  Speaker 1: just sitting here thinking about comparing a storm to fire,

  Speaker 1: and I was just thinking that sometimes, you know how

  Speaker 1: we think about those storms. We're sometimes going we're going
• 23:15
  Speaker 1: into a storm, we're in the midst of a storm,
• 23:17
  Speaker 1: or sometime we're coming out of a storm. I'm thinking
• 23:20
  Speaker 1: about fire right now, because when God dropped that word
• 23:22
  Speaker 1: fire in my spirit, he said, the F stand for focus,
• 23:26
  Speaker 1: the I stands for inspired or inspirational, the R stands
• 23:31
  Speaker 1: for resilient, in the east stands for empowerment. So sometimes
• 23:34
  Speaker 1: we're going into the fire, and sometime we're in the
• 23:37
  Speaker 1: midst of the fire, and sometimes we're coming out of
• 23:40
  Speaker 1: that fire. What is that fire? Are you focused? Are
• 23:44
  Speaker 1: you inspiring somebody? Are you standing on resilience, and are
• 23:49
  Speaker 1: you empowering yourself in your community to not let that
• 23:56
  Speaker 1: flame go out? Are you being fearless, limitless, authentic, motivated
• 24:03
  Speaker 1: and encouraged on this journey we call life. Well, tonight
• 24:09
  Speaker 1: we're gonna dive in with my amazing guests because personally,
• 24:15
  Speaker 1: I think they are walking in purpose and they have
• 24:21
  Speaker 1: tapped into that fire that burns inside of them. So
• 24:26
  Speaker 1: tonight I want to ask three questions. The first question
• 24:31
  Speaker 1: and I want to start with doctor Kimberly, I want
• 24:35
  Speaker 1: you to think of a time when remaining focused and
• 24:38
  Speaker 1: fearless led you through a challenging situation.
• 24:49
  Speaker 4: Did you hear.
• 24:51
  Speaker 3: Remaining fo through a situation?
• 24:56
  Speaker 10: The time that comes to my mind was that in
• 25:00
  Speaker 10: two thousand and four, during the time of my daughter
• 25:05
  Speaker 10: entering this world, living for six hours in the party,
• 25:10
  Speaker 10: I had a mandate to stay focused.
• 25:14
  Speaker 3: I had lines that were depending on me.
• 25:18
  Speaker 10: I remember as we were planning for her funeral, I
• 25:23
  Speaker 10: was taking a shower that morning, getting prepared to go
• 25:26
  Speaker 10: to the funeral home, and I began to weep and
• 25:30
  Speaker 10: ask the Lord why, because God had made me a promise.
• 25:34
  Speaker 10: And as I was weeping and praying and talking to
• 25:38
  Speaker 10: the Lord, the Spirit spoke so vivid to me as stated,
• 25:45
  Speaker 10: she had to die so that you could live, because
• 25:49
  Speaker 10: they would not have been able to handle it had
• 25:52
  Speaker 10: I died.
• 25:54
  Speaker 3: So at that point I knew I had.
• 25:57
  Speaker 10: To stay focused and one thing that I want us
• 26:01
  Speaker 10: to think about and to remember, because God brought all
• 26:04
  Speaker 10: of this back to my remembrance when I began to
• 26:07
  Speaker 10: talk to him about the question of why, and as
• 26:13
  Speaker 10: I was in the process of giving birth to my son,
• 26:19
  Speaker 10: who is at that time he was approaching his fifth birthday,
• 26:24
  Speaker 10: I remember praying and asking the Lord to allow me
• 26:27
  Speaker 10: to be here to see my son not only grow up,
• 26:31
  Speaker 10: but to see him get all in half children because
• 26:35
  Speaker 10: my mom passed the way when I was five years old,
• 26:38
  Speaker 10: and I did not want to leave my son here
• 26:42
  Speaker 10: and have him in the situation that I had to
• 26:45
  Speaker 10: face growing up as a young child without a mother.
• 26:49
  Speaker 10: And the Lord brought that prayer back to my remembrance
• 26:52
  Speaker 10: the morning that I asked him about my daughter Cayley,
• 26:56
  Speaker 10: and I thought about that, and so many times we'll
• 27:00
  Speaker 10: pray a prayer and will ask God for something and
• 27:04
  Speaker 10: we expect God to answer that prayer. We're standing in faith,
• 27:08
  Speaker 10: believing and trusting in him to answer.
• 27:11
  Speaker 3: Our prayer, but we don't know how that prayer is
• 27:14
  Speaker 3: going to be answered.
• 27:15
  Speaker 10: And so when he brought that back to my remembrance,
• 27:18
  Speaker 10: I had to come to terms with the prayer that
• 27:22
  Speaker 10: I had prayed because he did exactly what I asked
• 27:25
  Speaker 10: him to do. Because at that moment, my son was
• 27:28
  Speaker 10: approaching his fifth birthday and had I died, he would
• 27:32
  Speaker 10: have been in the same situation that I was in
• 27:36
  Speaker 10: as a young child. So that was a time in
• 27:39
  Speaker 10: my life that I really had to maintain my focus.
• 27:42
  Speaker 10: I had to remember that there were so many.
• 27:45
  Speaker 3: Lines that were depending on me, not only my son,
• 27:49
  Speaker 3: but my husband and all of those who I was
• 27:54
  Speaker 3: ministering to at that time as an example.
• 27:58
  Speaker 10: Of who God really was. So that was the time
• 28:01
  Speaker 10: that I remained focused. That was a time that it
• 28:05
  Speaker 10: took a lot for me to remain focused. And that
• 28:08
  Speaker 10: was also a time of my testing, trying and going
• 28:12
  Speaker 10: through a fiance.
• 28:14
  Speaker 1: Wow, I tell you you had to have some strategies
• 28:19
  Speaker 1: in place. Now, I really want to know how did
• 28:24
  Speaker 1: that experience shape you into your purpose?
• 28:28
  Speaker 3: Now?
• 28:32
  Speaker 10: At the time I was just walking beginning to walk
• 28:36
  Speaker 10: into ministry. I'll say it like this, and I know
• 28:40
  Speaker 10: that somebody will be able to grab hold of it.
• 28:43
  Speaker 10: I knew that there was a call on my life,
• 28:46
  Speaker 10: but I was bootlegends.
• 28:48
  Speaker 3: I was not in a place to where I had
• 28:51
  Speaker 3: accepted the call to preach the gospel. And at that moment,
• 28:57
  Speaker 3: when I was in the hospital after my.
• 28:59
  Speaker 10: Daughter died and just having a conversation with the nurse
• 29:03
  Speaker 10: that was assigned to her, just listening to the nurse
• 29:07
  Speaker 10: and hearing the nurse, she came in my room about
• 29:11
  Speaker 10: four o'clock in the morning after my daughter had passed away.
• 29:14
  Speaker 3: And she sat in the rocking chair.
• 29:16
  Speaker 10: She began to talk to me, and she began to
• 29:19
  Speaker 10: She stated that my faith had made her home because
• 29:25
  Speaker 10: of the simple fact that being a nick you nurse,
• 29:28
  Speaker 10: seeing so many babies come into this world and die,
• 29:32
  Speaker 10: she was beginning to have it that was beginning to
• 29:35
  Speaker 10: have an effect on her, and she was contemplating quitting
• 29:38
  Speaker 10: her job.
• 29:40
  Speaker 3: And just because everyone that walked in my room, no
• 29:44
  Speaker 3: matter the situation that I was in, I was still
• 29:47
  Speaker 3: ministering and encouraging them.
• 29:51
  Speaker 10: And that was a pivotal moment in my life. Because
• 29:55
  Speaker 10: our outreach ministry, Daughters and Sons of Destiny outreach ministry
• 29:59
  Speaker 10: was burst through the death of our daughter. It was
• 30:03
  Speaker 10: verse for and ordained by God for helping hrning individuals.
• 30:09
  Speaker 3: And so that was what really inspired me.
• 30:12
  Speaker 10: That was what pushed me, just to know that she died,
• 30:17
  Speaker 10: but even in her dying, she yet lives and she
• 30:20
  Speaker 10: touched so many lives in her six and a half
• 30:23
  Speaker 10: hours of being here on this or She never she
• 30:27
  Speaker 10: never spoke a word, she never cried, she never gave
• 30:30
  Speaker 10: a sermon, but her life lives on in it seeks
• 30:33
  Speaker 10: volumes even to this day.
