- 0:38Music.
- 0:48She's a happy girl.
- 1:03God chose you. Yes, He chose you to be part of His family and to be on His team.
- 1:09He created you and then chose you.
- 1:12He realizes the awesomeness of His power and how overwhelming the wonder of Him can be.
- 1:17But He wishes for you to understand Him. and He has prepared a way for you to do so.
- 1:23Yes, He loves you and wants you to know Him.
- 1:27Join us in this program, The Alpha and Omega, as Kim Miller of Woman at the
- 1:32Well Ministries takes us through Isaiah 43.10, which says, Ye are my witnesses,
- 1:37saith the Lord, and my servant whom I have chosen, that ye may know and believe
- 1:43me and understand that I am He.
- 1:46Before me there was no God formed, neither shall there be after me.
- 1:51Hello and welcome to this broadcast of Woman at the Well Ministries.
- 1:55I love this verse in Isaiah.
- 1:58And I often think when I see those first opening words, ye are my witnesses.
- 2:05I reflect upon what kind of witness am I?
- 2:10And when I was a young girl in my youth group, I heard a message one time,
- 2:15and what they brought out in the whole crux of the message was this.
- 2:19If you had been accused of being a Christian and you were on trial for that,
- 2:26would there be enough evidence in your life from day to day that they can convict you?
- 2:33And even as a young child, I understood the importance of having data or having
- 2:42facts in my life or having evidence in my life to show that I was a Christian.
- 2:50I fully understood that when I gave my heart to Jesus and he became my savior
- 2:56and redeemed me from my sinful state that he had created a new creature in me.
- 3:02And so old things should be passed away and all things should become new because
- 3:05I no longer was living without God in me.
- 3:09But once I became a Christian and I gave my heart to him, the Holy Spirit indwelled
- 3:15me and I had to be different because now I was the temple of the Most High God and he was living in me.
- 3:23And as I look at this verse, I see the awesomeness of knowing that I am a witness
- 3:33to the saving power of Jesus Christ.
- 3:36I am a witness to the redeeming grace of the Most High God.
- 3:44I am a reflection of him.
- 3:47The question is, how well do I reflect?
- 3:53It's an interesting thing. Things that are shiny and pure and clean reflect
- 3:59light much better than things that are dull and dark.
- 4:05And sometimes we can polish up a piece of metal and watch it shine and reflect,
- 4:13much better than we did before it was and i believe as christians the bible
- 4:20says clearly that though our deeds and our works were as filthy rags he washed
- 4:25us white as snow and so i believe he comes into our life and he cleans up the
- 4:30dirt which will not reflect,
- 4:33and he places inside of us a clean and pure heart.
- 4:37And I believe as Christians, as we read his word and as we study his word and
- 4:42as we confess our sins and as we strive to walk after his commandments and in
- 4:47his will, we are able to begin to reflect him.
- 4:52And I believe when he says you are my witnesses, that's what he means.
- 4:56That to those around you, that's in your life, that's in your community,
- 5:00that's in your work, that's able to witness you day to day in your activities,
- 5:06you are the witness of what it means to have Christ living in you.
- 5:11Now that is something to truly dwell on.
- 5:18Because God is faithful. Are you?
- 5:22God is good are you representing that are you reflecting his goodness and his
- 5:29grace and his mercy can they see a difference in you compared to those who don't
- 5:34have the love of god in them,
- 5:36so when we look at this verse the first thing we need to really consider in our lives.
- 5:42Is what kind of witness are we and answer
- 5:45that question if someone followed you day to day is
- 5:48there enough evidence to say that you're a christian when you
- 5:52die are people going to wonder whether or not you're
- 5:55in heaven or hell or has your life lived a
- 5:59story that would assure your loved one that all is well between you and god
- 6:06and then he says my servant whom i have chosen Do you realize that he could
- 6:15have chosen to dwell in any being,
- 6:18any creation that he wanted, but he chose to dwell in the person that he has created in his image?
- 6:27He didn't create the rocks or the animals in his image.
- 6:30He created man and the human race in his image.
- 6:35And he breathed in us life and he put in us a soul.
- 6:38And his purpose has come that we might have life and have it more abundantly
- 6:44and he gave himself the supreme sacrifice that you and I might have life eternal in Jesus.
- 6:52And he has called us to service, not to work our way into heaven,
- 6:59not as some sort of payment for what he's given us.
- 7:04But as a representation of the love we have for the gratefulness and thankfulness
- 7:09of the blessings that he gives us daily.
- 7:13And for the knowledge of the peace that passeth understanding and the joy unspeakable
- 7:18and full of glory of knowing that the Most High God watches us,
- 7:22supplies our every need,
- 7:25leads us and guides us. He chose us.
- 7:29And all he asks is that we believe.
- 7:32And what I love, perhaps even more than all of that in this verse,
- 7:36is that he tells me his purpose.
- 7:41He wants me to know him he wants me to believe in him and he wants me to understand,
- 7:51who he is i love that
- 7:54god is not this mysterious being
- 7:57in a far-off land god reveals himself
- 8:00to his people all the time and
- 8:03every day and the word was made flesh and dwelt among us we can read the holy
- 8:08word of god and know who god is by knowing who jesus is by letting ourselves
- 8:14open our mind and our heart that he may commune with us and walk with us and talk with us.
- 8:21He allows us to understand who he is, that we might have a relationship with
- 8:27him that is real and is true.
- 8:30And all he asks is that we believe in him. But he's not asking for blind belief.
- 8:37From Genesis to Revelations, he's given us full accounts of his presence.
- 8:43He shows us himself every day in the way that his hand moves in and about our lives.
- 8:49And he wants you to understand who he
- 8:53is and the holy spirit he put inside
- 8:56of us to teach us and to guide us and as
- 8:58we begin to pray and commune with god
- 9:01and talk to the holy spirit asking him to reveal the
- 9:05interpretations of the scriptures that we might know.
- 9:08Who god is that we may understand his will for
- 9:11our life that we may understand the purpose of each
- 9:14and every moment of our life as we begin to do
- 9:17that he will answer us he says call unto me and
- 9:19i will answer thee and show the great and mighty things which thou knowest
- 9:22not in jeremiah 33 3 he bids us come in hebrews chapter 4 he tells us to ask
- 9:30and you shall receive seek and you shall find and knock and it shall be opened
- 9:35unto you in matthew 7 7 he does not withhold any good thing from them that love
- 9:40him He tells us this in scripture.
- 9:42He wants us to be completely comfortable in his presence. And he says,
- 9:48behold, I stand at the door and knock.
- 9:50And if you'll just open it up, I'll come and sup with you. He wants to commune
- 9:54with you moment by moment.
- 9:56Thus, he says to you to pray without ceasing.
- 9:59We have the resource within us to have a working knowledge of who God is and
- 10:06who he is in our life. to have an understanding of what he wants us to do.
- 10:12And all of us, we are told, are part of the body of Christ who are believers
- 10:17and part of the family of God.
- 10:19And he gives talents that are different to each of us so that when we put us
- 10:23all together on this earth, we can work in one accord in order to do the work
- 10:27of God so that the kingdom can be furthered and exalted.
- 10:31And he says, if he be lifted up, he'll draw all men unto him.
- 10:36This verse to me is so reassuring because he wants me to know not to doubt not
- 10:44to wonder i have a no so salvation in a god who gives me great hope.
- 10:49And all things are possible to him that believeth. And he says,
- 10:51without faith, it's impossible to please him.
- 10:54And we must believe that he is and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him.
- 11:00It is so important for us to spend time with Jesus that we could build that
- 11:06relationship so that we hear him when he whispers, so that we have an understanding of what he wants,
- 11:13so that we can have that peace that passes understanding and that joy unspeakable and full of glory.
- 11:19And then he concludes this verse with before me, there was no God formed,
- 11:23neither shall there be after me.
- 11:25He is he is God.
- 11:29He's not a little G.O.D. He is the one and only true and living God.
- 11:35He and he alone is in supreme authority.
- 11:40And you and I have the privilege of being chosen by him, that we may be his hands extended,
- 11:48his feet, that we may see through his eyes, that we may live a life that is
- 11:55abundant with peace and joy.
- 11:58As we safely walk in the will of God, surrounded by his protection,
- 12:05having our needs supplied by him.
- 12:09Being completely sheltered by the shadow of the Almighty because he loves us.
- 12:15And we have this privilege to call him father and the opportunity,
- 12:20and I will say the obligation out of love and gratitude to let our lives be a witness.
- 12:28Of the true being of who Christ is.
