Romeo In The Morning 9-4-26 · Romeo & Friends

• 0:00
Speaker 1: And what's going on, it's Romeo. We made it to Friday.
• 0:02
Speaker 1: We got into, well, one of my friends is letting
• 0:04
Speaker 1: his ex-baby mama and his son move in with him.
• 0:07
Speaker 1: We'll talk a little bit about that. Fitness, we talked
• 0:10
Speaker 1: with Dickie Mugliana about fitness. We also talked about how tech,
• 0:14
Speaker 1: this high tech has gotten you caught up in some way.
• 0:16
Speaker 1: I'll tell you about my buddy's friend. I mean, my
• 0:19
Speaker 1: buddy's kid. He actually might call in if he's listening. But, um,
• 0:24
Speaker 1: not the kid, my buddy. But so, um, You know,
• 0:27
Speaker 1: a guy I work out with, his kid, he's got
• 0:29
  Speaker 1: a kid, I think he's 24 years old, graduated college,
• 0:32
Speaker 1: good kid, good-looking kid, got a pretty good personality for
• 0:36
Speaker 1: a 21-year-old. But he won't wash his damn car. And
• 0:43
Speaker 1: his logic is, because he drives an older car, you know,
• 0:47
  Speaker 1: like a 2000-something, I don't need to wash it. And
• 0:53
Speaker 1: I think to myself, no. No. You need to wash
• 0:57
Speaker 1: your car. You can't just have a cloud of dust
• 1:00
Speaker 1: on your car. Your car is a representation of who
• 1:05
  Speaker 1: you are.
• 1:07
  Speaker 2: Right?
• 1:08
  Speaker 1: Am I wrong then, ladies? A 24-year-old guy, okay? You're
• 1:15
  Speaker 1: looking for a 24-year-old college graduate, and he's driving a
• 1:23
Speaker 1: dirty-ass car. Are you not, are you okay with that?
• 1:30
Speaker 1: Because that's a representation of who, your car is a
• 1:33
Speaker 1: representation of who you are. There are two things that
• 1:37
Speaker 1: you can tell by how somebody's car looks and how
• 1:42
Speaker 1: their house or their bedroom looks. How well they keep,
• 1:47
Speaker 1: they keep it clean or not. That's a representation of you.
• 1:51
Speaker 1: Is it, am I wrong about that? R-D-4-2-5-4-7-7. And what
• 1:58
Speaker 1: got me, it cracked me up when he said, well, Rome,
• 2:00
Speaker 1: it's an older car, so, you know, I don't really care.
• 2:02
Speaker 1: If I had a new car, I was like, your
• 2:04
Speaker 1: dad keeps his car clean. Yeah, but my dad drives
• 2:06
Speaker 1: a blah, blah, blah, which is, yeah. So, anyway, I,
• 2:13
Speaker 1: then I started to think back in the day. When
• 2:17
Speaker 1: you were in high school, when you were in your 20s,
• 2:19
Speaker 1: we drove buckets. But we kept those things armored and
• 2:24
Speaker 1: nice and tight. Didn't we? Do you remember back in
• 2:28
Speaker 1: the day? It didn't matter if you had a low rider.
• 2:32
Speaker 1: It didn't matter if you had a new car or
• 2:34
Speaker 1: an old car. You kept that. You could be driving
• 2:38
Speaker 1: an 88 Honda Accord. But you kept it clean. Armor
• 2:44
Speaker 1: all of the tires. You didn't have no layer of dust.
• 2:49
Speaker 1: Think about when you were in your 20s. For those
• 2:53
Speaker 1: of you old school cats. Did you ever drive around
• 2:57
Speaker 1: on a Friday night with a layer of dust on
• 3:01
Speaker 1: your car? Were your tires not armored up? It didn't
• 3:07
Speaker 1: matter if you were driving an 88 Sentra. You had
• 3:13
Speaker 1: that thing clean as could be. As clean as you
• 3:17
Speaker 1: can get, right? These kids today, man. That's a representation
• 3:24
Speaker 1: of you. That's how people see you. Clean your car.
• 3:30
  Speaker 2: All right.
• 3:32
Speaker 1: Eight, four, two, five, four, seven to seven. What's going on?
• 3:35
  Speaker 3: What's going on?
• 3:36
Speaker 4: Hey, what's up, bro?
• 3:36
Speaker 5: You got to put my boy.
• 3:43
  Speaker 1: On black.
• 3:44
Speaker 4: So I told you when we pulled up the Thursday morning,
• 3:47
Speaker 4: I was like, you know, that's the first thing he's
• 3:49
Speaker 4: going to say. Your car is clean. He's like, yeah.
• 3:52
Speaker 4: And what's the first thing you said to him?
• 3:55
  Speaker 1: What?
• 3:56
Speaker 4: Well, the first thing you said to him, oh, you
• 3:58
Speaker 4: finally washed your car.
• 3:59
  Speaker 3: Oh, yeah.
• 4:00
  Speaker 5: Well, yeah.
• 4:01
Speaker 1: Wash your damn car, man. Have a little pride in yourself.
• 4:05
Speaker 1: People see you as they see you.
• 4:06
Speaker 4: But what's crazy, Rome, is the inside of his car
• 4:10
Speaker 4: is clean. It's like it's... I'm not saying you can
• 4:13
Speaker 4: eat off of it, but if you think the outside
• 4:18
Speaker 4: reflects the inside, you're wrong.
• 4:20
Speaker 1: Yeah, but still, you don't know that. You don't know
• 4:23
Speaker 1: she crazy. You don't know a hot girl's crazy until
• 4:26
Speaker 1: you actually get to know her. You don't know that
• 4:28
Speaker 1: car's clean until you get inside.
• 4:31
Speaker 4: I tried to explain it to him. You might as
• 4:35
Speaker 4: well be talking to the wall.
• 4:36
Speaker 5: I mean, his logic is his logic, and I'm like,
• 4:39
Speaker 5: all right, dude, I'll— I just remember.
• 4:42
Speaker 1: In my 20s, everybody, even dudes with buckets had armor
• 4:46
Speaker 1: all on their tires. You could have chipped paint, but
• 4:48
Speaker 1: you're clean and armor all on the tires. Oh, without
• 4:51
  Speaker 1: a doubt.
• 4:51
  Speaker 6: Without a doubt.
• 4:52
  Speaker 4: But, I mean, I don't know if it's just because
• 4:54
  Speaker 4: the times have.
• 4:54
Speaker 5: Changed and stuff like that. And I have instilled in him, like,
• 4:59
Speaker 5: don't care what people think about you.
• 5:00
Speaker 4: You know, someone's opinion of you doesn't make.
• 5:03
Speaker 3: You who you are.
• 5:03
  Speaker 2: So.
• 5:04
  Speaker 1: I guess he's.
• 5:06
Speaker 5: Taking that to heart, but it did bother me with
• 5:08
Speaker 5: the dirty car, but again.
• 5:10
Speaker 1: What people think of you is different than having pride
• 5:13
Speaker 1: in your car and your house are two things that
• 5:16
Speaker 1: people judge you on and are a representation of you.
• 5:20
Speaker 1: How you dress nowadays, how you dress also, but he's
• 5:23
Speaker 1: just a kid still. But yeah, man.
• 5:28
Speaker 4: So, and his logic is that once I get a
• 5:32
Speaker 4: better car, newer car, you know, I'm going to take
• 5:34
Speaker 4: care of it better. And I'm like, it's still your
• 5:38
Speaker 4: car at the end of the day.
• 5:39
Speaker 1: Yeah, that's terrible logic.
• 5:41
Speaker 4: You make enough money right now, you can do like
• 5:43
Speaker 4: a little monthly subscription to, you know, one of the
• 5:45
Speaker 4: little spots just to cruise through or, you know, just
• 5:48
Speaker 4: knock the dust off of it. But it's just going
• 5:50
Speaker 4: to get dirty. I was like, okay, so guess what?
• 5:53
Speaker 4: Just because I paid my bills this month, you know
• 5:55
Speaker 4: I have to pay them next month?
• 5:56
  Speaker 2: Exactly.
• 5:57
Speaker 3: Maybe it makes sense, dude.
• 5:59
Speaker 1: All right, man. I got to go. I'll talk to
• 6:03
Speaker 1: you later. I mean, all I'm saying is this.
• 6:07
  Speaker 3: All right?
• 6:07
Speaker 1: Look, man, that's a representation of you. Keep your car clean.
• 6:13
  Speaker 3: You know?
• 6:14
Speaker 1: You keep your drawers clean, don't you? Keep your car clean.
• 6:17
Speaker 1: Keep your bedroom clean. Keep your house. That's a representation
• 6:20
Speaker 1: of who you are. People look at you and they say, oh,
• 6:23
Speaker 1: look at this person. He takes pride. She takes pride, whatever, blah, blah, blah.
• 6:28
Speaker 1: I mean, there were fools rolling around in 85 Nissan
• 6:35
Speaker 1: Sentras with faded paint. but yet they still had armor
• 6:40
Speaker 1: all on the tires. Man, you got to keep your
• 6:42
Speaker 1: car clean. If you're going to keep your car clean, man,
• 6:44
Speaker 1: what does that say about you? Good morning, how's it
• 6:47
  Speaker 1: going on?
• 6:48
Speaker 6: Hey, what up, man?
• 6:49
Speaker 5: Hey, man, talking about these cars, man, it doesn't take
• 6:52
Speaker 5: that much for you to have your car cleaned up.
• 6:55
Speaker 4: It says a lot about you, you know what I mean?
• 6:57
  Speaker 3: Mm-hmm.
• 6:59
Speaker 1: That's what I say. Your car is a representation of you.
• 7:02
Speaker 1: It's one of the first things people see.
• 7:06
  Speaker 2: Exactly.
• 7:07
Speaker 3: You know what, Romeo?
• 7:09
  Speaker 7: I'm mobile, man.
• 7:10
Speaker 5: I'm a mobile mechanic, and I've seen some cars.
• 7:14
Speaker 7: damn, you wouldn't believe it.
• 7:16
Speaker 1: Oh, I can believe that.
• 7:18
  Speaker 5: Hey, bro, you.
• 7:20
Speaker 1: Wouldn't believe it, man.
• 7:21
Speaker 7: I'll be like, man, oh my God.
• 7:23
Speaker 6: Like, man, only takes you five minutes.
• 7:26
  Speaker 1: Yeah.
• 7:26
Speaker 3: And that's, you know, like you said, it shows a
• 7:29
Speaker 3: lot about a person, man.
• 7:30
Speaker 4: And that's how you keep your car.
• 7:31
Speaker 3: Imagine how, when, how do you wipe your butt, man?
• 7:33
Speaker 6: It's going to be the same.
• 7:35
Speaker 1: All right, man, get out of here. Like, and I'm
• 7:39
Speaker 1: going to tell you, and I know, I understand, you know,
• 7:41
Speaker 1: and I don't want to put too much on him, but,
• 7:44
Speaker 1: You know, my boy says, that's the thing, right? Everybody
• 7:47
Speaker 1: tells you, you don't want to, don't care what other
• 7:51
Speaker 1: people think of you, right? That's not, you shouldn't care
• 7:53
Speaker 1: what other people think of you. And I totally agree
• 7:56
Speaker 1: with that, right? Just be your own person. But washing
• 7:59
Speaker 1: your car, keeping your house clean or your room clean,
• 8:03
Speaker 1: keeping your clothes tight, you know, clean, always look in respect.
• 8:07
Speaker 1: That shows that you have pride in yourself, not being
• 8:10
Speaker 1: judged by somebody else. It shows you have pride in yours.
• 8:14
Speaker 1: And I'm going to tell you why the car is
• 8:16
Speaker 1: so important. Years ago, years ago, when I bought my
• 8:21
Speaker 1: first house in Bakersfield, right? I bought a nice house
• 8:24
Speaker 1: in Rosedale and I had a brand new Toyota Tundra.
• 8:30
Speaker 1: I bought a brand new Toyota Tundra. But I drove
• 8:33
Speaker 1: an old S10 that my dad gave me. Smelled like
• 8:37
Speaker 1: cigarette smoke because he smoked in it. Faded paint. It
• 8:42
Speaker 1: was a turquoise, green, ugly, you know, pickup truck. And
• 8:49
Speaker 1: I drove it everywhere. That's what I, that was what
• 8:52
  Speaker 1: I drove. I didn't tell anybody that I had a
• 8:54
Speaker 1: brand new car in the house that had four miles
• 8:57
  Speaker 1: on it. I didn't tell anybody. I didn't even tell
• 8:58
Speaker 1: anybody I owned a house until I met this one woman.
• 9:02
Speaker 1: And she was like, I'll drive that POS. And you
• 9:05
Speaker 1: know what? Then she found out, wait, you got a house?
• 9:08
Speaker 1: You got a brand new car? What do you do?
• 9:11
Speaker 1: I said, You know, I don't know, because the truck
• 9:14
Speaker 1: is just an old beat-up truck. But I kept it clean,
• 9:16
Speaker 1: kept it car washed, kept it tight, kept it vacuumed,
• 9:19
Speaker 1: all that good stuff. But it just shows when people
• 9:23
Speaker 1: look at you what they see. And I'm not talking
• 9:25
Speaker 1: about being judged by them. I'm talking about how you
• 9:29
Speaker 1: feel about yourself. You get up every morning. You got
• 9:32
Speaker 1: a clean house. You got a clean car. It just
• 9:35
Speaker 1: shows that you have pride in you.
• 9:37
  Speaker 2: R-D-4-2-5-4-7-7.
• 9:41
Speaker 1: And I just remember all the buckets that we owned
• 9:45
Speaker 1: as kids, as young adults, friends had. They always kept
• 9:50
Speaker 1: them clean. Never a layer of dust, dirt on it.
• 9:54
Speaker 1: Always keep them clean. Good morning, Al. What's going on?
• 9:58
  Speaker 3: What up, brother?
• 9:59
Speaker 4: Yeah, there's a couple things that are there.
• 10:02
Speaker 5: There's a couple hurdles before you get to the heart.
• 10:06
Speaker 4: Yeah, you're absolutely right.
• 10:19
Speaker 5: Yeah, it's a couple of hurdles, like all the clothes
• 10:23
  Speaker 5: on the floor.
• 10:27
  Speaker 3: Oh, man.
• 10:28
Speaker 1: All right, brother. Thanks for calling, man.
• 10:30
Speaker 3: Have a good one, man.
• 10:31
Speaker 1: Yeah, how's it going on?
• 10:33
  Speaker 4: Hey, Romeo.
• 10:34
  Speaker 2: What up, man?
• 10:35
Speaker 6: So, you know how I know you're right about the
• 10:37
  Speaker 6: car situation?
• 10:38
  Speaker 1: Okay.
• 10:39
Speaker 4: Because I bet you if you ask all.
• 10:41
Speaker 6: The men that are listening today, what's more impressive, a
• 10:44
Speaker 6: dude pulling up with a shiny, you know, 2020, 2024
• 10:46
Speaker 6: car or a dude that pulls up with a car
• 10:51
Speaker 6: that's 20 or 30 years old that, like you said,
• 10:54
Speaker 6: is clean, got nice rims, it's not chipped, it's kept together,
• 10:58
Speaker 6: and it doesn't matter what kind of car it is.
• 11:00
Speaker 4: Like the one lady earlier, it can.
• 11:02
Speaker 6: Be a Chevy Impala, it can be an S-Truck, it
• 11:05
Speaker 6: can be a Chevy Blazer, but a dude will stop
• 11:08
Speaker 6: you in the parking lot and shake your hand and go, man.
• 11:10
Speaker 4: You keep that truck up, that's fine.
• 11:13
Speaker 6: And like you said, it's just the old school way
• 11:16
Speaker 6: of building up your representation of you, because.
• 11:19
Speaker 4: Now if you go on a job interview, if.
• 11:21
Speaker 6: They see you anywhere, they see you in life, they're
• 11:24
Speaker 6: going to go, that's who's got your stuff together.
• 11:25
Speaker 1: Yeah, absolutely right, man. Absolutely right. Hey, thanks for calling.
• 11:28
Speaker 1: Appreciate it. That's what I'm saying. You just, what this
• 11:33
Speaker 1: kid couldn't understand, my buddy's kid doesn't understand. He thinks
• 11:38
Speaker 1: it's judging him because his car ain't clean because it's
• 11:41
Speaker 1: got a layer of dust on it, can't see out
• 11:43
Speaker 1: the front windshield. He thinks it's judging him. I'm not
• 11:46
Speaker 1: judging him. I'm saying have respect for yourself because that's
• 11:51
Speaker 1: what people are looking at. People are not judging you,
• 11:57
Speaker 1: but that shows your character. And some people are judging you.
• 12:00
Speaker 1: I should rephrase that. Some people are judging you. But
• 12:03
Speaker 1: other people are looking at you. Most people are looking
• 12:05
Speaker 1: at you and go, man, that dude's got a 30-year-old car,
• 12:08
Speaker 1: 20-year-old car, but look how clean he keeps it. That says,
• 12:12
Speaker 1: that shows how much you care about you. Okay? It
• 12:18
Speaker 1: shows the pride you have in you. Just like you
• 12:22
Speaker 1: keep your house clean. Just like Deidre said, you keep
• 12:24
Speaker 1: your yard clean. You keep your shoes clean. You keep
• 12:27
Speaker 1: your outfits clean. That's what that says.
• 12:30
  Speaker 4: You know?
• 12:31
  Speaker 3: All right.
• 12:31
Speaker 1: Eight, four, two, five, four, seven, seven. You ladies tell
• 12:34
Speaker 1: me one thing. You walk up to a, you, you
• 12:38
  Speaker 1: walk up.
• 12:39
  Speaker 4: Okay.
• 12:39
Speaker 1: Let me tell you, let me explain something to you.
• 12:41
Speaker 1: You women walk into a parking lot, right? And there's
• 12:44
  Speaker 1: a dude sitting there and let's say a 10 year
• 12:46
Speaker 1: old car. clean as can be, armor on the tires,
• 12:51
Speaker 1: waxed up. He's got a nicely pressed shirt on, iron,
• 12:54
Speaker 1: looks clean. And then you see some dude with a
• 12:57
Speaker 1: brand new car, dirty as hell. He got a raggedy
• 12:59
Speaker 1: wrinkled shirt on. Which dude are you going to think
• 13:03
Speaker 1: has more pride in himself and is going to treat
• 13:05
Speaker 1: you better? Morning, how's it going on?
• 13:08
  Speaker 4: Romeo, it's Deidre.
• 13:10
Speaker 1: Hey, what up, Deidre?
• 13:12
Speaker 7: Hey, Romeo, I agree with you on the vehicles and
• 13:16
  Speaker 7: the howls.
• 13:17
Speaker 1: In your front yard and all that.
• 13:19
Speaker 4: I say that stuff all the time. That's a reflection of, y'all,
• 13:23
Speaker 4: clean that crap up.
• 13:25
Speaker 7: Why do you want to walk around.
• 13:26
Speaker 4: Dirty like that? And then the cars. You know what
• 13:29
Speaker 4: I used to do? The car be clean and stuff,
• 13:31
Speaker 4: and then you got a friend with a kid.
• 13:33
Speaker 7: And the kid's feet all dirty and his friends all
• 13:37
Speaker 7: on the back of your seat.
• 13:38
Speaker 3: They don't even look at the car when they get
• 13:40
Speaker 3: their kid out to clean your car out.
• 13:42
Speaker 7: And I don't ever sit in the back seat.
• 13:45
Speaker 4: Why is my back seat always down?
• 13:48
Speaker 1: Deidre, you said you got a friend with a kid.
• 13:50
  Speaker 2: Yeah.
• 13:52
Speaker 7: Well, it's a shame I'm praying no more.
• 13:54
Speaker 4: But, yeah, it ain't because of the dirt.
• 13:57
Speaker 7: But, yeah, the shoes.
• 13:59
  Speaker 4: Yeah, yeah.
• 14:00
Speaker 5: They're just like, come on now, y'all.
• 14:03
  Speaker 1: Come on.
• 14:03
Speaker 4: And they be calling me bougie and stuff because I
• 14:05
Speaker 4: don't want my car dirty.
• 14:07
  Speaker 2: Yep. I ain't lying.
• 14:08
Speaker 1: You ain't lying. You are not lying. And then I
• 14:09
Speaker 1: ain't got no little bitty critters.
• 14:11
  Speaker 4: My kids grown.
• 14:12
Speaker 1: Yep. That is a representation of you, and it shows
• 14:15
Speaker 1: the pride you have in yourself. Not anybody judging you,
• 14:18
Speaker 1: but the pride you have in yourself.
• 14:21
Speaker 6: Exactly, and it's really disgusting for a female to bring
• 14:24
Speaker 6: her butt outside with some.
• 14:25
Speaker 4: Dirty tennis shoes on.
• 14:28
Speaker 2: Oh, my God. They're supposed to be white. Come on now.
• 14:33
Speaker 4: It's wrong women doing that right to this freaking day.
• 14:36
Speaker 1: They're wearing dirty shoes. All right, Deidre.
• 14:38
Speaker 3: I'm coming out. All right.
• 14:39
  Speaker 1: Thanks, Deidre. Bye.
• 14:41
  Speaker 2: Bye, baby.
• 14:42
  Speaker 6: Bye.
• 14:42
Speaker 1: I got to tell you something funny about Deidre. What
• 14:45
Speaker 1: made me laugh when she said, you got a friend
• 14:47
Speaker 1: with a kid. I didn't have no friends with no kids.
• 14:50
Speaker 1: When I was in my, you know, when I was
• 14:52
  Speaker 1: in my 20s and 30s, I didn't have no friends
• 14:55
Speaker 1: with kids. All my friends were... You know, I guess
• 14:58
Speaker 1: they're wrapping it up, but they didn't have no kids.
• 15:01
  Speaker 1: That's hilarious. She's afraid with a kid. R-A-4-2-5-4-7-7. Like I said, man,
• 15:08
Speaker 1: there are a few things that show how much pride
• 15:11
Speaker 1: you have in you. Not being judged, okay? Not because
• 15:16
Speaker 1: you're worried about other people judging you, but how you
• 15:18
Speaker 1: have pride in you. A car and how you keep
• 15:20
Speaker 1: it clean is one of them. Your car, no matter
• 15:23
Speaker 1: whether it's old or new. We've got to talk about
• 15:26
Speaker 1: fitness because Dickie's here from Muleana Fitness. Good morning, Dickie.
• 15:29
  Speaker 2: Hey, good morning.
• 15:30
Speaker 1: All right. So we work out with you four days
• 15:33
Speaker 1: a week. It's kind of a hybrid type, what, strength
• 15:37
Speaker 1: and conditioning type workouts?
• 15:39
Speaker 2: Yeah. It's a strength and conditioning program, high intensity. High intensity.
• 15:45
Speaker 2: I didn't know there was a word for it until recently.
• 15:48
Speaker 2: This Hyrox has come around. I guess it's called hybrid training.
• 15:51
Speaker 1: Hybrid training? I've been doing this for 15 years now.
• 15:53
Speaker 1: Hybrid training. That's a little bit of everything.
• 15:57
Speaker 2: It's compromised running, although our running is very much shorter
• 16:01
Speaker 2: than the actual race.
• 16:03
  Speaker 1: Yeah.
• 16:04
Speaker 2: It's just, you know, we're combining, you know, your strength,
• 16:07
Speaker 2: your agility, endurance, and a little bit of running here
• 16:11
Speaker 2: and there, aka some cardio. So it's not always running sometimes. Yeah.
• 16:15
Speaker 2: Jump ropes. Jump ropes. Bikes and things like that. But, yeah.
• 16:18
Speaker 2: It's a very good program to get an overall athlete conditioning.
• 16:22
Speaker 1: Now, let's talk about just about the conditioning part of it.
• 16:25
Speaker 1: In a session of, what is it, about 50 minutes, 45,
• 16:29
Speaker 1: 50 minutes, depending on what the workout is, it could
• 16:32
Speaker 1: be anywhere between four to six, seven exercises, something like that.
• 16:38
Speaker 1: And you can burn anywhere between 500 to 700 calories.
• 16:41
  Speaker 1: Within a 45-minute session.
• 16:43
Speaker 2: Oh, yeah. So you always want to see something that's
• 16:45
Speaker 2: about 10 calories per minute. That's kind of a good engagement.
• 16:49
Speaker 2: If you're trying to burn calories, obviously. If you're doing
• 16:52
Speaker 2: strength training, a little bit less. Pure cardio, probably a
• 16:55
Speaker 2: little bit more. But overall, you want to be about,
• 16:57
Speaker 2: give or take, 10 calories per minute.
• 16:59
Speaker 1: Now, when we talk about the classes, though, when you talk,
• 17:01
Speaker 1: there are some meatheads out there that just want to
• 17:03
Speaker 1: lift weights. And then there are some people out there
• 17:05
Speaker 1: who like to run and the cardio a little more.
• 17:07
Speaker 1: You can get both out of the workouts. I mean,
• 17:12
Speaker 1: if you want to lift heavier weights, you can lift
• 17:14
Speaker 1: heavier weights within the parameters of what the workout is
• 17:17
Speaker 1: to get that strength training in. And if you want
• 17:20
Speaker 1: to lean out a little more and you want to
• 17:22
Speaker 1: do a little more reps and less weight, you can
• 17:24
Speaker 1: do that as well. So the options, everything's available for
• 17:27
Speaker 1: you depending on what you're trying to do within one workout,
• 17:30
Speaker 1: even though it may look like, hey, that's a little
• 17:33
Speaker 1: more cardio. Yeah, but there's also … strength training within.
• 17:36
Speaker 2: Yeah, the whole program is, you know, look at, for example,
• 17:40
Speaker 2: NFL linemen, right? They don't really need to run that far, right?
• 17:44
Speaker 2: They're not like the receivers, things like that, but they
• 17:46
Speaker 2: still have to have a conditioning, you know, and running
• 17:48
Speaker 2: is a basic one, you know, conditioning 101 as far
• 17:51
Speaker 2: as endurance and, you know, upping your VO2 max and
• 17:55
Speaker 2: things like that. So we combine things, you know, I
• 17:58
Speaker 2: hate certain things. There's things that you hate to do.
• 18:02
Speaker 2: Everybody hates certain things. But you are forced to do
• 18:05
Speaker 2: it to become a better person, a better athlete.
• 18:09
Speaker 1: Yeah, Arnold and I were having that conversation yesterday about
• 18:11
Speaker 1: the workout. He doesn't like doing burpees, so he doesn't
• 18:15
Speaker 1: do as many burpees as he would, but he's okay
• 18:17
Speaker 1: with some of the other things, riding the bike, things
• 18:19
Speaker 1: like that that he could do. So hold on, Dickie.
• 18:22
Speaker 2: Give everybody your phone number, how they can hold you.
• 18:27
  Speaker 1: 661-444-3635.
• 18:27
Speaker 2: You can text me, call me, or find me on
• 18:29
Speaker 2: Instagram under Muleana Fitness.
• 18:31
Speaker 1: All right, so check them out. He'll let you try
• 18:33
Speaker 1: the classes out. I do want to talk a little
• 18:35
Speaker 1: bit very specifically about some of the exercises as it
• 18:38
Speaker 1: balances out between strength, conditioning. I want to talk to
• 18:41
Speaker 1: you guys about fitness. That's why Dickie is here from
• 18:43
  Speaker 1: Muleana Fitness.
• 18:44
  Speaker 2: 661-444-3635.
• 18:45
Speaker 1: And you can see him on Instagram at Muleana Fitness.
• 18:51
Speaker 1: Muleana Fitness. You can check him out there, and he'll
• 18:53
Speaker 1: show you the gym, the classes, and everything that's going on. Now,
• 18:56
Speaker 1: one of the things, there's a couple things I want
• 18:57
Speaker 1: to tell you about we're going to talk about. It's
• 18:59
Speaker 1: a class setting, so you do have other people that
• 19:02
Speaker 1: are in misery with you, and you have other people
• 19:05
Speaker 1: to talk to. If you bring a friend, you guys
• 19:08
Speaker 1: can talk through the whole class.
• 19:10
Speaker 2: Sometimes the friend that is sharing misery with somebody else
• 19:15
Speaker 2: kind of gets you through the workout.
• 19:17
Speaker 1: So just to recap real quick, it is a 45-
• 19:18
Speaker 1: to 50-minute class. It's about, you know, it can be
• 19:22
Speaker 1: anywhere from four exercises to maybe six exercises, seven, just
• 19:26
Speaker 1: depending on whatever the workout is. It's a combination of everything.
• 19:29
Speaker 1: It's not like the old school way of, okay, today's
• 19:32
Speaker 1: leg day, okay, today's. You do kind of blend everything
• 19:36
  Speaker 1: into it.
• 19:37
  Speaker 2: Yeah, I mean, it's, you know, it's a conditioning program.
• 19:41
Speaker 2: This is originally a conditioning program for athletes, you know,
• 19:45
Speaker 2: whether it's Major League Baseball, NFL, tennis, you name it.
• 19:50
Speaker 2: But it's... You can't just do one. You can't just
• 19:54
Speaker 2: do strength training. You can't just be the guy that
• 19:56
Speaker 2: just lifts weights. It can't also not be ideal to
• 20:00
Speaker 2: be just a runner. Even runners need to have strength training.
• 20:05
Speaker 2: Golfers need strength training. They have to do core training,
• 20:08
Speaker 2: which we do a lot of. We implement core training
• 20:11
Speaker 2: to a lot of our regimen on a daily basis.
• 20:17
Speaker 1: I do want to say this. People who have never
• 20:19
Speaker 1: done it before don't realize that you might do curls.
• 20:22
Speaker 1: Let's say you're a meathead and you want to do
• 20:26
Speaker 1: 50-pound curls. I don't know if anybody can do it.
• 20:28
Speaker 1: You can do that. But you also might have to
• 20:30
Speaker 1: run a tenth of a mile, which is not very
• 20:33
Speaker 1: far to run in one little session. whatever one time
• 20:38
Speaker 1: you're not running four miles or six miles. Like I
• 20:41
Speaker 1: see these guys get on the treadmill for two or
• 20:42
Speaker 1: three miles and then go work out. And I think, right.
• 20:45
  Speaker 4: Okay.
• 20:45
Speaker 1: That's just, it's monotonous. And, but these classes allow you
• 20:49
Speaker 1: to both. Now, maybe you're a runner and you don't
• 20:52
Speaker 1: want to lift 50 pound, you know, dumbbells. You can
• 20:56
Speaker 1: list 25 or 15 or whatever it is, you.
• 20:57
Speaker 2: Know, You know, I get a lot of questions. Do
• 21:00
Speaker 2: I have to be a good runner? Because they hear
• 21:02
Speaker 2: that we do some running.
• 21:04
Speaker 1: Oh, no, I'm terrible at running.
• 21:05
Speaker 2: Do you have to be a good runner? You have
• 21:07
Speaker 2: to just be slightly faster than walking.
• 21:11
  Speaker 1: Yeah, exactly.
• 21:12
Speaker 2: It is literally a 15-minute mile pace, which is... I mean,
• 21:18
Speaker 2: I've had my 400 pound clients that can do that,
• 21:20
Speaker 2: you know, just walk around a little bit, just speed walking.
• 21:24
Speaker 2: I'll get it there. So do you have to be
• 21:26
Speaker 2: a good runner? No, you don't have to be a
• 21:27
Speaker 2: good runner. But if you want to get more break, yeah,
• 21:31
Speaker 2: go learn a little faster.
• 21:32
  Speaker 3: Right.
• 21:32
Speaker 2: So depending on that. But no, you do not. The
• 21:35
Speaker 2: question of that of a lot of questions is you
• 21:37
Speaker 2: do not have to be a good runner. You just
• 21:38
Speaker 2: have to do a little cardio.
• 21:40
Speaker 1: What the classes do is they give you a perfect
• 21:42
Speaker 1: balance of cardio and strength. Now, if you're great at
• 21:46
Speaker 1: the strength, you can get through the cardio. If you're
• 21:49
Speaker 1: great at the cardio, you can get through the strength.
• 21:51
Speaker 1: That's really kind of what it comes down to. What
• 21:54
Speaker 1: you're good at, you can get through real easily. What
• 21:56
Speaker 1: you're not so good at, you'll get through it and
• 22:00
Speaker 1: you'll get a little better at it.
• 22:01
Speaker 2: And that's exactly the reason for the program is originally
• 22:04
Speaker 2: when I started my training facility, is I would just say, hey,
• 22:11
Speaker 2: this is the workout. Go for it, right? You're on
• 22:15
Speaker 2: your own. You have a 15-minute running clock. Go for it.
• 22:17
Speaker 2: And I had this one particular client who was at
• 22:20
Speaker 2: the end of every single one when I had burpees
• 22:23
Speaker 2: and any workout that had burpees, he would only do
• 22:26
Speaker 2: like three rounds out of the 10.
• 22:28
Speaker 1: Out of the 10, yeah.
• 22:29
Speaker 2: And I said, what happened? He said, well, I really
• 22:32
Speaker 2: struggle with burpees, but I don't want to skip, so
• 22:34
Speaker 2: I just stuck with it. Yeah. And he wasted a
• 22:36
Speaker 2: lot of time, so then... We made it to the
• 22:38
Speaker 2: point where we had intervals. We had a certain time
• 22:41
Speaker 2: for a certain amount of reps.
• 22:42
  Speaker 1: Yeah.
• 22:42
Speaker 2: You can't do it? Move on to the next one.
• 22:44
Speaker 1: Move on to the next one. That way you get everything.
• 22:46
Speaker 2: You're never left behind. All right.
• 22:48
Speaker 1: Dickie Mugliana, Mugliana Fitness, 444-3635.
• 22:52
  Speaker 6: 3635.
• 22:52
Speaker 1: Check him out on Instagram. You can see the gym.
• 22:56
Speaker 1: The gym's a beautiful gym. There's equipment for everybody. You
• 22:58
Speaker 1: don't really have to share anything, so it works out great.
• 23:01
Speaker 1: Dickie's here from Mugliana Fitness. We work out with him
• 23:03
Speaker 1: four days a week, Monday through Thursday. He has five sessions.
• 23:07
Speaker 1: They are 45 to 50-minute sessions. So they start on time.
• 23:11
Speaker 1: They end on time. You're in. You're out. You get
• 23:13
Speaker 1: it done. It's not a bad deal, though.
• 23:16
Speaker 2: So we have five sessions, 5, 6, and 8.30 for
• 23:18
Speaker 2: the morning sessions, 5 and 6 for the evening sessions.
• 23:21
Speaker 2: They are 50-minute sessions. They are group training. Co-ed, they
• 23:26
Speaker 2: are men and women combined, young and old. It doesn't
• 23:29
Speaker 2: really matter. Everybody has their own spots. Everybody's guaranteed a
• 23:34
Speaker 2: training time every single day. So there's no online booking required.
• 23:39
Speaker 2: You're always welcome to crash any other time that is
• 23:42
  Speaker 2: not your time.
• 23:44
  Speaker 1: Assuming there's availability.
• 23:45
Speaker 2: Assuming, right. But almost, I've never had 100% attendance because
• 23:52
Speaker 2: their life happens and, you know, that's exactly what happens.
• 23:54
  Speaker 3: Yeah.
• 23:55
Speaker 1: And just so you guys know, when we say class setting,
• 23:59
Speaker 1: it's not like a Zumba or something like that where
• 24:02
Speaker 1: you can get left behind if you don't know what's
• 24:05
Speaker 1: going on. You cannot get left behind in these classes
• 24:08
Speaker 1: because the way they're timed, the way they're structured, even
• 24:11
Speaker 1: if you're not good at something, you always get to
• 24:13
  Speaker 1: move on.
• 24:14
Speaker 2: Yeah, and you're almost never lost unless your neighbor is
• 24:17
Speaker 2: lost and I'm not looking at you. You're never lost
• 24:21
Speaker 2: because everybody in the class is doing the exact same
• 24:23
Speaker 2: exercise at the same time. So everybody goes through this
• 24:28
Speaker 2: training program together. And so if you need help and
• 24:31
Speaker 2: you kind of need guidance, it's always there.
• 24:34
Speaker 1: A couple of small things, or they're big things, but
• 24:37
Speaker 1: just so you guys know, if you need meal plans...
• 24:39
Speaker 1: Dickie will help you out with that based on what
• 24:41
Speaker 1: you like to eat, based on what you're trying to do,
• 24:43
Speaker 1: whether build muscle, lose weight, use a polar monitoring system,
• 24:47
Speaker 1: very accurate to know exactly how many calories you've burned.
• 24:52
Speaker 1: So you know how many calories you could eat. That's
• 24:55
Speaker 1: very important for those of us that are losing weight.
• 24:57
Speaker 1: And so it is, there's a lot of science to it.
• 25:01
Speaker 1: And it is, if you're really looking to accomplish whatever
• 25:03
Speaker 1: it is, maybe you're You know, maybe you want to
• 25:06
Speaker 1: go into the police academy or you're going to, I mean,
• 25:08
Speaker 1: even Doc, Doc was going into the military and Doc
• 25:11
Speaker 1: worked out with us for a few months to get
• 25:13
Speaker 1: him to drop that weight that he needed to for
• 25:15
Speaker 1: the military. And I mean, so there's a lot of,
• 25:18
Speaker 1: for a lot of you guys that are going to
• 25:19
  Speaker 1: physical jobs.
• 25:20
Speaker 2: Yeah. I mean, we had a, we hosted as a
• 25:25
Speaker 2: workout for applicants for CHP a couple of weeks ago
• 25:29
Speaker 2: and it is exactly what they needed. They needed the
• 25:31
Speaker 2: high intensity training. you know, combining with strength, core, and
• 25:36
Speaker 2: their running endurance, that was something, part of their test, right?
• 25:40
Speaker 2: Their physical test they had to do, and we covered
• 25:43
Speaker 2: it all, and all within a one-hour session.
• 25:46
  Speaker 4: Yeah.
• 25:47
Speaker 2: On a Saturday. So we do that for all pretty
• 25:51
Speaker 2: much law enforcement and military, which is usually perfect. Firefighters.
• 25:55
Speaker 1: You guys are going into that field.
• 25:56
Speaker 2: Any public service that has to do with physical job
• 26:00
Speaker 2: is exactly what is intended for.
• 26:02
  Speaker 5: Sure.
• 26:03
Speaker 1: You guys give Dickie a call. 444-3635. That is the
• 26:07
Speaker 1: phone number. Or check him out on Muleana Fitness, Dickie.
• 26:10
Speaker 1: We'll talk to you later.
• 26:11
  Speaker 5: You got it.
• 26:11
Speaker 1: We'll see you on Monday. Oh, no, Monday's a holiday.
• 26:13
Speaker 1: We'll see you on Monday. All right.
• 26:14
Speaker 2: I'll see you on Monday. I'll still be there. Let's go.
• 26:16
Speaker 1: When I got up this morning at 3, I had
• 26:19
Speaker 1: three missed messages from like midnight. And I listened to
• 26:23
Speaker 1: them this morning, and it's one of my buddies, a boy.
• 26:27
Speaker 1: My boy, Ed, he lives down in San Diego, right? Well,
• 26:29
Speaker 1: he calls me, and I didn't answer, obviously, so he
• 26:32
Speaker 1: left me three messages. Three times he called me in
• 26:35
Speaker 1: a row. And he proceeds to tell me about one
• 26:37
Speaker 1: of our friends, James. So my buddy James, check out,
• 26:39
Speaker 1: my buddy James and his wife, he caught his wife
• 26:42
Speaker 1: cheating on her. And they lived here in California.
• 26:45
  Speaker 2: Yeah.
• 26:46
Speaker 1: And they actually lived in San Diego. That's with my
• 26:50
Speaker 1: other buddy Ed. They lived in the same area. His
• 26:53
Speaker 1: wife cheated, and they had a kid together. Well, James
• 26:57
Speaker 1: and his wife had a kid together. And so then
• 27:02
Speaker 1: she ends up cheating on him. And so they split up.
• 27:07
Speaker 1: They break up. They get divorced, right? This happened a year,
• 27:09
Speaker 1: 18 months ago, maybe two years ago, something like that, right?
• 27:13
Speaker 1: So she decides that she's going to go move to,
• 27:16
Speaker 1: I think it was Michigan is where she lives now.
• 27:18
Speaker 1: They moved to Michigan, right? Her and her kid are
• 27:20
Speaker 1: going to move to Michigan. Well, James didn't want to
• 27:23
Speaker 1: be away from his kid, so he moved also. Not
• 27:27
Speaker 1: to be with her, not to save it, but he
• 27:28
Speaker 1: just wanted to be around his son. So they moved
• 27:31
Speaker 1: to Michigan. So this is so ridiculous. So now let
• 27:37
Speaker 1: me tell you this. A lot of my friends make
• 27:39
Speaker 1: really good money. They're all college-educated dudes, went to, you know,
• 27:42
Speaker 1: And are very successful. So James just moved his business
• 27:45
Speaker 1: over to me. Well, apparently his ex had started dating
• 27:49
Speaker 1: some dude. She was living with them. They were having
• 27:53
Speaker 1: a relationship. Everything was going great between her and the guy.
• 27:56
Speaker 1: I guess James said the dude was cool. He didn't
• 27:58
Speaker 1: even have a problem with him. And his kid being
• 28:00
Speaker 1: around him. So everything was going great. She ends up
• 28:04
Speaker 1: cheating on him. So now she loses her meal ticket
• 28:08
Speaker 1: with this new guy. Well, now this is where everything
• 28:12
Speaker 1: got wild and why I got three phone calls in
• 28:15
Speaker 1: a row from my buddy Ed. Because after this new
• 28:21
Speaker 1: guy kicked the girl and the kid out of the house,
• 28:24
Speaker 1: she runs back to my buddy James. And James takes
• 28:27
Speaker 1: him in, right? This is where my boy Ed is
• 28:31
Speaker 1: just flipping out. Calls me, oh, you got to call him.
• 28:34
Speaker 1: You got to talk to him. I can't believe he's
• 28:35
Speaker 1: doing this. What's wrong? She's going to manipulate him, blah, blah, blah.
• 28:40
Speaker 1: James is 45 years old, okay? He is not some
• 28:45
Speaker 1: dumb kid. And it sounds to me like he's just trying... Now,
• 28:49
  Speaker 1: I haven't talked.
• 28:50
  Speaker 2: To him yet.
• 28:50
Speaker 1: Like I said, this all just happened today. So, I
• 28:55
Speaker 1: called Ed back this morning when I got up and
• 28:57
Speaker 1: told him to calm down. What's wrong with you? Relax.
• 29:00
Speaker 1: Why are you flipping out over James? He's a grown-ass man,
• 29:03
  Speaker 1: you know?
• 29:06
  Speaker 2: And.
• 29:07
Speaker 1: He obviously doesn't want his kid on the street. So
• 29:11
Speaker 1: part of doing that means you got to take in
• 29:13
Speaker 1: the ex or who cheated on you. What are you
• 29:16
Speaker 1: going to do? Let your kid live on the street?
• 29:19
Speaker 1: I mean, and then I just thought to myself, why
• 29:23
Speaker 1: do you care, Ed? Why are you so wound up
• 29:27
Speaker 1: over this? I understand we've been friends for 20-something years,
• 29:31
Speaker 1: 20-plus years we've all been friends, probably longer than that
• 29:34
Speaker 1: since we were in high school. But What in the
• 29:38
Speaker 1: hell is wrong with you, man? Why do you care?
• 29:42
  Speaker 1: He's a grown-ass man. He'll be fine. You think they're
• 29:48
Speaker 1: going to get back together? I mean, what do you
• 29:50
Speaker 1: think's happening? He's just trying to make sure his kid's
• 29:53
Speaker 1: not living in the street because his mom's an idiot.
• 29:58
Speaker 1: So what do you.
• 30:01
Speaker 1: Sometimes you people need to mind your own business. I
• 30:02
Speaker 1: know the internet has made it very hard to do
• 30:04
Speaker 1: that nowadays, but sometimes you need to just mind your
• 30:07
Speaker 1: own business. He's going to be fine. Rd4254727. Why do
• 30:15
Speaker 1: you people care so much? Think about what is it
• 30:20
Speaker 1: really going to do to my buddy Ed? Let's say
• 30:24
Speaker 1: my boy James gets screwed over all over again in
• 30:26
Speaker 1: some capacity. How does it affect Ed? It's like a
• 30:31
Speaker 1: math problem, huh? If train A leaves at 2 and
• 30:34
Speaker 1: train B leaves at 3.15, why do you care? At
• 30:38
Speaker 1: least to the extent that you're going to call me
• 30:40
Speaker 1: three damn times at midnight. You guys need to get
• 30:45
Speaker 1: a life. So, yeah, one of my friends called me
• 30:48
Speaker 1: today three times, calls me three times in the middle
• 30:53
Speaker 1: of the night to tell me that a friend of
• 30:55
Speaker 1: ours who moved to Michigan, I think it was Michigan,
• 30:59
Speaker 1: moved to Michigan to be around his son. So what
• 31:00
Speaker 1: happened was my boy, James, they were living in San
• 31:03
Speaker 1: Diego and he does very well for himself. Um, so he, uh,
• 31:08
Speaker 1: his wife ends up cheating on him. They have a
• 31:10
Speaker 1: kid together. The wife, James and the wife have a
• 31:12
Speaker 1: kid together. The wife cheats on him. She decides she's
• 31:14
Speaker 1: going to move to Michigan for some reason. And, um,
• 31:18
Speaker 1: So he decides he's going to move over there, too.
• 31:20
Speaker 1: He's going to move out to Michigan to be closer
• 31:21
Speaker 1: to his son. He doesn't want to not be around
• 31:23
Speaker 1: his son. So he does all that. Apparently, she was
• 31:26
Speaker 1: with a guy who was taking care of her. Now,
• 31:27
Speaker 1: this woman's not really the working type. She's more of
• 31:29
Speaker 1: the marrying type. But apparently, she's not faithful. So this
• 31:34
Speaker 1: guy that she was living with, taking care of, and
• 31:36
Speaker 1: Bam said he was a great guy, was taking care
• 31:38
Speaker 1: of her and the kid. And he was seeing his son.
• 31:42
Speaker 1: And she ends up cheating on this guy. So now
• 31:43
  Speaker 1: she's thrown out.
• 31:45
  Speaker 4: So.
• 31:45
Speaker 1: My boy Ed calls me to yell at me. Not
• 31:47
Speaker 1: to yell at me, but you've got to tell James.
• 31:49
Speaker 1: You've got to call James. You've got to be like,
• 31:51
Speaker 1: I've got to do a damn thing. James is a
• 31:53
Speaker 1: grown-ass man. And so what happened was James let his
• 31:57
Speaker 1: ex and his kid move in with him or stay
• 32:04
Speaker 1: with him for now. My boy Ed's flipping out. He
• 32:08
Speaker 1: never should have done it. She's going to get back
• 32:09
Speaker 1: and manipulate him. Who cares? My God. It's his kid.
• 32:15
Speaker 1: What do you want to do? Leave your kid hanging?
• 32:19
Speaker 1: I mean, what do you want to do? What do
• 32:20
Speaker 1: you want him to do? You know? Yeah. R-D-4-2-5-4-7-7.
• 32:27
  Speaker 4: Yo, Rome.
• 32:29
Speaker 1: What he needs to do is you take the kid
• 32:31
Speaker 1: in and leave the hoe for the streets. Is that
• 32:35
  Speaker 1: even possible?
• 32:37
  Speaker 2: I don't know.
• 32:37
Speaker 1: What are the laws? What are the, there's laws, right?
• 32:40
Speaker 1: Doesn't the mom always get the kid? I don't know
• 32:41
Speaker 1: what the laws are for getting your kid. I agree
• 32:44
Speaker 1: with you. I guess he could have done that. You know,
• 32:46
Speaker 1: just taking the kid and let her hang out in
• 32:48
Speaker 1: the streets. I get it. But, uh, legally, can you
• 32:52
Speaker 1: do that as the father? Can you, the mom has
• 32:54
  Speaker 1: to agree, right? I don't, I've known her. I know,
• 32:58
  Speaker 1: I know James's ex and she's, uh, you know, she's
• 33:02
Speaker 1: not just, um, you know, Basshead, living on the streets,
• 33:05
Speaker 1: jumping from guy to guy. She lives pretty high society.
• 33:08
Speaker 1: She jumps from Richmond. My boy's got real money. And
• 33:14
Speaker 1: the next guy she had, this guy apparently that she
• 33:16
Speaker 1: was with, that she was cheating on that kicked her out,
• 33:19
Speaker 1: had real money too. So she's not picking up schlubs.
• 33:24
Speaker 1: I don't even know if you can do that, right?
• 33:26
  Speaker 2: Can you?
• 33:27
Speaker 1: Can you do that? I mean, what do you guys do?
• 33:31
Speaker 1: And you know, it's funny that you say that because
• 33:32
Speaker 1: there's a lot of you idiots here in Bakersfield that
• 33:35
Speaker 1: take care of your son's mother out of obligation or
• 33:38
Speaker 1: your child's baby mama because you feel some obligation to
• 33:41
Speaker 1: take care of that person because they have your kids.
• 33:44
Speaker 1: So can you blame my boy for doing it? I
• 33:47
Speaker 1: don't know. Man, what a long night I had. Well,
• 33:50
Speaker 1: I guess it wasn't too long, but I woke up
• 33:53
Speaker 1: this morning to three messages from a friend of mine.
• 33:56
Speaker 1: My boy Ed was trying to tell me what happened.
• 33:59
Speaker 1: And apparently it couldn't wait till, you know, I get
• 34:01
  Speaker 1: up at 3 a.m. It couldn't wait till 3 a.m.
• 34:04
Speaker 1: He had to call me in the middle of the
• 34:05
Speaker 1: night to let me know. Just frantic, just panicking. It
• 34:07
Speaker 1: was so stupid, so ridiculous. A friend of ours, a
• 34:14
Speaker 1: friend of ours named James, he moved to Michigan a
• 34:19
Speaker 1: while back because him and his ex, him and his ex,
• 34:22
Speaker 1: his baby mama, she cheated on him. So she decided
• 34:25
Speaker 1: to move out of state. So he followed her. He'd
• 34:28
Speaker 1: be closer to his son. He didn't want to live.
• 34:31
Speaker 1: He didn't want to be this far away from his kid.
• 34:34
Speaker 1: He wanted to be around him every day. So he
• 34:36
Speaker 1: just picked up and moved, and he could. He has
• 34:38
Speaker 1: a great business, very successful business that he does. He
• 34:40
Speaker 1: could just move. It was no big deal for him.
• 34:44
Speaker 1: But she shacked up with another dude. Another dude, she
• 34:46
  Speaker 1: was a stay-at-home wife, stay-at-home whatever. I don't think they
• 34:50
Speaker 1: ever married, but stay-at-home. And so she ended up cheating
• 34:54
Speaker 1: on this guy. Well, the guy caught her, kicked her out.
• 34:57
Speaker 1: Now she's got nowhere to go. She called up my
• 34:59
Speaker 1: boy James. That's why my other friend was calling me
• 35:02
Speaker 1: so frantic. Oh, my God, he's taking her back. She
• 35:05
Speaker 1: got kicked out, so now they're staying with him now.
• 35:07
Speaker 1: And I'm like, okay, first of all, why do you
• 35:09
Speaker 1: give a damn? Whatever he does does not affect you
• 35:12
Speaker 1: one bit at all. Second of all, and this is
• 35:18
Speaker 1: the most important of all, why the hell are you
• 35:20
Speaker 1: calling me at midnight three times in a row to
• 35:23
Speaker 1: tell me that I need to call him and talk
• 35:25
Speaker 1: to him? You know? I mean, okay, I'll call him.
• 35:30
Speaker 1: I'll talk to him. But I'm not going to talk
• 35:32
Speaker 1: to him like you think I am. I mean, my
• 35:35
Speaker 1: thought when I heard it all was, my first thought was, okay,
• 35:40
Speaker 1: he doesn't want his kid on the street. The mom
• 35:43
Speaker 1: screwed up again. She got kicked out, lost her man,
• 35:46
Speaker 1: and he doesn't want his kid on the street. So
• 35:49
Speaker 1: I guess part of that is taking in the mom also. Now,
• 35:52
Speaker 1: somebody else said, well, taking the kid, leave the mom hanging.
• 35:54
Speaker 1: I don't know if you can do that, but I
• 35:56
Speaker 1: don't know. Um, he's not really that type of guy.
• 35:59
Speaker 1: He's kind of a good guy. So maybe that's why
• 36:01
Speaker 1: I don't know, but it's not that huge of a deal. Okay.
• 36:08
Speaker 1: And it's not so, uh, important for you to be
• 36:12
Speaker 1: so wound up in the way that my buddy is.
• 36:14
Speaker 1: It's just stupid. Hey, good morning, Rome. Uh, to answer
• 36:18
Speaker 1: your question, you're in California. Yes. It's bad for the
• 36:22
Speaker 1: dad girls, but yeah, but they don't live in California.
• 36:26
Speaker 1: They I think it's Michigan now. It's bad for the dad.
• 36:31
Speaker 1: Girl is way more right when it comes to the kids,
• 36:33
Speaker 1: but other places have, oh, I see what you're saying. Sorry,
• 36:35
Speaker 1: I didn't finish it. Other places have different regulations. I
• 36:41
  Speaker 1: don't know about where she's living. I didn't hear where
• 36:45
Speaker 1: you said she was staying at. Oh, they're in Michigan.
• 36:48
Speaker 1: They're in Michigan, some little rich suburb of, I don't know,
• 36:53
Speaker 1: somewhere in Michigan. I don't know. I've never been there. So,
• 36:58
Speaker 1: I mean, I talk to James pretty frequently because him
• 37:00
Speaker 1: and I are... You know how it goes. When you
• 37:03
Speaker 1: have a large group of friends, some friends are closer
• 37:06
Speaker 1: to others than... You're all still friends, but within that group,
• 37:09
Speaker 1: some people are a little closer. Him and I are
• 37:11
Speaker 1: a little closer. But... So I guess this all happened
• 37:18
Speaker 1: within the last day or two. And I haven't had
• 37:20
Speaker 1: a chance to talk to him about it, but apparently
• 37:22
Speaker 1: my other boy found out and is just losing his
• 37:24
  Speaker 1: mind over it.
• 37:26
  Speaker 4: Which.
• 37:27
Speaker 1: I don't know why. I mean, what is wrong with
• 37:30
Speaker 1: you people? First of all, everybody needs to relax, okay?
• 37:33
Speaker 1: And second of all, if his only option, and I
• 37:38
Speaker 1: don't know what the rules are, but if his only
• 37:40
Speaker 1: option to keep his kid out of a shelter or
• 37:43
Speaker 1: off the streets or whatever is to take in his ex,
• 37:50
Speaker 1: who's his baby mama, his ex-wife, who's his baby mama,
• 37:53
Speaker 1: then what do you care? What's he going to lose?
• 37:59
Speaker 1: I mean, seriously. A buddy of mine called me about
• 38:01
Speaker 1: another buddy of mine who apparently the other buddy of
• 38:07
Speaker 1: mine has an ex-wife with a kid. They had a
• 38:10
Speaker 1: kid together. Ex-wife who cheated on him. So he divorced her.
• 38:16
Speaker 1: She has the kid. She moved out to another state.
• 38:19
Speaker 1: And she was living with another guy who was taking
• 38:21
Speaker 1: care of her. And she cheated on him. She got
• 38:25
Speaker 1: kicked out. her and the son were out on the streets.
• 38:28
Speaker 1: My boy James said, come stay with me. And now
• 38:31
Speaker 1: another friend of ours is just all up in arms
• 38:34
Speaker 1: about it. I can't believe he did it. Good morning,
• 38:36
Speaker 1: how's it going on?
• 38:37
Speaker 7: Hey, what up, bro?
• 38:37
Speaker 1: Hey, what up, brother?
• 38:39
Speaker 7: Hey, bro, I believe I can speak on this because
• 38:41
Speaker 7: I've been in this situation before.
• 38:42
  Speaker 2: Okay.
• 38:45
Speaker 7: Mind you, he's a good dude. Now, me at a
• 38:47
Speaker 7: younger age, I would have been like, hell no, just
• 38:50
Speaker 7: drop the kid off and I'll figure it out to
• 38:54
Speaker 7: the mom. But, Like I said, he's probably a good dude,
• 38:58
  Speaker 7: you know?
• 38:59
Speaker 1: Well, can you... I don't know if you can even
• 39:01
Speaker 1: do that legally, right? If she says no, then you can't...
• 39:05
  Speaker 1: There's nothing... You can't legally.
• 39:06
  Speaker 4: Do that, right?
• 39:08
Speaker 7: Well, no, I mean, I've dealt with child support and
• 39:11
  Speaker 7: all that.
• 39:13
Speaker 4: Okay, okay, okay, okay, okay.
• 39:15
Speaker 7: Whatever they have, you know, and maybe your friend is
• 39:18
Speaker 7: so mad because... Because... You know, he got this dirty,
• 39:24
Speaker 7: and he was in maybe the banks.
• 39:25
  Speaker 4: I don't know the story.
• 39:26
Speaker 1: Well, I'm going to put it to you like this,
• 39:28
Speaker 1: and I'm going to be honest with you.
• 39:29
  Speaker 4: About.
• 39:30
Speaker 1: Of all my friends, about nine out of ten of
• 39:32
Speaker 1: them had all been done dirty by some broad. But
• 39:35
Speaker 1: it's not because they didn't deserve it.
• 39:39
Speaker 7: No, yeah, but what I'm saying is, like, the guy,
• 39:43
Speaker 7: your other friend that's calling you, that's probably why he'd
• 39:46
Speaker 7: make no more. That's probably why he's freaking out. At
• 39:48
Speaker 7: the end of the day, it's none of his business.
• 39:50
Speaker 7: Now that I'm older and it's been, like, you know,
• 39:52
Speaker 7: my son's mom, you know, went through some stuff, and
• 39:55
Speaker 7: I'm like, yo, like... You know, I pay child support.
• 39:57
Speaker 7: You know, I do the stuff. You know, hey, I
• 39:59
Speaker 7: have a one bedroom apartment. Like, I ain't got much,
• 40:01
Speaker 7: but you ain't got nowhere to go. You and the
• 40:03
Speaker 7: kids can have the room.
• 40:04
  Speaker 2: Sure.
• 40:04
Speaker 7: I'll sleep on the couch, you know, and then because
• 40:07
Speaker 7: at the end of the day, you got to set
• 40:09
Speaker 7: an example for your kids. You know, like, I don't
• 40:11
Speaker 7: disrespect my son's mom. I don't talk about her bad
• 40:14
Speaker 7: in front of my son, like at all, really, you know,
• 40:16
Speaker 7: now that I'm older. Yeah. So the other guy, you'd
• 40:20
Speaker 7: like me to relax. It's not your business.
• 40:22
Speaker 1: Yeah, Ed does need to calm down. He gets a
• 40:24
Speaker 1: little excitable, though. He's a little excitable.
• 40:26
  Speaker 4: And who knows?
• 40:27
Speaker 7: The other negative part, if he has a woman, which,
• 40:30
Speaker 7: I mean, maybe he does, but that might affect his relationship,
• 40:33
Speaker 7: letting her move in, you know?
• 40:35
Speaker 1: Oh, you know what? He does not. No, he doesn't
• 40:37
  Speaker 1: have a woman. No, he doesn't have a woman. I
• 40:41
Speaker 1: don't know how long they're staying. It all just happened
• 40:43
Speaker 1: last night or the night before. So I have no idea.
• 40:47
Speaker 7: I'm saying like if he does have a woman, that
• 40:49
Speaker 7: might affect his relationship.
• 40:50
Speaker 1: But if he doesn't, who knows?
• 40:52
  Speaker 7: Maybe she understands.
• 40:54
Speaker 4: Like, you know what? I had a good thing.
• 40:57
Speaker 7: It's time for me to start over, and maybe his
• 40:58
Speaker 7: family can get back together, you know?
• 41:00
  Speaker 1: Oh, no, she's a cheating whore. She's a cheating whore.
• 41:03
Speaker 1: She's done just like the third or fourth dude she
• 41:04
  Speaker 1: done cheated on.
• 41:05
  Speaker 4: No, it ain't.
• 41:05
  Speaker 1: No, it ain't.
• 41:07
Speaker 4: Oh, not a repetitive cycle?
• 41:08
Speaker 2: Yeah, he's a way better dude than I am.
• 41:11
Speaker 1: He ain't getting back together. I mean, he might hit
• 41:13
Speaker 1: it while she's living there, but he ain't getting back together.
• 41:15
Speaker 1: No way in heck he's doing that.
• 41:17
  Speaker 3: No way.
• 41:19
Speaker 1: But I'll find out. I'll call him today and find
• 41:21
Speaker 1: out what's going on. All right, man. Thanks for calling.
• 41:25
  Speaker 4: Hey, if that's a repeated cycle, he's a better dude
• 41:27
Speaker 4: than I was. I'm going to close the door on
• 41:28
Speaker 4: her like a baby boy. Get out of here.
• 41:30
Speaker 1: Nope. Yeah, all right, man. I mean, what are you
• 41:34
Speaker 1: going to do, bro? You don't want your kid on
• 41:36
Speaker 1: the street. But then again, you don't, you know, what
• 41:39
Speaker 1: are you supposed to do? All right, 842-547-7277. I always
• 41:45
Speaker 1: love it when people tell me I'm stupid. Rome, you're
• 41:47
Speaker 1: just some sort of simp. I bet your boy's the
• 41:49
Speaker 1: same way. Gonna let his ex back in the house
• 41:52
Speaker 1: after she cheated on him. Kid or no kid, I
• 41:55
Speaker 1: would never let it happen. Well, it's just because you're
• 41:57
  Speaker 1: a punk-ass dude. I mean, you're just a punk-ass dude.
• 42:01
Speaker 1: That's why. Because the reality is this. If you're a
• 42:05
Speaker 1: real dude, if you're a real man, you know, you'll
• 42:07
Speaker 1: handle yours. And even if you get done dirty, you
• 42:11
Speaker 1: just move on. And you rise above it. And if
• 42:14
Speaker 1: you've got to take care of your kid in whatever
• 42:18
Speaker 1: capacity that means, and you feel like you're getting screwed
• 42:20
Speaker 1: over by child support, you're just a punk-ass dude. Take
• 42:23
Speaker 1: care of the kid. Make sure the kid has it.
• 42:25
Speaker 1: And go make more. And go live a better life.
• 42:28
Speaker 1: What is wrong with you? Man up. A big tragedy
• 42:30
Speaker 1: in my friend group overnight, I found out. A buddy
• 42:34
Speaker 1: of mine, Ed, he calls me middle of the night. Now,
• 42:38
Speaker 1: I don't have my phone, so if you call me
• 42:40
Speaker 1: in the middle of the night, I'm not going to
• 42:41
Speaker 1: get it until I wake up in the morning, okay?
• 42:43
Speaker 1: So he calls me three times, leaves me three separate messages.
• 42:46
Speaker 1: A friend of ours who moved to Michigan to follow
• 42:48
Speaker 1: his kid. A friend of ours who lived down in
• 42:50
Speaker 1: San Diego. His wife cheats on him. They have a
• 42:54
Speaker 1: son together. His wife cheats on him. He divorces her.
• 42:58
Speaker 1: She ends up going out to Michigan for some reason.
• 43:00
Speaker 1: I don't remember the reason why. And she's living with
• 43:03
Speaker 1: some other dude who, once again, is taking care of her.
• 43:05
Speaker 1: She's living, you know, she's being the housewife or whatever.
• 43:09
  Speaker 1: I don't know if they were married either. I don't
• 43:10
Speaker 1: think they were married though. She ends up cheating on
• 43:12
Speaker 1: this guy. And, um, you know, it's funny by the way,
• 43:17
Speaker 1: I'm gonna tell you real quick. What's funny. She cheated
• 43:19
Speaker 1: on my, my buddy James and this other guy, both
• 43:23
Speaker 1: because they work too much. That was her logic for
• 43:26
Speaker 1: cheating is, uh, they work too much. At least that's what,
• 43:29
Speaker 1: that's why she said she cheated on my boy was
• 43:31
Speaker 1: because he was always at work. But Why do these
• 43:34
Speaker 1: dumbass women, you want to have this life of luxury
• 43:37
Speaker 1: where you don't have to go to work and you
• 43:39
Speaker 1: can just buy whatever you want and stay at home
• 43:41
Speaker 1: all day and do whatever you want. But yet then
• 43:43
Speaker 1: you're going to get mad because the dude that's paying
• 43:45
Speaker 1: for all that has to go to work and pay
• 43:47
Speaker 1: for all that. And then you're going to do them dirty.
• 43:49
Speaker 1: And that's basically what she did. So James moves out
• 43:52
Speaker 1: to Michigan to, you know, be around his son. He
• 43:56
Speaker 1: didn't want to be that far away. Moved to the
• 43:58
Speaker 1: same town, whatever. Everything's going good. So I guess she
• 44:01
Speaker 1: got thrown out because she cheated on this other dude,
• 44:04
Speaker 1: got kicked out. Now she needs a place to stay.
• 44:07
Speaker 1: So what did he do? He let his son and
• 44:09
Speaker 1: her move in with him for now. Well, stay with him.
• 44:12
Speaker 1: I don't know they moved in, but it's only happened
• 44:14
Speaker 1: a few days ago. So it's a big uproar in
• 44:20
Speaker 1: my friends' group. Everybody's, oh, my God, I can't believe
• 44:22
Speaker 1: you did this, blah, blah, blah. Bro, you got to
• 44:24
Speaker 1: call him. You got to talk to him because you're
• 44:26
Speaker 1: his best friend, blah, blah, blah. I'm like, yeah, I
• 44:29
  Speaker 1: don't care. I actually don't care. If that's what he's
• 44:33
Speaker 1: going to do, then that's what he's going to do.
• 44:34
Speaker 1: He's a grown ass man with his own money. Right?
• 44:38
Speaker 1: So what do you think is going to happen? And
• 44:39
Speaker 1: why are you worried about it? To me, he's just
• 44:41
Speaker 1: getting his kid out the street. You know, he just
• 44:43
Speaker 1: wants his kid to have a place to stay. And
• 44:47
Speaker 1: not be up here, you know. Yeah. Already 4254727. Hey, Rome.
• 44:55
Speaker 1: I'm sure he didn't want his ex to take their
• 44:58
Speaker 1: son and move back out of the state again. If
• 45:01
Speaker 1: she had nowhere else to go, that's a great point.
• 45:05
Speaker 1: She already got, she already cheated on him and headed
• 45:08
Speaker 1: out of state with their son. So he had to
• 45:10
Speaker 1: go follow her to be a son or follow his son.
• 45:12
Speaker 1: And now she done cheated again and blew it all
• 45:15
Speaker 1: up again. So you might be right. Maybe he just,
• 45:18
Speaker 1: you know, trying to keep his son as stable as
• 45:20
Speaker 1: possible for now. And if the cost of doing business
• 45:24
Speaker 1: is making sure his ex isn't out on the streets,
• 45:26
Speaker 1: then that's the cost of doing business, you know? Why
• 45:30
Speaker 1: are you worried about it? Why do you care? I don't.
• 45:33
  Speaker 1: I mean, I'll give him a call today and I'll
• 45:35
Speaker 1: talk to him about it, but I just don't care.
• 45:37
Speaker 1: You got to deal with these. Why are you people
• 45:38
Speaker 1: always up in everybody's business? Why are you always, you know,
• 45:42
Speaker 1: we had this conversation with Michael Bean the other day.
• 45:45
Speaker 1: Why are you people always judging somebody else's life based on,
• 45:51
Speaker 1: you know, the way you do things? He's just trying
• 45:55
Speaker 1: to take care of his son, in my opinion. Now,
• 45:57
Speaker 1: if his ex, you know, cheating baby mama, benefits from
• 46:03
Speaker 1: that in some capacity, what are you going to do?
• 46:07
Speaker 1: You know? You got to make sure the kid, he
• 46:11
Speaker 1: moved to another state. This is a California-raised boy. He
• 46:14
Speaker 1: moved to another state to be close to his son.
• 46:20
Speaker 1: What do you think he's going to do? Take care
• 46:22
Speaker 1: of his son. And my buddies are just so, you
• 46:26
Speaker 1: guys are just so. You're going to take L's in life.
• 46:31
Speaker 1: All right? Stop acting like you're not. And you dudes
• 46:34
Speaker 1: are so insecure and so afraid. Oh, my God, I'm
• 46:38
Speaker 1: being taken advantage of. Well, you probably always were. But
• 46:44
  Speaker 1: just because you're taken advantage of doesn't mean you're a
• 46:48
Speaker 1: weak-ass dude, especially when it comes to your kids. So
• 46:53
Speaker 1: everybody needs to relax. It's just so childish. You're just
• 47:00
Speaker 1: such insecure morons. It's unbelievable. I don't know why it is.
• 47:08
Speaker 1: This is what I don't understand about dudes. Dudes always
• 47:13
Speaker 1: feel like somebody's taking... They always feel like their wife
• 47:17
Speaker 1: or their kid is taking food out of their mouth.
• 47:21
Speaker 1: You know, taking food off your plate. Well, just go
• 47:24
Speaker 1: get more food. Let them take the food and go
• 47:27
Speaker 1: get more. Or their ex, I should say. Ex and kid.
• 47:32
Speaker 1: Ex baby mama. You know, I'm not saying be taken
• 47:37
Speaker 1: advantage of to, you know, just blatantly taken advantage of.
• 47:40
Speaker 1: But when there are some situations that, hey, you can't help. Hey,
• 47:46
  Speaker 1: what's up, Ron?
• 47:46
Speaker 3: Hey, Ruben. What up, man?
• 47:48
Speaker 7: Man, a lot of people, like, I see dudes will
• 47:51
Speaker 7: take a loss on other stuff, but when it comes
• 47:53
Speaker 7: to their family, like, they're worried about what people gotta say.
• 47:56
Speaker 3: And I'm like, dude, that's your family.
• 47:58
  Speaker 2: That's your kid.
• 47:59
Speaker 4: You gotta do what you gotta do to make sure
• 48:00
  Speaker 4: your kid's good.
• 48:02
Speaker 1: You would think that that would be the first and foremost,
• 48:05
Speaker 1: but a lot of these, especially these dudes in Bakersfield, man,
• 48:08
Speaker 1: I don't know what... What, you know, who broke their
• 48:11
Speaker 1: heart or hurt their feelings so much or how pathetic
• 48:13
Speaker 1: they are as a man that they afraid to lose
• 48:15
Speaker 1: once in a while. Sometimes you lose, man. It's just
• 48:18
Speaker 1: a part of life.
• 48:19
Speaker 4: It's exactly what I tell people, Roman.
• 48:21
Speaker 1: It's a part of life. You lose some, you win some.
• 48:24
Speaker 4: And you just keep rolling.
• 48:25
Speaker 3: You know what I mean?
• 48:27
Speaker 4: But these fools get so caught up. And you know
• 48:29
  Speaker 4: what's funny?
• 48:29
Speaker 7: The people that get caught up are the ones that
• 48:31
Speaker 7: don't even have nothing to do with it, Roman.
• 48:34
Speaker 3: You know what I mean?
• 48:35
Speaker 4: They're all so stressed out about something.
• 48:37
Speaker 7: And it's like, dude, homeboy might be whipped.
• 48:40
Speaker 2: You know what I mean?
• 48:41
Speaker 4: And he's getting something out of it. And another big
• 48:44
Speaker 4: thing is his kid. Obviously, he moved across the state.
• 48:48
  Speaker 7: For a reason.
• 48:48
  Speaker 1: Yeah, exactly.
• 48:49
Speaker 3: You know what I mean?
• 48:50
Speaker 5: So he's not going to just leave his boys going
• 48:52
Speaker 5: out the house and living in somebody's, sleeping on the
• 48:55
  Speaker 5: couch somewhere.
• 48:56
Speaker 4: Like, come on, dude.
• 48:58
Speaker 1: Well, they probably would stay at a hotel. We're not
• 49:01
Speaker 1: talking about poor people here, but okay.
• 49:04
Speaker 4: Yeah, yeah, but still even having your kids at a
• 49:05
Speaker 4: hotel and you're at your house?
• 49:07
Speaker 1: Come on. You know you're not going to be comfortable.
• 49:09
Speaker 1: I get it. I get it.
• 49:10
Speaker 4: Yeah, so these fools need to quit charity, just drink
• 49:13
Speaker 4: a beer, and just be there and let.
• 49:15
Speaker 6: Homeboy tell his story.
• 49:17
Speaker 4: You know what I mean? That's it. You got to
• 49:19
Speaker 4: listen to the story and just let it be.
• 49:21
Speaker 1: All right, brother. Talk to you later.
• 49:23
  Speaker 3: Later, bro.
• 49:24
Speaker 1: All I'm saying is, you know, sometimes you lose. You
• 49:26
Speaker 1: dudes cannot take a loss. That's the problem with these
• 49:28
Speaker 1: punk-ass dudes in Bakersfield. These cats can't understand that, hey,
• 49:32
Speaker 1: sometimes you're going to lose, man. That doesn't make you pathetic.
• 49:35
Speaker 1: It just makes you a man. Sometimes men lose, right?
• 49:41
Speaker 1: But sometimes you don't lose when you do the right thing,
• 49:44
Speaker 1: especially if it's for your kid, okay? And yes, you
• 49:48
Speaker 1: don't want to blatantly be taken advantage of. I get that.
• 49:51
Speaker 1: And you have to draw a line at some point
• 49:54
Speaker 1: if you are blatantly being taken advantage of. And yes,
• 50:00
Speaker 1: but you're more of a punk for trying to sit
• 50:03
Speaker 1: there and not understand the reality of your relationship or
• 50:07
Speaker 1: your situation, then you are just taking the L and
• 50:12
Speaker 1: moving on. Take the L and go on to what's next.
• 50:14
Speaker 1: All right, 8-4-2-5-4, 7-7. Go to work, Ruben. I keep
• 50:21
Speaker 1: telling you guys, Ruben's probably at work, to be honest
• 50:24
Speaker 1: with you. Yeah, he's probably at work right now. Hey,
• 50:30
Speaker 1: good morning, Romeo. Nah, brah, your boy must have got
• 50:33
Speaker 1: the worst divorce lawyer of all time because when it
• 50:36
Speaker 1: goes to infidelity, it's a big hit on someone's character.
• 50:40
Speaker 1: He should have won majority custody of his child or
• 50:42
Speaker 1: at least 50-50. He probably still likes his baby mama.
• 50:47
Speaker 1: We don't know if he had been in other relationships
• 50:53
Speaker 1: after her. Yeah, he has. But what if the other
• 50:56
Speaker 1: female he was with were even worse? What if she
• 51:00
Speaker 1: was good? What if she was good? Just that one
• 51:05
Speaker 1: detail that his sex drive couldn't match hers. What if
• 51:11
Speaker 1: she wants some on the daily and he's not good
• 51:14
Speaker 1: with once a week? Yeah, you're wrong. I like all
• 51:19
  Speaker 1: the allegations you've just said, but you're 100% wrong. She's
• 51:22
Speaker 1: a whore who's cheated on multiple people, basically.
• 51:26
  Speaker 2: Okay?
• 51:27
Speaker 1: And he was one of them. He married her. He
• 51:29
Speaker 1: probably shouldn't have married her to begin with because she
• 51:31
Speaker 1: was kind of a hoe in college, too. Or a
• 51:37
Speaker 1: whore in college. I shouldn't say hoe because the definition
• 51:40
  Speaker 1: of a hoe. I call her a whore because she's
• 51:42
Speaker 1: a cheater. And she's cheated on multiple guys. So, yeah.
• 51:49
  Speaker 2: So, yeah. Okay.
• 51:51
Speaker 1: I get your point. You're 100% wrong about him, but
• 51:54
Speaker 1: he's just trying to raise his kid now. So, here
• 51:56
Speaker 1: you go. But okay. Let's talk about the internet and
• 51:59
Speaker 1: social media because I heard this crazy story that never
• 52:02
Speaker 1: occurred to me before happening. I was talking to a
• 52:05
Speaker 1: friend of mine and he owns a restaurant, a bar
• 52:08
Speaker 1: and grill. And he was telling me a story about
• 52:12
Speaker 1: how some dude shows up at the restaurant with a
• 52:15
Speaker 1: gun because he was looking for some dude. How did
• 52:21
Speaker 1: he know the dude he was looking for was sitting
• 52:25
Speaker 1: there in this guy's restaurant. Not because the guy posted
• 52:31
Speaker 1: on social media. He was in the background of a
• 52:35
Speaker 1: photo that somebody else who was at the bar or
• 52:39
Speaker 1: restaurant posted on social media. Now, I don't know how
• 52:44
Speaker 1: it happened exactly, but some girl posted a picture on
• 52:50
Speaker 1: her social media with this guy in the background, and
• 52:53
Speaker 1: they weren't together. He was just there. Somehow the dude
• 52:59
Speaker 1: with the gun who was looking for this dude saw
• 53:02
Speaker 1: it in real time. And oh my gosh, he shows up.
• 53:10
Speaker 1: You know, a lot of you guys are over here
• 53:12
Speaker 1: filming and doing things like that. and thinking you're great
• 53:15
Speaker 1: on social media, but man, it gets you caught up, man.
• 53:17
Speaker 1: The internet can get you caught up, man. It's not
• 53:19
Speaker 1: like the old days when you had to actually go
• 53:22
Speaker 1: stalk somebody if you were looking for them, or now
• 53:25
Speaker 1: you just go on social media. Oh, there they are.
• 53:27
Speaker 1: Check out a friend of a friend or whatever, and
• 53:30
Speaker 1: you can find out in real time. You ever get
• 53:33
Speaker 1: caught up? You ever get caught up because of social media,
• 53:35
Speaker 1: or you ever get caught up because of these phones?
• 53:38
  Speaker 6: What happened?
• 53:39
Speaker 1: 8-4-2-5-4, 7-7. So has social media ever got you caught
• 53:43
Speaker 1: up in anything? I mean, it just... You guys all
• 53:47
Speaker 1: want to put your lives out there. You think it's
• 53:49
Speaker 1: so cool about everything you do that everybody cares. Well,
• 53:52
Speaker 1: sometimes people do care. And it's not in a positive way.
• 53:56
Speaker 1: All right, 8-4-2-5-4, 7-7. Hey, Rome, let me tell you
• 54:00
Speaker 1: what happened to me. This is pretty funny.
• 54:02
  Speaker 2: So....
• 54:03
Speaker 1: Me and my boys, we go to the Dodger game, right?
• 54:06
Speaker 1: And just like everybody else, we take that picture with
• 54:09
Speaker 1: the big Dodger, you know, with the Dodger ring that's
• 54:13
Speaker 1: sitting outside. And I post it to social media. A
• 54:18
Speaker 1: few minutes later, I get a call from my wife
• 54:21
Speaker 1: asking me, why in the hell did I switch my
• 54:25
Speaker 1: wedding ring to my right hand? And I asked her,
• 54:28
Speaker 1: what are you talking about? I have my wedding ring
• 54:31
Speaker 1: on right now. And she's like, well, I'm looking at
• 54:34
Speaker 1: your social media post, and my wedding ring, she said
• 54:39
Speaker 1: my wedding ring was on my right hand, not my
• 54:41
Speaker 1: left hand. So she thought I was screwing around in her,
• 54:44
Speaker 1: and she was pissed. Rome, I didn't know what to do.
• 54:47
Speaker 1: We won't go through the game. She's still mad. When
• 54:50
Speaker 1: I get home, I look at the picture, and I
• 54:55
Speaker 1: finally figured it out. Apparently, when they took the picture,
• 55:00
Speaker 1: it flipped. us from side to side. So I was standing, Oh,
• 55:05
Speaker 1: I've seen that happen before, by the way, I wonder
• 55:07
Speaker 1: how that happens. So what happened was when you took
• 55:10
Speaker 1: the picture, I bet you were standing on one side
• 55:13
Speaker 1: of the ring and the, whoever took the picture, it
• 55:17
Speaker 1: flipped to you on the other side of the ring.
• 55:19
Speaker 1: So it looked like it just moves you over. So
• 55:22
Speaker 1: it looked like your ring was on your right hand
• 55:25
Speaker 1: when it really was on your left. Yeah, that is, uh,
• 55:30
Speaker 1: I don't know how the cameras do that. I've seen
• 55:32
Speaker 1: that happen before where it flips you. Not with wedding rings,
• 55:36
Speaker 1: but I've seen it where you'll take a picture with
• 55:38
Speaker 1: somebody and for some reason you're on the opposite side
• 55:40
  Speaker 1: of the photo. But yeah, that's funny. Already 14, 5, 4, 7,
• 55:46
Speaker 1: and 7. Like I said, man, you ever got caught up?
• 55:49
Speaker 1: You know, I remember the old days. I remember the
• 55:52
Speaker 1: old days. You guys, you know, when you'd actually have
• 55:54
Speaker 1: to stop. I used to hang out with a guy
• 55:56
Speaker 1: who we would go drinking, you know, after work. After
• 56:01
Speaker 1: I got off work, he owned a business. And his
• 56:03
Speaker 1: wife would be driving around trying to figure out which
• 56:05
Speaker 1: bar he was at. She actually drove around. Now you
• 56:08
Speaker 1: just look on social media because everybody checks in, right?
• 56:11
Speaker 1: You ever got caught up? Come on, what's going on?
• 56:13
Speaker 4: Yo, yo, happy Friday, sir.
• 56:15
  Speaker 6: What up, brother?
• 56:17
Speaker 4: Oh, man, I was just chiming in. You were talking
• 56:19
Speaker 4: about that photo. I know that that typically happens. It
• 56:23
Speaker 4: flips when you're doing it.
• 56:24
Speaker 1: In, like, selfie mode.
• 56:26
Speaker 4: So when you take a selfie, it'll flip the photo.
• 56:31
Speaker 4: So that's probably what happened.
• 56:33
Speaker 1: Yeah. I've seen that happen before where it flips. And
• 56:35
Speaker 1: for some reason you're everything's opposite.
• 56:37
Speaker 4: It's crazy. You know, when you flip your phone and
• 56:39
Speaker 4: just do selfie mode, that's when it does it.
• 56:42
  Speaker 1: Oh, okay.
• 56:43
  Speaker 2: All right.
• 56:44
Speaker 1: Thanks Scott. I appreciate it. You too, man. You, you,
• 56:48
Speaker 1: you could take a photo and be on one side
• 56:50
Speaker 1: of something and it'll flip it. Maybe that was the
• 56:52
Speaker 1: dude who said that his wife, he posted a photo
• 56:55
Speaker 1: of him at the Dodger game. His wife thought he
• 56:56
Speaker 1: put his ring. I just, uh, His wedding ring on
• 57:00
Speaker 1: the other hand, but the reality was the photo they took,
• 57:02
Speaker 1: however they took the photo, is what flipped it. It
• 57:05
Speaker 1: made it look like that. So that's crazy. Anyway, 842-547-7.
• 57:08
Speaker 1: You ever got caught up because of social media or
• 57:13
Speaker 1: technology or something? Hey, Rome, I never got caught up
• 57:16
Speaker 1: because of social media, but technology got me caught up
• 57:19
Speaker 1: one Friday afternoon. I took off early to go play
• 57:23
Speaker 1: golf with my buddies, and we were out on the
• 57:26
Speaker 1: golf course, and I used the Square to buy some
• 57:31
Speaker 1: drinks for everybody. Well, when they sent the receipt, she
• 57:35
Speaker 1: sent it to the email. Apparently, since my wife is
• 57:40
Speaker 1: on the email for the Square, she got the notification
• 57:44
Speaker 1: that I spent money on drinks there. She called me
• 57:47
Speaker 1: immediately and said, what am I doing? I had to
• 57:50
Speaker 1: tell her I was out playing golf. I took off
• 57:52
Speaker 1: work early. So, yeah, it's not just that social media
• 57:57
Speaker 1: or own technology be getting you sometimes. Well, maybe you
• 58:01
Speaker 1: should pay attention. That thing is funny because sometimes I
• 58:04
Speaker 1: know that square, like I don't have a square thing.
• 58:08
Speaker 1: So I do get it. You know, already for two, five, four, seven, seven.
• 58:13
Speaker 1: It goes to whoever has the square, right? Is that
• 58:15
Speaker 1: how that works? All right, 842-547-7. Yo, Rome, let me
• 58:21
Speaker 1: tell you what happened to me. My husband and I,
• 58:25
Speaker 1: we bought a Tesla, and I didn't know nothing about it,
• 58:29
Speaker 1: but my husband had the app. I didn't know that
• 58:33
Speaker 1: you can look on the app and see where the
• 58:35
Speaker 1: car's at at any given moment. So I was at
• 58:39
Speaker 1: work one day. My girlfriends called me to go out
• 58:41
Speaker 1: to lunch. My husband was on the app. and saw
• 58:46
Speaker 1: me leaving work, called me to see what I was doing.
• 58:49
Speaker 1: I wasn't doing nothing wrong, but still you're right. Uh,
• 58:53
Speaker 1: that technology will get you. Um, okay. Like I said, man,
• 58:58
Speaker 1: technology's crazy. It's just wild. Uh, the things you get
• 59:03
Speaker 1: caught up, man, even when you're not doing anything wrong, man,
• 59:06
Speaker 1: it just looks like you're doing something wrong. Right? I mean,
• 59:08
Speaker 1: my God, how, many of you are on that 360 whatever?
• 59:12
Speaker 1: That'll tell somebody exactly where you're at. We got to
• 59:16
Speaker 1: go back to the good old days, man. When you
• 59:18
Speaker 1: were looking for somebody, you actually had to get out
• 59:20
Speaker 1: the house and go look for them.
• 59:23
Speaker 3: Hi, I was calling about the– how you got– Couldn't
• 59:27
Speaker 3: get caught up on the technology thing?
• 59:29
  Speaker 1: Yeah, what happened?
• 59:30
Speaker 3: Okay, so this number kept calling my husband's phone, and
• 59:36
Speaker 3: it didn't say have a contact name or anything. It
• 59:39
Speaker 3: was just a phone number. And I was like, hmm,
• 59:44
Speaker 3: let me see. And one of my friends had told
• 59:48
Speaker 3: me that if you go to Cash App and you
• 59:52
Speaker 3: put in the phone number, that person's name and picture
• 59:56
  Speaker 3: will show up.
• 1:00:00
  Speaker 1: Damn!
• 1:00:04
Speaker 3: Yeah, so if any girls find the phone number, they
• 1:00:09
  Speaker 3: don't know.
• 1:00:10
  Speaker 1: What happened?
• 1:00:12
Speaker 3: Oh, it was one of his coworkers. And that she
• 1:00:17
Speaker 3: was paying him back for the lunch that he had
• 1:00:20
Speaker 3: went to go pick up for everybody.
• 1:00:21
Speaker 1: Oh, that's the story he told you, huh?
• 1:00:24
Speaker 3: Yeah, that's the story he told me. She was ugly, though,
• 1:00:29
Speaker 3: so I believed him.
• 1:00:32
  Speaker 1: That's awesome.
• 1:00:34
  Speaker 6: All right.
• 1:00:35
Speaker 1: Well, who knew? Who knew? All right. Thanks for calling. Bye.
• 1:00:39
Speaker 1: Have a good day.
• 1:00:40
  Speaker 5: Bye, you too.
• 1:00:43
Speaker 1: Damn, you know that I don't have a cash app,
• 1:00:45
Speaker 1: so I don't even know how you get caught up
• 1:00:46
Speaker 1: like that. It's hilarious. There you go. So you ever
• 1:00:49
Speaker 1: get caught up because of technology, man? It's way easy
• 1:00:53
Speaker 1: to keep tabs on people. And as stupid as you
• 1:00:55
Speaker 1: people are, just putting your business out for everybody to see, man,
• 1:00:58
Speaker 1: it's even easier. It's not even hard.
• 1:01:00
  Speaker 3: R-A-4-2-5-4-7-7-yo-roam.
• 1:01:01
Speaker 1: One time I was drinking with the house guy. We
• 1:01:08
Speaker 1: was downtown in my car. I had my son's Firefly.
• 1:01:14
Speaker 1: It's a kid's watch to track him. And my old
• 1:01:18
Speaker 1: lady showed up pregnant holding my daughter in one arm
• 1:01:21
Speaker 1: and the other by the hand. Good times. Raider Rob 2015. Yeah, dude. Man,
• 1:01:31
Speaker 1: y'all being tracked without even knowing you're being tracked, right? Oh,
• 1:01:38
Speaker 1: I bet you miss the good old days. The good
• 1:01:41
Speaker 1: old days when you had to stop. You know how
• 1:01:44
Speaker 1: you stalk somebody in the good old days, right? You
• 1:01:45
Speaker 1: found somebody in the good old days, you made phone calls.
• 1:01:48
Speaker 1: You started calling friends, and then you started calling other people.
• 1:01:51
Speaker 1: Then you started calling their friends, and their friends would
• 1:01:53
Speaker 1: lie to you. But by the end, then you had
• 1:01:54
Speaker 1: to go get in your car and drive around and
• 1:02:00
Speaker 1: go look for some fool. Yeah, it's different, man. Today's different.
• 1:02:04
Speaker 1: You need You guys don't even realize how stupid you
• 1:02:07
Speaker 1: are when you put all your information online and where
• 1:02:10
Speaker 1: you're at and where you're going to be. And then
• 1:02:13
Speaker 1: you go ahead and your videos and pictures and all
• 1:02:17
Speaker 1: the stupid things that you get caught up doing because
• 1:02:22
Speaker 1: of you. Then you blame somebody else for it. And
• 1:02:26
Speaker 1: your dumb ass should have just, yeah, not had it.
• 1:02:31
Speaker 1: All right, 8-4-2-5-4-7-7. But technology, man, it's crazy. Pretty soon,
• 1:02:39
Speaker 1: I'm pretty sure that all of us right now, even
• 1:02:42
Speaker 1: if we don't, because I don't have tracking apps on
• 1:02:43
Speaker 1: my phone, I'm pretty sure that somebody else could find me.
• 1:02:46
Speaker 1: But I'm pretty sure that we're all being tracked. And
• 1:02:52
Speaker 1: if somebody was really trying, they could find you. They
• 1:02:55
Speaker 1: really knew how to do it. I mean, look at
• 1:02:56
Speaker 1: that last girl. They're called a cash app. You can...
• 1:03:00
Speaker 1: Put someone's phone number in a cash app and see
• 1:03:03
Speaker 1: who they are? Who would have thought of that? Here
• 1:03:05
Speaker 1: comes the technology, man. Technology will catch you up, man,
• 1:03:08
Speaker 1: whether it's social media, the internet, I don't know, maybe
• 1:03:11
Speaker 1: these tracking devices that you have on your cars or
• 1:03:14
Speaker 1: your phones or your iPads or watches, whatever they are, right?
• 1:03:18
Speaker 1: They'll get you. R-A-4-2-5-4-7-7. Let me tell you how stupid
• 1:03:23
Speaker 1: we are. Now, there's about five couples. We all grew
• 1:03:27
Speaker 1: up together. We were a close-knit group of friends. And
• 1:03:31
Speaker 1: one night, one of the couples didn't want to go
• 1:03:34
Speaker 1: out with us. They said they just wanted to stay
• 1:03:36
Speaker 1: home and chill. So we were out drinking, partying, having
• 1:03:39
Speaker 1: a good time, eating and hanging out. We took an
• 1:03:42
Speaker 1: Uber to their house so that they didn't know it
• 1:03:45
Speaker 1: was us. And we teepeed their front yard. We thought
• 1:03:51
Speaker 1: it was going to be hilarious. And just because they
• 1:03:54
Speaker 1: didn't want to go out with us, Well, I get
• 1:03:56
Speaker 1: a phone call from the dude talking about why you
• 1:03:59
Speaker 1: in my front yard throwing toilet paper everywhere. They saw
• 1:04:04
Speaker 1: us on their ring camera and called us and then
• 1:04:08
Speaker 1: came out. We got busted, Rome. We thought we were
• 1:04:10
Speaker 1: doing something and being funny, but yeah, we got caught.
• 1:04:14
Speaker 1: You're right, Rome. Technology will get you. Technology will get you.
• 1:04:19
Speaker 1: That is kind of funny, though.
• 1:04:21
Speaker 2: Romeo in the morning.
• 1:04:23
  Speaker 1: Every morning.
• 1:04:24
  Speaker 2: On 94.1.
