- 0:11Speaker 1: Jesus is the good reform it.
- 0:15Speaker 2: Tonight Australia's biggest mosque holds a fundraising dinner and rally
- 0:20Speaker 2: on the anniversary of the slaughter of twelve hundred Jews
- 0:22Speaker 2: last year. And we'll have the rabbi who was frog
- 0:26Speaker 2: marched away from another anti Israel event, along with his
- 0:29Speaker 2: Australian flag. What is happening to us? What have we become?
- 0:34Speaker 2: And a challenge to the work evidence that war does work,
- 0:38Speaker 2: Israel's war. But first I want to show you video
- 0:42Speaker 2: things that happened in Israeli year ago that our government
- 0:44Speaker 2: seems never to have seen or wanted to see. What
- 0:49Speaker 2: else can explain it's shocking reaction to October seven, a
- 0:53Speaker 2: year ago today, palisinin terrace from US Terrists from Gaza
- 0:57Speaker 2: invaded Israel and started a ward the Albanies. The Governor's
- 1:00Speaker 2: never understood and what we've seen since is breaks my heart,
- 1:05Speaker 2: I mean my faith in this country. It's shocking. You
- 1:11Speaker 2: would think that what happened to Israel then the massacre,
- 1:16Speaker 2: the beheadings, the rapes and the kidnappings that would have
- 1:20Speaker 2: united us in outrage, would have opened everyone's eyes to
- 1:24Speaker 2: the enemies that Israel faces that we increasingly face too. Instead,
- 1:28Speaker 2: we've seen an explosion of Jew hatred here that shames
- 1:32Speaker 2: this country. We've seen protesters actually identify with Islam's terrorists,
- 1:38Speaker 2: even flying their flags, and from the very day after
- 1:43Speaker 2: that massacre, they were already abusing Israel the victim and
- 1:47Speaker 2: menacing Jews. We've also had the Green vilifying Israel student
- 2:02Speaker 2: groups too, while Islamic preachers praised the terrorists smiling and unhappy.
- 2:11Speaker 3: I'm inited.
- 2:13Speaker 4: That's a day of courage.
- 2:25Speaker 2: And ever since, our cowardly government has utterly failed to
- 2:28Speaker 2: stand against this madness, this insane hatred of Israel and
- 2:33Speaker 2: of Jews. Our institutions, the ABC universities have also failed.
- 2:39Speaker 2: But before I get to that, I want to remind
- 2:42Speaker 2: you of what really happened a year ago. Because of
- 2:45Speaker 2: this wilful blindness, willful blindness, the deeds of that day,
- 2:51Speaker 2: and I think this blindness helps to explain the failure
- 2:54Speaker 2: of labor and institutions. I mean, you know, promised to anything.
- 2:58Speaker 2: The Albaniz hasn't even been to Israel's the massacre. I
- 3:01Speaker 2: reckon it's somehow scared that seeing the reality might force
- 3:04Speaker 2: him to take a side and the same with foreigners,
- 3:08Speaker 2: the penny one, which she did finally go to Israel.
- 3:10Speaker 2: She refused to visit any of the massacre sites. So
- 3:14Speaker 2: let me briefly show you what they and so many
- 3:17Speaker 2: o them left don't seem to have seen or want
- 3:20Speaker 2: to see. They don't worry. I'm not going to show
- 3:22Speaker 2: you any bodies or blood, but I do expect you
- 3:25Speaker 2: to be horrified they how your government and others have
- 3:28Speaker 2: reacted to what you will now see. A year ago today,
- 3:32Speaker 2: at dawn, thousands of US terrorists tore down the fences
- 3:36Speaker 2: that Israel had built on the border, and they went
- 3:38Speaker 2: hunting for Jews. There's no other way to put it. It
- 3:41Speaker 2: was a Jew hunt. I'll show three examples. First, they
- 3:45Speaker 2: attacked Kibbutz's, going door to door shooting people. In one
- 3:50Speaker 2: bit of footage, you can actually see a gunman chase
- 3:52Speaker 2: two women, shoot them both, including one who actually knelt
- 3:56Speaker 2: before him there in the distance, begging for her life life.
- 4:02Speaker 2: The Hamas gunman also turned the roads around there into
- 4:06Speaker 2: killing fields. They commandeered intersections, shot anyone who was in
- 4:09Speaker 2: a car. They also checked for Jews that tried to
- 4:13Speaker 2: hide in bomb shelters that you see along the main
- 4:15Speaker 2: roads near Gaza, many were packed with Jews because of
- 4:19Speaker 2: all the Hamas rockets as well as the shootings. Hamas
- 4:23Speaker 2: gunmen actually went to the gun shell at these bomb shelters,
- 4:27Speaker 2: fired at the civilians inside, even tossed in hand grenades
- 4:30Speaker 2: to blow them up. It was horrific. And the last example,
- 4:38Speaker 2: I must attack the music festival. Lots of young people,
- 4:41Speaker 2: they're just dancing through the night. But at dawn a
- 4:44Speaker 2: mus swooped. Many of the Jews ran for their lives
- 4:48Speaker 2: but were slaughtered as they fled, picked off shot. But
- 4:52Speaker 2: that was not all. Hamas took some of them hostage,
- 4:56Speaker 2: like this woman who's still the hostage by the way.
- 4:58Speaker 2: The video which I won't show you you when she
- 5:01Speaker 2: turns around, you will see her bleeding in the crotch
- 5:04Speaker 2: from a very very brutal rape. And she wasn't alone
- 5:10Speaker 2: live with him eh Elsewhere other women captured by Hamas
- 5:22Speaker 2: were warned they'd be raped as well. When you see that,
- 5:47Speaker 2: then I don't think you can any longer excuse it
- 5:50Speaker 2: by saying, wow, this is just, you know, a reaction
- 5:53Speaker 2: of the oppressed to Israel's violence. This is not something
- 5:56Speaker 2: you can explain like that, as Palestine is rising up
- 5:59Speaker 2: against occupation. I mean, for Star Gaz, it was not occupied.
- 6:03Speaker 2: And this is something else. This is evil, so profound.
- 6:08Speaker 2: I mean, I've seen footage of these attackers also cutting
- 6:10Speaker 2: off heads, one with a garden hoe and a warning.
- 6:15Speaker 2: This is the stressing that it should be. I've seen
- 6:18Speaker 2: the body of this German woman who was at that
- 6:20Speaker 2: Nova festival. She'd been killed, her body was broken, and
- 6:25Speaker 2: she was driven back. The body was driven back to
- 6:27Speaker 2: Garza with the crowd hitting it, spitting on it, screaming
- 6:31Speaker 2: at it. So when you see all this, you know
- 6:35Speaker 2: why Israel is so determined to never let this happen again.
- 6:42Speaker 2: In fact, what you saw and what I couldn't show,
- 6:45Speaker 2: you should have told the world what Israel is actually
- 6:49Speaker 2: facing on its borders from all the terrorist groups, by
- 6:52Speaker 2: the way, not just a mess, all of them by
- 6:54Speaker 2: funded by Iran and now attacking Israel from every side.
- 6:59Speaker 2: The idea that Israel can negotiate a peace deal with
- 7:03Speaker 2: these beasts is utterly insane. Now, these groups they don't
- 7:09Speaker 2: want peace with Israel. They when Israel destroyed, they say so. Yet,
- 7:15Speaker 2: how has the Albanezi government reacted to all this, well,
- 7:21Speaker 2: it seems to be like it thinks that Hamas and
- 7:24Speaker 2: hesbelone Iran can be reasoned with their people like you
- 7:27Speaker 2: and me, the same sort of values. Just a little upset.
- 7:31Speaker 2: It's like what actually happened, what really happened on October seven? Ah,
- 7:35Speaker 2: that's just one more tip for tat rather than a
- 7:39Speaker 2: sign of a unique and profound evil with which you
- 7:42Speaker 2: cannot compromise. Now, just two days after Israel suffered what
- 7:48Speaker 2: you just saw, the rapes and the mutilations and the
- 7:51Speaker 2: genocidal slaughter and the kidnappings from mister Penny Wong issued
- 7:55Speaker 2: a statement of the kind of this weak and unprincipled
- 7:59Speaker 2: government stuck ever since? Yes, she said Israel can defend
- 8:03Speaker 2: itself against the people who did this, but then started
- 8:08Speaker 2: telling Israel to restrain itself, restrain itself. And in fact,
- 8:14Speaker 2: never once since has this government actually backed what Israel
- 8:18Speaker 2: does to save itself.
- 8:21Speaker 5: I think it is always the right thing for Australia
- 8:23Speaker 5: to urge restraints in the protection of civilian lives.
- 8:28Speaker 2: I remember that was Penny Wong just two days after
- 8:30Speaker 2: the mass in Israel hadn't even sent a soldier into Gaza,
- 8:33Speaker 2: and already Israel, Israel, Israel, and instead of backing Israel,
- 8:38Speaker 2: I mean really backing Israel. This governor has attacked it
- 8:42Speaker 2: again and again as if they're the real villain's here.
- 8:45Speaker 2: It's overreacting. It must de escalate, think of the Palestinians,
- 8:51Speaker 2: make a peace steel and again today in the Prime
- 8:55Speaker 2: Minister's message on the anniversary of this slaughter of the Jews,
- 8:59Speaker 2: the worst one day massacre of Jews is the Nazis,
- 9:03Speaker 2: Alban again could not help but bracket any sympathy with
- 9:09Speaker 2: the reaching out to Muslims, the voters he needs in
- 9:12Speaker 2: Western Sydney, and also calling for Israel to make peace
- 9:16Speaker 2: with the monsters who detected, the monsters who wanted destroyed.
- 9:22Speaker 6: The number of Sibilians who have lost their lives is
- 9:25Speaker 6: a devastating tragedy. Today we reflect on the truth about
- 9:30Speaker 6: shared humanity, of the hope that peace is possible and
- 9:34Speaker 6: the belief that it belongs to all people.
- 9:39Speaker 2: You saw what happened on this day a year ago,
- 9:42Speaker 2: and you see that even now Hamas and he Blan Iran,
- 9:48Speaker 2: they don't stop trying to destroy Israel. They don't want
- 9:51Speaker 2: I don't call for peace. You know, let Israel lives.
- 9:56Speaker 2: He wants peace, Well, don't breage that at Israel.
- 10:00Speaker 7: Minutes.
- 10:00Speaker 2: So you tell Iran and Hamas and Hezbelah there will
- 10:04Speaker 2: be instant peace if they just lay down their arms
- 10:07Speaker 2: and let Israel live. And that's the only piece that
- 10:10Speaker 2: Israel can know. And until then, given the horror it faces,
- 10:16Speaker 2: it must trust to war to save it. Joining me
- 10:24Speaker 2: is Australia's top foreign affairs right to Greg Sheridan of
- 10:26Speaker 2: the Australian newspaper, Greg, great to see you. It's a
- 10:31Speaker 2: year now since As started this war by slaughtering twelve
- 10:34Speaker 2: hundred Jews, taking two hundred and fifty one hostages, including
- 10:38Speaker 2: a baby and a toddler who still are missing. Israel
- 10:43Speaker 2: since it back at Hamas and Garza, the Hesbelo terris
- 10:45Speaker 2: in Lebanon, at Iran itself. Even yesterday, the defenseman is
- 10:49Speaker 2: still sticking to the script. Israel has a right to
- 10:51Speaker 2: defend itself, but we can't. We can't actually say yes
- 10:55Speaker 2: to anything Israel actually does.
- 10:56Speaker 3: His she is Iran has been a take Israel. Israel
- 11:01Speaker 3: has a right to defend itself in the face of
- 11:04Speaker 3: all of that. The manner in which it defends itself
- 11:07Speaker 3: clearly matters.
- 11:09Speaker 7: Should Israel be attacking Hesbler targets in Lebanon or not.
- 11:15Speaker 3: Well, we've made clear that Israel has a right to
- 11:19Speaker 3: defend itself. No one wants to see this escalate into
- 11:23Speaker 3: a broader conflict.
- 11:25Speaker 2: God, I'm sick and tired of that that weaseling. How's
- 11:29Speaker 2: the government handled this?
- 11:30Speaker 7: Greg Sheridan, Well, Andrew like you, I'm really in fact,
- 11:37Speaker 7: I'm quite ashamed of the government, to tell you the truth.
- 11:40Speaker 2: It's a left.
- 11:41Speaker 7: Wing government trying to govern from the center, but it
- 11:44Speaker 7: doesn't know how, doesn't have the values, doesn't have the mindset,
- 11:48Speaker 7: its officers aren't staffed that way. And it's also its
- 11:53Speaker 7: responses being characterized by cowardice all over the place. I mean,
- 11:57Speaker 7: it's a bit scared of the reaction that's hipped up
- 11:59Speaker 7: now from normal Australians. So in the last day or
- 12:02Speaker 7: two it's made some slightly more pro Israel statements, but
- 12:06Speaker 7: it just it goes in the direction of whichever way
- 12:09Speaker 7: the wind is blowing. And Richard Males, I think has
- 12:12Speaker 7: become a tragic figure. I mean, he markets himself as
- 12:15Speaker 7: a defense hawk and a lifelong friend of Israel. But
- 12:18Speaker 7: I tell you what you wouldn't want to. You know,
- 12:20Speaker 7: if the only thing standing between you and disaster was
- 12:23Speaker 7: Richard Marles's courage and fidelity to friendship, you'd be in
- 12:25Speaker 7: a bad way. This is a government which has not
- 12:29Speaker 7: exhibited any values or any clear policy. I would have
- 12:33Speaker 7: more respect for it. If it were like the government
- 12:35Speaker 7: of Spain or Ireland and were just blatantly anti Israel.
- 12:38Speaker 7: I'd hate that, but I'd respect its position. Unlike Peter
- 12:42Speaker 7: Dutton and unlike the Greens, you know what they believe in.
- 12:46Speaker 7: You have no idea what this government believes in, except
- 12:48Speaker 7: that it's merely mouthed and it is scared to be
- 12:52Speaker 7: seen to be too friendly to Israel. As you said,
- 12:55Speaker 7: even from the day after the atrocities, it was scared
- 12:59Speaker 7: to see stand too close to the victims.
- 13:04Speaker 2: Well, Greg, I've been struggling to understand understand this. Given
- 13:11Speaker 2: what Israel faces, what we've seen on October seven, it
- 13:16Speaker 2: has been very eager to please Muslim communities. That's absolutely
- 13:19Speaker 2: number one, especially voters in Western City that is relying
- 13:22Speaker 2: on that. They don't want them to go to the Greens. Today,
- 13:24Speaker 2: the radical head of the Australian palastin and Avocacy Network,
- 13:28Speaker 2: the guy who's been behind a lot of the Melbourne protests,
- 13:31Speaker 2: ugly protests, gave Albanz this praise.
- 13:35Speaker 7: Anthony Albanesi absolutely is the best friend Palestine's ever had
- 13:40Speaker 7: in the lodge. Absolutely, it's a very low bar.
- 13:45Speaker 2: Well, praise for Nasha Mashni is no praise at all.
- 13:49Speaker 2: As as Albanesi actually tilted too far to the Muslim lobby.
- 13:57Speaker 7: Well, of course he has. But I wouldn't even just
- 13:59Speaker 7: entirely blamed the Muslims. They're a big fact that there's
- 14:02Speaker 7: no doubt there's one hundred thousand Jews in Australia. There's
- 14:04Speaker 7: nearly a million Muslims. So the government has just completely
- 14:07Speaker 7: sold out to electoral interests. But it's not only the
- 14:11Speaker 7: Muslim vote, it's the Green left vote. I mean, our
- 14:14Speaker 7: universities have been inculcating a hatred of the West and
- 14:18Speaker 7: a hatred of the United States and a hatred of
- 14:20Speaker 7: Israel for thirty or forty or fifty years now, and
- 14:23Speaker 7: it's Green's voters. I mean, Anthony Albanez is never going
- 14:26Speaker 7: to lose his seat to a Liberal, but he could
- 14:28Speaker 7: lose it to a Green and it's the non Muslim Caucasian,
- 14:34Speaker 7: middle class lefty vote that Labor is pandering to as
- 14:38Speaker 7: much as it is to the Muslims. But I don't
- 14:41Speaker 7: know that this government actually has any idea what it's doing.
- 14:45Speaker 7: I mean, you just have no idea. It's not as
- 14:48Speaker 7: if this government has a secret real position which it's
- 14:51Speaker 7: too scared to put. Its position seems to be just
- 14:54Speaker 7: whatever the focus group and the pr line and how
- 14:58Speaker 7: it's going to balance off the Greens against the mainstream
- 15:03Speaker 7: of Australia. And you see it with Richard Marles. I
- 15:06Speaker 7: think Males has become, as I say, a tragic and
- 15:08Speaker 7: pathetic figure. He gets trapped into a little formula. You know,
- 15:12Speaker 7: Israel has a right to defend itself, but we want
- 15:15Speaker 7: the escalation. And he can't answer a straight question. You
- 15:18Speaker 7: ask him one question beyond the talking point, and he
- 15:22Speaker 7: has no idea what to say. He just has his
- 15:24Speaker 7: little phrase worked out. And that's the limit of the
- 15:27Speaker 7: government's position. I don't think I've ever seen a government
- 15:29Speaker 7: as incompetent as this and answering straightforward questions.
- 15:34Speaker 2: Well, some of these guys, and I include Mark Dreyfus,
- 15:37Speaker 2: who's Jewish himself, should realize one day they'll look back
- 15:40Speaker 2: and realize they had a chance to make a moral stand.
- 15:43Speaker 2: They didn't take it, and I think that should be
- 15:46Speaker 2: a cause of a cause of shame for the rest
- 15:49Speaker 2: of their lives if they don't do something. Now. We're
- 15:51Speaker 2: going to have much more on this later in the show, Greg,
- 15:53Speaker 2: I just want to hear with something extraordinary New Zealand's
- 15:57Speaker 2: navy there's just nine ships. Realize, only six that actually
- 16:02Speaker 2: have cruise, but of yesterday it now has just five
- 16:07Speaker 2: ships left with cruise after a servo vessel hit a
- 16:10Speaker 2: reef and Samoa, of all things, caught fire and sank.
- 16:14Speaker 2: The Defense Minister treat this disasters as an extraordinary feat
- 16:18Speaker 2: of seamanship issues.
- 16:21Speaker 8: This was in the dark, heavy heavy seas. This was
- 16:25Speaker 8: an extraordinary feat of keeping people together and keeping them safe.
- 16:30Speaker 8: This was this is having spoken to the captain. This
- 16:34Speaker 8: was a tremendous effort from everybody, and everyone stayed calm.
- 16:40Speaker 2: Greg is New Zealand a total woke joke, A symbol
- 16:43Speaker 2: of it. Tyrannies are on the rise while the West
- 16:46Speaker 2: is so weak, well it is.
- 16:50Speaker 7: It is pathetic. I mean, the only thing in the
- 16:53Speaker 7: world that makes the Australian navy. Look, any good is
- 16:56Speaker 7: the New Zealand Navy. And this is now ye years
- 17:00Speaker 7: and years, decades and decades of neglect of New Zealand defense.
- 17:03Speaker 7: You know, once it was called the Prussia of the
- 17:05Speaker 7: South Seas. You know, the New Zealanders used to think
- 17:09Speaker 7: they were the better soldiers in the Anzac Corps than
- 17:12Speaker 7: the Aussies. And there was half a case to make
- 17:15Speaker 7: for that. But they've had ever since that buffoon David
- 17:20Speaker 7: Longi took them out of the Anzas Alliance, they have
- 17:23Speaker 7: run down their defense forces. Mind you, we're heading in
- 17:26Speaker 7: the same way. We haven't yet been sunk by a shoal. Heaven,
- 17:31Speaker 7: fullfend what we do against the Chinese if you can't
- 17:33Speaker 7: manage to defend yourself against a passive shoal. But you remember,
- 17:38Speaker 7: we sent a ship out a year or two ago
- 17:40Speaker 7: and it broke down along the way. Had to get
- 17:42Speaker 7: the NRAMA the RACV to come and give it roadside assistance. Well,
- 17:46Speaker 7: the New Zealanders managed to sink themselves in Samoa with
- 17:50Speaker 7: no hostile vessels. Now the Luxe And government is infinitely
- 17:53Speaker 7: better than the government it replaced the durn government. But
- 17:57Speaker 7: it's starting from so far behind, and it has so
- 18:00Speaker 7: little fiscal hebra and New Zealanders can't take defense seriously,
- 18:05Speaker 7: they can't take the Chinese challenge seriously. They are passengers
- 18:11Speaker 7: in history, they are not agency.
- 18:13Speaker 2: Still here they have taken the diversity tests seriously because
- 18:18Speaker 2: that was a female captain. Not did I say anything.
- 18:21Speaker 2: I'm just saying the diversity quota has been met, honestly, Greg,
- 18:26Speaker 2: Greg Sheard, thank you so much for your time on
- 18:30Speaker 2: this terrible day. Joining me is the panel Michael Kroger,
- 18:34Speaker 2: former Victorian Liberal President, Steve Conroy, former Labor Senator, the
- 18:37Speaker 2: Cabinet minister Michael. The war against Israel, that in itself
- 18:43Speaker 2: is a huge issue, and I'm going to talk to
- 18:45Speaker 2: a top military man of what's going on there, but
- 18:49Speaker 2: about a fascinating survey of Palestinians actually that shows this
- 18:52Speaker 2: US war is working. But what really is disturbing to
- 18:57Speaker 2: me is how the Albanize government, the Greens have reacted
- 19:00Speaker 2: to it. First, the Prime Minister of your assessment.
- 19:07Speaker 4: Andrew, I'd have to give him a zero out of
- 19:08Speaker 4: ten NASA mash and he's riet, He's the best friend
- 19:11Speaker 4: the Palestinian community I've ever had, not in terms of
- 19:16Speaker 4: not in terms of him supporting their demonstrations or whatever.
- 19:21Speaker 4: But he's been so morally bunk bankrupt, you know, on
- 19:25Speaker 4: the need to support democracies, freedom, liberty, security, He's been confused.
- 19:32Speaker 4: He hasn't visited Israel, Wong refuse to visit the sites
- 19:36Speaker 4: of the atrocities, restoring funding, to continually calling for two
- 19:43Speaker 4: state solution at a time where who would be the
- 19:46Speaker 4: other state. The list goes on and on. He's been
- 19:51Speaker 4: totally morally bankrupt, He's confused, and his support is plummeting
- 19:58Speaker 4: across this nation because at a time when you need
- 20:01Speaker 4: moral courage, we've got this pathetic, diminished figure who doesn't
- 20:07Speaker 4: know right from wrong at a time when it needs
- 20:09Speaker 4: courage in leadership. And as others have said tonight net
- 20:12Speaker 4: Yahoo show an extraordinary courage in the face of great adversity.
- 20:16Speaker 4: But this guy's been a terrible, a terrible leader, and
- 20:21Speaker 4: it's been appalling for the nation.
- 20:25Speaker 2: Steve Conroy, You've actually sat around many a table and
- 20:31Speaker 2: government with Albanezi. Where does his anti Israel leanings, whether
- 20:38Speaker 2: they're intentional or not, actually come from, Because it can't
- 20:40Speaker 2: just be wanting Muslim votes. Now in Western City, he
- 20:43Speaker 2: visited the West Bank and met the deeply corruptorist leader
- 20:46Speaker 2: Yasir Arafat. Twenty six years ago, visited a Panasing refugee
- 20:50Speaker 2: camp and somehow came back so impressed the co founder
- 20:54Speaker 2: of the Parliamentary Friends of Palistine with Joe Hockey Mars
- 20:57Speaker 2: and address at anti Israel rally during an to Fada.
- 21:00Speaker 2: How do you explain his stance?
- 21:04Speaker 9: Well, I don't accept some of the characterizations of Michael
- 21:07Speaker 9: or yourself in terms of Elbow. I've known him a
- 21:10Speaker 9: long time. I've known him his whole political life. We
- 21:12Speaker 9: were in Young Labor together from nineteen eighty four eighty five,
- 21:17Speaker 9: and he is consistently over the last twenty years been
- 21:23Speaker 9: an opponent of things like the boycott. You know, remember
- 21:26Speaker 9: the ol BDIs. He was a champion against BDIs. His
- 21:31Speaker 9: statement even today was a magnificent statement in support of
- 21:37Speaker 9: the Israeli people and in memory of the people who
- 21:42Speaker 9: were massacred. So I don't accept your characterization. I think
- 21:47Speaker 9: there is a.
- 21:48Speaker 2: Broad I don't accept your characterization of this. And he've
- 21:50Speaker 2: made a reference to the point where Jews around Australia
- 21:54Speaker 2: feel disappointed in him, abandoned by him. How do you
- 21:58Speaker 2: explain the fact that he didn't go in as hard
- 22:02Speaker 2: for Israel to say.
- 22:04Speaker 9: Bob Hawk, Well, what we're seeing at the moment in
- 22:09Speaker 9: Australia is a very significant shift in the broad left.
- 22:14Speaker 9: And what I would say to anybody in the Labor Party,
- 22:17Speaker 9: any Labor voter, is that to give you one example
- 22:22Speaker 9: that Melbournians are going to be facing soon in the
- 22:25Speaker 9: Melbourne City Council, you should ignore the Labor Party how
- 22:31Speaker 9: to vote card that recommends that you vote for the Greens,
- 22:34Speaker 9: and you should vote for Nick Reith, who is not
- 22:38Speaker 9: preferencing the Greens. And if you're going to vote for
- 22:41Speaker 9: the Labor candidate number one, you should not follow and
- 22:45Speaker 9: preference to the Greens Anti Semitic party after that, and
- 22:50Speaker 9: Labor voters all around the country need to start thinking
- 22:54Speaker 9: about this going forward, because you've seen that poll today.
- 22:57Speaker 9: The vast majority of Australia I'm beginning to turn their
- 23:02Speaker 9: back on these daily protests, these weekly protests.
- 23:07Speaker 2: Don't just interrupt and endorse what you just said, because
- 23:10Speaker 2: I think you spoke for me and for Michael Kroger
- 23:14Speaker 2: there in the Melbourne City Council election. Labor is disgraceful
- 23:17Speaker 2: in preferencing the Greens given what we're seeing, and yes,
- 23:21Speaker 2: vote for Nick Reese. I know he's a former labor guy,
- 23:25Speaker 2: but he's got a liberal running mate and Nick is
- 23:29Speaker 2: a decent bloke, So you speak for us both. But
- 23:31Speaker 2: I noticed you did not answer my question on the
- 23:35Speaker 2: Prime Minister. How is all this going to play out
- 23:38Speaker 2: in the election, Michael Kroger, So.
- 23:43Speaker 4: This is getting worse for Albin Easy. You've seen Nepole today.
- 23:47Speaker 4: Sixty percent of people don't like these demonstrations. Of course,
- 23:53Speaker 4: it's the same number that voted against the Voice. So
- 23:56Speaker 4: what we're seeing is this large group of Australians that
- 24:00Speaker 4: revel in freedom, peace and democracy, that love the unity
- 24:05Speaker 4: of this country being appalled by this hatefield division that
- 24:10Speaker 4: is being stoked by the hard left in this country
- 24:15Speaker 4: in the name of a free Palestine. Please, we're not
- 24:19Speaker 4: that stupid when they hold when they hold flags of Hesbalah,
- 24:22Speaker 4: pictures of Nasrallah, pictures of Itally Ityler Kameni, et cetera,
- 24:28Speaker 4: et cetera, et cetera. So the Australian public are quietly saying,
- 24:32Speaker 4: as they did in the Voice, no people staking this
- 24:35Speaker 4: division not the type of people we want to have
- 24:39Speaker 4: having a big say in this country, and how does
- 24:41Speaker 4: that plat for Albinisi. He is seen as being incredibly
- 24:45Speaker 4: weak on the issue of Israel. You know, anti Semitism
- 24:50Speaker 4: has never been more rife, more plentiful, more hatefield than
- 24:54Speaker 4: has been in my lifetime as there is now under
- 24:58Speaker 4: the watch of Anthony Albanezi. And he will never ever
- 25:01Speaker 4: live that down, and nor should nor should he. He's
- 25:04Speaker 4: been pathetic in relation to the universities, pathetic in relation
- 25:07Speaker 4: to Israel, pathetic in relation to these demonstrations. I mean,
- 25:12Speaker 4: he is a man of the hard left. He is
- 25:14Speaker 4: not a friend of Israel, no matter what he says.
- 25:17Speaker 4: His history and what you're seeing during his government tells
- 25:19Speaker 4: you this is not a friend of the Jewish community.
- 25:22Speaker 4: Albanizi is not, and people in the Uwish community know
- 25:26Speaker 4: that they've worked it out now and if there was
- 25:30Speaker 4: anything to this blake, he would have sacked Penny Wong.
- 25:33Speaker 4: He would have sacked Wong months ago and had someone
- 25:36Speaker 4: in there who actually supported freedom and democracies and the
- 25:40Speaker 4: rule of law, the types of things they have in Israel,
- 25:43Speaker 4: which they don't have in any other Arab country, any
- 25:46Speaker 4: Arab country in the world.
- 25:47Speaker 2: Andrew Michael Craig and Stephen Conroy, thank you both for
- 25:51Speaker 2: your time. After the break A stunning pole of Palestinians.
- 25:57Speaker 2: You know, it seems that Anthony Albaniz is wrong and
- 26:01Speaker 2: Israel totally right. Its war is working. Now a stunning
- 26:10Speaker 2: poll to remind us that yes, sometimes war does work.
- 26:13Speaker 2: I know war is shocking and horrible and all that,
- 26:16Speaker 2: but I tell you there's sometimes worse things than fighting
- 26:19Speaker 2: a war, including losing one. From the day that Israel
- 26:24Speaker 2: was attacked by hamasteris years a year ago, Israel has
- 26:28Speaker 2: been told restrain yourself, don't turn this into a war.
- 26:33Speaker 2: America has said that, Britain has said that, the United
- 26:35Speaker 2: Nations has said it, and Australia has said it again
- 26:38Speaker 2: and again to Israel, even last week after he ran
- 26:41Speaker 2: and fired one hundred and eighty one ballistic missiles at
- 26:44Speaker 2: Israel in a single day.
- 26:46Speaker 10: Israel, of course, has a right to defend itself. What
- 26:50Speaker 10: we have called for consistently is for a de escalation in.
- 26:56Speaker 6: The region of diplomacy.
- 26:58Speaker 10: However, cannot succeed an escalation of this conflict.
- 27:04Speaker 2: Israel has consistently ignored them. Even today was as sending
- 27:08Speaker 2: more weaponry into Gaza to deal with remaining Hamas Terrists there,
- 27:13Speaker 2: and now comes a pole just to remind us that
- 27:16Speaker 2: in the Middle East, at least it is force that
- 27:19Speaker 2: gets you respect and safety. You take this new pole well.
- 27:23Speaker 2: Back in December, the respected Arab World for Research and Development,
- 27:27Speaker 2: based in the Palestine city of Ramala, polled people in
- 27:30Speaker 2: the West Bank and Gaza Palestinians and found that seventy
- 27:33Speaker 2: five percent supported that massacre on October seven, ninety percent
- 27:40Speaker 2: wanted no coexistence with Israel, and seventy six percent backed Hamas,
- 27:47Speaker 2: which is all shocking, but what a difference of war
- 27:50Speaker 2: has made a ward Israel is winning because since then
- 27:53Speaker 2: Israeli has ignored Australia in the US and the UN,
- 27:55Speaker 2: and destroyed most of the mus Terrist army, taken out
- 27:59Speaker 2: almost the entire leadership of the Hesbeala terrorist army in Lebanon.
- 28:03Speaker 2: And now that same polling group has done another pole
- 28:07Speaker 2: have found support for the October seven massacre has dropped
- 28:10Speaker 2: to sixty seven percent, still high, but a third of
- 28:13Speaker 2: them now admit the attack was flawed or involved heinous
- 28:17Speaker 2: or criminal acts. But most striking is that eighty percent
- 28:20Speaker 2: of Palestinians polled now want, albeit grudgingly, a Palestinian state
- 28:25Speaker 2: to live alongside Israel, and just eight percent said they'd
- 28:31Speaker 2: vote for Hamas eight percent. Joining me from Tel Aviv
- 28:34Speaker 2: in Israel, of course, is Colonel Richard Kemp, a retired
- 28:38Speaker 2: British Army officer who's commanded Operation Finger in Afghanistan and
- 28:42Speaker 2: has studied the Israeli Army's war tactics and been to
- 28:46Speaker 2: most of the fronts Now, Richard, great to see you again. Listen.
- 28:51Speaker 2: Israel's war is it working.
- 28:55Speaker 11: It is working, and it's working extremely effectively. It's taken
- 28:59Speaker 11: a lot time a year now pretty much, but it
- 29:04Speaker 11: is gradually succeeding. And Israel has defeated Hamas in Gaza.
- 29:10Speaker 11: Hamas in Gala is no longer a significant threat to Israel.
- 29:13Speaker 11: That doesn't mean it's been eliminated. It's still got There's
- 29:16Speaker 11: still a lot of work to do there to get
- 29:17Speaker 11: rid of ha Mass completely, as far as that can
- 29:20Speaker 11: be done. But it's been very successful in the most
- 29:23Speaker 11: complicated battlefield the world's ever seen. And in the north
- 29:27Speaker 11: in Lebanon, Hisbela has been decapitated and Israel is now
- 29:32Speaker 11: working very, very effectively in southern Lebanon on the ground,
- 29:36Speaker 11: to destroy the hisbellar apparatus, and in the air as well,
- 29:40Speaker 11: to destroy some of the rocket systems and another infrastructure
- 29:45Speaker 11: further north. That, of course, the next major problem for
- 29:48Speaker 11: Israel to tackle is Iran. And we don't know what
- 29:52Speaker 11: Israel's reponse is going to be to the Iranian Bob
- 29:56Speaker 11: Marblant a few days ago, but it's going to be
- 29:58Speaker 11: something I think quite.
- 29:59Speaker 2: Decisive now, Richard. As you know, there are two elements
- 30:06Speaker 2: for this, and you sort of hinted at it in
- 30:08Speaker 2: your answer there. One is the military assets and the
- 30:12Speaker 2: people holding the guns right now. The other is the
- 30:15Speaker 2: people's will to keep supplying fresh recruits and support and
- 30:20Speaker 2: let them take control of the territory and all that
- 30:22Speaker 2: kind of thing that it applies to Gaza, that applies
- 30:25Speaker 2: to Lebanon, the Hezbollah that's taken over a third of Lebanon.
- 30:28Speaker 2: There the first bit I agree with you. Do you
- 30:32Speaker 2: think though, that the popular will in Gaza and in
- 30:36Speaker 2: Lebanon is now not for those terrorist armies but working
- 30:41Speaker 2: against it, Like what a calamity have these people in
- 30:44Speaker 2: you know, brought to us?
- 30:48Speaker 11: Well, I think there's an element of that but it's
- 30:49Speaker 11: very hard to assess exactly how strong that is. Hamas
- 30:54Speaker 11: do still have considerable control political control inside Gaza, and
- 31:00Speaker 11: it's hard to eradicate that. One of the major tools
- 31:04Speaker 11: they have at their disposal is they have control of
- 31:07Speaker 11: aide supplies, which are critical to obviously to all the people,
- 31:10Speaker 11: and they have to therefore cawtaw really to Hamass in
- 31:14Speaker 11: order to get the aid that the international community is
- 31:17Speaker 11: deliver it. But I think only once ha Mass has
- 31:21Speaker 11: been much more strongly defeated in Gaza are we likely
- 31:25Speaker 11: to see any significant change. If we do, I think
- 31:28Speaker 11: that there's going to be a problem from Gaza for
- 31:30Speaker 11: many years to come up in the north. In Lebanon,
- 31:34Speaker 11: I've certainly heard of indications that there is movement against
- 31:39Speaker 11: his Balar Now even some Lebanese politicians are speaking out
- 31:43Speaker 11: against his Balla who didn't do so before, and that
- 31:46Speaker 11: could lead to them being undermined if Israel is successful
- 31:49Speaker 11: at inflicting even greater harm on his Balard than they
- 31:53Speaker 11: have now. But I don't think either of these two
- 31:57Speaker 11: problems are going to be soluble by military force alone.
- 32:00Speaker 11: Military force is critical, and only once these organizations have
- 32:04Speaker 11: been neutralized to a large extent, then can there be
- 32:09Speaker 11: any real significant political change in either of those two territories.
- 32:14Speaker 2: And of course there's one other factor in the culture
- 32:19Speaker 2: of these groups. Shame is also very important. If you're weak,
- 32:25Speaker 2: if you fail, you've been shamed, and that makes you
- 32:27Speaker 2: list attractive as a recruiting agent. Richard Camp. People will
- 32:34Speaker 2: be saying, how dare you say Israel's winning the war?
- 32:39Speaker 2: What about all the deaths of these civilians? What's your
- 32:42Speaker 2: response to that?
- 32:45Speaker 11: Yeah, I agree, it's tragic. There's been a lot, very
- 32:47Speaker 11: large number of civilians killed inside Gaza since the war began,
- 32:51Speaker 11: and some in Lebanon as well. But unfortunately, you can't
- 32:54Speaker 11: fight a war in the twenty first entrure or even
- 32:57Speaker 11: in earlier centuries and not killed villions when your enemy
- 33:01Speaker 11: is fighting from within the civilian population, and that's certainly
- 33:05Speaker 11: true of both Hamas and his Balla. We've seen footage
- 33:07Speaker 11: recently of rockets inside people's houses in Lebanon, and also,
- 33:13Speaker 11: of course, the Hamas infrastructure spreads through a lot of
- 33:17Speaker 11: the civilian buildings and areas in Gaza, including hospital, schools, etc.
- 33:23Speaker 11: And the idea has tried. I've been into Gaza and myself.
- 33:27Speaker 11: I've seen their efforts firsthand. They've done everything they can
- 33:31Speaker 11: to get at her mass while minimizing civilian deaths. But nevertheless,
- 33:35Speaker 11: there are still a lot of civilian deaths unfortunately. I
- 33:38Speaker 11: think the most recent analyzes of and it's terrible to
- 33:43Speaker 11: reduce human life to statistics, but the.
- 33:45Speaker 1: Most recent analyzes of the ratios between civilian and military
- 33:50Speaker 1: fatalities in Gaza are very favorable compared to other conflicts,
- 33:54Speaker 1: for example, Afghanistan, Iraq, and conflicts more generally where the
- 33:58Speaker 1: number of the ratio of civilian deaths has been much
- 34:01Speaker 1: higher than in Gaza today.
- 34:03Speaker 11: So yeah, it's a terrible situation.
- 34:06Speaker 1: None of us like it at all.
- 34:07Speaker 11: I don't think certainly the Israelis don't like it either,
- 34:10Speaker 11: but they recognize that you cannot defeat a terrorist threat
- 34:16Speaker 11: to you that exists in the civilian population without unfortunately
- 34:18Speaker 11: killing civilians.
- 34:21Speaker 2: Good Richard Kemp, thank you so much, indeed, for being
- 34:24Speaker 2: so generous with your time after the break while you
- 34:29Speaker 2: weren't watching Britain's knew appallingly woke government gave up a
- 34:35Speaker 2: colony in our backyard that was bent to help keep
- 34:38Speaker 2: us safe and isn't China pleased. Well, this work destroying
- 34:46Speaker 2: the West in New Zealand just said goodbye to another
- 34:49Speaker 2: ship that just hit a reef that it was supposedly monitoring.
- 34:53Speaker 2: Last week, an astonishing decision though by the new British
- 34:56Speaker 2: Labor government to give away islands in the middle of
- 34:59Speaker 2: the Indian Ocean that it's held for more than two
- 35:01Speaker 2: hundred years, to give away the Chagoff's Islands, which include
- 35:06Speaker 2: the Diego Garcia base which the US uses as well.
- 35:10Speaker 2: Now the British government decided to give them to Mauritius,
- 35:13Speaker 2: which is two thousand kilometers away, as long as Mauritius
- 35:17Speaker 2: led at least the base for nine to nine years.
- 35:19Speaker 2: And of course to do that, wouldn't it join me
- 35:21Speaker 2: from London is writer, broadcast and commentator Esther Cranky. I
- 35:25Speaker 2: could not believe this when I heard it. Why has
- 35:28Speaker 2: the government done this? Is you know? Is it out
- 35:32Speaker 2: of shame of holding on to what's deemed to be
- 35:35Speaker 2: part of Africa? You know this colonial cringe.
- 35:39Speaker 12: Well, unfortunately, we have a government made up of student
- 35:42Speaker 12: activists that are under the delusion that if we keep
- 35:44Speaker 12: self flagellating over history, somehow the world is going to
- 35:48Speaker 12: respect Britain more. And no, there's no other person that
- 35:51Speaker 12: fits the bill of this description than David Lammy. And
- 35:55Speaker 12: now David Lammy is clearly a foreign secretary who is
- 35:58Speaker 12: out of his death call his pointless arms embargo partial
- 36:02Speaker 12: arms embargo to Israel of thirteen military parts, when when
- 36:07Speaker 12: Israel was in the thick of war, and which had
- 36:10Speaker 12: virtually no material effect on on the war effort. But
- 36:13Speaker 12: he decided to do that to virtue signal. And this
- 36:15Speaker 12: is another thing that he's done as well, giving away
- 36:17Speaker 12: the Chegos Islands. Now, it must be said that this
- 36:19Speaker 12: process was started in the under the Conservatives who bow
- 36:23Speaker 12: to pressure about this ridiculous idea of colonization and handing
- 36:26Speaker 12: back the Chegos Islands to the Mauritian government without even
- 36:29Speaker 12: asking the Chegos Islanders. This idea that for some reason
- 36:32Speaker 12: Mauritius is a much better administrative of the islands is
- 36:35Speaker 12: literally uh, you know, it's a letter. The Chegos Islanders
- 36:39Speaker 12: will even moved to these islands to farm coconuts by
- 36:41Speaker 12: the Mauritians, but they don't exactly have a good track
- 36:44Speaker 12: record of treating them well. And that the major concern
- 36:47Speaker 12: is the fact that Mauritius is this tiny island state
- 36:49Speaker 12: that's that's very friendly to Beijing, and we know that
- 36:52Speaker 12: Beijing doesn't respect the treaties or the sovereignty of countries,
- 36:56Speaker 12: and so there's no guarantee that they're actually, you know,
- 36:59Speaker 12: even even actually hold out this ninety nine year deal.
- 37:03Speaker 12: You know, if that were just a little pressure from Beijing,
- 37:05Speaker 12: they could crumble and Britain would have given up a
- 37:08Speaker 12: strategic location in the Indian Ocean to its rival. And
- 37:13Speaker 12: it just beggars belief this idea that you know, handing
- 37:16Speaker 12: over handing the control of the Chego's silence the Mauritians
- 37:19Speaker 12: is a much better deal for the Chegosians.
- 37:21Speaker 3: Who, by the way, weren't even asked.
- 37:23Speaker 12: They weren't even asked who they would prefer to govern
- 37:26Speaker 12: those islands, whether the Brits, which have a much stronger
- 37:29Speaker 12: human rights track record than Mauritius, which is ally to Beijing,
- 37:32Speaker 12: which has a terrible human human rights record. So, you know,
- 37:35Speaker 12: these are the kinds of things that we were seeing
- 37:36Speaker 12: with this new government, and I suspect it's only going
- 37:38Speaker 12: to get worse. What's next the Falkland Islands or Gibraltar.
- 37:41Speaker 12: I mean, this idea that we can just you know,
- 37:44Speaker 12: apologize constantly for the past at the expense of our
- 37:48Speaker 12: own national security interest is just beggars belief.
- 37:52Speaker 2: Well, you write a really good point there. I mean,
- 37:55Speaker 2: it must be a real political issue and sort of
- 37:58Speaker 2: the government having to, oh, we won't give away the
- 38:01Speaker 2: Falklands or what's that worth? I mean, Argentina is one
- 38:04Speaker 2: of the Falklands. British Britain under Margaret Thatcher went to
- 38:07Speaker 2: war to defend them from an Argentinian invasion. But why
- 38:11Speaker 2: wouldn't you give away the Falklands. Why wouldn't you give
- 38:14Speaker 2: Gibraltar back to Spain?
- 38:16Speaker 12: Well exactly, And it's the kind of naive mindset that
- 38:20Speaker 12: we are expected to tolerate. But what is stopping them
- 38:23Speaker 12: from really giving away the Falklands if this is the
- 38:25Speaker 12: trend that they're setting. But the wider implications is what
- 38:27Speaker 12: concerns me, because we live in a world with the
- 38:30Speaker 12: China's and the Irans and the North Koreas and the
- 38:31Speaker 12: Russia who don't care about our constant pontificating or self
- 38:34Speaker 12: flagellating over history, who don't care that we're willing to
- 38:37Speaker 12: sacrifice our own national security interests because of a bunch
- 38:41Speaker 12: of student activists have taken over the government and at
- 38:44Speaker 12: the end of the day, this is a dereliction of
- 38:46Speaker 12: duty because the government is first and foremost supposed to
- 38:48Speaker 12: protect British citizens within and outside of its borders. Giving
- 38:51Speaker 12: up key strategic land masses in the middle of the
- 38:54Speaker 12: Indian Ocean isn't one of those things to do that.
- 38:57Speaker 12: And David Lammy surprisingly has been using his position as
- 39:01Speaker 12: Foreign Secretary to go and stand in the UN and
- 39:03Speaker 12: just pontificate about how he's the first black man in
- 39:06Speaker 12: his role, forgetting that the UN Secretary General years ago
- 39:09Speaker 12: was one of the UN Secrety Generals was Kofiana, a
- 39:11Speaker 12: black man from Ghana. He is using his position not
- 39:14Speaker 12: to further an interest of Britain, but to talk about
- 39:16Speaker 12: the fact that he's so happy to be a black
- 39:18Speaker 12: man in that position, which is not only pointless but
- 39:20Speaker 12: also a little bit insulting. What happened to the Britain
- 39:22Speaker 12: that you're supposed to represent. Do their interest not matter?
- 39:24Speaker 12: Is it just about you and your your massive ego?
- 39:28Speaker 2: Oh, for goodness sake, It's like taking the position is therapy,
- 39:32Speaker 2: a little personal enhancement to as the cracker. I can't believe,
- 39:36Speaker 2: but you know what that Britain should say if you're
- 39:39Speaker 2: such a probable, you know, to China for instance, China
- 39:42Speaker 2: you go first, you get back to Bit and then
- 39:44Speaker 2: maybe we'll consider giving back Gibraltar. Let's see how that works.
- 39:48Speaker 2: It's to correctly, thank you so much for your time.
- 39:52Speaker 2: That's astonishing, absolutely astonishing. Work is killing the West. And
- 39:57Speaker 2: after the break talk to the rabbi dragged away with
- 40:01Speaker 2: Australian flag from another anti Israel protests. Plus that fundraising
- 40:07Speaker 2: dinner for Palestine Tonight, Australia's biggest mosque, held on the
- 40:11Speaker 2: anniversary of the massacre of twelve hundred Jews a year ago.
- 40:19Speaker 2: Most of our politicians are too polite to mention it.
- 40:22Speaker 2: But where are Australia's Muslim leaders today? To this day,
- 40:27Speaker 2: the Australian National Imam's Council that's the top body representing
- 40:30Speaker 2: Muslim clerics in this country, has not issued one press
- 40:33Speaker 2: release saying one word of sympathy or horror over the
- 40:37Speaker 2: slaughter of the Jews Bahamas a year ago. Today. Meanwhile,
- 40:42Speaker 2: the Kember Mosque, our biggest tonight, is in Sydney holding
- 40:46Speaker 2: a fundraiser on this very day, the anniversary of the
- 40:49Speaker 2: slaughter of those Jews. It's a fundraiser for Palestine. And
- 40:54Speaker 2: one of the speakers is the very shaikh who was
- 40:57Speaker 2: elated to hear of that must attack the year ago, smiling.
- 41:03Speaker 3: And I'm happy, I'm innited.
- 41:08Speaker 2: That's a day of courage. So why is that Bozo
- 41:21Speaker 2: and the other sheiks holding in the Kember Mosque tonight
- 41:25Speaker 2: a fundraiser on this anniversary? I mean, Israel didn't invade
- 41:29Speaker 2: Garza for a couple of weeks after that, so it's
- 41:31Speaker 2: not about oh, you know the war on Gaza started tonight.
- 41:35Speaker 2: It didn't, so how can this be anything but a
- 41:38Speaker 2: celebration of that slaughter. Here's one of the other speakers
- 41:42Speaker 2: that addressed the rally beforehand.
- 41:47Speaker 3: The seventh of October.
- 41:49Speaker 2: What it is is an act of resistance and friends, unbelievable.
- 41:58Speaker 2: That was the rally earlier at this most joining me
- 42:00Speaker 2: Michael Danby for Federal Labor politician Rabbi Osher Feldman, Michael said,
- 42:06Speaker 2: with you, what does this event tonight at the Kimber
- 42:08Speaker 2: mosfel you.
- 42:11Speaker 13: That there is a deeply alienated group of people who
- 42:14Speaker 13: have no respect for the murders of innocent Israelis and
- 42:18Speaker 13: you're dead right, Andrew. It's not just that mosque, but
- 42:21Speaker 13: the Mum's Council should have come out with at least
- 42:24Speaker 13: in the beginning some words of sympathy, especially if they
- 42:28Speaker 13: expect sympathy for Palestinians who've been killed in the military
- 42:33Speaker 13: operations in Gaza, you know, fear for both sides. Twenty
- 42:39Speaker 13: or thirty years of interfaith meetings all seems to mean
- 42:44Speaker 13: nothing to them.
- 42:47Speaker 2: Now this rally was authorized by a new Southwest Police
- 42:51Speaker 2: gi event Tick helped close the streets. Meanwhile, Rabbi Feldman,
- 42:55Speaker 2: you yesterday this is a different story. You confronted another
- 42:59Speaker 2: ant Israel protest Insydney with an Australian flag. This is
- 43:05Speaker 2: after we've been seeing Hesbola flags being flown. No one
- 43:08Speaker 2: the rested it. This is what happened to you. You
- 43:12Speaker 2: can see the footage on the screen. You're almost being
- 43:15Speaker 2: carried away by police. You're holding your Australian flag in
- 43:18Speaker 2: one hand. Please say they were just removing you for
- 43:20Speaker 2: your own safety because of your interaction with the crowd.
- 43:23Speaker 2: What do you think the story was? What do I think?
- 43:28Speaker 5: I'll tell you what the story was. It's completely false.
- 43:32Speaker 5: They were taking me out for my own safety. I'll
- 43:34Speaker 5: tell you why it's false, because they only allowed me
- 43:38Speaker 5: to enter the rally with a police escort for my safety.
- 43:44Speaker 5: So I was there with the police escort and I
- 43:48Speaker 5: had no negative interaction with anyone, and suddenly, like some
- 43:54Speaker 5: senior officer comes up to me and says, we have
- 43:57Speaker 5: to detain you for for peace, for peace. So they
- 44:04Speaker 5: dragged me out like a dog out of the park.
- 44:08Speaker 5: They didn't ask me to leave. I would have left
- 44:10Speaker 5: if they would have asked me to leave. They didn't
- 44:12Speaker 5: ask me to leave. They dragged me like an animal.
- 44:15Speaker 5: And then when my kipper fell off, they didn't. They
- 44:21Speaker 5: didn't put it back. I pleaded with them to put mike,
- 44:25Speaker 5: please put put.
- 44:26Speaker 2: It back on.
- 44:27Speaker 5: They refuse to. They refused to. You know, they just
- 44:31Speaker 5: wanted to make a spectacle of me. That's what it
- 44:34Speaker 5: seemed like. You know, if if imagine if a Sikh
- 44:37Speaker 5: would have would their turban fell off or a Muslim
- 44:41Speaker 5: their hijab fell off? You know, with the same standard
- 44:45Speaker 5: be applied. And you know, do I have to hold
- 44:48Speaker 5: do I have to wave a Hezbollah or a Musk
- 44:51Speaker 5: flag in order rather than an Australian flag in order
- 44:56Speaker 5: not to get arrested in this country. Where has our
- 45:00Speaker 5: great country gone? Where is Australia gone? This is not
- 45:04Speaker 5: the Australia I grew up in. And one last thing, Andrew,
- 45:08Speaker 5: you know, I'm a proud Jew and I'm a proud
- 45:12Speaker 5: fourth generation Australian and I was viciously pulled out of
- 45:17Speaker 5: that park because one of those two reasons, And that
- 45:21Speaker 5: to me is disgraceful.
- 45:26Speaker 2: Michael, what do you make of that?
- 45:28Speaker 13: Well, Rabi Feldman, I think most Australians would be deeply
- 45:33Speaker 13: ashamed of what happened to you, and the police in
- 45:38Speaker 13: New South Wales and Victoria have shown repeated weakness and
- 45:42Speaker 13: wokeness with these pro Hamas pro Hesbala rallies. The fact
- 45:48Speaker 13: that you were arrested carrying an Australian flag, most Australians
- 45:52Speaker 13: would regard that it's absolutely shameful and side with you.
- 45:56Speaker 13: But our police should be getting instructions that the people
- 45:59Speaker 13: carrying Hezbola and Jamas flags could be instantly arrested. There
- 46:03Speaker 13: were hez Bulah flags at the rally in Melbourne and
- 46:06Speaker 13: it wasn't done. Shame on the police in Victoria shame
- 46:10Speaker 13: on just Cindarellen for not organizing it.
- 46:13Speaker 7: Well.
- 46:13Speaker 2: I think the Rabbi has made an excellent point. If
- 46:15Speaker 2: you've beenkarying to Hesbelo one, he might have been safe.
- 46:18Speaker 2: I just sick with you for a second, Michael, because
- 46:22Speaker 2: this gets me. The ABC, talking about institutions that let
- 46:25Speaker 2: us down, has been spreading the anti Israel poison. We've
- 46:28Speaker 2: given examples before Hamas. Now he claims that Israel has
- 46:32Speaker 2: killed forty two thousand people in Gaza, which some statisticians question.
- 46:36Speaker 2: Many would be terrorists and many of the civilians would
- 46:40Speaker 2: be their families. But the ABC's John Lyones today claim
- 46:43Speaker 2: that the true death hult was four times worse. If
- 46:47Speaker 2: he said you added starvation, what's starvation and lack of
- 46:51Speaker 2: medical care?
- 46:52Speaker 14: Here he is on the ABC De Lancet magazine based
- 46:56Speaker 14: on a lot of their doctors and medical connections are
- 46:59Speaker 14: saying the belize the death toll could be as high
- 47:01Speaker 14: as one hundred and eighty six thousand people, the typical lions.
- 47:07Speaker 2: Michael, that claim is false. Lancer didn't make that claim,
- 47:10Speaker 2: was a letter, not even a study to lanced the
- 47:14Speaker 2: lead writers of Palatin the streams who are defended Palatin
- 47:17Speaker 2: the Trusties like the murder of to Israeli reservists by
- 47:20Speaker 2: the man in that photo with the bloody hands who
- 47:23Speaker 2: later bragged about it. Here is.
- 47:30Speaker 9: Fine then, connector lemon, no pullly them, connector I can't
- 47:41Speaker 9: cool lookually for the lot of highly pulled them, count
- 47:44Speaker 9: the other sugar for.
- 47:46Speaker 2: The lot and nuss. But I remember I finished sugbackler
- 47:53Speaker 2: and I shall sort of about this is the truth
- 48:00Speaker 2: I was dealing with, Michael, your response to John Lyones
- 48:04Speaker 2: quoting that absolutely dodgy stat.
- 48:07Speaker 13: He knows it's propaganda. He's meant to be the impartial
- 48:11Speaker 13: global affairs editor.
- 48:12Speaker 2: Of the ABC.
- 48:14Speaker 13: It's unbelievable that a person, knowing that that's been rebuked
- 48:19Speaker 13: many times, knowing that it was a letter to the editor,
- 48:22Speaker 13: would cite that propaganda on ABC Radio National this morning.
- 48:26Speaker 13: And you're right to focus on it, Andrew. They want
- 48:28Speaker 13: people to focus on the Palestinian issue in Gaza only
- 48:33Speaker 13: and not on the bigger picture of what Iran is
- 48:35Speaker 13: doing all around that region to set the whole world
- 48:39Speaker 13: of fire, and the israelis not putting up with it anymore.
- 48:42Speaker 13: And I hope the rest of the democratic world will
- 48:44Speaker 13: join them unlike Albo Macron and leave this fight back
- 48:49Speaker 13: against Iran. I think it's going to come in the
- 48:52Speaker 13: next few days, Andrew and as the Earl of Sussex
- 48:55Speaker 13: said when he met the King of France, it's coming
- 48:57Speaker 13: in thunder and an earthquake.
- 49:02Speaker 2: But Rabbi Osha Feldman, you've got the ABC right can
- 49:08Speaker 2: do the propaganda like that. I mean, and I've given
- 49:12Speaker 2: many other examples. You're besieged with that. You see the
- 49:15Speaker 2: streets filled with people haters, with that Hesbala flags and
- 49:19Speaker 2: all that. How did Jews in Australia feel now about
- 49:23Speaker 2: their own safety, particularly when you do you do walk
- 49:26Speaker 2: in the street, you know, as I say, visibly Jewish
- 49:29Speaker 2: with the kipper on. How do you feel?
- 49:32Speaker 5: You know, you know, I think we do have political
- 49:38Speaker 5: freedom of political expression in this country. You know, you
- 49:41Speaker 5: could be pro Israel, you could be anti Israel. It's
- 49:45Speaker 5: your choice. But if you're going to protest on October
- 49:54Speaker 5: the seventh against Israel, make no mistake, you know, humanitarian,
- 50:02Speaker 5: you know, warrior for peace. All you are are stomping
- 50:07Speaker 5: on the graves of the Jews who are massacred, raped
- 50:11Speaker 5: and massacred. On October the seventh and I am. I'm
- 50:16Speaker 5: sure all decent people are sickened.
- 50:20Speaker 2: By it, so you should be. And I tell you
- 50:24Speaker 2: who we are going to talk to who knows all
- 50:27Speaker 2: about this now, Michael Dan Boscherfeldmer thank you so much
- 50:30Speaker 2: of your time's Sharry markson Live from Israel, Cherry can't
- 50:34Speaker 2: wait to hear your show. Take it Away,
