- 0:27Hey, everybody. Good morning from the chicken
- 0:30coop. Today we're talking about
- 0:32activities that spark your spring cleaning mind.
- 0:37So as we get ready to shift from this deep winter freeze that
- 0:42everybody seems to be in and we know what's happening.
- 0:46We know there are Gray days. We know all of this is still
- 0:48taking place, but as we get ready to get out of it, there
- 0:52are some things that help a lot. And this, this particular day, I
- 0:56just want you to start thinking about what are two activities,
- 0:59just two that spark you, that make you feel.
- 1:03And when I use the word spark, I say they excite you, They make
- 1:06you feel, oh, that that moment of like, oh, could I do that?
- 1:09Oh, could that be exciting? Oh, what is that?
- 1:11So think about something that really makes you feel inspired,
- 1:17really makes you feel electric, makes you feel, you know, just
- 1:22awake. And if you are listening and you
- 1:24don't have something like that. And there are a couple people
- 1:27that I know for a fact listen that do not have that I want you
- 1:32to really think about what are those things that could light
- 1:35you up and it can be anything. Somebody asked me a couple weeks
- 1:41ago and we were talking about this in a session if it could be
- 1:44playing cards. And I said absolutely.
- 1:46It doesn't have to be a creative activity, it can just be an
- 1:49activity. So for instance, pickleball,
- 1:52Yes, definitely on the list. If that spark that sparks a lot
- 1:56of people and they get very excited about it.
- 1:57So yes, pickleball is something that can be an absolutely
- 2:01wonderful thing and you can put it in the activity list of it
- 2:05sparks me. I love it.
- 2:06I love the way it makes me feel. I love the way I get to hang out
- 2:09with other people. Fantastic.
- 2:12It doesn't have to just be a creative endeavor.
- 2:14And I know when I talk on here sometimes I talk about creative
- 2:18endeavors a lot. No, I I often do that because
- 2:21that's me and that's my stuff that I go to.
- 2:23But it could be playing cards, it could be pickleball, it could
- 2:26be a sport that you want to start taking up.
- 2:29It could be swimming. If that excites you, it could be
- 2:33something on that side of it. I personally don't think about
- 2:36those things that much because they're not my go to things.
- 2:40I've never been that kid. I've always been the kid that's
- 2:42the more artsy 1, so I'm going to naturally gravitate there.
- 2:46But you can pick anything you want.
- 2:48Again, it doesn't matter. It could be the reading, it
- 2:51could be the knitting. It could be like, OK, you knit,
- 2:55you're a knitter, but you want to be a needle pointer or vice
- 2:58versa. It could be that you just want
- 3:00to learn to sew. I mean, learning to sew in
- 3:02itself is such a my grandmother was a seamstress and I never had
- 3:06the privilege of knowing her, and that always made me sad that
- 3:10I never got to know her. She passed before I was born,
- 3:14but it always excited me that she could, like, make clothes
- 3:18out of nothing she could pick up.
- 3:19My father would tell me stories about how she could pick up
- 3:22remnants of fabric and she would see something and she'd say, oh,
- 3:26I know I could do this with it. And he'd say I'd watch her make
- 3:28a shirt. And I would have thought,
- 3:30there's no way she can make a shirt out of this pile of crap.
- 3:33But she would. And I just love.
- 3:36I get goosebumps just talking about it.
- 3:38Because she took something from like, nothing and she turned it
- 3:42into something beautiful. That is what I'm talking about.
- 3:46That's a spark. That's something there.
- 3:48Now, did she think it was a spark?
- 3:50I don't know. But I look at it and I think
- 3:53it's a spark. So here's the here's the the
- 3:56trick with this again, it can be anything.
- 3:59And what you have to do is stop yourself judgment in the
- 4:03process. So what typically happens?
- 4:06You'll start thinking about something.
- 4:07You go, no, that's not good enough.
- 4:09Well, the first of all, it can be completely good enough.
- 4:12Yesterday I was sitting looking at my vehicle, my truck, and my
- 4:17farm truck is dirty because I haul stuff around.
- 4:21I'm constantly moving bales of hay and straw and, you know,
- 4:27food for the animals and dirt bags.
- 4:30And yesterday I picked up a bunch of worm compost.
- 4:34I know that sounds crazy, but I did and it it's always dirty.
- 4:38So I was like, you know what? I want to go out and really
- 4:40clean my truck. And I knew it was going to take.
- 4:43I didn't even get to finish it all because I ended up having to
- 4:46leave and go to dinner, but I got some of the inside done and
- 4:49it was such a great feeling and that sparked me.
- 4:52So that whole idea of what sparks you, It doesn't even have
- 4:57to be a long term thing, it can just be short things.
- 5:00But look for the spark and start to figure out what do I want to
- 5:04put in there. Two activities, each like they
- 5:09are different is ideal so that they're two different parts of
- 5:12your brain. Look for two different types of
- 5:14of ideas and then work them. Because I promise you, you will
- 5:18feel so much better when you do. OK, my friends, I will see you
- 5:22tomorrow. Have a blessed day.
- 5:24Bye.
