The Departure of Christ and the Arrival of the Comforter — John 16:5-33
In John 16, Jesus told the disciples about His departure. Not just the 3 days He’d be gone after His crucifixion, but His departure in ascending back to Heaven after the resurrection. And even though His leaving them would be heartbreaking, it would actually be expedient—because Jesus would send the Holy Spirit.
