Originally Aired: October 26, 1952 Dragnet #175, "The Big Number," Sergeant Joe Friday and Officer Frank Smith respond to a bank robbery in progress at the corner of Lebanon and Broadway. By the time they arrive just four minutes after the call, the professional bandit has already escaped with his haul. At the scene, they encounter Mr. Allen, the flustered bank manager, and Gibson, the apologetic bank guard who had unwittingly let the armed robber into the bank just as it was closing at 3 PM. The suspect, wielding a sawed-off twelve-gauge shotgun, had ordered Gibson to surrender his weapon…
