for like it
- 36:15Speaker 3: was the last minute the show. Well, but I digress
- 36:22Speaker 3: way better with us. Let us get to what I'm
- 36:25Speaker 3: gonna talk about today.
- 36:26Speaker 4: Oh yeah, So I've been busy. Back to work.
- 36:29Speaker 3: It's been tiring, got some coworkers vacations coming up that
- 36:33Speaker 3: I'm gonna have to cover. So there's going to be
- 36:34Speaker 3: a couple six day work weeks, but you know, I
- 36:39Speaker 3: mean it'll technically seven because I'll be here on Saturdays,
- 36:41Speaker 3: so you do work here. Yeah, so it'll be fun
- 36:44Speaker 3: only for two weeks. Hopefully we'll find out right to
- 36:52Speaker 3: to decompress and to shut off my brain when I can.
- 36:55Speaker 3: Besides smoking, I will be gaming. I played Monster Hunter World.
- 37:01Speaker 3: I got Stevie and Cybernetic into it because it went
- 37:06Speaker 3: on sale and trying to get them caught up to
- 37:09Speaker 3: me because it's a slow it's.
- 37:12Speaker 9: A slow process.
- 37:14Speaker 3: Cebe has never played Monster Hunter before, so it's a
- 37:16Speaker 3: lot of teaching him. Thankfully, they're with a thirteen different.
- 37:21Speaker 4: At thirteen fourteen whatever.
- 37:23Speaker 3: With the number of weapon choices you have, like, you
- 37:25Speaker 3: find a play style you can get along with, and
- 37:29Speaker 3: World is not that difficult once you basically learn their
- 37:32Speaker 3: patterns up to a certain point. I've got a vendetta
- 37:38Speaker 3: with a dragon called Velkana, so that's why I'm even
- 37:41Speaker 3: playing it at all. I have a feeling I'm gonna
- 37:43Speaker 3: get to her again. She's gonna keep whoop my ass
- 37:45Speaker 3: and I'm just not gonna touch it for like another
- 37:47Speaker 3: five years.
- 37:48Speaker 1: So happened last time.
- 37:50Speaker 3: No no, the last time it was on my Xbox
- 37:53Speaker 3: and we got rid of that and it was important
- 37:55Speaker 3: a PC yet oh okay, it didn't port the PC
- 37:58Speaker 3: to like one and a half years later something like that.
- 38:02Speaker 9: Anyways.
- 38:03Speaker 2: Uh.
- 38:03Speaker 3: The other thing I've been doing is also playing Skyrim
- 38:06Speaker 3: because Steve was playing Skyrim, and then I got me
- 38:09Speaker 3: in the Skyriom because I was playing New Vegas, which
- 38:12Speaker 3: even got him.
- 38:13Speaker 4: I don't know.
- 38:13Speaker 1: Yeah, I started the VR Skyroom today again too.
- 38:16Speaker 3: I'm also I'm also kicking myself in the ass even
- 38:20Speaker 3: though I don't have even though I don't have the
- 38:24Speaker 3: newest remaster Oblivion that came out that everybody's saying right about,
- 38:29Speaker 3: because it's Oblivion just better graphics basically, and they fixed
- 38:32Speaker 3: some of the bugs, left the fun ones in though,
- 38:34Speaker 3: because that they want the fans to be happy, you know,
- 38:37Speaker 3: happy and all that, which is great. But I'm playing
- 38:41Speaker 3: the older version instead the complete version modded to get
- 38:45Speaker 3: fixed a lot of the bugs too, but still crashes.
- 38:48Speaker 4: All the time.
- 38:48Speaker 3: Anyways. But I got to kick myself in the ass
- 38:52Speaker 3: because it's genuinely a good game. If you can could
- 38:54Speaker 3: pass the crashes and the bugs, it's They did a
- 38:57Speaker 3: lot like you can make custom spells.
- 39:00Speaker 9: Holy shit? Really yeah?
- 39:02Speaker 3: Oh, like like like work off of each other that
- 39:05Speaker 3: make you basically super powerful.
- 39:07Speaker 4: Like it's fuck, it's kind of cool. Like I'm like,
- 39:10Speaker 4: why didn't Skyrim do that?
- 39:12Speaker 9: Whatever?
- 39:13Speaker 4: But anyway, maybe in the new one, but.
- 39:16Speaker 9: Other than that, it's not a whole lot.
- 39:18Speaker 3: All right, you know, just coming home maybe day smelling
- 39:21Speaker 3: like fish.
- 39:22Speaker 1: Uh, walk the door and I'm like, I get at.
- 39:28Speaker 2: He works for a brothel now instead of where he
- 39:31Speaker 2: used to work.
- 39:31Speaker 9: So, yeah, I'm a ball washer.
- 39:36Speaker 2: He's a personal ball washer.
- 39:40Speaker 1: He's paid very well.
- 39:41Speaker 2: He's paid very well, very well. He's doing quite well.
- 39:44Speaker 1: Yeah, it's almost like a country called.
- 39:46Speaker 4: A little bit like a country club. Why am I there?
- 39:53Speaker 1: I'm only here for the money. I'm really not here
- 39:55Speaker 1: for anything else. Like seriously, actually.
- 39:57Speaker 3: You know what, there was something else and it just
- 40:00Speaker 3: crossed my mind. I actually have a question for both.
- 40:05Speaker 3: Do you know how to play the rules of the game.
- 40:08Speaker 1: I fucking knew it.
- 40:09Speaker 2: I used to know.
- 40:12Speaker 3: That's the correct answer, except you you used to know. No,
- 40:16Speaker 3: the correct answer is you don't know how to play
- 40:18Speaker 3: the rules of the game.
- 40:19Speaker 4: And guess what I have prepared today?
- 40:20Speaker 2: Oh, motherfucker.
- 40:26Speaker 3: You can if you want my help.
- 40:29Speaker 9: So the little caveats here.
- 40:32Speaker 3: This rules of the game can be one with points
- 40:35Speaker 3: or obviously an instant win if you can guess what
- 40:37Speaker 3: the rules of the game are, if you know what
- 40:40Speaker 3: it is, say your name, say what the rules are.
- 40:43Speaker 3: If you're correct, correct, you you win. If not, well,
- 40:48Speaker 3: you're not out of it yet. You could still win
- 40:50Speaker 3: by points, but you don't. You can't guess and get
- 40:53Speaker 3: the install win if you know it fair, all right,
- 40:59Speaker 3: And I will prompt you one at a time. And
- 41:00Speaker 3: they didn't give the answer at the end. If you
- 41:03Speaker 3: are so ready, I can go ahead and start, all right, Yes,
- 41:07Speaker 3: I will start with you were and no. Pick a
- 41:11Speaker 3: number between one and twenty twenty. Stevie. Pick a number
- 41:21Speaker 3: between one and twenty nineteen. No points are rewarded.
- 41:33Speaker 9: Back to you.
- 41:34Speaker 3: Erin pick a number between one and twenty one.
- 41:43Speaker 9: Pick a number.
- 41:45Speaker 3: Between one and twenty nine. Steve earns a point. Any
- 41:57Speaker 3: guesses yet, No, no, no, little or little early yeh yeah, yeah, yeah.
- 42:02Speaker 1: Yeah, you haven't figured out you don't.
- 42:05Speaker 3: Yeah, I can't figure my stupid puzzle out, all right, Aaron,
- 42:12Speaker 3: Pick a number between one and twenty twenty. Okay, we're
- 42:21Speaker 3: doing Stevie. They pick a number between one and twenty seventeen.
- 42:32Speaker 3: No points are rewarded back to you. Aaron, but the
- 42:41Speaker 3: number belturn one and two?
- 42:46Speaker 2: What the f A ten?
- 42:55Speaker 5: Mm hmmm.
- 42:58Speaker 3: Stevie pick a number between one and twenty twenty. No
- 43:08Speaker 3: points are given. Aaron pick a number between one and
- 43:20Speaker 3: twenty five. Stevie pick a number between one and twenty seven.
- 43:36Speaker 3: Stevie earns a point. Aaron, I can see you're frustratingly
- 43:46Speaker 3: getting there. Okay, I get a hint in like five more.
- 43:53Speaker 3: Al right, sure, but in the meantime, pick a number nine.
- 43:59Speaker 3: Gotta go, Stevie. Okay, Stevie gets a point.
- 44:08Speaker 2: Sweet, what the fuck?
- 44:11Speaker 3: Aaron pick a number one, big twenty.
- 44:14Speaker 2: He makes Stevie go first this time.
- 44:17Speaker 3: Stevie pick Aaron's number one through twenty. Aaron fix TV's number.
- 44:24Speaker 2: One through twenty three.
- 44:27Speaker 9: We're really doing it.
- 44:28Speaker 3: Aaron gets a point because.
- 44:35Speaker 4: He chose Yeah, you chose my number.
- 44:38Speaker 1: Yeah, ok so I'm sorryight thenk.
- 44:42Speaker 2: Yeah, thank you for the point, though it's frustrating that
- 44:45Speaker 2: I still haven't gotten to point myself. I don't know
- 44:48Speaker 2: what the fuck.
- 44:49Speaker 3: For your sake, I will start with Stephen this time.
- 44:52Speaker 3: Oh God, and for the lack of all our confusion,
- 44:55Speaker 3: h Stevie, pick a number of between one.
- 44:56Speaker 9: And twenty fifteen.
- 44:57Speaker 3: Cool, Aaron, pick a number between one and twenty.
- 45:02Speaker 2: Uh eight.
- 45:10Speaker 3: Mm hmmm, no points are rewarded.
- 45:18Speaker 1: Stevie's so close to what I think it is and
- 45:20Speaker 1: it's not.
- 45:20Speaker 10: Stevie one through twenty uh three, Aaron one through twenty two.
- 45:35Speaker 3: Stevie gets the point right.
- 45:39Speaker 11: So interesting is that four or five?
- 45:43Speaker 1: One, two three?
- 45:44Speaker 11: That is four, six, eight nine total total?
- 45:48Speaker 2: One You said five after five, so after ten? So
- 45:52Speaker 2: Stevie one.
- 45:53Speaker 1: Through twenty nineteen, A one to twenty.
- 46:03Speaker 2: Twenty.
- 46:05Speaker 3: No points are rewarded. Your hint end's a pretty good one.
- 46:19Speaker 3: Your numbers add together.
- 46:21Speaker 2: Hmm.
- 46:22Speaker 1: Oh fuck, that's not what I thought it was. Stevie
- 46:28Speaker 1: one through twenty fifteen.
- 46:37Speaker 3: Aaron one through twenty fifteen.
- 46:43Speaker 4: No points are rewarded.
- 46:45Speaker 3: Okay, Stevie one through twenty nine, Aaron one through twenty three.
- 46:58Speaker 3: Stevie ends a point.
- 47:01Speaker 5: The fuck.
- 47:05Speaker 1: This is so far.
- 47:08Speaker 3: I didn't think it would be this hard. I'll be honest,
- 47:11Speaker 3: but I'm kind.
- 47:12Speaker 4: Of glad that I'm klindic glad.
- 47:13Speaker 9: It is kind of glad.
- 47:14Speaker 3: It is hard because I was kind of word I
- 47:17Speaker 3: shoe warned this in too fast.
- 47:18Speaker 1: Stevie one through twenty uh thirteen.
- 47:23Speaker 11: Aaron one through twenty nineteen.
- 47:33Speaker 3: No, we were no points, No reward is awarded, No
- 47:36Speaker 3: points are rewarded.
- 47:43Speaker 4: Stevie one through twenty seven.
- 47:49Speaker 11: All right, Aaron one to twenty nine.
- 47:56Speaker 3: Aaron gets a point. Stevie one to twenty.
- 48:05Speaker 1: Eleven, Aaron.
- 48:15Speaker 5: Twenty.
- 48:17Speaker 11: No points are you awarded?
- 48:20Speaker 1: Stevie and twenty of these things?
- 48:22Speaker 2: Yeah?
- 48:23Speaker 3: What are we at now? We're right?
- 48:24Speaker 1: We're starting sixteen?
- 48:25Speaker 3: Okay, just to make sure I was on the right one.
- 48:29Speaker 1: Mmm, let's go with eight all right?
- 48:35Speaker 5: Ah right, mm hmm, I'll say I'll say ten.
- 48:53Speaker 3: Oh so it was eight and ten. You say, yeah,
- 49:01Speaker 3: you both get a point?
- 49:03Speaker 2: What the fuck?
- 49:05Speaker 1: I don't know?
- 49:05Speaker 2: What the fuck?
- 49:12Speaker 1: Stevie, uh seventeen, all right, Aarin.
- 49:25Speaker 2: One.
- 49:29Speaker 3: Stevie gains a point. Stevie one to.
- 49:37Speaker 1: Twenty uh fourteen.
- 49:41Speaker 2: And Aaron, I'm gonna need like several minutes.
- 49:48Speaker 3: Okay, what are we up to?
- 49:50Speaker 1: We are on number eighteen?
- 49:53Speaker 3: Perfect figured? Hmm, so two more of this?
- 50:04Speaker 1: Yeah, this is why I'm not a puzzle Cracker would
- 50:17Speaker 1: have me and sing, I just answer random numbures.
- 50:30Speaker 2: No, I'm just not saying it. I'm just not saying it,
- 50:34Speaker 2: and I'm not gonna hold this up any longer.
- 50:36Speaker 11: Sixteen sixteen, all right, no points are rewarded.
- 50:39Speaker 10: We all I got two more Stevie thirteen Aaron, fuck you?
- 50:46Speaker 1: Yea, what did I do?
- 50:48Speaker 3: Well?
- 50:48Speaker 2: That's my answer for than you didn't pick it? No,
- 50:53Speaker 2: I have no idea what the rule is. I have
- 50:54Speaker 2: no idea what the hell's going on? Five?
- 51:01Speaker 3: Right?
- 51:03Speaker 11: Stevie earns a point, of course he does.
- 51:06Speaker 2: The rule of the game is that I'm not allowed
- 51:08Speaker 2: to win.
- 51:09Speaker 1: You said that last time. You're not a good loser.
- 51:14Speaker 2: I'm a perfectly good loser when I know what the
- 51:16Speaker 2: fuck is going on and it's a skill issue. It's
- 51:19Speaker 2: not a skill issue. I don't know what the fuck
- 51:22Speaker 2: is going on. He's getting all these points and I
- 51:24Speaker 2: have no idea why.
- 51:27Speaker 3: So, Yeah, it was as if we are on the
- 51:28Speaker 3: other side of that every time we play.
- 51:31Speaker 4: Yeah, crazy crazy?
- 51:33Speaker 2: How that rks last one? Stevie? What is I'm suddenly glad?
- 51:38Speaker 2: I did that ship to you all over and over
- 51:40Speaker 2: again for years.
- 51:42Speaker 3: Jesus, Okay, aaron one last number eighteen. Okay, no points
- 51:46Speaker 3: are rewarded.
- 51:47Speaker 2: Good, it's over all right.
- 51:49Speaker 9: Any want guessing?
- 51:51Speaker 2: No, I don't have a clue. I have no idea,
- 51:53Speaker 2: even though I know Stevie's automatically going to win because
- 51:55Speaker 2: he has more points. But I got I got fucking nothing.
- 51:58Speaker 1: If they're both and it's whoever has the higher one
- 52:01Speaker 1: gets the point.
- 52:03Speaker 4: No, that's that's part of part of it.
- 52:06Speaker 1: If there if it equals uh even number is no point.
- 52:10Speaker 2: No, that's not true. Because there was one where we
- 52:12Speaker 2: both gave even numbers and we both got points.
- 52:15Speaker 1: Oh yeah, that one.
- 52:16Speaker 2: So that didn't make any sense to me. Like I
- 52:19Speaker 2: was right with you. I was like, is it whoever
- 52:21Speaker 2: gives the higher odd number gets a point? And for
- 52:23Speaker 2: a while it's that seemed true. But then there was
- 52:25Speaker 2: one where you said three and I said two, and
- 52:27Speaker 2: they both weren't odd, but you still got a point,
- 52:30Speaker 2: and I'm like, what the fuck is happening?
- 52:33Speaker 4: So it's whoever has a higher odd there's.
- 52:35Speaker 2: No there's no commonality between how much it is odd.
- 52:38Speaker 2: How much they add up to three is odd, but
- 52:40Speaker 2: two isn't. The numbers that got points were like ten twelve, twenty, sixteen, five, twelve, sixteen, eighteen,
- 52:51Speaker 2: and eighteen and eighteen, like three times eighteen came up
- 52:55Speaker 2: and it got ceba point and only once did it
- 52:57Speaker 2: get me a point. So I'm just like, I, I
- 53:00Speaker 2: have no idea what the fuck's going on.
- 53:01Speaker 1: Here eighteen eighteen at all?
- 53:04Speaker 2: No, you didn't use eighteen, but the sum added up.
- 53:06Speaker 3: Table point when you're talking about Yeah.
- 53:10Speaker 2: He said how they add up had something to do
- 53:13Speaker 2: with it.
- 53:14Speaker 11: And I'm like, which one added up to eighteen?
- 53:16Speaker 2: Uh, ten and eight one, seventeen or five and thirteen?
- 53:21Speaker 2: So sixteen, seventeen and nineteen all edited ten and.
- 53:24Speaker 3: Eight and ten and eight you both got points, yes, yeah,
- 53:28Speaker 3: and you didn't see that any eighteen eighteen.
- 53:32Speaker 2: So he's getting clearly not as the evidence by me
- 53:37Speaker 2: losing my shit.
- 53:38Speaker 1: If you want the rules, please explain it to me.
- 53:40Speaker 2: So I can get angry at let.
- 53:43Speaker 9: Let's do the rules. Okay.
- 53:44Speaker 3: So the addition thing was you're adding up to twenty one.
- 53:47Speaker 3: That's why you got one through twenties. That way, if
- 53:49Speaker 3: one chose twenty and the one chose one, you'd got
- 53:52Speaker 3: twenty one. Anything higher than that doesn't count. You're both
- 53:55Speaker 3: or not rewording. However, if you get less than or
- 54:00Speaker 3: equal to twenty one, whoever had the higher odd number
- 54:04Speaker 3: gains a point. But whoever had but if the higher
- 54:08Speaker 3: number is an even number ten and eight, both players
- 54:12Speaker 3: get a point.
- 54:16Speaker 2: That doesn't make any sense a sense rules.
- 54:19Speaker 9: Of the game.
- 54:21Speaker 3: Okay, Yeah, we played tic tech or whatever hangman with
- 54:26Speaker 3: the rules of the k.
- 54:29Speaker 2: And adding to twenty one doesn't make sense anyway.
- 54:33Speaker 3: Well, you know what, next time, don't set me up
- 54:36Speaker 3: for a game when we're not prepared for one, and
- 54:38Speaker 3: maybe this wouldn't happen.
- 54:40Speaker 1: Hey, guys, sorry for the interruption, but we had an
- 54:42Speaker 1: issue with the end of the recording. So we would
- 54:45Speaker 1: like to thank you all for listening. If you'd like
