- 0:50OK I'm really excited because we are embarking on a full mini
- 0:55scroll takeover by bumble for the next month.
- 0:58You guys know how much these longer form partnerships mean to
- 1:01me because it means that I can keep the business going and I
- 1:04can get some sleep and I don't have to stress all the time
- 1:07about keeping the lights on and growing and how the is going to
- 1:10get paid and all that kind of stuff.
- 1:12So I'm so grateful that we are going to have every single ad
- 1:16read for the next month taken because we have Britta, we have
- 1:19Bumble, we have Blackbird, like things are happening and it just
- 1:23makes me feel so good. We are ending this year in a
- 1:25good place. So I'm really excited for this.
- 1:28All right, before we get into it, Please remember to rate,
- 1:30review and subscribe. Please Spotify star rate US.
- 1:33We're trying to get to 1000 Spotify star ratings by the end
- 1:36of the year and we are getting there.
- 1:38You guys are pulling through. Oh, we did have a comment asking
- 1:41about buying us a coffee. How you do that?
- 1:43There's always just a link in the description.
- 1:45So if you just go to the description, you can click on
- 1:47the link and it will take you to our Buy me a coffee page.
- 1:50All right, let's get into the stories for today.
- 1:53So the first rate that I have for you guys of course is that
- 1:57Selena Gomez and Benny Blanc are married.
- 2:00Selena Gomez and Betty Blanco got married over the weekend.
- 2:03Their wedding took place on a private estate around the Santa
- 2:06Barbara, CA area. Both bride and groom wore Ralph
- 2:09Lauren. Selena wore a custom silk halter
- 2:13neck gown and there were a lot of like floral details on her
- 2:16gown and on her veil. And then she seemingly changed
- 2:19into a second dress, which apparently was also Ralph
- 2:22Lauren, which looked pretty similar to her wedding dress,
- 2:24but instead of silk, it was like more Lacy and see through and
- 2:28like, sexy, you know, probably for reception.
- 2:30There were reportedly 170 guests at the wedding, including Taylor
- 2:33Swift, Steve Martin, Martin Short, Paul Rudd, Paris Hilton,
- 2:38Ed Sheeran, Ashley Park, Like a * studded.
- 2:42And on his Instagram, Benny Blanco said he married a quote.
- 2:45Real life Disney Princess. So cute.
- 2:49So the two have been together for as far as we know, around 2
- 2:52years. They confirm their relationship
- 2:54in December 2023 and then they got engaged about a year later
- 2:58in December 2024. We don't really know many other
- 3:01details yet, but I'm so excited to see all the official photos
- 3:05if they share anymore. They have shared a couple on
- 3:07their Instagram. But I'm really happy for her.
- 3:09I feel like Selena really needed this moment and and I mean of
- 3:13course there were people commenting apparently like all
- 3:15over Justin Biebers Instagram on the weekend being like you lost
- 3:19her. You officially lost her.
- 3:20Guys. Justin has been married to
- 3:23Hailey Bieber for literally years.
- 3:24They have a child together. Like, we need to let it go.
- 3:27Hopefully, this actually, like, ends the Jelena stand.
- 3:31And like, hopefully they can kind of just like, let this go
- 3:34now because it's been so long. They've been broken up for so
- 3:37long. And both of them now are married
- 3:39to completely other people. OK, The next story that I have
- 3:42for you guys, this is some more relationship news.
- 3:44Brooks Schofield had her engagement party this weekend.
- 3:47It seemed to be at like, an LA restaurant.
- 3:49And fans noticed that her bestie and collaborator Tana Mojo was
- 3:55noticeably absent from the event.
- 3:57So Brooke is engaged to Napo baby Miles Canton.
- 4:00Miles McFly, I think is his like, stage name or his, I
- 4:04don't, I don't know, can you call this stage name if he
- 4:07doesn't actually do like, acting or singing or anything?
- 4:10I don't know. That's like his public name is
- 4:12like Miles McFly, but his real name is Miles Canton.
- 4:14The two got engaged in late June after around a year of dating.
- 4:18And I mean, I don't need to go into detail about why their
- 4:21relationship is controversial because I've covered it many
- 4:24times in the past on this podcast.
- 4:25But in short, fans are not super supportive of their relationship
- 4:29because there are allegations across the Internet that Miles
- 4:32was in a relationship with a minor when he was in his like
- 4:35late mid to late 20s. Brooke has addressed these
- 4:39allegations. She's called them basically just
- 4:41like Reddit rumors and she denies them.
- 4:43So the two had their engagement party on the weekend.
- 4:46And like I said, fans noticed that Tana wasn't there.
- 4:48Instead, it seemed like Tana was in Hawaii with her friend
- 4:51Ashley. And you know, she's in Hawaii
- 4:54because she just bought a house there.
- 4:55Her boyfriend Makoa is from Hawaii, so she's been spending a
- 4:58lot of time there. And Tana actually addressed why
- 5:00she wasn't there. So it is confirmed she wasn't
- 5:03there and she addressed why she wasn't in a comment on a video
- 5:07by spillfesh. She wrote construction on my
- 5:10place got moved, brackets out of my control.
- 5:12I quite literally begged and pleaded and sobbed.
- 5:14I knew the Internet was going to do this all week and I refused
- 5:17to engage with that. No pun intended.
- 5:19I'm very happy for her and will be making it up.
- 5:22Brooke also commented on TikTok basically implying she was like
- 5:25OK with the reason why Tanna wasn't there.
- 5:27There was no hard feelings. I mean, to be fair, people
- 5:30online are like construction on your home.
- 5:33You couldn't have, I don't know, Ashley couldn't have just like
- 5:35stayed there to oversee the construction.
- 5:37There was no one else that could have helped you in this
- 5:39situation. You could have just like flown
- 5:40in and out, like back for the engagement party.
- 5:42This is a big deal. I don't know.
- 5:44I guess at the end of the day, like an engagement party, it's
- 5:46not like she missed her wedding. People didn't really love that
- 5:48excuse. But at the end of the day, I
- 5:49guess like if Brooke is OK with it, then Brooke's OK with it.
- 5:52However, fans also noted that Brooke's other bestie, BB, was
- 5:57not in attendance and Brooke has not addressed why BB wasn't
- 6:00there there. So I did cover Brooke and BB's
- 6:04possible falling out a couple of months ago on the pod.
- 6:07But Brooke hired BB as an assistant on the cancelled
- 6:10podcast tour for the European leg, I think it was.
- 6:13And Brooke talked on the podcast after the European Tour about
- 6:17how that was like really bad for their friendship because they
- 6:20got in some fights and stuff like that.
- 6:22So she was kind of like airing their dirty laundry out on the
- 6:24pod and it seemed to trigger a bit of a falling out between the
- 6:27two of them. At least that's how it appeared
- 6:29to fans. But Speaking of canceled, today,
- 6:33right now is actually the final episode of the podcast ever.
- 6:38So they've been pretty tight lipped on when the official
- 6:40final episode would be and then spill sash again.
- 6:44Christy, she posted about like, when is the end of canceled
- 6:47yesterday. And then Brooke actually
- 6:49commented being like, it's tomorrow.
- 6:51And then, yeah, right now, they've been posting over the
- 6:53past hour, like announcing that it's the final episode and
- 6:57they're wearing, like, full on funeral clothes for the final
- 7:01episode. And yeah, fans are going to be
- 7:03really upset. I know that, like, people think
- 7:05their final, I don't know. I guess these last like, 678
- 7:08episodes since they've announced they're officially ending have
- 7:11kind of been low effort, I suppose, in the scheme of
- 7:14things, and it's really turned people off.
- 7:17But I do think tons of people will TuneIn for this episode.
- 7:20And people will be very sad. Like, this was a very, very
- 7:23popular podcast. OK.
- 7:25And the last story that I have for you guys, I need to talk
- 7:28about how Michaela Naguera's luxury luxury hall is going
- 7:31viral all over the Internet for the wrong reasons.
- 7:35So beauty tik toker Michaela Naguera is under fire after
- 7:38posting a luxury shopping hall. So let's do my biggest luxury
- 7:42unboxing literally ever. Let's start with Prada.
- 7:45She posted 2 videos of her unboxing purses.
- 7:47Clothing, shoes from brands like Prada, Louis Vuitton, Mew Mew
- 7:52and users online have totaled all of this up.
- 7:56It was apparently over $200,000 U.S. dollars after tax.
- 8:02OK so we are no strangers to luxury halls from influencers,
- 8:05right? Like this type of content used
- 8:07to be such a staple from like 2014 to like 20-18 maybe 2019.
- 8:14But people are like in the year of 2025, everything that we've
- 8:19been through and the US specifically has been through
- 8:22over these past like 5 or almost six years, like read the room
- 8:25Diva is how people feel about this.
- 8:28Now I will say we look at people like Morgan Stewart or like
- 8:32Wisdom K or even Becca Bloom who do these like luxury halls and
- 8:37shopping content with designer items and they don't face that
- 8:41same level of backlash. Obviously seeing somebody drop,
- 8:45like I said, over $200,000 at once is a very different vibe
- 8:50than seeing people be like, Oh yeah, I bought this like one
- 8:52shirt at Chanel or whatever. But regardless, I am sure that I
- 8:56have watched a Morgan Stuart Hall that was over $200,000
- 8:58before. I think the difference here is
- 9:02that luxury fashion, luxury accessories, even kind of like
- 9:07wealth influencers like Becca Bloom, I wouldn't necessarily
- 9:10call her like a fashion creator, but she's like a luxury creator.
- 9:13They've been able to kind of brand themselves as having a
- 9:16different level of appreciation for like fashion, art, the
- 9:22design, the craft, you know, of a luxury good, whether it's
- 9:26authentic or not, whether they actually love that or not.
- 9:29That's what they've been able to convey to us.
- 9:31And therefore we see, I guess, their love of these brands,
- 9:34their love of luxury and the content that goes along with it
- 9:38as more serious than Michaela's because it's from the
- 9:42perspective of like appreciating art and fashion and textiles and
- 9:46design and craftsmanship. It's almost like they're able to
- 9:48position their consumption of luxury items as like
- 9:51collectibles, like the same as a collecting art or something like
- 9:55that. Whereas, you know, I think with
- 9:57Michaela, it just feels like she's obsessed with like
- 10:00overconsumption and labels. And I don't know if that's
- 10:03necessarily a fair judgement because I mean, we've been
- 10:05having the conversation that like buying designer in 2025 can
- 10:09very well mean that you are not getting high quality items and
- 10:12therefore why else are you buying it if not for the label?
- 10:15So I'm not necessarily saying that's like a fair assessment or
- 10:18a fair judgement, but I'm just trying to figure out what the
- 10:20difference is between Michaela buying all this stuff and
- 10:24showing it to us and the backlash she's getting versus
- 10:27other luxury creators. Because we see those luxury
- 10:29creators all over the Internet and people are like, yes, Oh my
- 10:31God, I love this. And they really like appreciate
- 10:33the content that they make in different ways.
- 10:35I'm not saying that they never get backlash like they
- 10:37definitely do, but yes, I think it's seen or perceived or
- 10:41received a little bit differently.
- 10:43So there are a lot of like hot takes about this.
- 10:46I think my favorite one is from fashion influencer Madeline
- 10:49White. She posted a video saying we'll
- 10:51never see a luxury hall like Michaela's from her because so
- 10:55many designer brands, basically what we were saying, are selling
- 10:58poor quality items. Now this.
- 10:59Is the reason that you will never see a Michaela style mass
- 11:02luxury unboxing from me ever again.
- 11:05But it's because of shit like this.
- 11:06Honey, I wore this one day on my wedding.
- 11:08I spent 10, $1000 on his bag. Michaela to me is so fascinating
- 11:12because she is like so 2015 coded and I just feel like in
- 11:16the era of like TikTok and Gen. Zed becoming the most culturally
- 11:20relevant generation online. I actually can't believe
- 11:24Michaela got so famous and successful because she is so
- 11:28like dated. And I don't mean that in a
- 11:30negative way. I'm not trying to be shady.
- 11:32I just feel like I look at the beauty gurus of like the the OG
- 11:36YouTube beauty gurus and all of them have had to adapt their
- 11:40style of makeup, their style of content, you know, despite
- 11:43having huge followings as culture shifted, they had to,
- 11:47you know, adapt and evolve with culture to maintain relevancy.
- 11:52And it's so funny because Michaela came out the gate, you
- 11:55know, 2020 on TikTok whenever she started and was just so like
- 11:592015. And she's just been able to like
- 12:02fully build this like massively successful career off of that
- 12:06exact vibe that the beauty gurus who established that exact vibe
- 12:10have actually had to evolve out of of to maintain relevance.
- 12:14I find it so fascinating. And I don't think that
- 12:16Michaela's audience are Gen. Z like I do think that they are
- 12:19probably like elder millennials, maybe even Gen.
- 12:21X, but is so interesting to me. I don't know.
- 12:24Let me know what you guys think about that.
- 12:26Anyways, guys, that's it for mini scroll today.
- 12:28Thank you so much for listening. I love you guys.
- 12:30Please remember to read, review and subscribe.
- 12:33Please Spotify star rate US and I will talk to you tomorrow.
- 12:36Bye.
