- Prashanthi Nuthi: Hello friends. Today I'm recording the podcast from a very special place. I'm sitting next to my Dexter's final resting place. On September 22nd last year he passed away. As we were approaching the anniversary, Facebook started throwing all these memories. Him as a baby, chasing the tennis ball, fetching the Frisbee, playing in the park. So many memories. What a wonderful life he lived. he lived like a king. He was called as King Dexter. Then it reminded me of his struggle with Addison's disease, steroids, repeated surgeries one year with the cone, with wounds, with dressing changes, almost two months in the hospital. the doctor tried everything possible and finally came down to amputing his leg and that's when we decided to let him go peacefully. As I was going down the memory lane, it made me think how we lived those final hours. We knew that the next day he'll be leaving us. We removed the cone that last night and made him sleep next to us on the bed. I was awake the entire night to watch him so that he could rest peacefully. The next day we broke all the rules. He got his favorite sweets, ice cream, everything. We took him to the park. His eyes suddenly lit up and he wanted to run. he was looking for us to throw. the Frisbee one more time. he remembered the park, he remembered the river. He was pulling the leash so that he could go towards the river where he used to love swimming. Then finally we took him in the car to the hospital with all the windows down. He loved the air rushing through the windows through his hair. that would be his final ride. He enjoyed it We assume there will be another walk. We assume there will be another ride, another conversation, another dinner. But most days don't give us that information. I am not saying I want to live every day thinking that it's my last day. But certainly I want to notice when I am rushing on the moments that matter because I am thinking there will be another chance. So here's the MicroBoost for you today. Think about something that you have been saving for next time. Stay a bit longer Take a longer walk. Open the windows. Remember, small actions, big impact. Until we meet again next time, let's keep making impact together. Thank you.
