- 0:00Speaker 1: All Star Toyota presents Off the Bench with Jacob Hester
- 0:04Speaker 1: and Matt Flynn.
- 0:05Speaker 2: Okay, here we go.
- 0:07Speaker 1: Where the plays get broken down and science gets denied to.
- 0:10Speaker 2: Come off the bench.
- 0:11Speaker 1: Hour two of Off the Bench Live from the Raising
- 0:14Speaker 1: Kine Studio.
- 0:32Speaker 3: Shout out to Quinn, Shout out to Quinn inside to
- 0:35Speaker 3: buy you four chat the rivers all dry? Oh what's
- 0:39Speaker 3: it called? Someone was asking the question. It was an
- 0:49Speaker 3: hour number one. I wrote it down, so I apologize
- 0:52Speaker 3: that I'm not giving you credit for asking the question.
- 0:55Speaker 3: I really tried to go back and it was too
- 0:57Speaker 3: long ago. You can't go that far back. But you
- 0:59Speaker 3: were asking outside of the national championship year, what was
- 1:04Speaker 3: the five years before that like compared to the five
- 1:07Speaker 3: years after? And now we're in we're in the sixth
- 1:10Speaker 3: season of that. But to answer your question, in twenty
- 1:17Speaker 3: fourteen through twenty eighteen, so fourteen, fifteen, sixteen, seventeen, eighteen seasons.
- 1:22Speaker 2: You were forty four and nineteen.
- 1:24Speaker 3: Overall you were twenty five and fifteen in the SEC
- 1:29Speaker 3: the five years after the national championship. Again, this doesn't
- 1:33Speaker 3: include this year, but just the five seasons in twenty
- 1:37Speaker 3: twenty twenty one, twenty two, twenty three, twenty four, you
- 1:41Speaker 3: were forty and twenty three, twenty five and seventeen in
- 1:45Speaker 3: the SEC. So you got a couple more losses in there,
- 1:50Speaker 3: and you've got more losses, not as many wins. So
- 1:54Speaker 3: forty wins compared to the five years before that forty
- 1:57Speaker 3: four wins.
- 1:58Speaker 4: And we were kind of talking about it too before
- 1:59Speaker 4: the show. It's like, how how different is that those
- 2:05Speaker 4: two columns? If somehow Jane Daniels didn't find a Superman
- 2:10Speaker 4: cape and make the biggest jump turn around improvement in
- 2:15Speaker 4: a quarterback position that I've ever seen that these guys
- 2:17Speaker 4: I've ever seen.
- 2:18Speaker 2: That's a fair question.
- 2:18Speaker 5: Well, but also like how great of a quarterback was
- 2:22Speaker 5: Jane and Daniels?
- 2:23Speaker 2: Oh God, Like.
- 2:25Speaker 5: We're hurting without him.
- 2:27Speaker 2: We're hurting, so were the commanders.
- 2:30Speaker 6: Cheez Oh yeah, oh man, he out again.
- 2:33Speaker 2: I know, hamstring.
- 2:35Speaker 4: At least it's not a knee like you saw it,
- 2:37Speaker 4: because he had the knee issue a couple of weeks ago,
- 2:39Speaker 4: a little hammy now well, soft tissue I set up
- 2:42Speaker 4: this weekend.
- 2:43Speaker 5: But it turns out Vanderbilt proved it this weekend. You
- 2:47Speaker 5: got a mobile quarterback and a strong run game, you
- 2:51Speaker 5: can win games. Does LSU have either of those?
- 3:00Speaker 2: Answer? Yeah, no, solid. Yeah.
- 3:04Speaker 4: The mobile quarterback thing, it's like it's the non mobile
- 3:07Speaker 4: quarterback is starting to become a little bit of a dinosaur.
- 3:10Speaker 2: You you gotta be able to do something.
- 3:12Speaker 4: But it's not like there's there's a place for a
- 3:17Speaker 4: guy that's not mobile with a good arm if you
- 3:20Speaker 4: have an.
- 3:20Speaker 6: Elite running game. But you and I were talking about
- 3:22Speaker 6: it the other day.
- 3:23Speaker 7: A team in the NFL, it's a contender that doesn't
- 3:26Speaker 7: have a good running game.
- 3:28Speaker 4: It's yeah, it's not happening. It's never happened, at least
- 3:33Speaker 4: like a serviceable a dangerous one. You don't have to
- 3:37Speaker 4: be dominant. You don't have to be elite in the
- 3:39Speaker 4: running game to be good, right, but I just.
- 3:41Speaker 5: Don't like to have it to compensate for the lack of.
- 3:45Speaker 2: Well, like a mobile quarterback doesn't have to be Lamar Jackson. Right,
- 3:49Speaker 2: I'm not saying he does. Joe Burrow was very capable
- 3:52Speaker 2: of running the football. Right.
- 3:54Speaker 3: He's not a sprinter, he's not fast, he's not a runner,
- 3:57Speaker 3: but he got the pocket and let me, I knew
- 4:00Speaker 3: when when he could gain yards.
- 4:02Speaker 4: And it's not even about being like super athletic, super fast,
- 4:09Speaker 4: being able to outrun the defensive end of the sideline.
- 4:11Speaker 4: A lot of quarterbacks are mobile that you don't wouldn't,
- 4:15Speaker 4: no one would ever put that by their name. There's
- 4:18Speaker 4: a way to scramble within the pocket without scrambling outside
- 4:21Speaker 4: of the pocket. There's a way to manipulate rushers and
- 4:24Speaker 4: move in the pocket.
- 4:26Speaker 5: I'm a little too broadly, but y'all are saying exactly
- 4:30Speaker 5: what I'm Yeah.
- 4:31Speaker 2: No, no, no, for sure. Yeah, we're just trying to say,
- 4:33Speaker 2: like you don't have that.
- 4:34Speaker 5: Right, No, but you don't even have the run game
- 4:38Speaker 5: to compensate for the lack of being able to scramble.
- 4:41Speaker 3: Nothing on the ground terrifies anybody right now. Yeah, like
- 4:44Speaker 3: quarterback or running back.
- 4:46Speaker 4: I think a lot of the teams that l She
- 4:47Speaker 4: plays this year have the traditional quote unquote mobile quarterback.
- 4:51Speaker 2: Kde Club Nick. Yeah, it's fast, Leonora sells Pavia.
- 4:54Speaker 4: He's maybe not straight line fast, but he's certainly a
- 4:57Speaker 4: mobile quarterback. The guy we're gonna play this week mobile
- 5:00Speaker 4: arter back.
- 5:01Speaker 6: Watch out for the guy were in two weeks. He
- 5:04Speaker 6: considered a traditional lon of but Toss Simpson could make
- 5:06Speaker 6: it happen.
- 5:07Speaker 4: But there are guys that you look at like like
- 5:09Speaker 4: you just said, and we're not like, okay, we're using
- 5:11Speaker 4: like super extreme examples because I just don't have college
- 5:16Speaker 4: examples at my fingertips, like Peyton Manning, Tom Brady, Joe Burrow,
- 5:20Speaker 4: like they can scramble.
- 5:21Speaker 3: Philip Rivers is not fast at all, but he was
- 5:24Speaker 3: so good at scrambling within the pocket.
- 5:26Speaker 2: Within the pocket.
- 5:27Speaker 4: And I heard that term a long time ago, about
- 5:30Speaker 4: ten years being used by I can't remember who it was.
- 5:33Speaker 2: It was a defensive line. I think it's been it
- 5:34Speaker 2: for the Seahawks.
- 5:35Speaker 4: He was explaining to it and talking about Aaron Rodgers
- 5:38Speaker 4: at the time, like the dude doesn't get outside the pocket,
- 5:41Speaker 4: but he's he scrambles within the pocket, like I can't
- 5:44Speaker 4: get him.
- 5:44Speaker 2: I can't get to him because he he how he manipulates.
- 5:48Speaker 4: And I think Garrett's playing a little bit with some
- 5:51Speaker 4: hot feet hot feet right now. Of course, the protection
- 5:55Speaker 4: throughout the year has not helped him like get a
- 5:58Speaker 4: little confidence in the pocket, certainly, And I think at
- 6:03Speaker 4: as a quarterback, you gotta work yourself out of like
- 6:05Speaker 4: little little funks like that. Because he tended to start
- 6:09Speaker 4: looking at the pass rush instead of looking at the
- 6:12Speaker 4: defensive backs. You start, I think you start guessing a
- 6:15Speaker 4: little bit before pre snap instead of just reading. Garritts
- 6:19Speaker 4: struggling with his pre snap reads and he's struggling.
- 6:21Speaker 2: With his immediate post snap reed.
- 6:23Speaker 4: Yeah, so pre snap reads, seeing what the defense is bringing,
- 6:27Speaker 4: seeing what coverage, what shell they're in. Right, but then
- 6:30Speaker 4: at the snap if they rotate, adjusting to it, That's
- 6:32Speaker 4: what I thought, like that immediate post snap. Yeah, here,
- 6:37Speaker 4: I want to I'd like.
- 6:37Speaker 2: To attach my I do want to.
- 6:43Speaker 3: I do want to point out some of the past
- 6:45Speaker 3: protection grades, as you mentioned, like right now, it feels
- 6:48Speaker 3: like that's something that he's more worried about right now?
- 6:52Speaker 2: Is some of that Where is it going to come from?
- 6:54Speaker 2: Where am I going to.
- 6:54Speaker 3: Get hit from Tyree Adams before he went out? You're
- 6:58Speaker 3: starting left tackle pass protection grad. It was a forty
- 7:00Speaker 3: six uh DJ Chester, who again is your backup center,
- 7:05Speaker 3: your third guard and then also the first in at tackle,
- 7:09Speaker 3: which I think that's I think that's an issue. I
- 7:12Speaker 3: do thirty seven point six, and then you're starting right
- 7:15Speaker 3: tackle Weston Davis twenty three point seven, twenty three point
- 7:19Speaker 3: seven pass protection grade so your your tackles right now.
- 7:25Speaker 3: You're the guys that are blocking the edge defenders probably
- 7:29Speaker 3: don't have a lot of confidence and that they're gonna
- 7:32Speaker 3: get it done.
- 7:33Speaker 2: I saw that movie The blind Side too. I know
- 7:34Speaker 2: how important that position is.
- 7:36Speaker 5: It's pretty important.
- 7:37Speaker 2: Yeah, because the quarterback his head run the damn ball.
- 7:42Speaker 5: That's also a blind side. You know what I also
- 7:47Speaker 5: just like do not enjoy is that I feel like
- 7:51Speaker 5: we have become a joke. And that really is like
- 7:57Speaker 5: fully on Brian Kelly because Vanderbilt posting that picture of
- 8:02Speaker 5: like the danger outside the press conference room where they're
- 8:05Speaker 5: like you might get like people might slam the desk
- 8:08Speaker 5: or like yelled out or whatever. Like that is you're
- 8:11Speaker 5: being trolled by Vanderbilt and you're like a joke.
- 8:15Speaker 6: And I really don't know how many people.
- 8:18Speaker 5: Played at the end, Like.
- 8:22Speaker 3: How many people did we talk about Lone Drew where
- 8:24Speaker 3: they were like, oh, this is my favorite bet of
- 8:26Speaker 3: the weekend is Vanderbilt?
- 8:28Speaker 2: How many people?
- 8:28Speaker 6: So many?
- 8:30Speaker 3: A lot of national media, I mean Dave Dave emptied
- 8:34Speaker 3: his DraftKings account and.
- 8:37Speaker 5: Then wait, but you know also is that like everybody
- 8:40Speaker 5: except except Nick Saban on college game day picked Vanderbilt
- 8:44Speaker 5: to win, and people were confused by that. I have
- 8:46Speaker 5: to say, like, I am not shocked by the fact
- 8:49Speaker 5: that people thought that this Vanderbilt team was going to
- 8:51Speaker 5: play or would beat this l s U team.
- 8:55Speaker 2: And that's a problem to your point, the original point, Yes,
- 9:00Speaker 2: offensive line.
- 9:02Speaker 7: Kelly continues in press conferences to rave about carrieus Kern
- 9:06Speaker 7: and will not play him.
- 9:08Speaker 6: I'm just trying to figure out why.
- 9:10Speaker 7: You get thrown into the fire against Florida, And Kelly said, well,
- 9:13Speaker 7: he reminds me of Emory Jones. I'm like, yeah, Emory
- 9:15Speaker 7: Jones who got thrown into the fire against Florida and
- 9:17Speaker 7: didn't give his job back for three years.
- 9:19Speaker 6: He was your starting tackle.
- 9:20Speaker 7: I expected him to come in there when Tyree Adams
- 9:22Speaker 7: went down because they like him so much at tackle. Now,
- 9:25Speaker 7: all of a sudden, he came out last week and said,
- 9:27Speaker 7: Carrie's urn's more of a guard than a tackle. Okay,
- 9:29Speaker 7: guards aren't great either.
- 9:31Speaker 8: But.
- 9:35Speaker 3: As a team, your past protection grave was a forty
- 9:39Speaker 3: a forty. I know you wanted to show a clip.
- 9:41Speaker 3: Please get us out of this pass protection conference.
- 9:44Speaker 4: About the old film. All right, So this is early
- 9:47Speaker 4: in the first quarter. I think there is ten minutes,
- 9:50Speaker 4: twenty four seconds left in the first quarter. We got
- 9:52Speaker 4: three by one set, Well, we're gonna be running. Here
- 9:54Speaker 4: is what I like to call. Basically, it all goes
- 9:56Speaker 4: special with you can call it a comeback of puma, curls,
- 10:00Speaker 4: a dig backside. There's a lot of different ways depending
- 10:03Speaker 4: on what kind of offense. So we have a we're gonna
- 10:05Speaker 4: execute what I would call a three jet protection. Some
- 10:08Speaker 4: might call it a twenty six right protection. There's a
- 10:10Speaker 4: couple of different ways to call. But basically the lineman we're.
- 10:13Speaker 2: In a shell coverage.
- 10:14Speaker 4: Here on the back end, we have four It looks
- 10:17Speaker 4: like it's gonna be quarters coverage. If I had to
- 10:18Speaker 4: guess right now, I would When I'm calling snapcount as
- 10:21Speaker 4: a quarterback, I'm anticipating quarters and I'm gonna react to
- 10:24Speaker 4: a cover three or something. I'm gonna react to something else.
- 10:27Speaker 4: So we got the four down and we're gonna probably
- 10:28Speaker 4: call Mike Wright right here. I don't know, uh, we're
- 10:31Speaker 4: gonna I don't know the number, just dreadlocks right there,
- 10:33Speaker 4: and then the back's gonna have the other one. Nobody
- 10:36Speaker 4: comes arling. Barry is gonna look for work. But a
- 10:38Speaker 4: couple of issues with us play. First of all, all
- 10:41Speaker 4: go special not a great route versus quarters, because we
- 10:44Speaker 4: are gonna anticipate if it is quarters the backside safety
- 10:48Speaker 4: and three point one is always gonna cut front side.
- 10:50Speaker 4: It's gonna take our number three. It's gonna take Aaron
- 10:52Speaker 4: Anderson out of the play. Hilton right here, never ever
- 10:58Speaker 4: release inside on the same route. That's poor coaching, not cut.
- 11:02Speaker 4: I don't know this. Poor coach is poor execution right there.
- 11:04Speaker 4: You cannot release inside. You have the same Trey is
- 11:07Speaker 4: running go route. I'd like to see him on a
- 11:08Speaker 4: hitch route right here. But in quarters coverage, we're working
- 11:12Speaker 4: the backside safeties. Cut in the front sid. You gotta
- 11:14Speaker 4: work your one on one backside, gotta work your one
- 11:16Speaker 4: to one back side. That's the only read you got
- 11:18Speaker 4: in this play versus this coverage one backside, hit your
- 11:21Speaker 4: hit your three steps, let her rip three steps, letter
- 11:24Speaker 4: rip hitchit chit chit chit chit chit chitch sack. Okay,
- 11:28Speaker 4: but here's a positive ready, Oh as long ago granted
- 11:35Speaker 4: that this loads. Because the internet, the internet.
- 11:39Speaker 3: Not today, there will not be one damn positive shown
- 11:43Speaker 3: here today. And I can't say I blame it all right,
- 11:48Speaker 3: tiss me off. But to your like, okay, So to
- 11:52Speaker 3: your point about that, that should be an immediate hit
- 11:58Speaker 3: your third step.
- 11:59Speaker 4: Yeah, you got anticipate Quarters got it out there to
- 12:01Speaker 4: the three by one. Every time the backside safety cuts
- 12:05Speaker 4: front side because there's no work. Usually teams will have
- 12:09Speaker 4: like a palms check or they'll have a check to
- 12:12Speaker 4: where if they run quarters coverage and they get three
- 12:15Speaker 4: by one, they'll automatically check to three. They'll cover three
- 12:18Speaker 4: instead of running cover four. But you can run cover
- 12:21Speaker 4: four and cut the backside safety. You're just leaving your
- 12:24Speaker 4: You're just leaving it one on one.
- 12:26Speaker 2: Sorry.
- 12:26Speaker 4: The internet's I mean, of all the days to do it,
- 12:29Speaker 4: that's why you're right here. That usually connects us right
- 12:31Speaker 4: into the internet. It's not working yet. Stinks we had
- 12:35Speaker 4: it for a second. I thought you had quarter back
- 12:38Speaker 4: up the.
- 12:38Speaker 2: Old Morning Show problems. They'll be fixed. But you're about
- 12:44Speaker 2: to show a great made me think of Joe A.
- 12:47Speaker 2: Die Chip. I believe, Yeah it really was. We'll get it.
- 12:51Speaker 2: We'll have to show it at.
- 12:52Speaker 3: Some point during this But to your point, though, like
- 12:53Speaker 3: that that play right there, like so people are going
- 12:57Speaker 3: to look at that as a sack, and it was
- 12:59Speaker 3: it was a sack, and it's team game, and it's
- 13:00Speaker 3: you got to do your one eleventh. Well, nuss is
- 13:02Speaker 3: one eleventh on that place to rip the ten out
- 13:05Speaker 3: of the ten, stop to the left and just rip it.
- 13:09Speaker 2: It's there. It was open. It was one on one.
- 13:11Speaker 3: You're right like in quarters, like as soon as you
- 13:14Speaker 3: see that backside safety, go take away Aaron Anderson.
- 13:16Speaker 2: You know what it is? Yep, like that balls thrown
- 13:19Speaker 2: before your receiver stops. Yep.
- 13:21Speaker 4: Right, Yeah, it's an easy read. It's an easy race quarters.
- 13:24Speaker 4: You have to what I'm saying. That's why he's struggling
- 13:26Speaker 4: a little bit with his pre snap recognition and his
- 13:30Speaker 4: immediate post snap regnance.
- 13:31Speaker 2: We got it, all right, you ready? All right, we're
- 13:35Speaker 2: gonna watch.
- 13:37Speaker 4: Sir Harlan Barry here, Yeah, twenty two broad of this game,
- 13:40Speaker 4: twenty two broad at, watch him. He's gonna his guy's
- 13:42Speaker 4: not gonna come. So line's working at twenty two. Harlan
- 13:45Speaker 4: Barry has twenty four and anybody else. His guy doesn't come.
- 13:49Speaker 4: So what is he gonna do?
- 13:50Speaker 2: Just do nothing? Or is he gonna look for work?
- 13:53Speaker 4: Bah, that's a big boy too, that's what you call
- 13:56Speaker 4: getting flat backed right there. Hey, okay, but I would
- 13:59Speaker 4: say coaching point after it. Get into your right, get
- 14:02Speaker 4: into your route's celebrated, don't talk. Yeah, I love it.
- 14:05Speaker 4: I love it. So people lass earlier? All right, does
- 14:08Speaker 4: anybody got some doll get him?
- 14:09Speaker 2: Yep?
- 14:10Speaker 4: Carling Barry does a little teaching point there. Maybe not
- 14:12Speaker 4: stand over him. Yeah, you're around, and you're as Garrett
- 14:15Speaker 4: Star is probably looking for you. Yeah, okay, let me okay,
- 14:19Speaker 4: go back to that. That's this is a good.
- 14:21Speaker 3: This is a good watching US's head Let it play
- 14:25Speaker 3: three bout one quarters right right, right, right, never looks left,
- 14:28Speaker 3: not one time until it was way too late.
- 14:30Speaker 2: You should what you do?
- 14:32Speaker 4: You always look at the quarterback stripe, the stripe of
- 14:34Speaker 4: his helmet. You can always tell where he's looking in
- 14:36Speaker 4: this coverage.
- 14:37Speaker 2: Right here.
- 14:38Speaker 4: As soon as I get the ball, I am looking
- 14:41Speaker 4: right at the safety number eight to make sure he's
- 14:43Speaker 4: cutting right. If he cuts, I'm right to my ex receiver,
- 14:46Speaker 4: which is to the left. If he doesn't cut, I
- 14:48Speaker 4: got Aaron. I got Aaron Anderson coming right there, right.
- 14:52Speaker 4: I mean, that's it, that's that's football, that's passing game. Yeah,
- 14:55Speaker 4: that's that's learning how to work coverages. That's learning how
- 14:58Speaker 4: to read defenses, understand what what they're doing, what you're
- 15:00Speaker 4: trying to do, and what they're trying.
- 15:02Speaker 2: To do to stop you.
- 15:03Speaker 4: Yeah, but you got to know your experience enough. You
- 15:06Speaker 4: have to understand the weaknesses in the defense. Now, maybe
- 15:09Speaker 4: there was a maybe there was an MA A that
- 15:10Speaker 4: I don't know about, Like we're not in that room.
- 15:12Speaker 4: I don't know what was actually called. Maybe there was
- 15:14Speaker 4: an MA on the receiver and they did have a
- 15:16Speaker 4: quarters beater on it. Or maybe Trey Dalls was supposed
- 15:20Speaker 4: to run a hitch out or boomer route and he didn't.
- 15:22Speaker 4: They ready to go. Yeah, Still the backside is the read.
- 15:26Speaker 3: All right, before we take this breakin you about our
- 15:29Speaker 3: friends over at Gordon mccurnin and injury Attorneys, Good Gordon
- 15:32Speaker 3: and get it done Good Gordon dot com. Remember it
- 15:34Speaker 3: is your area code in Louisiana, followed by.
- 15:37Speaker 2: Eight eight eight eighty eight eighty eight.
- 15:38Speaker 3: Three one eight two two five nine eight five three
- 15:42Speaker 3: three seven five before does not matter anywhere in the
- 15:44Speaker 3: state of Louisiana.
- 15:46Speaker 2: The g team can help you.
- 15:47Speaker 3: Out always on social media at GID Gordon's going to
- 15:49Speaker 3: be the handle on all major social media. See what
- 15:51Speaker 3: they're doing throughout the local communities in Louisiana, always doing something,
- 15:56Speaker 3: Gid Gordon and get it done, all right, So when
- 16:00Speaker 3: we come back, it's gonna be more the same. It's
- 16:02Speaker 3: gonna be more of the same of the issues that
- 16:04Speaker 3: plagued you and what you have coming up. Ain't nobody
- 16:10Speaker 3: gonna feel sorry for you. Texas A and M hasn't
- 16:14Speaker 3: won in this building since they've come into the SEC.
- 16:17Speaker 3: The only time they've beaten LSU has been in College station.
- 16:20Speaker 3: You don't think they want to get a win inside
- 16:22Speaker 3: of Tiger Stadium. You think Alabama's gonna feel sorry for you.
- 16:26Speaker 3: You think Arkansas and Bader Patrino, who's putting up points
- 16:28Speaker 3: on everybody's gonna feel sorry for you.
- 16:31Speaker 2: Oklahoma is sure not after what you did to them
- 16:33Speaker 2: last year.
- 16:35Speaker 3: You got one decision, and you got one choice, and
- 16:38Speaker 3: if you don't make that choice, you might not make
- 16:41Speaker 3: a bowl game. If you don't make that choice, like
- 16:44Speaker 3: you got to go out there now, I think you will.
- 16:46Speaker 3: You got Western Kentucky, But is that good enough by
- 16:50Speaker 3: barely scaping by? You have to stop it. The bleeding's
- 16:54Speaker 3: got to stop right now. And you don't have a
- 16:56Speaker 3: bye week. You don't have you're practicing today. You're getting
- 17:01Speaker 3: ready for a team today, and so like, you have
- 17:04Speaker 3: to take these corrections and you can't be sensitive about
- 17:07Speaker 3: these corrections, and you hope these corrections are being had. Right,
- 17:11Speaker 3: this is not a tape that you can just say
- 17:12Speaker 3: we're on A and M. You can't do that, not
- 17:15Speaker 3: with this all the way this looked. You gotta have
- 17:18Speaker 3: some hard truths. You gotta challenge people when you're watching
- 17:22Speaker 3: this tape and that's what you hope is going on
- 17:25Speaker 3: today as they get ready down the road this week
- 17:30Speaker 3: for A and M. But it starts on Monday. Monday
- 17:33Speaker 3: is a corrections day. Monday's a tell the truth Monday,
- 17:39Speaker 3: and that film tells a lot of truth. You have
- 17:41Speaker 3: to be able to accept that truth and try to
- 17:43Speaker 3: get better from it. And hopefully they get that done,
- 17:46Speaker 3: because again A and M's not gonna feel sorry for
- 17:49Speaker 3: you as they're trying to go win a national championship.
- 17:52Speaker 3: Right now, all right, we'll take a break more OTB
- 17:54Speaker 3: when we come back here live from the Raisin King Studio.
- 17:57Speaker 3: Off the bench right, go to Russell Pools Dot com
- 18:00Speaker 3: website for Russell Pool Company. When you go to the website,
- 18:03Speaker 3: you'll be blown away with work that they do. You
- 18:05Speaker 3: will see a lot of dream pools, other people's dream pools.
- 18:09Speaker 2: But what about your dream pool?
- 18:11Speaker 3: You've been thinking about it for a long time, You've
- 18:13Speaker 3: been putting your design together, not only in your head,
- 18:15Speaker 3: you've probably you put pen to paper. But the cool
- 18:18Speaker 3: thing about Russell Pools, like maybe it's like six different
- 18:21Speaker 3: pools that you want a little bit of, hear a
- 18:22Speaker 3: little bit of they are from, and you want to
- 18:23Speaker 3: put them all together.
- 18:25Speaker 2: They can get that done because it is your dream pool.
- 18:27Speaker 3: They're gonna customize it to whatever your dreams are, and
- 18:30Speaker 3: they're gonna do that every single time over a Russell
- 18:32Speaker 3: Pool Company.
- 18:33Speaker 2: That's right.
- 18:33Speaker 4: Russell Pools the name you think of when you think
- 18:36Speaker 4: of high quality custom pools. And it doesn't make it
- 18:38Speaker 4: be big. It can be small. It can be it
- 18:41Speaker 4: can be super extravagant with the grotto and the fire,
- 18:45Speaker 4: it can be super super low key and chill man.
- 18:48Speaker 4: So they can really do anything, take your dream to reality.
- 18:51Speaker 4: They got two landscape architects right there on staff, so
- 18:54Speaker 4: they can draw it, they can build it. They can
- 18:57Speaker 4: maintain it. They can literally do everything. Russell dot Com, No.
- 19:11Speaker 9: That she's back in the ad must be drops Jupiter
- 19:15Speaker 9: in her head, yacks like some of him, walks like rain,
- 19:26Speaker 9: reminds me that there's time to change.
- 19:35Speaker 1: Tigers, turn talkers. This is off the bench slacks rings, talks.
- 19:40Speaker 10: Like June, Tell me did you said the cross?
- 19:51Speaker 8: Did you make it to.
- 19:52Speaker 10: The Milky Way to see the lats of feeding?
- 19:56Speaker 6: And not him in his own raider?
- 20:01Speaker 3: All right, welcome back in OTB here in hour number two.
- 20:06Speaker 9: You miss me while you looking for yourself out.
- 20:14Speaker 2: How are we feeling out there?
- 20:16Speaker 6: Everyone, Chipper, I mean I was kind of yelling in here.
- 20:21Speaker 7: You know, I'm in a better mood now than the
- 20:24Speaker 7: start of the show, are you?
- 20:25Speaker 6: It's just good to get things.
- 20:27Speaker 2: It is good to talk about it.
- 20:28Speaker 7: Just I just kind of sat at home all day
- 20:30Speaker 7: and didn't really do anything. Like I don't feel better now.
- 20:32Speaker 6: As we're a vibe. Sometimes TV is just a vibe.
- 20:35Speaker 2: Sometimes enjoy it's therapeutic.
- 20:39Speaker 4: Yes, absolutely, so you can come here off the bench.
- 20:43Speaker 4: Is that we're a safe place. We're a safe place
- 20:47Speaker 4: you can air out grievances that you have, you can
- 20:49Speaker 4: celebrate the victories, we can talk about the defeats within
- 20:53Speaker 4: a safe place we're in, like the trust tree right here.
- 20:56Speaker 2: It's nice. What was the thing that made you the
- 20:59Speaker 2: most angry about the game.
- 21:01Speaker 3: I think the seven man protection made me the most
- 21:03Speaker 3: angry when they played when they were showing cover zero
- 21:06Speaker 3: instead of just lining up and having a cover zero
- 21:08Speaker 3: beater ready to go, you were like.
- 21:10Speaker 4: Well, the problem is that their cover zero beaters stink
- 21:12Speaker 4: and they try to do it early. That's fair, and
- 21:14Speaker 4: they couldn't do it. It's a solid point.
- 21:16Speaker 3: But like your quarterback was literally like going to place
- 21:19Speaker 3: the tight end and like grabbing the running back and
- 21:21Speaker 3: placing the running back and was pointing who they had
- 21:24Speaker 3: to block within that.
- 21:25Speaker 4: Like, now there are some there are some schools of
- 21:28Speaker 4: thought out there that still do that. Even in the NFL,
- 21:30Speaker 4: se Sean Payton does that because cover zero they'll they'll
- 21:32Speaker 4: switch it to the call it eighty eight.
- 21:34Speaker 3: Eighty nine protection, like I think bo Nicks lines them
- 21:36Speaker 3: up though it walks them through walks the that's a
- 21:39Speaker 3: seven man protection and still didn't slide five this five anyway.
- 21:44Speaker 2: What made me most mad?
- 21:48Speaker 4: Oh, unnecessary RPOs, receivers running routes and running plays instead
- 21:58Speaker 4: of digging out safeties, RPOs where our offensive line can't
- 22:03Speaker 4: get to the second level RPOs where the running back
- 22:06Speaker 4: has to slow roll and because he doesn't know if
- 22:10Speaker 4: he's gonna get it or not, and then he is
- 22:12Speaker 4: too late and he misses the hole and we can
- 22:13Speaker 4: stopped for a no no game when it should have
- 22:15Speaker 4: been a five to six yard game. Yep, I'm actually
- 22:19Speaker 4: gonna pull one of those up hey fingers, cross guys
- 22:21Speaker 4: that it works.
- 22:22Speaker 11: You know.
- 22:22Speaker 3: The the also like the other thing for me after
- 22:26Speaker 3: Cayden Durham had the long run and look, I.
- 22:28Speaker 2: Give Kayden crazy. He's banged up.
- 22:30Speaker 3: You could tell like he runs with a little hitching
- 22:33Speaker 3: his get up. He doesn't finish the run, Okay, whatever.
- 22:37Speaker 3: When you're in the one yard line, it is like
- 22:45Speaker 3: it's such a mentality and it is such a I'm
- 22:49Speaker 3: an alpha, you're not I'm gonna score and there's not
- 22:52Speaker 3: a damn thing you can do about it to stop me.
- 22:56Speaker 2: Like I am the full belief.
- 22:59Speaker 3: If to one on eleven and you give me four
- 23:03Speaker 3: chances and find a way to get in there, it's
- 23:05Speaker 3: one yard right. So that whole series was a hot mess.
- 23:09Speaker 3: After you got down there, it was a disaster. You
- 23:12Speaker 3: got a penalty, you run a wildcat play from the
- 23:14Speaker 3: six yard line. That play should never be brought out
- 23:18Speaker 3: right there, like ever, never, no situation, no scenario. But
- 23:24Speaker 3: as bad as all of that was after that, and
- 23:27Speaker 3: you did score, but you had a legal formation. As
- 23:30Speaker 3: bad as all of that was after that, you go
- 23:34Speaker 3: back to it being first and goal from the one
- 23:36Speaker 3: yard line and you don't score. That is three times
- 23:40Speaker 3: in the last two games that you've been on the
- 23:42Speaker 3: one yard line with downs to go and not scored.
- 23:47Speaker 3: You want to talk about some damn issues. That might
- 23:50Speaker 3: be the main one for me that just makes me angry.
- 23:54Speaker 3: One yard line is a mindset, it's a mentality. It's
- 23:57Speaker 3: a I'm a big dog, I'm eating your starving. I'm scoring,
- 24:01Speaker 3: and you've been down there three times and have nothing
- 24:05Speaker 3: to show for it with downs to go. We're not
- 24:08Speaker 3: talking about fourth down situations. I'd get mad about that.
- 24:12Speaker 3: I'm pissed about not getting a touchdown when you're on
- 24:16Speaker 3: the one yard line.
- 24:18Speaker 2: I know what.
- 24:21Speaker 4: Yeah, it's uh, it's inexcusable to get to the one
- 24:23Speaker 4: yard line and and not score. Yeah, it wasn't perfectly blocking.
- 24:30Speaker 4: She should have scored. I mean, I think you asked him.
- 24:32Speaker 4: He's like, yeah, should have? I should have scored? Should have?
- 24:35Speaker 4: I think he he was expecting contact and he leaned
- 24:38Speaker 4: forward and kind of fell forward a little bit instead
- 24:40Speaker 4: of staying up, which you know, and it wasn't his
- 24:43Speaker 4: best running and he would be the first to admit that.
- 24:47Speaker 3: And I say it on the broadcast all the time.
- 24:51Speaker 3: A play like that. You run for a yard, you
- 24:55Speaker 3: run for a yard, you find the crease that you
- 24:58Speaker 3: think is the one that gives you access to the
- 25:01Speaker 3: end zone, whatever it is. Whatever that crease is, it
- 25:04Speaker 3: might be an inch wide, it might be ten inches wide.
- 25:07Speaker 3: But once you find the crease that you think it is,
- 25:11Speaker 3: you put the hammer down, you throttle that son of
- 25:13Speaker 3: a gun, and you score, son of a gun, and
- 25:17Speaker 3: you score, you know what I mean? Like and again,
- 25:21Speaker 3: like Katon got you down there with a fifty plus
- 25:23Speaker 3: yard run, I get that, but give it, just give
- 25:27Speaker 3: him give him something, give him, give him the smallest
- 25:30Speaker 3: crease that you can imagine, but still a crease, and
- 25:33Speaker 3: Lane put his head down and go getting the end zone.
- 25:35Speaker 2: You know, all right? So what drove you the most crazy? Hell? Nothing.
- 25:43Speaker 2: That's it.
- 25:44Speaker 3: Yeah, that was it, that seven man protection in that
- 25:48Speaker 3: because a seven man protection to me, I almost always
- 25:53Speaker 3: took it as disrespect to the running back. Yeah, that
- 25:56Speaker 3: I couldn't handle what I needed to in a six
- 25:58Speaker 3: man protection, right, And.
- 26:01Speaker 2: I you know, the college football is different.
- 26:03Speaker 3: There's not like enough to be able to you know,
- 26:05Speaker 3: tell is this guy a really good pass protector? Like
- 26:07Speaker 3: the like when we played like Jim but just asked
- 26:11Speaker 3: us to do so much in pass protection as running backs,
- 26:13Speaker 3: like we were cross keying. So like when I got
- 26:16Speaker 3: to the next level, it was like, oh, I've been
- 26:17Speaker 3: doing this for four years and look, Cayden's past protection
- 26:21Speaker 3: great in this game was eighteen, So I don't know
- 26:24Speaker 3: if he wasn't great.
- 26:26Speaker 4: He had a tough time early on blocking his guy.
- 26:29Speaker 4: And I blame a lot of it on not necessarily
- 26:32Speaker 4: just him, I blame it on every the communication between
- 26:35Speaker 4: the line, the quarterback and the running back and pass protection.
- 26:38Speaker 4: I can't find it on film where they're communicating with
- 26:42Speaker 4: each other, not even like with points or anything. So
- 26:44Speaker 4: I think the I think the center after watching and
- 26:46Speaker 4: watching and watching, I think the center is the main
- 26:49Speaker 4: person in charge of the mic declaration in pass protection,
- 26:52Speaker 4: which is an issue to me. It is a problem
- 26:55Speaker 4: because your quarterback doesn't know where he's hot from. The
- 26:57Speaker 4: running backs don't know who their responsibility is. Now, maybe
- 27:01Speaker 4: you know the film that I'm watching doesn't start until
- 27:04Speaker 4: a certain point, so maybe the mike declarations are happening
- 27:08Speaker 4: before that. But there's multiple times Wherekad and Durham Mike
- 27:11Speaker 4: was working to the will. He should have been blocking
- 27:13Speaker 4: the mic, but he's looking to the Sam linebacker. So
- 27:16Speaker 4: like there's there's a communication. I've noticed it in a
- 27:18Speaker 4: lot of these different games. I'm like, who's calling the
- 27:20Speaker 4: MIC's again? Because the center is communicating with the guard
- 27:23Speaker 4: and pointing to a certain guy, but nobody's looking back
- 27:27Speaker 4: at Nussmeyer and telling them who they're going to. Because
- 27:31Speaker 4: the quarterbacks got to relate it to the running back.
- 27:33Speaker 4: There's communication between those five guys, the running back in
- 27:36Speaker 4: the court. Everybody's got to be on the same page.
- 27:38Speaker 4: And No I was in an offense like that at Seattle.
- 27:41Speaker 4: I hated it. Well, the quarterback was not in charge
- 27:44Speaker 4: of making the mic declaration, and they're like, oh, we
- 27:46Speaker 4: want to make it easier on the quarterback. Well, the
- 27:48Speaker 4: hell you are making my job harder because I don't
- 27:52Speaker 4: know who's coming. Now, maybe it easier for some other
- 27:55Speaker 4: keys people.
- 27:57Speaker 2: I mean I didn't. I mean I didn't like the
- 28:00Speaker 2: center calling the mic when I was a running back.
- 28:01Speaker 3: I liked you being able to be like, hey, hey,
- 28:03Speaker 3: say hey, yea, Mike's fifty six.
- 28:05Speaker 4: All right, just it just eliminates confusion, right if you
- 28:07Speaker 4: can just tell the running back. But if the center's
- 28:09Speaker 4: making it, uh, all right, real quick, hey, just I
- 28:13Speaker 4: got it working. Taylor hit me with a clip real quick.
- 28:17Speaker 4: This is another place is really like you asked me
- 28:20Speaker 4: what drove me crazy? So another one. I pulled up RPOs,
- 28:23Speaker 4: r pos, r pos, RPOs, so many behind the line
- 28:26Speaker 4: of scrimmage. Run the damn ball.
- 28:30Speaker 2: Pull it.
- 28:34Speaker 4: We got numbers down below. Yeah, it's not the it's
- 28:36Speaker 4: not the most advantageous look because they kind of you
- 28:39Speaker 4: could kind of make this a third one or second one.
- 28:41Speaker 4: This is the second one, I believe. Yeah, you can kind
- 28:43Speaker 4: of make the argument that they have seven in the
- 28:45Speaker 4: box and you have six blockers.
- 28:48Speaker 2: So what.
- 28:51Speaker 4: They're they're rotating to safety down to the to the
- 28:54Speaker 4: screen side. Again, I don't know what his reads are,
- 28:57Speaker 4: what his looks are run the dang ball.
- 29:01Speaker 2: Yeah we loaded again, like, oh, here we we go.
- 29:04Speaker 4: Yeah, so this is that we have the zone to
- 29:06Speaker 4: the left on the on the screen will be to
- 29:08Speaker 4: your right, but to the left side of the line
- 29:09Speaker 4: of scrimmage blocked up perfectly, Yeah, perfectly the gash. Yeah, golly,
- 29:16Speaker 4: the gash. Stop giving him the option to do this.
- 29:24Speaker 4: And I don't know. I don't know if they're sitting
- 29:25Speaker 4: in the quarterback pot and grading it and being like, yeah,
- 29:27Speaker 4: that's all right, you get a plus, get a plus
- 29:30Speaker 4: for that.
- 29:31Speaker 2: I don't know.
- 29:31Speaker 3: Well, I'll give you a minus. Go into it real quick.
- 29:34Speaker 3: Stop stop seventy five. You gotta have some awareness, my
- 29:39Speaker 3: guy right tackle. You got this guy. Look, you got
- 29:43Speaker 3: a hingeback. Eleven is not as big of a threat
- 29:45Speaker 3: as this guy that's about to enter himself between tight
- 29:48Speaker 3: end and tackle. You got a hingeback. Take that hit
- 29:51Speaker 3: off your running back and leave your running back one
- 29:53Speaker 3: on one with this linebacker that's got his heels at
- 29:56Speaker 3: five yards away from the line of scrimmage. Yeah, I
- 29:58Speaker 3: don't know if I'm yeah, I'm with you, I get it,
- 30:02Speaker 3: but like, that's not blowing up the play. But I'm
- 30:04Speaker 3: just saying like, those are the things that Like when
- 30:05Speaker 3: we showed Vanderbilt clips, that's what they were doing, right
- 30:10Speaker 3: the guy that his guy's not bow or sharp, but
- 30:12Speaker 3: he eliminated him, then took on trade as green and
- 30:15Speaker 3: his padna was able to make the play.
- 30:17Speaker 4: I mean he should be one on one, the number
- 30:19Speaker 4: one right there, third level anyway, run the demo.
- 30:25Speaker 2: All right, all right.
- 30:29Speaker 3: When it comes to heavy construction and industrial work across Louisiana,
- 30:34Speaker 3: nobody does it better than Pala. From fabrication and maintenance

- 31:07Speaker 3: I don't really care the things that made you the
- 31:09Speaker 3: most upset, you'll ready to have those Maybe when we
- 31:11Speaker 3: come back that way, I give you all time to
- 31:13Speaker 3: really marinate, maybe think about it. Uh, maybe we can
- 31:16Speaker 3: even pull up a play if y'all can. Launder's got
- 31:20Speaker 3: the Christmas list right ready to go. It's a scroll.
- 31:23Speaker 3: We'll have that for you when we jump back here.
- 31:25Speaker 3: It is off campus, off campus, off the bench, off
- 31:30Speaker 3: the bench, a lot of off off the.
- 31:33Speaker 11: Bench, off the bench.
- 31:35Speaker 2: That's why I just try to keep it simple with
- 31:37Speaker 2: OTB be better.

- 33:41Speaker 8: the roads we have to walk co winding.
- 33:46Speaker 2: And all the lies.
- 33:47Speaker 8: Alida is a blind game. Better a man anything said
- 33:54Speaker 8: I like to say. You don't know how.
- 34:01Speaker 3: All right, Welcome back in OTB Live from the Raisin
- 34:05Speaker 3: Kines Studio. You're gonna throw it over to a Laundri
- 34:09Speaker 3: and Tata, we aired our grievances with the thing that
- 34:13Speaker 3: made us the most upset, ie was seven man protection
- 34:17Speaker 3: and also not scoring on the one yard line for
- 34:19Speaker 3: the third time in two games.
- 34:22Speaker 2: Not scoring like from the one yard with multiple downs
- 34:26Speaker 2: to go. What was yours? RPOs?
- 34:29Speaker 4: RP Yeah, just poor you know, offensive line planes general,
- 34:33Speaker 4: but RPOs not really allowing offensive linemen to be aggressive,
- 34:39Speaker 4: slow rolling handoffs to where we can't really hit the
- 34:41Speaker 4: whole herd, and then more importantly like run the dang
- 34:45Speaker 4: balk with throwing a lot of receiver screens and having
- 34:47Speaker 4: your wide receivers run r PO routes instead of digging
- 34:50Speaker 4: out safeties.
- 34:52Speaker 2: All right, a Laundra, Tata.
- 34:55Speaker 5: So I'm actually with you on this one. The lack
- 35:00Speaker 5: of ability to score when you're in the red zone
- 35:04Speaker 5: and on the one yard line makes me so angry
- 35:09Speaker 5: that I can't even begin to explain because it's also,
- 35:12Speaker 5: like you said, it just it's a different mindset, like
- 35:16Speaker 5: I'm you're there, and I'm going to score no matter what,
- 35:20Speaker 5: and so it just feels so soft to me that
- 35:23Speaker 5: you're on the one yard line and you can't again
- 35:28Speaker 5: with multiple downs to go and you can't get it
- 35:32Speaker 5: past the pylon, like it just it blows my mind
- 35:36Speaker 5: and it makes me so angry. And I think that
- 35:38Speaker 5: the mentality of this team and the lack of physicality
- 35:42Speaker 5: of it too also is like my biggest gripe with it.
- 35:50Speaker 5: I mean, you show good where we were getting big
- 35:54Speaker 5: boyd by. Again, this isn't your granddaddy's Vanderbilt, your daddy's Vanderbilt,
- 36:01Speaker 5: but it's still Vanderbilt. And they still out physicaled you.
- 36:05Speaker 5: They played way better than you and pretty much every
- 36:08Speaker 5: aspect of the game.
- 36:10Speaker 2: Yea.
- 36:10Speaker 5: And it just and the other part is that I
- 36:13Speaker 5: feel like, and again I am not well versed enough
- 36:17Speaker 5: to say this definitively, so you can tell me if
- 36:20Speaker 5: you agree or disagree with me, But it feels like
- 36:23Speaker 5: there's no sort of scheme or like game plan or like,
- 36:28Speaker 5: if there is, there's no rhyme or reason to it.
- 36:31Speaker 2: Once you get downsily. Yeah.
- 36:33Speaker 3: So actually when you were saying that, it reminded me
- 36:37Speaker 3: of something that I picked up live during the game.
- 36:40Speaker 3: So after Cayden got stopped on the one yard, so
- 36:42Speaker 3: now you're second and one from the one, yeah, remember
- 36:46Speaker 3: well that they call time out.
- 36:50Speaker 2: Yeah, because you had one receiver. See, yeah, because you
- 36:56Speaker 2: had one come in, but you had two leave. Yes.
- 36:59Speaker 3: But then and look, Vanderbilt's got good coaches again, I
- 37:04Speaker 3: played with their defense coordinators a smart football player. After
- 37:07Speaker 3: the timeout, they went into the huddle and Nussmeyer I
- 37:10Speaker 3: think I'm pretty sure he either read off a wristband or.
- 37:13Speaker 2: Whatever it was.
- 37:14Speaker 3: It was like in detail what he was saying to
- 37:16Speaker 3: every single person, Okay, that tells me that you've got something.
- 37:20Speaker 3: It's probably going to be through the air. Now you scored.
- 37:22Speaker 3: Zavian Thomas is the one where he motioned in looked
- 37:24Speaker 3: like he was going to cut off backside on a run,
- 37:26Speaker 3: goes out. Okay, cool. Like even that, it's like you
- 37:28Speaker 3: kind of telegraph that because you huddled up and then
- 37:31Speaker 3: you saw nuss Meyer go over the entire play there.
- 37:35Speaker 3: Like even that, it's like, okay, well you got a penalty.
- 37:37Speaker 3: Why because you had a lot of different things going
- 37:39Speaker 3: on in that play. Now you got to stay disciplined,
- 37:41Speaker 3: like that's on players.
- 37:42Speaker 2: You get paid.
- 37:43Speaker 3: You got to be able to not have an illegal formation.
- 37:46Speaker 3: But like even there, it's like, you're in the one
- 37:47Speaker 3: yard line's second down, do we really need that?
- 37:51Speaker 8: Right?
- 37:51Speaker 3: Is that what you really need to call or do
- 37:53Speaker 3: you need to just hey, hey Jack Pibron, come on,
- 37:56Speaker 3: come on in the game. Hey, tight ends, y'all come
- 37:59Speaker 3: on in here, right, because like when you have movement
- 38:02Speaker 3: and motion down there, you have.
- 38:05Speaker 4: They just don't don't flinch though. I mean for sure
- 38:07Speaker 4: it was a good play call. It was a good
- 38:08Speaker 4: play call, well executed. Just you know, your third tight
- 38:12Speaker 4: end comes in and flinches a little bit when the
- 38:15Speaker 4: when the defensive line does that shift. And that's why
- 38:17Speaker 4: the defense legal formation. I can't remember the false start
- 38:19Speaker 4: because the defense.
- 38:20Speaker 7: A legal on Chester later he was too far off
- 38:24Speaker 7: which and when I mean too far off, I mean
- 38:26Speaker 7: like three yards.
- 38:26Speaker 4: Yeah he was, he was, which they the defensive line.
- 38:29Speaker 4: This is this is why defensive defenses do this to
- 38:32Speaker 4: draw to get a false start, especially down here, uh
- 38:36Speaker 4: in this tight zone, because if they get a penalty,
- 38:38Speaker 4: it doesn't matter.
- 38:39Speaker 2: You move the ball two inches. Now if we get
- 38:42Speaker 2: a penalty, moves it back five hours.
- 38:43Speaker 4: They do the quick shift to the left, and it's
- 38:46Speaker 4: that's hard to hold your water. I mean it is
- 38:48Speaker 4: like when the defense behind that all shift Matthew football.
- 38:53Speaker 4: It was easy, everybody would do it, but it was
- 38:55Speaker 4: a good It was a good play call. I'm not
- 38:56Speaker 4: gonna hate on that. That was a good play call.
- 38:58Speaker 4: We scored, but it we just flinched.
- 38:59Speaker 2: Go it was But I think just like that's third
- 39:02Speaker 2: down call. If I'm no, I think it's I think
- 39:05Speaker 2: it's a second down call.
- 39:06Speaker 4: It's it's a second down call just because they're down there,
- 39:09Speaker 4: they're expecting.
- 39:09Speaker 2: A little bit more quarterback.
- 39:11Speaker 8: Now.
- 39:11Speaker 2: The wildcat play awful play. That was the worst. It
- 39:17Speaker 2: was terrible. But so if you're gonna do it, can
- 39:19Speaker 2: you can we pull that.
- 39:20Speaker 4: UPA can pull it up. I got it right here.
- 39:22Speaker 4: We're going to see if it works. But wait, fingers crossed,
- 39:29Speaker 4: fingers crossed. Yeah, So the wildcat play, it wasn't even
- 39:31Speaker 4: really a wildcat. It was just a direct snap.
- 39:34Speaker 2: Yeah. Two.
- 39:36Speaker 4: So they're running back. But I don't even know what
- 39:38Speaker 4: you call the play. It's like a wedge. I think
- 39:42Speaker 4: that is not like it's a hardline. So the problem is,
- 39:46Speaker 4: like wildcat, you use the wildcat to get an extra
- 39:49Speaker 4: blocker up to the second level, turns into ISO on
- 39:51Speaker 4: the But look at the two tight ends. They're just
- 39:53Speaker 4: wedging down. They're they're trying to go into the b
- 39:56Speaker 4: gap to find to get to the second level.
- 39:59Speaker 2: Oh my, what is it?
- 40:01Speaker 4: I don't know? Oh I know what it is. It's
- 40:04Speaker 4: the Flying v emilest Bez did it?
- 40:09Speaker 2: The ducks did it?
- 40:10Speaker 4: Ducks fly together, go to the end zone copy of that.
- 40:13Speaker 4: But we're gonna try. We're gonna try everyone. Oh, come on,
- 40:18Speaker 4: Taylor got this?
- 40:20Speaker 6: What did just I didn't want the black screen up
- 40:22Speaker 6: then in no longer.
- 40:23Speaker 2: And that's not fooling anybody. No.
- 40:25Speaker 3: And and also if you're gonna do it side by side, Juwan,
- 40:29Speaker 3: don't put your hands up, my guy. Look, I don't
- 40:32Speaker 3: do we mm hm oh my, this is worse than
- 40:36Speaker 3: I thought. Too far as off off a little bit.
- 40:39Speaker 3: He's calling the Cadence. But Juwan's got his hands up.
- 40:41Speaker 3: I wonder what's gonna happen?
- 40:43Speaker 4: At least just take nuts out, like go line him
- 40:45Speaker 4: up out there so they have to walk.
- 40:46Speaker 6: Somebody out with him, right, Nobody goes with him when
- 40:48Speaker 6: he runs. Watch, nobody goes with us mine.
- 40:50Speaker 4: We're just trying to bad like, I mean, what are
- 40:55Speaker 4: you telling to read? You're going up the zero the
- 40:58Speaker 4: zero hole and just find go You're gonna go left
- 41:01Speaker 4: or right?
- 41:02Speaker 3: What I'd go left because of leverage.
- 41:04Speaker 2: But sure, but like it's an impossible impossible try to
- 41:07Speaker 2: hit right here.
- 41:08Speaker 5: This is way worse than whenever I like looking at
- 41:11Speaker 5: the film.
- 41:11Speaker 7: It is way worse than Ye smart was a wasted
- 41:14Speaker 7: player on that play.
- 41:16Speaker 6: Nobody goes with them because they don't any gain.
- 41:18Speaker 2: What are you saying it doesn't look like a normal
- 41:19Speaker 2: shotgun play.
- 41:20Speaker 3: Again, if you're gonna call the cadence with your quarterback,
- 41:22Speaker 3: don't have the wildcat guys getting direct snap with his
- 41:25Speaker 3: hands up.
- 41:26Speaker 2: Yeah, directly behind the center, y'all.
- 41:31Speaker 3: Like I went to a high school where that was
- 41:33Speaker 3: like a staple play for us, Like direct snap to
- 41:35Speaker 3: the running back. It was a great play. My hands
- 41:38Speaker 3: were on my knees like I was. And guess what
- 41:41Speaker 3: when the center snapped it. Guess what I did more
- 41:43Speaker 3: for my niece to hear and caught it.
- 41:45Speaker 4: And it's super easy to say, like, hey, you should
- 41:47Speaker 4: have gone left right there, Like things are happening so fast.
- 41:49Speaker 4: You can't as a running back, you can't be expected
- 41:53Speaker 4: to go run right at the ass of the center
- 41:56Speaker 4: and go left or right right now sometimes.
- 42:00Speaker 2: You cut back. You gotta read like a belly play
- 42:02Speaker 2: on a zone play like to the right.
- 42:04Speaker 4: Sometimes you read the leverage and you cut backside like
- 42:07Speaker 4: you just like get a direct sapp and you run
- 42:09Speaker 4: to the ass of the center.
- 42:10Speaker 2: So like, I don't even know, I don't know, I've
- 42:12Speaker 2: never seen that.
- 42:12Speaker 5: Play gets least favorite thing after the break Yeah.
- 42:19Speaker 2: Yeah, yeah, bully. Oh oh sorry, sorry, what's the break? Break? Break?
- 42:25Speaker 2: Break break break?
