- 0:04SPEAKER_05: Oh yeah.
- 0:05SPEAKER_04: And it has that milk in it.
- 0:07SPEAKER_05: Yeah.
- 0:07SPEAKER_04: Do you drink the milk?
- 0:08SPEAKER_05: No, no, you've got to drain it like tofu.
- 0:11SPEAKER_04: No, you drink the tofu m water.
- 0:13SPEAKER_05: Why why would you drink it?
- 0:15SPEAKER_04: Because you're paying for it.
- 0:16SPEAKER_04: It's a waste otherwise.
- 0:17SPEAKER_04: Why would you n why would you not drink it?
- 0:18SPEAKER_04: You're paying for it by weight.
- 0:20SPEAKER_04: The tofu milk is can is part of that.
- 0:23SPEAKER_04: Drink the tofu milk.
- 0:24SPEAKER_05: You're not really paying for it by weight, to be honest.
- 0:27SPEAKER_05: And plus it's like 50p for like a pearl of mozzarella, so.
- 0:31SPEAKER_04: Yeah, and I'm not throwing 5p down the drain by wasting that delicious water.
- 0:50SPEAKER_04: Hello and welcome to Lucky and Wild, a podcast about fighting games and the video games that didn't cost 60 pounds.
- 0:55SPEAKER_04: Only to disappoint you.
- 0:56SPEAKER_04: My name's Harrison Hunt, and with me, he was grown in a lab, and science cannot answer whether or not that was a good idea.
- 1:03SPEAKER_05: No, I was born in a lab.
- 1:04SPEAKER_05: I was born in the lab mode.
- 1:05SPEAKER_05: The lab.
- 1:06SPEAKER_04: Yeah, that's good.
- 1:07SPEAKER_04: That's good.
- 1:07SPEAKER_04: Train the lab is what uh fighting game people call uh training mode.
- 1:12SPEAKER_04: So I've explained the joke, making it funnier, right?
- 1:15SPEAKER_05: Yeah, I was you know, uh you adopted the lab and fuck you.
- 1:19SPEAKER_04: Um right, so we've got uh today we've got your feedback, we've got the news, we're gonna be talking about what we've been playing, and we're gonna do our radio style items and getting lucky, getting lucky and going wild, followed by your mail.
- 1:31SPEAKER_04: Shall we do some feedback?
- 1:32SPEAKER_05: Uh let's go.
- 1:36SPEAKER_01: What are you saying?
- 1:37SPEAKER_01: Saying, saying.
- 1:39SPEAKER_04: Alright, first one comes in from Singo.
- 1:41SPEAKER_04: Um, right, so last episode we did the versus fighting documentary, and uh, you know, you came came out with some pretty horrible things you were saying about Birmingham and its people.
- 1:53SPEAKER_05: Well, I didn't really, I mean, I I didn't really say horrible things.
- 1:56SPEAKER_04: I mean For those that don't know, people often call Sean the hate smith.
- 2:00SPEAKER_05: No, they don't they don't really.
- 2:02SPEAKER_04: I mean, you know, it's just it's just a few select people.
- 2:05SPEAKER_05: We were like sort of accosted by a few crackheads in our in our stay, but we were.
- 2:10SPEAKER_05: We were a lot of crackheads around, a lot of homelessness, but um a lot of litter because there's like a bin per two miles as well.
- 2:18SPEAKER_04: Yep, yeah, you were one of those.
- 2:20SPEAKER_05: Yeah, food bin, yeah.
- 2:22SPEAKER_05: Nice uh big up spoons.
- 2:24SPEAKER_04: Big up spoons, just giving a shout out there.
- 2:26SPEAKER_04: That's not even a sponsorship.
- 2:27SPEAKER_04: Um anyway, uh Singo, he ran the Third Strike and Super Street Fighter 2 turbo tournaments and obviously smashed it, right?
- 2:35SPEAKER_04: It was the highlight of the entire weekend.
- 2:37SPEAKER_04: We went for Guilty Gear, we stayed for the Street Fighter.
- 2:39SPEAKER_05: It was very yeah, it was very smoothly run.
- 2:42SPEAKER_05: Um and hype as fuck.
- 2:43SPEAKER_04: But we'll talk about that later and what we've been playing.
- 2:45SPEAKER_04: But uh Singo actually comes in with some feedback.
- 2:47SPEAKER_04: He says, Lol, the Birmingham slander is killing me.
- 2:50SPEAKER_04: I'm noting all of this, and I'll be putting you fools up against the top seed to next year.
- 2:55SPEAKER_05: No, no, no.
- 2:55SPEAKER_04: I'm blaming you for that, Sean.
- 2:57SPEAKER_05: But there were some nice people in Birmingham.
- 2:59SPEAKER_05: Uh much nicer than you know, if you were in London, uh, people wouldn't even talk to you.
- 3:04SPEAKER_04: That's the truth of it, isn't it?
- 3:05SPEAKER_04: I mean, look, Singo, in my defence, every single city I've ever been to, I've complained about.
- 3:11SPEAKER_04: And Sean, you can back me up on that.
- 3:12SPEAKER_04: Yeah, I mean I just don't like going to cities.
- 3:15SPEAKER_04: We ha we frequently have to go to London for like we went for Street Fighter 6 for the Beyblade tournament recently, all manner of stuff.
- 3:21SPEAKER_04: And what what happens every time we go to London?
- 3:23SPEAKER_05: Uh well you get you get annoyed at the city.
- 3:26SPEAKER_04: I do get annoyed at the city.
- 3:27SPEAKER_04: I don't like tall buildings, I don't like dirt and grime, and London is perhaps the worst one.
- 3:31SPEAKER_04: But can you name Sean a big city I've been to that I haven't complained about?
- 3:36SPEAKER_04: Um I don't say one's in Japan, because they don't count because they're nice.
- 3:41SPEAKER_05: Yeah, but they are like you've been to the biggest city, Tokyo.
- 3:45SPEAKER_04: Yeah.
- 3:46SPEAKER_04: That was great.
- 3:47SPEAKER_04: But I've also been to Sheffield, shit old, Paris, terrible, one of the worst places.
- 3:52SPEAKER_05: Yeah, it is.
- 3:53SPEAKER_04: Um Casablanca, actually, that was nice too.
- 3:55SPEAKER_04: Shit.
- 3:56SPEAKER_04: Damn.
- 3:57unknown: Damn!
- 3:58SPEAKER_04: But look, Birmingham overall, you know, just like any big city in the UK, unfortunately the government are not funding any cleaning for the streets, and they're not getting the drug addicts off the streets.
- 4:09SPEAKER_04: Well, and the same can be said for London, right?
- 4:11SPEAKER_05: If you live in the UK, London's probably the best city.
- 4:14SPEAKER_05: Uh you are joking.
- 4:15SPEAKER_05: Well, it's because like the Have you been to Bath?
- 4:18SPEAKER_05: I mean, Bath is excellent, yeah.
- 4:20SPEAKER_04: There you go.
- 4:21SPEAKER_04: Uh London is the worst one, closely followed by Sheffield.
- 4:25SPEAKER_04: That actually no, Sheffield is absolutely the worst.
- 4:28SPEAKER_04: Um, but look, in my defence, what I'm saying is that I complain about all big cities.
- 4:33SPEAKER_04: And in in this particular case, Birmingham has nice people.
- 4:36SPEAKER_04: That is one thing that London does not have.
- 4:38SPEAKER_05: Yeah, exactly.
- 4:38SPEAKER_04: London only has uh bad people crime, crime knives, yeah, flying knives, anger, anger, uh cuts, people cussing your mum, left, right, and centre, which is out of order, to be honest.
- 4:50SPEAKER_04: Fang ass.
- 4:51SPEAKER_04: It's really out of order.
- 4:53SPEAKER_04: Um he does uh continue his message and says, Funny podcast, you guys are like a couple on the verge of divorce, but keeping it together for the sake of the kids.
- 5:01SPEAKER_04: Lol.
- 5:02SPEAKER_04: Yeah, I mean, bear in mind that that actually that was uh what we bickered about on the podcast was only the times when I thought to record it.
- 5:10SPEAKER_04: I remember the amount of times I was trying to get Sean to sort of like you know, you know, when you go to a con or a fighting game tournament, you're gonna see some weird stuff, people stuff.
- 5:20SPEAKER_04: Yeah, I mean it's not that bad a PS fight and no, no, it's all it's it's a good atmosphere and full of like really nice people.
- 5:27SPEAKER_05: But like the example There's one there's one or two people I can think of, particularly one, but you know who's that?
- 5:33SPEAKER_05: No, I don't know, man.
- 5:34SPEAKER_05: No, you don't know, do you?
- 5:36SPEAKER_04: No, no, you don't want to say his name.
- 5:37SPEAKER_04: Huddersfield John.
- 5:38SPEAKER_05: No, yeah.
- 5:39SPEAKER_04: No, listen, I I just I I uh I'm just saying, like, for example, not not just normal people like that.
- 5:46SPEAKER_04: No, but like like like when we were in the guilty gear room and that geezer head butted his controller.
- 5:51SPEAKER_04: Right.
- 5:51SPEAKER_04: That that was sweet.
- 5:53SPEAKER_04: You see stuff like that quite often, right?
- 5:55SPEAKER_04: And it's like I was the amount of times, and this wasn't recorded, but the amount of times I was like, just I'd nudge Sean and be like, look over there, and I'd I'd gesture with my head, and Sean would just look the complete opposite direction.
- 6:06SPEAKER_04: I could be pointing directly at it, like I don't know.
- 6:08SPEAKER_04: Listen.
- 6:09SPEAKER_05: I mean, there were the I mean there's stuff happening all around you, you know.
- 6:12SPEAKER_04: Yeah, it's just crazy.
- 6:13SPEAKER_04: So how can you not look and so singo, yes, it we did picker a lot, but just spend the day with Sean, and I guarantee you you will lose your actual will to live.
- 6:23SPEAKER_04: Well, no, you'll blow your mind because Yeah, you'll blow your mind with a shotgun all up the wall.
- 6:29SPEAKER_05: Well, no, I have a lot of interesting things to say.
- 6:31SPEAKER_04: Go on and say something interesting right now.
- 6:33SPEAKER_05: Uh well, um no, I can't right now.
- 6:36SPEAKER_05: Oh, that's that's interesting.
- 6:38SPEAKER_05: We've got the rest of the podcast to do that.
- 6:39SPEAKER_05: Yeah, yeah.
- 6:40SPEAKER_04: Well, you've got you've got two and a half hours to think of it.
- 6:42SPEAKER_04: So you come up with if you say one interesting thing in this podcast, then you're staying on the podcast.
- 6:47SPEAKER_04: Otherwise, otherwise I'm getting Gold Car Jack to be the second host.
- 6:50SPEAKER_05: Surely that's the point of the podcast is for me to say interesting things.
- 6:54SPEAKER_04: And yet here we are.
- 6:56SPEAKER_04: You haven't yet, but one of these days.
- 6:58SPEAKER_04: Anyway, um the other thing was in the VS Fighting episode, uh uh there was an early edit of the podcast where I mistakenly said that the Super Street Fighter 2 Turbo tournament that Singo ran was like uh they were competing for 20 quid.
- 7:12SPEAKER_04: I did ask him about the prize fund and uh re-uploaded the file with the correction in it.
- 7:19SPEAKER_04: So now everyone that hears it should uh hear it hear the correction.
- 7:22SPEAKER_04: But the truth of it is that I got it wrong to begin with, and actually they what he does is he has a thing called the Macherino, which is like a crowdfunding thing, and that adds to the prize pool.
- 7:33SPEAKER_04: So the players were actually competing for uh well he see he actually describes it here.
- 7:37SPEAKER_04: So he says the crowdfunding amount is in addition to what is in the pot from game entry.
- 7:41SPEAKER_04: Crowdfunding is provided solely by the community and distributed to the top eight players in full.
- 7:46SPEAKER_04: So this year's third strike was£10 per player, so there, and there were 101 entrants, so that's£1,010 prize pool to be split 60, 30, 10 between first, second, and third.
- 7:57SPEAKER_04: Super Turbo was 56 players, so 560 prize pool as split the same, right?
- 8:03SPEAKER_04: So yeah, they were actually competing for a shitload of cash.
- 8:06SPEAKER_04: And then he I can't remember what the crowdfunding amount was for third strike.
- 8:10SPEAKER_05: It was 307 quid, weren't it?
- 8:12SPEAKER_04: Yeah, it was three.
- 8:13SPEAKER_04: I think it was it says here$390.69 pence, so or cents.
- 8:18SPEAKER_04: So that's amazing.
- 8:19SPEAKER_05: Yeah, right?
- 8:20SPEAKER_04: The fact that I think people want it to happen exactly, and I I thought that what his biggest strength as a tournament organiser was the atmosphere and the hype.
- 8:29SPEAKER_04: You know, when we're up in the guilty gear room and you you could you couldn't you couldn't pay those people actually they are being paid, so literally you couldn't pay those people to be enthusiastic about when your match is coming up, but uh singo and uh his uh other like helpers were standing there with a megaphone calling out people's names and announcing the finals and all of this stuff.
- 8:49SPEAKER_04: So it was hyper shit.
- 8:51SPEAKER_04: Well it's what we wanted from you know, and then in addition to that, he's he's actually doing crowdfunding to make the prize pool bigger, which I just think is like I don't know.
- 9:00SPEAKER_04: It was the we we went to that tournament for guilty gear.
- 9:03SPEAKER_04: The highlight was super turbo and third uh we didn't enter third strike, but we watched it, right?
- 9:08SPEAKER_04: Yeah, it was so fucking good, and now that I know that there's a big old water cash going, well, that's it.
- 9:13SPEAKER_04: To be honest, I'm practicing for next year.
- 9:15SPEAKER_05: I'm going back for I mean, I'm I'm gonna try and go back for the super turbo trophy, to be honest.
- 9:20SPEAKER_04: That's right, because you've made a new rival.
- 9:21SPEAKER_04: What was his name?
- 9:22SPEAKER_05: I don't know, man.
- 9:23SPEAKER_04: Don't know.
- 9:24SPEAKER_05: You tell me.
- 9:25SPEAKER_04: You tell me.
- 9:26SPEAKER_04: Um, right, so he uh actually concludes his message.
- 9:30SPEAKER_04: He there was another part in there as well, but uh unfortunately we'll we'll cut it out for brevity.
- 9:35SPEAKER_04: But he says, hopefully see you at more events.
- 9:36SPEAKER_04: The next one we may go to is called Sodium So Showdown, which is in Bristol, hosted by Super Minor Bat Super Minor Battle Farm.
- 9:44SPEAKER_04: Now I didn't we didn't get to go to that because our money was completely wiped out from spending a holiday in Birmingham.
- 9:49SPEAKER_04: Um gave all my money to Cracker innocent.
- 9:52SPEAKER_04: No, I didn't, I didn't, I did not, but I but I um uh very broke most of the time.
- 9:56SPEAKER_04: So I did want to go to Sodium's showdown, but I ended up watching it and it was really fucking good.
- 10:00SPEAKER_04: You should go online and watch the uh third strike.
- 10:02SPEAKER_04: It was fucking excellent.
- 10:03SPEAKER_04: And most a lot of the guys from that were there as well.
- 10:06SPEAKER_04: So but I'm thinking, do we move up north?
- 10:10SPEAKER_05: Well, uh yeah, I mean what for the fighting game scene.
- 10:13SPEAKER_04: Because it does seem like all of the good fighting game scenes are up there, and I've been playing on Fight K talking to people, where and when I was playing against people from the UK, did you go to VSF where you're from this, that, and the other, we get chatting?
- 10:24SPEAKER_04: They're all up north.
- 10:25SPEAKER_05: All the best players are up north.
- 10:27SPEAKER_05: To be fair, like there's a lot going on in London as well, and around London.
- 10:31SPEAKER_04: Yeah, but then you have to go to London, don't you?
- 10:33SPEAKER_04: Which is the worst place in the world.
- 10:35SPEAKER_04: I suppose, or Guildford.
- 10:36SPEAKER_04: You could go to Don't you dare talk about my special town like actually yeah.
- 10:41SPEAKER_04: No, Guildford is a really, really nice place, but uh the tournaments.
- 10:44SPEAKER_05: No, I mean, yeah, yeah, yes.
- 10:46SPEAKER_05: No, no, it's just like.
- 10:46SPEAKER_05: I was thinking of one specific tournament.
- 10:48SPEAKER_04: One, yeah, there is one, isn't it?
- 10:50SPEAKER_04: I can't remember the name.
- 10:52SPEAKER_04: Rubbish.
- 10:53SPEAKER_04: But anyway, listen, singo, thank you very much for the tournaments, they were excellent.
- 10:57SPEAKER_04: And uh also thanks for your mail.
- 10:59SPEAKER_04: Uh, next one comes in and uh from Zion Blade, and I just want to apologise for this.
- 11:03SPEAKER_04: This is a cunt that and I'm gonna I I say that meaning he was in a cunt, commented on our YouTube channel uh on the episode saying, oof, need to vote for Rupert Lowe and his Restore Britain.
- 11:14SPEAKER_04: Millions must go.
- 11:16SPEAKER_04: Now, when I read this, right, I was disappointed because I didn't want I think I was very clear that I feel like Birmingham as a place had been let down by the government, right?
- 11:25SPEAKER_06: Yeah, yeah.
- 11:25SPEAKER_04: Not by the people who were really, really nice all of the time, right?
- 11:30SPEAKER_04: And there's more love and respect at those tournaments than I've seen in any other tournament, right?
- 11:36SPEAKER_05: Yeah, yeah, definitely.
- 11:37SPEAKER_05: That's why we go, part in part of the reason why we go.
- 11:40SPEAKER_04: Part of the reason why we we are switching to third strike and staying again.
- 11:44SPEAKER_04: So I was a little bit disappointed when this message came in because if it came across at all, like I was I was talking about race, and I don't think I was, to be fair.
- 11:52SPEAKER_04: I don't think that came across at all, right?
- 11:54SPEAKER_05: When when I don't think we were, no.
- 11:56SPEAKER_05: No, I just someone's trying to jump on the chance to say that.
- 12:00SPEAKER_04: Well, I think that yes, I agree.
- 12:02SPEAKER_04: And I think that he he if when people like this, they'll see it everywhere, won't they?
- 12:06SPEAKER_04: Yeah.
- 12:06SPEAKER_04: They'll just that they could be, I don't know, uh it could start raining, and that they'll be outside and be like, oh, it's raining because of foreigners, that's what they do.
- 12:16SPEAKER_05: Um but it's that type of guy.
- 12:18SPEAKER_04: Yeah, that type of guy.
- 12:19SPEAKER_04: So but if anybody thought that that's what I was saying, then I hugely apologize because that was definitely not the case.
- 12:26SPEAKER_04: But I don't think I was.
- 12:27SPEAKER_04: I don't think I even mentioned the people once in my rant about Birmingham.
- 12:31SPEAKER_04: Aside from the that part when we went into that horrible part of town and it was all crackheads?
- 12:37SPEAKER_06: Yeah.
- 12:37SPEAKER_04: To in but in in but they're all British crackheads.
- 12:40SPEAKER_05: Yeah, they were.
- 12:41SPEAKER_04: They were.
- 12:42SPEAKER_04: So you know, I I think you're a little bit wrong there, Zion Blade.
- 12:45SPEAKER_04: And uh just what what we'll do, right?
- 12:47SPEAKER_04: We're not gonna say fuck off and don't listen, although that would be very, very easy.
- 12:51SPEAKER_04: But because but then we sound like him, don't we?
- 12:53SPEAKER_04: Yeah, and we sound we sound hateful.
- 12:55SPEAKER_04: So we're not gonna hate you, we're gonna we're gonna say keep listening, and let's let's do a little experiment.
- 12:59SPEAKER_04: Over the next month, right?
- 13:01SPEAKER_04: You Zion Blade, just uh tone down the racism, just tone down the spend the next month pretending you're not a racist and just accept people and like treat people with respect and and love, and then see if you have a nicer time, because that is it, right?
- 13:15SPEAKER_04: There's the alternative to being hateful, it's just having a nice time.
- 13:18SPEAKER_05: Yeah, I mean, just have fun, like I.
- 13:20SPEAKER_05: Can you imagine just only eating British food?
- 13:22SPEAKER_05: Um how much would that suck?
- 13:24SPEAKER_05: Uh well, I mean, wouldn't get very far to be honest.
- 13:27SPEAKER_04: No, you wouldn't.
- 13:28SPEAKER_04: Uh you can't have sausage egg and beans for every meal.
- 13:31SPEAKER_04: And look, there's a bit there's a big reason that our national dish is an Indian-inspired one, right?
- 13:35SPEAKER_04: Yeah, I mean because even even the people who who cr who chose the national dish, I mean, there's a lot more reason.
- 13:41SPEAKER_05: I do love a lot of sausage rolling there, though.
- 13:43SPEAKER_05: You you racist piece of shit.
- 13:46SPEAKER_05: Um love beef wellington, no.
- 13:47SPEAKER_04: You fucking I can't believe it, Sean.
- 13:50SPEAKER_05: Good dishes.
- 13:51SPEAKER_04: They're not good dishes, they suck.
- 13:52SPEAKER_04: And uh English food is rubbish.
- 13:54SPEAKER_04: So so I'm just saying to him, if he if he does shut up a minute.
- 13:58SPEAKER_04: It fucking is.
- 13:59SPEAKER_05: If he is no, because we know inventor potato.
- 14:04SPEAKER_04: Well, hey, that came from abroad anyway.
- 14:07SPEAKER_04: Everything that we like in this country is from abroad abroad, right?
- 14:10SPEAKER_05: So you know, toast, beans, we put those together.
- 14:13SPEAKER_04: That's true, man.
- 14:15SPEAKER_04: Before people were eating beans on the underneath with the toast on the top.
- 14:18SPEAKER_04: We switched it around.
- 14:19SPEAKER_05: Yeah, yeah.
- 14:20SPEAKER_04: Um, so yeah, dial down the hate a bit and just see if you have a nicer time.
- 14:23SPEAKER_04: Maybe that'll be good.
- 14:24SPEAKER_04: Keep listening to the podcast, and over the course of the next year, we're gonna cure you of the hate, and you're gonna become the most loving person, and you're gonna enjoy a Chinese meal.
- 14:33SPEAKER_05: Yeah, I mean a succulent one as well.
- 14:35SPEAKER_04: A succulent Chinese meal.
- 14:37SPEAKER_04: Come on, mate.
- 14:38SPEAKER_04: Stop it, stop being so racist, please.
- 14:40SPEAKER_04: Thank you.
- 14:40SPEAKER_04: Next one comes in from Senior Jaguar 6020, and this is about my Fatal Fury bot theory from last episode.
- 14:47SPEAKER_04: Oh, yeah, it's again.
- 14:48SPEAKER_04: It's a bit of a long one, and he's so wrong about so many things that I had to read this one out.
- 14:53SPEAKER_04: But he says, so first you say you thought people were lying that they can get matches regularly because the player count isn't high enough on Steam.
- 15:00SPEAKER_04: Cross-platform, by the way.
- 15:02SPEAKER_04: But the Steam numbers, yeah, this is me talking now, Mr.
- 15:05SPEAKER_04: Jaguar.
- 15:06SPEAKER_04: The Steam numbers are representative, usually, statistically, of a quarter of the players if you add consoles in as well.
- 15:13SPEAKER_04: Yeah.
- 15:13SPEAKER_04: So if they're 30 people on Steam, then about 60 people?
- 15:17SPEAKER_04: Yeah, yes, yes, four times 30, as we know, is 60.
- 15:20SPEAKER_04: Um, or 120, if you're doing the maths right.
- 15:23SPEAKER_05: 120, all right, fair.
- 15:24SPEAKER_04: So still very low, Jaguar.
- 15:26SPEAKER_04: So shut your mouth.
- 15:27SPEAKER_04: Um, but then he says, uh he follows up saying, but then you say, so I logged in and I tried it and I got games.
- 15:33SPEAKER_04: And right, in my defense, people previously were lying about getting games.
- 15:38SPEAKER_04: Am I wrong about that?
- 15:39SPEAKER_05: No, of course.
- 15:40SPEAKER_04: Because we were in the trenches trying to get fucking games.
- 15:42SPEAKER_05: There we were, yeah.
- 15:43SPEAKER_05: We looked a couple of an hour, you know.
- 15:45SPEAKER_04: That's being generous.
- 15:47SPEAKER_04: Yeah.
- 15:47SPEAKER_04: Um Sean and I even came up with a meme because the menu music went d.
- 15:54SPEAKER_04: And we said we used to say it's one of those d d type of days.
- 15:58SPEAKER_04: Because it would just you just listen to the menu music for hours.
- 16:01SPEAKER_04: There were no games, bruv.
- 16:02SPEAKER_04: I'm not I'm not talking out my arse.
- 16:04SPEAKER_04: If you if you want the game to be played by more people, I understand that, but you don't need to lie.
- 16:09SPEAKER_05: Yeah, I mean, I'd love to play the game, but no.
- 16:11SPEAKER_04: That's what we'd like to be playing.
- 16:13SPEAKER_05: Yeah.
- 16:13SPEAKER_04: It's the best one.
- 16:14SPEAKER_04: Um, he says, then you go on to state they must be bots because they play in a way that you think is bot-like, right?
- 16:20SPEAKER_04: Which is true, though.
- 16:21SPEAKER_04: It's true, right?
- 16:22SPEAKER_04: For facades.
- 16:23SPEAKER_04: Very likely you were low rank in the game because previously mentioned you don't even play it online.
- 16:28SPEAKER_04: I never said I never said that.
- 16:30SPEAKER_05: We were one of the highest ranked players in the game.
- 16:32SPEAKER_04: In Europe in Europe, at least.
- 16:34SPEAKER_05: In Europe, yeah.
- 16:35SPEAKER_04: We were to we were amongst the greatest players of that game in Europe.
- 16:39SPEAKER_05: And uh, we also attended uh a regional tournament of it where we played against uh who was it again?
- 16:47SPEAKER_05: Well uh H-dope.
- 16:49SPEAKER_04: H- Dope, ET, Leffen, Mox, Pizza, Pizza Time.
- 16:53SPEAKER_04: We played against so that's weird, isn't it?
- 16:55SPEAKER_04: Yeah, no, you're right.
- 16:56SPEAKER_04: I don't play online though.
- 16:58SPEAKER_04: Even though I never said that, you twat.
- 17:01SPEAKER_04: Um he could sorry, I'm too angry.
- 17:03SPEAKER_04: He says, of course, low-ranked players like gorillas.
- 17:06SPEAKER_04: It's the same you go on any other fighter at low rank.
- 17:09SPEAKER_04: Learn to type.
- 17:10SPEAKER_04: Um, if you want to go see what C O T W bots are like, go play the single player.
- 17:14SPEAKER_04: It's nothing like the players online.
- 17:17SPEAKER_04: And yes, you're quite right.
- 17:19SPEAKER_04: Now he says, I highly doubt anyone here who plays this game and enjoys it would like your baseless bot theory.
- 17:24SPEAKER_04: This game gets enough stupid hate from people who never played the game, it doesn't need more baseless accusations thrown at it for no reason.
- 17:30SPEAKER_05: But here's the thing though, like we played the game a lot, so I think we're I've got a ridiculous amount of hours in it, right?
- 17:37SPEAKER_04: Firstly, I only play online, I've never touched a single player, and uh I am probably, I'm just going out on a limb here, higher rank than you, mate.
- 17:46SPEAKER_04: So my point is that I can tell Bop behavior when I see it.
- 17:49SPEAKER_04: Now, I saw someone else on that post saying, no, the game is just very rushed down heavy.
- 17:54SPEAKER_04: That's why they're always doing something.
- 17:56SPEAKER_04: It fucking isn't.
- 17:57SPEAKER_05: No, especially.
- 17:58SPEAKER_04: Especially, right, at high ranks.
- 18:00SPEAKER_05: Yeah, it's like more defensive than most games, which was what makes it good.
- 18:05SPEAKER_04: Watch any high-rank match, watch any match between actual professionals, and you will see that they do the thing where they shuffle about.
- 18:11SPEAKER_04: Windows for combos actually are, although the matches are short, kind of rare in that game you get maybe one around, right?
- 18:19SPEAKER_05: Yeah, yeah.
- 18:20SPEAKER_04: At high level.
- 18:21SPEAKER_05: Like if you're if you make a mistake, maybe two or so.
- 18:24SPEAKER_04: This is why I knew that they were bots, is because I was playing with high-ranked players, right?
- 18:30SPEAKER_04: Top-ranked players, and they were playing in that very newbie, always having to do something mate, where I all I could do is just I just wait for them to do shit, because they're always pressing buttons, and then I would just counter it, and that's that.
- 18:42SPEAKER_04: So that's how I knew they were bots because top ranked players don't fucking play like that.
- 18:46SPEAKER_04: To you at low ranks, it probably seems like they will play the fucking same, but they don't.
- 18:49SPEAKER_04: But but that's because you're bronze, mate.
- 18:52SPEAKER_04: Get out of bronze, then come back and speak to me.
- 18:54SPEAKER_04: I don't know that that's true, but I just want to slag him off a bit.
- 18:56SPEAKER_05: Alright, yeah, I mean, it's worth you know doing.
- 18:59SPEAKER_04: Do you want to call him a cuck, Sean?
- 19:01SPEAKER_04: Cuck.
- 19:01SPEAKER_04: Thank you.
- 19:02SPEAKER_04: Uh let's go on to some news.
- 19:09SPEAKER_04: 2xKO stopping active development.
- 19:13SPEAKER_04: I called it.
- 19:13SPEAKER_04: I was right again.
- 19:15SPEAKER_04: That's why it's in here.
- 19:16SPEAKER_04: Um, but I um Do you remember when you were trying to convince me that 2XKO was a good game and we should keep at it?
- 19:22SPEAKER_05: I mean, like they uh you know, it could have been.
- 19:25SPEAKER_05: It could have been.
- 19:26SPEAKER_04: Uh yeah, it could have been if the characters were designed well.
- 19:29SPEAKER_05: Um, yeah, I mean, if they listened to people, what people were saying in the beginning, I think it could have been good, but um, you know, they they are uh refunding people.
- 19:39SPEAKER_04: Yes, uh to be fair, they they are uh okay, so I'll just gonna read the post that they put out on Twitter.
- 19:45SPEAKER_04: They said with a heavy heart, the Play2XKO team shares an update about the future.
- 19:50SPEAKER_04: Active development will it end in December, the final content patch goes live in October, servers stay online, in-game purchases made before August 20 will be refunded.
- 20:00SPEAKER_04: And notably uh you get to keep them.
- 20:03SPEAKER_04: Yeah, but unfortunately, it has gone past that time now because I should I should have just bought everything there was and then sold the account later on.
- 20:09SPEAKER_04: But um to be fair, what Riot are doing uh by keeping the game online and refunding people's purchases but letting them keep the stuff fair enough.
- 20:20SPEAKER_04: They're doing the right thing with a game that is dead.
- 20:22SPEAKER_05: Yeah, but it officially they killed it in seven months, so you know it lasted less long than multiverses.
- 20:29SPEAKER_05: I mean, that's that is a that is an achievement.
- 20:32SPEAKER_04: That's a new line.
- 20:33SPEAKER_04: So look, the and the I can't I I'm glad about it because I was right.
- 20:39SPEAKER_04: Um also it was a dog shit game.
- 20:42SPEAKER_05: It's just a shame that another fighting game's on the pile now, though.
- 20:46SPEAKER_04: Yeah, I mean the the landscape is getting more and more bleak for people that want to make a new fighting game, and even the avatar one is dying and it's good.
- 20:54SPEAKER_05: Yeah, exactly.
- 20:55SPEAKER_05: I mean it looks like the golden age is over again, huh?
- 20:57SPEAKER_04: Yeah, it's a shame.
- 20:58SPEAKER_04: And and and look, uh it's sad for the people that wanted to play this, but also like yeah, I just felt like look, the problem was is the monetization the monetization was dog shit, right?
- 21:10SPEAKER_04: Yeah, it was and there there was there were things that could be fixed about that game, like the fact that certain moves could just hit you when you're blocking, even if you're blocking the right height, the fact that certain characters could attack behind them, the fact that it was like the whole thing where the game was like made as a single player fighter, then expanded to a tag game, so all of the characters' move sets felt very, very bloated.
- 21:33SPEAKER_04: The fact that the controls were dog shit, like all of that stuff.
- 21:38SPEAKER_04: If they just state it changed uh the properties of every move in the game, and it can be done, like Guilty Gear did it.
- 21:44SPEAKER_04: Yeah, they did, yeah.
- 21:45SPEAKER_04: Like with a big uh uh well thought out patch, that game could have been fixed, yeah, and it could have been very, very good, especially um when they got more characters in it, and that was the problem as well, is that unfortunately they kind of had to release it because they were too far.
- 22:00SPEAKER_04: In development, and they would absolutely hemorrhaging money making that game, right?
- 22:04SPEAKER_05: Yeah, yeah.
- 22:04SPEAKER_05: But yeah, they didn't literally haven't made any money off this game.
- 22:08SPEAKER_04: So they had to launch it with eight characters, which for a tagfire is outrageous.
- 22:13SPEAKER_04: Look at um M MVC 3 or MVC 2.
- 22:16SPEAKER_04: How many fucking characters has that got?
- 22:17SPEAKER_04: Like I don't know, two million?
- 22:19SPEAKER_05: Yeah, exactly.
- 22:19SPEAKER_05: But ten million?
- 22:21SPEAKER_05: But it did get a bit stale with only eight characters.
- 22:24SPEAKER_04: Oh, especially the voice lines as well, man.
- 22:26SPEAKER_05: Yeah, yeah, the the voice lines.
- 22:27SPEAKER_05: Shoot them if you got them.
- 22:29SPEAKER_04: Those are burned into my fucking head, man.
- 22:31SPEAKER_04: It's like and I only played it for like a couple of weeks.
- 22:34SPEAKER_04: But yeah, uh dog.
- 22:35SPEAKER_06: Hit the bricks.
- 22:37SPEAKER_04: Hit the bricks.
- 22:38SPEAKER_04: Yeah, I mean, I I look, there's there were so many mistakes of the game, but it's a shame that another get a get a fighting game is is being put on the fire.
- 22:47SPEAKER_05: Yeah, definitely.
- 22:49SPEAKER_04: Um and speaking of shit news, Kingdom Hearts is getting an anime around the release of Kingdom Hearts 4, Disney is releasing its own anime.
- 22:57SPEAKER_04: And guess what?
- 22:57SPEAKER_04: Tetsu Yunamura is said he's cooking up something special.
- 23:01SPEAKER_05: Okay.
- 23:02SPEAKER_05: Now I will say this.
- 23:02SPEAKER_05: So it does count as an anime because the Japanese guy is working on it.
- 23:06SPEAKER_05: Yes, okay.
- 23:07SPEAKER_04: So it's a real anime.
- 23:08SPEAKER_04: Please speak up, Sean.
- 23:09SPEAKER_04: You're speaking like a mouse.
- 23:10SPEAKER_04: But I just want to say this to Tetsu Yunamura, right?
- 23:13SPEAKER_04: Please stop.
- 23:14SPEAKER_04: Please.
- 23:15SPEAKER_04: Please, Tetsuya.
- 23:16SPEAKER_04: My my guy, you had the source once, but you lost it.
- 23:21SPEAKER_04: You did one good you did good with the character designs on Final Fantasy VII.
- 23:25SPEAKER_05: And then he Kingdom Hearts 1 was good.
- 23:28SPEAKER_04: Kingdom Hearts 1 was very, very, very good.
- 23:30SPEAKER_04: Kingdom Hearts 2 was alright.
- 23:31SPEAKER_04: It's quite a good game.
- 23:33SPEAKER_04: But mate, just put the pen down.
- 23:35SPEAKER_04: Stop writing things.
- 23:36SPEAKER_04: Stop coming up with ideas.
- 23:37SPEAKER_04: You're done.
- 23:38unknown: Yeah.
- 23:39SPEAKER_05: You haven't had a good idea in 20 years.
- 23:40SPEAKER_05: Well, I don't really like the fact that um they had a trailer for Kingdom Hearts 4, and um it was just like them showing off like different worlds and stuff.
- 23:50SPEAKER_04: Oh, but but but right.
- 23:53SPEAKER_05: Like Coco Land and Yeah, well, this is the problem.
- 23:56SPEAKER_04: I saw that trailer, and it made me want to get Kingdom Hearts 4.
- 24:00SPEAKER_05: I don't know what's wrong with me, but I I thought the opposite, to be honest.
- 24:04SPEAKER_05: It's like they're trying to like cat they're trying to like, oh, look at this world that we've got.
- 24:08SPEAKER_04: Well, that's the point of Kingdom Hearts.
- 24:09SPEAKER_04: The point of it was hop into different worlds trying to search for your friends.
- 24:12SPEAKER_04: Yeah, but it was like And then over the years it's become bloated with one of the worst most nonsensical plots ever.
- 24:17SPEAKER_05: But that wasn't like the main draw of like of the game, like originally, was it?
- 24:21SPEAKER_04: I mean well, what was that?
- 24:23SPEAKER_05: I don't know, it was nice surprise like going through it all, you know.
- 24:26SPEAKER_04: Yeah, yeah, that was brilliant, wasn't it?
- 24:27SPEAKER_04: I mean, you I could some could say the sort of um spacefaring adventure game about going to different worlds was about the worlds, yeah.
- 24:35SPEAKER_04: But I I I don't know.
- 24:36SPEAKER_04: I'm not a genius like Tatsuino and Mora is.
- 24:38SPEAKER_04: I can't even say his fucking name.
- 24:40SPEAKER_05: Well, I mean he did do Final Fantasy VII, so Well and he did the character designs for that one.
- 24:45SPEAKER_04: I mean notably he's absent from anything to do with the plot, which is why Final Fantasy VII has a good plot.
- 24:50SPEAKER_05: Does that make him a genius though?
- 24:52SPEAKER_04: Because I don't think it does, really.
- 24:54SPEAKER_04: No, I don't.
- 24:55SPEAKER_04: But just Kingdom Hearts look, point is is I saw that Kingdom Hearts 4 trailer, and it it reminded me of the the the magic that Kingdom Hearts once had.
- 25:04SPEAKER_04: You know what I mean?
- 25:06SPEAKER_04: Do you know what I mean?
- 25:07SPEAKER_04: Yeah, yeah.
- 25:08SPEAKER_04: And I was like, I saw the Coco World, one of my favourite films, and I was just like, yeah.
- 25:13SPEAKER_04: Yeah, but but I want to run around in it, man.
- 25:16SPEAKER_05: I don't I don't know, like, because it's a good it's just Mexico.
- 25:19SPEAKER_04: What are you talking about?
- 25:20SPEAKER_04: Ah, racist again.
- 25:22SPEAKER_04: Yeah, but it's what is wrong with you?
- 25:24SPEAKER_04: But there's Why would you want to go to Mexico?
- 25:26SPEAKER_04: And it's not fucking Mexico, Sean, it's the land of the dead.
- 25:28SPEAKER_04: There are non-Mexicans there.
- 25:29SPEAKER_05: No, there is the land of the dead there, spoiler alert.
- 25:32SPEAKER_05: But you they also live in Mexico as well.
- 25:34SPEAKER_05: Yes, they do, but we but Oh yeah, like you can just go to Mexico though.
- 25:38SPEAKER_05: Oh, that's a bit more expensive than getting Kingdom Hearts 4, but Yes, and in Kingdom Hearts, right?
- 25:43SPEAKER_04: You got it all wrong.
- 25:44SPEAKER_04: They don't go to Mexico in Kingdom Hearts 4, they go to the land of the dead, they interact with Miguel and the other geezer.
- 25:50SPEAKER_05: Good character.
- 25:51SPEAKER_04: Torito.
- 25:51SPEAKER_05: Yeah, yeah.
- 25:52SPEAKER_04: But look, it looks cool.
- 25:54SPEAKER_04: I want to go there.
- 25:55SPEAKER_04: The whole point of Kingdom Hearts was going to those worlds.
- 25:57SPEAKER_04: The difference is though, is that one had a very good story about finding your friends.
- 26:02SPEAKER_04: Then they complicated it.
- 26:03SPEAKER_04: But all it all I want is a and also one crucially had the best gameplay out of that entire series.
- 26:08SPEAKER_04: Yeah, it did.
- 26:09SPEAKER_04: But then after that, it was like dog shit game.
- 26:11SPEAKER_04: Yeah, you do get to go to Toy Story World, but it's got the backing track to You've Got a Friend and Me playing over and over for four hours.
- 26:21SPEAKER_05: Yeah, that was in Kingdom Hearts 3, that was not that long ago, really.
- 26:25SPEAKER_04: So I look, I just thought the trailer looked amazing, and I thought that that world looked amazing, but I think if it is gonna be paired with gameplay that is as dog shit as Kingdom Hearts 3 was, and also like that you're gonna hear the backing track to Remember Me for four hours, probably gonna be bad.
- 26:42SPEAKER_04: But they did also drop some gameplay and it looked quite good.
- 26:45SPEAKER_05: Yeah, it did.
- 26:46SPEAKER_05: It did.
- 26:46SPEAKER_04: It did.
- 26:47SPEAKER_04: But then maybe, and I might be wrong about this, but maybe if you look at a gameplay of Kingdom Hearts 3, it might look good, but to play it was bad.
- 26:54SPEAKER_04: I don't know.
- 26:56SPEAKER_05: Do I get Kingdom Hearts 4?
- 26:57SPEAKER_05: They got some well-paid experts to uh make things look good.
- 27:02SPEAKER_05: Do it do I get it?
- 27:03SPEAKER_05: Um well I don't know, like we'll let the audience decide if you get if you like drop drop 70 quid on it.
- 27:09SPEAKER_04: I'll put a vote, I'm not gonna drop 70 quid in it, I'll probably pi uh uh rent it.
- 27:15SPEAKER_04: Um anyway, look, I will I will I'll put a vote out on the Discord.
- 27:18SPEAKER_04: Should I play Kingdom Hearts 4?
- 27:20SPEAKER_04: And uh and if I do play it, I will play it to completion, even if it's shit.
- 27:23SPEAKER_04: Actually, but they've got the Coco World.
- 27:25SPEAKER_04: What other ones are there that I haven't been to?
- 27:27SPEAKER_05: Uh Lightyear Land.
- 27:29SPEAKER_04: Oh fuck that.
- 27:30SPEAKER_04: Yeah, that was dog shit.
- 27:31SPEAKER_04: Encanto.
- 27:32SPEAKER_05: Oh yeah, dog shit film, live action Moana.
- 27:36SPEAKER_05: I don't know, really.
- 27:37SPEAKER_04: I like that, that'd be great.
- 27:38SPEAKER_04: Just a photo realistic Sora turns up, speaking to the rock.
- 27:41SPEAKER_04: Yeah, let's go.
- 27:43SPEAKER_04: Uh Black Aerial.
- 27:45SPEAKER_05: Oh yeah, that too, yeah, yeah.
- 27:47SPEAKER_04: Um, right, so uh next news story.
- 27:51SPEAKER_04: Marvel Token performance is bad on PC only.
- 27:56SPEAKER_04: So, Marvel uh token fighting souls is here, and to be honest, I've actually I've turned a corner.
- 28:01SPEAKER_04: I saw Maximilian's video, and as everyone knows, I don't have my own opinions.
- 28:05SPEAKER_04: I just take those off of YouTube as I like.
- 28:07SPEAKER_04: No, look it no, but his analysis of the game made the game seem very good.
- 28:10SPEAKER_05: No, I mean it does it does look really good.
- 28:13SPEAKER_05: It looks like a really well-polished game.
- 28:15SPEAKER_05: Um it's just do you know what it was?
- 28:17SPEAKER_04: It's just seeing the Marvel characters.
- 28:19SPEAKER_04: Yeah.
- 28:19SPEAKER_04: Seeing the Marvel characters fighting each other again.
- 28:22SPEAKER_04: Yeah, I mean in a cool anime fighter.
- 28:24SPEAKER_04: Oh, anyway, but PC matchmaker no, PC players have reported online matchmaking being buggy, CPU strain, stuttering lag the lot.
- 28:33SPEAKER_04: And Arxis said they're working on a patch, but the game is sitting at a mixed on Steam.
- 28:38SPEAKER_05: Uh they they since have fixed this though.
- 28:41SPEAKER_04: Maximilian dude even came out and said it's a rare case where he's had to play the game on PS5 as a result.
- 28:47SPEAKER_04: But that's not the story really.
- 28:48SPEAKER_04: Uh video games being released and can being completely shit at launch is par for the course these days.
- 28:52SPEAKER_04: But what is interesting is the workarounds fans have had have found to the problems.
- 28:57SPEAKER_04: Firstly, if you use the game's automatically adjust my graphics to suit my hardware option, it runs really well.
- 29:04SPEAKER_04: Even if the game selects the exact same settings you already chose, which makes no sense, even if those settings are higher than the lowest possible graphics settings, it runs better.
- 29:15SPEAKER_04: Don't know why.
- 29:16SPEAKER_04: And if that doesn't work, which it didn't for many people, the reason the game stutters is because even if you set it to 60fps or whatever in the menu, it will occasionally just try to sort of give it a higher frame rate, like give a higher frame rate a go.
- 29:28SPEAKER_04: Like it's going, I know you want 60fps, but let's give it a go.
- 29:32SPEAKER_04: Mid-max.
- 29:33SPEAKER_05: Okay.
- 29:33SPEAKER_04: Um is that not so in certain cases you could be mid-combo and it will attempt to run the game at 2,000 frames per second for a second, causing your PC to choke.
- 29:44SPEAKER_04: So you have to limit it manually from within your graphics cards app, like the Nvidia app.
- 29:49SPEAKER_04: The last solution, if none of that works, is to open the epic launcher, even if you're playing on Steam.
- 29:55SPEAKER_04: So you just open that as well, right?
- 29:58SPEAKER_04: Yeah, and uh it often fixes the game.
- 30:00SPEAKER_04: And this is possibly because Tokon runs on Unreal Engine, but that is a fucking mental workaround.
- 30:05SPEAKER_04: And finally, if none of these work, the final solution is to refund the game and buy a PS5 and play it on there.
- 30:11SPEAKER_05: Well, I'd rather not do that, to be honest.
- 30:13SPEAKER_05: Yeah, well, you're gonna have to.
- 30:15SPEAKER_04: Um but you so you reckon it's being fixed, is it?
- 30:18SPEAKER_05: Uh yeah, yeah.
- 30:19SPEAKER_05: I mean, I'm just looking at the Tocon numbers now as well.
- 30:22SPEAKER_04: Don't look at the numbers.
- 30:23SPEAKER_04: I just want to play it.
- 30:24SPEAKER_04: No, I don't.
- 30:25SPEAKER_04: Look, uh, this is the sad case case of fighting games.
- 30:28SPEAKER_04: It's like every single one a week later.
- 30:30SPEAKER_04: Go on then, what are we saying?
- 30:32SPEAKER_05: Uh it's not it's not loaded anything.
- 30:33SPEAKER_04: Of course it isn't.
- 30:34SPEAKER_04: Right, but you said that the pe you said that people have fixed it.
- 30:39SPEAKER_04: That's wait, ARC system works have fixed it.
- 30:41SPEAKER_05: The ARC system works have uh have fixed uh have come up with a patch on that one, to be fair.
- 30:47SPEAKER_04: Yeah.
- 30:47SPEAKER_05: Um what do you know about it?
- 30:49SPEAKER_04: Tell me, tell me everything.
- 30:50SPEAKER_05: The runs no runs well no, doesn't it?
- 30:53SPEAKER_04: I mean No, it doesn't.
- 30:54SPEAKER_04: He's he Sean is distracted by him looking at the Steam numbers, so he couldn't even finish a fucking sentence.
- 31:00SPEAKER_05: Say the thing 2189 players right now.
- 31:03SPEAKER_04: So roughly worldwide we're looking at 8k.
- 31:06SPEAKER_04: Yeah.
- 31:06SPEAKER_04: That's alright, that's the same as Guilty Gear.
- 31:08SPEAKER_05: Yeah, it's not bad.
- 31:09SPEAKER_04: But the thing is Guilty Gear has maintained a steady audience, whereas this is new, so that will likely dip further.
- 31:14SPEAKER_05: Yeah, I mean I might just go back to Guilty Gear if I'm honest, but I mean other We'll talk about that later.
- 31:20SPEAKER_04: Um, low tier god represents himself in court and wins, then claims it was AI.
- 31:26SPEAKER_04: Um so low tier god, he's a fighting game player, famous for well, playing low-tier characters in Street Fighter and showcasing their strengths.
- 31:35SPEAKER_04: Really cool idea for a channel.
- 31:36SPEAKER_04: Yeah, that's what he's famous for.
- 31:37SPEAKER_05: To show me he's taken that.
- 31:38SPEAKER_04: Uh yeah, I mean it's a shame he's taken that idea, but that's what he's famous for.
- 31:42SPEAKER_04: End of story.
- 31:43SPEAKER_04: Oh wait, actually, he's he's famous.
- 31:45SPEAKER_04: Well, what he became famous for, but now he's he's that's what he became famous for, but now he's famous for being the most racist African American hating African American man in the world.
- 31:54SPEAKER_04: Pissing in a jug, shitting in a bath, laughing at a man dying on stream, losing to Viscant in SF4 and getting destroyed with words shortly after.
- 32:03SPEAKER_05: Not saying his daughter and that.
- 32:05SPEAKER_04: Well, of course, that's the final one, refusing to acknowledge the daughter he had with a woman he slept with when she was underage.
- 32:13SPEAKER_04: Fucking religion of that!
- 32:15SPEAKER_07: Mental retarding.
- 32:16SPEAKER_04: Now, importantly, Low Tier God claims he has no daughter, and that the internet, quote, be saying all types of shit, man.
- 32:24SPEAKER_04: Now, it is true that the internet be saying all types of shit.
- 32:28SPEAKER_04: For example, people have called me an idiot, a hope a hopeless wuss, and quote, a fat puff.
- 32:34SPEAKER_04: But we know none of that is true.
- 32:36SPEAKER_04: Anyway, Low Tier God dungoofed, and on one of his streams he accidentally showed a list of child maintenance payments he had to pay to his child's mother, which is a deeply unusual thing to do if you don't have a daughter.
- 32:48SPEAKER_04: People quickly figured out that he was gathering evidence for a court case where Low Tier God alleged that the baby mama in question had caused him irreparable harm via YouTube videos calling him out for being a deadbeat parent.
- 32:59SPEAKER_04: But the thing about Low Tier God is he's a fucking moron and like genuinely barely able to string a sentence together.
- 33:06SPEAKER_05: Yeah, he thinks he's the smartest person on earth.
- 33:08SPEAKER_04: He calls himself a scholar because he's got a degree in you know physical PE, right?
- 33:14SPEAKER_04: Which is, you know, that's the degree that they give to anyone.
- 33:17SPEAKER_04: That and games design.
- 33:19SPEAKER_04: Um anyway, uh he represented himself in court, right?
- 33:25SPEAKER_04: So him being quite as thick as he did he is, that was a bad idea.
- 33:28SPEAKER_04: Because it's it's the sort of move that only someone so stupid as Low Tier God would be capable of pulling off.
- 33:35SPEAKER_04: Only he would think that representing himself is a good idea because he's thick.
- 33:39SPEAKER_05: Yeah.
- 33:40SPEAKER_04: Um now the court case and all the records of it are public publicly available and it was videoed, so the whole thing is obviously uh available on YouTube and it's been combed through for clips.
- 33:49SPEAKER_04: Now I watched an edited down version of it thanks to the YouTuber Red Dale, and some highlights include thus Loti God falls asleep at several points and manages to get away with it without anyone noticing.
- 34:01SPEAKER_04: He prints out Discord messages that are important to his case, but he prints them really tiny by accident, so the judge can't read them.
- 34:09SPEAKER_04: The judge reads out a message from the daughter's mum on an LGD uh on a Loti God hate server on Discord, and it says, I can confirm I saw Dale at the poor people's gym on Thursday, and I can confirm that he has slim gym legs.
- 34:23SPEAKER_04: The judge actually read that out.
- 34:25SPEAKER_04: Um another highlight is that his ex, the mother to his daughter, has to talk about his YouTube content.
- 34:31SPEAKER_04: And she says, So someone made a comment about his shirt and he went on a rant for 30 to 45 minutes, where he kept repeating the phrase pull up and catch the fade.
- 34:40SPEAKER_04: Um and I do have a clip of that, Sean, so I'm just gonna play that now for you.
- 34:44SPEAKER_00: He games, he does gaming, and then he reacts.
- 34:47SPEAKER_00: So somebody made a comment about his shirt, and then he went on a rant for like 30, 45 minutes about catching, he kept talking about pull up and catch the fade.
- 34:57SPEAKER_08: Like, would a cycle ever stop?
- 34:59SPEAKER_08: Would a cycle ever stop?
- 35:00SPEAKER_08: Stop at my level! You don't know a mother thing about me.
- 35:02SPEAKER_08: You don't know no act.
- 35:03SPEAKER_08: Oh, it's somebody black.
- 35:04SPEAKER_08: Only a black real world African American Hispanic guy.
- 35:08SPEAKER_08: Get off my co catch this thing! Not upset at me for wearing a f ⁇ ing balanciaga tea that I've worn a million times on stream.
- 35:14SPEAKER_04: There we have a clip of a man having a meltdown about a t-shirt.
- 35:18SPEAKER_05: Uh yeah, and that's the sort of content you can tune into.
- 35:22SPEAKER_04: So, yeah, our recommendation of the month.
- 35:26SPEAKER_05: Well, I wouldn't recommend him because he's a paedophile, but yeah, but isn't he the greatest one of all?
- 35:33SPEAKER_04: And he's he's an out and proud racist.
- 35:37SPEAKER_04: I mean, look, every time somebody somebody uh says something about him on stream, he's always like, it's gotta be a black guy.
- 35:44SPEAKER_04: He's so racist though.
- 35:46SPEAKER_04: Um yeah, I mean imagine having a meltdown out of it uh over a t-shirt.
- 35:49SPEAKER_04: But yeah, I'd watch the I'd watch the entire court case because it is pretty funny.
- 35:53SPEAKER_04: Um the most interesting thing though is that yes, Dale is an idiot, and yes, he's the worst possible candidate to represent anyone in court, let alone himself, but his ex is even stupider and spent a bunch of time harassing him online and inciting people to go to his studio apartment and posting his personal information, all of which was easily traceable back to her.
- 36:12SPEAKER_04: And the judge put a restraining order on her.
- 36:15SPEAKER_04: Now, interestingly, he does refer to his ex as the mother of my child, so there's no way he can still deny that he has a daughter, right?
- 36:22SPEAKER_04: Yeah, he's basically a medicine at uh Yeah, because he said the mother of my daughter is saying this on my Discord server, right?
- 36:28SPEAKER_04: So he can't deny it anymore.
- 36:30SPEAKER_04: Well, uh he denied it.
- 36:32SPEAKER_04: Um on his latest stream, he watched the court case, and basically he was like, Well, I mean, that is pretty cool that I represented myself and I won.
- 36:42SPEAKER_04: But that's but that never happened.
- 36:44SPEAKER_04: That's all AI.
- 36:44SPEAKER_04: I mean, this AI is getting good nowadays, but if I did do that, that would be cool of me to have won.
- 36:50SPEAKER_04: That's what he said on his stream.
- 36:52SPEAKER_04: So yeah, go and watch it.
- 36:53SPEAKER_04: Very, very entertaining.
- 36:54SPEAKER_04: Um uh Sean, you got any comments?
- 36:57SPEAKER_05: Uh, what about Loter God?
- 36:58SPEAKER_04: And the court case?
- 37:00SPEAKER_05: Are you proud of him?
- 37:00SPEAKER_05: You proud of him?
- 37:02SPEAKER_05: Um, no, not really.
- 37:03SPEAKER_05: I mean, if he um you know, if he were to sort of, I don't know, eat metal for breakfast, that'd be pretty good, I think.
- 37:12SPEAKER_04: Alright, well, Low to God, there's a suggestion for your next stream.
- 37:14SPEAKER_04: You could eat some metal from breakfast.
- 37:16SPEAKER_04: Maybe have a meltdown about that instead of the t-shirt.
- 37:18SPEAKER_04: Um, but yes, he does shit in a bath.
- 37:21SPEAKER_05: Shits in the bath.
- 37:23SPEAKER_04: He shits in the bath, yeah.
- 37:24SPEAKER_04: One of his ex-girlfriends was on his stream once, who was black, right?
- 37:28SPEAKER_04: Which is a bit odd if you're a massive racist.
- 37:30SPEAKER_04: I don't get it.
- 37:31SPEAKER_04: It's no consistency.
- 37:32SPEAKER_04: Either he's very racist or he isn't.
- 37:33SPEAKER_05: Yeah, you've got to be committed to the racism.
- 37:35SPEAKER_04: Come on, mate.
- 37:36SPEAKER_04: That's why you haven't made it big time.
- 37:37SPEAKER_04: Anyway, look, he um yeah, he was saying that he well, he didn't say, his ex came on and he was just like, Do you know how unhygienic shitting in a toilet is?
- 37:46SPEAKER_04: And then his ex comes in and goes, Yeah, he shits in the bath.
- 37:49SPEAKER_04: He shits in the bath.
- 37:50SPEAKER_04: So, cool guy.
- 37:52SPEAKER_01: Man, I'm gonna I'm gonna break my monitor, I swear.
- 37:56SPEAKER_04: Uh, new fighting game tournament happening at Guildford, but it's an old one.
- 38:00SPEAKER_04: Right, and we just want to warn people, anyone from Guildford that says in, and I I know some people do, right?
- 38:05SPEAKER_05: Well, I don't really get this because it's the same tournament.
- 38:08SPEAKER_05: He's just renamed the tournament and said it's gonna be bigger, but they're doing the same game.
- 38:12SPEAKER_05: He's giving it a new name, though.
- 38:14SPEAKER_04: So um uh well I don't know what to call him.
- 38:17SPEAKER_04: Uh Daylight Thief Mowgli, who organises Battle by the Way, is organizing a new tournament called Defence Square.
- 38:25SPEAKER_04: Um, and here's what he says about it he says it's like Battle by the Way, but bigger.
- 38:29SPEAKER_04: It's not well actually, notably, in the announcement, he has written the name of the new tournament in Capitals, so maybe that's what he means.
- 38:36SPEAKER_04: It's bigger, it's a bigger name.
- 38:37SPEAKER_05: Yeah, I mean surely it's the same size tournament because the next bit will sort of give that away.
- 38:43SPEAKER_04: This is gonna fucking surprise you, but it says the zero th edition of this event will take place on the 5th and 6th of December 2026 at our usual spot.
- 38:50SPEAKER_04: So it's not bigger, it's the same spot.
- 38:51SPEAKER_05: Oh, the fifth and sixth.
- 38:53SPEAKER_04: Oh, right, so it's two days now.
- 38:55SPEAKER_05: Yeah.
- 38:55SPEAKER_04: To be fair, that's uh that is a good idea, because trying to cram in four games in an entire day.
- 39:00SPEAKER_04: Well, it wasn't working, was it?
- 39:02SPEAKER_04: Not at all, not even in the slightest.
- 39:04SPEAKER_04: Now he says we'll be running all our usual games Grand Blue Fantasy versus Nublet game, Guilty Gear Noob, uh, Melty Blood Actress again, current code, or fair enough.
- 39:12SPEAKER_04: Tekken H, Street Fighter 6, Avatar Legends, Marvel Token, Fighting Souls.
- 39:16SPEAKER_05: What?
- 39:17SPEAKER_04: Blah blah blah.
- 39:18SPEAKER_04: Each bracket will have a 64 player hap.
- 39:20SPEAKER_04: Bracket entry fee will go into a prize pot for corresponding game, to which£100 will be added on top, split monsters on top.
- 39:26SPEAKER_04: Okay, maybe listen to you.
- 39:27SPEAKER_04: Well, maybe you did.
- 39:28SPEAKER_04: But here's what you should have been doing.
- 39:30SPEAKER_04: You should have been doing that all along, Maugli.
- 39:32SPEAKER_04: Yeah, um, because what were you doing with him?
- 39:33SPEAKER_04: What was he doing with the money before?
- 39:34SPEAKER_05: Uh well not much.
- 39:35SPEAKER_05: What was he doing with that?
- 39:36SPEAKER_05: There wasn't any new equipment in the time that we I get that he's got a lot of equipment, but he had that anyway.
- 39:42SPEAKER_05: Well, like I mean, he's got a lot of equipment, but it wasn't enough to No, but he wasn't buying new equipment.
- 39:46SPEAKER_05: Where was the money going?
- 39:47SPEAKER_04: Actually, his car, what it has a uh 2025 Reg plate on that money.
- 39:51SPEAKER_05: It's a brand new car, like brand new.
- 39:53SPEAKER_05: We can afford to buy a brand new car nowadays.
- 39:55SPEAKER_04: Maybe it was going towards that and uh maybe we're straying into getting into personal information, but let's just say that money was not going back into the toilet.
- 40:02SPEAKER_05: Maybe it goes.
- 40:06SPEAKER_04: Right now you're just now you adjust to being personal.
- 40:09SPEAKER_04: That is getting cut out.
- 40:10SPEAKER_01: Gave me the power.
- 40:20SPEAKER_05: But yeah, it wasn't going, it wasn't really going on the tournament.
- 40:23SPEAKER_04: It wasn't it can't have been going back into the tournament, no.
- 40:25SPEAKER_04: Um, which to be fair, what actually, do you remember when I ran a convention?
- 40:29SPEAKER_04: What did I do with the money?
- 40:31SPEAKER_05: Um, it all went back into the tournament.
- 40:34SPEAKER_05: Yeah, yeah.
- 40:35SPEAKER_05: It went back into the con.
- 40:37SPEAKER_04: It was not even a question in my mind as to whether or not I'd keep the fucking money.
- 40:40SPEAKER_05: No, you well, you had prizes and that.
- 40:42SPEAKER_04: Yeah, yeah, I did.
- 40:42SPEAKER_04: Yeah, I bought lots of cool prizes for uh for a raffle to people for people to win.
- 40:46SPEAKER_04: I spent it on a uh coffee machine that people could use all day for free unlimited coffee all day, didn't I?
- 40:52SPEAKER_05: No, it was good.
- 40:52SPEAKER_04: I mean it was good, but it was in the middle of summer and that room that machine made the room very hot, so in a way I did the wrong thing.
- 40:58SPEAKER_04: But my point is is that the the that money, uh all the excess that go that comes after like the renting of the venue, right?
- 41:06SPEAKER_04: You you give that to the people.
- 41:08unknown: Yeah.
- 41:08SPEAKER_04: Maybe I don't know.
- 41:09SPEAKER_04: Look, the point is, yeah, he's finally paying people for it, but is he?
- 41:14SPEAKER_04: Is he actually giving that money back to people?
- 41:15SPEAKER_04: Because no, no, we know that the tournaments to his mates, the tournaments are organised so that his mates always win.
- 41:22SPEAKER_04: Because he never puts them against each other in early seeds.
- 41:24SPEAKER_04: It should be random seeds because it's just a small local tournament, but it isn't random seeds.
- 41:29SPEAKER_04: So what he is doing is he is engineered a way to give the money to his mates.
- 41:34SPEAKER_04: That's a fact.
- 41:35SPEAKER_04: The fact is, if you want to do well in those tournaments, you actually have to get better than the best players in there to even get out of pools.
- 41:44SPEAKER_04: That's a fact, right?
- 41:45SPEAKER_04: Yeah, it's because it's organized that way, right?
- 41:47SPEAKER_04: Yeah, tournaments shouldn't be like that, you should have a chance if you're a good player.
- 41:52SPEAKER_05: Yeah, I mean, like we're good players.
- 41:54SPEAKER_05: I I felt bad, and maybe I doubted myself over the time that I'd sort of like spend time there.
- 42:00SPEAKER_04: But yeah, same.
- 42:02SPEAKER_04: Everyone that you bought there and had the exact same experience, right?
- 42:07SPEAKER_04: He sees a player with a new name, he puts them against one of the best players.
- 42:10SPEAKER_04: And I just think look, it's it's yes, you should win based on your merit, but you should also be able to face players of your skill level in pools, right?
- 42:19SPEAKER_04: And that's when he used to do Swiss format, that's how it would have worked, and that's fine by me.
- 42:24SPEAKER_04: Swiss format is a more than acceptable way of doing things because you get more games and you're able to play more people.
- 42:30SPEAKER_04: But he's engineered a knockout tournament where his mates can now win money, right?
- 42:34SPEAKER_05: It used to be Swiss, it was a lot better to be honest.
- 42:36SPEAKER_04: Yeah, I know.
- 42:37SPEAKER_04: And when you used to go, you went multiple times and you loved it when it was Swiss.
- 42:40SPEAKER_04: Yeah, I mean, unfortunately, East V does go back to that.
- 42:43SPEAKER_04: We've sort of burnt the bridge a little bit, but to be fair, I wouldn't do something so scummy as or engineer a tournament just to give my mates loads of cash that loads of people have turned up to pay, and you're supposed to be offering them a service, but what you're offering them is you're taking their money and giving it to your mates, right?
- 42:57SPEAKER_04: Yeah.
- 42:58SPEAKER_04: So fuck.
- 42:59SPEAKER_04: Uh well I won't so I won't go that far, but uh don't don't go to battle by the way, or Defence Square as it's now called, which is a much shitter name, but it is in caps.
- 43:07SPEAKER_05: Yeah, I mean, you know, so it's bigger in that sense.
- 43:09SPEAKER_04: It's bigger in that sense.
- 43:11SPEAKER_04: Um, and also like to be fair, yeah, I will say this about the tournament.
- 43:16SPEAKER_05: One of the great things about it is that you can order a hunter's chicken, a lovely hunter's chicken.
- 43:21SPEAKER_04: That's just the pub that it's running, though.
- 43:22SPEAKER_04: That's a good pub.
- 43:23SPEAKER_04: It's a good pub.
- 43:24SPEAKER_04: It's a nice pub.
- 43:25SPEAKER_04: Cracking dartboard.
- 43:26SPEAKER_04: Um, if you like, do you do you like waiting three hours for your game?
- 43:31SPEAKER_04: No, I mean that's what I love it, so I'm going back.
- 43:34SPEAKER_04: Because that's my favourite thing to fucking do.
- 43:36SPEAKER_05: Yeah, no, I sort of realised that that's what we were doing, and um, you sort of brought your mates and they were sort of waiting.
- 43:42SPEAKER_04: It's so it was so sad, man.
- 43:43SPEAKER_04: It was like embarrassing for me when I bought my friends there and all they had did was wait around, right?
- 43:48SPEAKER_04: Because we you like the one time where we had a good indication of as to how long it was going to be for our next game, what did we do?
- 43:54SPEAKER_04: We went into the pub, we played darts.
- 43:56SPEAKER_04: That was the best thing about the day.
- 43:58SPEAKER_04: It was like not to be in that room.
- 44:00SPEAKER_04: Playing darts with my mates Callum and Josh, Big Shao, the and Tar uh Carti.
- 44:04SPEAKER_04: That that was the most fun part about the day, right?
- 44:07SPEAKER_04: And it was only because we for once got a clear indication as to how long it was going to take.
- 44:11SPEAKER_04: Whereas you got up to him, you say, When's my game?
- 44:13SPEAKER_04: It goes ten minutes.
- 44:14SPEAKER_04: And you go, All right, fair enough.
- 44:16SPEAKER_04: Three fucking hours.
- 44:17SPEAKER_04: What are you organising?
- 44:18SPEAKER_04: You couldn't organise a fucking cat.
- 44:20SPEAKER_05: Yeah, I mean, I mean, it was like that though.
- 44:24SPEAKER_05: It was literally like that.
- 44:25SPEAKER_05: We were not even exaggerating.
- 44:26SPEAKER_05: That's what he'd say ten minutes, and then I I'd be standing there two hours.
- 44:31SPEAKER_05: My feet were actually hurting.
- 44:32SPEAKER_04: Look, and I'm bored to tears.
- 44:35SPEAKER_04: Bored to tears.
- 44:36SPEAKER_04: And I uh and every time we went home deflated, didn't we?
- 44:38SPEAKER_05: Yeah, we did.
- 44:39SPEAKER_04: And I I just it's not like me just unnecessarily going for somebody.
- 44:43SPEAKER_04: If you think I'm being cruel, every look like genuinely, genuinely, if you go to that tournament, I guarantee you, if you have a good time, it's because you're you're hanging out with your mates, and that's why you're there.
- 44:54SPEAKER_04: But the but the reality is uh anyone, anyone who goes to that tournament, just get in contact and tell me I'm wrong about anything I fucking said, because I know I'm not.
- 45:05SPEAKER_05: I will yeah, I mean, I would love to go to a regular local tourney and have fun.
- 45:10SPEAKER_04: This is why we need to move to Birmingham because because the people there are good players, and do you know what as well is that they'll show you ten times more fucking respect.
- 45:19SPEAKER_04: This is what I miss about the old FGC, right?
- 45:22SPEAKER_04: There were players who play the games to play the games, right?
- 45:25SPEAKER_04: Do you know what I mean?
- 45:26SPEAKER_04: Like the when I finished my match against that other blanker player, Super Arrow, right?
- 45:31SPEAKER_04: Such a nice guy.
- 45:32SPEAKER_04: And then like we got up and just because we played the same character, he gave me a hug, and I was like, that's the type of stuff I miss.
- 45:38SPEAKER_04: He he clearly outclassed me and was a better player, but the respect, you know what I mean?
- 45:42SPEAKER_04: I mean I you play anybody anyway.
- 45:44SPEAKER_05: I was around I was around during those days, and uh yeah, it was It was better, yeah.
- 45:50SPEAKER_04: And and like I missed that, and and like that was one of the things about Guilty Gear, and to be fair, the people we spoke to during uh VS Fighting at Guilty Gear were really nice, but it's just I miss the fact that the the whole thing of like everyone getting together because they enjoy the game and just enjoying each other's company because you like it, not just trying to wreck everyone and that being the only thing it's about, right?
- 46:11SPEAKER_04: It was just about having fun matches, whether you won or lost.
- 46:14SPEAKER_04: You know what I mean?
- 46:15SPEAKER_04: Yeah, it was and playing in a tournament and trying to win, but showing each other respect.
- 46:18SPEAKER_04: And that's one of the things also missing from there, because they only it's only these modern fighting games, and mostly trash ones, with the exception of Strive, right?
- 46:27SPEAKER_06: Yeah, yeah.
- 46:28SPEAKER_04: I mean Melody Blood might be good.
- 46:30SPEAKER_04: Yeah, but it's got 90 characters in it, so no thanks.
- 46:34SPEAKER_04: Um, right, that is it for news.
- 46:37SPEAKER_04: Shall we get on to what we've been playing?
- 46:38SPEAKER_06: Yeah, man.
- 46:39SPEAKER_06: What's your game?
- 46:47SPEAKER_06: What's your game?
- 46:48SPEAKER_04: So sure, we went to the Beyblade tournament last month.
- 46:51SPEAKER_04: We won't talk about it that much, but fuck me, it was fun, wasn't it?
- 46:55SPEAKER_05: Yeah, it was it was so much fun and really well organised.
- 46:58SPEAKER_04: Uh really well organised.
- 46:59SPEAKER_04: Uh, and and I tell you what, that was another place as well.
- 47:02SPEAKER_04: So many decent, nice people too.
- 47:04SPEAKER_05: Yeah, there were, yeah.
- 47:05SPEAKER_04: Um it was it was like it was like the old FG FGC.
- 47:09SPEAKER_05: It was a little bit, yeah, to be honest.
- 47:11SPEAKER_04: That was more I liked about but what was funny is it's just like it was it was mostly people our age.
- 47:17SPEAKER_04: Yeah, like in the adults tournament, I was expecting maybe some 20-year-olds, 18-year-olds, things like this, because it was it was 13 and up.
- 47:23SPEAKER_05: It was most millennials like that were playing.
- 47:26SPEAKER_04: It was all people that have got into these things that they used to enjoy when they were a kid.
- 47:29SPEAKER_04: Yeah, yeah, um, hella fun.
- 47:31SPEAKER_04: But then what happened?
- 47:32SPEAKER_04: You heard about this new tournament in Battersea.
- 47:34SPEAKER_04: How did that go?
- 47:35SPEAKER_04: Is that good?
- 47:36SPEAKER_05: No, it was quite bad because it was all children.
- 47:38SPEAKER_04: Um Sean entered a children's bayblade tournament.
- 47:41SPEAKER_05: Um it was annoying because uh like I went there and bricked all these fucking kids and then went home.
- 47:47SPEAKER_05: Yeah, that's what I did.
- 47:48SPEAKER_05: Um no, I went I went there like originally about five-ish.
- 47:52SPEAKER_05: Um maybe five thirty, and I was like, yeah, it's a Beyblade tournament happening here, and uh and then um uh woman's like, yeah, and she's like, You entering like that.
- 48:03SPEAKER_04: She must have been like and I don't know if you Right, no, and I don't know if you people that have met Sean in real life, and a couple of the listeners have, will know that Sean when you meet him, you understand that he's special.
- 48:14SPEAKER_05: Thanks, man.
- 48:16SPEAKER_04: And you know what I mean by that, listener.
- 48:18SPEAKER_05: So you must have looked like no how how old are you then?
- 48:22SPEAKER_05: I'm 40 years old.
- 48:23SPEAKER_05: Yeah, no, it was uh she was just a bit bad.
- 48:26SPEAKER_05: All right, champ.
- 48:27SPEAKER_05: It just sort of kinda like comes with the rest of the story.
- 48:29SPEAKER_05: Like um Oh, sorry, you know, like uh so um yeah.
- 48:34SPEAKER_03: Did she ask where your parents are?
- 48:35SPEAKER_05: I didn't know like about her.
- 48:37SPEAKER_05: I didn't know why she was being mused at the time.
- 48:40SPEAKER_05: Um but uh when I came back, um I saw why because I uh went upstairs to where the tournament was happening and it was all kids.
- 48:49SPEAKER_05: Um not her yeah, exactly.
- 48:52SPEAKER_05: And not just uh any kids, but very young ones and their parents.
- 48:57SPEAKER_05: Um so my phone was nearly dead, so I just sat down to charge my phone before the tournament.
- 49:02SPEAKER_04: And um You didn't hang around to watch it, did you?
- 49:05SPEAKER_05: No, I plugged my phone in and I was like, Where are the adults?
- 49:08SPEAKER_05: Are they coming or whatever?
- 49:09SPEAKER_05: What's going on?
- 49:10SPEAKER_05: And um this like mum gives me a glare, like, and um then this bloke's like, right, you and you, and it was two kids, and then I was like, no, that's it, I'm gone.
- 49:19SPEAKER_05: Right, that's it.
- 49:20SPEAKER_05: I've come come all the way to like like Battersea.
- 49:23SPEAKER_04: Uh the fact that they didn't immediately go, it's a kid's tournament, get out, right?
- 49:29SPEAKER_04: The that I think we could would could you have entered?
- 49:33SPEAKER_05: Yeah.
- 49:35SPEAKER_05: You should have, man.
- 49:36SPEAKER_05: You could have scooped up the prize.
- 49:37SPEAKER_05: I felt out of place, though.
- 49:38SPEAKER_05: I felt like Billy's.
- 49:40SPEAKER_04: Yeah, it is a bit you probably would have felt out of place being a 40-year-old man amongst a bunch of children.
- 49:44SPEAKER_05: I generally don't like feeling out of place, which I most often do in life, you know.
- 49:49SPEAKER_04: So that's true.
- 49:50SPEAKER_05: Yeah, I mean, um, so yeah, it kind of sucks really.
- 49:52SPEAKER_05: I was uh yeah, I couldn't.
- 49:54SPEAKER_04: So you entered a children's Beyblade tournament and and def and came last place.
- 49:58SPEAKER_05: Yeah, I came last place.
- 49:59SPEAKER_05: You are the worst Beyblade player there is.
- 50:01SPEAKER_05: Yeah, definitely.
- 50:01SPEAKER_05: Uh yeah.
- 50:02SPEAKER_04: Right, well, good.
- 50:04SPEAKER_04: Um and you've been playing Breath of Fire 4.
- 50:18unknown: Yeah.
- 50:18SPEAKER_05: Been playing Breath of Fire 4.
- 50:20SPEAKER_05: Um, people have said this is one of the best RPGs I've made.
- 50:23SPEAKER_04: And um I'd say I'm here to report that it's crap.
- 50:26SPEAKER_05: Um you're all wrong.
- 50:28SPEAKER_05: No, it's uh basically the last.
- 50:30SPEAKER_04: I mean, even though it was uh definitely take a mid-sentence.
- 50:34SPEAKER_05: Yeah, I was gonna cough there.
- 50:36SPEAKER_05: Um so like uh like the last sort of 90s RPG, uh, even though it's still made in the early 2000s, um it's got sort of 90s sensibilities.
- 50:46SPEAKER_05: It's probably um, you know, you got the isometric view, uh things like that.
- 50:52SPEAKER_05: Um there's not really like uh many problems with the game.
- 50:55SPEAKER_05: Um it's got a similar spell system to Fantasy Star, uh, where you can combine spells, stuff like that.
- 51:04SPEAKER_04: Um and it's like eight quid on Steam.
- 51:06SPEAKER_05: Uh yeah, yeah.
- 51:08SPEAKER_04: Talk about the graphics are beautiful, aren't they?
- 51:09SPEAKER_04: It's a PS1 game originally.
- 51:11SPEAKER_04: Yeah, but it looks incredible.
- 51:12SPEAKER_05: Yeah, it looks incredible.
- 51:13SPEAKER_05: Um you got yeah, the 3D and 2D hybrid stuff.
- 51:17SPEAKER_05: Um yeah, so like all the monsters and the battles look great.
- 51:21SPEAKER_05: Um and yeah, it's got like a dual protagonist storyline.
- 51:26SPEAKER_05: Oh that's a shame.
- 51:28SPEAKER_05: You know, I mean not like uh not like all the time, but it's like you're the main character are you, like in every other Breath of the Fire game.
- 51:37SPEAKER_05: Um like from Street Fire.
- 51:40SPEAKER_05: No, it's slightly different.
- 51:42SPEAKER_05: That's a shame.
- 51:43SPEAKER_04: Um but yeah, I I mean I'd say right, but we all know that a good J RPG is only as good as its story also gameplay.
- 51:50SPEAKER_04: But is the story good?
- 51:51SPEAKER_04: What's it about?
- 51:52SPEAKER_05: Story's good.
- 51:53SPEAKER_05: Uh the story's good.
- 51:54SPEAKER_05: I can't story's good.
- 51:55SPEAKER_04: All right.
- 51:55SPEAKER_05: I can't really I can't really report too much on it because I've only played like 10 hours, but um it's quite engaging.
- 52:03SPEAKER_05: What in the first ten hours is the story good?
- 52:06SPEAKER_05: Yeah, it's very engaging to be.
- 52:07SPEAKER_05: What's it about?
- 52:08SPEAKER_05: Um so you're sort of um you know, you've got uh like one one character has sort of a dragon inside them.
- 52:16SPEAKER_04: Ah, so he's that's where the Breath of Fire name comes from.
- 52:19SPEAKER_04: I was about to make a joke about that interrupting you, but it actually is the case.
- 52:23SPEAKER_04: Yeah, it is the case, yeah.
- 52:24SPEAKER_04: A scared man.
- 52:25SPEAKER_05: Um so yeah, I mean, yeah, it's very enjoyable.
- 52:28SPEAKER_05: I'd say go pick it up.
- 52:30SPEAKER_05: Uh one of the best RPGs, it's uh one of the best RPGs ever made, to be honest.
- 52:35SPEAKER_04: Um that's good.
- 52:36SPEAKER_04: Uh I feel like I don't know much about it.
- 52:38SPEAKER_04: It's a bargain, but um but for eight pounds pick it up.
- 52:41SPEAKER_05: Um yeah, it's like very t traditional um in every sort of sense, but just sort of kicked up a notch and streamlined basically.
- 52:50SPEAKER_04: Isn't it great that like uh you know I d I do usually like to derail you when you're trying to do your reviews, um and I felt like I was pretty good there.
- 52:58unknown: Yeah.
- 52:58SPEAKER_04: Don't you?
- 52:59SPEAKER_06: Yeah, yeah.
- 52:59SPEAKER_04: But isn't it good that we were that we're still uh discovering to this day, well, everyone knows about Breath of Fire, but like there are so many PS1 JRPGs that I still haven't played that are fucking excellent.
- 53:11SPEAKER_05: I know, and this is this is one of them.
- 53:13SPEAKER_05: Uh you'd really enjoy this.
- 53:14SPEAKER_04: I know, I need to I need to play it.
- 53:16SPEAKER_05: I will um it's also got like those sort of puzzles that you'd sort of get in JRPGs.
- 53:21SPEAKER_05: That's a shame.
- 53:22SPEAKER_05: You know, like where it's like I don't know, like sort of more trying to move around and stuff.
- 53:29SPEAKER_05: Um there's very interesting uh water themed one where you're like going around a dam and then uh like a boss dragon comes out of the water.
- 53:38SPEAKER_05: It's really cool, really cool.
- 53:40SPEAKER_04: Sounds great.
- 53:41SPEAKER_04: Right, yeah.
- 53:41SPEAKER_04: How many thumbs up are you giving it out for Breath of Fire?
- 53:45SPEAKER_05: Uh okay, four.
- 53:47SPEAKER_04: Nice.
- 53:48SPEAKER_04: Uh right, uh we obviously went to versus fighting, and there was a bunch of games that we played that uh we didn't speak about in the documentary.
- 53:56SPEAKER_04: So uh first up, Windjammers.
- 53:58SPEAKER_04: Let's talk about Windjammers.
- 53:59SPEAKER_05: Yeah, yeah.
- 54:00SPEAKER_04: Uh that's on Steam as well.
- 54:02SPEAKER_04: Also, so is Windjammers 2, but apparently not as good.
- 54:04SPEAKER_05: Yeah, I mean it looks good, but it's not as good as the first one.
- 54:07SPEAKER_04: So Windjammers, much like things like Speedball, is a uh fictional future sports game uh about throwing a frisbee into each other's goals.
- 54:17SPEAKER_05: It's pretty close to air hockey.
- 54:20SPEAKER_04: Yeah, yeah, that's a very good point way of putting it.
- 54:22SPEAKER_04: It's like air hockey, but if you were uh allowed to hold the ball, uh the puck when it gets to you.
- 54:27SPEAKER_05: I guess uh part of the selling point of the arcade was is you didn't have to maintain an air hockey table.
- 54:32SPEAKER_05: You could just have that arcade and that's true.
- 54:34SPEAKER_04: Um yeah, wind jammers, really fucking good game.
- 54:37SPEAKER_04: We played quite a lot of it, didn't we?
- 54:38SPEAKER_05: Yeah, man.
- 54:39SPEAKER_04: Because that was always set up and nobody was playing it.
- 54:41SPEAKER_04: So we played that.
- 54:42SPEAKER_04: Um also we played Tekken 3, didn't we?
- 54:44SPEAKER_04: Yeah, we did.
- 54:45SPEAKER_04: You come to the realisation that Tekken has always been a bit shit, but like like in an enjoyable way, but yes, it's got it's got Kukli techniques that you can exploit even as far back as three.
- 54:55SPEAKER_04: And people say a lot of people say that's their favourite one.
- 54:59SPEAKER_05: It was quite broken and sluggish, though.
- 55:01SPEAKER_04: Yeah, it really was, wasn't it?
- 55:03SPEAKER_04: There's that one point where I figured out a move with Eddie, um, and and and it wasn't the sort of low-down breakdancing type one, by the way, listener.
- 55:11SPEAKER_04: But I figured out a move with Eddie that was basically if you just timed it right, you there was nothing the opponent could do.
- 55:17SPEAKER_04: And uh same go went for Lei as well, like just figured out a pretty cool string with Lei, and that was it, it was over.
- 55:23SPEAKER_04: Just laying down on the floor, jumping up and kicking you over and over again.
- 55:26SPEAKER_04: Um, yeah, Tekken's always been a bit weird, but it is a fun game, to be fair.
- 55:31SPEAKER_04: It's just not to be taken seriously.
- 55:33SPEAKER_04: Uh, the avatar fighting game we also played.
- 55:35SPEAKER_04: What did you think of that?
- 55:36SPEAKER_05: Um very good game, very good.
- 55:39SPEAKER_05: Well, I didn't get to play it.
- 55:40SPEAKER_04: No, neither did I.
- 55:42SPEAKER_04: Because we sat down at the PS5 where the avatar game was, and there was a bug that wouldn't let the second player plug the control in.
- 55:49SPEAKER_05: I looked at it.
- 55:51SPEAKER_05: The menu was very nice.
- 55:53SPEAKER_05: Yeah, it was.
- 55:54SPEAKER_05: Good menu, good menu.
- 55:55SPEAKER_05: It was taken aback by the menu.
- 55:57SPEAKER_05: The game might have been good.
- 55:58SPEAKER_05: Maybe the game would be more popular if you could play it.
- 56:02SPEAKER_04: Yeah, I mean that would help.
- 56:04SPEAKER_04: Um in addition to that, we also played uh we watched Third Strike, and we have been uh playing Street Fighter 3 Third Strike.
- 56:15SPEAKER_04: So um we were we we watched this at um VS Fighting, and thanks to Singo, his mates, and everyone that turned up, uh we felt very encouraged to play it because it felt like the old FGC, right?
- 56:29SPEAKER_04: Yeah, yeah.
- 56:30SPEAKER_04: So we sort of left Guilty Gear behind, despite the fact that those people, the people to play it, are very, very good people.
- 56:35SPEAKER_04: We like it felt like people that are still maintaining and playing the old fighting games are kind of where where it's at, like the respect, the showing people your techniques, that type of thing, right?
- 56:47SPEAKER_04: Yeah, it's it's present in the old games, and so we wanted to go back.
- 56:50SPEAKER_04: So we've been playing third strike.
- 57:02SPEAKER_04: Do you like Street Fighter 3 third strike?
- 57:05SPEAKER_05: I do, I do.
- 57:06SPEAKER_05: Um it's a very good game.
- 57:07SPEAKER_05: Uh I've been enjoying it a lot.
- 57:09SPEAKER_05: Um, you know, uh, you could play it for hours.
- 57:12SPEAKER_04: I mean I could play it for like uh 45 minutes, man.
- 57:16SPEAKER_04: That's how much I love it.
- 57:17SPEAKER_04: Yeah, yeah, I mean No, it's it's it is it's a for those that don't know, it's a uh a hip hop inspired Street Fighter game uh where the biggest thing in it is I suppose the biggest difference is the the parry system, which means that it which it affects every single thing you do in the game because you can instead of holding back to block, if you tap forward at the right moment, you will parry a person's move and can it then interrupt them, right?
- 57:46SPEAKER_05: Yeah.
- 57:47SPEAKER_04: But the thing is, this informs the entire way the game plays because technically any move can be unsafe, right?
- 57:54SPEAKER_04: If the opponent knows you're going to do it, any move can be unsa uh unsafe.
- 57:58SPEAKER_04: Therefore, being random and mixing your strategy up is uh and doing things quick things that the opponent doesn't expect, it's it leads to the game being very poke heavy, but also very mix-up heavy.
- 58:14SPEAKER_04: Like by design, you have to you have to be able to mix up and to be able to hit your opponent with quick pokes constantly, right?
- 58:22SPEAKER_04: Yeah, and that's all because the parry system exists.
- 58:24SPEAKER_04: If you do anything predictable, you're fucked.
- 58:27SPEAKER_04: And it's also why throws are two frames to activate, because that's almost like the anti-parry.
- 58:33SPEAKER_04: If they're tapping forward trying to parry you, you go in for a throw.
- 58:36SPEAKER_04: I really like it.
- 58:37SPEAKER_04: And we've been playing using Fight Cade.
- 58:40SPEAKER_04: Fight Cade is a system that uh adds online to a lot of classic games, right?
- 58:44SPEAKER_05: Uh previously known as GGPO.
- 58:47SPEAKER_04: Well, was it?
- 58:48SPEAKER_05: Yeah, yeah.
- 58:49SPEAKER_04: Oh, okay.
- 58:49SPEAKER_04: Yeah, because I played on that too.
- 58:51SPEAKER_05: That's what I played on originally, yeah.
- 58:53SPEAKER_04: Yes, because it uses the GGPO rollback net code.
- 58:55SPEAKER_04: I should have under realized that.
- 58:58SPEAKER_04: Now, we won't get too much into the game, but what do you think of now?
- 59:01SPEAKER_04: We've played pretty consistently on Fight Cade where really we haven't done that much before.
- 59:06SPEAKER_04: What do you think of the online experience of Fight Cade?
- 59:09SPEAKER_04: Uh you faced your rival, Gold Car Jack, didn't you, on Street Fight 2?
- 59:13SPEAKER_05: That's that's I mean, if that's what you want to say, if that's how you want to.
- 59:16SPEAKER_04: If those are the words you want to use, I didn't say rival.
- 59:19SPEAKER_04: Why are you saying rival?
- 59:20SPEAKER_05: Yeah, like greatest enemy.
- 59:21SPEAKER_05: No, I play I mean, to be fair, I used I I played a lot of Superturber on Fight Cade.
- 59:27SPEAKER_04: Oh, yeah, that's true.
- 59:28SPEAKER_04: So well, I guess it's more me that hasn't that much.
- 59:30SPEAKER_04: I played on Kayleira back in the day.
- 59:32SPEAKER_04: But what do you think of the actual experience?
- 59:35SPEAKER_05: No, it's good.
- 59:36SPEAKER_05: It's good.
- 59:36SPEAKER_05: I mean, people willing to help you out.
- 59:38SPEAKER_05: Um there's a lot of lost stiff competition, but uh people That's what we wanted though.
- 59:44SPEAKER_05: There's some people that are very judgmental, and there are some that are very kind, so you know and some of them I've had I've had a couple of the cunts.
- 59:53SPEAKER_05: Yeah, I have.
- 59:53SPEAKER_05: I've had a few.
- 59:54SPEAKER_04: I've had uh it's mostly been outweighed by really, really decent people.
- 59:58SPEAKER_04: And I played some of the people that went to VS fighting.
- 1:00:01SPEAKER_04: Um there were there was like a guy that I that faced me the other day, right?
- 1:00:05SPEAKER_04: And he's a B rank player, and this was when I first started the game because I've only ever dabbled in it.
- 1:00:09SPEAKER_04: I've probably played maybe 20 minutes throughout my entire life.
- 1:00:13SPEAKER_04: I don't know why my neighbours are fucking shouting.
- 1:00:15SPEAKER_04: They do this every minute of every fucking day.
- 1:00:17SPEAKER_04: Actually, funny story.
- 1:00:19SPEAKER_04: Um the other day, this is bad, right?
- 1:00:21SPEAKER_04: It makes me look a bit bad.
- 1:00:23SPEAKER_04: But my neighbour was on the phone shouting, so he stands by the window and he's on his phone and he just shouts.
- 1:00:29SPEAKER_04: He doesn't understand how a phone works, clearly, right?
- 1:00:31SPEAKER_04: But he'll just shout, shout, and I couldn't hear what he was saying, but all I was like, and then I made I did that noise at him out my out my window, and then I just heard back, shut the fuck up, asshole! He's not Italian, but I was trying to do the accent as best I could.
- 1:00:47SPEAKER_04: Anyway, yes, a guy matched me on Fight Cade, right?
- 1:00:49SPEAKER_04: A B rank player, and this is when I did the first day I sat down for my first few games, and I see you've been challenged by this B rank player.
- 1:00:57SPEAKER_04: He challenged me to the first thing, he beats me, obviously, right?
- 1:01:01SPEAKER_04: And then just goes, You have a lot to learn, and then quits.
- 1:01:04SPEAKER_05: Yeah, obviously you do.
- 1:01:06SPEAKER_04: Yeah, clearly, I've only played the game for 20 minutes.
- 1:01:08SPEAKER_04: What the fuck?
- 1:01:09SPEAKER_04: Um Jesus, yeah, yeah.
- 1:01:11SPEAKER_05: Um and it's hard, it's it is hard.
- 1:01:14SPEAKER_05: It does get a bit discouraging at times, if I'm honest.
- 1:01:17SPEAKER_05: Yeah, but the thing is not being beaten, I don't mind being beaten, but well, because you you know it happens a lot.
- 1:01:23SPEAKER_05: I mean, you're gonna get beaten to get like to get good, isn't it?
- 1:01:26SPEAKER_04: Well, and even like you've said, you know, and uh Bruce Lee once said never made it out as a wise man, never made it as a poor man stealing.
- 1:01:34SPEAKER_05: Yeah, I mean I think Nickelback paraphrased it, but they did.
- 1:01:37SPEAKER_04: They did they did it worse than Bruce Lee did, in my opinion.
- 1:01:40SPEAKER_05: Yeah, exactly.
- 1:01:40SPEAKER_04: Um but um the thing about the the thing about it is, right, is that I I've had I've had a lot of look, the reason that we started playing on Fight Cade and playing Third Strike was because the quality of matches, there's a lot more people that play things like Guild of Gears, Street Fighter 6, things like this.
- 1:01:57SPEAKER_04: But you're playing with people that don't want to take the game seriously, that don't give a fuck, they don't want to get better, they're just happy playing ranked matches in whatever low ranks, right?
- 1:02:07SPEAKER_04: So ranking up in those games is so easy to the point where we've played modern fighting games, turned up at a tournament, thinking like oh this would be a breeze, and then of course, all the people that get go to to offlines and that play in specific lobbies and things like this, they're always so much better because they're playing the real game, right?
- 1:02:27SPEAKER_04: I got to master with with Crimson Viper, and it was like then you get to that level and it's like, oh, I've just spent 200 hours doing the tutorial, right?
- 1:02:35SPEAKER_04: Yeah, and I know people that have said it took them 400 hours to get to master, right?
- 1:02:39SPEAKER_04: That was like a new character for me.
- 1:02:41SPEAKER_04: So that took me what 50 hours to get there, and even still, that felt like every game I'd played up until that point was a waste of time.
- 1:02:47SPEAKER_04: You know what I mean?
- 1:02:48SPEAKER_05: I mean it was, yeah.
- 1:02:49SPEAKER_04: It was, it literally was, and now we're like well, playing on Fight Cade, it's like going to the arcade where it's just good players in there.
- 1:02:57SPEAKER_04: There are some trash ones, but it's mostly good players, and you're uh and it's less about like in Street Fighter 6 or Guilty Gear, like about just chasing those wins, like it was on Grand Blue, right?
- 1:03:10SPEAKER_04: Just chasing those wins to rank up to get to master this and the other.
- 1:03:13SPEAKER_04: It's actually about learning the game because that's where the fun is.
- 1:03:17SPEAKER_04: The ranks that are set on Firecade are sort of meaningless, but the playing of the if you're playing the game to play the game to have fun and get better, then that is all orchestrated by you and how you play the game, like it was in the arcade days.
- 1:03:32SPEAKER_04: You go there, you sit down, you play people, and you try to get better, and that's it.
- 1:03:37SPEAKER_05: And yeah, basically, yeah.
- 1:03:39SPEAKER_05: I mean, um, yeah, you're just playing against everyone with that mindset.
- 1:03:44SPEAKER_04: Yeah, good uh good people looking to learn the game and frequently trying to teach you the game, right?
- 1:03:48SPEAKER_04: They're like actually nice people.
- 1:03:50SPEAKER_04: I mean, I there was one I played the other day, and I've got a bit better at the game, haven't I?
- 1:03:55SPEAKER_04: I've started beating you.
- 1:03:56SPEAKER_05: Yeah, yeah, definitely.
- 1:03:57SPEAKER_04: And you've got more experience with me than the game.
- 1:03:59SPEAKER_05: Yeah.
- 1:04:00SPEAKER_04: And but like fucking um I played against the character.
- 1:04:03SPEAKER_04: Now I'm playing Elena, and Elena is mid-tier at best, right?
- 1:04:08SPEAKER_04: But I saw I saw Jewel Box play at VS Fighting and got inspired.
- 1:04:12SPEAKER_04: He's a cracking Elena player.
- 1:04:14SPEAKER_04: Anyway, I played a guy playing Dudley who just started out, right?
- 1:04:17SPEAKER_04: And I went in, I murked him, but not because uh well he was he was kind of shit, right?
- 1:04:22SPEAKER_04: But I murked him, and then uh we were playing Unranked, and after one of the games, he just went cheap ass fucking character and then left.
- 1:04:29SPEAKER_04: Elena being cheap is one of the funniest things against Dudley, one of the best characters and it's a bad matchup for Elena, to be honest.
- 1:04:36SPEAKER_04: Yeah, that was yeah, very funny.
- 1:04:38SPEAKER_04: But uh, I just I prefer it, man.
- 1:04:40SPEAKER_04: I feel like I'm finally playing the game to play it, you know what I mean?
- 1:04:43SPEAKER_04: Yeah, and it's a lot better.
- 1:04:44SPEAKER_04: But we played a bunch of other games on there.
- 1:04:46SPEAKER_04: Toy Fighter.
- 1:04:47SPEAKER_05: Toy Fighter, we played that, it's a good game.
- 1:04:49SPEAKER_04: It really isn't it was fun as heck, but yeah.
- 1:04:53SPEAKER_04: Because Fight Cade has about what, like 200 games on there to play?
- 1:04:56SPEAKER_05: Yeah, it's fucking amazing.
- 1:04:58SPEAKER_05: It's free as well.
- 1:04:58SPEAKER_05: Even like Mega Drive and SNES games.
- 1:05:01SPEAKER_04: So if you want to back up all your old collection and play them legally on there, you can.
- 1:05:04SPEAKER_05: Yeah, yeah, that's what we do.
- 1:05:06SPEAKER_04: Or get the JSON ROM downloaded, but don't do that.
- 1:05:08SPEAKER_05: Um that's what I'm doing.
- 1:05:10SPEAKER_05: No, don't do that.
- 1:05:11SPEAKER_05: I've got my You could get arrested.
- 1:05:12SPEAKER_05: I've got my arcade board of Super Turbo, so I've got but it has to be a legal dump of your ROM though.
- 1:05:18SPEAKER_04: Um you can't download it.
- 1:05:20SPEAKER_04: Did you dump it?
- 1:05:21SPEAKER_05: Uh um yeah, like on my floor, aren't I?
- 1:05:24SPEAKER_04: Brilliant.
- 1:05:25SPEAKER_05: I'll put the board on the floor.
- 1:05:26SPEAKER_04: Toy Fighter is a mental game um where you play toys fighting each other.
- 1:05:30SPEAKER_05: Yeah, I mean it controls similarly to uh plasma sword, the nightmare of Bill Steen, but uh What a name for a game.
- 1:05:38SPEAKER_04: What and what a game.
- 1:05:39SPEAKER_04: Um but also you sort of have lives.
- 1:05:42SPEAKER_04: So you do have the traditional like health bars, but then there are some moves that will just erase lives from you.
- 1:05:47SPEAKER_05: Yeah, I mean, um yeah, you got grey done on how you kill kill people.
- 1:05:52SPEAKER_05: Um so yeah, so you could like you could lose three points uh if you get thrown or like oh no, it's if you get a super move done on you.
- 1:06:00SPEAKER_04: Yeah, Supermovie three points.
- 1:06:01SPEAKER_04: If you get thrown, that's two lives gone instantly.
- 1:06:03SPEAKER_04: It's mental.
- 1:06:04SPEAKER_04: And some of the moves are so stupid.
- 1:06:06SPEAKER_04: There's a get like the toys because there's that one coming out soon called Knockoff, which is an indie fight game, indie fighting game where you play toys, right?
- 1:06:13SPEAKER_04: And it's got things like like nostalgic toys, like He-Man type shit.
- 1:06:17SPEAKER_04: Yeah.
- 1:06:18SPEAKER_05: And like X-Men and Yeah, it's all like legally distinct.
- 1:06:22SPEAKER_04: But this Toy Fighter is like, I don't know where they got that they got the ideas for the toys in that game, because it's like there's something that's like a weird chicken robot.
- 1:06:29SPEAKER_04: There's a frog called Caru Man, isn't there?
- 1:06:31SPEAKER_05: It's like It seems like they based the idea off of like Sid from Toy Story.
- 1:06:37SPEAKER_04: Yeah, yeah.
- 1:06:38SPEAKER_04: You know the way he like puts all the toys together, like Yeah, and some of the moves, like it would you would be embarrassed if somebody came into the room and you saw them play and and they saw you playing the game.
- 1:06:48SPEAKER_04: Because so because they're toys, like obviously their entire upper body can just spin around.
- 1:06:52SPEAKER_04: So so many of the moves are like if you've ever seen that Japanese baseball game where people could animate their own animations for the throwing and stuff, it looks like that.
- 1:07:00SPEAKER_04: It's just the cookliest, weirdest, stupid moves.
- 1:07:02SPEAKER_04: You can never tell what somebody's gonna do.
- 1:07:04SPEAKER_05: I love the graphics, I think they're quite sharp.
- 1:07:06SPEAKER_05: It's that sort of early 2000s or Sagas.
- 1:07:09SPEAKER_04: Naomi shit, yeah, yeah.
- 1:07:10SPEAKER_05: Um I like that, but um it was fun.
- 1:07:13SPEAKER_05: All the sound effects as well, you get like buying and stuff like that.
- 1:07:16SPEAKER_04: Oh it's like you know, it like those old cartoon sound effects.
- 1:07:20SPEAKER_04: Like, it's like that type of shit.
- 1:07:22SPEAKER_04: It's a fucking embarrassing game, but it is a hell of it's really fun, yeah.
- 1:07:26SPEAKER_04: Next up, we did play Death Wish Enforcers.
- 1:07:28SPEAKER_03: Do we want to talk about that or should we skip Death Wish Enforcers with the Bob?
- 1:07:38SPEAKER_05: No, no, I'll talk about it quickly.
- 1:07:40SPEAKER_05: Um it's a um basically a sort of uh sort of it's like Sunset Riders.
- 1:07:46SPEAKER_04: Um the only thing is a run and gun cowboy western arcade game.
- 1:07:50SPEAKER_05: Yeah, so um the only thing is um with this one, uh it can only really be played single player, but you'd really want to play it multiplayer.
- 1:07:58SPEAKER_05: Um I thought it was a good game, and it had sort of a band arcade sort of vibe to it, bad uh like a band sort of arcade.
- 1:08:06SPEAKER_04: Oh like like those old um arcade hacks that would put tits into the games.
- 1:08:09SPEAKER_04: Yeah, yeah, yeah.
- 1:08:10SPEAKER_04: Yeah, yeah, yeah.
- 1:08:10SPEAKER_04: I see what you mean.
- 1:08:11SPEAKER_04: Like we used to see them in very seedy arcades in Spain.
- 1:08:14SPEAKER_05: Yeah, yeah, yeah.
- 1:08:15SPEAKER_05: We did.
- 1:08:16SPEAKER_05: Um and the overall the game was good.
- 1:08:18SPEAKER_05: It's just like um like there were like were a couple of glaring bugs like not being able to play multiplayer that they should fix.
- 1:08:25SPEAKER_04: Yeah, so they did it via the online multiplayer, via the Steam Link type shit.
- 1:08:30SPEAKER_04: I can't remember what it's called, but like and and it doesn't work particularly well.
- 1:08:36SPEAKER_04: I felt like the the the it was about like instead of being a cowboy setting, it was a run and gun game that's set in a black black exploitation 70s cop show-ish thing.
- 1:08:48SPEAKER_04: But then it's got lots of like um seedy, sordid uh pornography type stuff in it, which I have no problem with, but it was just a bit like I don't mind that to be honest.
- 1:08:59SPEAKER_04: Like it wasn't it wasn't it wasn't a pawn game, but it was uh like an exploitation type thing, and as a result had a lot of uh I don't know how to how to put it, like um uh cheeky aspects to it.
- 1:09:12SPEAKER_04: You know what I mean?
- 1:09:13SPEAKER_04: Like it's not out and out filth, but but then it's like you get to the first level boss and he's called the pawn king.
- 1:09:19SPEAKER_04: I don't know, man.
- 1:09:20SPEAKER_04: I felt like the the game had promise, but it just felt as if like there was there was a lack of polish and difficulty balancing that was missing.
- 1:09:29SPEAKER_04: It just needs a new patch.
- 1:09:30SPEAKER_04: So if the devs are listening, which they definitely aren't, please just do an update.
- 1:09:36SPEAKER_04: Give it a better curve.
- 1:09:37SPEAKER_04: Because it feels like you know when arcade games get hard at level three, yeah, yeah.
- 1:09:40SPEAKER_04: It feels like you're starting at that.
- 1:09:42SPEAKER_05: I think they lie, it's a patch away from being an excellent game.
- 1:09:45SPEAKER_04: Yeah, yeah.
- 1:09:46SPEAKER_04: I I guess it was just a little bit too hard.
- 1:09:48SPEAKER_04: So if you see Death Wish Enforces, give it a wish list and maybe buy it the next time it gets an update.
- 1:09:53SPEAKER_04: Um shall we go into my games?
- 1:09:55SPEAKER_02: Square Sausage.
- 1:09:56SPEAKER_02: I don't want to be taken hostage.
- 1:09:59SPEAKER_02: My package is in the postage.
- 1:10:01SPEAKER_02: I don't want to go to that sausage.
- 1:10:04SPEAKER_02: Square sausage?
- 1:10:05SPEAKER_02: Why is it square if it's meant to be a sausage?
- 1:10:07SPEAKER_04: Alright, I've been uh I've been reading a book, uh Playing to Win by David Serlin.
- 1:10:12SPEAKER_04: Now, Sean, you know who David Serlin is?
- 1:10:15SPEAKER_05: Yeah, yeah, the fight the original fighting game scientist.
- 1:10:18SPEAKER_04: That's him.
- 1:10:19SPEAKER_04: What do you mean?
- 1:10:20SPEAKER_05: That's the literary nickname.
- 1:10:22SPEAKER_04: Was it?
- 1:10:23SPEAKER_04: Because he he had a bunch of different nicknames in his book, and that was not one of them.
- 1:10:26SPEAKER_05: Well, everyone used to call him that back in the day.
- 1:10:29SPEAKER_05: Okay, very because he was the first person to sort of explain about how spacing works, how things take up bits on the screen.
- 1:10:37SPEAKER_04: Yes, and frame data.
- 1:10:38SPEAKER_05: And he was also the guy that um came in and um rebalanced Puzz Fight uh Puzzle Fighter 2 Turbo, and um he also was the main brains behind HD Remix, Street Fighter 2 HD Remix.
- 1:10:52SPEAKER_04: Oh, of course, yeah, yeah.
- 1:10:53SPEAKER_04: And and notably the changes that he made to Super Street Fighter 2 Turbo and the HD Remix were accepted by the community as being good ideas, which is crazy because most people don't consider Super Turbo to be perfect, but they consider it to be uh you like you don't fuck with it.
- 1:11:12SPEAKER_05: No, yeah, and um yeah it was great when HD Remix came out, it was quite well liked.
- 1:11:17SPEAKER_05: A lot of the changes, yeah, it was a lot of the changes were um yeah, widely accepted.
- 1:11:23SPEAKER_05: It changed a lot of the moves as well.
- 1:11:25SPEAKER_05: Um so Dalson's super was easier to do, for example.
- 1:11:28SPEAKER_04: Right, but interestingly, one of this guy's nicknames was Low Punch.
- 1:11:32SPEAKER_05: Low Punch, yeah.
- 1:11:33SPEAKER_04: Yeah, because he he once won a tournament uh by in the last game switching to Rose in Super Street Fighter Alpha 2 and just using the low punch because the other character is weak against it.
- 1:11:43SPEAKER_05: Yeah, I mean uh that's where everyone sort of knows you sort of like low punch, like light punch, low punch out of things, you know.
- 1:11:50SPEAKER_04: But anyway, the David Cerlin, his book Playing to Win is is a bit better than Daigo's book in that it's similarly short, but it's just about uh mindsets um to to win at fighting games, uh what you should be doing in training, what you should be looking out for, and what what uh things count as getting better or improving, right?
- 1:12:16SPEAKER_04: What you should be going, ah look, I managed to do this, I've improved, you know.
- 1:12:20SPEAKER_04: And the advice throughout the entire game is all very, very excellent, well thought out, and grounded in real examples.
- 1:12:27SPEAKER_04: He doesn't just talk about himself, he talks about all the great players like uh Alex Fe and uh Daigo and Justin Wong and John Choi and that.
- 1:12:37SPEAKER_04: Yeah, yeah, John Choi speaks about a lot, and and then it's he also gives examples of people using the same mindset from other games, like he'll talk about StarCraft players, uh Counter-Strike, chess players, and uh Magic the Gathering as well, which to be honest, I wish he'd kept that part out.
- 1:12:52SPEAKER_04: I switched off most of the time when he talked about MTG, but it's like no, but it's a fair fair like a fair analogy that's well because what he's doing is he'll give you the theory, then he'll apply it to a bunch of different things and and and say, like at certain points he talks about sporting and like tennis and things like this, and it's like a very, very decent read that you could read in a day that is like full of absolutely brilliant advice and examples and some really good stories as well from like his time being a competitive fighting game player.
- 1:13:24SPEAKER_04: Um, very, very good book.
- 1:13:26SPEAKER_04: Can't recommend it.
- 1:13:26SPEAKER_04: I don't have anything funny to say about it, but it is it is really really good, and also like um if you want to pretend you've read Sunsa's The Art of War, he references that a lot, so you'll gain a bit of knowledge about that too.
- 1:13:39SPEAKER_05: That's good because I've I've spent my whole life pretending I've read that, to be honest.
- 1:13:42SPEAKER_04: Exactly.
- 1:13:43SPEAKER_04: Um much like uh the Wu-Tang clan.
- 1:13:47SPEAKER_04: Um, the only other thing I played was banana m monkey ball banana mania.
- 1:14:05SPEAKER_05: Banana mania, you played it.
- 1:14:07SPEAKER_05: Yep.
- 1:14:08SPEAKER_04: Not a very good game, baby.
- 1:14:10SPEAKER_05: Wait a minute, this is the most recent one, eh?
- 1:14:12SPEAKER_05: Yeah.
- 1:14:13SPEAKER_05: That is a good game.
- 1:14:14SPEAKER_04: Rubbish game! I don't know why you recommended it.
- 1:14:17SPEAKER_05: And you just you're just a monkey you're you're a monkey in a ball.
- 1:14:21SPEAKER_05: No, it's an excellent game, man.
- 1:14:22SPEAKER_04: What are you talking about?
- 1:14:23SPEAKER_04: Absolute rubbish.
- 1:14:24SPEAKER_04: Music was shit.
- 1:14:25SPEAKER_04: Look of it was shit.
- 1:14:26SPEAKER_04: The look of it was.
- 1:14:27SPEAKER_04: All you do is roll a ball into a goal.
- 1:14:29SPEAKER_04: What the fuck is that?
- 1:14:30SPEAKER_04: That's not a game.
- 1:14:31SPEAKER_04: I'm joking, I loved it.
- 1:14:33SPEAKER_04: Um it's a well good game.
- 1:14:34SPEAKER_04: No, I was just trying to rage bait you, but uh I did I loved it.
- 1:14:37SPEAKER_05: It's it's one of the it's the it's the best in the series uh since the first one.
- 1:14:42SPEAKER_05: The first one's the best, obviously.
- 1:14:44SPEAKER_04: No, no, look, and I'll tell you what, I'll tell you I will say look, monkey ball, for those that don't know, is a game about a monkey in a ball, you rot and you rotate the stage to get into a goal.
- 1:14:53SPEAKER_04: Old arcade game that famously had a uh analog controls, and also the uh way that you controlled it was with a stick shaped like a banana.
- 1:15:03SPEAKER_04: Yeah, uh I'll tell you why this game is worth getting if you see it on sale, because I got it for a fiver, and it's it has all the monkey ball one and two levels in it.
- 1:15:13SPEAKER_04: That was the only thing I was interested in.
- 1:15:15SPEAKER_04: And uh they're all unlocked from the start.
- 1:15:17SPEAKER_04: You can go in and just try and get better times.
- 1:15:19SPEAKER_04: And there is a story mode and new levels and shit, but uh I think that the first two are classics that can't be beaten, and this is just that, but playable on Steam.
- 1:15:29SPEAKER_05: So I was just like for a fiver, why not?
- 1:15:33SPEAKER_05: And it it's yeah, I saw I played it's not like it doesn't control as good as the original, but it's I think it's close though.
- 1:15:40SPEAKER_05: It's very close, yeah.
- 1:15:42SPEAKER_04: And the levels are fucking great.
- 1:15:43SPEAKER_04: Uh played it with my son, he got bored of it very quickly.
- 1:15:46SPEAKER_04: It was just weird, man.
- 1:15:47SPEAKER_04: I was like, I and and uh this is this made me worried uh because it reminded me of you.
- 1:15:52SPEAKER_04: Um we were walking home and he said he said to me, Papa, can we play a monkey game?
- 1:15:56SPEAKER_04: He just wanted to play a game with a monkey in it.
- 1:15:58SPEAKER_04: So I was like, Sean loves monkey games.
- 1:16:00SPEAKER_04: I hope if he's anything like you, that'd be great.
- 1:16:03SPEAKER_05: I'm going to lower cheer God on his ass.
- 1:16:05SPEAKER_05: That's it.
- 1:16:05SPEAKER_05: I'm pretending he doesn't exist.
- 1:16:06SPEAKER_05: We're closer to heaven in that sense.
- 1:16:08SPEAKER_04: We are not.
- 1:16:09SPEAKER_04: Um, but yeah, he said he wanted to play a monkey game, so I downloaded that.
- 1:16:12SPEAKER_04: He said he didn't like it, so we're gonna play Ape Escape next.
- 1:16:15SPEAKER_05: Nice, yeah, yeah.
- 1:16:16SPEAKER_04: He'll love that.
- 1:16:17SPEAKER_04: He said he liked the noises the monkeys made, so we'll play.
- 1:16:19SPEAKER_05: Oh, me too, yeah.
- 1:16:21SPEAKER_04: Yeah, what is wrong with you, man?
- 1:16:23SPEAKER_04: What is wrong?
- 1:16:24SPEAKER_04: Why do you like monkey games so much?
- 1:16:27SPEAKER_05: I mean, like you can't go wrong with a monkey game, innit?
- 1:16:29SPEAKER_05: I mean, they got monkeys in.
- 1:16:31SPEAKER_04: I am actually racking my brain trying to think of a bad monkey game.
- 1:16:34SPEAKER_05: Exactly.
- 1:16:35SPEAKER_05: Uh King Kong doesn't really count, does it?
- 1:16:37SPEAKER_05: That's more of an ape game.
- 1:16:39SPEAKER_04: And to be fair, one of the most unintentionally funny games ever made.
- 1:16:43SPEAKER_05: Yeah.
- 1:16:44SPEAKER_04: So there is that.
- 1:16:45SPEAKER_05: But no, there's no there's no bad monkey games at all, really.
- 1:16:48SPEAKER_04: King Kong does count, it's about a large monkey.
- 1:16:50SPEAKER_04: Anyway, um, that is it for what we've been playing.
- 1:16:53SPEAKER_04: Shall we uh go on to our items?
- 1:17:01SPEAKER_04: It's hurting me, it's actually hurting.
- 1:17:03SPEAKER_04: So this is Going Wild, and we're doing Alex Jones 2 Turbo the game.
- 1:17:07SPEAKER_04: Um, so what I've done is I've I've given Sean a little soundboard here.
- 1:17:12SPEAKER_04: You don't need to say anything, um, but they all have the Alex Jones quotes on them.
- 1:17:18SPEAKER_04: And you need to use these Alex Jones quotes to describe every character in um Super Street Fighter 2 Turbo.
- 1:17:25SPEAKER_05: Okay?
- 1:17:26SPEAKER_03: Okay, so first of all, we'll start with Ball Balrog, Boxer, Retard, Blanker, Vampire, Cami, Traitor, Chun Li, Patriot, DJ, National Delson, E Honda, Retard, Feelong, A Scared Man, Guile, Patriot, Ken.
- 1:17:47SPEAKER_03: Moses, M.
- 1:17:49SPEAKER_03: Bison, Next Lowell, Ryu, Retard, Zagat.
- 1:17:55SPEAKER_07: Traitor, Thawk, Nationalist, Vega, Eugenicist, Zangief.
- 1:18:03SPEAKER_03: Metal Retard.
- 1:18:04SPEAKER_04: Okay, that was it.
- 1:18:05SPEAKER_04: Um good good ratings.
- 1:18:07SPEAKER_04: I'm surprised you I I feel like uh a vampire for Blanco is pretty good, but I really thought you were gonna go with a scared man.
- 1:18:14SPEAKER_05: Um eugenicist would have been good for bison as well.
- 1:18:17SPEAKER_04: Yeah, that's yeah, I I really thought that was the one you were gonna pick.
- 1:18:19SPEAKER_04: Yeah.
- 1:18:20SPEAKER_04: He actually is a eugenicist.
- 1:18:22SPEAKER_04: Alright, that was uh Super Alex Jones Turbo.
- 1:18:26SPEAKER_07: Metal Retard.
- 1:18:27SPEAKER_04: Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah.
- 1:18:34SPEAKER_04: Right, Sean.
- 1:18:35SPEAKER_04: So I've I've picked um uh let's go on to Sean's item now.
- 1:18:38SPEAKER_05: Alright, so I I've I've got out of two, so I think I'm gonna go with uh I think I'm gonna go with the uh GTA 6 discussion, to be honest.
- 1:18:46SPEAKER_04: Alright, GTA 6 discussion.
- 1:18:48SPEAKER_05: So we're gonna have a quick discussion um based on uh current events, um such as the trailer being put behind a paywall and that.
- 1:18:58SPEAKER_04: Yeah, that is mental.
- 1:19:00SPEAKER_05: Um so yeah, you have to have a Netflix subscription to watch a full trailer.
- 1:19:05SPEAKER_04: Well, it was an extended look, wasn't it?
- 1:19:07SPEAKER_04: Yeah.
- 1:19:08SPEAKER_04: Have you watched it?
- 1:19:09SPEAKER_05: Um no.
- 1:19:10SPEAKER_04: So it's hard to have an opinion on it then, because it might be really good.
- 1:19:13SPEAKER_04: Yeah, I mean, but um But having to pay for a fucking trailer is mental, right?
- 1:19:18SPEAKER_05: So the game hasn't even been released, and they're already trying to gouge.
- 1:19:21SPEAKER_04: Ah, but it might be though, because of the hacker.
- 1:19:23SPEAKER_04: Oh yeah, yeah.
- 1:19:24SPEAKER_04: Cyberleak man, what a fucking legend.
- 1:19:26SPEAKER_04: Do you know, do you know, like what I love about this is that he he has said, like, he's so this guy's hacked uh Rockstar, he's got a full playable build of the game, and he has uh said that basically, unless he's made a list of demands, and it's like don't you know how like a lot of games nowadays they'll cut, they'll make a full game, then cut content and put it as DLC, right?
- 1:19:49SPEAKER_04: Just cut content out of the single player game.
- 1:19:51SPEAKER_04: He said, Don't do that.
- 1:19:52SPEAKER_04: Um, don't gate the single player content behind being online and a bunch of other stuff.
- 1:19:58SPEAKER_04: And he says if they don't meet the demands, uh he's gonna he's gonna release the game, right?
- 1:20:03SPEAKER_05: So some people theorise that there's some marketing uh ploy by Rockstar.
- 1:20:07SPEAKER_04: Oh, it might be actually.
- 1:20:09SPEAKER_04: But one of the things is also he's got a dead man's switch, so that if that he needs to be at his computer like every eight hours, and if he's if if he doesn't press this button, the game gets released.
- 1:20:20SPEAKER_04: This is to avoid Rockstar sending any police to arrest him because if they do, the game's getting released.
- 1:20:26SPEAKER_04: Now, Rockstar basically they came out and they said about him uh he's talking a bunch of rubbish, he hasn't got the game.
- 1:20:33SPEAKER_04: So the guy then streamed the game eight hours a day on Twitch and uh streamed himself completing it.
- 1:20:39SPEAKER_04: So he has got a full build of the game, and you can go and watch the entire thing if you want to.
- 1:20:43SPEAKER_04: Um, to be honest, I I think the guy's uh just a heroic guy.
- 1:20:48SPEAKER_05: Yeah, I mean I like him.
- 1:20:49SPEAKER_05: He said he's gonna put his thoughts up online about the game as well.
- 1:20:53SPEAKER_04: He did, he did.
- 1:20:53SPEAKER_04: He he he posted a picture of the end screen and said finished it nine out of ten.
- 1:20:58SPEAKER_04: Okay, like the game.
- 1:20:59SPEAKER_05: Nine out of ten.
- 1:21:00SPEAKER_04: But but to be honest, the this is in response to the game now costing what 100 quid?
- 1:21:05SPEAKER_04: Yeah, uh 120 for um the special edition, which is just a box with a code in it.
- 1:21:11SPEAKER_04: Another thing that he was sort of clapping back against was the fact that it doesn't have a physical edition.
- 1:21:17SPEAKER_04: And I know that PS5 are stopping physical editions, but it's not yet, is it?
- 1:21:21SPEAKER_04: So Rockstar could give give you a disc if they wanted to, they're just not going to, right?
- 1:21:26SPEAKER_04: And let's be honest, right?
- 1:21:27SPEAKER_04: So now all of these companies, and Sony included in that, are only giving things digitally, and they're saying that if you buy it, you don't own it.
- 1:21:37SPEAKER_04: So the natural response, and I know people are probably sick of this, is if buying isn't owning, stealing, uh pirating isn't stealing.
- 1:21:44SPEAKER_05: Yeah, exactly.
- 1:21:45SPEAKER_05: Um, and like charging a hundred quid for for nothing is you know Yeah, you know, you don't own the game.
- 1:21:52SPEAKER_04: Well, if yeah, technically, technically you are paying uh to own a license to play the game, right?
- 1:22:00SPEAKER_04: So it's not for nothing, but charging that amount for a video game is outrageous.
- 1:22:04SPEAKER_04: And you could like uh there's a guy at uh at uni who go who goes on about and he's like, yeah, but they spent two billion making it.
- 1:22:12SPEAKER_04: They had to charge that amount.
- 1:22:13SPEAKER_04: No, they didn't.
- 1:22:15SPEAKER_04: They'll make it back if they charged a reasonable amount, they'd make it back if they charged 30 pounds for the fucking game.
- 1:22:20SPEAKER_05: They'll make it back in a dame, exactly.
- 1:22:22SPEAKER_04: So the it's it's predatory and it's shit.
- 1:22:25SPEAKER_04: They know that people will buy it.
- 1:22:26SPEAKER_04: I I and and like I would be tempted to buy it if I had a PS5, but for a hundred quid probably not.
- 1:22:32SPEAKER_04: But it's like I I I just think that like they they have if you're saying now, and I'm not just speaking about this guy, because I've seen that sentiment everywhere, but if you're saying, but they spent so much to make it, it's gonna be the best experience ever, it's gonna be an amazing game, it probably will be all of those things.
- 1:22:49SPEAKER_04: But that's you've you've bought in to the bullshit they're spinning to you if you're talking like that, and that is nonsense.
- 1:22:57SPEAKER_04: Nothing, no game should cost that amount of money.
- 1:23:00SPEAKER_05: Yeah, and it's sort of uh sort of why I won't be buying the game.
- 1:23:05SPEAKER_04: Well that and there is one big other reason.
- 1:23:07SPEAKER_04: Yeah.
- 1:23:08SPEAKER_04: It's not coming to PC.
- 1:23:09SPEAKER_05: Oh, uh well, I mean it's so it's not that you wouldn't buy the game, it's that you couldn't buy the game.
- 1:23:15SPEAKER_05: It's not coming to PC at all.
- 1:23:17SPEAKER_04: No, no, it will, but I think it's gonna be a year later.
- 1:23:19SPEAKER_04: Okay.
- 1:23:19SPEAKER_04: Right.
- 1:23:20SPEAKER_04: And by then everything's gonna be spoiled for me, but like because one of the things I I enjoyed about GTA 5, and and I I am a bit of a twat in that my favourite ones one was GTA 2, but um Yeah, it's a good game I love that game.
- 1:23:34SPEAKER_04: Yeah, excellent game.
- 1:23:35SPEAKER_04: But look, I like I loved GTA 5 because I did it at the time when it came out for the PlayStation 3, um I I got it and I loved it, and uh I got to experience the story alongside everyone else that was experiencing it at the same time.
- 1:23:50SPEAKER_04: I didn't have anything spoiled for me, this and the other, and now so many moments from that game have become memes to the point where there's gonna be moments all over the shop from that game that are spoiled by the time us PC players get to play it, yeah.
- 1:24:03SPEAKER_04: And that's a bit sad as well.
- 1:24:05SPEAKER_05: Definitely, yeah.
- 1:24:06SPEAKER_04: Um, and also you know it's gonna be like like Red Dead Redemption 2 is an excellent game.
- 1:24:10SPEAKER_04: I've wanted to replay it on PC because I I could play it in a better resolution, the game looks way nicer and would run at a higher frame rate, right?
- 1:24:19SPEAKER_04: Um but it's one of those because it's because it's Rockstar, because it's Red Dead Redemption 2, it never goes on sale for anything less than 30 quid.
- 1:24:26SPEAKER_04: You know what I mean?
- 1:24:27SPEAKER_04: Yeah, no, so reasonably then, if it's only ever 20 pounds off from that game, and then you look at GTA 6 at 100 quid, what's it gonna be when it's on sale?
- 1:24:37SPEAKER_04: It's still not going to be affordable for most people.
- 1:24:40SPEAKER_05: Well to justify it as well by like a year later releasing it full price on PC, so then the price will never go down.
- 1:24:48SPEAKER_04: Yeah, so when it comes out a year later, instead of like us being able to find it in any fucking CEX and buying it secondhand, which is another reason they didn't want to do a physical edition, um, instead of doing that, we have to then pay full price on PC to play it.
- 1:25:03SPEAKER_04: And I I would just say this, and I would never ever condone piracy, and you should never do it.
- 1:25:07SPEAKER_04: You should pay developers, but um well, you know what I mean, you know what I mean?
- 1:25:12SPEAKER_05: Well well we shouldn't really take two, they suck.
- 1:25:16SPEAKER_04: They do suck, and and but the trouble is it's probably gonna be quite good.
- 1:25:21SPEAKER_05: Yeah, I mean it will be.
- 1:25:22SPEAKER_04: I mean that's the unfortunate thing, is it's gonna be fucking amazing.
- 1:25:26SPEAKER_04: Um I tell you what though, it's quite funny.
- 1:25:29SPEAKER_04: We were talking about it on the uni group, right?
- 1:25:31SPEAKER_04: And that guy who's a big rock star stan, like we we were talking about and it was sort of like GTA 6, 5, when did that come out?
- 1:25:38SPEAKER_04: Like 2012 or something?
- 1:25:39SPEAKER_04: Like fucking ages ago.
- 1:25:42SPEAKER_04: There is no way the amount of development time could possibly uh live up to the hype.
- 1:25:48SPEAKER_04: GTA 6 will be will probably be an excellent game, but there's no way it's gonna be a 15-year development time good game.
- 1:25:55SPEAKER_05: There's no there's there's no way it was actually developed for 15 years, though.
- 1:26:00SPEAKER_04: No, because they've been working on GTA online, right?
- 1:26:02SPEAKER_04: Yeah, but a game with that big a build-up could never meet the hype.
- 1:26:06SPEAKER_04: It'll probably be really good, but it's like imagine waiting that long for the next instalment in a series.
- 1:26:12SPEAKER_04: It would by like I want the game to like, I don't know, suck me off or something.
- 1:26:15SPEAKER_04: Like that, that's how good it would need to be.
- 1:26:17SPEAKER_04: You know what I mean?
- 1:26:18SPEAKER_04: Like life-changing, and it won't be.
- 1:26:20SPEAKER_04: And yet, you know, I've paid I've paid like eight quid for some games that have felt life-changing, and I don't think GTA 6 is gonna be that, it'd just be a very good GTA game.
- 1:26:29SPEAKER_05: It would be really good, yeah.
- 1:26:31SPEAKER_04: Yeah, but uh, so you're not getting it because you don't have a PS5.
- 1:26:35SPEAKER_04: I'm not getting it because I don't have a PS5.
- 1:26:37SPEAKER_05: That's it, really.
- 1:26:38SPEAKER_04: End of discussion.
- 1:26:39SPEAKER_04: Um cool.
- 1:26:40SPEAKER_04: Yeah, good discussion, though.
- 1:26:41SPEAKER_04: Good, yeah, that's right.
- 1:26:43SPEAKER_04: Uh right, let's go on to the mail.
- 1:26:53unknown: Here we go.
- 1:26:59SPEAKER_04: Right, I asked the listeners, it's your birthday, and you have to invite three video game characters to your party.
- 1:27:05SPEAKER_04: Who do you invite and why?
- 1:27:07SPEAKER_04: And the reason I asked this question is because um it's my birthday soon.
- 1:27:11SPEAKER_04: So, Sean, you got me anything nice?
- 1:27:13SPEAKER_05: Um, well, I mean, I did get you a trip to Birmingham, so not really.
- 1:27:18SPEAKER_04: What you got me a trip to a city I hate?
- 1:27:21SPEAKER_04: No, that was the best time of my life.
- 1:27:24SPEAKER_04: So thanks.
- 1:27:25SPEAKER_04: Um right, so it's your birthday, you have to invite three video game characters to your party.
- 1:27:29SPEAKER_04: Who do you invite and why?
- 1:27:30SPEAKER_04: Carti.
- 1:27:31SPEAKER_04: He says spyro to light the candles, Scrooge McDuck to give me a small loan of one million dollars, and Solid Snake to blow my nan up with C4 if she gets me a shit present.
- 1:27:41SPEAKER_05: Well, I mean, your nan's getting blown up, and I cause it.
- 1:27:45SPEAKER_04: She's got a track record of doing so.
- 1:27:47SPEAKER_04: She got you socks.
- 1:27:49SPEAKER_04: Yeah, um that's a very, very good answer.
- 1:27:51SPEAKER_04: Um I like that none of it goes none of his thought process was in like I who I want to hang out with these people, which was sort of what I was gunning for there.
- 1:28:00SPEAKER_04: But he he j he just wants to blow his nan up.
- 1:28:03SPEAKER_05: He just wants function.
- 1:28:05SPEAKER_04: He wants a million dollars, he wants a lift to his own house, presumably, where it's happening, and he wants to blow his nan up.
- 1:28:11SPEAKER_04: And let's be honest, if it was your birthday, like most people get you get a cake, you blow out the candles, you know, we've all done it before, but have you seen your nan explode up the wall?
- 1:28:21SPEAKER_05: No, not yet.
- 1:28:22SPEAKER_05: Not yet.
- 1:28:22SPEAKER_04: Not yet, but here's the hoping.
- 1:28:24SPEAKER_04: Maybe one day.
- 1:28:26SPEAKER_04: One day.
- 1:28:27SPEAKER_04: Dr.
- 1:28:27SPEAKER_04: Mumson, he says Doomguy, Quake One Guy, and Yoshi.
- 1:28:32SPEAKER_04: Doomguy and the Quake Guy, because neither of them talk much, so there's basically zero risk of awkward birthday small talk.
- 1:28:38SPEAKER_04: They'll also take care of any demons, eldritch horrors, or other unexpected party crashes.
- 1:28:42SPEAKER_04: Yoshi is there to stop the whole thing becoming unbearably grim.
- 1:28:46SPEAKER_04: He's cheerful, eats absolutely anything, and can probably handle the leftover cake.
- 1:28:50SPEAKER_04: So that's good.
- 1:28:52SPEAKER_04: He's thought about it.
- 1:28:52SPEAKER_04: Yoshi's cleaning up.
- 1:28:54SPEAKER_04: Yoshi's a bin.
- 1:28:55SPEAKER_04: Yoshi, he's he has hired a bin to come to his birthday party.
- 1:28:59SPEAKER_04: That said though, he reckons Doom Guy and Quake Guy are gonna take care of like, okay, monster's coming to your birthday party, fair enough.
- 1:29:06SPEAKER_04: But he he said any other party crashes.
- 1:29:08SPEAKER_04: How popular does it like Mumsen?
- 1:29:10SPEAKER_04: No offence, mate, but you you play video games.
- 1:29:12SPEAKER_04: You don't go outside.
- 1:29:13SPEAKER_04: Who's coming to your who's crashing your party thinking they're gonna have a good time?
- 1:29:17SPEAKER_04: Um no offence.
- 1:29:18SPEAKER_04: Well, no.
- 1:29:19SPEAKER_04: I said no offence, so you can't be offended by it.
- 1:29:21SPEAKER_05: Yeah, yeah.
- 1:29:21SPEAKER_05: I mean, with all due respect.
- 1:29:23SPEAKER_04: With all due respect, you are a fucking idiot.
- 1:29:27SPEAKER_04: Um no, but seriously, uh seriously, you uh go outside there.
- 1:29:31SPEAKER_05: Yeah, seriously get a fucking life dude.
- 1:29:37SPEAKER_04: Um I do like the idea of inviting people to your party that aren't gonna speak though.
- 1:29:41SPEAKER_04: That that that really I'd like that.
- 1:29:44SPEAKER_04: Listeners may not know this, but um I talk a lot on here because that's the entire point of a podcast, but I don't like fucking speaking to people.
- 1:29:51SPEAKER_04: The only person I ever speak to is you and my wife, and that's it.
- 1:29:53SPEAKER_05: That's true, yeah.
- 1:29:54SPEAKER_05: I mean, um, yeah, so he's got a good point there.
- 1:29:57SPEAKER_04: Um But you know how you've seen Doomguy try to open a door in the most recent Doom games, right?
- 1:30:02SPEAKER_04: He see he sees he sees a lock, he just punches it.
- 1:30:04SPEAKER_04: What do you think he's gonna do to your birthday presents and cake?
- 1:30:07SPEAKER_04: Um, Doomguy, can you light these candles?
- 1:30:09SPEAKER_04: He's fucking gonna headbutt the fucking cake.
- 1:30:11SPEAKER_05: Well, maybe maybe it's best to hire a hall or something like a hall?
- 1:30:15SPEAKER_05: Yeah, just to light.
- 1:30:16SPEAKER_05: Oh, a hall.
- 1:30:17SPEAKER_05: Yeah, yeah.
- 1:30:18SPEAKER_04: Yes, yes, like a place to go and have your birthday party.
- 1:30:20SPEAKER_04: So well, Yoshi's gonna clean up the mess anyway.
- 1:30:22SPEAKER_05: Yeah.
- 1:30:23SPEAKER_04: So so we got it all sorted.
- 1:30:25SPEAKER_04: Ace, he's a he's a simple man.
- 1:30:27SPEAKER_04: Uh he says Chun Lee, Adam Hunter, Lara Croft.
- 1:30:30SPEAKER_04: Now I happen to know that Ace is he's one of those half gays.
- 1:30:33SPEAKER_04: He's a bisexual man.
- 1:30:35SPEAKER_04: Um so he's just picked three people he fancies, and that's that.
- 1:30:38SPEAKER_05: Okay, Adam Hunter though.
- 1:30:39SPEAKER_05: Um from Streets of Rage.
- 1:30:42SPEAKER_05: What's wrong with him?
- 1:30:43SPEAKER_05: I mean, he's good, he's he's probably I'd say the best Streets of Rage character.
- 1:30:48SPEAKER_05: Yeah, he's like I suppose you like what you like, innit?
- 1:30:51SPEAKER_04: Yeah, no, but he has chosen Chun Lee, Adam Hunter, and Lara Croft because he fancies them, right?
- 1:30:56SPEAKER_04: So what are you saying?
- 1:30:56SPEAKER_04: What's wrong with Adam Hunter?
- 1:30:57SPEAKER_05: Nothing really.
- 1:30:58SPEAKER_05: I've just never heard anyone say they fancy Adam Hunter.
- 1:31:01SPEAKER_04: Right, but would like objectively, would you say he's good looking?
- 1:31:04SPEAKER_05: Well, I suppose everyone in that Oh that's a bit gay.
- 1:31:07SPEAKER_05: Everyone has to.
- 1:31:08SPEAKER_04: Oh, he's it oh I love it.
- 1:31:10SPEAKER_04: He's a bit good looking.
- 1:31:10SPEAKER_05: There's not really any ugly people in that game, really, to be honest.
- 1:31:16SPEAKER_05: Um The Kangaroo?
- 1:31:18SPEAKER_05: Oh, Rue, yeah, but it's a sort of secret character, that's of the Well, fair enough then.
- 1:31:22SPEAKER_05: It's not part of the police force.
- 1:31:24SPEAKER_04: So he anyway, do you rate his picks?
- 1:31:27SPEAKER_05: Yeah, yeah.
- 1:31:28SPEAKER_05: I'm not too.
- 1:31:29SPEAKER_05: Good picks.
- 1:31:30SPEAKER_04: Kill Defences.
- 1:31:31SPEAKER_04: He says Pan Am from Cyberpunk 2077.
- 1:31:34SPEAKER_04: She was my nomad desert rat girlfriend in the game and was cool.
- 1:31:37SPEAKER_04: Sean Devlin from the Saboteur, because he seems like he'd be a good hang.
- 1:31:41SPEAKER_04: We could blow things up after and I like the Irish.
- 1:31:44SPEAKER_04: And Tifa because Tifa.
- 1:31:45SPEAKER_04: I've seen I'm noticing a theme here.
- 1:31:47SPEAKER_04: Gamers.
- 1:31:48SPEAKER_04: They like tits.
- 1:31:49SPEAKER_04: Yeah, lagooners.
- 1:31:50SPEAKER_04: Lagoon content.
- 1:31:52SPEAKER_04: But Pan Am, to be honest, I felt the same way about her, kill defences, so fair enough, right?
- 1:31:57SPEAKER_04: She's an attractive lady.
- 1:31:58SPEAKER_05: Yeah, I mean, I suppose so, yeah.
- 1:32:00SPEAKER_04: I don't know who Sean Devlin is, but I think he's probably an attractive lady too.
- 1:32:03SPEAKER_04: And Tifa let's go.
- 1:32:06SPEAKER_04: Tifa.
- 1:32:08SPEAKER_04: Um fucking Northern.
- 1:32:10SPEAKER_04: He says, Gus from Crazy Taxi to drive me to the party.
- 1:32:13SPEAKER_04: Now we're talking.
- 1:32:14SPEAKER_04: Mr.
- 1:32:14SPEAKER_04: Game and Watch to Cut the Cake, and Nick Cage for a celebrity guest.
- 1:32:17SPEAKER_04: They put him in Dead by Daylight, so he counts now.
- 1:32:20SPEAKER_04: He's got a technicality there.
- 1:32:21SPEAKER_05: He does.
- 1:32:21SPEAKER_05: And also, um he's uh they had a um game based on that vampire film that he was in.
- 1:32:32SPEAKER_05: So they did, didn't they?
- 1:32:33SPEAKER_05: Yeah, yeah.
- 1:32:34SPEAKER_04: So he's you could have two Nick Cages if you wanted at the party.
- 1:32:37SPEAKER_04: I think that's a great answer, especially because of the crazy taxi one.
- 1:32:40SPEAKER_04: You know, like for a lot of people, the party starts when you're in the car going to the thing, isn't it?
- 1:32:45SPEAKER_04: Yeah.
- 1:32:45SPEAKER_04: Have a few drinks in the back of a cab, that's a good time.
- 1:32:48SPEAKER_04: Some of the best times I've ever had were in the back of a cab, having drinks, doing piles of uh crisps.
- 1:32:55SPEAKER_05: But I guess it's like an inspired choice, because he he's got Hawaiian chair and have you ever You ever met an unfun person wearing one of those?
- 1:33:03SPEAKER_05: Yeah, exactly.
- 1:33:04SPEAKER_04: I mean, there is that guy that around Red Hill where we live, who everyone suspects is a nonce and he wears one.
- 1:33:11SPEAKER_04: But that makes him seem more approachable.
- 1:33:13SPEAKER_05: Yeah, that no, that's true.
- 1:33:14SPEAKER_04: So could is there or is there a possibility that Gus is a paedophile?
- 1:33:18SPEAKER_05: No, not really.
- 1:33:19SPEAKER_04: Get in the back of my cab, he says.
- 1:33:21SPEAKER_04: I've got a Hawaiian shirt, trust me, there's puppies in the back.
- 1:33:24SPEAKER_05: He's a hero, nobody's getting anywhere without him, you know.
- 1:33:27SPEAKER_04: That's fair.
- 1:33:27SPEAKER_04: Uh Game of Watch to cut the cake as well.
- 1:33:30SPEAKER_04: A bit of a poor choice there because he does do sort of a lot of random shit.
- 1:33:33SPEAKER_04: He throws bacon, he throws random items.
- 1:33:36SPEAKER_04: If he's cutting the cake, it's gonna be he's gonna make an absolute fucking mess of it.
- 1:33:40SPEAKER_05: Yeah, I mean, I'd yeah, I guess so, but he he was a handyman once, so you know.
- 1:33:45SPEAKER_04: What do you mean?
- 1:33:46SPEAKER_05: Like in in one of the games he was a handyman, so yeah.
- 1:33:50SPEAKER_04: That's true, that's true, so you know, good pick.
- 1:33:52SPEAKER_04: And Nick Cage, I feel like all you need to do is tweet a picture with him, but suddenly you're world famous, maybe.
- 1:33:58SPEAKER_04: I don't know how it works.
- 1:34:00SPEAKER_05: He could play uh with his band Nick Cage Against the Machine at the party, so I wish that was real.
- 1:34:08SPEAKER_05: It is real.
- 1:34:09SPEAKER_05: It's not fucking real.
- 1:34:12SPEAKER_04: Sean Nick Cage.
- 1:34:13SPEAKER_04: No, no, no, no, no, no.
- 1:34:14SPEAKER_05: It was Nick Cage against the machine.
- 1:34:16SPEAKER_05: Right.
- 1:34:17SPEAKER_04: What you have there is a tribute band with a man that looks like Nick Cage.
- 1:34:20SPEAKER_04: Nick Cage did not play in a band called Nick Cage Against the Machine in Brighton, Sean.
- 1:34:25SPEAKER_05: That sucks.
- 1:34:26SPEAKER_05: I mean, you'd want Nick Cage there, really.
- 1:34:28SPEAKER_04: Do you think that band Oakally Dokally is is like that's actually Ned Flanders?
- 1:34:32SPEAKER_05: Well, several of them.
- 1:34:33SPEAKER_04: Yeah.
- 1:34:34SPEAKER_05: Yeah.
- 1:34:35SPEAKER_04: Well, I don't know, it's as much a reach as thinking that Nick Cage played in the band.
- 1:34:39SPEAKER_04: Do you think are you thinking of Nick Cave and the bad seeds?
- 1:34:42SPEAKER_05: No, no, I was just thinking of Nick Cage.
- 1:34:44SPEAKER_05: You know, that guy would do anything, really.
- 1:34:46SPEAKER_05: I mean, you know, he front like he does front flips and shit.
- 1:34:50SPEAKER_04: Wow.
- 1:34:51SPEAKER_04: That's really cool, man.
- 1:34:53SPEAKER_04: Right, so you got three guests to come to your party, who they're gonna be?
- 1:34:57SPEAKER_05: Uh well, I mean, I don't know really.
- 1:35:00SPEAKER_05: I mean, I'd probably say uh I'd probably say Dizzy the egg.
- 1:35:06SPEAKER_05: Um, Crash Bandicoot's probably right.
- 1:35:10SPEAKER_04: Why would now just put put run that one past me?
- 1:35:13SPEAKER_04: Why because I I suspect you haven't thought about this one bit.
- 1:35:16SPEAKER_04: Why Dizzy the I haven't?
- 1:35:17SPEAKER_04: Why Dizzy the Egg?
- 1:35:19SPEAKER_04: Why Dizzy the Egg?
- 1:35:20SPEAKER_05: Why Dizzy the Egg?
- 1:35:21SPEAKER_05: You put me on the spot.
- 1:35:22SPEAKER_05: Why Dizzy the Egg?
- 1:35:23SPEAKER_05: Uh well we could have a last scavenger hunt.
- 1:35:26SPEAKER_04: That's the shittiest thing you've ever said.
- 1:35:32SPEAKER_05: It's not my job, is it?
- 1:35:33SPEAKER_05: You put me on the spot.
- 1:35:34SPEAKER_04: How did I put you on the fucking spot?
- 1:35:36SPEAKER_04: You looked at this plan.
- 1:35:37SPEAKER_05: Yeah, I did, but what's your answer then?
- 1:35:39SPEAKER_04: Um I would go with Bayonetta.
- 1:35:42SPEAKER_05: Yeah.
- 1:35:42SPEAKER_04: I'd go Chun Lee.
- 1:35:44SPEAKER_05: Alright, yeah.
- 1:35:45SPEAKER_04: And I'd go with Mia Faye.
- 1:35:48SPEAKER_05: There's not really any characters I'd really want to hang out with, hang out with, really.
- 1:35:52SPEAKER_04: Well, I'd I I'd put those three at my I was finishing my fucking answer.
- 1:35:55SPEAKER_05: Maybe Wario and Wallau, man.
- 1:35:57SPEAKER_05: Wario and Waluigi would be cool.
- 1:35:59SPEAKER_05: Can I finish my fucking answer?
- 1:36:00SPEAKER_05: Have a rat and day.
- 1:36:02SPEAKER_05: Um God.
- 1:36:02SPEAKER_04: Is that we one?
- 1:36:04SPEAKER_04: Right, so I'd have Bayonetta, Chan Lee, Mia Faye.
- 1:36:08SPEAKER_04: And I tell you why.
- 1:36:08unknown: Right.
- 1:36:09SPEAKER_05: They're gone.
- 1:36:10SPEAKER_04: Um Bayonetta.
- 1:36:11SPEAKER_05: Yeah.
- 1:36:12SPEAKER_04: Because she's got huge tits, man.
- 1:36:14SPEAKER_04: No, no, it would be her so I could have a theological debate with her.
- 1:36:17SPEAKER_04: I'd have Chan Lee so I could learn about fighting techniques.
- 1:36:21SPEAKER_04: And then with uh Mia Faye, we'd um talk about interesting cases she's worked on.
- 1:36:27SPEAKER_05: Okay, yeah.
- 1:36:28SPEAKER_04: And they've all got big thighs and huge tits.
- 1:36:31SPEAKER_05: Yeah, they have.
- 1:36:31SPEAKER_05: Uh to be fair.
- 1:36:32SPEAKER_04: That's not why I've invited them.
- 1:36:33SPEAKER_04: Um why are you saying that?
- 1:36:35SPEAKER_04: I'm not saying that.
- 1:36:36SPEAKER_04: Well, I'll probably invite No, no, let's go with the original one, so because you've thought about it.
- 1:36:40SPEAKER_04: You want if wow you want Waluigi?
- 1:36:43SPEAKER_05: Wario.
- 1:36:44SPEAKER_05: And also Peach can make my cake, yeah.
- 1:36:46SPEAKER_04: So you've invited two definite perverts.
- 1:36:49SPEAKER_04: I don't mean uh No, actually I changed me a faith for Peach, and I tell you why.
- 1:36:53SPEAKER_04: It's so that um she could fund it.
- 1:36:56SPEAKER_04: But so you've gone for do two definite perverts and a vulnerable woman.
- 1:37:00SPEAKER_05: I don't know.
- 1:37:00SPEAKER_04: Right, that's gonna be a fun party, isn't it?
- 1:37:02SPEAKER_05: Well, I don't think they're perverts.
- 1:37:04SPEAKER_04: They absolutely have you seen Wario and Waluigi, they absolutely are.
- 1:37:08SPEAKER_04: Well, I mean there was that meme going around before it was like Waluigi's panty raid being a game, like, and everyone was like, that's a good idea.
- 1:37:16SPEAKER_04: Like, it really suits the character.
- 1:37:17SPEAKER_05: Yeah, it does, yeah.
- 1:37:18SPEAKER_05: So you want Waluigi to come in and they just seem like the most normal guys I could think of.
- 1:37:23SPEAKER_04: Are you joking?
- 1:37:25SPEAKER_04: That so out of all the video and game characters, you of all the games you've ever played, Wario and Waluigi seem like the most normal, chill guys, do they?
- 1:37:34SPEAKER_05: I suppose.
- 1:37:35SPEAKER_05: Um, maybe Lee from Walking Dead, I guess, but he's not really he's dead now, so that sucks.
- 1:37:42SPEAKER_04: Spoiler!
- 1:37:43SPEAKER_05: Oh sorry.
- 1:37:44SPEAKER_04: Right, so you just want normal people to come.
- 1:37:47unknown: Yeah.
- 1:37:47SPEAKER_04: So you've invited a really boring character from Walking Dead, and then two two definite sex criminals.
- 1:37:54SPEAKER_05: Well, if they're if they are sex criminals, I probably wouldn't want to Then I'd ask them for techniques.
- 1:37:58SPEAKER_05: I'd probably ask them to leave really politely.
- 1:38:01SPEAKER_05: Politely, yeah.
- 1:38:02SPEAKER_04: Well Luigi, uh you've been you've been touching up the guests.
- 1:38:06SPEAKER_04: Yeah, Princess Peach is crying.
- 1:38:08SPEAKER_05: Some people think what he just leaves.
- 1:38:13SPEAKER_05: Yeah.
- 1:38:14SPEAKER_04: Um sounds like a fun birthday.
- 1:38:16SPEAKER_05: Um not really, not really.
- 1:38:17SPEAKER_04: Right, you are scrabbling around trying to find a new answer because the one you've given is so disgustingly shit.
- 1:38:23SPEAKER_04: The scavenger hunt Dizzy the Egg one.
- 1:38:25SPEAKER_04: Actually, I had an idea the other day.
- 1:38:26SPEAKER_04: Speaking of Dizzy the Egg, right?
- 1:38:28SPEAKER_04: I thought, and there's probably about one person listening that would get this.
- 1:38:31SPEAKER_04: What if we did it what not me and you, but like what somebody did a Frankie Goes to Hollywood tribute band, but called it Seymour Goes to Hollywood.
- 1:38:39SPEAKER_05: I mean, that'd be good, that'd be I mean I'm surprised that hasn't been done already, to be honest.
- 1:38:43SPEAKER_04: Like, because yeah, because obviously Seymour Goes to Hollywood was like a lot of people.
- 1:38:49SPEAKER_04: Message in Lucky and Wild uh uh Lucky and Wild Podcast at Gmail.com.
- 1:38:54SPEAKER_04: Have you ever even heard of Seymour Goes to Hollywood?
- 1:38:57SPEAKER_05: Uh which is a dizzy the egg knockoff.
- 1:38:59SPEAKER_04: Yeah, but yeah, tell me.
- 1:39:01SPEAKER_04: Made by the same people as well, but you know, yeah, but they not were they knocked off their own game because it took place in a realistic setting.
- 1:39:08SPEAKER_05: What's in Bark 2?
- 1:39:10SPEAKER_04: Yeah.
- 1:39:11SPEAKER_05: Okay.
- 1:39:12SPEAKER_04: Right, because Seymour, because Dizzy famously was in all the egglands or whatever the fuck you call it, but Seymour was notably notably in Hollywood, yes.
- 1:39:21SPEAKER_04: Well, this we've officially run out of shit to talk about, right?
- 1:39:24SPEAKER_04: I think this will be the last episode of the podcast because we're now talking about Seymour goes to Hollywood.
- 1:39:29SPEAKER_04: And your answer was dog shit.
- 1:39:31SPEAKER_04: Next time read the fucking question and then try harder.
- 1:39:34SPEAKER_05: It was there, it's been there for a week.
- 1:39:36SPEAKER_05: I mean, I liked people's answers, to be honest.
- 1:39:38SPEAKER_04: Yeah, so did I.
- 1:39:39SPEAKER_04: Thank you very much for messaging in if you did.
- 1:39:41SPEAKER_04: We've got some normal questions to come to come now.
- 1:39:44SPEAKER_04: Um normal questions.
- 1:39:46SPEAKER_04: Which uh fucking Northern he says, which video game character would each of you say is most similar to the other?
- 1:39:51SPEAKER_04: So I you I've got to say a video game character that I think is like you.
- 1:39:55SPEAKER_05: Okay, yeah.
- 1:39:56SPEAKER_04: Well Luigi, smelly horrible.
- 1:40:04SPEAKER_04: No, um I'm trying to think.
- 1:40:06SPEAKER_04: I'm trying to think.
- 1:40:07SPEAKER_04: Like what was that Mass Effect game?
- 1:40:12SPEAKER_04: There was the one uh Mass Effect Nomad or something.
- 1:40:16SPEAKER_04: It was the one that came after three, and all of the facial expressions are really weird of the main character because and then people trying to say, no, actually, it's not because they didn't have time to animate the game, it's because the main character's really autistic.
- 1:40:29SPEAKER_05: Oh, okay, yeah.
- 1:40:30SPEAKER_05: Um that's you.
- 1:40:31SPEAKER_05: Maybe like that, yeah.
- 1:40:32SPEAKER_05: But um, yeah, I mean I don't know.
- 1:40:35SPEAKER_04: I mean I think actually you're like Denzel from the Dizzy the Egg knockoff game Dizzy's Normal Day.
- 1:40:43SPEAKER_05: Yeah, I'm a bit like that, yeah.
- 1:40:44SPEAKER_04: Where they made him a Rastafarian.
- 1:40:46SPEAKER_04: Because you're sort of like you're sort of like a Jamaica is more a feeling than a place type person, aren't you?
- 1:40:51SPEAKER_05: And he was like that, yeah.
- 1:40:54SPEAKER_04: Sean, what do you what video game character do you think I'm like?
- 1:40:56SPEAKER_04: Kratos?
- 1:40:57SPEAKER_04: Obviously, Marcus Phoenix, we're quite similar.
- 1:41:00SPEAKER_04: Well, um if you dare say something that hurts my feelings, I'm gonna fucking destroy you.
- 1:41:04SPEAKER_05: You look like um well you look like you from Persona but 20 years older.
- 1:41:10SPEAKER_04: Right.
- 1:41:11SPEAKER_04: A little bit out of order.
- 1:41:13SPEAKER_04: Um Well, because me and you are both quite like you as in the guy from Persona, quite fashionable.
- 1:41:18SPEAKER_04: Um but I think he looks older than me.
- 1:41:20SPEAKER_04: I'm quite young, quite youthful.
- 1:41:22SPEAKER_05: You do wear the same clothes as him as well, and the same glasses.
- 1:41:25SPEAKER_04: Yeah, high school outfit, yeah.
- 1:41:27SPEAKER_04: Yeah.
- 1:41:28SPEAKER_04: Right, I don't think you thought about this one either, have you?
- 1:41:30SPEAKER_05: I did, I did.
- 1:41:31SPEAKER_04: Just say that I'm not Dizzy the egg.
- 1:41:32SPEAKER_05: Go on.
- 1:41:33SPEAKER_05: Um, well you you're like um I don't know, no, you're not.
- 1:41:37SPEAKER_05: I can't insult Dizzy like that, to be honest.
- 1:41:39SPEAKER_04: Right, oh you're you're a twat.
- 1:41:42SPEAKER_05: But yeah, you do look like you, but middle-aged.
- 1:41:45SPEAKER_04: It is weird, the things that you think other people look like.
- 1:41:47SPEAKER_04: I remember we were playing Rainbow Six Siege with our mate Nick, and Nick, like, he just he has a beard.
- 1:41:53SPEAKER_04: And Sean was like, You look a bit like Blackbeard, but whatever his name was, the helicopter pilot.
- 1:41:57SPEAKER_04: And he was just an American dude with a beard.
- 1:41:59SPEAKER_04: They look nothing similar.
- 1:42:01SPEAKER_04: And then was that other character from Rainbow Six Siege?
- 1:42:03SPEAKER_04: Goyo.
- 1:42:04SPEAKER_04: Goyo.
- 1:42:06SPEAKER_05: Like, notably like Oh, yeah, you look like him as well.
- 1:42:09SPEAKER_05: I do not look like him.
- 1:42:11SPEAKER_05: There's that one versus screen picture of it.
- 1:42:13SPEAKER_04: Oh, actually, yeah, you did find one that looked like me.
- 1:42:15SPEAKER_04: This is the one.
- 1:42:17SPEAKER_04: Yeah, fair enough.
- 1:42:18SPEAKER_04: All right, I'm I'm that faceless, personality-less character from Rainbow Six Siege.
- 1:42:23SPEAKER_05: But it's only looks, it's not really like personality.
- 1:42:26SPEAKER_05: I can't really say.
- 1:42:27SPEAKER_04: Well, I shoot people, so there we go.
- 1:42:28SPEAKER_04: We're very similar in that regard.
- 1:42:30SPEAKER_04: Mumson, he says, on the next episode, you should both design your ultimate vape.
- 1:42:34SPEAKER_04: Sean, hit me.
- 1:42:35SPEAKER_04: You you you're a vapist, you're a convicted vapist.
- 1:42:39SPEAKER_05: Nice.
- 1:42:39SPEAKER_05: Um uh so uh were we talking like uh were we talking like nicotine or uh dry hard vaporiser type of deal, you know?
- 1:42:47SPEAKER_04: Why would you mention that?
- 1:42:49SPEAKER_05: Well, um like I use the thing such medical devices.
- 1:42:54SPEAKER_04: Sean has a weed prescription.
- 1:42:56SPEAKER_04: Um but yeah, like I uh And he thinks he's really cool because he's in a special club where he can buy big nasty brand weed.
- 1:43:03SPEAKER_04: Uh but yeah, but big how can I say how can I say that the weed is like a medical product when the shit rapper Big Nasty has bought out his own strain of weed?
- 1:43:12SPEAKER_04: He's not a doctor.
- 1:43:13SPEAKER_05: Well, like he's got a whole clinic, Big Nasty Medical.
- 1:43:16SPEAKER_04: That is insane.
- 1:43:18SPEAKER_04: Never take medical advice from somebody called Big Nasty.
- 1:43:21SPEAKER_05: And also Well, you're not taking like medical advice from any.
- 1:43:24SPEAKER_05: No, you're taking his drugs.
- 1:43:26SPEAKER_05: Medical advice from the doctors who've sort of done this for six years to get the degree to then prescribe it to.
- 1:43:32SPEAKER_04: Yeah, then let Big Nasty run amok in their fucking lab and grow whatever we want.
- 1:43:36SPEAKER_05: I don't think he's like running amok.
- 1:43:37SPEAKER_05: I don't think he's like, yeah, I've got to smoke somebody's blood and then he ran up.
- 1:43:40SPEAKER_04: Have you seen Big Nasty man?
- 1:43:43SPEAKER_04: There is no scientist in the world that could stop him.
- 1:43:46SPEAKER_04: He's a big fat cunt.
- 1:43:47SPEAKER_05: Well, like that's because scientists are like small and gangly and he's like big.
- 1:43:52SPEAKER_04: Exactly.
- 1:43:52SPEAKER_04: So he runs in there, he's like, let me grow some weed in it.
- 1:43:55SPEAKER_04: And then that there's nothing they could do to stop that man.
- 1:43:58SPEAKER_05: No, it's got to be.
- 1:44:01SPEAKER_04: Smash someone over the head with it.
- 1:44:02SPEAKER_04: Look, the point is, is that like it or lump it, it may be natural, but weed is some sort of drug.
- 1:44:08SPEAKER_04: And you're using Yeah, I mean, obviously.
- 1:44:10SPEAKER_04: Exactly.
- 1:44:11SPEAKER_04: So and you're using, you know, medically prescribed drugs prescribed by the rapper Brig Big Nasty.
- 1:44:17SPEAKER_05: I haven't had any of this stuff, to be honest.
- 1:44:19SPEAKER_05: Have you tried to buy it though?
- 1:44:20SPEAKER_05: Yeah, but it's also.
- 1:44:22SPEAKER_05: Yes, exactly.
- 1:44:23SPEAKER_04: Because it always sells out.
- 1:44:25SPEAKER_04: Um Right, so whatever.
- 1:44:27SPEAKER_04: Yes, if you've got a designer ultimate vape, it can be you can choose the thing that you smoke it with, yes.
- 1:44:32SPEAKER_04: All right.
- 1:44:34SPEAKER_05: Um yeah, well, I mean, I've had fun like customising my Mighty Plus.
- 1:44:38SPEAKER_04: Um, so I'm now Right, and I'm really sorry to stop you again, but Sean's weed vape is an insane machine.
- 1:44:45SPEAKER_04: It's the size of a fucking desktop desk oh, I can't even say it, like a computer.
- 1:44:50SPEAKER_04: Yeah, it's massive.
- 1:44:51SPEAKER_04: He has to use a little brush to clean it out.
- 1:44:53SPEAKER_04: And the pipe, the pipe bit that you suck the weed from is like a big sort of like I don't know how to describe it, but the sort of pipe that like uh what's his name?
- 1:45:03SPEAKER_04: Jafar.
- 1:45:04SPEAKER_04: Like one of those big twisty mouthpieces that comes right up.
- 1:45:07SPEAKER_04: It's a mental device.
- 1:45:08SPEAKER_05: Yeah, I mean I've got to- But could you have not got I've got loads of different attachments for it?
- 1:45:12SPEAKER_05: I'm getting a couple more as well, like a little bong attachment, stuff like that.
- 1:45:16SPEAKER_05: So and this is medicine, is it?
- 1:45:18SPEAKER_04: You're getting a bong Nobody has ever said bong attachment and that been like a a medical thing.
- 1:45:23SPEAKER_05: Well, I mean, it's like more concise, in it.
- 1:45:25SPEAKER_05: But basically what I was gonna say.
- 1:45:27SPEAKER_04: Oh, yeah, yeah, yeah.
- 1:45:27SPEAKER_04: Well, we you know, I use it uh to get over panic attacks.
- 1:45:30SPEAKER_04: That's why I need a big fucking blast of uh bong weed right in my face.
- 1:45:35SPEAKER_05: Well, I can now say I'm not a migraine sufferer, but um that gets uh Yeah, to be fair, I'd love that.
- 1:45:40SPEAKER_05: Um that gets me on to my point.
- 1:45:41SPEAKER_05: Uh Mighty Plus, uh with replaceable batteries, um, that'd be my uh ideal vape.
- 1:45:47SPEAKER_04: So what you have to charge it via USB at a moment.
- 1:45:50SPEAKER_05: Um well, um they don't have removable batteries.
- 1:45:53SPEAKER_05: I would just like a like two removable batteries.
- 1:45:56SPEAKER_05: I do charge it.
- 1:45:56SPEAKER_04: So your answer is a vape that already exists, but you want removable batteries.
- 1:46:00SPEAKER_04: You could go mental on this.
- 1:46:01SPEAKER_04: You could put a waffle line in it if you wanted to.
- 1:46:03SPEAKER_04: If you needed a snack because you've got the munchies, he's giving you carte blanche to design your dream vape, and your dream vape is one that is like But my one's already insanely customisable, so I just Yeah, how did you customize it?
- 1:46:14SPEAKER_04: So you put that strange pipe on the end of it then?
- 1:46:17SPEAKER_04: That was your choice.
- 1:46:18SPEAKER_04: I thought that was like you you chuck like that's how it came and you had no choice.
- 1:46:22SPEAKER_05: No, it comes with it comes with it, but I've got all different attachments.
- 1:46:25SPEAKER_04: So why didn't you just go for one that looks slightly more normal?
- 1:46:28SPEAKER_04: Why'd you go for the Jafar vape?
- 1:46:30SPEAKER_05: Um I did.
- 1:46:31SPEAKER_05: I mean it's uh like it's uh one of the only med like medically approved devices in the world, yeah.
- 1:46:36SPEAKER_04: Right, okay.
- 1:46:38SPEAKER_04: Right, so that was the most normal one you could decide on.
- 1:46:40SPEAKER_05: Yeah.
- 1:46:41SPEAKER_04: Right, cool.
- 1:46:42SPEAKER_05: Reliable and normal.
- 1:46:43SPEAKER_05: So just give us removal batteries, please, then that'd be good.
- 1:46:47SPEAKER_04: You've got such a lack of imagination, it's amazing.
- 1:46:49SPEAKER_04: It's just like you just want you just want the vape you already have, but with a removable batteries, that's it.
- 1:46:54SPEAKER_05: Yeah, right.
- 1:46:57SPEAKER_05: Like green.
- 1:46:58SPEAKER_05: Oh, green!
- 1:46:59SPEAKER_04: Yeah, wow.
- 1:47:00SPEAKER_04: Right, if I was designing my dream vape, right, um, it would have wheels and I and a seat so I could ride on it, right?
- 1:47:08SPEAKER_04: Yeah, um, and within it it would have one massive compartment, so I'd very I'd need to fill it up once a year.
- 1:47:15SPEAKER_04: Right, there we go.
- 1:47:16SPEAKER_04: See, this is what I'm talking about.
- 1:47:18SPEAKER_04: And also it would dispense cigarettes because I prefer those.
- 1:47:22SPEAKER_04: It would have a cigarette machine in it.
- 1:47:24SPEAKER_04: Does that I mean certainly surely that's like I want to ride of all ride of all vape.
- 1:47:29SPEAKER_05: That's about one sixteenth of the vape, and you know, what you mean?
- 1:47:33SPEAKER_05: Wait.
- 1:47:34SPEAKER_05: You can sort of see why this question is sort of a bit of a misfire.
- 1:47:38SPEAKER_05: Because like you you've got about one sixteenth of the vape there, like the rest of it's everything else, isn't it?
- 1:47:43SPEAKER_04: Oh well, you mean the tank, the tank is one of the smallest parts.
- 1:47:46SPEAKER_05: Like I could sort of say, like, oh, I want a monster fridge attached to my vape, and well that's not part of the vape, that's silly.
- 1:47:53SPEAKER_04: Like mine's got wheels on it.
- 1:47:54SPEAKER_05: You're saying that's you want a rideable vape.
- 1:47:57SPEAKER_04: Yeah, that's still a vape.
- 1:47:59SPEAKER_04: I'm not just saying, oh yeah, just put a vape in my fucking toaster.
- 1:48:02SPEAKER_04: I'm saying it's a vape that I can ride on.
- 1:48:05SPEAKER_05: Yeah.
- 1:48:05SPEAKER_04: Right?
- 1:48:06SPEAKER_05: Yeah.
- 1:48:06SPEAKER_04: So uh and when I pedal the vape, because it's got pedals now, right?
- 1:48:11SPEAKER_04: That that activates some sort of reservoir to keep the keep the juice flowing.
- 1:48:16SPEAKER_04: Um so it's actually functional.
- 1:48:18SPEAKER_05: Oh, yeah.
- 1:48:19SPEAKER_04: The world's first pedal vape.
- 1:48:21SPEAKER_05: Oh yeah, okay.
- 1:48:22SPEAKER_05: Alright.
- 1:48:23SPEAKER_05: So you don't need electronics, you just like pedal.
- 1:48:26SPEAKER_04: Yeah.
- 1:48:26SPEAKER_04: Okay.
- 1:48:27SPEAKER_04: It's a pedal vape.
- 1:48:28SPEAKER_04: So I don't even need to charge it.
- 1:48:29SPEAKER_04: That, or I want one of those, you know, those beer hats.
- 1:48:32SPEAKER_04: Yeah, one of those, but with two vapes on the side, and then a straw that goes.
- 1:48:37SPEAKER_04: That would be good, would it?
- 1:48:38SPEAKER_05: Yeah.
- 1:48:38SPEAKER_04: Alright.
- 1:48:39SPEAKER_04: I mean, you'd look cool, that's that's a fact.
- 1:48:41SPEAKER_04: Yeah, I want a vape hat.
- 1:48:42SPEAKER_05: Yeah, oh that'd be good.
- 1:48:43SPEAKER_05: Yeah, I wouldn't mind that.
- 1:48:45SPEAKER_05: Like mask vape would be good as well, to be fair.
- 1:48:47SPEAKER_04: Just to get that weed, like do you just you are you hotboxing your own face?
- 1:48:52SPEAKER_04: No, yeah, that's really cool, Sean.
- 1:48:55SPEAKER_04: Really cool.
- 1:48:56SPEAKER_04: Can you see why like weed culture is weed weed weed weed culture is so lame, man.
- 1:49:02SPEAKER_04: The fact that you want to hotbox your own head.
- 1:49:04SPEAKER_04: I don't know.
- 1:49:05SPEAKER_04: I was just what you want is like a box that goes over your head.
- 1:49:09SPEAKER_04: I mean eyes met up, ladies and gentlemen.
- 1:49:12SPEAKER_05: That's what the people want, you know.
- 1:49:13SPEAKER_05: I'm I mean, yeah.
- 1:49:15SPEAKER_04: As long as it's got big nasties branding on it.
- 1:49:17SPEAKER_05: I was just trying to like sort of get some more because I just said about removable battery on the Mighty Plus, so you know, I mean that uh Right.
- 1:49:25SPEAKER_04: Um Big Nasty Weed, if you want to sponsor this podcast, please do.

- 1:49:49SPEAKER_04: Uh we're gonna do the outro now.

- 1:49:56SPEAKER_04: Scared man.
- 1:49:57SPEAKER_01: I've just woke up in a fucking steaming mood, yeah.
- 1:50:00SPEAKER_01: Cause I live in a shithole.
- 1:50:02SPEAKER_01: Do you know what I mean?
- 1:50:03SPEAKER_01: Birmingham is a fucking shithole.
- 1:50:05SPEAKER_01: I hate the fucking place.
- 1:50:07SPEAKER_01: I fucking hate it.
- 1:50:08SPEAKER_01: It's full of dickheads.
- 1:50:09SPEAKER_01: I fucking hate it.
- 1:50:11SPEAKER_01: Yeah, yeah.
- 1:50:12SPEAKER_01: Woke up this morning.

- 1:50:25SPEAKER_04: Do start paying because uh You know, if times are tough.
- 1:50:28SPEAKER_04: Times are tough.
- 1:50:29SPEAKER_05: No, no, I mean um to be honest.
- 1:50:31SPEAKER_04: Sean's got to buy a big nasty weed.
- 1:50:33SPEAKER_04: And how can he do that if he hasn't got money?
- 1:50:36SPEAKER_05: I mean I don't have I mean I like you know, I mean I could buy alternative ones, but um you know, um it's not that, it's just that we want to um you know, put put the finder back in the show, maybe go to places that you want us to go, like maybe conventions that you'd like us to go to, maybe games you'd like us to play.
- 1:50:54SPEAKER_04: What I really want is to have enough uh Patreon money so that we can go to a furry convention and report back on it.
- 1:51:00SPEAKER_04: That's what I want.
- 1:51:01SPEAKER_05: I mean, like uh if that if there are video games there, they probably will, but you know.
- 1:51:05SPEAKER_04: They probably will, but it'll be all Sonic games.
- 1:51:07SPEAKER_04: Yeah, I mean that's so you'd love it.
- 1:51:09SPEAKER_05: Yeah, I would.
- 1:51:10SPEAKER_05: Um bad ones, which are most of them.
- 1:51:13SPEAKER_04: Yeah, exactly.
- 1:51:14SPEAKER_04: Which are all of them.
- 1:51:15SPEAKER_04: Uh right, let's uh go on to the sound test.
- 1:51:30SPEAKER_04: Sean, it's your turn.
- 1:51:32SPEAKER_05: It's my turn.
- 1:51:33SPEAKER_05: I thought it was your turn.
- 1:51:35SPEAKER_04: I chose Zenoblade Chronicle as last time.
- 1:51:37SPEAKER_04: I even and it interestingly, interestingly shut up.
- 1:51:41SPEAKER_04: Interestingly, you didn't you didn't read the question earlier and come up with an answer, right?
- 1:51:47SPEAKER_04: Your vape design was dog shit, right?
- 1:51:50SPEAKER_04: And that's why people come here.
- 1:51:51SPEAKER_04: Oh, actually, I just need to say give a quick shout out to uh my friend Jordan Hughes.
- 1:51:57SPEAKER_04: They designed the new logo for the podcast.
- 1:51:59SPEAKER_04: Oh yeah, and I forgot to shout them out in the intro, so I'm shouting them out now.
- 1:52:03SPEAKER_05: It's an incredible design, I think, to be honest.
- 1:52:05SPEAKER_05: Perfect.
- 1:52:05SPEAKER_04: They're a very, very talented artist.
- 1:52:07SPEAKER_04: Um, currently don't have like an art page, but they do often post artwork on their Instagram.
- 1:52:13SPEAKER_04: So we'll put a link in the description of this episode to that.
- 1:52:16SPEAKER_04: Go and check it out if you like really fucking cool art.
- 1:52:19SPEAKER_04: Um and actually the reason why the vape question even came up was because I asked them when they were designing the logo to put a vape, because it's two hands, one of them's yours, one's mine, and your one's holding a weed vape.
- 1:52:31SPEAKER_04: So there we go.
- 1:52:33SPEAKER_05: Um it's a nicotine vape.
- 1:52:37SPEAKER_04: Right, because it's not got a stupid kookly shape.
- 1:52:39SPEAKER_04: Uh yeah, I did I did mention that.
- 1:52:41SPEAKER_04: I was just like, just make it a just make it look like a normal vape.
- 1:52:45SPEAKER_04: Because if it was if they were holding the device that you use to vape big nasty weed, the true the the reality is that nobody would know what that is.
- 1:52:52SPEAKER_04: They think it was some sort of futuristic tech device.
- 1:52:55SPEAKER_05: I don't know, it's one of the most famous devices on the planet.
- 1:52:58SPEAKER_04: If you're a fucking mongoloid who likes to smoke bongs.
- 1:53:02SPEAKER_04: I'm sorry for saying mongoloid.
- 1:53:04SPEAKER_05: Volcano and Mighty Plus are two of the most famous devices ever made.
- 1:53:07SPEAKER_04: Yet if you aren't into smoking big nasty weed, you've never heard of them.
- 1:53:10SPEAKER_04: There's a fucking surprise.
- 1:53:12SPEAKER_05: No, everyone knows.
- 1:53:12SPEAKER_05: Everyone knows.
- 1:53:13SPEAKER_04: Everyone knows, today.
- 1:53:14SPEAKER_04: Everyone knows.
- 1:53:15SPEAKER_04: Okay, messaging.
- 1:53:16SPEAKER_05: Everyone knows who's shut up.
- 1:53:17SPEAKER_05: Everyone knows everyone knows the volcano by Stores and Bickel.
- 1:53:21SPEAKER_05: Right.
- 1:53:21SPEAKER_05: Even if you don't know the name.
- 1:53:22SPEAKER_05: But I've never even heard those words.
- 1:53:24SPEAKER_05: Like, even if you don't know the name, you'll know what a volcano is when you see the picture.
- 1:53:28SPEAKER_05: Right, messaging.
- 1:53:29SPEAKER_05: You've seen it.
- 1:53:30SPEAKER_05: Yeah, because you use headpoint.
- 1:53:33SPEAKER_05: Don't say his name.
- 1:53:34SPEAKER_05: Oh, okay.
- 1:53:34SPEAKER_04: Because he had it before it was legal.
- 1:53:36SPEAKER_05: Buell's headpoint, no.
- 1:53:38SPEAKER_04: Buell's there we go.
- 1:53:39SPEAKER_04: No, a nobody's ever heard of it.
- 1:53:42SPEAKER_04: B B everyone's heard of it.
- 1:53:43SPEAKER_04: No, they haven't.
- 1:53:44SPEAKER_04: Shut up for a minute.
- 1:53:45SPEAKER_04: Right, messaging, luck in my podcast at gmmail.com.
- 1:53:48SPEAKER_04: Have you ever heard of those devices that Sean just mentioned?
- 1:53:51SPEAKER_04: Mighty Plus or Volcano and or Seymour goes to Hollywood, right?
- 1:53:55SPEAKER_04: That's the task for this week.
- 1:53:56SPEAKER_04: Anyway, look, I wanted to shout out Jordan's work.
- 1:53:58SPEAKER_04: Yeah, yeah, yeah.
- 1:53:59SPEAKER_04: They do good work.
- 1:54:00SPEAKER_04: Good work.
- 1:54:00SPEAKER_04: Should we emphasize that instead of you and your stupid vipe?
- 1:54:03SPEAKER_04: Yeah, I mean it's not stupid.
- 1:54:04SPEAKER_04: It is stupid.
- 1:54:05SPEAKER_04: And you're an idiot.
- 1:54:06SPEAKER_04: Um, yeah, go and check out their artwork.
- 1:54:08SPEAKER_04: Go to Instagram.
- 1:54:08SPEAKER_04: Sorry, Jordan.
- 1:54:09SPEAKER_04: That was a bad, that was the worst shout out.
- 1:54:11SPEAKER_04: Um, right, let's do the sound.
- 1:54:14SPEAKER_04: Yeah, we're in the sound test now.
- 1:54:15SPEAKER_04: Right, what have you got?
- 1:54:16SPEAKER_05: We are in the sound test.
- 1:54:16SPEAKER_05: What have you got?
- 1:54:17SPEAKER_04: What have you got, bruv?
- 1:54:18SPEAKER_04: Because you you because you didn't read the question earlier.
- 1:54:20SPEAKER_04: If you look on here, look, there's the plan.
- 1:54:22SPEAKER_04: Well, I just locked my phone, but it says, Sean, it's your turn this time.
- 1:54:26SPEAKER_04: So you're you're gonna have to come up with some fucking gold here because you you clearly didn't read any of the plan, which you should.
- 1:54:31SPEAKER_04: I've I spent the time to fucking write that.
- 1:54:33SPEAKER_04: Why can't you read it?
- 1:54:35SPEAKER_04: Why can't you look at it for five seconds?
- 1:54:37SPEAKER_04: Why do I have to do all the work?
- 1:54:40SPEAKER_07: Melody.
- 1:54:41SPEAKER_05: Good question, that good question.
- 1:54:43SPEAKER_05: One second, right?
- 1:54:43SPEAKER_04: Sean is on his phone right now.
- 1:54:45SPEAKER_04: This is I'm I'm leaving all of this in.
- 1:54:47SPEAKER_04: It's gonna be the shittiest outro ever.
- 1:54:49SPEAKER_05: Because he uh people need to know he's needs to find this song, just this one song, but the signal is not that good.
- 1:54:55SPEAKER_04: If you yeah, is it Phantom Inc.?
- 1:54:58SPEAKER_05: Oh no, I shouldn't put that.
- 1:54:59SPEAKER_05: Did I put have I already used that one?
- 1:55:02SPEAKER_04: No, you haven't.
- 1:55:02SPEAKER_04: But it's not a video game song, it's just a musician, and if we stole his music, he'd probably be very annoyed.
- 1:55:08SPEAKER_05: That sucks.
- 1:55:09SPEAKER_04: At least narrate what you're doing so that people can listen to you fartar sing around.
- 1:55:13SPEAKER_04: Ah yes.
- 1:55:13SPEAKER_04: Uh yes.
- 1:55:15SPEAKER_05: Uh I found a song.
- 1:55:17SPEAKER_05: Melody Mountain Madness from Tariken by Chris uh Chris Hasselbank.
- 1:55:23SPEAKER_04: Right, but just for once though, can you not pick an Amiga song?
- 1:55:26SPEAKER_05: I've been going for all my favourite artists.
- 1:55:29SPEAKER_05: Um what's wrong with Amiga songs?
- 1:55:31SPEAKER_04: No, they're really good actually, to be fair, but we just need a bit more variety, you know what I mean?
- 1:55:35SPEAKER_04: Look, anyway, look, okay, so who's it?
- 1:55:37SPEAKER_04: By Chris Chris Tarrikan and his song Oops, I dana whoopsie for the Sega Genesis.
- 1:55:45SPEAKER_05: Yeah, no, no.
- 1:55:46SPEAKER_05: Um so Tarrakin, probably one of the best sounds.
- 1:55:49SPEAKER_04: Was Tumakin?
- 1:55:50SPEAKER_05: Yeah.
- 1:55:51SPEAKER_04: Is it like Pemmican?
- 1:55:53SPEAKER_04: Sorry, go on, what were you saying?
- 1:55:54SPEAKER_04: What were you saying about Chris Tarrikan?
- 1:55:57SPEAKER_04: No, go on.
- 1:55:58SPEAKER_04: What John, don't go silent.
- 1:55:59SPEAKER_04: Don't do this every time.
- 1:56:01SPEAKER_05: I'm just asking you about the song I want to know about Sir Chris Tarrikan.
- 1:56:04SPEAKER_05: You know about Tarikan.
- 1:56:07SPEAKER_04: Is he a nice fella?
- 1:56:08SPEAKER_04: Does he do good music?
- 1:56:11SPEAKER_04: Okay, so the song.
- 1:56:13SPEAKER_04: So the song is what?
- 1:56:15SPEAKER_04: Announce it at least.
- 1:56:18SPEAKER_05: He's coming back on his phone! What is incompetent?
- 1:56:22SPEAKER_05: Mountain Mountain Mountain Or Planes.
- 1:56:29SPEAKER_05: Thunderplains is a good one, isn't it?
- 1:56:30SPEAKER_04: Okay, so this is Thunder Plains by Chris Harrisenderbank.
- 1:56:36SPEAKER_04: Chris Hassel House and Bank.
- 1:56:43SPEAKER_04: Chris Hasselbank.
- 1:56:44SPEAKER_05: Yeah, yeah.
- 1:56:44SPEAKER_04: Okay, so this is Thunder Plains from Tarraken, 40 Amiga by Chris Hasselblank.
- 1:56:50SPEAKER_04: Is that good?
- 1:56:51SPEAKER_05: Yeah, that was good.
- 1:56:52SPEAKER_04: Right, I've been Harrison Hunt.
- 1:56:53SPEAKER_04: I've been Sean Hunt.
- 1:56:55SPEAKER_04: And remember remember that we don't know what we're talking about, but neither do you.
- 1:56:58SPEAKER_04: Here is Pounce Mountain Man.
- 1:57:00SPEAKER_04: No, Thunder Guy.
- 1:57:02SPEAKER_05: Thunder Plains.
- 1:57:03SPEAKER_05: Or you could go with uh Mounted Mounted Spoon.
- 1:57:06SPEAKER_04: Well we have to pick one.
- 1:57:07SPEAKER_04: Shall I play both simultaneously?
- 1:57:09SPEAKER_05: Yeah, maybe.
- 1:57:09SPEAKER_05: Might be big.
- 1:57:10SPEAKER_04: That would be lovely to listen to.
- 1:57:12SPEAKER_04: Right, goodbye.
- 1:57:13SPEAKER_03: Metal Metal Rescurit Man.
- 1:57:15unknown: Alright, alright.
