- 0:01[SPEAKER_01]: Hey friend, welcome back to Bible Track.
- 0:03[SPEAKER_01]: Echoes, thank you so much for tuning in today.
- 0:05[SPEAKER_01]: I so appreciate the fact that you would listen to me, monologue towards you, but I'd love to make this a dialogue.
- 0:13[SPEAKER_01]: If you'd like to talk back to me, if you'd like to carry on the conversation, even outside of this regularly scheduled program,
- 0:21[SPEAKER_01]: I'd love to hear from you.
- 0:22[SPEAKER_01]: You can text me at 3-0-9-3-1-6-7-2-4-0.
- 0:31[SPEAKER_01]: That's 3-0-9-3-1-6-7-2-4-0.
- 0:34[SPEAKER_01]: I've got some links exciting to share with you.
- 0:37[SPEAKER_01]: It'll be the first time it's on a radio in just a little bit, but before we get there, I want to tell you.
- 0:43[SPEAKER_01]: At Bible Tracks Incorporate at BTI, quality is not
- 0:50[SPEAKER_01]: optional.
- 0:51[SPEAKER_01]: See quality isn't a preference for us, it's not a passing idea, it's a standard.
- 0:59[SPEAKER_01]: One that has shaped this ministry since 1938.
- 1:03[SPEAKER_01]: For years, BTI has been built through careful work, faithful, stewardship,
- 1:08[SPEAKER_01]: and a commitment to doing things the right way, every peace, every process, and every decision has been carried through seasons of prayer and a weight of responsibility.
- 1:20[SPEAKER_01]: That doesn't mean we're perfect, that doesn't mean we don't stumble, but we've been built over time, and we are refined with purpose.
- 1:32[SPEAKER_01]: I'm looking down right now if you can imagine, I'm looking down at some of the brand marks, the logos, the designs that have encapsulated this ministry since all the way back in the mid 1900s to think back this ministry started in 1938 and I'm looking down at these honestly very well done logos.
- 1:57[SPEAKER_01]: And they look so nostalgic to me.
- 2:00[SPEAKER_01]: They have such a flair for a legacy or about them, if you will.
- 2:07[SPEAKER_01]: But as we pursue quality as an integral part of our ministry culture, we require attention to detail and a commitment to continual improvement.
- 2:20[SPEAKER_01]: I'm looking down at,
- 2:22[SPEAKER_01]: 3, 4 different logos here.
- 2:25[SPEAKER_01]: They have kept up with the times they've been tweaked as necessary.
- 2:30[SPEAKER_01]: And if we fall short, as I just said, in our desire for a continual improvement, we strive to have the discipline to address our shortcomings.
- 2:38[SPEAKER_01]: This is not a pass of standard, it's very active in our daily project workflow.
- 2:43[SPEAKER_01]: Quality isn't recommended at BTI, it's not recommended, it's required.
- 2:48[SPEAKER_01]: And this philosophy has shaped our work in the past and continues to define how we move forward.
- 2:55[SPEAKER_01]: And that's why I'm taking this opportunity over the radio, realizing that I do not have a visual component to share with you.
- 3:01[SPEAKER_01]: I can only do this through speech, but I want to tell you about a new brand system.
- 3:09[SPEAKER_01]: Here's why, First Samuel 16 verse 7 says,
- 3:14[SPEAKER_01]: From man, look at on the outward appearance, but the Lord, look at on the heart, with our commitment to quality.
- 3:22[SPEAKER_01]: We took time to evaluate how we present and represent ourselves.
- 3:27[SPEAKER_01]: See, a brand system is more than a logo.
- 3:31[SPEAKER_01]: It is the overarching complete expression of how we communicate, visually, verbally, and structurally.
- 3:40[SPEAKER_01]: It reflects who we are at our core, and this brand system has been built with intention.
- 3:48[SPEAKER_01]: We've spent months, quite literally, months, preparing, praying and refining every detail.
- 3:55[SPEAKER_01]: This process was shaped by three things.
- 3:58[SPEAKER_01]: Our legacy.
- 3:59[SPEAKER_01]: our vision and you, our valued partners.
- 4:04[SPEAKER_01]: This brand system introduces updated colors, typography and logo marks, and the coming months these updates will be reflected across all communication and materials.
- 4:15[SPEAKER_01]: As always, of course, if you have any questions, don't hesitate to reach out.
- 4:18[SPEAKER_01]: But what you're going to see is the brackets that have made up the little Bible logo mark.
- 4:26[SPEAKER_01]: They're just being tweaked just a little bit.
- 4:28[SPEAKER_01]: We're making a little bit of a knot, a hat tip towards legacy, towards nostalgia, kind of bringing in some typography from
- 4:35[SPEAKER_01]: the older days, just a little bit, but also using them in such a way that they look not modern, but they look classic.
- 4:43[SPEAKER_01]: They look timeless.
- 4:46[SPEAKER_01]: Now I want to encourage you as you see our new logo marks on our
- 4:52[SPEAKER_01]: prayer letters, newsletters and things like that.
- 4:54[SPEAKER_01]: I'd love to hear your opinion.
- 4:55[SPEAKER_01]: I'd love to hear what you think.
- 4:57[SPEAKER_01]: You can text me at 309-316-724-0R Desire is truly just to represent Christ, our Savior, in an even better way.
- 5:11[SPEAKER_01]: I'm so thankful for the fact that we get to partner with folks like you, that we get to work alongside you as we endeavor to get the gospel.
- 5:20[SPEAKER_01]: to the world.
- 5:22[SPEAKER_01]: Now I told you I have something exciting to talk to you about.
- 5:26[SPEAKER_01]: See, we recently just produced another gospel film.
- 5:30[SPEAKER_01]: Now this gospel film though is the first of what I hope to be many, the very first foreign language gospel film.
- 5:40[SPEAKER_01]: You see, we had the opportunity to go to the
- 5:45[SPEAKER_01]: Now, this trip to Panama, we realize down there in Central America only about 600 miles.
- 5:51[SPEAKER_01]: Panama is north of the equator.
- 5:55[SPEAKER_01]: Of course, the Panama Canal is there and all of that.
- 5:57[SPEAKER_01]: This country, Spanish-speaking country.
- 6:00[SPEAKER_01]: These people need the gospel.
- 6:01[SPEAKER_01]: There's five or six million people in Panama.
- 6:04[SPEAKER_01]: And everything of one of them, absolutely without a doubt, if they are unsaved at this moment, they need Christ.
- 6:13[SPEAKER_01]: And so we had the privilege of partnering with a wonderful missionary down there.
- 6:19[SPEAKER_01]: Isaiah is Deer Rife, Chair of the Handsome, which is a last name.
- 6:23[SPEAKER_01]: Good folks, we have the chance to put together an update video for them.
- 6:28[SPEAKER_01]: They ended up coming furlough.
- 6:29[SPEAKER_01]: They're actually on furlough right now on back in the states.
- 6:33[SPEAKER_01]: And they are preparing to go back to Panama to plant a church.
- 6:38[SPEAKER_01]: And they were just finishing up their very first term.
- 6:40[SPEAKER_01]: They learned the language.
- 6:41[SPEAKER_01]: They've worked alongside some veteran missionaries.
- 6:44[SPEAKER_01]: They're coming back to re-up re-arm and get ready to go back and plant a church for the glory of God.
- 6:50[SPEAKER_01]: and we had the opportunity to make a gospel film for them.
- 6:53[SPEAKER_01]: We recorded this gospel film in Spanish, but we also made an English version.
- 7:00[SPEAKER_01]: And what I'd like to do now is to share the audio of it with you.
- 7:03[SPEAKER_01]: You'll hear some sound effects and things like that.
- 7:07[SPEAKER_01]: If I want you to imagine a young, panamanian man walking through the city of Panama, walking through Catholic churches, walking in darkness, but there came a moment when actually he found a gospel tract lying in a gutter, he picked it up,
- 7:29[SPEAKER_01]: and he'd be yet to read it.
- 7:31[SPEAKER_01]: And God did a work in his life.
- 7:34[SPEAKER_01]: That's what this story is about.
- 7:37[SPEAKER_01]: That's what this film tells the story of.
- 7:42[SPEAKER_01]: So as you listen, the next sound you're gonna hear is probably a bell.
- 7:46[SPEAKER_01]: Imagine a bell there in Panama ring.
- 7:49[SPEAKER_01]: a city belt, a church belt tower and you're gonna hear this voice.
- 7:56[SPEAKER_01]: Tell his story.
- 7:57[SPEAKER_01]: In English, of course, not in Spanish.
- 7:58[SPEAKER_01]: I'm not assuming that you speak Spanish.
- 8:00[SPEAKER_01]: Maybe you do.
- 8:01[SPEAKER_01]: Well, if you do, you can text me.
- 8:04[SPEAKER_01]: I'll tell you at the end how you can get a hold of me to get a link to this on YouTube.
- 8:09[SPEAKER_01]: and God's use it already in a great way, both in English and in Spanish.
- 8:13[SPEAKER_01]: And we're excited about what God's gonna do as we try to get it to hundreds of thousands, maybe even millions of panomanians here in the near future.
- 8:21[SPEAKER_01]: Listen now with a soft heart and open ears.
- 8:26[SPEAKER_02]: I've been doing this my whole life.
- 8:30[SPEAKER_02]: Liding the candles, saying the prayers, crossing myself before I eat,
- 8:37[SPEAKER_02]: They said it would bring peace, but I don't feel any closer to God.
- 8:44[SPEAKER_02]: It all feels like walking into circles.
- 8:50[SPEAKER_02]: Still, I keep going.
- 8:53[SPEAKER_02]: Because I don't know what else to do.
- 8:56[SPEAKER_02]: I thought if I just kept doing the right things, God would eventually need me.
- 9:07[SPEAKER_02]: I don't drink.
- 9:09[SPEAKER_02]: I don't steal.
- 9:10[SPEAKER_00]: I go to church.
- 9:12[SPEAKER_02]: I confess, but I still feel like I'm carrying something I can't shake.
- 9:19[SPEAKER_02]: I keep repeating the prayers, but they don't preach past the ceiling.
- 9:25[SPEAKER_02]: I do everything they told me to do.
- 9:28[SPEAKER_02]: And still, I feel lost.
- 9:32[SPEAKER_02]: They promised peace, but I feel
- 9:36[SPEAKER_02]: is silence.
- 9:39[SPEAKER_02]: There's a verse I heard once.
- 9:41[SPEAKER_02]: There's a way which seemed to be right into a man, but the end thereof are the ways of death.
- 9:48[SPEAKER_01]: I don't know what it means, but I can't stop thinking about it.
- 9:54[SPEAKER_02]: I don't even know what I'm looking for anymore.
- 9:57[SPEAKER_02]: I've been walking this road for so long.
- 10:01[SPEAKER_02]: I forgot what the destination was supposed to be.
- 10:04[SPEAKER_02]: Everything blends together now.
- 10:07[SPEAKER_02]: Streets, prayers, rules, silence.
- 10:17[SPEAKER_02]: But today, feel different.
- 10:21[SPEAKER_02]: I passed it at first, just a little piece of paper on the ground.
- 10:29[SPEAKER_02]: but something made me stop.
- 10:31[SPEAKER_02]: It looked at a place, bright, clean, alive.
- 10:37[SPEAKER_02]: I knew I needed to see what it said.
- 10:41[SPEAKER_02]: It said, I was a sinner.
- 10:45[SPEAKER_02]: Not just imperfect, not just as struggling, but guilty, separated from God.
- 10:53[SPEAKER_02]: It didn't stop there, but God commended His love toward us, and that while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.
- 11:04[SPEAKER_02]: He didn't wait for me to get it right.
- 11:07[SPEAKER_02]: He came for me.
- 11:08[SPEAKER_02]: As I am, it said salvation wasn't through religion or works or rituals.
- 11:19[SPEAKER_02]: not by works of righteousness, which we have done.
- 11:23[SPEAKER_02]: But according to His mercy, He saved us.
- 11:27[SPEAKER_02]: Not Christ's tradition, not Christ had effort, just Christ.
- 11:33[SPEAKER_02]: I'm the way, the truth, and the life.
- 11:37[SPEAKER_02]: No man come into the Father, but by me.
- 11:41[SPEAKER_02]: It was so simple.
- 11:43[SPEAKER_02]: And I had missed it all my life.
- 11:47[SPEAKER_02]: I didn't pray like before.
- 11:49[SPEAKER_02]: I didn't count beads.
- 11:50[SPEAKER_02]: I didn't light a candle.
- 11:52[SPEAKER_02]: I just believed for my grace I he saved through faith and that and out of yourselves, it is a gift of God.
- 12:02[SPEAKER_02]: I didn't come to earn anything.
- 12:05[SPEAKER_02]: I just came to receive what he already gave.
- 12:10[SPEAKER_02]: I cried out to Jesus, and he heard me, who, so ever shall call upon the name of the Lord, shall be saved.
- 12:19[SPEAKER_02]: In the middle of the reign, I was born again.
- 12:23[SPEAKER_02]: Not a vernogen, not a tradition, but of the Spirit.
- 12:28[SPEAKER_02]: And now I know him, now I know.
- 12:33[SPEAKER_02]: This truth is not mine to keep, someone else is still searching, just like I was.
- 12:42[SPEAKER_01]: Friend, is there something that you heard that causes your heart strings to be tugged?
- 12:49[SPEAKER_01]: Causes you to realize you need to save your causes you to realize you don't know Christ.
- 12:53[SPEAKER_01]: the announcer will come on in just a moment, and tell you how you can contact us.
- 12:58[SPEAKER_01]: Text me at 309-316-7240.
- 13:03[SPEAKER_01]: That's 309-316-7240.
