- 0:00Speaker 1: Here gotta be sponsored by some kind of a cookie
- 0:03Speaker 1: company or something, or a game company. Maybe JD is here,
- 0:09Speaker 1: Jonathan Deezing. He is a cookie baker, yes, Sir, extraordinaire.
- 0:14Speaker 1: Uh huh, and also a podcaster the.
- 0:17Speaker 2: Three Bit Gamer show yep every Tuesday.
- 0:19Speaker 1: Every Tuesday that's available and it's uh and he comes
- 0:22Speaker 1: and shares a little interesting websites with.
- 0:25Speaker 3: Us and yeah, if you guys are bored at work, Oh,
- 0:28Speaker 3: I'm here to save you.
- 0:29Speaker 4: Yeah, you've got stuff here?
- 0:30Speaker 2: What do you got?
- 0:31Speaker 3: I got two games I'll go through pretty quick that
- 0:34Speaker 3: are coming out this month. The first one is out
- 0:36Speaker 3: as of yesterday. It's called Forever Skies now Forever Scout Guys.
- 0:40Speaker 3: I played when this came out on early alpha about
- 0:43Speaker 3: a year ago, and it was fantastic. And since then
- 0:46Speaker 3: they've been spending you know, year a year plus building
- 0:49Speaker 3: it and improving it. Essentially, the whole world, the surface world,
- 0:52Speaker 3: is poisoned. There's a big cloud of poisoned fog, and
- 0:55Speaker 3: you are living above the cloud. There are skyscrapers you
- 0:59Speaker 3: can see that are poking above the clouds, and those
- 1:01Speaker 3: are where you like dock essentially, because you are exploring
- 1:04Speaker 3: this world in an airship. Basically, you build your own
- 1:07Speaker 3: zeppelin and you're improving it constantly, so you want to
- 1:10Speaker 3: expand it, you want to build it. Well, then you've
- 1:12Speaker 3: got to dock on one of these skyscrapers, take the
- 1:15Speaker 3: elevator down to this poisoned surface and hold your breath
- 1:19Speaker 3: because you got you only got like a limited amount
- 1:21Speaker 3: of air, and you've got to run in there and
- 1:23Speaker 3: try to try.
- 1:24Speaker 2: To loot some giant bugs.
- 1:25Speaker 3: And oh, there's all sorts of stuff in the fog.
- 1:27Speaker 3: You don't know what's down there, but you're basically just
- 1:30Speaker 3: going down and on the surface claiming all the stuff.
- 1:33Speaker 1: I like the way it looks because it's not it's
- 1:35Speaker 1: not realistic. Yeah, it's kind.
- 1:37Speaker 3: Of it's like a like a like a Netflix animated
- 1:40Speaker 3: series kind of a five.
- 1:42Speaker 5: The space suits that they wear look almost like old
- 1:45Speaker 5: diving suits, yes, which is super appropriate. Metal helmets like
- 1:49Speaker 5: you know, twenty thousand leagues under the sea kind of things.
- 1:51Speaker 4: Cool.
- 1:52Speaker 3: If you guys played like a game like Subnatica, it's
- 1:55Speaker 3: got it's got vibes of that. But you have this
- 1:58Speaker 3: this base and you're flying your your your ship around
- 2:00Speaker 3: and the storms in the air and you're getting hit
- 2:03Speaker 3: with lightning. Oh, it is fantastic. Forever Skies. Yes, it's
- 2:08Speaker 3: an open, randomly generated world, so you can just go
- 2:11Speaker 3: in one direction and just just see stuff. It's out
- 2:14Speaker 3: now on PlayStation five and PC. That's Forever Skies. It's fantastic.
- 2:19Speaker 3: Another one, bigger name. This actually came out earlier last year,
- 2:22Speaker 3: I think in December on the Xbox, but now it
- 2:24Speaker 3: is out this Thursday on the PlayStation five. This is
- 2:27Speaker 3: Indiana Jones and the Great Circle. Like I said, it's
- 2:30Speaker 3: already been out. It's received a great acclaim. People love
- 2:33Speaker 3: this one, and it is. It is like considered Cannon
- 2:36Speaker 3: within Indiana Jones like whatever. It's set between Raiders and
- 2:40Speaker 3: Lost Arc. It is a first person game, so you're
- 2:43Speaker 3: seeing through the eyes of Indiana Jones. You are shooting,
- 2:46Speaker 3: you're stealthing around basically anything he does. You're using your
- 2:49Speaker 3: whip to to swing across gaps and solve puzzles and
- 2:52Speaker 3: stuff like that.
- 2:53Speaker 2: It's just a.
- 2:54Speaker 3: Very pure Indiana Jones game. You're fighting Nazis who are
- 2:57Speaker 3: preventing them from stealing powerful arts.
- 3:00Speaker 2: You know what's new.
- 3:01Speaker 5: These sight and the voice actor they hired to play
- 3:03Speaker 5: Indiana Jones sounds so much like Harrison Ford.
- 3:06Speaker 2: It's right. Yeah, I think they did a great job.
- 3:08Speaker 1: But the the the rendering of Harrison Ford in the
- 3:11Speaker 1: video doesn't quite.
- 3:13Speaker 2: Look like him. Yeah.
- 3:14Speaker 3: Well, luckily you don't see him too much because it's
- 3:16Speaker 3: your first person. It's just kind of bland looking. But yeah,
- 3:20Speaker 3: it's a little generic. Yeah, but uh yeah, this one,
- 3:22Speaker 3: this one's fantastic. If you need an Indiana Jones game
- 3:25Speaker 3: that scratches that itch, it's gonna feel like a movie
- 3:27Speaker 3: without aliens.
- 3:28Speaker 2: So that's a bonus.
- 3:29Speaker 3: Okay, all right, I got I got a couple quick
- 3:32Speaker 3: things here for your boredom at work. The first one,
- 3:35Speaker 3: this is so silly. It's called curved text dot io.
- 3:38Speaker 3: That's curved text dot io. You type something in the
- 3:43Speaker 3: text box in the field, and then you draw on
- 3:46Speaker 3: the associated uh drawing pad next to it, and you
- 3:51Speaker 3: are drawing. The line you're drawing with is those is
- 3:53Speaker 3: that word or phrase or whatever you you would like. Essentially,
- 3:58Speaker 3: you know when you were like in junior and you
- 4:00Speaker 3: were just writing over and over in your notebook like
- 4:02Speaker 3: the same thing and little spirals. It's like that, And
- 4:05Speaker 3: then you can of course export your your word art.
- 4:09Speaker 3: You can change makes all sorts of changes. You can
- 4:11Speaker 3: also upload an image and then draw curved words on it,
- 4:14Speaker 3: which I think is kind of a more appealing thing
- 4:16Speaker 3: for like a social media post or something. It's really fun,
- 4:19Speaker 3: though it's it's more distracting than you might see. Definitely
- 4:22Speaker 3: a time Yeah, curved text dot io it's really dumb, okay.
- 4:26Speaker 3: And then another one that I think is really interesting,
- 4:29Speaker 3: especially say you work from you work remote with teams
- 4:32Speaker 3: across the world, across the country people. Yeah, I used
- 4:36Speaker 3: to work when I was in tech. I'd had teams
- 4:37Speaker 3: in India and teams in the UK, and it was
- 4:40Speaker 3: always hard to figure out when we could all work together.
- 4:42Speaker 3: So I would build out basically like a version of
- 4:45Speaker 3: this in Excel. But they've done the work for you.
- 4:47Speaker 3: It's time dot f yi. That's time dot f yi.
- 4:51Speaker 3: You add multiple time zones, whichever time zones you want,
- 4:54Speaker 3: and then it's just a matter of clicking and dragging
- 4:57Speaker 3: the actual time and even any of the time zones
- 4:59Speaker 3: and all all the other ones will adjust to show
- 5:01Speaker 3: you what time it is. And you know, it's kind
- 5:04Speaker 3: of like the clocks you see in like an airport,
- 5:06Speaker 3: with all the different time zones, but if you moved
- 5:09Speaker 3: one clock, all the other.
- 5:10Speaker 2: Ones would move in unison.
- 5:12Speaker 1: So here it is eight ten am Greenwich, meantime April
- 5:18Speaker 1: fifteenth in Isbekistan, tash Kent, it's seven ten pm April
- 5:24Speaker 1: fifteenth in his Bekistan.
- 5:26Speaker 2: In his Bekistan, I'm always wondering what time it is.
- 5:29Speaker 4: You are eleven hours ahead of us.
- 5:32Speaker 2: Yeah, so that's time dot FYI.
- 5:34Speaker 3: Again, more of a helpful tool for people that work
- 5:36Speaker 3: or hey, if you've got like a kid on a
- 5:38Speaker 3: mission or something that's across this it's kind of helpful
- 5:41Speaker 3: to know what time it is. And then another way,
- 5:43Speaker 3: another way to visualize the passage of time.
- 5:46Speaker 2: Oh year progress. This one was kind of fun.
- 5:50Speaker 3: It's not gonna waste a ton of time, but it
- 5:52Speaker 3: gave me kind of a chuckle.
- 5:54Speaker 2: It's yeared whatever.
- 5:55Speaker 3: Just go to X ninety six dot com for the
- 5:57Speaker 3: link on this one. It'll tell you like, so where
- 6:00Speaker 3: are we in the year if the year was the Hobbit,
- 6:03Speaker 3: what is Bilbo doing? Or or you know, what part
- 6:08Speaker 3: of Abbey Road are we listening to?
- 6:10Speaker 4: I would listening to, oh Darling right now.
- 6:12Speaker 3: Right in this part of the area. It gives you
- 6:14Speaker 3: a percentage how far we are through the year. It
- 6:16Speaker 3: gives you, you know, all these weird random stats just
- 6:19Speaker 3: to help you visualize the passage of time through the
- 6:22Speaker 3: course of a year.
- 6:24Speaker 2: It's pretty fun. Again. It's called year Progress and you.
- 6:27Speaker 3: Will have to go to x ninety six dot com
- 6:29Speaker 3: to grab the link on that one because it's not
- 6:31Speaker 3: gonna read it. And then the last one. Now, this
- 6:34Speaker 3: is your time waster, folks. If you have nothing going
- 6:38Speaker 3: on at work today, you have this going on. It
- 6:40Speaker 3: is called Slither dot Io. Slither dot Io. It's Snake World.
- 6:47Speaker 3: It's basically a snake mmo. It is if you remember
- 6:51Speaker 3: the old game on your phone, Snake, where you would
- 6:55Speaker 3: move the little snake around and you'd eat pellets and
- 6:57Speaker 3: you'd get longer, and then you just had to not
- 6:59Speaker 3: run into a wall or run into yourself or a snake.
- 7:03Speaker 3: This is exactly like that, but there's a billion other
- 7:06Speaker 3: people that are playing it at the same time, and
- 7:07Speaker 3: they're all snakes, so you're all working together to not
- 7:11Speaker 3: hit each other and to eat as many things as possible.
- 7:14Speaker 3: And you'll see if you play it, some people are
- 7:17Speaker 3: enormous snakes.
- 7:18Speaker 2: It's so big, it's not fair. It's story.
- 7:21Speaker 4: I haven't seen other snakes, so I'm just eating peal.
- 7:24Speaker 3: Yeah, you just you just scoop around eating pellets, and
- 7:26Speaker 3: you'll run into them because it's moving around. It's actually
- 7:29Speaker 3: better if you don't see them because you won't run
- 7:31Speaker 3: into them.
- 7:31Speaker 2: So it's kind of nice. But yes, snake.
- 7:34Speaker 3: If you guys remember playing this on your phone, this
- 7:37Speaker 3: one is an update. It's pretty, it's fun, it's quirky.
- 7:40Speaker 3: And the idea that you're just playing with random people
- 7:42Speaker 3: all over the world yea, is kind of it's kind
- 7:45Speaker 3: of entertaining. Slither dot io. This is your time waster
- 7:50Speaker 3: of the week right there.
- 7:52Speaker 4: Yeah, this is kind of fun. Yeah, that's that's gonna what.
- 7:55Speaker 3: Is that a little bit? There's a likes a light that.
- 7:58Speaker 3: Oh I think it's a super I think that one.
- 8:01Speaker 3: I wasn't able to catch one. I played it for
- 8:03Speaker 3: like twenty minutes last night. I couldn't get one of them.
- 8:05Speaker 3: Now I'm getting big. Yeah, my snake's growing. Man, Just
- 8:10Speaker 3: don't run into yourself. That's the key.
- 8:12Speaker 4: Oh, whatever you do, I got a snake. Yep.
- 8:17Speaker 2: I love leaving you guys so distracted. I know this
- 8:20Speaker 2: is like I know I've done my job right.
- 8:22Speaker 4: Between the Chicken game, are you still here?
- 8:25Speaker 2: I'm sorry?
- 8:27Speaker 5: And now the Snake game, you got me?
- 8:29Speaker 2: I am here to waste your time.
- 8:30Speaker 4: I'm not paying attention to my job. Now. That's what
- 8:33Speaker 4: these do, the time wasters at work.
- 8:35Speaker 2: There you go, so yeah, go to.
- 8:36Speaker 4: X ninety six dot com.
- 8:37Speaker 5: You can click on the links to find all of
- 8:39Speaker 5: these trailers and games and all that stuff.
- 8:43Speaker 2: And waste it sometime, waste some kind of fun.
- 8:46Speaker 5: You know, your your your sense of impending doom can
- 8:50Speaker 5: be alleviated.
- 8:51Speaker 2: Yeah, just for a minute, for a minute, I got you.
- 8:53Speaker 4: Jonathan Dee's and jd thank you.
- 8:55Speaker 1: The three Big Gamer Show hosted with a couple of
- 8:58Speaker 1: other numb skulls.

- 9:01Speaker 3: couple of months. Everyone's doing their top ten, all our
- 9:04Speaker 3: different hosts, so it'll be fun.

- 9:08Speaker 4: One of those pellets is an invincibility pellet.
- 9:10Speaker 2: Oh is that? Well? Yeah, there you go.
