- 0:00Speaker 1: Off the Bench with Jacob Hester and Matt Flynn.
- 0:03Speaker 2: Okay, here we go.
- 0:04Speaker 1: Where the plays get broken down and science gets denied.
- 0:07Speaker 2: Dude, they said I gotta come off the bench.
- 0:09Speaker 1: Hour two of Off the Bench, live from the Raising
- 0:12Speaker 1: Cane Studio.
- 0:33Speaker 3: All right, welcome.
- 0:36Speaker 1: Back in OTB.
- 1:01Speaker 4: River is all wet. Arroyo.
- 1:04Speaker 5: That means it's dry, right?
- 1:06Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 1:06Speaker 5: You taught me that.
- 1:07Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 1:07Speaker 4: It's not an arroyo.
- 1:11Speaker 2: How'd I say it?
- 1:13Speaker 5: Pretty good.
- 1:14Speaker 2: Arroyo. I don't know. You're somewhat ahead. All right.
- 1:18Speaker 3: October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month, and Ashner Health reminds
- 1:21Speaker 3: you that early detection can save lives. Many breast cancers
- 1:26Speaker 3: show no symptoms and are found through routine mammograms. Women
- 1:30Speaker 3: at average risk should begin annual screenings at age 40,
- 1:34Speaker 3: while those at higher risk may need to start.
- 1:36Speaker 4: A little bit earlier.
- 1:37Speaker 3: So don't put off your screening that could make all
- 1:39Speaker 3: the difference. Schedule your mammogram today through MyOshiner app or
- 1:43Speaker 3: visit them at Oshiner.org. Again, the MyOshiner app. You can
- 1:47Speaker 3: schedule your appointment, refill, prescriptions, all of that right there
- 1:50Speaker 3: on the app. Or you can go to Oshiner.org and
- 1:53Speaker 3: find out more information there.
- 1:54Speaker 2: Oshiner Health, where health leads.
- 2:00Speaker 3: We were talking about LSU's offense a little bit earlier,
- 2:03Speaker 3: and number one in the SEC, one of the top
- 2:05Speaker 3: teams in the country, over 500 yards per game. Last
- 2:11Speaker 3: year in the regular season, 12 games. Anybody want to
- 2:14Speaker 3: guess how many times they scored 30 points?
- 2:17Speaker 2: LSU?
- 2:18Speaker 4: LSU.
- 2:19Speaker 2: How many times they scored 30 points? 30 or more.
- 2:21Speaker 4: One time.
- 2:22Speaker 2: One time?
- 2:23Speaker 5: In the last season?
- 2:25Speaker 2: Last football season.
- 2:26Speaker 5: Oh, last football season.
- 2:27Speaker 2: Yeah. So 12 games. One time. One time's it.
- 2:32Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 2:32Speaker 2: It's one time. You might want to guess the opponent.
- 2:35Speaker 4: Yeah. It was a bad one.
- 2:38Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 2:39Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 2:39Speaker 6: It was down a level of competition.
- 2:41Speaker 4: Southeastern, right?
- 2:41Speaker 2: Yep.
- 2:43Speaker 3: You scored 56 in that game. The other scores for you, 17, 23, 20, 19, 20, 24, 25, 9, 23, 13. 13,
- 2:57Speaker 3: and then you did score in the bowl game. You
- 2:59Speaker 3: scored 35, but you still lost to Houston.
- 3:01Speaker 6: Wait, Jake, we obviously blew out Western Kentucky last year.
- 3:05Speaker 2: No, you scored 13. You won 13-10. Oh. Wait, we did? Yeah,
- 3:09Speaker 2: you won 13-10.
- 3:10Speaker 4: I'll block that one out.
- 3:11Speaker 2: In this season.
- 3:12Speaker 4: That was news to me that we played Houston in
- 3:14Speaker 4: a bowl game.
- 3:15Speaker 2: The Texas Bowl, you lost. The tight end just caught
- 3:19Speaker 2: another pass.
- 3:21Speaker 4: Good player. He actually was a good player.
- 3:23Speaker 2: Yeah, Kozuel, Tanner Kozuel.
- 3:26Speaker 3: In this season, you've played seven games, and you've scored
- 3:30Speaker 3: 30 or more six times. That's a nice little average, too. 51-45-24,
- 3:37Speaker 3: the only time he didn't against Ole Miss. 35 against
- 3:40Speaker 3: A & M. 63 against McNeese. 34 against Kentucky. 31
- 3:44Speaker 3: against Mississippi State. It's a completely different offense, and it's
- 3:53Speaker 3: been good all year, but it has a chance to
- 3:55Speaker 3: be great. Because your quarterback, Sam Leavitt, is getting better
- 3:59Speaker 3: and better and better, more comfortable. And one of the
- 4:04Speaker 3: things that needs to be pointed out more, and I'm
- 4:06Speaker 3: talking about everybody, not just this show, that show, whatever show,
- 4:10Speaker 3: he didn't have an offseason. And even though you've played
- 4:13Speaker 3: a lot of football, he led a team to the
- 4:15Speaker 3: college football playoff at Arizona State, when you don't have
- 4:18Speaker 3: an offseason, football's not like riding a bike. At least
- 4:23Speaker 3: it's not for me in my career. You miss, like,
- 4:27Speaker 3: three weeks of football. Like, you got to get back
- 4:30Speaker 3: into it, and it's like a slow buildup to get
- 4:32Speaker 3: back to where you were. All the things that you
- 4:35Speaker 3: build yourself to be, and you callous yourself through training
- 4:37Speaker 3: camps and spring practice, it is wild how quick you
- 4:41Speaker 3: can lose it.
- 4:42Speaker 2: It really is.
- 4:43Speaker 3: I mean, in a snap of a finger, it feels like,
- 4:46Speaker 3: and you built up for months and months and months.
- 4:48Speaker 2: So he didn't have an offseason. And even me, like,
- 4:53Speaker 2: you hand-waved that a little bit, but I do.
- 4:54Speaker 3: Think it matters because– Right now, you're starting to see
- 4:58Speaker 3: him get into his real stride. And you think no
- 5:02Speaker 3: spring practice kind of ease him into training camp. And
- 5:05Speaker 3: I think that had something to do with it because
- 5:07Speaker 3: he's playing at such a high level right now.
- 5:10Speaker 2: And he's athletic. He's a good player. He's a talented player.
- 5:13Speaker 3: So he was winning and gaining yards and making ooh
- 5:16Speaker 3: and ah plays, I think, with that. But you're starting
- 5:20Speaker 3: to see it slow down for him. And I think
- 5:22Speaker 3: that's just with more reps.
- 5:24Speaker 2: Being aware of the guys around you.
- 5:27Speaker 3: And if he plays like he did on Saturday, which
- 5:29Speaker 3: might have been the best we've seen him, then LSU
- 5:32Speaker 3: has an opportunity to continue to win and continue to
- 5:38Speaker 3: put themselves in the conversation.
- 5:39Speaker 2: Is it going to be easy? Absolutely not. Are you
- 5:42Speaker 2: playing some really good football teams? Absolutely.
- 5:45Speaker 3: But if you get the version of Sam Levitt that
- 5:47Speaker 3: you got on Saturday in Tiger Stadium, you can beat
- 5:50Speaker 3: anybody left on your schedule. Because that is high-level quarterback
- 5:54Speaker 3: play to me.
- 5:56Speaker 4: Yeah, he's improving every week. Now, I still think the
- 6:00Speaker 4: best he's looked is the game that he hurt his hamstring.
- 6:03Speaker 4: Like that second half of that game, he looked fantastic.
- 6:08Speaker 4: But this past week was his best complete game. Was
- 6:11Speaker 4: it perfect? No, absolutely not. It was not perfect, and
- 6:13Speaker 4: we were going through a lot of that on the
- 6:15Speaker 4: eye in the sky. We're taking a look at everything
- 6:17Speaker 4: in a deep dive. What I've been very encouraged about
- 6:22Speaker 4: with Sam Levitt is his ability.
- 6:25Speaker 2: To get better.
- 6:26Speaker 4: Now, I know the coaches are coaching him hard every week.
- 6:29Speaker 4: They got to be. There's still so much out there
- 6:36Speaker 4: for him to reach down and get. There's still so
- 6:39Speaker 4: much offense. I watched that film from this past weekend.
- 6:42Speaker 4: He played really good. They had some very good play designs.
- 6:46Speaker 4: There's still more out That is encouraging to me. And
- 6:51Speaker 4: he's getting better. Is he still playing a little bit fast?
- 6:53Speaker 2: Yes. Do I love his footwork on his drops all
- 6:56Speaker 2: the time? No, I don't.
- 6:58Speaker 4: He's got like a one step, then a little hop,
- 7:01Speaker 4: and he kind of hops backwards a little bit. You
- 7:04Speaker 4: don't want to play like a Jordan Love if you
- 7:05Speaker 4: don't have to, and he doesn't really have to. The
- 7:08Speaker 4: offensive line is getting better. I know there's still instances
- 7:11Speaker 4: where they give up rushes and they give up pressures
- 7:15Speaker 4: and things like that, and I don't love You know,
- 7:17Speaker 4: pass protections when they're pulling guards and stuff, which we're
- 7:20Speaker 4: going to continue to see. I have to get over
- 7:22Speaker 4: that personally. I got to get over that. But you're right.
- 7:26Speaker 4: In a world where this team has suffered some devastating
- 7:30Speaker 4: injuries and devastating losses on both sides of the ball,
- 7:35Speaker 4: hopefully on the offense we can get Trey Desbeck. Sam
- 7:40Speaker 4: has continuously improved his complete game. and his ability to
- 7:47Speaker 4: get through his progressions, his comfortability within the offense. I mean,
- 7:52Speaker 4: every time we run a pass play out of a
- 7:54Speaker 4: two-by-two set, it's going to be some version of, I
- 7:59Speaker 4: call it a progression with an option or progression with
- 8:01Speaker 4: an alert. You're going to have some sort of alert
- 8:03Speaker 4: to the left side or the right side, to one side,
- 8:05Speaker 4: and then you're going to have your true progression to
- 8:07Speaker 4: the other. And he is doing better at getting through
- 8:11Speaker 4: that read, that progression. Now, he is still fast. I
- 8:15Speaker 4: still want him to slow down just a little bit.
- 8:18Speaker 4: I want him to clean up his footwork a little bit.
- 8:20Speaker 4: But the ability that he has shown to beat people
- 8:22Speaker 4: with his arms, to beat people playing in the offense,
- 8:24Speaker 4: so much better. So many times this past weekend, got
- 8:28Speaker 4: through his progressions quickly, recognized they were playing shell coverage
- 8:31Speaker 4: or maybe just rushing three people, maybe just rushing four,
- 8:34Speaker 4: and then he got it to the check down. Then
- 8:36Speaker 4: you get six, seven, eight, nine. First play of the
- 8:38Speaker 4: game on offense, we get 10 yards on a swing
- 8:41Speaker 4: route where– He's got two people to the left. That's
- 8:43Speaker 4: his alert. Then he's got two people that regret like the,
- 8:46Speaker 4: the swing is technically the fifth guy. It gets to him.
- 8:48Speaker 4: It gets it to Dylan Jones. Dylan makes 10 yards,
- 8:51Speaker 4: makes a guy miss. So yeah, there is a lot. Um,
- 8:55Speaker 4: there's a lot left out there for him to go
- 8:57Speaker 4: get offensively. And there's a lot more improvement that this
- 9:00Speaker 4: offense can get to. And, but the improvement that he's
- 9:04Speaker 4: shown every single week to get better and better and better,
- 9:07Speaker 4: a little bit here, a little bit there, just a
- 9:09Speaker 4: little slowed down. Look, He's slowing down a little bit
- 9:11Speaker 4: more every single week. It's shown me a lot in
- 9:14Speaker 4: that he has the ability to take coaching. He has
- 9:17Speaker 4: the ability to adapt, to get better, to understand. It
- 9:21Speaker 4: shows me that the coaches know exactly where to coach him,
- 9:24Speaker 4: teach him, make him work on things during the week. And, look,
- 9:29Speaker 4: he's got another year, right, of eligibility?
- 9:32Speaker 2: Yes.
- 9:32Speaker 4: So if he so chooses, if he does so choose
- 9:35Speaker 4: to come back, he will be in New York City
- 9:38Speaker 4: next week just from what I have seen.
- 9:40Speaker 2: Or not next week. New York City next year. He
- 9:42Speaker 2: going on vacation? Yeah, next week.
- 9:44Speaker 4: Yeah, he going to New York. No, next season if
- 9:47Speaker 4: he chooses to come back because he has that athletic ability.
- 9:51Speaker 4: He has the ability with the arm to beat you
- 9:53Speaker 4: to be accurate all over the field. He just has
- 9:56Speaker 4: to get more and more comfortable within this offense. And
- 9:58Speaker 4: so I see an offense that's starting to gel. I
- 10:01Speaker 4: see an offense that is getting more comfortable. And it
- 10:05Speaker 4: has to continue to improve if you want to get,
- 10:08Speaker 4: if this team wants to get where they want to
- 10:10Speaker 4: go and where their goals are. And there's only going
- 10:13Speaker 4: to be one way that satisfies the team, the coaches,
- 10:15Speaker 4: the fan base, and that's to get in the playoffs.
- 10:18Speaker 4: Even with the injuries.
- 10:19Speaker 2: It doesn't matter.
- 10:20Speaker 4: You have to find a way to do it, and
- 10:23Speaker 4: a lot of it is going to ride on the
- 10:25Speaker 4: right arm of Sam Leavitt.
- 10:28Speaker 3: I agree with you, and I do think also one
- 10:31Speaker 3: of the things that we were kind of looking for
- 10:34Speaker 3: ever since Tradez Green went out against Ole Miss was, okay,
- 10:36Speaker 3: who's going to be your go-to target? And I would
- 10:39Speaker 3: say it all the time on the broadcast. No Tradez,
- 10:41Speaker 3: who's going to be the guy? Who's going to be
- 10:43Speaker 3: the guy? Who is going to step up? And Jones
- 10:46Speaker 3: has done that in the run game. but I was
- 10:48Speaker 3: talking about a receiver, somebody that can catch the football.
- 10:51Speaker 3: And since Jackson Harris has become that guy, I think
- 10:54Speaker 3: Sam Levitt obviously is in a situation where on some
- 10:59Speaker 3: of those money downs, he looks more comfortable because he
- 11:02Speaker 3: does have a guy that he trusts and he feels
- 11:04Speaker 3: like he has a go-to target. That's not to take, like,
- 11:07Speaker 3: I think Watkins is going to continue to make plays.
- 11:10Speaker 3: Wilson's going to continue to make plays. But Jackson Harris,
- 11:12Speaker 3: to me, Matt, is the undoubted, go-to, trusted guy. He's
- 11:18Speaker 3: got the strongest hands. He's elevated his level of play.
- 11:21Speaker 3: He's got, what, five touchdowns in the last, what, four games,
- 11:25Speaker 3: three games?
- 11:27Speaker 2: Mm-hmm. I think that helps.
- 11:28Speaker 3: I mean, I can't speak to that, but I think
- 11:30Speaker 3: that helps a quarterback whenever you know that you've got
- 11:33Speaker 3: somebody that when you throw it, it's going to be
- 11:34Speaker 3: him or nobody.
- 11:36Speaker 7: Mm-hmm.
- 11:37Speaker 4: And, yeah, he's doing a good job of being trustworthy,
- 11:41Speaker 4: and there's some clips of him running some dig routes,
- 11:44Speaker 4: some in-routes, basic, you know, basic crosses, whatever you want
- 11:46Speaker 4: to call them across the middle where it's tight coverage
- 11:50Speaker 4: and Sam throws a ball and he comes back to
- 11:53Speaker 4: the quarterback. Like he, his momentum takes it back to
- 11:55Speaker 4: the quarterback to where if a DB wants to make
- 11:59Speaker 4: a play on the ball, he's got to go through
- 12:00Speaker 4: him and PI him to make a, make a play.
- 12:04Speaker 4: And that's how you gain trust with a quarterback is
- 12:06Speaker 4: when it is tight coverage and you are running something
- 12:10Speaker 4: that's going, your momentum is taking you back towards the
- 12:12Speaker 4: middle of the field or towards the quarterback. Always go
- 12:17Speaker 4: towards the quarterback when you're attacking the ball. Never drift away.
- 12:21Speaker 4: Never just stay there. Stand there like a statue. Always
- 12:24Speaker 4: go towards. Don't let the DB make a play. So
- 12:26Speaker 4: he throws into some tight windows. Jackson Harris goes towards
- 12:29Speaker 4: the quarterback and keeps it safe, keeps the throw safe.
- 12:33Speaker 4: And one way to lose trust from a quarterback is
- 12:37Speaker 4: for him to make a good throw. You drift and
- 12:39Speaker 4: get the ball picked. And the quarterback gets an interception
- 12:43Speaker 4: on his stat sheet because of your bad route?
- 12:45Speaker 2: Yeah, we saw that. Are you not attacking the ball?
- 12:47Speaker 3: I think it was Seattle and Denver on Thursday night.
- 12:52Speaker 2: Seattle had a receiver drift.
- 12:54Speaker 3: He was coming across the formation on a drag route,
- 12:56Speaker 3: and he kind of tried to staircase it a little
- 12:58Speaker 3: bit and was doing too much, and the quarterback was
- 13:01Speaker 3: expecting him to just continue to fight across the face,
- 13:03Speaker 3: and he throws the football interception.
- 13:06Speaker 2: Sam Donner was not very happy with his receiver. No,
- 13:09Speaker 2: he wouldn't.
- 13:10Speaker 4: He shouldn't have been. It pissed me off. So you would.
- 13:14Speaker 4: And you ain't going to get a ball again.
- 13:17Speaker 2: Fool me once. What's he say about it? Fool me twice?
- 13:21Speaker 4: He ain't going to fool me twice. Because I'm not
- 13:24Speaker 4: going to throw it to you.
- 13:27Speaker 5: It's fair.
- 13:27Speaker 4: Cut his ass. I'm putting the fans in the stands.
- 13:34Speaker 2: Sorry.
- 13:36Speaker 4: Classic quarterback comment. Why do you look so confused right now?
- 13:46Speaker 4: We just broke down some stuff.
- 13:48Speaker 3: I don't know how many different places you just went
- 13:50Speaker 3: there in the last 15 seconds.
- 13:52Speaker 4: Well, I stayed in one place for like 15 minutes,
- 13:54Speaker 4: so just give me those 15 seconds.
- 13:55Speaker 2: All right, that's fair. That's fair enough.
- 14:00Speaker 3: This is a game for Sam Levitt that is you
- 14:05Speaker 3: win this one and you get some of your weapons back, potentially.
- 14:09Speaker 3: I don't know for sure, but that was the word
- 14:12Speaker 3: that we got weeks ago. You win this one, you
- 14:15Speaker 3: get Trey to ask Green back.
- 14:16Speaker 4: You better win this one.
- 14:18Speaker 2: Gotta win.
- 14:18Speaker 4: If you want to go to the playoffs.
- 14:19Speaker 2: Yes.
- 14:19Speaker 4: This is a must win.
- 14:21Speaker 2: You can't lose. You can't lose.
- 14:23Speaker 3: I'm not speaking in absolutes because, well, we found a
- 14:26Speaker 3: way to a championship game in which.
- 14:28Speaker 2: A lot of people thought we were done, including ourselves.
- 14:32Speaker 2: But you gotta win. And you know what?
- 14:36Speaker 4: Fans are going to be disappointed if you don't make
- 14:38Speaker 4: the playoffs.
- 14:39Speaker 2: Yes.
- 14:39Speaker 4: And guess what? The fans should be disappointed if you
- 14:42Speaker 4: don't make the playoffs. We've There's been a lot of
- 14:44Speaker 4: money spent. That is the expectation. Coaches are going to
- 14:48Speaker 4: be disappointed if they don't make the play. That is
- 14:50Speaker 4: the expectation. That's everybody's expectation. You have put yourself behind
- 14:53Speaker 4: the eight ball with two losses versus two very well-played
- 14:58Speaker 4: games by the quarterback on the other team. I don't
- 15:01Speaker 4: know if Auburn's quarterback's got that in him.
- 15:04Speaker 2: I don't know.
- 15:05Speaker 4: I didn't think Kenny Minchie did. I thought he was good.
- 15:10Speaker 4: I thought he was solid. I didn't know he was
- 15:12Speaker 4: like I'm going to make every single play that I
- 15:15Speaker 4: need to to win this game. I don't know if
- 15:18Speaker 4: Auburn's QB is like that. I don't know how many
- 15:21Speaker 4: quarterbacks left on the schedule are like that, but it's
- 15:24Speaker 4: going to take one hell of a good quarterbacked game
- 15:27Speaker 4: by any opponent against Blake Baker's defense because they're throwing
- 15:30Speaker 4: a lot at the opposing teams. And I'm not just
- 15:35Speaker 4: saying capable. I've heard the term capable quarterback play a lot.
- 15:40Speaker 4: About like, well, every time LSU, you know, Blake Baker
- 15:42Speaker 4: and LSU, they face a capable quarterback play. No, it's
- 15:47Speaker 4: actually face really good quarterback play. Like it's what Trinidad
- 15:51Speaker 4: did against LSU. It was exceptional. How Kenny Menchie played
- 15:54Speaker 4: in the fourth quarter was exceptional. It wasn't capable. It
- 15:58Speaker 4: was really damn good quarterbacking. And you lost by a combined,
- 16:02Speaker 4: both those games combined nine points. So LSU, you're still good.
- 16:06Speaker 4: It stinks that you're in the situation to where, Every
- 16:10Speaker 4: game's going to feel like a must-win, but you have
- 16:12Speaker 4: to get this one on the road against a team
- 16:15Speaker 4: that just went on the road and beat the number
- 16:17Speaker 4: one team in the country.
- 16:17Speaker 2: Yeah, you get this one.
- 16:20Speaker 3: You're sitting somewhere probably in the.
- 16:24Speaker 2: 14, 15 range in the top 25. Then you get
- 16:28Speaker 2: to a bye week. Then you get healthy-ish.
- 16:32Speaker 3: Then you get a chance at Alabama at home. You
- 16:36Speaker 3: get a chance at Texas at home. You've been really
- 16:39Speaker 3: good at home.
- 16:41Speaker 4: Hey, did you know that Kaylin DeBoer had those pipes?
- 16:44Speaker 2: I hadn't seen the video that you are talking about yet.
- 16:46Speaker 2: You haven't seen it? I've heard about it.
- 16:50Speaker 5: Taylor, can you find it?
- 16:51Speaker 2: All right, well, let's do this.
- 16:52Speaker 3: We can find the video that you are talking about.
- 16:55Speaker 2: We can take a break.
- 16:56Speaker 3: We'll play said video that they're talking about when we

- 19:03Speaker 3: CommunitySteelCo.com is the website in Gonzales, Louisiana.
- 19:07Speaker 2: Nothing better than Louisiana Steel. All right. I don't know
- 19:13Speaker 2: what this video is. Come on, bro. I've seen it.
- 19:17Speaker 2: Make the rounds. You're so old. That makes me old? Yep.
- 19:24Speaker 2: You hadn't been on the socials. I've seen people talk
- 19:27Speaker 2: about it. I think people quote tweet it today, but
- 19:31Speaker 2: I haven't watched the video. What is this? Set the
- 19:33Speaker 2: scene here for me, Alondra.
- 19:35Speaker 8: So these are the coaches that lost in a big
- 19:39Speaker 8: way this weekend. Usually, you know, if you get embarrassed
- 19:42Speaker 8: on the weekend, you get AI'd onto something. This is
- 19:45Speaker 8: a Tiny Desk concert that Kalen DeBoer, Kirby Smart, Marcus Freeman,
- 19:51Speaker 8: Kurt Cignetti, I think that's it.
- 19:54Speaker 4: Sarkeesian.
- 19:55Speaker 5: Oh, and Sarkeesian. Recorded, I guess, sometime over the weekend.
- 19:58Speaker 4: Yeah, they got together.
- 19:59Speaker 2: Yeah. Okay.
- 20:18Speaker 6: They didn't know the rest of the song.
- 20:25Speaker 4: This is a proper use of AI.
- 20:29Speaker 2: I think Kirby was my favorite.
- 20:31Speaker 5: Kirby with the tambourine?
- 20:32Speaker 2: At the very end.
- 20:33Speaker 1: Okay.
- 20:34Speaker 5: Rank your faves, Matt, because I know that you're like.
- 20:37Speaker 2: I know.
- 20:37Speaker 4: DeBoer is my favorite. He's so happy and belting so awesome.
- 20:43Speaker 4: And then Marcus Freeman, of course, hilarious on the sacks.
- 20:46Speaker 4: But Signetti at the very end, cranking up that diesel,
- 20:50Speaker 4: cranking up that big horn. Do, do, do, do.
- 20:53Speaker 2: He's really good.
- 20:53Speaker 5: Sarkeesian, yeah, I don't care about you. Yeah, Sark was
- 20:56Speaker 5: just kind of Sark.
- 20:57Speaker 4: That's how he would be in real life. Right. No
- 20:58Speaker 4: one really likes him.
- 20:59Speaker 6: Sark's like, I'm forced to be here. Everybody else is
- 21:01Speaker 6: genuinely happy.
- 21:03Speaker 4: He's the a-hole. No one likes him, which I can
- 21:05Speaker 4: see being real life.
- 21:08Speaker 5: So, Jake, Kirby is your favorite?
- 21:09Speaker 2: I think Kirby, yeah.
- 21:10Speaker 3: With that little tambourine head at the very end where
- 21:12Speaker 3: he kind of cocks his head a little bit.
- 21:13Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 21:13Speaker 2: Yeah, I think that was my favorite.
- 21:16Speaker 5: I think you're right.
- 21:18Speaker 8: Kaelin is, like, incredibly happy in it.
- 21:21Speaker 3: Kaelin looks like the dad that just, like, he showed
- 21:24Speaker 3: up and he, like, sees everybody having fun.
- 21:26Speaker 2: He's like, hell yeah, let me get in on this, brother.
- 21:28Speaker 4: I like when they zoom in on him doing the solo.
- 21:30Speaker 4: You hear the big voice, like, belting in the background.
- 21:33Speaker 4: That's so good.
- 21:36Speaker 8: Okay, I think that Marcus Freeman, because the cut to
- 21:39Speaker 8: the sax, like, the first time I saw it took
- 21:42Speaker 8: me out.
- 21:43Speaker 5: I was like, oh, my God, I did not think.
- 21:46Speaker 4: And I'm pretty sure, you might want to play it again,
- 21:47Speaker 4: I'm pretty sure when they cut to him, he's got
- 21:49Speaker 4: the fake hairline.
- 21:51Speaker 2: Which I don't know why he doesn't. He doesn't have to.
- 21:53Speaker 3: I know.
- 21:54Speaker 2: Because he's a Notre Dame fan.
- 21:55Speaker 5: I do love that Kirby has a tambourine. That is
- 21:58Speaker 5: really funny.
- 21:59Speaker 4: Do we want it again? Oh, yeah, why not?
- 22:01Speaker 2: I mean.
- 22:02Speaker 4: It's a great, great video. I'm standing. Yeah, you got
- 22:14Speaker 4: me up.
- 22:20Speaker 7: Wait, I just noticed that Kirby and Sark do like
- 22:29Speaker 7: a little, like a handshake at the end of it.
- 22:34Speaker 5: I noticed something different every time I watch it.
- 22:36Speaker 4: They put the fake hairline on that man.
- 22:39Speaker 2: That he doesn't need.
- 22:41Speaker 4: Look at that. Look at that thing, huh?
- 22:45Speaker 2: Guy's a handsome devil before it. He didn't have to
- 22:47Speaker 2: do it.
- 22:48Speaker 4: So the person who made, whoever made this AI, put
- 22:51Speaker 4: that as a prompt. It put that in there, put
- 22:53Speaker 4: the fake hairline on Marcus Freeman.
- 22:56Speaker 2: Oh, my God.
- 22:57Speaker 4: The attention to detail is incredible. It's incredible.
- 23:00Speaker 3: So good.
- 23:00Speaker 4: That is a proper use. Nice work. Well done. Whoever
- 23:02Speaker 4: did that, well done. And you are definitely getting a
- 23:06Speaker 4: lot of credit right now because everybody talking about that video.
- 23:11Speaker 2: Matt's so mad that he didn't AI it. I know.
- 23:13Speaker 4: I'm so upset.
- 23:14Speaker 5: Look at Kirby and Zarks do a little handshake.
- 23:20Speaker 4: Signetti with the fist pump.
- 23:22Speaker 2: Awesome.
- 23:23Speaker 4: Kirby.
- 23:25Speaker 2: I love it.
- 23:26Speaker 8: That one in the Mickey Mouse Clubhouse one is, the
- 23:28Speaker 8: Mickey Mouse Clubhouse one is brutal because you never want
- 23:30Speaker 8: to be, is it Goofy or what's the dog's name?
- 23:33Speaker 2: Pluto. Oh, Pluto.
- 23:34Speaker 4: Well, I mean, I guess Goofy's actually a dog too.
- 23:36Speaker 2: Goofy's a dog that can talk. Pluto's a dog dog.
- 23:39Speaker 2: Pluto can't talk.
- 23:40Speaker 6: Pluto's the tan, like actually on four legs.
- 23:42Speaker 8: You never want to be Pluto on the Mickey Mouse
- 23:44Speaker 8: Clubhouse one.
- 23:45Speaker 5: Like this week it was Dak.
- 23:47Speaker 2: I mean.
- 23:48Speaker 5: It looks like he's doing something inappropriate.
- 23:50Speaker 4: Oh no.
- 23:51Speaker 6: Dak does something inappropriate every time I watch him, so I'm.
- 23:55Speaker 2: What Cowboys player do you like?
- 23:57Speaker 6: Love CeeDee Lamb. Huge CeeDee Lamb fan.
- 24:00Speaker 3: What about when he fell down and caused Dak to
- 24:02Speaker 3: throw an interception this week? When he literally fell down
- 24:05Speaker 3: and drowned. Then blame the cleats.
- 24:07Speaker 6: It's a bad play, yes, but he's been awesome this year.
- 24:11Speaker 6: He had 17 catches two weeks ago.
- 24:13Speaker 2: Yeah, well, living the past a little bit.
- 24:15Speaker 6: I like Javante Williams when they actually block for him.
- 24:19Speaker 2: It's safe.
- 24:21Speaker 4: Say three things. This is what I do with my children.
- 24:23Speaker 4: Sometimes they're having their, all they can do is complain.
- 24:25Speaker 4: Always pick out the bad. Say three things positive about
- 24:28Speaker 4: the Cowboys right now.
- 24:30Speaker 6: Love their helmet. Maybe the best helmet in the league.
- 24:33Speaker 6: Top three.
- 24:34Speaker 4: Love their helmet.
- 24:35Speaker 2: Everybody's saying it.
- 24:36Speaker 6: I'd go Cowboys, Chargers, probably top two for me.
- 24:41Speaker 4: Helmets.
- 24:43Speaker 6: Dallas Cowboy cheerleaders, great. Love them. The show's great. I've
- 24:49Speaker 6: been to Dallas before. Love the city of Dallas.
- 24:51Speaker 2: Okay.
- 24:51Speaker 6: I love Dallas.
- 24:52Speaker 4: There you go, man. No matter how big or small
- 24:55Speaker 4: it is, as long as we say something positive, we're
- 24:58Speaker 4: changing our attitude. We're changing our mindset.
- 25:02Speaker 2: Say three things positive about the Chargers. Three things positive
- 25:06Speaker 2: about the Chargers.
- 25:08Speaker 5: Madison Beer.
- 25:10Speaker 6: No, he ain't putting that on there.
- 25:12Speaker 4: Not that toxicity.
- 25:13Speaker 5: That bad woman. Literally called her a bad woman.
- 25:17Speaker 2: Like he's thinking.
- 25:19Speaker 4: Oh, uh, Jakey Pester.
- 25:21Speaker 2: Great one. Real super positive.
- 25:24Speaker 4: Um, always heard that Phillip Rivers took a sprinter van
- 25:27Speaker 4: to practice.
- 25:28Speaker 2: He did. And I love sprinter vans. It had a
- 25:30Speaker 2: whole film set up in it. Yes. Respected that. I
- 25:33Speaker 2: respect that. I wish you had one of those. Yeah,
- 25:35Speaker 2: I wish I do.
- 25:35Speaker 4: I've been wanting one for a while.
- 25:37Speaker 2: You're driving. What are you doing? Watching tape, watching video,
- 25:40Speaker 2: watching ball.
- 25:42Speaker 4: Um, and then my next positive thing. I mean, I
- 25:50Speaker 4: guess they have a good uniform.
- 25:51Speaker 2: Okay.
- 25:52Speaker 4: They got a good uniform.
- 25:53Speaker 2: See, it wasn't that hard.
- 25:54Speaker 4: I mean, I don't hate, I don't dislike the Chargers
- 25:57Speaker 4: at all.
- 25:58Speaker 6: Could you do it with the Raiders?
- 26:01Speaker 4: No, I don't think so. All right, let's think about this.
- 26:04Speaker 2: Hey, hold on. Hold on.
- 26:05Speaker 3: Let's think about this. Let's think about it. Because I also,
- 26:09Speaker 3: I hate the Raiders. You hate the Raiders. Let's see
- 26:12Speaker 3: three things. Jamarcus Russell.
- 26:14Speaker 4: Okay, yeah.
- 26:15Speaker 2: That's good. Lane Kiffin. He was coached there. Okay, yeah.
- 26:20Speaker 4: Hey, Darren McFadden went there.
- 26:21Speaker 2: He's a good guy. Good dude. Good player. But, you know.
- 26:24Speaker 5: John Gruden.
- 26:26Speaker 2: John Gruden. I love him. John Gruden.
- 26:28Speaker 6: John Madden.
- 26:30Speaker 2: Now, all three of those people got fired by the Raiders. But, like,
- 26:35Speaker 2: we like them.
- 26:37Speaker 4: I do remember hearing the story about the guy that
- 26:39Speaker 4: made the logo.
- 26:40Speaker 2: Their logo. Their uniforms are great.
- 26:42Speaker 6: They're silver and black as well.
- 26:44Speaker 2: That's a great uniform.
- 26:46Speaker 4: The guy that drew up their logo, like, in the
- 26:48Speaker 4: 60s or 70s or whatever, I think. Al Davis paid
- 26:51Speaker 4: him like 150 bucks for it. Hell yeah. No way.
- 26:54Speaker 2: I was like, yeah. You know what though? It kind
- 26:57Speaker 2: of looks like a $ 150 logo.
- 26:58Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 26:58Speaker 2: But I like it. But it works. I like the
- 27:01Speaker 2: simplicity of it. It looks like it was kind of
- 27:03Speaker 2: hand drawn.
- 27:04Speaker 8: I like it.
- 27:05Speaker 5: How long back in the day though? Because $ 150 back
- 27:07Speaker 5: in the day could.
- 27:07Speaker 6: Be a lot of money.
- 27:08Speaker 2: Well, Al Davis used to be the coach of the Chargers. Yeah.
- 27:12Speaker 2: That's how he got started.
- 27:13Speaker 4: In the NFL. See, I didn't know that.
- 27:15Speaker 2: Yeah. Didn't know that. Good for him. And then he
- 27:20Speaker 2: bought the Raiders.
- 27:21Speaker 4: Got to learn something new every day is what they say.
- 27:24Speaker 4: Constant and never in itself. 1960.
- 27:27Speaker 2: 1960 what?
- 27:28Speaker 6: The original Raiders logo. It's created.
- 27:30Speaker 5: I feel like that was like $ 1, 000 back then.
- 27:36Speaker 6: Yeah, I mean, yeah, $ 150 back then. You could buy
- 27:41Speaker 6: a car for $ 150.
- 27:41Speaker 4: I got to look up the story. It was something
- 27:43Speaker 4: like the guy wanted to license.
- 27:45Speaker 8: It to him.
- 27:45Speaker 2: Yeah, out there was Coach's Chargers from 1960 to 1962.
- 27:49Speaker 4: All right.
- 27:51Speaker 2: When do you buy the Raiders? How about this?
- 27:57Speaker 3: All right. So he was hired by Sid Gilman as
- 28:01Speaker 3: the offensive ends coach.
- 28:03Speaker 8: What?
- 28:04Speaker 4: Of course.
- 28:05Speaker 3: Essentially working with the receivers in passing game. The franchise
- 28:09Speaker 3: was the Los Angeles Chargers in 1960, and then they
- 28:13Speaker 3: moved to San Diego in 1961.
- 28:16Speaker 2: He was there for three seasons.
- 28:17Speaker 3: In those three seasons, they went 10-4, AFL division champs, 12-2,
- 28:22Speaker 3: AFL division champs, and then they went 4-10 in 1962.
- 28:26Speaker 3: So then in 1963, at just 33 years old, he
- 28:30Speaker 3: became the head coach and the GM of the Oakland Raiders.
- 28:34Speaker 3: So after a 4-10 season coaching receivers, at 33 years old,
- 28:38Speaker 3: he took over the Raiders, taking that team that had
- 28:41Speaker 3: gone 9-33 over its first three seasons, and then that
- 28:46Speaker 3: year went 10-4, He was named AFL Coach of the Year.
- 28:50Speaker 4: Well, he was really good at coaching the offensive ends.
- 28:53Speaker 2: And then somehow he ended up owning the team.
- 28:57Speaker 4: How about that? Fascinating. Good for him.
- 29:01Speaker 2: And then his son, who owns it now, incredible haircut.
- 29:04Speaker 4: Pranks us every day with his haircut and outfit.
- 29:07Speaker 2: I mean, Lloyd Christmas could never.
- 29:09Speaker 4: 100% punkiness daily. But seriously, it's got to be a joke, right?
- 29:17Speaker 4: I don't know.
- 29:19Speaker 2: You should see it in person.
- 29:20Speaker 4: It's worse.
- 29:20Speaker 5: It's like nobody on earth that has that haircut besides him.
- 29:24Speaker 4: But he stands in front of, I'm assuming he owns mirrors.
- 29:27Speaker 5: I'm supposed to take you seriously as a person.
- 29:29Speaker 4: He owns mirrors, right? And he can't see it. You
- 29:34Speaker 4: have to be self-confident. I get that. Everybody's got, you know,
- 29:38Speaker 4: God made us all different. Gotta have FU money, which...
- 29:41Speaker 4: You gotta have FU money.
- 29:46Speaker 2: But again, mirrors are cheap.
- 29:49Speaker 5: I mean, and they're in every bathroom.
- 29:50Speaker 3: The only person that really pulled off a haircut like
- 29:52Speaker 3: that was Josh Hartnett in the faculty in the early 2000s.
- 29:56Speaker 2: Hey, Tay, can you pull up a picture of that? Yeah.
- 30:01Speaker 3: Like, this was like a real haircut, like of a
- 30:03Speaker 3: teen heartthrob back in the day.
- 30:06Speaker 4: Should we do a side-by-side with him and Mark Davis?
- 30:11Speaker 5: Maybe we shouldn't.
- 30:12Speaker 2: See which one pulled it off the best?
- 30:14Speaker 6: I'm looking, but I know the answer to this one.
- 30:16Speaker 2: All right, while Tay-Tay gets that.
- 30:17Speaker 4: It's also the stonewashed jeans and white turtleneck, too.
- 30:23Speaker 5: Hey, but that's, like, not the same thing.
- 30:25Speaker 2: That's not the same thing. I mean, but did he
- 30:27Speaker 2: cut it himself, though?
- 30:29Speaker 5: Definitely did. But Mark's bangs are way shorter.
- 30:34Speaker 3: That's the best picture that you could find of that haircut.
- 30:37Speaker 3: There's worse pictures out there. I feel like that's a
- 30:39Speaker 3: weird pool by you. Josh Hartnett in the faculty.
- 30:42Speaker 5: Yeah, that is very specific.
- 30:43Speaker 2: It's a strange pool.
- 30:44Speaker 3: Well, he has a new series on Netflix, and it's
- 30:47Speaker 3: been on the socials. Just like y'all saw the coaching
- 30:51Speaker 3: singing video, him in the early 2000s with his haircut
- 30:55Speaker 3: has been definitely a product.
- 30:56Speaker 2: I don't know if I've ever heard of the faculty.
- 30:58Speaker 2: You never?
- 30:59Speaker 5: Not sure what that is now.
- 31:00Speaker 2: Well, you shouldn't. You're, Alondra, your age. You definitely should. Wow,
- 31:04Speaker 2: should I? It was a big movie when we were teenagers.
- 31:07Speaker 2: That was big. You can, all you want. It was big.
- 31:10Speaker 2: Maybe if you wore puka shells.
- 31:12Speaker 4: Nope.
- 31:13Speaker 2: I don't know if y'all had a movie theater in Tyler, Texas.
- 31:15Speaker 2: We did. Big one. Hollywood. Yeah, Taylor pulled up the
- 31:22Speaker 2: best possible picture of it.
- 31:24Speaker 6: Here, I got another.
- 31:27Speaker 8: One.
- 31:27Speaker 4: Which one do we want?
- 31:28Speaker 3: Here.
- 31:30Speaker 4: Ooh, this is a bad one.
- 31:31Speaker 2: I can't believe you've never heard of The Faculty.
- 31:39Speaker 6: That one's pretty bad.
- 31:42Speaker 5: But it was bad.
- 31:42Speaker 2: I mean. Him or Mark Davis. Looks like a really
- 31:47Speaker 2: good movie. It is. Elijah Wood's in it. Jordana Brewster's
- 31:53Speaker 2: in it. Who? Usher's in it.
- 31:56Speaker 5: Usher's in it?
- 31:57Speaker 2: Usher's in it. That's why you watched it.
- 31:58Speaker 4: $ 15.
- 32:02Speaker 2: Million budget made $ 65 million. Chad, help me out.
- 32:10Speaker 3: If you've seen that movie and also agree that Matt's
- 32:13Speaker 3: just trying to be Tommy Tough Guy up here.
- 32:17Speaker 2: Tommy Tough Guy. We'll take a break. More OTB.

- 34:47Speaker 2: Not disco. What would this be considered?
- 34:49Speaker 5: I don't know.
- 34:50Speaker 4: Funk?
- 34:51Speaker 2: Yeah, funk. Oh, he just said it.
- 34:53Speaker 5: He did.
- 34:54Speaker 2: There you go. Thank you for answering that, bud.
- 34:56Speaker 4: You got it.
- 34:56Speaker 2: Thank you.
- 34:57Speaker 6: Matt, whatever happened to Funky Friday?
- 34:58Speaker 2: That was terrible.
- 34:59Speaker 4: That was awesome.
- 35:01Speaker 5: Ran out of songs real quick.
- 35:02Speaker 2: Yeah. Now, the song that closed it was good. What
- 35:08Speaker 2: was that?
- 35:09Speaker 4: Slam dunk the funk.
- 35:10Speaker 2: Yeah, that was good. That was electric.
- 35:11Speaker 4: Way to close out a week there.
- 35:13Speaker 2: Yeah, that was good.
- 35:13Speaker 8: And then y'all were on location.
- 35:17Speaker 4: There's a lot of disrespect to funk music.
- 35:20Speaker 2: It's funked up.
- 35:22Speaker 4: It is.
- 35:23Speaker 2: I've always said it. It's kind of like Notre Dame
- 35:31Speaker 2: still being number four in the country.
- 35:32Speaker 4: It is funked up.
- 35:34Speaker 2: Good for the coaches, though. Coaches put them at eight.
- 35:38Speaker 4: I know.
- 35:38Speaker 2: Good for the coaches.
- 35:40Speaker 4: Thank you for playing that song, by the way.
- 35:43Speaker 2: The AP's warm.
- 35:44Speaker 5: You're welcome.
- 35:44Speaker 2: Everybody goes off. I love funky music.
- 35:46Speaker 5: You do love funk.
- 35:51Speaker 2: What has Notre Dame done that's better on their resume
- 35:54Speaker 2: than Kentucky?
- 35:55Speaker 4: Nothing. You know Notre Dame is not in the business
- 36:01Speaker 4: of building a resume.
- 36:01Speaker 2: What's Indiana done that's better on their resume? Nothing.
- 36:04Speaker 6: And Indiana's had some close wins against them. Average teams.
- 36:09Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 36:13Speaker 2: I'm about to ask a real tough question. Go ahead.
- 36:21Speaker 2: What does Ohio State do? Lost to Texas.
- 36:27Speaker 5: I was about to say lost on the road to Texas.
- 36:29Speaker 6: Beat Indiana, but again, how good are they?
- 36:31Speaker 2: They beat Iowa on the road.
- 36:33Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 36:35Speaker 3: But to be like, oh. they should be number one
- 36:39Speaker 3: or two in the country. I give the coaches poll
- 36:42Speaker 3: a lot of credit for dropping Notre Dame to eight.
- 36:46Speaker 2: But Ohio State.
- 36:48Speaker 4: Look, it's– yeah, and I hear what– What has Miami done?
- 36:56Speaker 5: Almost lost to Florida State.
- 36:58Speaker 6: Yeah, you go look at Miami's schedule.
- 37:00Speaker 3: BYU should be the number one team in the country.
- 37:02Speaker 3: If we're going to hold Notre Dame to the standard
- 37:04Speaker 3: that they do in the AP poll– which you lose
- 37:07Speaker 3: and you only drop down to number four, you should
- 37:10Speaker 3: tell me then BYU should be the number one team
- 37:12Speaker 3: in the country.
- 37:13Speaker 2: If it's the best win in the country.
- 37:15Speaker 4: And they're undefeated.
- 37:15Speaker 2: And they're undefeated. Yep.
- 37:17Speaker 3: They should be number one. Miami's best win right now
- 37:22Speaker 3: is on the road against a bad Clemson team. We
- 37:26Speaker 3: beat Wake Forest, I guess, at Wake Forest. And Wake
- 37:29Speaker 3: Forest is ranked right now.
- 37:30Speaker 2: Yeah. See how long that lasts. I do think Wake
- 37:34Speaker 2: Forest is good.
- 37:35Speaker 5: They beat Louisville, didn't they?
- 37:37Speaker 2: Louisville's gone the other way.
- 37:38Speaker 5: Have they?
- 37:38Speaker 2: They looked like.
- 37:40Speaker 5: They were doing well.
- 37:42Speaker 6: I think it's four.
- 37:45Speaker 4: I'm not going to hate on an Ohio State, an Indiana,
- 37:50Speaker 4: or a Miami.
- 37:50Speaker 2: But what has Indiana done?
- 37:54Speaker 4: You can hate on Indiana.
- 37:54Speaker 3: They played North Texas, Howard, Western Kentucky, Northwestern, Rutgers, Nebraska.
- 38:02Speaker 4: I'm not going to hate on them because they're in
- 38:04Speaker 4: a conference.
- 38:05Speaker 3: I know.
- 38:07Speaker 4: I mean, you can make fun of that all you want,
- 38:09Speaker 4: but they're in a conference.
- 38:10Speaker 2: This isn't sticking up for Notre Dame.
- 38:11Speaker 3: It's really sticking up for teams like Kentucky, who's going
- 38:14Speaker 3: on the road and beating Oklahoma, South Carolina, beat LSU
- 38:18Speaker 3: at home, beat A & M on the road.
- 38:21Speaker 4: Miami can't control that their conference stinks. They can't control that.
- 38:26Speaker 2: Okay.
- 38:27Speaker 4: Ohio State, I give them a lot of credit for
- 38:30Speaker 4: going on the road.
- 38:30Speaker 3: They can control that their non-con is Florida A &
- 38:34Speaker 3: M- Well, Central Michigan.
- 38:37Speaker 4: LSU's non-con's trash. They at least played Clemson.
- 38:42Speaker 6: Miami does have Notre Dame coming up, but that's it.
- 38:44Speaker 2: That's not even a non-con, though. That's ACC's schedule tied.
- 38:49Speaker 2: How's that work? Notre Dame plays a pseudo-ACC schedule. It's
- 38:55Speaker 2: not in the conference.
- 38:57Speaker 3: So they have a certain amount of games because they're
- 38:59Speaker 3: in the ACC and every other sport that they have
- 39:01Speaker 3: to play in football. They have to play a certain
- 39:03Speaker 3: amount of ACC teams. So on their schedule... You're going
- 39:06Speaker 3: to have North Carolina. You're going to have Stanford, Miami,
- 39:10Speaker 3: Boston College, SMU, and Syracuse. So that's their six ACC
- 39:14Speaker 3: games that they have to play.
- 39:15Speaker 6: I know what you're thinking, Matt. Why don't they just
- 39:17Speaker 6: join the ACC?
- 39:18Speaker 4: I don't know. Of course that would be the conference
- 39:21Speaker 4: they'd join.
- 39:25Speaker 2: Losers.
- 39:30Speaker 4: Notre Dame, you're full of a bunch of losers.
- 39:33Speaker 8: Facts.
- 39:35Speaker 4: I love former players defending them on socials, too.
- 39:38Speaker 2: Like who? Oh, like people that played at Notre Dame?
- 39:41Speaker 2: People that played at Notre Dame. Always defending.
- 39:43Speaker 4: Like everybody that's defending. I'm like, okay. One response to them.
- 39:49Speaker 4: How would you have voted last year if you were
- 39:52Speaker 4: a senior? Would you have voted not to play? It
- 39:58Speaker 4: shuts most people up. Anyway, I love Aiden on them.
- 40:09Speaker 2: Got Navy coming up.
- 40:10Speaker 4: So where do you think Kentucky should be ranked?
- 40:17Speaker 3: Based off the teams that are ahead of them that
- 40:19Speaker 3: haven't done really anything, I honestly, I think Kentucky should
- 40:24Speaker 3: be somewhere.
- 40:24Speaker 2: In the six range. Six to eight.
- 40:28Speaker 5: I mean, they played a tough.
- 40:34Speaker 3: Again, if we're not going off what you did a
- 40:37Speaker 3: year ago, a la Indiana, if we're doing it based
- 40:41Speaker 3: off this year, Indiana's got a win. against number 24, Northwestern.
- 40:47Speaker 3: That's what they have. Kentucky's got a win against number 18, LSU.
- 40:53Speaker 3: So if we're just going off that win alone, they
- 40:56Speaker 3: have the same record.
- 40:57Speaker 2: Strength of schedule is much more difficult for Kentucky.
- 41:02Speaker 3: Why are they 12 and Indiana 6?
- 41:04Speaker 5: They're good wins, too.
- 41:12Speaker 2: Can't answer these. Why?
- 41:14Speaker 4: Can't answer these questions. I mean, it's all– I think
- 41:18Speaker 4: we all know the reasons why because it's all based
- 41:20Speaker 4: on preseason rank, and they're not going to knee-jerk react
- 41:23Speaker 4: to anything. They're going to slowly, methodically move people up
- 41:27Speaker 4: or down.
- 41:28Speaker 5: I don't feel like at this point it's knee-jerk, though.
- 41:30Speaker 6: I mean, what we're setting games in.
- 41:32Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 41:35Speaker 2: All right. Flynn loves Indiana. More OTV when we come back.
- 41:40Speaker 1: Off the bench.
- 41:41Speaker 2: All right, go to GCOPnet.com.

- 42:51Speaker 1: Off the Bench with Jacob Hester and Matt Flynn, presented
- 42:54Speaker 1: by Community Steel. All right, welcome back in OTB. We
- 43:10Speaker 1: just had a conversation about the top 25 and maybe
- 43:19Speaker 1: where teams should be.
- 43:22Speaker 2: Where they shouldn't be.
- 43:33Speaker 3: Alabama dropped seven spots to number 13. Texas dropped 12
- 43:37Speaker 3: spots to number 19. Missouri dropped nine spots to number 22.
- 43:42Speaker 3: Indiana dropped a whole spot to number six. Georgia dropped
- 43:45Speaker 3: four spots to number five. Notre Dame dropped two whole
- 43:49Speaker 3: spots to number four. Those were the teams that had
- 43:53Speaker 3: a little bit of a fall, if you will.
- 43:55Speaker 2: BYU moved up six spots to number two.
- 43:58Speaker 3: Houston moved up six spots to number 14. LSU moved
- 44:03Speaker 3: up four spots to number 18. Wake Forest moved up
- 44:05Speaker 3: four spots to number 17. God, let us play Wake Forest.
- 44:09Speaker 3: Let us play Wake Forest. That's what the bowl looks
- 44:13Speaker 3: like there. I'm just saying, like, let us play that.
- 44:16Speaker 4: We'll see how it goes.
- 44:18Speaker 3: Right now, across the room, because this is a crazy year,
- 44:22Speaker 3: the team that you trust the most in the country
- 44:24Speaker 3: right now.
- 44:27Speaker 6: Say that one more time.
- 44:29Speaker 2: The team that you trust the most right now in
- 44:31Speaker 2: the country.
- 44:32Speaker 3: The football team, if your life savings depended on this
- 44:36Speaker 3: team to go out there and put a good performance
- 44:38Speaker 3: each and every week?
- 44:39Speaker 6: I'll take Ohio State. I understand they lost to Texas
- 44:42Speaker 6: earlier in the year. I think Texas was better then.
- 44:46Speaker 5: Is it saying out or no?
- 44:49Speaker 2: Probably going to be out for some time.
- 44:51Speaker 6: Yeah, he'll be out a little bit.
- 44:52Speaker 2: I'm sure they have a five-star backup.
- 44:55Speaker 6: Yeah, I mean, they've been there, done that. I want
- 44:58Speaker 6: to take Georgia, but the Auburn loss was– that's a
- 45:02Speaker 6: bad loss i guess i'll go home.
- 45:03Speaker 4: Okay all right that's a tough question that's why i
- 45:07Speaker 4: asked it i didn't say good.
- 45:10Speaker 3: That's why i asked it i didn't say i was
- 45:12Speaker 3: looking for a good question i don't think i mean
- 45:16Speaker 3: i'm gonna say byu i was.
- 45:17Speaker 5: Thinking the exact same thing they've.
- 45:18Speaker 3: Been playing really well they have a really good quarterback
- 45:21Speaker 3: they have multiple good running backs they have Very capable receivers,
- 45:25Speaker 3: tight ends of defense, plays with their hair on fire.
- 45:28Speaker 6: Don't forget.
- 45:29Speaker 2: They've got a good play caller.
- 45:29Speaker 6: They won that game without L.J.
- 45:31Speaker 2: Martin.
- 45:31Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 45:32Speaker 6: Their best running player.
- 45:33Speaker 2: Kalani Satake's awesome. He takes risk.
- 45:36Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 45:37Speaker 2: Their offensive play caller was dialing them up the other night.
- 45:41Speaker 5: I like BYU.
- 45:42Speaker 8: I do, too.
- 45:43Speaker 2: It's okay.
- 45:45Speaker 3: The whole reason I did it is because people are
- 45:46Speaker 3: reluctant to say BYU, but it's probably the best answer
- 45:50Speaker 3: right now.
- 45:53Speaker 5: To me, they've proven themselves more than Miami.
- 45:57Speaker 8: I get they have Malachi Toney and Darian Mensah playing
- 45:59Speaker 8: his ass off, too.
- 46:00Speaker 5: But, I mean, Florida State, come on. I bet you
- 46:05Speaker 5: want it.
- 46:05Speaker 4: I'm still– I'm probably still going to take Georgia. I
- 46:10Speaker 4: know it was a bad loss. Consistent quarterback. Consistently good.
- 46:15Speaker 4: If I had to trust, like put my faith in somebody,
- 46:19Speaker 4: I think I'm going to go Georgia.
- 46:20Speaker 2: BYU, fine.
- 46:20Speaker 4: You know. I don't think much of Notre Dame. So
- 46:26Speaker 4: there you go.
- 46:27Speaker 5: No way.
- 46:28Speaker 4: I'm going to go Georgia. You, you even after.
- 46:30Speaker 2: A lot, you don't like Notre Dame. I don't.
- 46:32Speaker 4: It's crazy.
- 46:33Speaker 2: Never heard you say that before.
- 46:35Speaker 1: Off the bench.
