  Speaker 1: to reach the listener's hearts and their minds, and be

  Speaker 1: able to apply these verses to their lives. And the

  Speaker 1: Lord Jesus Christ name, I pray a men. So we're

  Speaker 1: gonna be in Matthew chapter sixteen tonight. If you wanna

  Speaker 1: encourage so Matthew chapter sixteen, and the title states the

  Speaker 1: Pharisees again asked to see a miracle. Verse one. Some
• 0:43
  Speaker 1: Pharisees and Saddussis went to see Jesus. They wanted to
• 0:48
  Speaker 1: test him to see what he would do. They asked him,
• 0:52
  Speaker 1: do a miracle for us to see, then we will
• 0:55
  Speaker 1: know that God has sent you. Jesus answered them, Sometimes
• 1:01
  Speaker 1: the sky is red in the evening, then you say
• 1:05
  Speaker 1: tomorrow the weather will be good. Sometimes in the morning
• 1:08
  Speaker 1: the sky is red and there are dark clouds. Then
• 1:11
  Speaker 1: you say, today will be a storm. So you look
• 1:17
  Speaker 1: at the sky and you know what the weather will be.

  Speaker 1: But special things are happening now, and Jesus is talking
• 1:25
  Speaker 1: about now that he is around, and you do not
• 1:29
  Speaker 1: understand what they mean. Verse four. The people who are
• 1:34
  Speaker 1: alive today are very wicked. They do not obey God.
• 1:40
  Speaker 1: They want God to show them something powerful, but God
• 1:44
  Speaker 1: will not do this for them. They will only see
• 1:51
  Speaker 1: the same powerful thing that God did for Jonah. Then
• 1:56
  Speaker 1: Jesus went away and left them. Imagine how to be
• 2:00
  Speaker 1: just told that right? They wanted They wanted to see
• 2:04
  Speaker 1: a miracle. They wanted to see that Jesus could do
• 2:09
  Speaker 1: it on the spot, right, And they wanted to have
• 2:14
  Speaker 1: confirmation in a sense, right because they've heard about Jesus
• 2:25
  Speaker 1: by this point obviously, and hearing of the miracles, hearing
• 2:33
  Speaker 1: of the pro the pro claiming statements that he has
• 2:39
  Speaker 1: already made by this point, right, they needed to see
• 2:47
  Speaker 1: in order to believe. And that kind of faith is
• 2:52
  Speaker 1: not what Jesus came here to represent or to boast
• 2:58
  Speaker 1: in his abilities. He really cared and still cares the
• 3:03
  Speaker 1: same amount for whether there are people that are sinners
• 3:09
  Speaker 1: or people that are believers, ple people that are followers.
• 3:14
  Speaker 1: His love is everlasting. His love never changes unlike ours. Right,
• 3:19
  Speaker 1: we as human beings, the way that we use love
• 3:26
  Speaker 1: is not the same way that Jesus uses his love. Right.
• 3:32
  Speaker 1: I wanna make this clear, the Holy Spirit, that kind
• 3:37
  Speaker 1: of love cannot be matched. Doesn't matter how much of
• 3:41
  Speaker 1: a loving person you are, you still fall, you still
• 3:44
  Speaker 1: fall short of God's standards, and you're not Jesus and
• 3:50
  Speaker 1: you are imperfect. Does not matter how much money you
• 3:54
  Speaker 1: have in your account, how many houses you have, material things.
• 3:59
  Speaker 1: You know, and forgive me in advance for what I'm
• 4:05
  Speaker 1: about to say. You can put makeup on poop, but
• 4:11
  Speaker 1: poop is still poop at the end of the day,
• 4:14
  Speaker 1: you know. And that's not an aim towards anybody in particular.

  Speaker 1: That's not saying that I am completely in all aspects

  Speaker 1: qualified to even not only just judge right. But that's

  Speaker 1: why I do these Bible studies as well. It is
• 4:40
  Speaker 1: for the listeners. I am one of those listeners. That's
• 4:43
  Speaker 1: why I stated in the beginning in prayer, Lord Father
• 4:48
  Speaker 1: that arts in heaven, I come to you in prayer
• 4:51
  Speaker 1: to be able to have the Holy Spirit be able
• 4:53
  Speaker 1: to speak through this mic reach the listener's ears and
• 4:56
  Speaker 1: their hearts and their minds, to be able to apply
• 4:58
  Speaker 1: these verses to their lives. In the Lord Jesus Christ name,

  Speaker 1: I pray. Amen, I'm also doing it for me. So

  Speaker 1: I don't boast in myself. I don't need to boast
• 5:11
  Speaker 1: in my ego. I don't need to boast in my faith.

  Speaker 1: All I need to do is boast in the Holy Spirit,
• 5:17
  Speaker 1: boast in Jesus, and boasts in what God is doing
• 5:20
  Speaker 1: in my life. Amen. So as we carry on, Jesus
• 5:25
  Speaker 1: warns about the Pharisees and the seducas saiduss, I'm probably
• 5:31
  Speaker 1: not pronouncing it right, but that's okay. It's my show.

  Speaker 1: Let me go, Ah forgive me. Verse five. Jesus and
• 5:37
  Speaker 1: his disciples sailed over to the other side of the lake.

  Speaker 1: His disciples forgot to take any bread with him with
• 5:45
  Speaker 1: them verse six, And we're on Matthew chapter sixteen. Verse six.

  Speaker 1: Jesus said to them, be careful, do not accept the
• 5:52
  Speaker 1: yeast of the Pharisees. Verse seven. The disciples began to
• 5:56
  Speaker 1: talk to each other about this. They said Jesus is
• 5:59
  Speaker 1: saying this because we did not bring any bread with us.
• 6:03
  Speaker 1: Verse a. Jesus knew that they were talking what they
• 6:07
  Speaker 1: were talking about, so he said to them, you should
• 6:11
  Speaker 1: not be arguing with each other about the bread. You
• 6:14
  Speaker 1: should trust me more than you do. Verse nine. You
• 6:18
  Speaker 1: still do not understand. You should remember that I use
• 6:22
  Speaker 1: five loaves of bread to feed five thousand men. Think
• 6:26
  Speaker 1: about how many baskets you will I'm sorry you filled
• 6:31
  Speaker 1: with pieces of food after the meal. Also remember that
• 6:37
  Speaker 1: I use seven loaves of bread to give food to
• 6:39
  Speaker 1: four thousand men, And think about how many baskets you
• 6:43
  Speaker 1: filled with pieces of food that time. This is real
• 6:47
  Speaker 1: deep because Jesus is reminding his disciples who he is.
• 6:52
  Speaker 1: And that's how how forgetful we as human beings can be,
• 6:59
  Speaker 1: forgetting what not only God Jesus in the Holy Spirit
• 7:02
  Speaker 1: does for us, and as a non believer, realizing how
• 7:08
  Speaker 1: much has already been done for us, or we tend
• 7:12
  Speaker 1: to remember the wrong that has been done to us
• 7:17
  Speaker 1: more than the right. And I understand there's a lot
• 7:21
  Speaker 1: of emotional attachment to that when things that have been
• 7:25
  Speaker 1: done wrong, and you know, all of us have a
• 7:28
  Speaker 1: story and some have it better than others, some have
• 7:32
  Speaker 1: it worse than others. But at the end of the day,
• 7:36
  Speaker 1: where I'm getting at with this is that we tend
• 7:40
  Speaker 1: to forget as human beings how grateful we should be.
• 7:51
  Speaker 1: And what I love about these reminders and these verses
• 7:58
  Speaker 1: that Jesus is referring to is feeding people. We all
• 8:05
  Speaker 1: need to eat in order to survive. But with these
• 8:12
  Speaker 1: times where God was not only doing a miracle right
• 8:16
  Speaker 1: by feeding the masses, he was also preaching and teaching,
• 8:26
  Speaker 1: and that speaks volumes right. And when we get into
• 8:29
  Speaker 1: verse eleven, I want you to keep an open mind
• 8:33
  Speaker 1: and keep an open mind about We're not just talking
• 8:36
  Speaker 1: about food here verse eleven. I spoke to you about
• 8:38
  Speaker 1: the yeasts of the Pharisees and sadusas I said that
• 8:44
  Speaker 1: you must not accept it. You shouldn't. You should understand
• 8:48
  Speaker 1: now that I was not speaking about bread. Let's get
• 8:55
  Speaker 1: deeper verse twelve. Then the disciples understood what Jesus was
• 8:59
  Speaker 1: talking about. They did not need to be careful about
• 9:02
  Speaker 1: the yeast that they used in their bread. Instead, they
• 9:07
  Speaker 1: must be careful about what the Pharisees and Siduces were teaching.

  Speaker 1: They must not accept it. These religious leaders, these Pharisees,
• 9:17
  Speaker 1: right were, I don't want to put a domination on it.

  Speaker 1: I don't. I don't have that kind of hate in
• 9:31
  Speaker 1: my heart for religion because I honestly feel as if
• 9:39
  Speaker 1: there's good intentions with religious organizations, but there's also corruption
• 9:48
  Speaker 1: in those organizations. And no matter how clean your house is,
• 9:59
  Speaker 1: and I'm not talking about your actual house, there is
• 10:03
  Speaker 1: an acceptance right and an exception for some of these
• 10:09
  Speaker 1: churches to take in certain people because it is a
• 10:11
  Speaker 1: hospital for sinners. One of the main reasons why I
• 10:15
  Speaker 1: love to go to church is the worship because it
• 10:18
  Speaker 1: gets me out of myself. It gets me away from
• 10:22
  Speaker 1: what not as only bothering me, but what is trying
• 10:27
  Speaker 1: to attack me. And it also spiritually equips me to
• 10:33
  Speaker 1: know that the Holy Spirit. Every time that I worship Jesus,
• 10:37
  Speaker 1: singing the songs, really getting into it, raising my hand,
• 10:42
  Speaker 1: it's equipping me with the tools I need to survive
• 10:48
  Speaker 1: in this very very cold world. But we get into
• 10:53
  Speaker 1: verse twelve, right, and the disciples are starting to understand
• 11:00
  Speaker 1: when we get into how we're gonna close out here
• 11:03
  Speaker 1: and let me just make sure something. Yeah, we still
• 11:06
  Speaker 1: got a little bit of time so not accepting the
• 11:11
  Speaker 1: Pharisees teachings right, and Jesus is reminding his disciples who
• 11:19
  Speaker 1: he is. Right, Peter says that Jesus is the Messiah
• 11:24
  Speaker 1: Verse thirteen. Jesus went into the part of the country
• 11:29
  Speaker 1: near Caesreel, Philippine where he was. While he was there,
• 11:34
  Speaker 1: he asked his disciples, when people talk about the Son
• 11:38
  Speaker 1: of Man, who do they say that he is? They replied,
• 11:43
  Speaker 1: Some people say that you were John the Baptist, other
• 11:46
  Speaker 1: people say that you are Elijah, and some other people
• 11:49
  Speaker 1: say that you are Jeremiah or another prophet of God.
• 11:55
  Speaker 1: This is where we'll close out. Jesus asked them, but
• 12:00
  Speaker 1: what do you think? Who do you say that I am?
• 12:05
  Speaker 1: See how Jesus is not concerned or he's trying to
• 12:12
  Speaker 1: apply to the reply right. I loved how Jesus did this,
• 12:18
  Speaker 1: because they reply some people right, they them, However, we
• 12:25
  Speaker 1: want to complex them and put them in ploy whatever. Right,
• 12:30
  Speaker 1: Jesus said, what do you think though? And this is
• 12:35
  Speaker 1: why having that relationship with Jesus is such a personal thing,
• 12:38
  Speaker 1: because he wants all of you, so he wants to
• 12:43
  Speaker 1: know what you actually think, feel, believe. Will you let him, though,
• 12:55
  Speaker 1: and as I got two minutes, two minutes to finish.

  Speaker 1: I am so grateful that my priority lists God's will, recovery,
• 13:13
  Speaker 1: AA significant other, my brother, and my mother does not
• 13:17
  Speaker 1: need to change. I am so grateful for the people
• 13:21
  Speaker 1: that are in my life, the people that exit my life.
• 13:26
  Speaker 1: I hope nothing but the best for them. I don't
• 13:29
  Speaker 1: wish on anything. I don't wish well. I don't wish
• 13:34
  Speaker 1: hell because wishy, wishy, wishy stuff is witchy, witchy, witchy stuff,
• 13:40
  Speaker 1: and warlock stuff not what I That's not how I roll.

  Speaker 1: I do what I can with the powers that have
• 13:48
  Speaker 1: been given to me. And I also sometimes just let
• 13:52
  Speaker 1: go and let go. And I'm just so grateful that
• 13:56
  Speaker 1: not only have I seen the Holy Spirit repair reli
• 14:00
  Speaker 1: relationships in my life, but also has giving me such
• 14:04
  Speaker 1: a sense of grace, joy purpose that not only benefits me,
• 14:10
  Speaker 1: it benefits everybody that's around me. And having someone outside
• 14:20
  Speaker 1: of God Jesus in the Holy Spirit to love and
• 14:23
  Speaker 1: be able to give the love that has been given
• 14:27
  Speaker 1: from the source is a blessing in itself. Being able
• 14:32
  Speaker 1: to do that and not be and not be so
• 14:40
  Speaker 1: let down if the energy isn't matched, right, I wanna
• 14:43
  Speaker 1: leave it at this. If you have loved ones, thank

  Speaker 1: God for them, because there's a lot of people out

  Speaker 1: here that don't have nobody. Keep that in mind. This
