- 0:09Speaker 1: Welcome to the Favorites, the podcast from the Action Network.
- 0:13Speaker 1: I am Chad Millman, and today we have Colin Wilson
- 0:17Speaker 1: and Stucky our colleague football experts host on the Action
- 0:22Speaker 1: Network podcast. They are quickly becoming baseball and golf experts,
- 0:28Speaker 1: and we're going to talk about what life is starting
- 0:30Speaker 1: to look like for the fall. Plus in a few minutes,
- 0:33Speaker 1: back by popular demand, NBA experts from the Action Network,
- 0:37Speaker 1: Justin Fan and Matt More are going to join the show.
- 0:40Speaker 1: They have been part of the Action crew doing NBA
- 0:42Speaker 1: betch streams on league past during the restart and look,
- 0:45Speaker 1: they've been insightful, they've been fun, they've been great for betters.
- 0:48Speaker 1: Chemistry between the two of them is fantastic. We're gonna
- 0:51Speaker 1: bring him back because pretty soon the bubble is going
- 0:54Speaker 1: to head into the playoff portion of the restart and
- 0:58Speaker 1: we want to get their sense on what you should
- 1:00Speaker 1: be looking at. Also, it's a reminder that two weeks ago,
- 1:04Speaker 1: when they were on We as Fans to rate and
- 1:06Speaker 1: review the podcast, those who did and use the winning
- 1:10Speaker 1: phrase jump on the fan Wagon in their review were
- 1:13Speaker 1: eligible to win a free Action Network subscription. We have
- 1:18Speaker 1: loads and loads of reviews. Thank you for that. Later
- 1:20Speaker 1: in the show we will reveal our winner. Also, we
- 1:23Speaker 1: are doing another phrase that pays contest the same practice,
- 1:27Speaker 1: go grate and review the podcast using the phrase. This
- 1:30Speaker 1: is appropriate. I feel for Colin and Stucky. That's because
- 1:34Speaker 1: in our action world, our greatest joy is here in
- 1:38Speaker 1: Colin and Stuck, you talk about college football. If we
- 1:41Speaker 1: choose your review on the next podcast, you will win
- 1:44Speaker 1: a free action network hoodie. We will all need something
- 1:48Speaker 1: to keep us warm on the cold and lonely saturdays
- 1:52Speaker 1: that we have to spend pumpkin picking or looking at
- 1:55Speaker 1: foliage in the fall. And by the way, I mentioned
- 1:59Speaker 1: the action that we're podcast, do not forget to go
- 2:02Speaker 1: listen to that. We've got new episodes nearly every day
- 2:05Speaker 1: covering NFL Fantasy with Chris Raybon, Shawn Corner, Matthew Freedman.
- 2:08Speaker 1: We've got NFL betting with Stucky and Raybon. We've got
- 2:13Speaker 1: golf every Tuesday with Jason Sobell and Peter Jennings. And
- 2:17Speaker 1: now joining me in sadness and despair, Colin Wilson and Stucky. Boys,
- 2:23Speaker 1: What the freak are we gonna do? Mountain West done?
- 2:28Speaker 1: Mac done? Colin. I want to start with you Mac.
- 2:33Speaker 1: That's like for a better is as crushing as the
- 2:36Speaker 1: Big ten or Big twelve or anyone else decided to cancel.
- 2:40Speaker 1: It came at me fast, like the Mountain West is
- 2:42Speaker 1: one thing with Hawaii, the late night Hawaii sweats, you know.
- 2:45Speaker 1: I mean, I'm really kind of saving myself money with
- 2:47Speaker 1: no Hawaii football games. That doesn't hurt as bad as
- 2:50Speaker 1: the MAC because the MAC is just pure utter chaos.
- 2:54Speaker 1: Tuesday's Wednesdays. And you think about all the election years,
- 2:57Speaker 1: how many times did I carl Obie Mama with Toledo
- 3:01Speaker 1: or the state of Minnesota with Bush And like that
- 3:04Speaker 1: election day Parlay is just gone. Now that Action is gone,
- 3:09Speaker 1: I'm not learning how to golf. Bet I am deep
- 3:11Speaker 1: into baseball. I just followed Josh Perry and who is
- 3:15Speaker 1: an Action Network contributor, And the first like three weeks,
- 3:19Speaker 1: I bet he I tailed add one shot. So like
- 3:23Speaker 1: I am free rolling golf right now. So shout to
- 3:26Speaker 1: Mr Parry and if you have to check out as
- 3:27Speaker 1: content too. So also a plug for another podcast. We're
- 3:30Speaker 1: recording a baseball one today, talk about the you know,
- 3:32Speaker 1: the new hitting environment to do betting rules all the
- 3:34Speaker 1: craziness that'll be out by the time this is out,
- 3:37Speaker 1: so make sure you check that out as well. With
- 3:39Speaker 1: myself comins aillo. Um, yeah, I'm depressed. I mean I
- 3:44Speaker 1: mentioned this on Twitter the other day. Sometimes in life
- 3:47Speaker 1: you make some decisions without properly waying the opportunity costs,
- 3:50Speaker 1: and I probably did that this summer. I mean it
- 3:52Speaker 1: was I was heartbroken after March Madness was having a
- 3:55Speaker 1: great college basketball year. I had so much prepared for
- 3:57Speaker 1: March Madness that gets canceled old. I kind of went
- 4:00Speaker 1: into a hermit state and was just reading. I did nothing.
- 4:03Speaker 1: I didn't wasn't leave my mouse, just reading books, taking
- 4:06Speaker 1: my break. And then I got the itch again and
- 4:09Speaker 1: I said, you know what, I'm going to become the
- 4:10Speaker 1: most prepared I've ever been. There's no tennis going on,
- 4:13Speaker 1: there's no baseball, you know, capping and sweating all that,
- 4:16Speaker 1: watching the market. I'm gonna become the most prepared I've
- 4:18Speaker 1: ever been for college football in my life. So, I
- 4:21Speaker 1: mean I went, I've showed Collins some of my notes.
- 4:24Speaker 1: I have just notebooks full of notes that I was
- 4:27Speaker 1: gonna then translate into uh did two onto my computer
- 4:31Speaker 1: and I should have not done that and waited. Um,
- 4:35Speaker 1: so I'm hoping at this point we get anything. The
- 4:38Speaker 1: good thing about no MAC. It's kind of like with
- 4:40Speaker 1: the Pirates Cardinals series being the postponed right now when
- 4:44Speaker 1: the I love baseball and I wanted to keep happening,
- 4:46Speaker 1: But when the Pirates aren't playing, I'm saving money by
- 4:49Speaker 1: not betting them. When the MAC isn't happening, I'm saving
- 4:52Speaker 1: money by not betting on Acorn games. So I'm trying
- 4:55Speaker 1: to take the optimistic view, but at this point, I'm
- 4:57Speaker 1: just hoping for anything. Well, I think you guys are
- 5:02Speaker 1: all sort of preaching in the same in the same
- 5:05Speaker 1: choir for all the college football fans. It's remarkable to
- 5:08Speaker 1: me how sort of it's become one of these things
- 5:11Speaker 1: where if you report bad news that might be coming,
- 5:15Speaker 1: you are also against college football wanting to restart and
- 5:21Speaker 1: actually have some kind of influence on the outcome. And
- 5:24Speaker 1: the other day, Stucky, someone on Twitter came after you
- 5:27Speaker 1: because you are not using your influence to make sure
- 5:30Speaker 1: college football happens. Yeah, there's been like ten or fifteen people.
- 5:34Speaker 1: I just called out one in particular that they're saying
- 5:37Speaker 1: I'm not using my voice I'm a puppet of Peter
- 5:39Speaker 1: Chernon and they included me in the same tweet as
- 5:42Speaker 1: Big Cat. I mean, I have like thirty five thousand followers,
- 5:46Speaker 1: and I hate to break it to somebody, but I
- 5:48Speaker 1: have zero influence on whether any conference or college football happens.
- 5:53Speaker 1: Because I can tell you that my company, my job,
- 5:56Speaker 1: my college football podcast, we'll all do a lot better
- 5:58Speaker 1: if college football happens. So yeah, people are are crazy
- 6:01Speaker 1: right now. The country's obviously polarized as ever in every
- 6:04Speaker 1: possible topic. It's even reached here. But unless I'm gonna
- 6:08Speaker 1: go out and raise, you know, millions and millions of
- 6:12Speaker 1: dollars and give them to these conferences, because I think
- 6:14Speaker 1: ultimately money still makes the decision, whether it's liability or
- 6:17Speaker 1: lost revenue, I have no say. I tried to call
- 6:20Speaker 1: to get in on the MAC vote. They didn't. They
- 6:22Speaker 1: wouldn't let me throw Colin. You keep shaking your head
- 6:25Speaker 1: and rubbing your hands. I can see you doing it
- 6:27Speaker 1: on zoom. I'm going crazy here, like I have so
- 6:29Speaker 1: many I don't want to get into the whole should there,
- 6:32Speaker 1: should they not? And And really personally I want to
- 6:35Speaker 1: see football being played because I don't know what to
- 6:37Speaker 1: do with my life. I once convinced my five year
- 6:39Speaker 1: old this birthday was actually on a Sunday instead of Saturday,
- 6:42Speaker 1: just so I can watch football. So I don't know
- 6:43Speaker 1: what to do if there's no football. But at the
- 6:46Speaker 1: same time, with the FCS and FBS canceling, not only
- 6:49Speaker 1: do all the players not play, but we have twenty
- 6:52Speaker 1: hundred plus coaches that won't be that possibly won't be exposed,
- 6:55Speaker 1: and possibly, you know, nothing catastrophic happens. So personally, do
- 6:59Speaker 1: I on it. I would love to have it. I
- 7:01Speaker 1: need it. I think the SEC is gonna play. I
- 7:03Speaker 1: made up my mind last night when Mark Emmert came
- 7:05Speaker 1: out and said it is up to each individual institution
- 7:09Speaker 1: to make their decision. The SEC is going to find
- 7:12Speaker 1: a way to play. And Nebraska, who has had problems
- 7:15Speaker 1: with the Big tents since they left, I mean they
- 7:17Speaker 1: left the Big twelve because Texas was taken all the
- 7:19Speaker 1: damn TV revenue and they were tired of it. And
- 7:22Speaker 1: now you see Scott Frost come out there. He's just
- 7:24Speaker 1: not saying that because he's raw raw. He's saying that
- 7:26Speaker 1: because I think Nebraska is wanted to break away from
- 7:28Speaker 1: the Big ten. Period and go back to their roots
- 7:31Speaker 1: and their fan base and be the old Big eight days.
- 7:33Speaker 1: It's much more deep seated than I just want my
- 7:35Speaker 1: players to play in. Nebraska literally wants an all star cast,
- 7:38Speaker 1: for a schedule and to break away from the big tents.
- 7:40Speaker 1: So there's a lot going on right now, all right,
- 7:42Speaker 1: So they have two questions. Number one, do we see
- 7:45Speaker 1: a scenario where Ohio State goes to play in the
- 7:49Speaker 1: SEC this year? Do we see a scenario where Nebraska
- 7:53Speaker 1: goes to play in the Big twelve this year? In
- 7:55Speaker 1: my opinion, if you have the money the donors to
- 7:59Speaker 1: support sting and the and the revenue is there and
- 8:02Speaker 1: the boosters are there, you're going to be able to play.
- 8:05Speaker 1: And the teams that can play will play because that
- 8:07Speaker 1: that you know, players and coaches are spokes on the
- 8:09Speaker 1: wheel and college football is a huge money generator. And
- 8:12Speaker 1: I know this. We want to you know, we want
- 8:14Speaker 1: to play. I know it's now become politicized, uh you know.
- 8:18Speaker 1: I hope the players get what they're asking for. They
- 8:20Speaker 1: definitely need some sort of protection or a union, or
- 8:23Speaker 1: they need to have some sort of extra compensation. But
- 8:25Speaker 1: at the same time, college football is going to happen.
- 8:28Speaker 1: If it's left up to the presidents someone, we're gonna
- 8:30Speaker 1: say yes, so we're gonna say no, and then we're
- 8:32Speaker 1: gonna see some really interesting pods. Pods is a big
- 8:36Speaker 1: word around college football about, uh, you know, forming your
- 8:39Speaker 1: own on the fly conference stuck. Where do you think?
- 8:42Speaker 1: What does the world look like? If Ohio State is
- 8:44Speaker 1: in the SEC? I don't think they would go to
- 8:46Speaker 1: the SEC. They probably go to maybe like the Big
- 8:48Speaker 1: twelve or something, or another conference that's playing UM or
- 8:51Speaker 1: like you know, like Collins had formed this pot of
- 8:53Speaker 1: other teams that want to play at all. I mean,
- 8:56Speaker 1: like the the well we have like conference. You say,
- 8:58Speaker 1: so they're gonna play, but Old Dominion is and so
- 9:00Speaker 1: I mean, there's there's so much still to be determined.
- 9:03Speaker 1: I'm just shocked at column. If you're gonna move the
- 9:05Speaker 1: kid's birthday from Saturday, why not move it to Tuesday.
- 9:08Speaker 1: I mean, it's Sunday in the fall. You might as
- 9:10Speaker 1: well just move it another couple of days to the
- 9:12Speaker 1: dead day of the week. Let me there was a
- 9:15Speaker 1: game on that Tuesday. Let let me tell everybody, because
- 9:18Speaker 1: my sons were born in October five and eight. If
- 9:19Speaker 1: you're in your twenties or thirties and you're starting a family,
- 9:22Speaker 1: avoid the last week of January, stay away from your
- 9:24Speaker 1: wife or anything, right, Just wait until April or May
- 9:27Speaker 1: to get that stuff going. Uh yeah, But my thoughts
- 9:31Speaker 1: it just it's like most things and where there's money about,
- 9:34Speaker 1: you just it's all gonna come down to the money.
- 9:36Speaker 1: At first, it was college was going to find a
- 9:39Speaker 1: way because of the financial implications not only of the
- 9:43Speaker 1: of you know, for these institutions, but for the other
- 9:45Speaker 1: programs within those institutions. But also like there's a lot
- 9:49Speaker 1: of towns that rely on college football a lot you know, bars, restaurants,
- 9:54Speaker 1: all that. But now the conversation has shifted to long
- 9:57Speaker 1: term health liability. There's no collective bargaining with these aren'
- 10:00Speaker 1: paid athletes, you know, the you know players unionizing. So
- 10:03Speaker 1: now like money on the other side for the know
- 10:07Speaker 1: is coming into play here. And that's kind of the
- 10:09Speaker 1: struggle right now. And who can figure it out? Um
- 10:13Speaker 1: and how? I don't know. My question to everything college
- 10:16Speaker 1: football right now is I don't know until there's an
- 10:18Speaker 1: announcement on certain things. And but and if college what
- 10:21Speaker 1: has happened as college basketball and that depresses me. Two
- 10:23Speaker 1: marches without march mannas is. I don't want to live
- 10:26Speaker 1: in that world. But I would love college football to
- 10:28Speaker 1: start as early as possible. But I think it's also
- 10:30Speaker 1: you know, and you're still you have these things that
- 10:32Speaker 1: come out and say we're still gonna play the first
- 10:33Speaker 1: week September, while the SEC actually said we're gonna start,
- 10:35Speaker 1: you know, late September. I think pushing everything back until
- 10:39Speaker 1: like mid September and then you build it maybe a
- 10:41Speaker 1: couple of extra bye weeks for a shorter schedule is
- 10:43Speaker 1: smart because we've had shortened preparation. But also let's get
- 10:47Speaker 1: everyone back on campus and see how it goes. And
- 10:50Speaker 1: because the last thing you want to do is you
- 10:51Speaker 1: start it too early and something goes wrong and then
- 10:54Speaker 1: you cancel everything. You you also want to keep mind,
- 10:57Speaker 1: you want to build in some buffers and some flexibility
- 10:59Speaker 1: and the schedule, but you're you're missing to the three
- 11:02Speaker 1: possible games for everyone this year. From a gambling standpoint,
- 11:05Speaker 1: I hope it does come back. I mean week one.
- 11:08Speaker 1: Considering the amount of hours, I mean, they are really
- 11:10Speaker 1: shrinking the amount of hours these college teams are gonna
- 11:12Speaker 1: have to prep The miss tackles are just gonna be
- 11:15Speaker 1: at an all time high. The defenses are not gonna
- 11:17Speaker 1: have enough reps, They're not gonna have enough time with
- 11:20Speaker 1: their coordinators, but their form is going to be so
- 11:23Speaker 1: terrible because of their limited amount of practice time. Like
- 11:26Speaker 1: you can't simulate real time speed when Alabama's receivers hit
- 11:30Speaker 1: the field. I don't know who they're playing week one,
- 11:32Speaker 1: but you can't simulate that in your practice, and you've
- 11:34Speaker 1: had limited practices. There will be more busted plays in
- 11:37Speaker 1: college football in week one than any other year, any
- 11:40Speaker 1: other week. I would love for that that but I made.
- 11:42Speaker 1: One of the things I did over that month is
- 11:44Speaker 1: I I built my own personal ranking like COVID rankings
- 11:48Speaker 1: based on coaching turnover, who's coming back, returning production, who
- 11:53Speaker 1: miss spring, who didn't get spring, and basically said, a, right,
- 11:56Speaker 1: here's the teams that are gonna be hurt the most
- 11:59Speaker 1: scheme changes, all the way down to the teams that
- 12:01Speaker 1: aren't going to feel the effect as much. And so yeah,
- 12:05Speaker 1: having that edge, I think and that information would would
- 12:08Speaker 1: be a tieing could be more critical if they do
- 12:10Speaker 1: start in early September. All right, quick reminders, we are
- 12:13Speaker 1: doing another phrase that pays contest, Go rate and review
- 12:17Speaker 1: the podcast using the phrase I feel for Colin and Stucky. Uh.
- 12:22Speaker 1: If we choose your review, you will win a free
- 12:25Speaker 1: action network hoodie. We're all gonna need something to keep
- 12:28Speaker 1: us warm this fall if we don't get college football.
- 12:30Speaker 1: But I will say, you guys are actually giving me
- 12:33Speaker 1: more optimism that I might see some kind of college football.
- 12:36Speaker 1: Not because I think you guys potentially no more than
- 12:38Speaker 1: anybody else who's reporting anything, but the idea that there
- 12:42Speaker 1: are outliers. There are the Nebraska's, there are the Iowas
- 12:45Speaker 1: who allegedly voted to play. There are schools like Ohio
- 12:49Speaker 1: State that are like the fandom and the coaches are
- 12:53Speaker 1: pushing one way makes me feel like, all right, if
- 12:56Speaker 1: we can get a collection of ten to twenty teams
- 12:59Speaker 1: that are interested in getting together and playing, then maybe
- 13:03Speaker 1: we do get some kind of games. It's gonna happen.
- 13:06Speaker 1: I mean, I can't imagine the SEC no matter if
- 13:08Speaker 1: it's a coach or it's a group of players. The
- 13:10Speaker 1: only way they're not gonna play is if we actually
- 13:13Speaker 1: get up to game day and half the team is sequester.
- 13:15Speaker 1: And even then I think they'd still play. If they
- 13:17Speaker 1: could field eleven guys for offense, defense and special teams.
- 13:21Speaker 1: I think SEC is gonna make it happen, and that
- 13:24Speaker 1: means the a SEC is going to join them, and
- 13:25Speaker 1: I think the Big twelve can be swayed in and
- 13:28Speaker 1: that leaves Nebraska Ohio State to go make their own path. Yeah,
- 13:31Speaker 1: I mean just those If you have SEC, Big twelve
- 13:34Speaker 1: and A C C at the minimum, and then you
- 13:36Speaker 1: have this fourth conference of like the you know, a
- 13:40Speaker 1: hodgepodge of all the other teams from other conferences, and
- 13:45Speaker 1: we get that every Saturday, um spread it out. I
- 13:49Speaker 1: will be ecstatic and I still think there's a possibility
- 13:52Speaker 1: of it. What a long way to go? What does
- 13:54Speaker 1: the world look like? Last question for you guys, what
- 13:56Speaker 1: does the world look like if you've got sort of
- 14:01Speaker 1: the SEC playing and the A C C playing, but
- 14:06Speaker 1: there's really there really are only say twenty or thirty
- 14:10Speaker 1: teams to handicap going into a Saturday colin, Like, I
- 14:14Speaker 1: know what your schedule is, Like, I know the dedication
- 14:17Speaker 1: you put into two sort of building models and looking
- 14:22Speaker 1: at every number. What does that do to your life?
- 14:24Speaker 1: What do you think that does that make it easier?
- 14:27Speaker 1: I think it makes it tougher because the Vegas bookmakers
- 14:30Speaker 1: are excellent on Power five teams and power rating them
- 14:33Speaker 1: because they have eyeballs on those teams. Where Stucky and
- 14:36Speaker 1: I make our bread and butter is in the mac
- 14:37Speaker 1: is in the Mountain West is with totals, with Army
- 14:40Speaker 1: Army totals, Navy totals come out too high, too low. Uh,
- 14:43Speaker 1: you know, there's a hundred and thirty teams, and that's
- 14:45Speaker 1: impossible to keep track of for and I know the
- 14:48Speaker 1: process of what the Vegas bookmakers are going through by
- 14:50Speaker 1: the time Hawaii gets done at one o'clock in the
- 14:52Speaker 1: morning to the time they post numbers at noon the
- 14:55Speaker 1: next day. In Vegas, they're scrambling and they're browsing box
- 14:58Speaker 1: scores as where I'm deep diving box scores, and they
- 15:00Speaker 1: make mistakes. And now there's not that many games, they're
- 15:03Speaker 1: not gonna make as many mistakes. It's gonna be a
- 15:05Speaker 1: little bit tougher, Stuck. Yeah, I mean, if there is
- 15:09Speaker 1: no college football or if it's you know, a limited schedule.
- 15:13Speaker 1: I mean, the one good thing with our our college
- 15:15Speaker 1: football podcast, we don't have to worry about going over
- 15:17Speaker 1: as we do every week, way less things that's away,
- 15:19Speaker 1: less things to talk about. UM, you know, it'll obviously
- 15:23Speaker 1: from a work perspective, it'll it would be a break,
- 15:26Speaker 1: but one that I wouldn't enjoy. I mean, I'm I'm
- 15:28Speaker 1: doing NFL and college football, UM and baseball playoffs in
- 15:32Speaker 1: the fall, So obviously I'll still I would be able
- 15:34Speaker 1: to dedicate more time to baseball, more time to tennis.
- 15:38Speaker 1: The one thing I fear a little bit is if
- 15:40Speaker 1: there's no college football. NFL is one of my strongest sports,
- 15:43Speaker 1: but I don't I take a you know, there's only
- 15:47Speaker 1: a certain amount of games each week. You can go
- 15:50Speaker 1: down so many. There's so much information on the NFL
- 15:52Speaker 1: out there that I have a good approach where I
- 15:54Speaker 1: I stay to myself and I kind of have my
- 15:57Speaker 1: own approach, and and uh, I fear that if there
- 16:01Speaker 1: is no college football, would I start overtaking and go
- 16:04Speaker 1: way to down rabbit holes for NFL and uh, you know,
- 16:08Speaker 1: just trying to occupy my mind. The good thing is
- 16:11Speaker 1: the one thing that I'm most worried about it there's
- 16:13Speaker 1: no culturable baseball needs to just I don't know what's
- 16:16Speaker 1: gonnap with the Cardinals and these outbreaks, but needs to
- 16:20Speaker 1: find a way to just complete this season through October,
- 16:23Speaker 1: and then I got to make a decision on what
- 16:25Speaker 1: I where college basketball is. I can start doing those
- 16:28Speaker 1: numbers a lot early, which is something I had to
- 16:29Speaker 1: do in the fall so to open up more time
- 16:31Speaker 1: for me. But I love college football. I hope we
- 16:33Speaker 1: get as many games as possible, but there will always
- 16:36Speaker 1: be things to bet and always be ways to fill
- 16:40Speaker 1: time with betting content. You know what, I'm coming out
- 16:44Speaker 1: of this feeling more optimistic than I did going in.
- 16:47Speaker 1: That's what I'm gonna That's how I'm feeling. I appreciate
- 16:50Speaker 1: if you if you chat, if you're gonna leave your
- 16:52Speaker 1: decision making in life up to SEC presidents, you're always
- 16:55Speaker 1: gonna get a yes. So that's that's. Uh. Yeah, that's
- 17:00Speaker 1: one of the things that I keep talking about as well.
- 17:02Speaker 1: And but yeah, I think that there's you might as
- 17:05Speaker 1: well be optimistic about. All of this is out of
- 17:07Speaker 1: our control. Nobody knows if I got through March after
- 17:11Speaker 1: that getting canceled. I still have the last game of
- 17:13Speaker 1: March that got canceled midway through the first set to St.
- 17:16Speaker 1: John's Creighton. I still that on my DVR. I went
- 17:19Speaker 1: back and watched it the other day just to see
- 17:21Speaker 1: how crazy everything was. If I can get through that,
- 17:24Speaker 1: we'll find a way to get through this, and uh,
- 17:27Speaker 1: college football will be back eventually. Hopefully we get just
- 17:30Speaker 1: some version of it this year. I can't wait to
- 17:32Speaker 1: see the MAX ratings in the spring blow XFL out
- 17:35Speaker 1: of the water. Like I really think that that's a
- 17:37Speaker 1: strong possibility that the MAC is going to be the
- 17:39Speaker 1: king of all spring football. So I can't wait to
- 17:42Speaker 1: see it. Yeah, you could also we could also spring
- 17:44Speaker 1: college football where we get NFL Saturdays and Sundays. You know,
- 17:47Speaker 1: if there's no college football, NFL scooping up those Pride
- 17:50Speaker 1: those cable spots. Um, we'll have football on Saturdays. I'm
- 17:54Speaker 1: so confident in the NFL. And then we could have
- 17:56Speaker 1: spring college fooball. I don't know what that looks like
- 17:58Speaker 1: with all the stars going the draft, but that's a
- 18:01Speaker 1: conversation for another day. I'm still I'm still hoping for
- 18:03Speaker 1: something in the ball action for everybody. Colin Wilson Stuckey,
- 18:07Speaker 1: thanks for coming on the podcast. Reminder to everybody go
- 18:11Speaker 1: leave a five star review for the favorites, includes the
- 18:14Speaker 1: phrase include the phrase I feel for stucky and Colin Uh.
- 18:18Speaker 1: We love listening to them on the College Football podcast
- 18:21Speaker 1: on the Action Network. Use the phrase, will randomly choose
- 18:24Speaker 1: the winner and they get a free Action Network hoodie.
- 18:27Speaker 1: Coming up next on the podcast, NBA Experts, Matt Moore
- 18:31Speaker 1: and Justin Fan plus the winner of last week's phrase
- 18:34Speaker 1: that pays contest. Alright, as promised, Justin Fan and Matt
- 18:38Speaker 1: Moore from the Action Network NBA Geniuses, they are joining
- 18:42Speaker 1: me fellas we are two weeks into the bubble. We've
- 18:45Speaker 1: broadcast four games on NBA League Pass. This was essentially
- 18:50Speaker 1: a bubble made for John Moran to phase Zion Williamson.
- 18:54Speaker 1: That is no longer gonna happen. The Suns can't lose,
- 18:56Speaker 1: Dame can't stop scoring, Janice is headbutting people, teach j
- 19:00Speaker 1: Warren is the next Michael Jordan's and Thomas Bryant is
- 19:03Speaker 1: the next NBA superstar. Honestly, God, this is why I
- 19:07Speaker 1: freaking love the n b A. I feel like this
- 19:10Speaker 1: restart has been so much fun. Every day is like
- 19:12Speaker 1: Mark Madness Matt Moore in a linear, succinct fashion. Give
- 19:17Speaker 1: me your takeaway. This has been so good. I want
- 19:20Speaker 1: to change the format of the regular season to adjust
- 19:23Speaker 1: for it. I want there to be relegation after sixty games.
- 19:26Speaker 1: I want to play sixty games, take a month, split
- 19:29Speaker 1: the top fifteen teams, have the bottom fifteen play for
- 19:32Speaker 1: a playoff spot, because we need to recreate this energy.
- 19:34Speaker 1: It's been awesome. I asked this morning on Twitter, how
- 19:36Speaker 1: many of the best games of the year have been
- 19:38Speaker 1: inside of the restart the over unders four and a
- 19:40Speaker 1: half to five, Like that's it's four and a half,
- 19:42Speaker 1: Like it's been amazing and we need it every day
- 19:46Speaker 1: of our lives. Justin I kind of agree with him,
- 19:48Speaker 1: Like it would be so amazing if they could capture
- 19:52Speaker 1: this energy that has been in the restart and translated
- 19:54Speaker 1: to the regular season at least, Like you, some of
- 19:56Speaker 1: these experiments in the NBA has been great about this,
- 19:59Speaker 1: Like they created some a new for the All Star Game,
- 20:01Speaker 1: which had Kyle Lowry taken charges right, and like, now
- 20:04Speaker 1: all of a sudden, we're in this sort of playoff
- 20:06Speaker 1: type format is seating format, and it's amazing. Give me
- 20:09Speaker 1: your takeaways. I mean, we've got four teams within half
- 20:13Speaker 1: a game of each other heading into the final couple
- 20:16Speaker 1: of days. I mean, it's lived up to the hype.
- 20:19Speaker 1: This has been, like you said, the opportunity to showcase
- 20:22Speaker 1: Zion as they made their playoff push. The pills have
- 20:25Speaker 1: just been an absolute disaster overall, and this has still
- 20:28Speaker 1: been a phenomenal success. I mean, I can't say enough
- 20:31Speaker 1: how exciting this has been. Devin Booker and the Sun's
- 20:34Speaker 1: going undefeated so far. I mean, there's been so many storylines,
- 20:37Speaker 1: so many players have kind of emerged as stars in
- 20:41Speaker 1: this format. Michael Porter Jr. Darry Trent Jr. All the
- 20:44Speaker 1: juniors out there just making their seniors proud. So I mean,
- 20:48Speaker 1: I I freaking love it. I mean, I've this has
- 20:50Speaker 1: been exhausting for me. I've never worked more in a
- 20:53Speaker 1: week of my life, just trying to figure out coaches motivations,
- 20:57Speaker 1: team motivations, who's playing, who's not um. But that adds
- 21:01Speaker 1: the fun and excitement of it all. All right, So,
- 21:03Speaker 1: justin a week ago, you said your all NBA team
- 21:08Speaker 1: was t J. Warren, Thomas Bryant, Michael Porter Jr. Gary
- 21:13Speaker 1: Trent Jr. And Derek White. That was a week ago.
- 21:18Speaker 1: Since then, I feel like some people have played themselves
- 21:21Speaker 1: into the All Bubble team. That tell me, if you'd
- 21:24Speaker 1: like to to update. I mean, I gotta, I gotta
- 21:26Speaker 1: replace Derek White and Thomas Bryant for Devin Booker and Dame.
- 21:29Speaker 1: I mean, there's like literally no choice. Those guys have
- 21:31Speaker 1: just forced their way on it. Nobody expected the Sons
- 21:34Speaker 1: to make this type of run, and it's been bizarro
- 21:36Speaker 1: NBA because you have you have the Sons going undefeated
- 21:39Speaker 1: at the same time, Lucas averaging a triple double and
- 21:43Speaker 1: t J. Warren looks like Michael Jordan's so like they
- 21:45Speaker 1: gave t J. Warren up for cash considerations, they passed
- 21:48Speaker 1: on Luca for DeAndre Ayden, and they're still at the
- 21:51Speaker 1: same time thriving. Crazy to wrap your head around, but man,
- 21:54Speaker 1: I mean Michael Porter Jr. T J. Warren, Dame Lillard,
- 22:00Speaker 1: Devon Booker of course. So that's look. We had this
- 22:04Speaker 1: conversation yesterday when we did the lead past broadcast, Matt Moore.
- 22:08Speaker 1: I look at the Suns and like, I see Devin Booker,
- 22:10Speaker 1: I see DeAndre Eton and I think this team has
- 22:15Speaker 1: sort of an inside outside opportunity with two young superstars.
- 22:20Speaker 1: All of a sudden to me, they are very much
- 22:22Speaker 1: in the conversation when it comes to the Grizzlies, the Pelicans,
- 22:27Speaker 1: the Blazers, who I think are actually believe it or
- 22:30Speaker 1: not getting a little older missing their window. But like
- 22:34Speaker 1: in the West, these young teams that can be super exciting.
- 22:38Speaker 1: I love the Sun's team. I love the Sun's team
- 22:40Speaker 1: like right now, if I had to buy sort of
- 22:44Speaker 1: a Sun's future for next year, let's say, to win
- 22:47Speaker 1: the Western Conference, I might do it just for fun. Wow. Okay,
- 22:50Speaker 1: well that's a that's a long way to go for
- 22:52Speaker 1: a team that still gonna finish under five hundred. But
- 22:54Speaker 1: I admire the bravado. Um I do think that they look.
- 22:57Speaker 1: I love the over on the Sun's win tol this year,
- 22:59Speaker 1: and I'm that's not gonna cash because that was the
- 23:01Speaker 1: biggest one that I put a position and on. I
- 23:03Speaker 1: loved that team going in in terms of having veterans
- 23:07Speaker 1: around Booker and Aden. They got rid of a bunch
- 23:09Speaker 1: of guys that didn't know what they were doing and
- 23:11Speaker 1: got them guys that know what they're doing. And when
- 23:13Speaker 1: you do that, you're gonna play better. And they get
- 23:14Speaker 1: a good coach that knows what he's doing. And Monty Williams.
- 23:17Speaker 1: I think that the key for the Suns is gonna
- 23:19Speaker 1: be Booker is going to improve, but the improvements that
- 23:22Speaker 1: he's gonna make now between when now and when he's
- 23:24Speaker 1: thirty are incremental. It's control of the game, it's understanding
- 23:28Speaker 1: how to manipulate officials, and which he was doing great yesterday.
- 23:31Speaker 1: By the way, it's little things. Etan's got a big
- 23:33Speaker 1: improvement curb. He can get much better. Um they need
- 23:36Speaker 1: Mchaal Bridges to become like a top flight defender and
- 23:39Speaker 1: three in d guy and they're gonna need Cam Johnson
- 23:41Speaker 1: to contribute. They still need more. They're probably one piece away.
- 23:45Speaker 1: But I do think that they have the potential to
- 23:47Speaker 1: be a real disruptor, I think in the Western Conference,
- 23:50Speaker 1: and I think it's gonna be fascinating to see if
- 23:52Speaker 1: they wind up getting at the play in what happens,
- 23:55Speaker 1: because if it's Blazers Grizzlies, I absolutely think the Blazers
- 23:58Speaker 1: are gonna smash him. It's Blaze her Sons, that's gonna
- 24:01Speaker 1: be something. Justin giving your take on that, I mean,
- 24:04Speaker 1: I don't even think Aiden's playing that well relative to
- 24:07Speaker 1: what he should be doing. He's averaging like sixteen and
- 24:10Speaker 1: ten since he's been in Orlando, which isn't that great.
- 24:13Speaker 1: For him honestly, and this team is still doing extremely well.
- 24:16Speaker 1: I mean they've been relying on guys like Javon Carter
- 24:19Speaker 1: and TAK commander Cameron Payne in that second unit, who's
- 24:22Speaker 1: taking command of that backup point guard job. So I
- 24:25Speaker 1: love what they're getting from the young guys. McHale Bridges
- 24:28Speaker 1: has been excellent defensively. He's had some kind of big
- 24:31Speaker 1: matchups and and limited opposing stars to uh, you know,
- 24:36Speaker 1: relatively quiet game. So this is a really fun team.
- 24:39Speaker 1: They're still missing a couple of guys too, you know
- 24:41Speaker 1: when they get healthy. Uh you know, Kelly Ubre, Aaron Baines,
- 24:45Speaker 1: two vets that that are important parts of this uh
- 24:48Speaker 1: this rotation. I'm like in their future. Yeah. So right now,
- 24:51Speaker 1: we're like so much time and energy is being spent
- 24:55Speaker 1: to me on the bottom of a Western Conference playoff race,
- 24:58Speaker 1: right because the Blair or lights out and Dame just
- 25:02Speaker 1: seems pissed at everybody, and the Pells have fallen out.
- 25:06Speaker 1: The Grizzlies were doing okay, but then Jaren Jackson has gone.
- 25:09Speaker 1: The Sons cannot lose, and Devin Booker is amazing. But
- 25:13Speaker 1: none of these teams are going to be teams that
- 25:15Speaker 1: sort of matter in the long run in the playoffs,
- 25:19Speaker 1: if we look at the top I'm looking specifically at
- 25:21Speaker 1: the top of the Western Conference right now. Lebron and
- 25:24Speaker 1: Matt Moore. You mentioned this in the Action Network podcast
- 25:28Speaker 1: UH this past week with Preston Johnson. Lebron had his
- 25:32Speaker 1: sort of passive aggressive comments about the locker room, and
- 25:36Speaker 1: then since he said that, like the team has played
- 25:38Speaker 1: much much better, he has played much much better. You
- 25:41Speaker 1: were a big buyer on the Lakers. You were a
- 25:43Speaker 1: big buyer on the Lakers and the Bucks. I think
- 25:46Speaker 1: meeting in the finals, I know Justin is a much
- 25:49Speaker 1: bigger fan of the Clippers. Defend your Lakers position right now.
- 25:53Speaker 1: I think it's harder just because even though they played
- 25:55Speaker 1: better the other night versus the Nuggets, I think in
- 25:57Speaker 1: terms of overall chemistry and offensively, they still almost got
- 26:00Speaker 1: eat by Denver second unit. So like, that's not a
- 26:01Speaker 1: good book third unit, Matt, that's third unit, their third unit,
- 26:05Speaker 1: third unit. But it's bull bull ever a third unit. Um.
- 26:09Speaker 1: I do think though that My big thing with with
- 26:11Speaker 1: the Lakers is just that their floor is very high,
- 26:13Speaker 1: and in the first round they're gonna face either the
- 26:15Speaker 1: Blazers or Sons who are gonna have to have played
- 26:17Speaker 1: either either in a play in an emotional like comeback.
- 26:21Speaker 1: The Blazers defense is so bad that it's hard to
- 26:23Speaker 1: believe that they're gonna be able to pose a real challenge.
- 26:25Speaker 1: Um I'm I'm working that around in my head this morning,
- 26:27Speaker 1: whether the Blazers can do the unthinkable. But after that,
- 26:30Speaker 1: you know, if it's Houston, that gets really interesting. Like
- 26:34Speaker 1: I think the road for the Lakers that actually is
- 26:36Speaker 1: tougher um on paper as it stands right now, because
- 26:40Speaker 1: it's likely to be Blazers Houston and then Clippers, and
- 26:44Speaker 1: those are three really tough opponents they're gonna play, you know,
- 26:47Speaker 1: Damian Lillard, Kawhi Leonard and Paul George and James Harden
- 26:51Speaker 1: and Russell Westbrook. That's a lot to put in front
- 26:53Speaker 1: I think of a team. But I do think that
- 26:56Speaker 1: the Lakers all season have had a great combination of
- 26:58Speaker 1: defense and offense. They have weapons, they have Lebron and
- 27:01Speaker 1: a d and they have enough shooters I think still
- 27:04Speaker 1: around them to make something happen offensively enough to get
- 27:07Speaker 1: them by. I am not so much overly confident the
- 27:11Speaker 1: Clippers or in the Lakers right now, as I am
- 27:13Speaker 1: still not able to talk myself onto the Clippers bandwagon,
- 27:17Speaker 1: justin why are you still back in the Clippers. When
- 27:19Speaker 1: I look up top at what's happened in Orlando, I'm
- 27:22Speaker 1: not liking what I'm seeing from Milwaukee and from the
- 27:25Speaker 1: Lakers so far. On the Milwaukee side, I'm still concerned
- 27:29Speaker 1: about buds insistent and honestly stubbornness to stick with this
- 27:33Speaker 1: drop coverage. I mean, we saw this with Dallas with
- 27:36Speaker 1: Boston two recent games they dropped. He just sticking to it.
- 27:40Speaker 1: They're they're giving up these open jumptions. After open jumptions,
- 27:43Speaker 1: you can get hot and beat this team. We've talked
- 27:45Speaker 1: about this before. Miami bustin with their shooters, they can
- 27:49Speaker 1: give this Bucks team some problems. I'm still not buying
- 27:51Speaker 1: this Bucks team um as a legit contender, and I
- 27:54Speaker 1: think they're very vulnerable out East. And this Lakers team,
- 27:58Speaker 1: how can you be optimistic? They had trouble closing with
- 28:01Speaker 1: their starters versus the Nuggets third unit the other night.
- 28:04Speaker 1: They were actually trying hard to win the game. You
- 28:07Speaker 1: can see Lebron was really engaged and really into it,
- 28:10Speaker 1: and they still had to how to come away with
- 28:13Speaker 1: the wind off the Kyle Kuzma buzzer beater. I mean,
- 28:15Speaker 1: it's crazy how the Lakers team is looking. I'm still
- 28:19Speaker 1: not sold on their depth beyond a D and lebron
- 28:23Speaker 1: Their offense has looked atrocious. I agree with Matt that
- 28:27Speaker 1: the Clippers still have a lot of question marks. Montrese
- 28:30Speaker 1: Harrold has not played a game in Orlando. There. You know,
- 28:32Speaker 1: Patrick Beverley is out um with a strained calf. They
- 28:36Speaker 1: have a lot of questions, but you know, there's still
- 28:38Speaker 1: have been some encouraging things like Paul George and Kauai
- 28:41Speaker 1: have both look great. Um, Jamichael Green has been a
- 28:43Speaker 1: nice little um you know, uh, surprise so far for them.
- 28:47Speaker 1: I think you could be an important piece and in
- 28:49Speaker 1: smaller lineups. Zoobach has looked great. So you know, if
- 28:53Speaker 1: you look at the top three teams, the Clippers, the Lakers, UM,
- 28:56Speaker 1: and the Bucks, the one team that hasn't really disappointed
- 28:59Speaker 1: so far in my opinion in Orlando are the Clippers.
- 29:03Speaker 1: So by default, um, I'm feeling a little better about them. Yeah, well,
- 29:07Speaker 1: you mentioned the Bucks, right, So actually, let me finish
- 29:12Speaker 1: the West because we did not talk about the Rockets enough,
- 29:15Speaker 1: and to me, from the beginning, the Rockets have been
- 29:18Speaker 1: the team that is most interesting. And if you're looking
- 29:21Speaker 1: to make a future's bet on a team that does
- 29:23Speaker 1: not have to worry about going on the road in
- 29:25Speaker 1: the playoffs, like give me James Harden and Russell Westbrook
- 29:28Speaker 1: in sort of neutral environments against the Clippers and against
- 29:32Speaker 1: the Lakers. I feel like that's where I'm finding some
- 29:35Speaker 1: future value. Yeah, and you always want the team that
- 29:38Speaker 1: that increases the variants as an underdog. You know that
- 29:41Speaker 1: they can shoot fifty sixty threes a game. They get hot,
- 29:44Speaker 1: they hit, they hit, you know, and and they're right
- 29:48Speaker 1: in any game. Um, and I like what I'm seeing
- 29:51Speaker 1: from D'Antoni. He's actually starting to rest as guys. We
- 29:54Speaker 1: saw James Harden get Tuesday's game off, Russell Westbrooks sitting
- 29:58Speaker 1: out Wednesday. They're getting air finally after an absence. He's
- 30:03Speaker 1: coming back Wednesday. So things are trending in the right
- 30:05Speaker 1: direction for this team. Jeff Green's playing some good minute Austin.
- 30:09Speaker 1: We had an Austin Rivers game the other night. So yeah,
- 30:12Speaker 1: the Rockets are still that team in the West that
- 30:15Speaker 1: if you want to take a lung Shop there by
- 30:17Speaker 1: far the clear choice for me. All Right, Matt Moore
- 30:21Speaker 1: again on the Action Network podcast last week, and this
- 30:23Speaker 1: helps us switch to the East a little bit. With
- 30:25Speaker 1: Preston Johnson, you talked about finals matchups, and Justin just
- 30:31Speaker 1: made a great case for why the Bucks are probably
- 30:33Speaker 1: not a team you should be betting on to make
- 30:35Speaker 1: the finals from the East, and you guys have both
- 30:38Speaker 1: said a bunch like, look at the Heat, look at
- 30:41Speaker 1: the Celtics. Now, the Sixers are a lot different because
- 30:43Speaker 1: they don't have Ben Simmons and they haven't been playing well,
- 30:45Speaker 1: especially Joel and Beat and Tito Horford together are not
- 30:49Speaker 1: that good on the floor. So there's a huge Like,
- 30:51Speaker 1: the Eastern Conference feels wide open to me. Got the
- 30:54Speaker 1: NBA is so good right now, it's so much fun.
- 30:56Speaker 1: But give me the case for a Rocket Celtics matchup
- 31:01Speaker 1: Matt Moore in the finals. So it comes down to this,
- 31:05Speaker 1: if Justin and I are kind of alignment that we're
- 31:07Speaker 1: probably gonna be betting the Heat, either in the series
- 31:10Speaker 1: price or per game versus the Bucks in the second round,
- 31:12Speaker 1: that we like that matchup a lot. Bucks played drop.
- 31:15Speaker 1: They play that drop coverage, They don't just play a
- 31:17Speaker 1: drop versus pick and roll. They do it on off
- 31:19Speaker 1: screen actions, to which means that the Heat, who run
- 31:22Speaker 1: the most handoffs and are the best handoff team in
- 31:24Speaker 1: the NBA, are coming around those screens and bombing with
- 31:27Speaker 1: Duncan Robinson and Kendrick Nunn and Jimmy Butler and even
- 31:30Speaker 1: and if they don't, they use the slip action with
- 31:33Speaker 1: Kelly olynnok, and he's a good shooter. They have all
- 31:34Speaker 1: these shooters, right, and that's what killed Milwaukee last year
- 31:38Speaker 1: is they couldn't hit shots and Toronto did and the
- 31:40Speaker 1: Heat have I think the most shooting around them. But
- 31:43Speaker 1: if they get past the Bucks with the Sixers now
- 31:47Speaker 1: not having Ben Simmons, that hurts their ability to get
- 31:49Speaker 1: past Boston. So now Boston faces Toronto, who I think
- 31:52Speaker 1: they match up very well with, and then the Eastern
- 31:55Speaker 1: Conference Finals, you'd have Heat versus Boston, and Boston's defense
- 31:59Speaker 1: is much more verse. They'll they have the shooters to
- 32:01Speaker 1: keep up with Miami. So now you have like this
- 32:03Speaker 1: real opportunity for Boston to suddenly come out of the
- 32:06Speaker 1: Eastern Conference. And if you take them on the finals
- 32:09Speaker 1: matchups like at bet MGM, you can get Celtics Clippers
- 32:12Speaker 1: at plus and Celtics Lakers at plus two thousands, Like
- 32:16Speaker 1: those are just really good numbers for what you're looking
- 32:18Speaker 1: at in terms of trying to maximize your value the
- 32:20Speaker 1: Eastern Conference odds for the for the Celtics, I think,
- 32:23Speaker 1: are you know they're they're plus five fifty to win
- 32:26Speaker 1: the Eastern Conference. That's pretty good numbers as well. UM,
- 32:29Speaker 1: I don't know if that's better than just betting them
- 32:30Speaker 1: round by round, but I do feel like there's reason
- 32:32Speaker 1: to go ahead and buy in. The problem though, is
- 32:35Speaker 1: you basically have to figure out the sequence of order,
- 32:38Speaker 1: and the big one that I think you have to
- 32:39Speaker 1: determine is will the Raptors beat the Celtics with the
- 32:42Speaker 1: Celtics beat the Raptors, and how did the heat match
- 32:44Speaker 1: up with those two? And I want to believe in
- 32:46Speaker 1: those three teams, the Celtics are the best. And that's why, Um,
- 32:49Speaker 1: I'm probably gonna put it in a position on the
- 32:51Speaker 1: Celtics just and fired away. Yeah. I actually agree with
- 32:57Speaker 1: that line of reasoning because if you think the if
- 33:02Speaker 1: you think that the heat can give the Bucks and problems,
- 33:04Speaker 1: maybe both upset and it ends up being Celtics Raptors.
- 33:07Speaker 1: Celtics have gone three and one in the regular They
- 33:11Speaker 1: match up really well. The one Achilles heel for the
- 33:13Speaker 1: Celtics team is if they face a true post big
- 33:16Speaker 1: man like Joel and Be, that can given problems. You
- 33:18Speaker 1: look at this Toronto side. They have Marcus Soul Surge Ibaka,
- 33:23Speaker 1: big men that like to space it out, shoot from
- 33:25Speaker 1: shoot jumpers. They don't really have a true post threat. Um.
- 33:28Speaker 1: Pascal Siakam does a little bit of everything. He isn't
- 33:31Speaker 1: quite that Joel embiid, So that weakness that you know
- 33:35Speaker 1: at that center position is not exposed as much as
- 33:37Speaker 1: it should be. So uh, Kemma Walker he said he's
- 33:41Speaker 1: feeling great. His minutes slimon has been increased. Um. They
- 33:45Speaker 1: have a lot of weapons and depth. Uh you know, Kemba,
- 33:50Speaker 1: Gordon Hayward has looked great. And then you have Jalen
- 33:52Speaker 1: Brand and Jason Tatum so and Marcus Smart the ultimate
- 33:55Speaker 1: wild cards. So I I think that Celtics Clippers, uh,
- 34:00Speaker 1: you know, finals matchup is a good investment to make,
- 34:02Speaker 1: just kind of if you kind of play out the
- 34:04Speaker 1: East and all these matchups and how they can go. Um,
- 34:08Speaker 1: I am very bullish on the Raptors in general, but
- 34:11Speaker 1: not as optimistic about them when they have to go
- 34:14Speaker 1: up against the Celtics team. Alright, justin fan Celtics Clippers final.
- 34:18Speaker 1: Can I say that as your final answer? I mean,
- 34:23Speaker 1: I'm gonna talk all this snack about the Bucks, but
- 34:25Speaker 1: I still think they have enough to to make it
- 34:28Speaker 1: to the finals. Um. I think the Heat are going
- 34:30Speaker 1: to give them a real sweat, maybe take them a six, um,
- 34:33Speaker 1: maybe seven, But I think they'll have enough to emerge
- 34:37Speaker 1: out of the East. Um. But I think it'll just
- 34:39Speaker 1: be a lot closer than people think. And it would
- 34:43Speaker 1: be a bad bet based on their their price, to
- 34:46Speaker 1: to bet them to to win the East or to
- 34:48Speaker 1: make the final, because I think there are a lot
- 34:50Speaker 1: more vulner mole than than people think. But I'll still
- 34:52Speaker 1: take them, and my finals matchup will be Clippers versus Bucks.
- 34:57Speaker 1: With the Clippers winning, nobody becomes a legend bet and chalk.
- 35:02Speaker 1: I mean, I'm fading the most chalky team right now,
- 35:05Speaker 1: the Lakers right there, they're the favorite. All right, Matt Moore,
- 35:09Speaker 1: give me your final answer. My final answer is to
- 35:13Speaker 1: take Lakers, Celtics, Lakers, Clippers as a package and then wait,
- 35:16Speaker 1: to bet the Bucks as an underdog in the finals. Wow,
- 35:20Speaker 1: that is next level strategicy and planning right there. This
- 35:24Speaker 1: is like watching you guys and Chris Raybon on Lea
- 35:26Speaker 1: Pass where you are trying to figure out, like when
- 35:29Speaker 1: are you gonna bet the live line on whichever sort
- 35:33Speaker 1: of price is going to be amazing? Which was awesome
- 35:35Speaker 1: when you guys were doing it on Lea Pass. But
- 35:37Speaker 1: I like the way you're thinking there, Matt More, that
- 35:39Speaker 1: is really really that is next level betting right there.
- 35:41Speaker 1: You've learned so much in the past couple of years.
- 35:43Speaker 1: Probably all right, guess what, guys? Uh? Two weeks ago,
