Early Thursday morning, a backyard fire on Equestrian Drive in Mount Pleasant quickly escalated into a major blaze that tore through the side of a home and shattered windows—prompting a massive emergency response with over a dozen vehicles from both Mount Pleasant and Charleston departments. Crews knocked it down in just 30 minutes, but the damage was extensive, especially to the rear of the house. Thankfully, no one was injured.
