June 23 - Psalm 70 · A Chapter a Day Bible Reading

• 0:13
Hello, friends. It is Sean here and it is a
• 0:17
  Friday. Happy Friday to you.
• 0:21
I hope you are going so. Well, I hope that this week has
• 0:24
been a good one for you as if you with me are now past the
• 0:29
winter solstice. Today, would you believe it is
• 0:32
going to be just a few minutes longer than yesterday as we
• 0:35
climb our way back out of this wolf.
• 0:38
Wintry wintry patch back into a glorious warm.
• 0:42
And this Psalm is so appropriate because this is a psalm for the
• 0:47
choir director, a Psalm of David asking, God to remember him in
• 0:53
the midst of our winter. We thank God.
• 0:55
Remember us in the darkness. That's not quite that bad.
• 0:58
Is it not? Not at all?
• 1:00
All and this is a very brief Sam.
• 1:02
It is five whopping versus long so we will dwell in these for as
• 1:08
long as we're able, as we enjoy this poetry shouting out to God,
• 1:15
that God would remember him. And God would remember us.
• 1:20
So let's read together, friends, Sam, 70.
• 1:33
Please God rescue me, come quickly.
• 1:37
Lord, and help me May those who try to kill me be humiliated and
• 1:43
put to shame May those who take Delight in my trouble.
• 1:48
Be turned back and disgrace. Let them be horrified by their
• 1:53
shame for they said, aha, we've got him now.
• 1:58
But may all who search for you, be filled with joy and gladness
• 2:04
in. You may those who love your
• 2:06
salvation repeatedly. Shout God is great.
• 2:12
But as for me, I am poor and needy.
• 2:16
Please hurry to my Aid. Oh Lord, you are my helper and
• 2:21
my savior oh Lord, do not delay. Lord fill us with joy and
• 2:39
gladness in you so much that we just want to throw our heads
• 2:44
back and say God is great. You are great and we are so
• 2:50
grateful for you. You are great.
• 2:54
We love you. And we worship you, and we thank
• 2:59
you for this Sam. Let this be the refrain of our
• 3:02
heart today as we live in your presence.
• 3:07
However, saving God, who never never forgets us.
• 3:13
We pray this in your name, Jesus.
• 3:15
  Amen.
