- 0:00Speaker 1: As Clarity is approaching, we are starting to get some
- 0:02Speaker 1: fun from new media and old media.
- 0:04Speaker 2: Today.
- 0:05Speaker 1: I'll break it down for you because this will start
- 0:07Speaker 1: to maybe change the course of history. Let's get into it.
- 0:10Speaker 1: I do want to thank our sponsor today that is Tangent.
- 0:12Speaker 1: This is where you can get into self custody times
- 0:15Speaker 1: like this, This is where you want to want to
- 0:16Speaker 1: be in control of everything you're doing in terms of
- 0:19Speaker 1: digital assets. The way to do that is a self
- 0:22Speaker 1: custody wallet, secure not only your crypto, but you can
- 0:26Speaker 1: also get into yield generation, a lot of tools as
- 0:30Speaker 1: well as buying and selling token. So all that is
- 0:32Speaker 1: available over on tangentm. Just jump over to our link
- 0:35Speaker 1: down below get started over there. It takes you about
- 0:38Speaker 1: three minutes to set this thing up and then you
- 0:40Speaker 1: will get into all sorts of cool tech, including the
- 0:43Speaker 1: smart private key backup. A very quick and easy way
- 0:46Speaker 1: to get started use our link. Let's get started. I
- 0:48Speaker 1: want to show a bunch of stuff here because it
- 0:51Speaker 1: is getting heated right now around the Clarity Act. And
- 0:55Speaker 1: of course remember Tom tell Us. He came in and
- 0:57Speaker 1: basically said, I am hijacking Act and every other bill
- 1:01Speaker 1: I'm involved in if we don't get this Christy Nome
- 1:04Speaker 1: chick Ice Barbie out of here. Well he got his way.
- 1:08Speaker 1: Ice Barbie is no longer there. She of course has
- 1:10Speaker 1: stepped aside and it is definitely now changing the course.
- 1:14Speaker 1: I think on clarity, the ball appears to be in
- 1:17Speaker 1: Senator Tom Tillis's court. This came in from Eleanor Tarrett
- 1:20Speaker 1: Cody a carbona front of the Channel, said, Hey, Tillos
- 1:22Speaker 1: has now been various sceptive to our discussions about stable
- 1:25Speaker 1: cooin yield, and I'm optimistic now that we will find
- 1:28Speaker 1: a way to get a yes vote from him. So
- 1:31Speaker 1: that's another yues coming in for what we will see
- 1:35Speaker 1: on yield. Yield is a big factor here, guys, because
- 1:38Speaker 1: it does start to push the traditional media into picking
- 1:43Speaker 1: a side. Remember Trump, he just threw the gauntlet down
- 1:45Speaker 1: picking aside saying Americans should be able to make money
- 1:48Speaker 1: on their own money, and now we have Fox Business
- 1:51Speaker 1: talking about this. Take a look.
- 1:53Speaker 3: The issue is should crypto platforms be able to pay
- 1:57Speaker 3: rewards versus shaking their money and leaving them money in deposit.
- 2:00Speaker 4: Accounts, taking a revenue out of the hands of banks
- 2:04Speaker 4: and putting it into the pockets of Americans is something
- 2:07Speaker 4: that you know, I'm really passionate about and really supportive of.
- 2:10Speaker 3: I mean when you say, you know, we should have
- 2:12Speaker 3: money in people's pockets, I mean it's in people's pockets
- 2:15Speaker 3: in deposit accounts right now.
- 2:16Speaker 5: Right.
- 2:18Speaker 1: No, that is not right. It is not in your pocket.
- 2:22Speaker 1: In fact, if you have the chance to go into
- 2:24Speaker 1: a deposit account, you will know, as well as every
- 2:27Speaker 1: other American, you will get a pittance. If you get
- 2:30Speaker 1: one tenth of one percent, you have done well. And
- 2:34Speaker 1: that I think is the question.
- 2:35Speaker 2: Now.
- 2:36Speaker 1: I don't know that this is even going to be
- 2:38Speaker 1: a factor going forward, because I'm not even sure people
- 2:41Speaker 1: will move money out of banks into crypto. Maybe they
- 2:43Speaker 1: will let me know down in the comments. I want
- 2:46Speaker 1: to play a continuation of this clip where the crypto
- 2:48Speaker 1: industry is kind of defending this.
- 2:49Speaker 3: Take a look, it's in people's pockets in deposit accounts
- 2:52Speaker 3: right now.
- 2:53Speaker 6: Right.
- 2:53Speaker 1: Uh.
- 2:53Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 2:53Speaker 4: But the banks pay a very low rate, so the
- 2:56Speaker 4: debate isn't really about what it's how much right the
- 3:00Speaker 4: crypto firm. The banks are at all time profits, and
- 3:02Speaker 4: the fact that they're paying out pennies in terms of
- 3:05Speaker 4: the rewards they should be paying out to the American consumer.
- 3:07Speaker 1: All right, So from that you would think it'd be
- 3:09Speaker 1: an easy thing to pick a side. Well, listen to
- 3:12Speaker 1: this next clip.
- 3:13Speaker 3: If you're going to have crypto players, look like banks,
- 3:16Speaker 3: shouldn't they be FDIC insured.
- 3:19Speaker 4: Well, most deposits in the US are not fdi inc
- 3:22Speaker 4: insured because of the two hundred and fifty thousand dollars limit.
- 3:24Speaker 3: Well, I mean, look, it's a great point that you
- 3:27Speaker 3: made about the two hundred and fifty thousand dollars cap.
- 3:29Speaker 1: For most of you, I'm sure you're understanding that when
- 3:31Speaker 1: you put money into a bank, it's really not your
- 3:34Speaker 1: money anymore until you can go back and get it out.
- 3:37Speaker 1: But in fact, they use what is called fractional reserve banking.
- 3:40Speaker 1: They take a dollar from you and they go lend
- 3:42Speaker 1: it out nine times. The other thing is is there
- 3:44Speaker 1: is a cap on the FDIC insurance, So if you're
- 3:47Speaker 1: lucky enough to be a wealthy individual, you're only covered
- 3:51Speaker 1: for up to two hundred and fifty k, and then
- 3:53Speaker 1: the rest is free. If that bank goes down, you
- 3:56Speaker 1: only get back two hundred and fifty k, and it
- 3:58Speaker 1: takes a long time to do it. So these are
- 4:01Speaker 1: factors that I think at least gives a lot of
- 4:04Speaker 1: depositors now opportunities to create a diversified banking plan. And
- 4:10Speaker 1: I think this is a deal that we are going
- 4:11Speaker 1: to see more and more of, especially now that we
- 4:14Speaker 1: have Trump backing this. All right, so I want to
- 4:16Speaker 1: jump over to the privacy side. You guys have listened
- 4:18Speaker 1: to and heard a lot about what's going on with Anthropic. Well,
- 4:21Speaker 1: now we have the US government has made an official
- 4:24Speaker 1: statement here. It's official now. The Pentagon has made and
- 4:27Speaker 1: labeled Anthropic as a supply chain risk. This of course
- 4:31Speaker 1: created some pretty big issues overall. And one of the
- 4:34Speaker 1: things that you have to consider right now is there
- 4:37Speaker 1: were only two major areas that Dario, the founder of Anthropic,
- 4:41Speaker 1: was concerned about when the Pentagon was asking for control
- 4:45Speaker 1: of Anthropic. The AI listen to what he had to say.
- 4:49Speaker 7: Again, we only have two of these domestic mass surveillance,
- 4:53Speaker 7: fully autonomous weapons.
- 4:56Speaker 8: No one wants to be spied on by the US government.
- 5:00Speaker 8: Wants to be spied on by the US government.
- 5:01Speaker 7: I would have disagreed, but I would have respected them
- 5:04Speaker 7: if they said, doow, we don't want to work with Anthropic.
- 5:07Speaker 8: We're going to go with one of the other models.
- 5:09Speaker 7: But they've both extended that to parts of the government
- 5:13Speaker 7: beyond the DOW and tried to punitively revoke our contracts
- 5:17Speaker 7: beyond DOW and they've done this supply chain designation thing,
- 5:21Speaker 7: And it's very hard to interpret this in any way
- 5:24Speaker 7: other than punitive. Disagreeing with the government is the most
- 5:27Speaker 7: American thing in the world, and we are patriots in
- 5:30Speaker 7: everything we have done here.
- 5:31Speaker 8: We have stood up for the values of this country.
- 5:34Speaker 1: So Dario there really kind of boiled down to two things.
- 5:37Speaker 1: One does spy on Americans use our data against us. Also,
- 5:40Speaker 1: don't get into autonomous a killing, and that is the
- 5:44Speaker 1: two major things that really they drew a line in
- 5:47Speaker 1: the sand on the All In podcasts came in and
- 5:50Speaker 1: covered this topic and within it it was this episode
- 5:54Speaker 1: right here with the Assistant Department of War lead and
- 5:57Speaker 1: when you look at what happened in this episode, there
- 6:01Speaker 1: was major pushback from the audience. And this gets pretty
- 6:06Speaker 1: crazy because when you look at the all In podcast,
- 6:09Speaker 1: essentially what they've done is they have glazed this guy
- 6:12Speaker 1: completely as they brought him on. Listen to this first clip.
- 6:17Speaker 8: Emil Michael is now the Undersecretary for War, so I
- 6:20Speaker 8: might say fixer.
- 6:22Speaker 9: I hope it was more than the fixer.
- 6:25Speaker 8: I mean, you got it done. You got it done.
- 6:27Speaker 2: An operational as a rain maker.
- 6:31Speaker 8: There's that too. There's that too, all.
- 6:33Speaker 1: Right, So that's that's bad. Then I go over and
- 6:37Speaker 1: I look at this and I see Freebird. He's sitting
- 6:40Speaker 1: there with the robots in his background. You know what
- 6:45Speaker 1: that's from, guys. This is Star Wars. This is basically
- 6:48Speaker 1: where they were getting ready to take over the world.
- 6:51Speaker 1: And of course that is exactly the case if you
- 6:53Speaker 1: kind of compare this. This is the kind of dystopian
- 6:57Speaker 1: nature that we're talking about right now. And I think
- 7:00Speaker 1: that as we start to see getting into where AI
- 7:04Speaker 1: is being used by governments, this is going to get
- 7:06Speaker 1: pretty nasty pretty quick.
- 7:07Speaker 5: Now.
- 7:07Speaker 1: I want to play another clip because this one goes
- 7:09Speaker 1: into how the Department of Assistant Undersecretary of the Department
- 7:13Speaker 1: of War answered around autonomous killing, which is what remember
- 7:17Speaker 1: what Dario was trying to protect against.
- 7:19Speaker 9: Take a look and I looked at contracts. It was like,
- 7:22Speaker 9: holy cow, you can't use them to plan a kinetic strike.
- 7:26Speaker 8: You can't do a war game scenario with it.
- 7:28Speaker 9: You could do a scenario, is what we would do,
- 7:31Speaker 9: and it might involve a kinetic strike which causes harm
- 7:34Speaker 9: to a human. So like, well, what do you think
- 7:36Speaker 9: these folks do, you know, use this Department of war.
- 7:38Speaker 9: This is what we do. We're not knuckle draggers here.
- 7:41Speaker 9: We want we want to hurt people unnecessarily, so you know,
- 7:45Speaker 9: it's our province to decide how we fight and win wars,
- 7:48Speaker 9: so long as they're lawful.
- 7:50Speaker 2: By the way, this is deplatforming all over again.
- 7:54Speaker 1: He clearly admitted that they would be using this for planning.
- 7:57Speaker 1: This next clip goes even further, and this is around
- 8:00Speaker 1: the surveillance side. Their privacy out there right now. Take
- 8:03Speaker 1: a look.
- 8:03Speaker 9: They didn't want us to bulk collect public information on
- 8:09Speaker 9: people using their AI system. There's months of this like
- 8:13Speaker 9: stuff painting us as doing mass surveillance, where their issue
- 8:19Speaker 9: was like some commercial database thing which I'm not even
- 8:22Speaker 9: sure we buy them. You know, we run schools, hospitals,
- 8:24Speaker 9: we do a lot of things that do do We
- 8:26Speaker 9: don't just fight worse and the way they were able
- 8:28Speaker 9: to characterize these two things which are genuinely scary to people,
- 8:32Speaker 9: but we're not the real issues. If you don't want
- 8:35Speaker 9: your stuff to be used for Department worse stuff you
- 8:37Speaker 9: shouldn't be selling to the Department of War.
- 8:44Speaker 2: Well.
- 8:44Speaker 1: And then also, I don't know why this is funny, guys,
- 8:48Speaker 1: I don't understand why this is funny. This is personal privacy.
- 8:51Speaker 1: He even admitted to the fact that they are collecting
- 8:53Speaker 1: data and they were trying to do it was one
- 8:55Speaker 1: of the stipulations that they put out on it. He
- 8:58Speaker 1: goes further into this because now he admits to something else,
- 9:02Speaker 1: and you won't guess what. Take a look.
- 9:05Speaker 9: And then the trigger point was after the Maduro raid,
- 9:07Speaker 9: one of their execs called Palenteer who we buy themselves through,
- 9:11Speaker 9: and asked them was our software used in that raid,
- 9:15Speaker 9: which is by the way, classified information.
- 9:17Speaker 8: They went behind your back and it wasn't.
- 9:19Speaker 9: By behind my back. I don't want to accuse them
- 9:21Speaker 9: of that, but holy what if this software went down?
- 9:26Speaker 9: And that was like a whoe moment for the whole
- 9:28Speaker 9: leadership at the Pentagon. And so I went to Secretary
- 9:30Speaker 9: hegseth that we're potentially so dependent on a software provider
- 9:34Speaker 9: without another alternative.
- 9:37Speaker 1: How would he not know that? I mean, that is
- 9:39Speaker 1: just clearly outlines in my opinion, if you don't have
- 9:43Speaker 1: a backup, and even a redundancy on a that backup,
- 9:47Speaker 1: especially in the Department of War. I mean, come on,
- 9:50Speaker 1: this is the first line of defense for Americans around
- 9:52Speaker 1: the world. This is something I thought was a really
- 9:55Speaker 1: bad take on his point, You yourself would be incompetent,
- 9:58Speaker 1: I would think, I mean, I would have systems and
- 10:00Speaker 1: redundant systems on that one, especially with something as important
- 10:03Speaker 1: to this. This guy's going to end up becoming the
- 10:05Speaker 1: next Christy. No, you watch, it's going to happen. We
- 10:08Speaker 1: will see some incompetence layering in going forward. And the
- 10:12Speaker 1: other thing that this factors in is that this had
- 10:15Speaker 1: an effect on the entire market, especially on the Max seventy.
- 10:18Speaker 1: If you think of which AI in general, this would
- 10:20Speaker 1: affect everybody all the way up into Nvidia because of
- 10:23Speaker 1: the impact that this put on investors. Wait a minute,
- 10:26Speaker 1: the government's doing this against Anthropic, one of the biggest
- 10:29Speaker 1: companies out there going in this direction. Well, not only that,
- 10:33Speaker 1: it starts to analyze and push and I think now
- 10:37Speaker 1: open up at risk companies that are actually communicating and
- 10:42Speaker 1: agreeing with the Department of War, and some of them are,
- 10:44Speaker 1: of course, are groc open AI, which we know Gemini
- 10:48Speaker 1: all now handling data over to the government. Take a
- 10:51Speaker 1: look at this clip.
- 10:52Speaker 8: Open AI software, Gemini software, and GROC software. Have they
- 10:57Speaker 8: pushed back on any use.
- 10:58Speaker 9: So Grock's all in all awful use cases across all
- 11:01Speaker 9: classified and on classified networks, as you'd expect.
- 11:04Speaker 1: All right, So further into this, they start to now
- 11:08Speaker 1: kind of pit Anthropic against Americans.
- 11:11Speaker 9: Take a look.
- 11:12Speaker 2: You can't do that. It's clear that Anthropic just lost
- 11:16Speaker 2: all the Republicans. But I think that if they think
- 11:19Speaker 2: that they have the Democrats that's fleeting as well, they
- 11:22Speaker 2: accidentally may have pissed off every constituent.
- 11:26Speaker 1: I don't think so. I think that the power of
- 11:29Speaker 1: the people who is starting to rise. We're already starting
- 11:31Speaker 1: to see it right here on us downloads of Claude
- 11:34Speaker 1: absolutely skyrocketing over chat, GPT, and this is happening in
- 11:40Speaker 1: real time. You have that, then you go and look
- 11:42Speaker 1: at this kind of data right here. Look at that
- 11:44Speaker 1: Anthropic number one in the last seven days right there
- 11:47Speaker 1: on downloads over on Google Play. Then you can kind
- 11:51Speaker 1: of jump into this. You got you know, all sorts
- 11:53Speaker 1: of people starting to go in and get even more Claude,
- 11:57Speaker 1: and this boils into the next clip, which is really
- 11:59Speaker 1: talking to the evaluation about Anthropic.
- 12:01Speaker 2: Take a look, what is the senior management really doing.
- 12:04Speaker 2: What do you think you would tell them if you
- 12:06Speaker 2: were sitting inside of the board of Entre Free Break,
- 12:08Speaker 2: You're shutting the fuck up. You're just shutting the fuck up.
- 12:11Speaker 5: And I don't think that company's worth three hundred and
- 12:13Speaker 5: fifty billion anymore.
- 12:15Speaker 1: I mean, you cannot just let a government run roughshot
- 12:18Speaker 1: over private companies. And that is exactly what happened. I
- 12:20Speaker 1: would agree that if you're not interested in doing things
- 12:23Speaker 1: on the scope of work, maybe anthropy just steps away.
- 12:26Speaker 1: But for the government saying, hey, you can no longer
- 12:28Speaker 1: use this because it's a risk. Maybe it's just not
- 12:31Speaker 1: a preferred vendor kind of thing. All right, So I
- 12:33Speaker 1: want to go into one more clip here. This is
- 12:35Speaker 1: by Jason Calacanis, and he goes in on a rant
- 12:38Speaker 1: around Anthropic. Take a look.
- 12:40Speaker 8: Here's nine companies and their activities with the administration, from
- 12:45Speaker 8: the inauguration to attending the inauguration, to the White House
- 12:49Speaker 8: CEO dinner to the Milania documentary Amazon.
- 12:52Speaker 6: They have all participated. There's one company that has in participated,
- 12:57Speaker 6: and that's Anthropic. I pulled Dario aside, and I'd say, listen,
- 13:00Speaker 6: this is not a battle you can win. You're going
- 13:02Speaker 6: to come across as not being patriotic. Tim Cook is
- 13:05Speaker 6: showing up for the Milania premiere. Would it kill you
- 13:07Speaker 6: to support the president? Would he kill you to show up?
- 13:10Speaker 6: Show up for the president. I'll show up for America
- 13:13Speaker 6: and be a patriot. You don't have to donate, but
- 13:15Speaker 6: be a patriot and show up for the dinners.
- 13:17Speaker 2: Hey, Dario, call a meal back right now and say
- 13:20Speaker 2: you know what, Sorry, sicked up. We support our customer's
- 13:24Speaker 2: use of our models to do everything and anything, and
- 13:28Speaker 2: this was just a misstep.
- 13:29Speaker 9: Camille, how do you respond? I mean, I would say,
- 13:32Speaker 9: that's what I've always wanted. You're going to have to
- 13:33Speaker 9: apologize to more people than just me.
- 13:36Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 13:37Speaker 1: Wow, this is a pretty stark take right now on
- 13:41Speaker 1: this This may I don't know where do you guys
- 13:44Speaker 1: stand on this situation. Are you pro let's go in
- 13:47Speaker 1: and just do whatever the government tells us to do,
- 13:50Speaker 1: or are you hey, maybe there is a line in
- 13:52Speaker 1: the sand we cannot cross, especially when we are in
- 13:55Speaker 1: the early stages of AI development. Dave Ryberg said, was
- 13:58Speaker 1: the valuation this company is not worth that much. But
- 14:01Speaker 1: if you look at pre stocks over here, Anthropic is
- 14:04Speaker 1: starting to move, in fact considerably seventeen percent up. And
- 14:10Speaker 1: I think in general this is just kind of a
- 14:11Speaker 1: bad take because you cannot expect every company out their
- 14:15Speaker 1: private company, especially to just automatically fall in. This was
- 14:18Speaker 1: a good position by Dario of trying to protect Americans.
- 14:22Speaker 1: One other note, if you just take a look at
- 14:24Speaker 1: what's happened over on Jupiter, where you can trade this
- 14:27Speaker 1: in pre stocks kind of thing, This is where it
- 14:30Speaker 1: started to dump right after the news, and then of
- 14:33Speaker 1: course I think everybody looked at it and said, wait
- 14:35Speaker 1: a minute, maybe this is actually positive because they're standing
- 14:38Speaker 1: up and boom, you have Anthropic absolutely going striking tops.
- 14:43Speaker 1: So as you can see, that's positive I think for Anthropic,
- 14:46Speaker 1: not that we're talking about investment advice, but at least
- 14:49Speaker 1: you would think that billionaires who get a chance to
- 14:51Speaker 1: get early access, early stage money, all these kind of things,
- 14:54Speaker 1: they can pick the right winners. They had to go
- 14:57Speaker 1: back in and actually reconsider in this same episode their position.
- 15:01Speaker 1: Take a look.
- 15:02Speaker 5: I think Anthropic is a trillion five market cap at
- 15:05Speaker 5: the end of the day unless this blows them up.
- 15:07Speaker 2: You're still buying the five x versus the three X.
- 15:09Speaker 5: Kind of thing is worth a lot more than three fifty,
- 15:12Speaker 5: that's for sure.
- 15:14Speaker 8: It's undervalued compared to chat cheep.
- 15:16Speaker 1: All right, undervalued, not valued? Should be worth it? Am
- 15:20Speaker 1: worth it? Okay, Well, then you have Chamas's back performance.
- 15:24Speaker 1: Everybody's been kind of dogging him on that. This is
- 15:27Speaker 1: something we've talked about here on the show. Is you
- 15:29Speaker 1: know there hasn't been some major wins. Here is a
- 15:33Speaker 1: clip of him talking about those wins.
- 15:35Speaker 10: Why is everyone so mad at Jimuth? All he did
- 15:37Speaker 10: was lose billions and retail investors' money one page SPACs.
- 15:42Speaker 10: It's not like he then told them to enjoy their
- 15:43Speaker 10: capital losses or anything. Give the man a break. Jamuth's responds, Yes,
- 15:47Speaker 10: I did all right, piling on so great.
- 15:52Speaker 8: Yeah, that's smile.
- 15:57Speaker 1: I think that's enough. Set. If you like this video,
