- 0:03Speaker 1: I don't even know if we can go down that road.
- 0:06Speaker 1: I mean, the President just tweeted to everybody not to
- 0:09Speaker 1: be afraid of COVID anymore. I just don't know how
- 0:12Speaker 1: we go down that road and recover and do a
- 0:15Speaker 1: comedy show. It's just so upsetting. I just I lost
- 0:20Speaker 1: my dog, everybody. That was something that happened Friday. I
- 0:25Speaker 1: had this amazing dog for seventeen years. We called him.
- 0:29Speaker 1: We called him Roscoe P. Coltrane. And I was walking
- 0:35Speaker 1: down the street seventeen years ago on Melrose Boulevard and
- 0:40Speaker 1: a guy was selling a litter of puppies out of
- 0:43Speaker 1: a cardboard box, and I was on my mind. I
- 0:48Speaker 1: was thinking about getting a puppy, and I reached down
- 0:50Speaker 1: to the box and I picked this little guy up
- 0:52Speaker 1: and he fit in the palm of my hand and
- 0:54Speaker 1: I looked at him and I just said hello, Roscoe.
- 0:58Speaker 1: And I knew that I was never, ever, ever, ever
- 1:00Speaker 1: gonna put that dog back in that box. And he
- 1:04Speaker 1: was an amazing dog. He was. He was you know,
- 1:06Speaker 1: I know it's it's a hackneyed expression, but he was
- 1:09Speaker 1: quite literally my best friend. And he got real old.
- 1:15Speaker 1: I mean, he was just hanging in there and he
- 1:18Speaker 1: was having seizures and he was he had cataracts and
- 1:21Speaker 1: he was having a rough time of it. So we
- 1:24Speaker 1: took him in the vet, not knowing that it was
- 1:26Speaker 1: the day. And the vets these days are really awkward
- 1:30Speaker 1: because you you hand the animal off and with a
- 1:33Speaker 1: mask on and everything, and then the doctor, the nurses
- 1:35Speaker 1: and such they go inside and then you wait and
- 1:37Speaker 1: the doctor vet calls you on your phone and he
- 1:41Speaker 1: said to me, I just don't know. I just need
- 1:46Speaker 1: to know what your plan is here, because we have
- 1:48Speaker 1: to think about what's the most fair thing for the animal.
- 1:52Speaker 1: And I knew what he meant, and he didn't have
- 1:58Speaker 1: much quality of life left. So I've never done this before,
- 2:01Speaker 1: but I'm sure some of you listeners have, but we
- 2:03Speaker 1: we did the thing where you go and you go
- 2:05Speaker 1: inside and you say goodbye and then they inject him
- 2:11Speaker 1: with the meds that slowly put him to sleep. It
- 2:15Speaker 1: was really really hard. I mean, I mean I sobbed
- 2:18Speaker 1: harder than I have it certain human funerals. That was hard. Um.
- 2:27Speaker 1: I mean, I'm sure a lot of people listening can
- 2:30Speaker 1: can relate if you've been through that experience saying goodbye
- 2:32Speaker 1: to your your your buddy. But that was that was
- 2:35Speaker 1: that was a rough that was a rough day. I'm sorry, man,
- 2:37Speaker 1: I'm so sorry that thank you. It also related to Scrubs.
- 2:40Speaker 1: He spent almost every day on the scrub set running around. Yeah,
- 2:45Speaker 1: we had a lot. We were allowed to bring our
- 2:46Speaker 1: dogs because it was just an abandoned hospital. So the
- 2:49Speaker 1: particularly the third floor, the dogs must you've heard us
- 2:52Speaker 1: talk about this much to Johnny. Johnny sees chagrin. The
- 2:56Speaker 1: dogs would just run around the whole third floor and
- 3:00Speaker 1: what what was the name of a dog that mister
- 3:03Speaker 1: Darcy Roscoe and mister Darcy had a relationship. Yeah, mister
- 3:06Speaker 1: Darcy was Hillary right, Yeah, she was the production manager thing.
- 3:11Speaker 1: And the dog would just sit on her desk, a
- 3:14Speaker 1: little little little Pomeranian type thing. Yeah, there were tons
- 3:17Speaker 1: of dogs. It was like a dog park. That was fun. Um. Well,
- 3:20Speaker 1: we have this new puppy named Billy, and she's bringing
- 3:23Speaker 1: lots of joy into our lives. And adopt a dog
- 3:28Speaker 1: if you, amen, if you if you can, because they
- 3:32Speaker 1: really bring a lot of joy to to your life. Amen.
- 3:37Speaker 1: So we are also we should say a little programming announcement.
- 3:40Speaker 1: We are going to do one a week for a
- 3:43Speaker 1: little bit. The good news is I have some things
- 3:45Speaker 1: happening with the screenplay that I've talked about on this show,
- 3:48Speaker 1: and I kind of got to dive in and do
- 3:51Speaker 1: a big draft and work on it. So we warned you,
- 3:54Speaker 1: We warned you when work started getting a little bit real,
- 3:56Speaker 1: we were gonna go to one a week. But I
- 3:58Speaker 1: think we're gonna come back. I just need like a
- 3:59Speaker 1: couple weeks or so to do to focus. I know
- 4:03Speaker 1: you might think this takes no effort, this podcast, but
- 4:06Speaker 1: it does take a little bit of our time, and
- 4:07Speaker 1: we do edit them, and we do schedule guests, and
- 4:10Speaker 1: we do seal with the merch and we do have
- 4:14Speaker 1: a fucking epic email chain, and uh so I just
- 4:17Speaker 1: need to lighten that that that load of tiny bit.
- 4:19Speaker 1: But we'll be back with with two a week after
- 4:21Speaker 1: I put my ass in the chair and do some writing.
- 4:25Speaker 1: That being said, so you guys are clear on this.
- 4:29Speaker 1: It's not Donald Faison to go. It could be mad
- 4:32Speaker 1: at me to one a week. It is Zach Brat
- 4:36Speaker 1: that wants to go anybody. He's the one that saying
- 4:42Speaker 1: this ship. I just don't want the consequences and the
- 4:45Speaker 1: repercussions to come my way. I'm sorry. I'm not a
- 4:48Speaker 1: part of a part of I'm not a part of this.
- 4:50Speaker 1: I'm I'm sorry to let anyone down. UM. I know
- 4:55Speaker 1: a lot of people count on this podcast. UM, and
- 4:58Speaker 1: we're loving it. This is not a permanent thing. I
- 5:00Speaker 1: just need to jam on a project a little bit.
- 5:03Speaker 1: I'm sure everyone listening knows what that's like, when you
- 5:06Speaker 1: gotta put the phone down and turn the internet off
- 5:09Speaker 1: and do the work. Put put the work in it.
- 5:13Speaker 1: We're as supposed to be. Did you spend today? Donald?
- 5:18Speaker 1: I thought you're gonna be my partner in this. You're not.
- 5:20Speaker 1: I'm gonna I'm gonna send Joel and Daniel a Peloton. Yes,
- 5:25Speaker 1: hold on, let's do it. Make sure it's Peloton sending it.
- 5:29Speaker 1: I would hate for you to be spending I might
- 5:31Speaker 1: just buy you one because I need I need some
- 5:34Speaker 1: partners in this endeavor. I'm trying to be every damn day.
- 5:38Speaker 1: I'm telling you, I mean I would too, Joel, we'll
- 5:41Speaker 1: do it together. We'll do together. Yes, I all you
- 5:46Speaker 1: gotta do is text me when you're jumping on and
- 5:48Speaker 1: I'll get in that same ride and we can compete. Baby,
- 5:51Speaker 1: Let's go I'm down. I'm always down, Joel, Happy birthday.
- 5:56Speaker 1: Oh my god, that's right, Oh my god, it was
- 6:00Speaker 1: right for um. My friends picked me up and we
- 6:08Speaker 1: went to there in my pod. I know you guys
- 6:10Speaker 1: have recently come and be like, this is your pod.
- 6:13Speaker 1: I have five friends I hang out with. So we
- 6:15Speaker 1: got into a car and the Haunted hay Rides is
- 6:18Speaker 1: our annual tradition we go every year, and this year
- 6:20Speaker 1: they made the Haunted hay Rides into a drive in,
- 6:23Speaker 1: which is really cool. Show like horror shorts on a
- 6:27Speaker 1: big screen, and then they have like people dressed in
- 6:30Speaker 1: concession stand clothes, but they're like mummified and they carry
- 6:33Speaker 1: like dead heads around and some of them have like
- 6:36Speaker 1: trash can lids, and so as you're watching the movie,
- 6:38Speaker 1: right before the scare combs, they'll like come up behind
- 6:40Speaker 1: your car and like crash their lids and you're like,
- 6:42Speaker 1: what the hell is outside of my car. It's very
- 6:45Speaker 1: campy and cute occasionally scary because those guys are good
- 6:48Speaker 1: at their job. You're like, I can see you, and
- 6:50Speaker 1: then they come up around the other side of the
- 6:51Speaker 1: car and you're like, damn it caught me again. They
- 6:56Speaker 1: do the Jurassic Park to you, clever a girl girl
- 7:03Speaker 1: that well, happy birthday, Joel. Our prison will be a
- 7:06Speaker 1: bit belated, but it's in the works. M it's coming,
- 7:12Speaker 1: It's coming. It's in the works. It's in the works. Um.
- 7:15Speaker 1: The other thing I wanted to say is that you
- 7:17Speaker 1: the people have asked and we have delivered. And on
- 7:20Speaker 1: the next episode of this podcast, we will have Rob
- 7:23Speaker 1: Mashio finally, high five Todd. You guys have asked for it,
- 7:30Speaker 1: and you guys are gonna get it. Hey, we should
- 7:34Speaker 1: talk about the voting thing, man, Yes we should. So
- 7:38Speaker 1: this will this will be airing. Um, when is this, Eric, Joel? Tomorrow? Tomorrow?
- 7:43Speaker 1: Oh good, good, good, good good, perfect, yes, perfect. Sorry,
- 7:48Speaker 1: it sucks for Dan, by the way, it sucks for Dan,
- 7:52Speaker 1: and Dan I'm sorry. Sometimes it's okay. Sometimes because of
- 7:55Speaker 1: something happens, like my dog dying, we have to we
- 7:57Speaker 1: have to push and then we make Dan put these
- 8:00Speaker 1: all together and edit them overnight. Dan, I'm sorry, it's okay,
- 8:03Speaker 1: but totally understand. The good news that this has happened
- 8:06Speaker 1: is that we can plug tomorrow. So Donald and I
- 8:11Speaker 1: promised you folks that if fifteen hundred of you registered
- 8:16Speaker 1: or checked your registration, which you can still do at
- 8:19Speaker 1: headcount dot org. Slash Zach and Donald. If fifteen hundred
- 8:24Speaker 1: of you did it, that we would get together and
- 8:27Speaker 1: we would make and show you how to make an
- 8:30Speaker 1: Apple team. Okay, well, guess what y'all eleven thousand, three
- 8:36Speaker 1: hundred and ninety five of you what thunderds? Applause? Dan
- 8:41Speaker 1: did you say? Eleven thousand? Eleven thousand, and by the way,
- 8:44Speaker 1: it's ticking up. By bye bye tomorrow when this airs,
- 8:47Speaker 1: it might be twelve. It's still ticking like crazy. So
- 8:52Speaker 1: thank you, thank you, thank you, thank you. What's crazy
- 9:00Speaker 1: is that you would think that there wouldn't be that
- 9:03Speaker 1: many people out there that aren't registered to vote, but
- 9:06Speaker 1: apparently registration Look, yo, dude, I always thought everybody, you know,
- 9:11Speaker 1: if you have an idea, you're registered to vote. You
- 9:14Speaker 1: got to go through a process and stuff. Yeah, in
- 9:16Speaker 1: other countries it's that way. Not here, exactly. Here, the
- 9:19Speaker 1: people that don't want you to vote make it hard
- 9:21Speaker 1: to vote. A lot of people like, why aren't you
- 9:23Speaker 1: automatically registered when you get a jobber's license? That should
- 9:26Speaker 1: That should just be obvious, and the other In other countries,
- 9:29Speaker 1: voting day is a holiday? Why is that not true here?
- 9:32Speaker 1: Why do we have random other holidays but not election Day? Yeah?
- 9:36Speaker 1: Why why is it on a Tuesday when everybody's back
- 9:40Speaker 1: your work? Right? Well? I think because the folks who
- 9:42Speaker 1: would prefer you not to vote do not want to
- 9:45Speaker 1: change things to make it easier for you to vote.
- 9:48Speaker 1: M M. But anyhow, those of you who did it,
- 9:52Speaker 1: thank you so much. And and I really we really
- 9:54Speaker 1: really appreciate it. And and also you know, it's still live.
- 9:58Speaker 1: So tell your friends to do it and get your
- 10:01Speaker 1: family to do it. You're gonna get an Apple Teamy
- 10:04Speaker 1: regardless of you're gonna get the prize anyway. So just
- 10:07Speaker 1: go out there. If you haven't, if you haven't registered
- 10:10Speaker 1: to vote, come register with us. Man. We're it's a
- 10:13Speaker 1: safe space. It's quick and easy. And my timeline was
- 10:17Speaker 1: filled with people like you know, Zach, I've been registered
- 10:19Speaker 1: for years. I never even thought the check. But because
- 10:21Speaker 1: I wanted to support you guys, I did it. I
- 10:23Speaker 1: forgot that because I changed my name or oh my god,
- 10:27Speaker 1: there were all these things that were like you know what, Zach,
- 10:29Speaker 1: I'm moved and I'm embarrassed to say I haven't voted
- 10:32Speaker 1: in fourteen years. But I'm gonna vote this time, and
- 10:34Speaker 1: I checked that I wasn't registered. And I'm just telling you,
- 10:37Speaker 1: if you're listening to this and you're going I'm registered,
- 10:40Speaker 1: just just go check because A you'll build our egos
- 10:43Speaker 1: with how many people we got to check at which
- 10:46Speaker 1: we appreciate and be Um, you just never know. You
- 10:49Speaker 1: just never know, especially especially in certain states where they're
- 10:53Speaker 1: actively kicking people off the rolls. Um, So that's exciting.
- 10:56Speaker 1: So put it in your little date book, your iCal
- 10:59Speaker 1: whatever you have. What's ikel called on on android? Cal Yeah, calendar,
- 11:06Speaker 1: you want to find your calendars on your phone, whatever
- 11:13Speaker 1: your weird calendar is. Write it down tomorrow at six
- 11:16Speaker 1: pml a time. Now, I had a lot of people
- 11:17Speaker 1: who listen in Europe already write me like that's the
- 11:20Speaker 1: middle of the night. Well, understandably, this was United States
- 11:24Speaker 1: Challenge and UM Donald and I UM would prefer to
- 11:28Speaker 1: wait till the end of the day to start drinking Martini's.
- 11:31Speaker 1: So and people in Europe, you didn't have to participate
- 11:35Speaker 1: in the challenge in the first place. So you're getting
- 11:38Speaker 1: a free apple tiny heart to sy of the guys
- 11:40Speaker 1: from Scrubs. So it's true. But uh, and we're gonna
- 11:45Speaker 1: leave it that haven't even said we're gonna do it live.
- 11:47Speaker 1: We'll do it live. We're gonna do it live, and
- 11:49Speaker 1: then we'll we'll leave it in the in our feed
- 11:52Speaker 1: or our story, whatever the kids do, and so you'll
- 11:55Speaker 1: be able to watch it. Um, hopefully everything goes smoothly.
- 11:59Speaker 1: I want you all to know we're gonna go live Donald,
- 12:02Speaker 1: so you need to need to be this non Daniel's
- 12:04Speaker 1: not gonna edit out anything we do embarrassing. Let me
- 12:08Speaker 1: ask you a question. These are questions that I need answered. Yes,
- 12:11Speaker 1: can I be stoned? Well, everyone expects that you'll be stoned. Yeah,
- 12:15Speaker 1: that's fine. I don't think you should smoke weed on
- 12:17Speaker 1: the live feed. You're not you're not like, you're not
- 12:21Speaker 1: you know we're not rappers before. Let me write that
- 12:24Speaker 1: down the live What other questions do you have? Cool? Um,
- 12:36Speaker 1: clothes are optional? Oh, I'm sure everyone would love it
- 12:39Speaker 1: if you were topless? Um, that would be great. So
- 12:43Speaker 1: I can go topless? Yeah, I think everyone love to
- 12:45Speaker 1: see those melted Herschey's kisses. Okay, topless and topless? Wow
- 12:53Speaker 1: is fine? Yeah, topless is fine. I will be wearing
- 12:56Speaker 1: my shirt. Oh yeah, Oh well, I have a voting
- 13:00Speaker 1: his sexy shirt that I'm gonna be wearing. Saved it.
- 13:03Speaker 1: I saved it for this so you guys can see it. Nice, Zach,
- 13:07Speaker 1: you know what's sexy? What voting? Yeah? And wait, you
- 13:11Speaker 1: see this shirt, you're all gonna want it hot. Enough
- 13:17Speaker 1: times about we made about a bunch of dots and
- 13:25Speaker 1: nurses stories so undead. I don't like to say this
- 13:44Speaker 1: very often, and you know I don't because sometimes y'all
- 13:46Speaker 1: might think I'm blowing these episodes up too much. So
- 13:49Speaker 1: what are you talking about? Every once in a while
- 13:51Speaker 1: I say something that is honest to the people because
- 13:54Speaker 1: I want these people who are listening to know that
- 13:57Speaker 1: I care about them and I never lie to you.
- 14:00Speaker 1: Not a great episode, Okay, I'm I'm I'm I'm glad
- 14:06Speaker 1: you said something about that. You know what I wrote.
- 14:09Speaker 1: Look at the last thing I wrote in my notes.
- 14:20Speaker 1: Do you disagree? No? I agree with you. Actually I
- 14:24Speaker 1: think this This episode has great story lines and story
- 14:29Speaker 1: arcs in it, but overall, I didn't you know what
- 14:33Speaker 1: I think I've missed. I missed a Looma, and I
- 14:35Speaker 1: miss Robert, and I miss Mascio. Neither one of them
- 14:38Speaker 1: are in this episode, and because of that, I don't
- 14:42Speaker 1: think I I didn't laugh. They those are the one
- 14:44Speaker 1: and no Sam Lloyd either, So no big laughs for me. Yeah,
- 14:49Speaker 1: I didn't really laugh that much. You know what I
- 14:52Speaker 1: laughed at was your hair in the flashbacks, because you
- 14:55Speaker 1: always you always have a high top fade and I
- 14:57Speaker 1: have a mullet, but this woman's extra high. Did you
- 15:00Speaker 1: realize that it looks like Yeah, it looked like the
- 15:05Speaker 1: wig grew. The wig grew like they put some type
- 15:10Speaker 1: of miracle grow and that ship they put it on.
- 15:12Speaker 1: The head Mannequins shot, there's a shot of you. There's
- 15:16Speaker 1: a single shot of you with that wig on, and
- 15:18Speaker 1: it's the it's the hardest, funniest laugh I have in
- 15:21Speaker 1: the whole episode, just because this is a psych gag
- 15:23Speaker 1: of you with it must be it must be eight
- 15:25Speaker 1: inch ten inch high top fade. It's amazing. It's a
- 15:28Speaker 1: pretty high top fade. I will say this though, I
- 15:30Speaker 1: will say this, uh one, holy shit. I mean we
- 15:36Speaker 1: should get into the recap first, but yeah, who the
- 15:38Speaker 1: fuck eats breakfast at Sea World like it's a normal thing.
- 15:41Speaker 1: That was Come on, buddy, that is amazing. Imagine. No,
- 15:46Speaker 1: that is a real I mean we're not plugging Sea World,
- 15:48Speaker 1: but that is a thing that used to be able
- 15:49Speaker 1: to do. There was you could go and at the
- 15:51Speaker 1: restaurant and then like whales would swim by. What Yeah, yeah, dude,
- 15:56Speaker 1: I swim by swim by crying looking for their baby things.
- 16:01Speaker 1: Splash your eggs too, dark SeaWorld, I don't care a
- 16:06Speaker 1: Fox SeaWorld support. It's gonna take a hit out on me,
- 16:09Speaker 1: but I don't care a Fox SeaWorld. I'm gonna have
- 16:12Speaker 1: people in wet suits climb over my fence and kill me.
- 16:19Speaker 1: That's something. I got a scarface dude, I know what's
- 16:22Speaker 1: gonna be like, I'm gonna be in my fucking house
- 16:25Speaker 1: with my I don't have a I don't have a
- 16:27Speaker 1: scarface gun, but I probably shouldn't tell the SeaWorld people
- 16:32Speaker 1: that I do have a scarface gun. All right, all right,
- 16:38Speaker 1: get into your recap? Are you ready? Yeah? Hold on?
- 16:42Speaker 1: I got a time? Is it? We're even worth timing anymore?
- 16:44Speaker 1: We know it's gonna do whatever you want. There's no
- 16:46Speaker 1: need to time this one. It's gonna be a quick
- 16:48Speaker 1: and short one. Okay, I'm glad to know you put
- 16:50Speaker 1: in the effort. Here we go and go. Doctor Cox
- 16:54Speaker 1: learns some things can't be fixed with privilege. JD's given
- 16:58Speaker 1: advice from an unlikely source, but JD's unwillingness to receive
- 17:02Speaker 1: said advice doesn't help him and hurts his interns. Pride
- 17:07Speaker 1: gets the best of us. Thank goodness. No one's immune
- 17:09Speaker 1: to humility, that twenty D. Thank god, no one is
- 17:16Speaker 1: immune to humility. Everybody can be humbled, is what you're saying. Yeah,
- 17:20Speaker 1: that's exactly what I'm saying. Not everyone, Donald, not everyone. Oh,
- 17:26Speaker 1: let's not go there, Let's not go there. Sorry. Sorry.
- 17:31Speaker 1: So Chris Maloney's in the episode, and he's a funny guy.
- 17:34Speaker 1: You know. I was watching this and going, God, I
- 17:37Speaker 1: bet Johnny See and Chris Maloney fucking hated each other
- 17:41Speaker 1: because they're just too similar and too alpha, and to
- 17:45Speaker 1: Chris is a lovely guy. Don't get me wrong, but
- 17:46Speaker 1: I was just thinking of the two alpha's basically the
- 17:49Speaker 1: characters they're playing in the episode. I just pictured. So
- 17:53Speaker 1: I texted Johnny and I go, you fucking hated Maloney,
- 17:56Speaker 1: didn't you? He laughed, and he goes, no, No, our
- 17:58Speaker 1: old friends, Um, there's just something about watching the episode.
- 18:01Speaker 1: I guess their acting was amazing, but I was like,
- 18:03Speaker 1: these fuckers must have really hated They're just so similar
- 18:10Speaker 1: in their alpha maleness. It's very interesting that Johnny hangs
- 18:15Speaker 1: out with a lot of people that are exactly or
- 18:18Speaker 1: not exactly, but are very much like him. If you
- 18:21Speaker 1: look at his group of guys that he hangs out with,
- 18:24Speaker 1: they're all uber alpha. Yeah, they're all you know what
- 18:28Speaker 1: I mean, They're all sports, they love sports, and they're
- 18:31Speaker 1: all very eccentric actors, you know what I mean. They
- 18:34Speaker 1: have little quirks about them that nobody else does, you
- 18:38Speaker 1: know what I mean. By the way, we sold out
- 18:41Speaker 1: of beach towels. We sold out a water class. That's great.
- 18:46Speaker 1: We still don't have any mugs available for you guys. Well,
- 18:49Speaker 1: why why aren't we ordering more stuff? Because we never
- 18:52Speaker 1: we release something, everyone gets excited and then it sells
- 18:55Speaker 1: right out. We need to order me. Yeah, that's you
- 18:57Speaker 1: guys are doing much better. They like, We were like, oh,
- 19:00Speaker 1: they're gonna do really good. We'll order a lot, and
- 19:02Speaker 1: then you do so much better, and so you're setting
- 19:05Speaker 1: a new standard. We're just trying to hold me. Um.
- 19:07Speaker 1: The merch gal Harper told me that there's over two
- 19:10Speaker 1: hundred people on a waiting list for beach towels. That's
- 19:15Speaker 1: how much people. That's how much people want to lie
- 19:18Speaker 1: on our faces. This is the streetwear method. This is
- 19:20Speaker 1: how Supreme does. Oh we're doing this Supreme way that
- 19:24Speaker 1: people lined up. Oh, we're doing Supreme style. If you
- 19:30Speaker 1: live in LA and before COVID, if you live in
- 19:32Speaker 1: LA and you drive down Fairfax, you will see a
- 19:34Speaker 1: line like you can't believe how long the line is.
- 19:37Speaker 1: And I'm just I'm always like, what, well, who's doing
- 19:39Speaker 1: a signing? Is it like fucking jay Z? What are
- 19:42Speaker 1: people lined up for? And it's fucking the Supreme store
- 19:46Speaker 1: every day. So Donald, we're trying to get that Supreme action.
- 19:49Speaker 1: That's why that's why I should sold out. Well yo,
- 19:52Speaker 1: we yo. I'm just saying, man, maybe we should do
- 19:54Speaker 1: a little thing with Supreme. Maybe we should get like
- 19:56Speaker 1: that a Supreme like a stamp and just stamp Supreme
- 20:00Speaker 1: on the back of our shirts. People. Wait, hold on now, Dann,
- 20:04Speaker 1: you know I'm right. You're gonna get real frisky with that. Damn.
- 20:08Speaker 1: You know I'm right about this. People pay your life
- 20:10Speaker 1: for that supreme ship. I don't even gotta be real
- 20:12Speaker 1: supreme on They gotta do is say supreme on it.
- 20:15Speaker 1: I listen, if you bought the washcloth and our faces
- 20:17Speaker 1: are dotted all over it like a checkerboard, and you
- 20:20Speaker 1: have the choice, um when going into your anus to
- 20:24Speaker 1: get any dukey out of the shower, use Zack Donald's face,
- 20:28Speaker 1: use space, Do not put your finger behind my space.
- 20:33Speaker 1: Choose jot space and scrub your balloon. N listened, you
- 20:40Speaker 1: were when you when you were getting into your balloon, knot.
- 20:43Speaker 1: I want you to choose that beautiful dome Donald. I
- 20:47Speaker 1: think I need to go pray. I know, but y
- 20:52Speaker 1: you should use make sure you hell, I don't even
- 20:58Speaker 1: have one, by the way, can we don't have money
- 21:01Speaker 1: some of this stuff, hoodie, I'm just trying to get one.
- 21:06Speaker 1: I didn't realize. I didn't realize that this was gonna
- 21:10Speaker 1: be an issue until I was promoting our towels saying
- 21:13Speaker 1: that they were up live, and I realized, oh shit,
- 21:17Speaker 1: people could wash their asses or their wops. That's the
- 21:21Speaker 1: whole point with our faces. Yeah, get your get get
- 21:24Speaker 1: it on your whop. Everybody, precisely, friends, precisely, my face
- 21:29Speaker 1: is gonna touch so much whop. Yeah, yeah, and it
- 21:34Speaker 1: really will be whopped because it's in the showers, so
- 21:36Speaker 1: we know it's whopped up. I'm gonna dry. I'm gonna
- 21:39Speaker 1: dry a whole lot of whop. You're gonna wash wop,
- 21:43Speaker 1: and you're gonna wash balloon knots all over the world.
- 21:45Speaker 1: I'm gonna wash wop. I'm gonna wash balloon knots. I'm
- 21:48Speaker 1: gonna wash junk, and I'm gonna dry all of them
- 21:50Speaker 1: at the same armpits. You're gonna get an all sorts
- 21:53Speaker 1: of armpits and and coin slots. Oh my god, you
- 21:56Speaker 1: know I love me an armpit. I love me a
- 21:58Speaker 1: coin slot. And there we go. By the way, you
- 22:00Speaker 1: can use me on your use use me in your
- 22:02Speaker 1: coin slot, use Donald on your balloon knight. This is
- 22:07Speaker 1: the best episode of this show ever. Wait, this might
- 22:12Speaker 1: be the best advertising. Look, it's our stuff, so we
- 22:15Speaker 1: can advertise it however we want it. We don't have
- 22:17Speaker 1: any guidelines. Yeah, this is what I want you to do,
- 22:20Speaker 1: Ladies and gentlemen of fake doctors and real friends. Take
- 22:23Speaker 1: doctors real friends. If you're out there, Yeah, and you
- 22:26Speaker 1: have purchased said washcloth or towel. I give you permission.
- 22:32Speaker 1: You don't even need my permission, but I give you
- 22:34Speaker 1: permission to wipe your asshole with my face. This is
- 22:40Speaker 1: the best red ad we've ever done. If only are
- 22:44Speaker 1: if only are ads that we have to read sounded
- 22:47Speaker 1: this good? Gis Kamboche is begging for this, ya, Gkabuch
- 22:51Speaker 1: is gonna be like, can you give us that kind
- 22:53Speaker 1: of energy? That's amazing. Let's take a break. We'll be
- 22:55Speaker 1: right back after these fine words you. Let's gets focused,
- 23:05Speaker 1: all right. So Chris Maloney's in the episode. Uh, we
- 23:15Speaker 1: tried to get Chris by the way, but he is
- 23:18Speaker 1: shooting his show, which I think is h He works
- 23:21Speaker 1: so much for you, right, Is he still in es
- 23:23Speaker 1: for you or he having I think I think he's
- 23:24Speaker 1: coming back for you, dude, I think he's coming back.
- 23:28Speaker 1: Imagine how rich Chris Maloney must be from that SVU money.
- 23:31Speaker 1: It's like season forty five. Well, look think about Marishka man.
- 23:36Speaker 1: I know I've been to Mauritika's house. It's insane. I
- 23:38Speaker 1: gotta tell you. But but I'm gonna tell you for
- 23:41Speaker 1: you money, Donald, we never did make that s for
- 23:43Speaker 1: you money, Donald, No, we did not but when you
- 23:46Speaker 1: think about when you think about it, they have to
- 23:48Speaker 1: give up every other aspect of their career just to
- 23:52Speaker 1: do that show. Yeah, they went on in. It's like poker,
- 23:55Speaker 1: They're all in. All in here. You go like, I
- 23:57Speaker 1: can't I'm not gonna ever do movie. I can't do
- 23:59Speaker 1: movies because of this. I can't do he does. He
- 24:01Speaker 1: does indecent stuff. I mean, I've seen Cleary. He had
- 24:04Speaker 1: to leave SVU to do that. Though he had to
- 24:06Speaker 1: leave the show to go do other things. I'm just telling.
- 24:10Speaker 1: When your show is on, like season one hundred, it's
- 24:13Speaker 1: just like Ellen Pompeo on Gray's Anatomy. I mean, how
- 24:16Speaker 1: many seasons has that been on Ellen Pompeo. She must
- 24:19Speaker 1: have gold fawcets. Ellen Pompeo takes a jet to Walmart. Listen, man,
- 24:36Speaker 1: we never did get that Gray's Anatomy money. I know,
- 24:39Speaker 1: but I don't really want. I mean I I don't.
- 24:42Speaker 1: I don't want to work as hard as we did
- 24:44Speaker 1: for my whole life, to be honest. I mean, those
- 24:47Speaker 1: hours are just h too much for daddy. I want
- 24:50Speaker 1: to work hard. No, I totally get it. I told
- 24:53Speaker 1: I also want to have a little bit of a life.
- 24:55Speaker 1: You know what I'm saying. I'm sure they have. I'm
- 24:59Speaker 1: sure they look. First of all, Gray's Anatomy can't run forever.
- 25:02Speaker 1: It'll run for a long time, but it can't run forever.
- 25:05Speaker 1: I think it could run forever. Why my niece, the
- 25:08Speaker 1: teenagers have found it? Donald, My niece has Gray's Anatomy
- 25:12Speaker 1: sheets right, But once, once, she says, I don't want
- 25:17Speaker 1: to do this anymore. It's over because she's Gray, isn't
- 25:21Speaker 1: she there? Always did Now, She's had two sisters. One
- 25:24Speaker 1: of them died in a plane crash, but the other
- 25:25Speaker 1: one is still hanging around. She could definitely like kick
- 25:29Speaker 1: in and run that. She's got kids if they want
- 25:31Speaker 1: to do a quick little time jump, her kids could
- 25:33Speaker 1: be the grades of Gray's Anatomy. Oh my god, time jump. Yeah, no,
- 25:37Speaker 1: we don't need to as the Marvel Universe. Yes, let's
- 25:40Speaker 1: do it. That's amazing. Wait, you know, if is there
- 25:46Speaker 1: a show other than Saturday Night Live? And I mean
- 25:49Speaker 1: even the tonight show changed time slots and and who's
- 25:53Speaker 1: hosted it and everything like that, It's become a completely
- 25:56Speaker 1: different show other than Saturday Night Live? Is there is
- 25:59Speaker 1: there anything? This was sixty minutes. Is there any like
- 26:02Speaker 1: Doctor Who? No, what's the Yeah, what's the narrative? Joel?
- 26:06Speaker 1: Just look up for us? What's the non non news,
- 26:09Speaker 1: not not sl what's the narrative? What's the narrative? Longest
- 26:12Speaker 1: running show? Yeah? United States? Imagine it's Doctor Who? Yeah, us,
- 26:19Speaker 1: how long exact? I think it's got to be those
- 26:22Speaker 1: kids over on that Supernatural show, right, Yeah, that just
- 26:25Speaker 1: ended this year. I've never seen an episode of Doctor Who.
- 26:28Speaker 1: I'm sorry, neither of us. Sorry b BBC, I'm sorry.
- 26:31Speaker 1: Oh have you watched it? Dan? The fans are coming
- 26:34Speaker 1: for you. Some episodes I wouldn't. I wouldn't call myself
- 26:36Speaker 1: a huge fan, but I've definitely seen enough. Had some
- 26:39Speaker 1: Who fans in college who were like, oh, you go
- 26:41Speaker 1: to watch and I was like, Okay, we'll do it.
- 26:44Speaker 1: So here we go. The Simpsons thirty two seasons, order
- 26:48Speaker 1: twenty one. Season's gone smoke twenty so just imagine twenty one. Wwkay,
- 26:56Speaker 1: I don't know. I don't know. Yeah, I couldn't do
- 26:57Speaker 1: a television show for twenty one years. But but that's
- 27:01Speaker 1: that's the same character every day. But isn't that fucking
- 27:08Speaker 1: money though? Isn't that the time. Yeah, but I mean,
- 27:11Speaker 1: I mean, I mean where it's like yeah, but I
- 27:13Speaker 1: mean I think one also has to go as we did.
- 27:17Speaker 1: I mean, or at least I see from my point
- 27:19Speaker 1: of view, like I want to try other things. I
- 27:21Speaker 1: want to I'm so grateful, but I also want to
- 27:23Speaker 1: try other things. I'm not judging it. Teach their own.
- 27:26Speaker 1: I don't have gold Falset's no, no, nobody's nobody's nobody's
- 27:31Speaker 1: judging anybody. I just think, I just think that, uh,
- 27:35Speaker 1: if I had that opportunity, I don't know that I
- 27:37Speaker 1: would be like Mama, let's let's say piece out to it.
- 27:41Speaker 1: There's certain But then again, but then again, I didn't
- 27:44Speaker 1: work every day on scrubs. Like if Scrubs could still
- 27:46Speaker 1: run right now, I might still be into that. But
- 27:48Speaker 1: then again, I didn't work every day. I only worked
- 27:50Speaker 1: a few days out of a week, and I would
- 27:52Speaker 1: have days off, and I was able to have a
- 27:53Speaker 1: life during the day, whereas you worked every day damn
- 27:58Speaker 1: near every hour. So I I could totally understand how
- 28:01Speaker 1: easy it is to get burnt out when you're living
- 28:03Speaker 1: that type of lifestyle. All right, let's get back to
- 28:05Speaker 1: the episode Donald mickhead First, introduction of Mickhead. Finally, finally,
- 28:10Speaker 1: the very first time we introduced the character of doctor Mickhead,
- 28:14Speaker 1: he gets tackled and knocked out of the picture. So, Frank,
- 28:20Speaker 1: this is your moment. We should have had you on
- 28:22Speaker 1: a show. Sorry, well, no, we can have mckhead on.
- 28:26Speaker 1: I think we should do a special episode one day
- 28:28Speaker 1: where we discuss we have all those guys on the
- 28:34Speaker 1: Mickheads of the world. The beard fusset. You know, I
- 28:37Speaker 1: had at this point, I had made Garden State and
- 28:39Speaker 1: had a big scene where it said balls on my face,
- 28:42Speaker 1: on my forehead and Garden State and I don't and
- 28:47Speaker 1: then you know, here I am. I'm not saying that.
- 28:51Speaker 1: You know it was taken from that, but I had
- 28:53Speaker 1: just shot a very special moment of my movie where
- 28:57Speaker 1: while I was drunk in asleep, someone wrote ball on
- 29:00Speaker 1: my forehead. And now here we are, episode three h three,
- 29:04Speaker 1: we're writing prom on my forehead. Czar, what are you
- 29:09Speaker 1: trying to say? I'm not trying to see anything. I'm
- 29:12Speaker 1: not sure about it. I'm are you sure about it?
- 29:14Speaker 1: Because it seems like you're trying to compare balls and
- 29:18Speaker 1: prom No, I don't think that anyone from the Scrubs
- 29:21Speaker 1: writer room would have seen an early cut of Garden State.
- 29:23Speaker 1: I'm just saying it's a bizarre coincidence. Um, it does
- 29:27Speaker 1: say Prom in my head. And when we come back,
- 29:30Speaker 1: I say to the janitors trying to get the marker
- 29:32Speaker 1: off the wall, and I say, you'll be able to
- 29:35Speaker 1: get off. You won't need laser surgery or skin from
- 29:37Speaker 1: your ass. That that didn't make me laugh. It's your
- 29:41Speaker 1: mean base pin which which which means that JD in
- 29:45Speaker 1: order to get Prom off his forehead needed to have
- 29:47Speaker 1: skin transferred from his ass. Yeah, they did a graph
- 29:51Speaker 1: on his ass. They did a skin graph on his
- 29:54Speaker 1: ass and lasered the markers. The marker was so strong
- 30:00Speaker 1: that they had to get it. Monkeys, Donald, we have
- 30:04Speaker 1: monkeys on the set, So Zach is the part that
- 30:06Speaker 1: Deontay wanted to tell us about where something happened with
- 30:10Speaker 1: him and some monkeys. Deontay take it away the Doctor's
- 30:13Speaker 1: turning into Monkey's fantasy scene. Oh yeah, I remember this
- 30:18Speaker 1: one real well. So the night before the scene, Donald
- 30:23Speaker 1: Zack and I went out and I got super drunk
- 30:26Speaker 1: and I was really hungover the next day. So when
- 30:31Speaker 1: I get to set, we're having like a big safety
- 30:34Speaker 1: meeting because these chimpanzees are going to be on set,
- 30:37Speaker 1: and you know, the trainers are telling us how dangerous
- 30:39Speaker 1: they are and that they're super strong and they can
- 30:42Speaker 1: rip your arm out of your socket or you know.
- 30:45Speaker 1: Another story was about a lady who got her face
- 30:47Speaker 1: eaten off, and basically, we got to be super careful,
- 30:51Speaker 1: and not only careful, anyone who's not needed on set
- 30:55Speaker 1: after we set this up has to leave the floor, like,
- 30:59Speaker 1: not just the set, but get off of the fourth
- 31:01Speaker 1: floor where we were filming everyone if you're not needing.
- 31:04Speaker 1: So I was like, you know what, if everyone's leaving
- 31:09Speaker 1: the floor, then the couch in the doctor's lounge on
- 31:13Speaker 1: the fourth floor, and you guys watch the show. You
- 31:16Speaker 1: know it's the one that has the pac Man machine.
- 31:18Speaker 1: The couch is going to be opened, right, so I
- 31:20Speaker 1: can close the doors and take a nap. Cool, right,
- 31:25Speaker 1: Not cool? Not cool. So I'm there sleeping and all
- 31:29Speaker 1: of a sudden, I'm awakened by the sounds of monkeys
- 31:33Speaker 1: screaming and trainers screaming. I don't know what the monkeys
- 31:36Speaker 1: were screaming, but the trainers were screaming, get back here,
- 31:39Speaker 1: get back here, and I was like, get back where.
- 31:43Speaker 1: Next thing I know, I could hear the monkeys running
- 31:46Speaker 1: down the hallways towards me, and I'm thinking, okay, I
- 31:49Speaker 1: should be cool, right, like like both doors are closed
- 31:52Speaker 1: and I'm inside. But then I remember, wait a minute,
- 31:56Speaker 1: monkeys can open doors. They got thumbs. So as I
- 32:01Speaker 1: set up to go run over to lock the door,
- 32:04Speaker 1: the door just burst open and there's a monkey standing
- 32:07Speaker 1: there with a lap coat on and a stethoscope, and
- 32:11Speaker 1: he's got his teeth showing, and he's looking me dead
- 32:13Speaker 1: in my eye, and all I can think about is,
- 32:15Speaker 1: oh God, I'm about to lose my face. Next thing
- 32:20Speaker 1: I know, monkey starts spreading at me, full speed, full speed,
- 32:24Speaker 1: across the room, right at me, and at the very
- 32:26Speaker 1: last second, he jumps over me, over the couch to
- 32:30Speaker 1: the back of the room, opens the back door, and
- 32:33Speaker 1: runs out. That is the last time I don't listen
- 32:38Speaker 1: to safety protocols, just saying thank you, thank you. Yeah, well,
- 32:44Speaker 1: monkey's on set. What a bizarre That was a bizarre day.
- 32:46Speaker 1: I remember that. How about when the janitor sprays his
- 32:50Speaker 1: chemicals on Doug's ear and Doug starts screaming down the hallway. Now,
- 32:57Speaker 1: then I fantasize about seeing Elliott in a bikini sucking
- 33:02Speaker 1: on a lollipop in a rowboat. This is very provocative
- 33:07Speaker 1: Sarah Chalk moment because she's you know, it's Jady's fantasy,
- 33:14Speaker 1: but um, you know she's doing she went full lollipop. Wait,
- 33:21Speaker 1: what does full lollipop mean? She was filating the lollipop
- 33:24Speaker 1: in a seductive manner whilst in a bikini that was
- 33:30Speaker 1: cleavage heavy in a rowboat. And then we cut the
- 33:34Speaker 1: Scott Folly and he's dunk taped with his mouth all
- 33:36Speaker 1: taped up in the bottom of the boat and we
- 33:39Speaker 1: throw him over the side. That was funny. Yeah, did
- 33:44Speaker 1: did somebody have to really fall in out? Do you
- 33:45Speaker 1: remember shooting that day? Vaguely? I remember, I don't remember
- 33:49Speaker 1: where it was. I think it looks like Lake Balboa.
- 33:52Speaker 1: I could be wrong, Probably it was probably that. And
- 33:54Speaker 1: then yes, a stunt man went in, not fully. I
- 33:56Speaker 1: don't know if Folly was was was even there that
- 34:00Speaker 1: they may have shot the him in the boat at
- 34:01Speaker 1: different time. All I know is that water looked gross
- 34:04Speaker 1: as Yeah, even even when even when they cut to
- 34:08Speaker 1: Sarah on her back with the lollipop in her mouth
- 34:11Speaker 1: and the boat's going for you know, from underneath the camera,
- 34:14Speaker 1: into the into the into the background. I remember looking
- 34:18Speaker 1: at him be like, oh wow, cool shot. That water
- 34:21Speaker 1: looks dirty as fun. By the way, if it was
- 34:23Speaker 1: Lake Balboa, it's probably fucking floating hypodermic needles in there's
- 34:28Speaker 1: a stunt man earning his keyp go to that water.
- 34:34Speaker 1: The stunt wasn't falling out of the boat. The stunt
- 34:36Speaker 1: was getting in the water. Um, Like the water is green.
- 34:44Speaker 1: When he lands in it and it splashes, it doesn't
- 34:46Speaker 1: it doesn't get white. It just stays green, dude, while
- 34:50Speaker 1: the water just gross gross. Um. How about when when
- 34:54Speaker 1: I go I think I'm going on to dinner with
- 34:57Speaker 1: Elliott and Sean shows up. Oh hey, Sean's here. Everybody,
- 35:00Speaker 1: Hey Sean. Hey. You know what else made me laugh
- 35:05Speaker 1: when he goes When he goes well, actually, JD, they
- 35:09Speaker 1: they are. They are mammals. Well you know what, Sean,
- 35:13Speaker 1: you know what he goes like. Unfortunately, unfortunately for me, Sean,
- 35:18Speaker 1: my interns aren't mammals. And he goes Scott with the
- 35:22Speaker 1: most perfect straightment. Actually, JD, they are. I don't care
- 35:26Speaker 1: Sean when you go, but when you go, well, you
- 35:31Speaker 1: know what, Sean. Unfortunately, that ship was so I love,
- 35:36Speaker 1: I loved. I do laugh hard at me being manic
- 35:40Speaker 1: and him just totally being straight like actually, JD, they
- 35:43Speaker 1: are mammals, amazing. That was funny. I'm about in that
- 35:50Speaker 1: flashback where just showing what a pushover JD is and
- 35:53Speaker 1: the guy continue goes who wants to help me move?
- 35:55Speaker 1: And I go, I will know. And then he comes
- 35:58Speaker 1: back and he goes, who wants to help me move? Back?
- 36:00Speaker 1: And I go, I know where it all goes. That
- 36:07Speaker 1: was funny. I've never noticed that JD wants everybody to
- 36:11Speaker 1: like him. I've noticed that he you know, likes who
- 36:14Speaker 1: he likes, etcetera, etcetera, but I've never noticed that he's
- 36:17Speaker 1: gone all out to make people like him. I always
- 36:19Speaker 1: thought that j D was one of those cats, well
- 36:21Speaker 1: I don't want to fuck with me, and I don't
- 36:22Speaker 1: got to funk with him. No. I think he was
- 36:24Speaker 1: definitely someone that was super sensitive and wanted everyone to
- 36:28Speaker 1: like him. In fact, in this episode, he wants his
- 36:30Speaker 1: interns to like him so much that they're that they're shit.
- 36:32Speaker 1: He's not. They don't respect him, they're walking all over him.
- 36:35Speaker 1: Um and uh and he you know, one of them.
- 36:39Speaker 1: One of his interns hands him a file and he's
- 36:41Speaker 1: like her, can you take care of this? And I'm like,
- 36:42Speaker 1: w do you have a lot of other work to do.
- 36:46Speaker 1: But yeah, he's he's there doing all of the stuff
- 36:52Speaker 1: for his interns, like he none of them know how
- 36:55Speaker 1: to all of them are incompetent because of him. Yeah. Yeah,
- 36:59Speaker 1: he's not being a good teacher. I mean, that's the lesson.
- 37:01Speaker 1: It's so hard in life when you're when trying to
- 37:05Speaker 1: walk that line between wanting people to like you and
- 37:09Speaker 1: also having their respect. Yeah, I'm dealing with j. JD
- 37:13Speaker 1: is someone who's just getting walked all over and he
- 37:16Speaker 1: doesn't have to stop it because he doesn't want confrontation.
- 37:20Speaker 1: Sometimes you have to suck it up and have confrontation
- 37:22Speaker 1: or you're just gonna have no respects. Yeah. I'm dealing
- 37:24Speaker 1: with that in my house right now, man, with my kids. Really,
- 37:28Speaker 1: my kids walk all over me and I'm on the
- 37:33Speaker 1: young ones, and I'm walking the thin line of having
- 37:35Speaker 1: to be you know, I want to be their friend,
- 37:37Speaker 1: but I also got to be their dad, you know
- 37:39Speaker 1: what I mean. And so Casey comes in and freaking
- 37:42Speaker 1: lays down the you know, she LAIDs down the gauntlet
- 37:45Speaker 1: and they all hop to it and everything like that,
- 37:47Speaker 1: and she looks at me like, dude, what the fuck?
- 37:50Speaker 1: And in my mind, I'm like, I just don't want
- 37:51Speaker 1: them to hate me. But yeah, you're right, you just
- 37:54Speaker 1: you you gotta you have to be responsible and you
- 37:57Speaker 1: have to make sure that their responsable. And so this
- 38:00Speaker 1: is the exact same thing. That's the exact same thing.
- 38:02Speaker 1: And I imagine it's so hard as a parent because
- 38:04Speaker 1: you're like, I don't want to fuck have a confrontation
- 38:06Speaker 1: right now. I just sat down to eat my soup,
- 38:11Speaker 1: or you know, I wake up earlier than everybody in
- 38:14Speaker 1: the morning and stuff like that. And the kids come
- 38:16Speaker 1: down and you know, it's quiet in the house, and
- 38:19Speaker 1: Rocco comes down and he'll want breakfast, and if I
- 38:22Speaker 1: don't make him what he wants by without reading, you know,
- 38:26Speaker 1: it's the mind reading of what children want for breakfast.
- 38:29Speaker 1: Like on TV, you say, you know, the breakfast time
- 38:32Speaker 1: comes and the parent just makes breakfast and the kid
- 38:35Speaker 1: eats the ship. In real life, parent makes breakfast. The
- 38:38Speaker 1: kids like, I didn't want dad for breakfast, and you're like,
- 38:41Speaker 1: oh shit, well what do you want? And then now
- 38:44Speaker 1: all of a sudden, you're catering to the kid, and
- 38:46Speaker 1: you know, Casey comes down and be like, you're eating
- 38:49Speaker 1: this ship and they'll eat it. And I'm like, why
- 38:51Speaker 1: can't I do that? You're the advertising for having children. Donald.
- 38:56Speaker 1: Every time I hang out with Donald, he's like, bro,
- 39:02Speaker 1: I love my kids. Casey and Casey and Donald and
- 39:05Speaker 1: Florence and I had had dinner and they were like, no, seriously,
- 39:10Speaker 1: don't do it. No. We weren't like we were both
- 39:12Speaker 1: like and we're both like ha, and they're like, no, run.
- 39:18Speaker 1: We weren't like that, dude. We were more It was
- 39:20Speaker 1: more like, if you're gonna do it, just make sure
- 39:23Speaker 1: you're ready to do it, because if you're not ready
- 39:25Speaker 1: to do it, this shit it's a lot of work
- 39:27Speaker 1: and it's only fulfilling if you're truthfully in it to
- 39:33Speaker 1: win it. And we are truthfully in it to win it.
- 39:35Speaker 1: And so, yes, it's very difficult, and yes we have
- 39:38Speaker 1: hard times and stuff like that, but we know we're
- 39:41Speaker 1: trying to raise great human beings and that's our effort.
- 39:45Speaker 1: And so I would love I would love the audience
- 39:47Speaker 1: to see like subtitles while Donald's talking right now, it's
- 39:51Speaker 1: like run while you still get ignore the words that
- 39:54Speaker 1: are coming out of my mouth. Right, so these motherfuckers
- 39:57Speaker 1: will not eat cereal for records. Somebody, right, somebody takes
- 40:01Speaker 1: a picture of me, and then my eyes kind of
- 40:03Speaker 1: go blank for a second, and I come to and
- 40:05Speaker 1: I look at you, and I'm like run run and
- 40:10Speaker 1: then some and then I don't know where my kids
- 40:12Speaker 1: snatched me up and ship and pulled me away, and
- 40:14Speaker 1: it's just like it's just like, get out, all get out,
- 40:18Speaker 1: get out, get out all right. On that note, we
- 40:22Speaker 1: were going to go to break and when we come back,
- 40:24Speaker 1: we're gonna have a fan call. Will be right back
- 40:35Speaker 1: and we're back. I have I have AC problems. Hello there,
- 40:39Speaker 1: how are you? Hollyhock? Hollyhock? That can't be your real name?
- 40:42Speaker 1: You just like bow Jack Horseman. That is my real name?
- 40:45Speaker 1: Is it really married into that name? That great? Oh
- 40:48Speaker 1: that's ladies and gentlemen, give it up for a hollyho
- 40:53Speaker 1: Welcome to the program, hollyhock, Um, where are you calling from?
- 41:00Speaker 1: I'm calling from just outside of Baltimore, Baltimore, Marylyn. And
- 41:07Speaker 1: there is your official Donald and the Oprah voice saying
- 41:10Speaker 1: your location you're waiting for it. Yeah, for it. Ever
- 41:17Speaker 1: since she heard she was gonna be on the show.
- 41:20Speaker 1: You're gonna break the latch. Stop you're breaking the latch,
- 41:25Speaker 1: breaking many many babies. Ariola, latch right now when you yell.
- 41:29Speaker 1: We know that from the breastfeeding conversation. Okay, now we
- 41:33Speaker 1: have to miss to get the baby back to sleep.
- 41:35Speaker 1: I apologize. Okay, let it latch, Let it latch. There
- 41:38Speaker 1: it is, got a little got a little dirty. All right. Holly, Hi, welcome.
- 41:50Speaker 1: How are you? What do you? What do you do
- 41:52Speaker 1: for a living over in Baltimore? Pause? Holly pause, stop
- 41:55Speaker 1: right there? Hold on. Okay, Joel is interrupted, interrupting your
- 42:00Speaker 1: You guys, look at Oh my god, oh my god,
- 42:05Speaker 1: describe what were Yoda? Oh my god. So this is
- 42:09Speaker 1: a cake that I made. You made that cake? Let
- 42:12Speaker 1: me you are Let me tell the audience, you guys,
- 42:15Speaker 1: we are looking at a realistic, actual sized cake of
- 42:22Speaker 1: baby Yoda. Wow. I mean it looks like it could
- 42:25Speaker 1: be one of those giant figures that that side show
- 42:29Speaker 1: Collectibles makes, but it is in fact an edible cake.
- 42:32Speaker 1: Tell us about this, Holly, So tell us about baby
- 42:37Speaker 1: Yoda or cake making? You made that yes, focus on Holly.
- 42:45Speaker 1: Come on, how did you learn? How did you learn
- 42:48Speaker 1: to do that that? Oh my god, there's now So
- 42:53Speaker 1: I actually taught myself. Like m I started doing it.
- 42:58Speaker 1: I wanted to make my son's first birthday cake and
- 43:00Speaker 1: he just turned thirteen, so I wanted to get into it.
- 43:06Speaker 1: I was watching all the TV shows about cake decorating
- 43:09Speaker 1: and I was just like, yes, I'm going to do this,
- 43:12Speaker 1: and so that's when I started. My very first cake
- 43:15Speaker 1: is my son's first birthday cake. Do you have a
- 43:16Speaker 1: business that you do this or is this just for fun?
- 43:19Speaker 1: I do. Actually, my husband and I have an events company,
- 43:25Speaker 1: and obviously in March that went out the window for
- 43:31Speaker 1: the foreseeable future because we do small events. We do
- 43:34Speaker 1: concerts and nerd parties and things that we have like
- 43:38Speaker 1: a lot of people act party. That's her dream. Oh
- 43:41Speaker 1: my gosh, the powder party. The powder parties are so
- 43:44Speaker 1: much fun. You just don't even know. There's like a
- 43:47Speaker 1: million wizards and witches. So anyway, so we that just
- 43:51Speaker 1: went out the window and we needed to do something
- 43:55Speaker 1: to make money. We weren't sure if unemployment was going
- 43:59Speaker 1: to come in or if we you know, at that time,
- 44:01Speaker 1: we didn't even know that there was a stimules coming
- 44:03Speaker 1: or anything like that. So I was just like, all right,
- 44:07Speaker 1: this is what I can do. So this is what
- 44:08Speaker 1: I'm gonna do. And I came up with a menu.
- 44:11Speaker 1: My husband is a graphic designer and media marketers, so
- 44:16Speaker 1: he put all of that together for me, and we
- 44:18Speaker 1: launched and like sold out for the first like month
- 44:24Speaker 1: that we did. Wait, tell people, you got to tell
- 44:27Speaker 1: people how they could get one of your amazing cakes.
- 44:30Speaker 1: What you have a website I assume or something. So yeah,
- 44:33Speaker 1: so we're on Facebook and Instagram. We're the sugar Drop.
- 44:38Speaker 1: Hold on, I'm trying to like open up this new
- 44:40Speaker 1: packet of stickers. I have to show you guys stickers. Oh,
- 44:46Speaker 1: I'll definitely send get all right, So okay, this is
- 44:49Speaker 1: the Sugar Drop Maryland. So it's the sugar Drop MD
- 44:53Speaker 1: on Facebook and Instagram, sugar Drop MD. Now, if you're
- 44:56Speaker 1: in the Maryland, if you're in the Baltimore area, I assume, yeah, yeah,
- 45:00Speaker 1: in the Baltimore area, we do delivery. So it's like
- 45:02Speaker 1: contactless delivery of all of your sugary needs. So we
- 45:10Speaker 1: how long does like a baby Yoda cake like that,
- 45:12Speaker 1: which is just magnificent by the way, and even if
- 45:14Speaker 1: you're not in the Baltimore area, you should go look
- 45:17Speaker 1: at her Instagram and see how awesome this is. How
- 45:19Speaker 1: long does something like that take to make? I'm not
- 45:23Speaker 1: exactly sure, because I do it in steps, like I'll
- 45:25Speaker 1: bake the cake one day, and then I'll I sit
- 45:28Speaker 1: and stack it and carve it out another day, and
- 45:30Speaker 1: then add the details another day. But it's all kind
- 45:32Speaker 1: of broken up into different chucks. And it could be
- 45:34Speaker 1: sometimes ten hours that it takes me to make something
- 45:37Speaker 1: like that, or sometimes it could take all week. It
- 45:40Speaker 1: just depends on you know, it just depends on what
- 45:43Speaker 1: it is. As your business grows, and I imagine it will,
- 45:45Speaker 1: you'll probably need to hire some some helpers to be
- 45:48Speaker 1: able to crank out things like that. I know, I
- 45:51Speaker 1: know for right now, it's just it's just me and
- 45:54Speaker 1: my husband is my delivery boy and my UM graphic designer.
- 46:01Speaker 1: Could you do anything like if I wanted to, if
- 46:03Speaker 1: I wanted a Joel cake, could you take images of
- 46:06Speaker 1: Joel and fashion a Joel cake for her birth? You know,
- 46:10Speaker 1: I do believe I could. Okay, I have done um,
- 46:14Speaker 1: I've done like a bust of Deadpool and Baltimore, and
- 46:20Speaker 1: you know some things that like require facial features, so
- 46:23Speaker 1: I probably could. Okay, Joelle, I'm gonna return your present,
- 46:28Speaker 1: Joel cake. I love it. I would like a salted Carol.
- 46:32Speaker 1: Let's do this. Donald, what would you have made if
- 46:36Speaker 1: you could commission? I mean it might be baby Yoda,
- 46:38Speaker 1: But what would you commission as a cake? Wow, that's
- 46:41Speaker 1: a tough one. It's definitely going to be something Star Wars,
- 46:44Speaker 1: probably Darth Vader Um. So I have a seven year
- 46:48Speaker 1: old and five year old and so we just recently
- 46:51Speaker 1: got into the whole you know, well me personally again,
- 46:56Speaker 1: the whole cake once a year, the special big ass
- 47:00Speaker 1: cake for the birthday. My kid had a garbage truck
- 47:03Speaker 1: for his second birthday, Like a garbage truck cake was Yeah,
- 47:09Speaker 1: it was huge. The crazy thing is you look at
- 47:12Speaker 1: these things and you're like, there's no way that could
- 47:14Speaker 1: taste good, and then you bite into it and it's delicious.
- 47:18Speaker 1: It's like eating a Twinkie or a yeah you know
- 47:21Speaker 1: what I mean. It's it's just really interesting. I've always
- 47:25Speaker 1: shied away from cakes that looked like they took a
- 47:28Speaker 1: lot of work to make because I've always felt like
- 47:31Speaker 1: you know it's it'll be it'll be old, or the
- 47:35Speaker 1: frosting will be too it'll be worked too much. And
- 47:40Speaker 1: in all honesty, the cakes are delicious. Man. You don't
- 47:43Speaker 1: lose you don't lose flavor and texture because of the sculpture.
- 47:49Speaker 1: So I love it. I was watching one of those
- 47:51Speaker 1: cake shows and they were like building like a wallace
- 47:54Speaker 1: ingrammet moving. It was like a pine making machine had
- 48:00Speaker 1: moving parts, and I always think that's funny, like, well,
- 48:03Speaker 1: what happens when you like cut your knife down and
- 48:06Speaker 1: you hit likelywood? Like there obviously is I mean not,
- 48:09Speaker 1: I'm not saying in yours, but in these big elaborate
- 48:11Speaker 1: ones there's like obviously structure and like wiring there there
- 48:15Speaker 1: is some structure involved. Like baby Yoda had a few
- 48:18Speaker 1: doll rods inside of him to like sort of keep
- 48:20Speaker 1: him upright for transport. But I always let my customers know,
- 48:24Speaker 1: like this is what's in it, so just so you
- 48:27Speaker 1: know when you're cutting into it, so that you don't yeah,
- 48:29Speaker 1: all right, So I don't even know in the in
- 48:30Speaker 1: the fancy cake building world, you do have to put
- 48:33Speaker 1: some wood dowels or something to say, like it's like
- 48:35Speaker 1: the thing that used to be in the sandwiches the toothpick. Yeah. Yeah. Sometimes,
- 48:40Speaker 1: um it requires like an armature, like it could be
- 48:42Speaker 1: PVC pipe inside of that thing. It just depends on
- 48:45Speaker 1: what it is. Like. You just have to build build
- 48:49Speaker 1: the cakes out. You know, I did a what is
- 48:53Speaker 1: it called? Well, I'm having a blank but anyway, I
- 48:56Speaker 1: made this big tree one time. Yeah, and so I
- 48:59Speaker 1: had like PVC pipe and plywood cut out to the
- 49:02Speaker 1: shape and like build up all over it. So you
- 49:05Speaker 1: just got to make sure to tell your customers where
- 49:07Speaker 1: not to cut, right. I try to make as much
- 49:11Speaker 1: as possible edible on my cakes so that it's really
- 49:14Speaker 1: not just for lucks, but it is for taste well.
- 49:18Speaker 1: And that's really impressive. And also I just admire you
- 49:20Speaker 1: for during this hard time sort of pivoting your business
- 49:24Speaker 1: and going how do I how do we operate now
- 49:27Speaker 1: in this current world? And I think that's really impressive
- 49:29Speaker 1: that you've been successful at it. I really appreciate that
- 49:32Speaker 1: it was. It's definitely been crazy, but we have a
- 49:36Speaker 1: really supportive family and the people that already supported our
- 49:38Speaker 1: previous business that now jumped on board and we'll order
- 49:43Speaker 1: things for me on a regular basis and just kind
- 49:45Speaker 1: of keep us going because we are a family here
- 49:47Speaker 1: and we couldn't do it without their support. So I
- 49:51Speaker 1: have a question, when COVID's over, are you going to
- 49:53Speaker 1: go back into event planning and stuff like that again?
- 49:57Speaker 1: So I think that we're gonna sort of do um.
- 50:01Speaker 1: I'll probably do less, just because I do rely on
- 50:03Speaker 1: my husband so much for his help in in my business,
- 50:08Speaker 1: and and he relies on me for helping his business.
- 50:11Speaker 1: So I think that what we'll do is just kind
- 50:13Speaker 1: of dial back and do an even balance between the
- 50:17Speaker 1: two so that we can keep doing the things that
- 50:19Speaker 1: we're super passionate about together. That's I just think there's
- 50:22Speaker 1: something special about not only throwing the party, but you
- 50:25Speaker 1: don't have to go someplace else to get the cake.
- 50:27Speaker 1: What is the cake that you want? And then we
- 50:29Speaker 1: got you know what I mean, what's the theme at
- 50:30Speaker 1: a party? We're gonna theme the cake that way too. Yeah. Yeah,
- 50:33Speaker 1: that BB eight actually went to. We had a Star
- 50:36Speaker 1: Wars party for our events company and occasionally and in
- 50:40Speaker 1: the Baltimore one, I made too. We um occasionally and
- 50:43Speaker 1: just like I'll throw it together a cake to go
- 50:46Speaker 1: with a theme of the party. That we're having what
- 50:49Speaker 1: happens at a Star Wars party. I'm sure the two
- 50:51Speaker 1: at least two of these people want to know what
- 50:52Speaker 1: goes down, and I would love to know what happens
- 50:54Speaker 1: at a Star Wars. So our NERD parties, Um, we
- 50:57Speaker 1: generally do trivia session. So we had a Star Wars
- 51:02Speaker 1: thing trivia. We have a drink menu that's catered to
- 51:05Speaker 1: Star Wars and uh, we have costume contests and things
- 51:11Speaker 1: like that in karaoke, like that's that's our Nerd party.
- 51:14Speaker 1: So our Star Wars one, we had the movie shown
- 51:17Speaker 1: on the screens while everyone was partying. We had our menu. Um,
- 51:21Speaker 1: we had trivia and all of that stuff. So did
- 51:24Speaker 1: you have blue milk? We did have blue milk? Yeah,
- 51:28Speaker 1: we did, We absolutely did. I've been to the cantina
- 51:33Speaker 1: at Disney sorry Disney landy. Yeah, you've been to Galaxy's
- 51:37Speaker 1: Edge Galaxies at the restaurant, isn't it and spy or
- 51:44Speaker 1: something like that. It was gross? It was gross, No,
- 51:47Speaker 1: it wasn't. It was amazing. You take that back, Zachary Braff.
- 51:50Speaker 1: Listen the design of it, the set, design of the restaurant. School,
- 51:54Speaker 1: don't make me curse on it. Don't make me curse.
- 51:56Speaker 1: You're not telling you did any drink you had or
- 51:58Speaker 1: anything you ate was wildly edible or drinkable. It was
- 52:02Speaker 1: all edible and drinkable, and it was all very delicious.
- 52:08Speaker 1: That's how much you're drunk on the Star Wars cool
- 52:10Speaker 1: and you're like, that was the best food I've ever had.
- 52:12Speaker 1: It was fine. I didn't. I didn't say that. And
- 52:17Speaker 1: also they have a lot of watch your mouth, have
- 52:20Speaker 1: a lot of attitude in there too. Best watch your mouth.
- 52:27Speaker 1: You're going down the path that I can't follow you. Yeah, Zachary,
- 52:32Speaker 1: you're breaking my heart. All right, we gotta we gotta
- 52:46Speaker 1: keep moving, Holly, give a question for us. Anything I do,
- 52:49Speaker 1: I do? All right. So on my menu, I have
- 52:54Speaker 1: like cheesecakes and doughnuts and cakes and Simon rolls, like
- 53:00Speaker 1: all those things. And I want to know, I want
- 53:03Speaker 1: to know if you had an item on my menu
- 53:07Speaker 1: named after you. Yeah, what would it be and what
- 53:10Speaker 1: would it be called? Well, I would it because of
- 53:16Speaker 1: this podcast and how far we've come. I at one
- 53:20Speaker 1: point I had a donut machine and I got rid
- 53:25Speaker 1: of that donut. So if you were making donuts, I
- 53:29Speaker 1: would love for you to have Donnie's Donuts on your menu,
- 53:33Speaker 1: and it's and it's an assortment of little donut holes okay, chocolate,
- 53:39Speaker 1: powdered sugar, jelly, cinnamon, and maybe a little bit of
- 53:44Speaker 1: a sprinkles, sprinkles, Okay. I I like peanut butter anything.
- 53:53Speaker 1: Oh hell yeah? Um, so I would like a cupcake
- 53:58Speaker 1: okay that is peanut butter and chocolate in the spirit
- 54:01Speaker 1: of aese peanut butter cup but a cupcake. And then
- 54:05Speaker 1: and then there's some nuts on top, okay. And then
- 54:08Speaker 1: the title is put your nuts on me, Put your
- 54:11Speaker 1: nuts on me. I like that. I have made a
- 54:15Speaker 1: chocolate a chocolate cupcake filled with peanut butter pie filling. Yeah,
- 54:20Speaker 1: oh you have. Okay, here's where crops on me? I
- 54:25Speaker 1: like it. And here's the problem with put your nuts
- 54:27Speaker 1: on me? Not a lot of There's gonna be some
- 54:29Speaker 1: people that you're not gonna that are not gonna be
- 54:31Speaker 1: able to eat put your nuts on me? Why because
- 54:33Speaker 1: of the tree nut or the nut. They're not going
- 54:35Speaker 1: to order put your nuts on either. So I do.
- 54:39Speaker 1: My menu is like separated out into things that you
- 54:42Speaker 1: know they're clearly nuts and things and clearly not nuts
- 54:46Speaker 1: and things. But I do have a couple of peanut
- 54:47Speaker 1: butter items on my I don't think if you have
- 54:49Speaker 1: a peanut allergy you're going to order put your nuts
- 54:51Speaker 1: on me? Right? Hey, Donald? Right? But are you going
- 54:54Speaker 1: to make these? Because if so, I really want the people.
- 54:57Speaker 1: I want people to go to your website. Here, I
- 54:58Speaker 1: am going to make that. I'm what I mean that
- 55:02Speaker 1: they could be made to order. But listen to order, Okay, listen,
- 55:05Speaker 1: all right, everyone's gonna go to your website. Say say
- 55:07Speaker 1: your Instagram again, it's Maryland. Don't you like going to
- 55:14Speaker 1: the Sugar Drop MD on Instagram? Isn't it your favorite
- 55:16Speaker 1: thing to visit? You know where I love going za where?
- 55:19Speaker 1: I love going to the Sugar Drop m D. Yeah,
- 55:23Speaker 1: that's where I get. The first thing I do when
- 55:26Speaker 1: I go on Instagram is I look at Donald to
- 55:28Speaker 1: see if he's posted anything, and then I go right
- 55:30Speaker 1: to Sugar Drop m D. Well, you know if I
- 55:34Speaker 1: posted anything, If I posted anything, it's gotta be something
- 55:37Speaker 1: from Sugar Drop m D. Yup, yup. And you know
- 55:40Speaker 1: what I do. I go there and I like everything.
- 55:42Speaker 1: So I see that all my friends are gonna get
- 55:44Speaker 1: it in their feeds. I just blow it up with
- 55:46Speaker 1: likes not do I like? I like telling all of
- 55:49Speaker 1: my friends out there on my podcast with that I
- 55:52Speaker 1: host with Zach Braff and Joel and Daniel and we
- 55:55Speaker 1: have Allie Holly on today as one of our guests. Yeah,
- 55:58Speaker 1: I like to tell everybody out there about the Sugar
- 56:01Speaker 1: Drop MD Instagram site where you can go click the
- 56:06Speaker 1: lake and the bio which will take you to the
- 56:09Speaker 1: store and you can start buying you some of that
- 56:12Speaker 1: delicious Sugar Drop EMPD pastry. Okay, now listen, beautiful, listen everyone.
- 56:20Speaker 1: I think we should all give Sugar Drop Empty lots
- 56:24Speaker 1: of love because this family had to pivot and made
- 56:28Speaker 1: this business. And I really hope, really sincerely as supporters
- 56:32Speaker 1: of the show, if you're in the Baltimore area, that
- 56:34Speaker 1: you order all your exciting baked goods, your your cakes,
- 56:39Speaker 1: your your Joel shaped birthday cake, all from Hollyhock. All right,
- 56:50Speaker 1: Zach wants you to put you and put your nuts
- 56:51Speaker 1: on him. No, what I meant put your nuts on me? Right?
- 56:55Speaker 1: Is that what it was called? Right? Put your nuts
- 56:57Speaker 1: on me? Which is great because I have very penny
- 56:59Speaker 1: names to items good and I like a good pun.
- 57:04Speaker 1: Now it seems like you're fixing your own life. But
- 57:06Speaker 1: now it's time for America's favorite The World the Earth's
- 57:10Speaker 1: Favorite new segments, Your Life, Planet Earth's Favorite news segment, Holly,
- 57:17Speaker 1: It's time to fix your life. Okay, So, because I
- 57:25Speaker 1: work at home and my husband works at home and
- 57:29Speaker 1: sort of our businesses are all consuming, I need help
- 57:34Speaker 1: finding a better balance between my work life and home
- 57:38Speaker 1: life because I feel like it just never really ends.
- 57:41Speaker 1: Like some people have at nine to five and then
- 57:43Speaker 1: they're just done. And then I just feel like, right now,
- 57:48Speaker 1: it's really hard to shut that down and and separate.
- 57:55Speaker 1: Talking to the right fella, I know how you feel.
- 57:59Speaker 1: It's really interesting thing. I'm gonna be honest with you,
- 58:02Speaker 1: and when I say this, I don't want you to
- 58:04Speaker 1: get upset about it. But some days you just have
- 58:07Speaker 1: to take off and take a break and just say,
- 58:11Speaker 1: you know what, I'm not gonna I'm not gonna do
- 58:14Speaker 1: one of those things today. I'm not gonna have a
- 58:16Speaker 1: home life today, or I'm not gonna work today. Personally,
- 58:19Speaker 1: I would say I'm not gonna work today. Not having
- 58:21Speaker 1: a home life alienates your family and everything like that,
- 58:24Speaker 1: your kids and your husband. But some days you need
- 58:28Speaker 1: at least one. I mean, you're the boss of you,
- 58:31Speaker 1: You're the boss, So at least once a month, twice
- 58:34Speaker 1: a month, you guys should take a break for yourselves
- 58:37Speaker 1: and spend the day together. Yeah you know what I mean,
- 58:40Speaker 1: preferably on the weekend when the kids aren't I don't
- 58:43Speaker 1: know how old your kids are, but when they're not zooming,
- 58:45Speaker 1: or they're not in school or a class in class
- 58:48Speaker 1: or everything like that, and when your husband's not you know,
- 58:51Speaker 1: out and about delivering all of your baked delicious goods. Yeah, um,
- 58:56Speaker 1: do you have do you have the ability? I know, money,
- 58:59Speaker 1: I imagine is is tight because of the things you've
- 59:01Speaker 1: told us, But do you have the ability a family
- 59:03Speaker 1: member or someone who could baby sit for you? Guys?
- 59:05Speaker 1: Just see you guys could go off and just have
- 59:07Speaker 1: some scheduled me time. Well, we can, we can do that.
- 59:11Speaker 1: I mean, mine's my I only have one kid and
- 59:14Speaker 1: he's thirteen, so he's sort of self sufficient now. And you, oh,
- 59:19Speaker 1: he can stay home on his own now. So yeah,
- 59:21Speaker 1: why don't you guys? You guys, I know you're super busy, right,
- 59:23Speaker 1: it seems to me. And I'm I'm Donald, I I
- 59:27Speaker 1: you know, you weren't on the show yet, but he's
- 59:30Speaker 1: told me about how sometimes, you know, wishes he was alone. Um,
- 59:35Speaker 1: it seems to me that you guys should schedule not
- 59:39Speaker 1: alone wishes I was alone with my wife. Yeah, right,
- 59:42Speaker 1: sorry me without his wife. Um. It seems to me
- 59:46Speaker 1: if you could, if you could put it in the
- 59:47Speaker 1: an account. You're just like you schedule everything else, you guys, know,
- 59:49Speaker 1: especially since you've a thirteen year old and he can
- 59:51Speaker 1: be on his own, that you guys go. I know
- 59:53Speaker 1: it's hard to go places, but I don't know what
- 59:55Speaker 1: it's like in Baltimore, but here it's not many places
- 59:57Speaker 1: you can go, but at least that you have something schedule.
- 1:00:00Speaker 1: So it's just as important in your schedule as as
- 1:00:02Speaker 1: your appointment to talk to a new client. Is. You
- 1:00:05Speaker 1: know that you two are going to go do that
- 1:00:06Speaker 1: this this time each week. Yeah, the calendar is important, yes,
- 1:00:12Speaker 1: And if there's room and the calendar calendar to be spontaneous,
- 1:00:16Speaker 1: take that. Take that opportunity, you know what I mean.
- 1:00:18Speaker 1: If there is a bit of time that you guys
- 1:00:20Speaker 1: can have to yourself and it wasn't something that was scheduled,
- 1:00:24Speaker 1: take that opportunity. Also, it's really fun if you surprise
- 1:00:27Speaker 1: the person, like you know that they don't have something
- 1:00:30Speaker 1: to do, or you can if you want to, if
- 1:00:31Speaker 1: you have to book them because your husband's super busy.
- 1:00:33Speaker 1: You could say, hey, I'm not even telling you, but
- 1:00:36Speaker 1: Saturday at one to three, don't do anything because I
- 1:00:39Speaker 1: have I have something I figured out, Like I love
- 1:00:42Speaker 1: doing that stuff. And then then then then then you
- 1:00:44Speaker 1: start looking for you even more because the fun of
- 1:00:46Speaker 1: surprising the person with whatever random shit you put together. Yeah,
- 1:00:49Speaker 1: I love pining together a surprise. Yeah. Yeah. You plan parties,
- 1:00:52Speaker 1: so you know, like you could like yeah, and it
- 1:00:54Speaker 1: doesn't be big. It could literally be like I packed
- 1:00:56Speaker 1: a cooler full of beers and we're going to the
- 1:00:58Speaker 1: beach or we're going to the park or whatever. I mean,
- 1:01:00Speaker 1: you could be it could be minimal. But it's just
- 1:01:02Speaker 1: like a thing that you plan that he knows nothing about.
- 1:01:05Speaker 1: And you're you're in Baltimore. You said that, you know what,
- 1:01:08Speaker 1: you know what's great about Baltimore in the Maryland area
- 1:01:11Speaker 1: just in general, the no the crabs. They have this
- 1:01:15Speaker 1: huge crab population that it's like, you know, to come
- 1:01:18Speaker 1: in a big it's like five crabs in a brown
- 1:01:20Speaker 1: paper bag and you freaking got a mallet and you
- 1:01:23Speaker 1: smash the shit out of them and eat crab. Me
- 1:01:25Speaker 1: you're saying they should just killed crabs for fun. No,
- 1:01:28Speaker 1: the crabs are already dead. They don't got to kill
- 1:01:30Speaker 1: the crab. Somebody else to do that fun. I grew up,
- 1:01:32Speaker 1: I grew up catching them. Yeah. Yeah, you know what
- 1:01:35Speaker 1: I mean. You're you're in You're in a place that
- 1:01:39Speaker 1: you can be as adventurous as you want to be.
- 1:01:43Speaker 1: You just have to be willing to do it. But
- 1:01:44Speaker 1: also it doesn't have to be I find some of
- 1:01:46Speaker 1: the most fun things we do. It doesn't have to
- 1:01:48Speaker 1: be some elaborate plan. I mean, it's just like something
- 1:01:51Speaker 1: you don't normally do. Yeah, you know, we went for
- 1:01:54Speaker 1: like an epic hike in Malibu this weekend with the dog.
- 1:01:58Speaker 1: I just lost my dogs, kind of like, let's get
- 1:02:00Speaker 1: out there and and and do something out of the
- 1:02:03Speaker 1: norm to get our minds off of it we want on.
- 1:02:05Speaker 1: This epic hike in Malibu. Didn't cost a dime. It's
- 1:02:08Speaker 1: just just a new experience and it was fun and
- 1:02:11Speaker 1: it was beautiful, and it was like it was like
- 1:02:13Speaker 1: a new thing, Like all right, let's just not do
- 1:02:15Speaker 1: our same shit every fucking weekend. Let's just do something
- 1:02:17Speaker 1: new and different. And yeah, I think that that's really
- 1:02:20Speaker 1: good for our brains, especially now in this in this
- 1:02:23Speaker 1: crazy well. And you got to work out out of
- 1:02:25Speaker 1: it too, so you definitely didn't and then you got it,
- 1:02:27Speaker 1: and then you got endorphins and then you just yeah,
- 1:02:31Speaker 1: do you have hikes in Baltimore? Yeah, yeah, we have.
- 1:02:34Speaker 1: We're about anybody know. That's the dumbest question ever. Not
- 1:02:41Speaker 1: I didn't mean. I didn't mean. First of all, she's
- 1:02:44Speaker 1: not in the city. I don't know if she's in
- 1:02:45Speaker 1: the city. And second of all, I don't know what
- 1:02:47Speaker 1: the fucking elevation is in Baltimore. They got New York City.
- 1:02:53Speaker 1: I didn't mean on flat land, asked nose. I met
- 1:02:56Speaker 1: like a hike up the fucking mountain. To listen an listen,
- 1:03:04Speaker 1: cock eye lips, cock eye lips, listen. All the high
- 1:03:11Speaker 1: kids is moving your feet through a section of anywhere.
- 1:03:16Speaker 1: But my reference, my reference was the fucking mountains in Malibu.
- 1:03:19Speaker 1: Dick knows, Oh my god, dude, to face, all right,
- 1:03:23Speaker 1: you need to get off of them. Embarrassing this in
- 1:03:25Speaker 1: front of Holly Hug. You're embarrassing yourself, Dick Lick, You're
- 1:03:29Speaker 1: not gonna get any mind, Joel kick all right, Holly,
- 1:03:35Speaker 1: it sounds like it's time to say you're welcome. You
- 1:03:38Speaker 1: are so welcome here, thank you, thank you for coming
- 1:03:44Speaker 1: on the show. And um, and I think you can
- 1:03:46Speaker 1: stay all the end because we did it. Donald, there's
- 1:03:48Speaker 1: nothing else to say about this. We we love some
- 1:03:50Speaker 1: of them a little bit more than others. We gotta
- 1:03:51Speaker 1: be honest, Um, this one was was just okay, but
- 1:03:54Speaker 1: we had some laughs still, right, Donald, we had some
- 1:03:56Speaker 1: great We had some great moments in this show. Uh.
- 1:04:00Speaker 1: And you know, unfortunately for everyone out there, this wasn't
- 1:04:05Speaker 1: Zach's favorite episode. And that's just it. It's a subjective,
- 1:04:08Speaker 1: it's it's it's it's okay. Yeah, Zach didn't like it.
- 1:04:12Speaker 1: And also, Zach is the reason why we're going to
- 1:04:15Speaker 1: one a week. So on that note, I just want
- 1:04:17Speaker 1: to say, listen, we're only going to one a week
- 1:04:20Speaker 1: for a little while. While Uncle Zach za okay. Lawrence
