- 0:09Speaker 1: What's up, everybody? Welcome back to another episode of the
- 0:13Speaker 1: Bucco Territory Podcast, presented to you by the Foul Territory Network.
- 0:17Speaker 2: My name is Nohils.
- 0:18Speaker 1: Joining me as always are my co hosts, Josh Harrison
- 0:21Speaker 1: and Platinum Key aka Mark. We are recording this on
- 0:27Speaker 1: the final day of the month of April. If we
- 0:30Speaker 1: recorded our April mail Bag today, Fellas, it might have
- 0:33Speaker 1: been a little different.
- 0:34Speaker 2: Than the last time we spoke.
- 0:35Speaker 1: Something to say yes, because the Pirates ended the month
- 0:39Speaker 1: of April about as bad as you can end it.
- 0:41Speaker 1: On a five game losing streak, they get swept by
- 0:44Speaker 1: the Saint Louis Cardinals.
- 0:45Speaker 2: It's ironic.
- 0:46Speaker 1: On Monday Show, we're sitting here talking about how easy
- 0:50Speaker 1: the Cardinals were gonna be. They're not hitting the ball.
- 0:52Speaker 1: This is a team that they can sweep, and it
- 0:54Speaker 1: starts off making us look like geniuses. They throw six
- 0:58Speaker 1: and a third perfect inning to start this series in
- 1:02Speaker 1: a bullpen game, and it's like, all right, this is
- 1:04Speaker 1: gonna be easy. They'd taken two nothing lead into the
- 1:06Speaker 1: ninth inning and then everything after that went horribly. They
- 1:11Speaker 1: get swept. They're hitting was not timely at all. They
- 1:15Speaker 1: left a ton of men on base. Anytime they were scoring,
- 1:18Speaker 1: it was when the game was kind of out of reach.
- 1:20Speaker 1: Their starting pitching was bad. Their bullpen was like guys
- 1:23Speaker 1: who have been excellent for years in their bullpen had
- 1:26Speaker 1: a horrible series. Fielding remains to be you know, more
- 1:30Speaker 1: to be desired. It was just it was the worst
- 1:33Speaker 1: they've looked all year. It was the worst they looked
- 1:36Speaker 1: all year. And it wraps up a month of April,
- 1:40Speaker 1: so through one full month on the calendar. Now they
- 1:44Speaker 1: are sixteen and sixteen, which in this division is good
- 1:47Speaker 1: for last place in the NL Central. Real quick, I'll
- 1:50Speaker 1: just throw to both of you, guys, what are some
- 1:52Speaker 1: things that stood out on a bad you know, negatively
- 1:55Speaker 1: over this last week.
- 1:58Speaker 3: I'll start here. What really stood that was just missed opportunities,
- 2:04Speaker 3: not just the series, but at the plate, Pirates let
- 2:08Speaker 3: left way too much meat on the bone when you really,
- 2:11Speaker 3: if you're going to be a good team that makes
- 2:13Speaker 3: the playoffs, this is one of those series where you
- 2:15Speaker 3: can't get swept, especially at home, especially coming off the
- 2:19Speaker 3: loss leading into it, where it's like, all right, we
- 2:22Speaker 3: have bad loss, have a get right series, get back
- 2:26Speaker 3: on the horse, put together a winning streak, get this
- 2:28Speaker 3: ball rolling, and instead it felt like the wheels came off,
- 2:33Speaker 3: and it was just so frustrating to see, like Paul
- 2:37Speaker 3: Skins were recording this Thursday night. So Paul Skins started
- 2:41Speaker 3: earlier today and first batter he gave up a home
- 2:44Speaker 3: run JJ Weatherhill. Oh my gosh, he's gonna be He's
- 2:51Speaker 3: going to be a problem if he's going to try. Yeah,
- 2:54Speaker 3: if he does every time, which I get like he's
- 2:58Speaker 3: being from the area that that might be a little
- 3:01Speaker 3: extra motivation with friends and family there. But what a
- 3:03Speaker 3: pirates killer already. But seeing Paul Skenes just give up
- 3:07Speaker 3: that run and it's like, all right, one home run,
- 3:10Speaker 3: we can deal with that. Then a couple more came
- 3:13Speaker 3: in and eased all the ways, pitch counts, all the
- 3:16Speaker 3: way messed up already, and it's just it's tough when
- 3:20Speaker 3: you're expecting a stop to come at some point. I
- 3:23Speaker 3: get right moment at some point, and it just never
- 3:26Speaker 3: came the whole series. And there's just so many of
- 3:30Speaker 3: those moments that piled up together, and that's baseball. But
- 3:35Speaker 3: if you're going to be a good team, you got
- 3:37Speaker 3: to stop it and put your foot down at some point,
- 3:39Speaker 3: where are you thinking, Josh.
- 3:41Speaker 2: Oh, yeah, for sure.
- 3:42Speaker 4: You know, the past five games have been anything but
- 3:45Speaker 4: pleasant for them. There's there have been some bright spots
- 3:48Speaker 4: in there, as you mentioned, ing the six and the
- 3:50Speaker 4: third perfect you know, having to lead all the way
- 3:53Speaker 4: to the ninth inning.
- 3:54Speaker 2: There have been some bright spots.
- 3:55Speaker 4: But realistically, it just highlights what we've kind of always
- 4:00Speaker 4: highlighted with this team.
- 4:02Speaker 2: When one of their strengths is.
- 4:03Speaker 4: Not doing well, it's going to be you know, really
- 4:08Speaker 4: eye opening, you know, a problem, and I mean their
- 4:11Speaker 4: biggest strength. I mean, we go back to our grades
- 4:13Speaker 4: a couple of days ago. You know, starting pitching was
- 4:15Speaker 4: one of our strengths and that's what everybody, you know,
- 4:19Speaker 4: agreed with the various tweets. There were some disagreements and
- 4:23Speaker 4: some other categories, but starting pitching was one that everybody's Okay, yes,
- 4:27Speaker 4: starting pitching, we can agree.
- 4:28Speaker 2: And you know, your.
- 4:30Speaker 4: Defense isn't good enough and the bullpen isn't good enough
- 4:32Speaker 4: for your starting pitching to have, you know, the struggles
- 4:35Speaker 4: that it had the past series, and as you mentioned,
- 4:38Speaker 4: Mark missed out on some opportunities in the times that
- 4:41Speaker 4: they seem to dig get the ball rolling was you know,
- 4:43Speaker 4: when the game was out of reach, Ben got to.
- 4:46Speaker 2: Play the game. You never want to give those in
- 4:48Speaker 2: bats away. So kudos to those guys.
- 4:49Speaker 4: You know still you know, hey, that's going on the
- 4:51Speaker 4: back of your car. That's you know, that's getting ready. Yeah,
- 4:57Speaker 4: it's getting you ready for the next day. You know,
- 4:59Speaker 4: take that momentum to the next day to say okay,
- 5:01Speaker 4: and it would have get at bat whatever the case
- 5:03Speaker 4: may be. But as you said, just a lot of
- 5:06Speaker 4: missed opportunities. And you know, you want to protect leads
- 5:09Speaker 4: when you got them, and more than anything, you want
- 5:12Speaker 4: to protect home.
- 5:13Speaker 2: And you know that's the biggest thing that I got.
- 5:15Speaker 4: This is as you said, we spoke about having to
- 5:18Speaker 4: beat Saint Louis, but for them to come in and
- 5:20Speaker 4: sweep you at home, you got to go back, not
- 5:23Speaker 4: necessarily to the drawing board, but you got to stop
- 5:25Speaker 4: the bleeding at some point. And you know what that's
- 5:28Speaker 4: that's what they got to go back to doing, is
- 5:30Speaker 4: just say stop the bleeding, not over you know, overreact.
- 5:33Speaker 2: As you mentioned, Mark, it's baseball. You're going to have
- 5:35Speaker 2: these things.
- 5:35Speaker 4: But don't let five games turn into ten, eleven, twelve,
- 5:40Speaker 4: you know, right, the ship no pun intended.
- 5:42Speaker 1: Well, and to build off of what you're saying, Josh,
- 5:45Speaker 1: I mean there were some games you were yeah, they
- 5:47Speaker 1: hit the ball well when they were out of it,
- 5:48Speaker 1: but like and twice in this series they fell behind
- 5:51Speaker 1: by a significant margin and they battled back into the game.
- 5:56Speaker 1: They made it a one run game, and they had
- 5:58Speaker 1: a chance to tie the game, they had a chance
- 5:59Speaker 1: to take the lead, and they failed to do that.
- 6:03Speaker 1: And then to follow that up, the bullpen let it
- 6:06Speaker 1: get out of hand again. Like that's what happened today
- 6:09Speaker 1: as we're recording this on Thursday. So yeah, it's it's
- 6:12Speaker 1: it's tough. It's tough. Like we've seen what they look
- 6:15Speaker 1: like when everything's clicking, but right now, like in this series,
- 6:18Speaker 1: just nothing clicked. I mean the offense was probably the
- 6:20Speaker 1: best part of it, but they were due for a series.
- 6:24Speaker 1: You know, not everyone in the starting rotation was going
- 6:26Speaker 1: to finish the year with a three two, five ERA
- 6:29Speaker 1: or better. Like that's just the reality of it. That's
- 6:32Speaker 1: that's just not how it is. I Mean, this is
- 6:33Speaker 1: a talented rotation, but people just don't do that in
- 6:37Speaker 1: Major League Baseball or not a lot of people. So yes,
- 6:42Speaker 1: so but then to pair that with like the bullpen,
- 6:46Speaker 1: just it looks like a bullpen. It looked like a
- 6:49Speaker 1: pitching rotation or a pitching staff. I should say that's
- 6:52Speaker 1: worn down. That's worn down that in the especially the
- 6:57Speaker 1: bullpen where the starters weren't able to give what they had.
- 7:02Speaker 1: And the bullpen's been taxed this month and you look,
- 7:05Speaker 1: they haven't had an off day in a while.
- 7:06Speaker 3: And ten ten days. I just counted it ten days.
- 7:09Speaker 1: And why they're making moves with Barco, with Davinski, with Hotel,
- 7:13Speaker 1: like everybody's going up and down right now, and it's
- 7:16Speaker 1: just they're not covering innings. And when you do that,
- 7:19Speaker 1: it makes everything harder. So we're gonna take a quick
- 7:22Speaker 1: break and when we come back, we're gonna get a
- 7:25Speaker 1: player's perspective on what it's like when the hard times
- 7:28Speaker 1: are coming.
- 7:34Speaker 3: It's April, which means I'm trying to get out of
- 7:36Speaker 3: the house and go to events, especially Pirates games, which

- 8:35Speaker 1: All right, so Josh, you've been on teams that entered
- 8:39Speaker 1: the season expecting to win. In some years, you guys
- 8:42Speaker 1: started hot, you had some slumps, but I mean, I
- 8:46Speaker 1: remember there are two instances. Felt like twenty thirteen, things
- 8:50Speaker 1: went smooth for the most part of the year, but
- 8:52Speaker 1: your back was against the wall. But twenty fourteen, I
- 8:55Speaker 1: remember Cutch got injured. I think you guys lost like
- 8:58Speaker 1: ten in a row in the middle of that season,
- 9:00Speaker 1: and then in twenty fifteen, you guys were limping out
- 9:05Speaker 1: of the gate. You didn't wake up until mid May,
- 9:07Speaker 1: and everyone's like, what the hell? This was supposed to
- 9:09Speaker 1: be the best team out of all of them, and
- 9:11Speaker 1: you ended up winning ninety eight games, So yeah, and
- 9:15Speaker 1: you did you were you weren't art and what yeah?
- 9:19Speaker 1: Because of the damn team that just swept the Pirates
- 9:22Speaker 1: this week. But what's going on in a clubhouse when
- 9:28Speaker 1: nothing is going right on the field, When stars like
- 9:31Speaker 1: Paul Skeins are getting taken yard by a rookie, when
- 9:34Speaker 1: you know veterans like Brian Reynolds are making rookie mistakes,
- 9:38Speaker 1: when your hot bats are cooling down a little bit,
- 9:41Speaker 1: and when your bullpen's just not bullpenning the right way,
- 9:44Speaker 1: what's it like in the clubhouse. What's the message from
- 9:46Speaker 1: the veterans? What's going on?
- 9:50Speaker 4: You got to weather the storm? And you got to
- 9:52Speaker 4: show up every day. Everybody knows what's going on, you know,
- 9:57Speaker 4: the past five games or whatever.
- 9:59Speaker 2: You fill it.
- 10:00Speaker 4: You all you know in the clubhouse after the game,
- 10:03Speaker 4: not necessarily before the game. You know, before the game,
- 10:05Speaker 4: you know everybody's hey, today's day, and you know after
- 10:09Speaker 4: the game, after you know, another loss.
- 10:10Speaker 2: It's like, dang man, it can weigh on some people.
- 10:14Speaker 4: But you got to have a clubhouse full of guys,
- 10:16Speaker 4: and not necessarily full of guys, but you have to
- 10:18Speaker 4: have a couple in there that that know how to
- 10:19Speaker 4: ride that that even kill. Even when you're going on
- 10:22Speaker 4: the ten game win streak, you know, you don't want
- 10:25Speaker 4: to get too high, just like when you go on
- 10:26Speaker 4: the ten game lotule streak, you don't want to get
- 10:28Speaker 4: too low. And at the end of the day, knowing
- 10:31Speaker 4: that the game before does not affect the next day.
- 10:34Speaker 4: But momentum is real. It's something that you see with
- 10:38Speaker 4: hitters while you say they going to slump.
- 10:40Speaker 2: So it's the game of baseball. There's a lot of uncontrollables.
- 10:44Speaker 2: You know, you get the.
- 10:44Speaker 4: Ball hard and you know it's right at somebody, and
- 10:47Speaker 4: basically you just got to keep the morale up there
- 10:50Speaker 4: are things that you might have to do differently showing
- 10:53Speaker 4: up to the field where you know, you take you
- 10:55Speaker 4: take inventory of your losses and how you have lost,
- 10:59Speaker 4: especially if they're have and moments there where it's okay, man,
- 11:02Speaker 4: we didn't get the timely hit.
- 11:04Speaker 2: Those are things that you don't really worry about.
- 11:07Speaker 4: Sometimes you gonna get it, sometimes you want, but you know,
- 11:10Speaker 4: you can also look at moments to say, okay, maybe
- 11:12Speaker 4: I didn't get that hit because I.
- 11:13Speaker 2: Was too aggressive.
- 11:15Speaker 4: Because when when the team is struggling, you know, everybody
- 11:17Speaker 4: feels like they want to help the team with that
- 11:19Speaker 4: big hit or you know, with that big start on
- 11:22Speaker 4: the mound or today's day. You know, I'm gonna go
- 11:24Speaker 4: seven today and then next thing, you know, the guy's
- 11:26Speaker 4: going two or three innings, you know, from some unforeseen events,
- 11:30Speaker 4: and then it's like all right, here we go. But
- 11:33Speaker 4: knowing that it's one hundred and sixty two games, every
- 11:36Speaker 4: game matters, and good teams still have have slumps, have
- 11:41Speaker 4: skids where they might lose some here and there, but
- 11:44Speaker 4: they don't let you know it prolonged. And you need
- 11:48Speaker 4: guys in that clubhouse that are gonna say, you know,
- 11:50Speaker 4: keep keep standing of course, guys keep fighting. Even in
- 11:53Speaker 4: those losses. As you said, they fought back and got
- 11:55Speaker 4: within one run. So those are positives to build off
- 11:58Speaker 4: of to say, you know what guys are. Every time
- 12:01Speaker 4: we were in the struggle, if that team scored first,
- 12:04Speaker 4: it might be one he they got to score more
- 12:06Speaker 4: than want to beat us, you know, or he we
- 12:08Speaker 4: was gonna we got to score to win anyway. You know,
- 12:10Speaker 4: you find ways to say, hey, we were gonna have
- 12:13Speaker 4: to score to win anyway. But you literally just got
- 12:17Speaker 4: to keep them more, rile up and know that, bro.
- 12:21Speaker 4: It can change from one pitch. It doesn't necessarily mean
- 12:23Speaker 4: a game. It could be one pitch, and that pitch
- 12:26Speaker 4: could be you know, a basis loaded strike out from
- 12:30Speaker 4: the pitcher. It could be a basis loaded walk with
- 12:32Speaker 4: two outs that just got the game tied run. There's
- 12:34Speaker 4: so many ways that you know, a team can break
- 12:38Speaker 4: out of this, and it's not just from one game.
- 12:40Speaker 4: Sometimes it could be one pitch, can be one play,
- 12:42Speaker 4: it could just be a sequence of events. But you
- 12:44Speaker 4: just got to stay the course and not get too
- 12:46Speaker 4: high and I get too low. Easier said than done,
- 12:49Speaker 4: But you gotta have guys just like Paul I'm sure
- 12:52Speaker 4: he's you see him shake it off, It'll be a
- 12:54Speaker 4: lot easier for the rest of those guys in there
- 12:56Speaker 4: to shake it off. So I think that's something that
- 12:58Speaker 4: you got picture like that, being able to shake it off.
- 13:00Speaker 2: I think that's that's big.
- 13:03Speaker 1: Yeah, someone who's you know, covered baseball players thoroughly in
- 13:08Speaker 1: the last however many years I've been doing it. One
- 13:10Speaker 1: thing that really stands out to me is just the
- 13:13Speaker 1: difference in emotional consistency between them and the people who
- 13:17Speaker 1: support them. Where it's like for football players, the fans
- 13:21Speaker 1: are intense and crazy and in some cases they are too. Yeah,
- 13:26Speaker 1: you know, like golf their supporters are pretty calm for
- 13:30Speaker 1: the most part, and golfers are like calm, you know.
- 13:34Speaker 1: Like it's like the vibe is similar NBA. I mean,
- 13:38Speaker 1: the regular season is like whatever, and like that's kind
- 13:41Speaker 1: of reflected by the players, and then you.
- 13:43Speaker 2: Get to the playoffs and matters and it's intense.
- 13:46Speaker 1: But like in baseball, like there's like memes about it,
- 13:49Speaker 1: Like it will be a random Tuesday in May and
- 13:52Speaker 1: some reliever will blow a three run lead in one
- 13:55Speaker 1: game out of one hundred and sixty two and it's
- 13:57Speaker 1: like fans are like, I'm gonna burn my house down
- 14:01Speaker 1: because of this. Like it's just like like, yeah, they
- 14:04Speaker 1: go nuts. And because baseball is such a unique sport,
- 14:08Speaker 1: you feel so invested into it. Because you're watching them
- 14:11Speaker 1: play every single day, everything feels so important, and it's
- 14:15Speaker 1: not wrong for people to.
- 14:17Speaker 2: Have that feeling.
- 14:18Speaker 1: It is important. Like Josh said, every game matters, Every
- 14:20Speaker 1: bad has a meaning and a purpose. But when you're
- 14:23Speaker 1: playing it, you can't allow the highs to get too
- 14:27Speaker 1: high and the lows to get too low, because if
- 14:29Speaker 1: you get addicted to the dopamine that comes from a win,
- 14:33Speaker 1: from a four to four day, Josh more than anyone
- 14:37Speaker 1: else here, he knows how hard those days are to
- 14:39Speaker 1: come by. I mean, he's been on teams that won
- 14:42Speaker 1: ninety eight games. It's hard to win one game at
- 14:45Speaker 1: this level of Yes, even the best teams ever lose
- 14:49Speaker 1: a third of the games in their season. So like,
- 14:52Speaker 1: that's that's just how hard this sport is. So if
- 14:55Speaker 1: you approach it with the emotional intensity that other sports
- 15:02Speaker 1: kind of require, you're gonna drive yourself nuts and you're
- 15:05Speaker 1: not gonna last long in most cases. So yeah, So
- 15:10Speaker 1: I like what you had to say. There with just
- 15:12Speaker 1: you know, you gotta you gotta look at it and say,
- 15:16Speaker 1: you know what, hey, we've won a couple of games
- 15:18Speaker 1: in a row. Two we're gonna lose. Like it's it
- 15:21Speaker 1: is what it is. You're five hundred through April. That's fine.
- 15:26Speaker 1: Last year your season was over in April. This year
- 15:29Speaker 1: you're four and a half games out of first place
- 15:31Speaker 1: in April, and some of the teams ahead of you
- 15:34Speaker 1: in the standings probably aren't gonna be there much longer today.
- 15:37Speaker 1: If you win tomorrow, everything feels better. That's just kind
- 15:41Speaker 1: of how baseball goes.
- 15:42Speaker 4: And there sometimes right and then sometimes it's the manager.
- 15:48Speaker 4: You know, it can be guys too, you know, on
- 15:50Speaker 4: the team, but sometimes the manager might come in and
- 15:52Speaker 4: see it kind of dead after a couple losses, and
- 15:54Speaker 4: he might be like, hey, man, turn the music back on,
- 15:56Speaker 4: you know, because after a win, music is sown. You
- 15:59Speaker 4: lose about five straight. Now, guys coming in, they like
- 16:02Speaker 4: some The one guy that has the music is like, things,
- 16:04Speaker 4: should I turn the music on?
- 16:06Speaker 2: I don't want nobody to get mad? But then what, hey, man,
- 16:09Speaker 2: turn the music on?
- 16:10Speaker 4: You know you wanted to keep it kind of the same,
- 16:13Speaker 4: you know, because I mean, at the end of the day,
- 16:14Speaker 4: if you basing it off of wins and losses, this
- 16:17Speaker 4: is gonna be a lot of quiet nights after games,
- 16:19Speaker 4: you know, even if you look hut of your games.
- 16:21Speaker 2: So a lot of it too is stand of course.
- 16:23Speaker 4: And I've had managers come in and say, hey, after
- 16:26Speaker 4: losing so many men, turn the music back on, come
- 16:28Speaker 4: back to the marrow fellas, And sometimes that's all guys
- 16:30Speaker 4: need to hear, because you know, guys will wear it
- 16:32Speaker 4: on the sleeve.
- 16:33Speaker 3: Yeah, Don Kelly was smiling pregame before Thursday's game and
- 16:37Speaker 3: going in. I mean they vibes and the were high,
- 16:41Speaker 3: like people were joking. They're all like celebrating just getting
- 16:44Speaker 3: before the game, before the game.
- 16:45Speaker 1: It's a five game losing streaking. It's not the end
- 16:48Speaker 1: of the world. I mean, it's not good. I'm not
- 16:50Speaker 1: going to sit here and say like, of course, not
- 16:53Speaker 1: nothing about no no opinion I had on this team
- 16:56Speaker 1: change this week, right, it is what it is. I like,
- 16:59Speaker 1: I said, i's our April report card. I said, I
- 17:02Speaker 1: predicted them to go eighty and eighty two. I said,
- 17:04Speaker 1: I think they're a little better than that now, but
- 17:06Speaker 1: not by much. I still stand on that this is
- 17:10Speaker 1: what this team is and it needs to get better.
- 17:12Speaker 1: That's all there is too. So we're gonna take another
- 17:14Speaker 1: quick break and then when we'll come back, we're gonna
- 17:17Speaker 1: talk about how maybe it can turn around.

- 18:55Speaker 1: All right, guys, So the Pirates they've lost five straight.
- 18:58Speaker 1: They're in last place with scu eyes falling. The big
- 19:01Speaker 1: bad Cincinnati Reds are in town. What can be done?
- 19:05Speaker 1: Let's just go. We can keep this segment pretty quick.
- 19:08Speaker 1: What's one thing you're looking for? Uh, to see the
- 19:11Speaker 1: Pirates do to turn their fortunes around this weekend in
- 19:15Speaker 1: the Steel City.
- 19:16Speaker 3: I'll start here. I want to see a game where
- 19:19Speaker 3: the bullpen just go scoreless and does not allow a walk,
- 19:24Speaker 3: just give up a couple hits, whatever, but no walks,
- 19:27Speaker 3: no runs from the bullpen, at least one game. Just
- 19:30Speaker 3: give us some consistency. That's one thing I'm really looking
- 19:33Speaker 3: out for is just a boost of morales to this bullpen.
- 19:40Speaker 4: They gotta win a serious but it's got to it's
- 19:43Speaker 4: got to start with game one. Granted they've been five
- 19:46Speaker 4: games skid. The biggest thing is this, this opening game
- 19:51Speaker 4: of the series. You got a division opponent, one that
- 19:55Speaker 4: you're very familiar with, one that city are very similar.
- 20:01Speaker 4: They don't really like each other. You know, what, what
- 20:04Speaker 4: better way? And I mean I'm from the hometown of Cincinnati,
- 20:07Speaker 4: so I mean that doesn't mean anything to me.
- 20:09Speaker 2: I'm not a Ridge fan.
- 20:10Speaker 4: Yeah, but what better way, you know, just like twenty
- 20:15Speaker 4: thirteen Wildcar again.
- 20:16Speaker 2: What better way? Get off your skid. Let the REGs
- 20:19Speaker 2: come in town. Who's kind of you know, riding a
- 20:21Speaker 2: high horse right now? Yeah, flip flop places. Let them
- 20:25Speaker 2: feel with you know, the parts of them feeling.
- 20:28Speaker 4: So that's that's what I No better team, you know,
- 20:32Speaker 4: to to write the ship no pun intendent again than
- 20:35Speaker 4: the Ricks against the Ricks.
- 20:38Speaker 1: I think they need to burn the bouncy house down.
- 20:42Speaker 1: They haven't won since they bought Connor that bouncy house.
- 20:45Speaker 1: And while yeah, he he does look like he enjoyed
- 20:48Speaker 1: it in that video. Yeah, I think, yes, they need
- 20:54Speaker 1: to take it out back, put some gasoline on it
- 20:57Speaker 1: and torch itah, and they need to stand around it
- 20:59Speaker 1: to get Like in ted Lasso when they all burn
- 21:02Speaker 1: something together in the locker room.
- 21:04Speaker 4: Uh, do that?
- 21:05Speaker 1: Throw the door of the explorer taborle and the legos
- 21:07Speaker 1: and crayons and whatever the hell else there was. Throw
- 21:10Speaker 1: it all in there, burn it out. He's a grown
- 21:12Speaker 1: man now, he's married. For God's sakes, he's your shortstop.
- 21:15Speaker 1: No more bouncy house for him, No more bouncy house
- 21:17Speaker 1: for anyone. Burn the bouncy house and turn this season around.
- 21:21Speaker 1: Now that's that's uh now I do actually on that note,
- 21:25Speaker 1: they need to keep doing that kind of stuff. Yeah
- 21:28Speaker 1: not maybe, I mean I think they've met their bouncy
- 21:30Speaker 1: house quota. But like when when you lose a couple
- 21:34Speaker 1: of games and you stop doing the cone thing or
- 21:36Speaker 1: you stop doing the handshakes, like that's not good. Like
- 21:41Speaker 1: that that shows that you're letting the lows get to
- 21:43Speaker 1: you keep playing your game. This is a team that's
- 21:47Speaker 1: they're a decent ball club. We don't know how good
- 21:49Speaker 1: they are, but they're better than what they've played like.
- 21:52Speaker 1: And if you let it start bothering you, then it's
- 21:55Speaker 1: going to affect your play. You got to keep your
- 21:57Speaker 1: level head. And I agree with Josh. You win a
- 21:59Speaker 1: series this week, guy against the Rads, who are one
- 22:01Speaker 1: of the better teams in baseball. Right now, you leave
- 22:03Speaker 1: this home stand disappointed, but in the grand scheme of things,
- 22:07Speaker 1: you're like, you know what, Yeah, at least we're not
- 22:09Speaker 1: leaving here with a bad taste in our mouths. So
- 22:11Speaker 1: I think they did right, or they will have done
- 22:14Speaker 1: right if they can get this right on the weekend.
- 22:16Speaker 1: So that's all I got. Any final thoughts. I know
- 22:20Speaker 1: Josh has some tell them where what they need to do.
- 22:22Speaker 4: Josh Man, hit that subscribe button and after you hit
- 22:26Speaker 4: that scan the QR code, get you some some swag
- 22:29Speaker 4: from the Buckle Territory shop.
- 22:31Speaker 2: Man.
- 22:31Speaker 4: We got all types of assortments from T shirts to hoodies.
- 22:35Speaker 4: You got snap back hats, I believe, coffee mugs, a
- 22:37Speaker 4: little Duffel bag, even beanies. You know, weather's been unpredictable,
- 22:41Speaker 4: still kind of chili outside and for those that are
- 22:45Speaker 4: expecting to get warm, they didn en shure it. I
- 22:46Speaker 4: think there's some baby onesie some you know, bucket has
- 22:49Speaker 4: to protect your head from the sun rays.
- 22:52Speaker 2: Yeah, there we go a little talent in case you
- 22:54Speaker 2: get sweaty.
- 22:54Speaker 4: And you know it's not quite a diaper bag, but
- 22:57Speaker 4: you can use that, you know, as a diaper bag
- 22:58Speaker 4: if you know, you got the baby in your hand
- 23:01Speaker 4: and you know you need to clean up a spill
- 23:03Speaker 4: or something. But you know, Bucco Territory skin that QR
- 23:06Speaker 4: CO gets some cool swag. And also hit that subscribe
- 23:09Speaker 4: button as well.
- 23:12Speaker 3: And I'll just finish it off with show off at
- 23:15Speaker 3: P and C Park everyone. I know the weather hasn't
- 23:17Speaker 3: been the best down in Pittsburgh, but this Pirates team
- 23:20Speaker 3: is better when there's more people in the crowd. And
- 23:24Speaker 3: it's been a little sad scene the stands a P
- 23:27Speaker 3: and C so empty, and I feel like this team
- 23:30Speaker 3: is better and deserves a little bit more support. So
- 23:32Speaker 3: I'll be back down from Michigan to see you guys soon.
- 23:35Speaker 3: Not sure when, but pack it until I get there
- 23:38Speaker 3: for me, So leave it on that all right.
