A deadly four-car pileup on K-96 west of Greenwich Road in Wichita claimed one life—53-year-old Robert Wayne Galloway, who wasn’t wearing a seat belt—after a lane change triggered a chain reaction crash. The Kia Optima’s overcorrection hit a Toyota Tacoma, which then veered into an eastbound Chevrolet Volt, followed by a Dodge Ram slamming into the Toyota. Three other drivers, ages 18, 32, and 42, escaped with varying injuries; some wore seat belts, others didn’t. Authorities are still investigating how the accident unfolded.
