- 0:00Speaker 1: Well, that's frightening. It's one more Thing. I'm strong and
- 0:03Speaker 1: getty a bit of a different One More Thing podcast today.
- 0:11Speaker 1: We don't usually do breaking news for obvious reasons, because
- 0:13Speaker 1: this is not the radio show. This is a podcast
- 0:15Speaker 1: that you'll be listening to. I don't know when in
- 0:18Speaker 1: my future, later today, tomorrow, next week, five years from now.
- 0:21Speaker 1: That'd be kind of weird five years from now. But emotionally,
- 0:25Speaker 1: we're all reacting to these pictures that the Sheriff's department
- 0:28Speaker 1: there in Tucson just released, apparently the doorcam thing. I
- 0:34Speaker 1: was able to get some images of the scumbag that
- 0:38Speaker 1: abducted Savannah Guthrie's mom, Nancy Guthrie at the home, and
- 0:42Speaker 1: they've released the pictures now, and you know, we're there
- 0:45Speaker 1: was some speculation. Actually I heard, who's the guy that
- 0:48Speaker 1: went to work for the FBI and is back to
- 0:50Speaker 1: doing the podcast now, Bongino. I heard Bongino, and you
- 0:55Speaker 1: know he's got experience in this. He was on Sean
- 0:57Speaker 1: Hannity last night and he gave three different situations that
- 1:00Speaker 1: could have happened, like professional kidnappers with a plan. He
- 1:05Speaker 1: didn't think it was that somebody committing some sort of
- 1:09Speaker 1: half assed kidnapping who wasn't very good at it. And
- 1:12Speaker 1: then three something completely different, like they broke into the
- 1:16Speaker 1: house and she found him and they accidentally killed her
- 1:19Speaker 1: or whatever something like that. But looking at these images
- 1:24Speaker 1: now that they've just put out to describe him, it's
- 1:26Speaker 1: a guy in a mask, like a ski mask, straight
- 1:31Speaker 1: out of a freaking horror film. I mean, just like
- 1:34Speaker 1: it was designed by Hollywood to be scary. Black gloves,
- 1:38Speaker 1: black gloves. He's wearing a boxing glove, which I guess
- 1:42Speaker 1: he's swinging at the camera. Is what this picture is?
- 1:45Speaker 1: Is that how he broke the camera wearing a boxing glove. Oh,
- 1:48Speaker 1: that explains that. Okay, that's a pretty clever idea to
- 1:50Speaker 1: not cut your hands up with metal or glass or whatever.
- 1:54Speaker 1: You wear a big thick boxing glove and then smash
- 1:56Speaker 1: out the camera. And then he's got some sort of
- 2:00Speaker 1: weird material in his other hand that he holds up
- 2:03Speaker 1: to the camera. I have no idea what's going on there.
- 2:05Speaker 2: Well, I think Katie said it looks like a DreamCatcher.
- 2:08Speaker 2: That's a native American art form thingy.
- 2:12Speaker 1: It does look like that. It's hard to explain why
- 2:14Speaker 1: you would have that.
- 2:14Speaker 3: It could have been. I don't know.
- 2:16Speaker 4: Looking at it, it kind of looks like there might have
- 2:17Speaker 4: been a plant somewhere.
- 2:19Speaker 1: Like, Oh, I wonder if you had at the door.
- 2:21Speaker 1: I wonder if you had to take that down to
- 2:22Speaker 1: get to the camera or something something like that. Maybe
- 2:24Speaker 1: that explains that. But man, the images are you're well,
- 2:31Speaker 1: you're like the sort of thing you'd see if you're
- 2:33Speaker 1: having a nightmare about Yeah. Yeah, And the idea of
- 2:36Speaker 1: that poor woman confronting that half asleep in her bedroom,
- 2:40Speaker 1: because there's another picture of him just standing there and
- 2:44Speaker 1: oh my god, horrible, horrible situation. I don't remember ever
- 2:49Speaker 1: seeing anything like this before in my life, do you.
- 2:52Speaker 1: I don't know if I've ever seen any images like this.
- 2:54Speaker 1: For some reason, did they not usually release this sort
- 2:56Speaker 1: of thing?
- 3:00Speaker 2: No, I just an offender wearing a mask, And.
- 3:05Speaker 1: I don't know. Maybe it's just the uniqueness of him
- 3:08Speaker 1: staring right at the camera with his face up so
- 3:10Speaker 1: close to it.
- 3:10Speaker 2: Well, yeah, it's a close up from a ring. It's
- 3:15Speaker 2: a nest camera, I think, I am.
- 3:17Speaker 4: I'm also wondering how the hell it took what not?
- 3:21Speaker 4: Are we on day nine or ten days to get
- 3:23Speaker 4: these released?
- 3:24Speaker 1: I would like to hear the explanation of that, Why
- 3:28Speaker 1: when did they get them? And then was there a
- 3:32Speaker 1: reason they held on to him as long as they did?
- 3:34Speaker 2: Yeah, I remember hearing that they were working to get
- 3:37Speaker 2: them from the company that that the devices were from
- 3:41Speaker 2: because she'd let her subscription lapse. But they thought that
- 3:46Speaker 2: they could steal something something, and who knows, there's misreporting
- 3:50Speaker 2: and all. I don't know if that's sure. That might
- 3:52Speaker 2: have been part of it. I don't know.
- 3:53Speaker 1: So maybe we got them as soon as they could
- 3:56Speaker 1: be gotten. I don't know. It certainly seems like it's
- 3:59Speaker 1: the sort of thing you would have won wanted to
- 4:00Speaker 1: release immediately, immediately because there's always the chance. I mean,
- 4:04Speaker 1: there doesn't look like there's anything to get from looking
- 4:06Speaker 1: at this picture. He's wearing a jacket, pants, shoes, gloves,
- 4:10Speaker 1: and a mask where I don't even think you can
- 4:13Speaker 1: tell the race of the person, can you. I can't, No, no, And.
- 4:17Speaker 2: You know, unless there's some peculiarity about his eyeballs that
- 4:20Speaker 2: I didn't pick up on, it could be you know,
- 4:23Speaker 2: your brother, and you wouldn't know it.
- 4:24Speaker 1: But it is possible that that's the outfit some dude
- 4:29Speaker 1: wears regularly you know, not the mask, but the jacket
- 4:32Speaker 1: and pants, backpack. True, just the way they stand.
- 4:38Speaker 3: Yeah, well worth releasing.
- 4:40Speaker 2: I'm not arguing against that. I'm just saying that they
- 4:42Speaker 2: don't seem to have a lot to go with, or
- 4:45Speaker 2: there's not a lot to get from it, but might
- 4:47Speaker 2: be enough. Well.
- 4:48Speaker 4: And I'm also wondering if they only have stills, maybe
- 4:51Speaker 4: they're still holding onto a video because the way a
- 4:54Speaker 4: person moves you can tell a lot from that.
- 4:57Speaker 1: Yeah, we don't. I don't remember what case it was.
- 4:59Speaker 1: We learned this many many years ago. But everybody has
- 5:02Speaker 1: a very unique walk.
- 5:03Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 5:03Speaker 1: The FBI uses walks to identify people all the time,
- 5:06Speaker 1: which I'd never heard of before.
- 5:08Speaker 4: But and that camera's got a straight shot on the
- 5:10Speaker 4: walkway up there.
- 5:12Speaker 1: Yeah, I would note I would be able to identify
- 5:15Speaker 1: a lot of people's walks. But that is one of
- 5:21Speaker 1: the more disturbing things I've ever seen, just I guess
- 5:25Speaker 1: because of knowing what's about to happen.
- 5:27Speaker 2: Yeah. Yeah, and it's the face of evil. Yeah, it's
- 5:33Speaker 2: the reality of evil in the world. It's disturbing.
- 5:39Speaker 4: Now I'm looking at the post that Cash Patel put out,
- 5:44Speaker 4: and it says new images showing an armed individual appearing.
- 5:48Speaker 4: So I'm wondering where they're seeing a weapon of any
- 5:51Speaker 4: fashion because I don't see them in these pictures, which
- 5:54Speaker 4: makes me think that there's more.
- 5:58Speaker 2: Yeah, I didn't notice anything either.
- 6:00Speaker 1: Are these this That is a good question. Do your
- 6:03Speaker 1: ring cams do any of them take still pictures or
- 6:06Speaker 1: are they all videos?
- 6:08Speaker 3: Mine? Just mine? I have ring and it's it's all video.
- 6:12Speaker 1: Yeah. Everything I'm aware of is a video. I don't
- 6:14Speaker 1: know of any that take intermittent Yeah, still pictures.
- 6:18Speaker 4: And the ring camera and I don't have nests, so
- 6:21Speaker 4: I'm not familiar with that. But the ring camera, I
- 6:23Speaker 4: know the second there's even anything within where it can
- 6:27Speaker 4: pick up, it starts right.
- 6:29Speaker 1: So even if there were even if it took pictures
- 6:32Speaker 1: every tenth of a second, you'd have pictures of him
- 6:34Speaker 1: getting closer. Yeah, So I wonder why. That's a good
- 6:37Speaker 1: question too. I'm sure we'll get answers to this. And
- 6:39Speaker 1: there's the very I'm not claiming there's anything nefarious going
- 6:44Speaker 1: on here. I just wonder why they haven't released the
- 6:46Speaker 1: video or more pictures.
- 6:48Speaker 2: If looks like he may have a gun holster in
- 6:50Speaker 2: his crotch area.
- 6:52Speaker 1: Oh yeah, what's he doing with that left hand there
- 6:56Speaker 1: in that one picture? Why's he got his hand like
- 6:59Speaker 1: right around on his crotch area? That wa he's holding
- 7:01Speaker 1: it like that. I don't know. They might be able
- 7:05Speaker 1: to zoom in on that better than us. So the
- 7:07Speaker 1: fact that the guy shows up masked like that with
- 7:10Speaker 1: a boxing glove on one hand and then some other
- 7:13Speaker 1: I've never seen a glove like that on his left hand.
- 7:16Speaker 1: It's like a boxing glove with fingers. It's like a
- 7:18Speaker 1: really thick glove.
- 7:21Speaker 3: Yeah, it looks like snowboarding gloves.
- 7:22Speaker 1: Oh okay, But does that lead you, Joe, to believe
- 7:26Speaker 1: that this guy is more closer to a pro than
- 7:29Speaker 1: an amateur loser.
- 7:31Speaker 2: I don't think you gotta be a pro to have
- 7:34Speaker 2: the very very basics of you know, I'm going to
- 7:37Speaker 2: put on a mask and wear gloves, and you know,
- 7:41Speaker 2: if I have to break glass, I want some good
- 7:43Speaker 2: thick gloves on. I don't know, because I really I
- 7:48Speaker 2: don't enjoy speculating about this. I really don't. But as
- 7:53Speaker 2: long as you've asked, is it conceivable it's somebody who
- 7:58Speaker 2: is semi competent in the arts of kidnapping? And the
- 8:01Speaker 2: old gal passed quickly after he took her, and he thought,
- 8:06Speaker 2: to hell with this, there's there's there's no win in
- 8:09Speaker 2: this one. I'm just going to dispose of the body
- 8:11Speaker 2: and disappear. Yeah, that's possible. I suppose.
- 8:13Speaker 1: I've always felt like that's the likely ending.
- 8:17Speaker 2: You would try to get a payday anyway. I mean,
- 8:19Speaker 2: because the history if kidnapping is, even if your victim dies,
- 8:23Speaker 2: you still try to get the payday. You come up
- 8:25Speaker 2: with some rationale not to provide proof of life, or
- 8:29Speaker 2: you provide you know, what looks to be proof of life,
- 8:32Speaker 2: which isn't and you still try to get that.
- 8:34Speaker 1: Or you get somebody desperate enough they're willing to take
- 8:36Speaker 1: a flyer on. Right, maybe you don't have them, but
- 8:39Speaker 1: I'm going to try it anyway. Yeah.
- 8:41Speaker 2: Right, you call and say, here's precisely what she's wearing,
- 8:44Speaker 2: here's the door I broke in. Uh, you know that
- 8:47Speaker 2: sort of stuff. I grabbed her in between the kitchen
- 8:49Speaker 2: and the blah blah blah. So they know you're legit
- 8:55Speaker 2: a monster, but a legit monster, Yeah, I don't know.
- 8:57Speaker 1: NBC is reporting the Guthries have seen the photos and
- 9:00Speaker 1: say they don't recognize the individual. Okay, I wouldn't assume
- 9:04Speaker 1: they do. If you're easily recognized in that outfit, you
- 9:10Speaker 1: did not do a good job of trying to conceal
- 9:12Speaker 1: your identity. You're right, everybody's calling it an armed individual.
- 9:15Speaker 1: So somewhere in that photo there is a weapon. I guess.
- 9:18Speaker 1: I'm not sure what difference that makes either. All I
- 9:22Speaker 1: know is that just the idea that she woke up
- 9:25Speaker 1: at some point and saw that masked face that's right
- 9:27Speaker 1: there in that photo is as about as frightening as
- 9:29Speaker 1: anything I can possibly imagine. Yeah, God, you could easily
- 9:33Speaker 1: die of a heart attack just from that. Holy cow.
- 9:38Speaker 1: Well be interesting to follow this throughout the day, with
- 9:41Speaker 1: the biggest question being, Okay, Hanson's just blown up the
- 9:44Speaker 1: photo for me, what is that in the middle there, Hanson,
- 9:48Speaker 1: what do you think that is? You think that's a gun?
- 9:50Speaker 1: You think that's clearly a gun? Oh, you're right now
- 9:53Speaker 1: that I look at it that way, Yeah, it's clearly
- 9:54Speaker 1: a gun. It's a wholester with a gun in it.
- 9:56Speaker 1: He's got right between his legs.
- 9:58Speaker 3: Oh, there's that video ptel Just the video. Yeah, there
- 10:02Speaker 3: it is.
- 10:02Speaker 1: The video has just been released, not the still photos.
- 10:05Speaker 3: Yeah, that is a holster.
- 10:06Speaker 1: You're right, yep, that's a gun and a holster.
- 10:08Speaker 4: Oh and you know, so it's not boxing gloves. He's
- 10:11Speaker 4: got two like snowboarding gloves on.
- 10:14Speaker 1: Uh look at that. So now he's wandering away. He
- 10:17Speaker 1: came up to the camera, he wandered away, he walked
- 10:20Speaker 1: back like he's looking to get something, grab something, a
- 10:23Speaker 1: rock or something.
- 10:24Speaker 2: Well, that could be an edit because I remember they
- 10:26Speaker 2: said he the next camera registered that it had been
- 10:31Speaker 2: damaged or broken, and it was twenty minutes later that
- 10:34Speaker 2: the guy came back, So he might might have been
- 10:36Speaker 2: waiting to see if somebody responded.
- 10:38Speaker 1: Right, Yeah, that's right, we did hear that. That is
- 10:40Speaker 1: a So that that's seems like a bit of a
- 10:43Speaker 1: pro move. Andy, come make a move on the ring camera,
- 10:47Speaker 1: then wait and see if anybody shows up.
- 10:49Speaker 4: And the DreamCatcher looking thing when he wanders away from
- 10:53Speaker 4: the camera, he picks he like rips off a piece
- 10:56Speaker 4: of a bush in her front yard, and I guess
- 10:58Speaker 4: he was going to use that kind of block it
- 10:59Speaker 4: while he.
- 11:01Speaker 3: Tampered with that.
- 11:03Speaker 1: God, that's horrifying to see that.
- 11:05Speaker 2: Because pro quote unquote, it could just be a jackass
- 11:09Speaker 2: that knows just enough to be dangerous, but it's clearly
- 11:12Speaker 2: a targeted kidnap it.
- 11:15Speaker 1: It is so horrifying to see the thing that you know,
- 11:19Speaker 1: every once in a while we imagine when we're you know,
- 11:22Speaker 1: imagining really awful things in the night.
- 11:24Speaker 3: I'm wondering if it was somebody that was there before.
- 11:28Speaker 4: I mean, it could be somebody that serviced the house
- 11:30Speaker 4: or something like that and found out who lives.
- 11:33Speaker 1: There, who knows certainly could And now he's taking the
- 11:36Speaker 1: branches and flowers that looks like and trying to put
- 11:38Speaker 1: them over the camera to block it because now it
- 11:43Speaker 1: is blocked. I don't know. Well, the interesting thing to
- 11:46Speaker 1: find out is going to be when did they get
- 11:48Speaker 1: this and what the experts are getting from the experts
- 11:53Speaker 1: are probably picking stuff up from this video that we
- 11:55Speaker 1: as amateurs are not. But oh my god, that is
- 11:58Speaker 1: about as chilling a thing as I can remember seeing.
- 12:03Speaker 1: I don't want my kids to see that, especially my
- 12:05Speaker 1: one that's got anxiety problems.
- 12:07Speaker 2: Oh, I keep it from him.
- 12:10Speaker 1: Uh maybe him, his brother will see it because he
- 12:13Speaker 1: takes enough media. But my my youngest who's got anxiety problems.
- 12:16Speaker 1: He he he has problems with taking a shower because
- 12:19Speaker 1: he feels like he hears noises anyway, like people trying
- 12:22Speaker 1: to get in or whatever. If he saw that video,
- 12:24Speaker 1: he won't sleep for a week. That is not a
- 12:26Speaker 1: good That is not a good video for anybody that
- 12:31Speaker 1: has anxiety around somebody breaking into their house. That's that's
- 12:34Speaker 1: like the worst thing your mind can create. Holy crap.
- 12:38Speaker 1: All right, Well, tune into the next Armstrong Ngetdy radio
- 12:41Speaker 1: show because we'll have the latest on it. Well, I
- 12:44Speaker 1: guess that's it.
