- 1:29and if you are a Amazon Prime member, you can actually borrow it and
- 1:38read it for free. It's another good superhero comedy and it definitely carries on

- 1:49these novella sequels and we'll be getting them into paperback soon. And of course
- 1:53we also have in development and I hope to have it out before Christmas.
- 1:59Another called what Made the Golden Age Shine? Kind of a manifesto, and
- 2:04so we're working on that. All right. Well, now it's time to
- 2:07get into today's episode of Yours Truly, Johnny Doller. This one is called
- 2:13The Harpooned Angler Manner. Well, y'are listening enjoyment? John lund As,
- 2:23Johnny Da Philip Martin, Johnny, got your passport ready? Where to now?
- 2:28French riviera town called Cassis has got a death clam from there on a
- 2:31policy holder by the name of Arnold Burn. Yet something wrong with the claim
- 2:36Policies for seventy five thousand was written thirty three years ago. Well, so
- 2:39what don't you ever expect your policy holders to die with fishing spears driven through
- 2:45their back? I'll be ready in an hour, Hi, Phillip, care
- 2:58to join me in a quick look at the ask? Okay, here goes
- 3:02back around eighteen ninety, Charles Dudley Warner, who was editor of the Hartford
- 3:07Current, wrote in an editorial everybody talks about the weather, but nobody does
- 3:15anything about it. Well, maybe no one did in eighteen ninety, but
- 3:19someone definitely has since then. Our United States weatherman, he's quite a busy
- 3:25gentleman who works for the Department of Commerce. His job is who read thermometers,
- 3:30barometers, anemometers, and other assorted meters which forecast weather conditions so the
- 3:37rest of us will know what to plan or what not to plan, like
- 3:40hanging out the water going to a baseball game. Information about weather conditions is
- 3:46also given to aircraft pilots and ship captains so they can plan their flights or
- 3:51cruises accordingly. Of course, they need more than just weather data, and
- 3:55the Commerce Department gives them what they need. The pilots, the department issues
- 4:01aviation charts and maps and sees to it that air markers are laid out so
- 4:06that the pilots can find their way easily and safely. For the ship captains,
- 4:12the Commerce Department issues nautical charts and tide tables to indicate when and where
- 4:16it will be safe to navigate their ships. The department also inspects the ships
- 4:23to see that they're in perfect operating condition and issues licenses for the operating of
- 4:28the ships. So the next time you look up at the sky and wonder
- 4:31what kind of a day it's going to be. The thought might also cross
- 4:34your mind that many lives and valuable cargo carried by American planes and ships are
- 4:41depending on the United States weatherman who is also looking at the sky expect account
- 5:00submitted by Special Investigator Johnny Daughter to Home Office, washingtony and Life Insurance Company
- 5:04in Hartford, Connecticut. The following is an accounting of expenditures during my investigation
- 5:09of the harpooned Angler matter Expense to count ITOM one four hundred and seventy three
- 5:17dollars and twenty five cents airfare, railroad transportation and incidentals between Hartford and Cassie's
- 5:24Friend. Expense to count item two fifty dollars. Rental of a snappy in
- 5:28nineteen thirty seven Nibox, Victoria. After an invigorating journey from the rental agency
- 5:33marred only by an engine breakdown in the blowout, I arrived at the office
- 5:38of the man who sent in the death claim on behalf of Arnold Banner's widow.
- 5:42Welcome will become my darling, mister daughter, Welcome to Cussy Well,
- 5:46Thank you are you a convec school. Dear man comes largelow under at your
- 5:51service? Are you were here concerning poor dear departure Donold brand ghee? Yes,
- 5:56that's the ghostly seeking to have to so unfortunate so so here one moment
- 6:00in the next. But why should we dwell up an unhappy thing? You
- 6:05will give me the insurance check for seventy five thousand dollars made payable to Magda
- 6:10Banner. I will give you the receipt and we will have disposed everything.
- 6:14No, not quite just what is your possession and a spectre account perfectly simple
- 6:18daling dollar count large London SCOO renders his most capable services to those who require
- 6:24assistance in delicate matters financial and otherwise. For a slight consideration, of course,
- 6:30you might call me a charge dare for the bereaved and the unfortunate.
- 6:34I say, now, what is his business about a phishing spear? Oh
- 6:41yeah, so inconsiderate of deer Arnold to come to his end in so sordid
- 6:45a manner A phishing spear, So indelicate of poor Arnold at least it's unusual.
- 6:50Do you mind telling me how it happened? I thought you knew Magdalen
- 6:55dollar deer Arnold was engaged in what has so unfortunately become the sport of the
- 7:00review of what that Oh, an insanity, my dear man, an incredible
- 7:02insanity which leads one to penetrate the very depth of the ocean clad only in
- 7:08swimming trunks and a cumbersome, unbecoming helmet of some kind. Or you're talking
- 7:12about skin diving, Well, whatever term one chooses to call it, it
- 7:15is a most incredible, ungentlemanly sport. Okay, Arnold Vernaer was skin diving,
- 7:18then, what, my darling dollar, It was all so sordid but
- 7:23so simple. When he had been underwater for over an hour, somebody found
- 7:27him, he was brought up to the surface, and then he was dead
- 7:30with a fishing spear in his back. Precisely now, so who we have
- 7:35disposed a matter of dear Arnold's pat ma'am, if it's beneficiary was responsible for
- 7:41having planted that sphere, Oh, my dear dollar, what a ghastly thing
- 7:46to say. Such a dear, sweet, lovable creature as Marc Debenia couldn't
- 7:49possibly have been so indiscreet as to have done such a thing. Now,
- 7:54this simply could not be, would think, what would happened then to my
- 7:58remuneration for handling me said yeah, I left a good count and drove down
- 8:09to the Bargner villa to pay my respects to the widow. Her establishment was
- 8:16located on a bluff overlooking the gulfs de Leon. The scenery was magnificent looking
- 8:24for me. It's your ballot. If you're a Missus Arnold Bernie, I
- 8:28am sep down. Thanks. A beautiful day does not miss here. It's
- 8:35sun so it's a freeze, a gentleman connection to the king. You're a
- 8:41sun worshiper, Missus Barnian. I wish up all the things that I must
- 8:43expired in life. Oh beauty, come home, looks pers the delicate way
- 8:50of perfectly matched p You have expensive days? Why should I not pass?
- 8:56No reason? If you can afford them. You do only request money.
- 9:01Most people can't discuss the words so easily. Most people are not negatable near
- 9:05it. I knows was an excellent provider. I was wondering when you were
- 9:09going to come around to him. You think I should have mentioned my dead
- 9:13husband sooner? Sounds reasonable. That's why, Well you knew who I was
- 9:18when I arrived. That means Zandeski must have phoned you saw you know why
- 9:22I'm here? That is quite true. And you still don't think the subject
- 9:26shouldn't come up sooner? Why shouldn't It is unno important to me? What
- 9:30isn't your husband's death or my investigation? Your husband was murdered, Missus Barnier.
- 9:35Aren't you interested in determining who did it? It would not give uns
- 9:39back reply No, but it could affect yours if you were involved in it
- 9:43in some way. You rather fantastic conception if your dollar. If you must
- 9:48pursue this pointless investigation, I suggest you attain all your future information from the
- 9:54younger police inspector on it. Well, there's one thing I don't think you
- 9:56can tell me, no, how you really felt about your husband, Inspector
- 10:09lan Yeah, proved to be a welcome relief from both count laslow and Escu
- 10:13and the lovely cold blooded Mark de Bagner. But he wasn't a great deal
- 10:18more enlightening, Yes, mister dollar. Skin diving was a favorite fast time
- 10:22of Monsieur Delanner. He would often indulge in it hours at a time.
- 10:26He used some kind of aqua long equipment. Inspector hernet and face mask equipped
- 10:31with confessed air its enabled him to stay down under water for approximately an hour
- 10:35at a time. Only this time he did not come up. Who discovered
- 10:41the body? Monsieur David No. Who is he? A young American scientist
- 10:46who is conducting underwater explorations along the Casis coast. He had a small ship
- 10:50to Diana from which he operates collecting marine specimens. He had reached the depth
- 10:56of some hundred feet and was about to return to the surface when he just
- 11:00a small groppo in one side of the block. Flying just inside the entrance
- 11:05was the body of Sieur Delgner with a fishing spear through an emphasise. So
- 11:09sometime between ten thirty and noon, someone met Bilgner under water and killed him.
- 11:16Any idea who I could have been at this time of year? The
- 11:20cold is filled with underwater swimmers indulging in this latest phrase of the Riviera.
- 11:26And what about this spear itself an ordinary fishing spear discharged from a compast air
- 11:31tube. Its counterpart may be found in hundreds of hands. Any personal suspects
- 11:37annual list and Afred not what about Marc Debigner? And certainly there was no
- 11:43financial motivation. There's a seventy five thousand dollars insurance policy. I assure you
- 11:48that means nothing. Belnier was an immensely wealthy man. Well, what about
- 11:54business associates? He had been retired for twenty years and a journey by the
- 11:58name of Almand got Kier. And that's say, Handles is a fails.
- 12:01We have checked in perfect order. Any personal enemies so far as we have
- 12:07been able to ask a thin none, Well, we obviously had one.
- 12:13Well, thanks for your time, inspector, but I only that I could
- 12:16not have been about the media assistance. But if there is anything you wish
- 12:20to well, go oh sure, go ahead, I aspect the Laniel.
- 12:26Have we one moment please? It is to you missus daughter. Oh thanks,
- 12:31hello you Johnny Donna the insurance man. That's right. Who's this?
- 12:35My name's David Nort. I'd like to talk to you. What about the
- 12:39murder of Arnold Bernier? What do you know about it? Let's save that
- 12:43for our talk. Okay, where do we get together? There's a cafe
- 12:46in town, the Golden Pheasant. I'll meet you there how soon? Oh
- 12:50about a half hour? Who told you I'd be here I'm Desko or Mike
- 12:54de BERNERA. Why should she have called you about that? Who else did
- 13:00you expected to call? Donor We're gonna be married, dark Wayne. There
- 13:09were some half dozen sailors and roused about seated around the Golden Peasant, but
- 13:13no sign of anyone who might be an American marine scientist by the name of
- 13:16David North. So I took over one of the tables, ordered the connact
- 13:20to help pass the time, and waited. More than an hour had passed
- 13:31and North still hadn't turned up. I was about to call it quits when
- 13:35the place was enlivened by a new arrival, A dollar. Magnificent coincidence which
- 13:46judged oh and fun. They were moot cases at once typerly yes, as
- 13:52I was saying, a simply magnificent coincidence, You do not mind my Donden
- 13:56dollar if I join you. You already have so I have yet, which
- 14:01makes it all the more charming, does it not? Now? So you
- 14:05are here, I I am here. We may not conclude out at pair
- 14:09of business. You're talking about that insurance check a trifling matter, I will
- 14:13confess in somewhat boring. Nevertheless, it does concern money, and I dearly
- 14:18love money. It has so many uses. You know, what about the
- 14:22little manner of finding out who murdered Arnold Berne? Well that who? This
- 14:28is of no consequence now, which is why I have sought you out here.
- 14:31Oh that's interesting. No, you presented a problem to me. And
- 14:37what does the magnificent contlarge LANDesk to do? And he has faced with a
- 14:39problem, he solves it. You know who kill him? But of course
- 14:46who else could it be but that American David Norton. So now you will
- 14:50give me the check, but make sure I think it's not. It is
- 14:54so obvious, my darling dollar Nor has supplied the proof himself by his suicide.
- 15:00Suicide. Oh did I forget to inform your healthcare less of me?
- 15:05But yeah, they are catching his body up from the bottom of the gulf
- 15:09even now. When I got to the beach where a dozen people were gathered
- 15:20around watching a rowboat heading toward the shore, there were three men aboard dressed
- 15:26in swimming counts. One of whom I recognize is Inspector Lan Yell. They
- 15:35give the doctor jarette at once, give my card as a part to the
- 15:37end of the beach, completely not there's no time to lose what happened.
- 15:41In fact there well apparent Lyams, you're not decided not to keep his appointment
- 15:46as you. Instead he went skin diving, ending approximately the same spot of
- 15:50the point where Arnold Belnier was found. Any idea why none? When he
- 15:54had been done approximately fifteen minutes, the members of this crew about the diona
- 16:00in concern, two of them went diving for him. Where did they find
- 16:03him? In the same little underwater grotto where Arnold Burgner was found. As
- 16:07he saw, he was unconscious. Fortunately his aqua lung was still working until
- 16:11he had not long. But there was a bad scalp wound in his head,
- 16:15and this was lying on the grotto floor beside him another fishing spear han
- 16:22Obviously he was attacked in the same manner as Burgnay had been any chance that
- 16:27the wound was self conflicted? None? And in a way that is most
- 16:33unfortunate. Why then, if it had been attempted suicide, the case might
- 16:37have been closed. I had jopped uncovered evidence which could have convinced me that
- 16:42David not had murdered Arnold Burgner. You know many grape men have attained the
- 17:00highest office in our land, the presidency of the United States. Can you
- 17:04guess the name of this man? In seventeen seventy, as one of the
- 17:10leading lawyers in Massachusetts, he defended the British soldiers who fired on Servigians during
- 17:15the so called Boston Massacre. His four years as president were perhaps the stormiest
- 17:21in our history, as he fought to keep America out of a war with
- 17:23France. But an official war against France brought George Washington off of retirement as
- 17:30commander of the Army and gave birth to the phrase millions for defense, but
- 17:34not one cent for tribute. If you don't have his name by now,
- 17:40here are two more clues. During his presidency, Washington became the national capital
- 17:45and the Eleventh Amendment was adopted. Who was he? John Adams, second
- 17:52President of the United States? His life is part of your American heritage.
- 18:03And now, with our star John Lund, we bring you the second act
- 18:07of yours truly, Johnny Dollar. We went back to Inspector Lanyal's office,
- 18:26and while we waited for David North to regain consciousness, Laniel told me about
- 18:30the new evidence. It was revealed in a court order. Mons your dollar,
- 18:33David North's ship was being attached for non payment of a debtor to Arnold
- 18:38Degner. What death was then North to run out of funds in the pot
- 18:42of darry Inn on the Red Sea, where he had been collecting specimens,
- 18:45and this fue ran into him. There saw an opportunity to make a commission
- 18:49for himself, and persuaded anold Bagner to lend North to funds. How much
- 18:55was involved some two thousand dollars, hardly enough for a man like Bergner to
- 18:59gets sighted of a fool. But if you compound the money with Norts coming
- 19:03here and then becoming friendly with the lovely Mudda, oh, you figure the
- 19:07two way more than by murdering Bargner, North saves his ship and gets the
- 19:11girl. Is it not logical? Well, it was before that little accident
- 19:17happened the North. But there is no need for us to concern ourselves with
- 19:19idle conjecture. When Nat recovers consciousness, you can insults in from us,
- 19:25or it might pay the conjecture about one thing. Meanwhile, inspector what is
- 19:30that the whereabouts off Magda Bargner? During the past couple of hours, I
- 19:45had thought we had seen the last each other. Well, it seems that
- 19:48you forgot a couple of pertinent things, including David Nord. Why should I
- 19:53have discussed him? Well, how indifferent can you be about the man you're
- 19:57going to marry? Did he tell you that he did? David? It's
- 20:03like a little child so tries to convince himself that the world of his dreams
- 20:08is the true world, and it's not. No, David worships me that
- 20:15it's nothing would not do for me in return for a kind word or a
- 20:18him to be smiled, like committing murder. Used to think he would even
- 20:23do that? And did he? I do not have the saint his idea.
- 20:29Then there's nothing to his statement about marriage between you. Nothing. M
- 20:36you mind telling me where you've been the past couple of hours? Right here
- 20:40in front of this science life. You haven't been swimming. I seldom swim.
- 20:48He was getting dark when I left the Villon had I had better find
- 21:00out if North was well enough to tell his side of the story before I
- 21:03closed up shop for the night, Inspected Lanya. I was just leaving doctor
- 21:08Gerret's office as I drove up. Is it you, Monsieur Donna? Yeah,
- 21:14that's right, Inspector. Why don't you learn anything from David Dawn,
- 21:18nor of Monsieur and we another little he just died. Well after that little
- 21:27announcement, that didn't seem to be much reason for me to hang around the
- 21:30town of Cassie's that night, So I started out along the coast road towards
- 21:34Marseilles. A little way out of town, a gleaming black chauffeur driven limousine
- 21:47swept by me. There was just time for me to catch a glimpse of
- 21:56a blonde head lying back luxurious play against the rear seat cushions. Then it
- 22:02turned a bend in the road ahead and was gone. There were several intriguing
- 22:07possibilities as to why Marc de Bargne would leave her fire and head for Marseilles.
- 22:17I proceeded toward my destination in Marseille, the residence of one armand Goucher
- 22:22attorney, the man who'd been in charge of Arnold Bergner's affairs. Le My
- 22:45name is Dollar, mister Goachet insurance investigative. I'd like to talk to you
- 22:48for a few minutes. I am not in the habit of conducting business at
- 22:52my home. This should alone. If you get to call my office in
- 22:56the money. I am certain an appointment can be arraigned. My good Barnier
- 23:00might be happier if we talk right now. Do not comprehend your reference,
- 23:04monsieur. Well, would it help any if I told you that she was
- 23:08number one on the list of suspects and the murders of her husband and David
- 23:12north coming? Please thanks this way? Please you realize, of course,
- 23:26monsieur Della, but to suspect it and Bergnier and such crimes is sheer nonsense.
- 23:32They won't you said? Thank you? Whenever? If you want a
- 23:36list of possible motives, we can start with money, ridiculous. Magda stud
- 23:41to gain nothing by the death of Arnald Bergnier, No, I'm not.
- 23:45At the time of their marriage he gave her a tremendous independent fortune, and
- 23:49one that even if Magdabergnier could not dissipate in a lifetime, and the balance
- 23:55of his estate is will to charitable institutions. Okay, then what about boredom
- 24:03hatred? You have met Madame Dannier spoken with her. Yes, man,
- 24:08you must realize that a thoroughly et anistic woman like Magda can never become bored
- 24:15so long as she can suffet herself with the luxuries of life. Almost still
- 24:19one other possibility. Margner was some thirty years older than Magda, and David
- 24:26North was a pretty rugged specimen of a young male animal. He was also
- 24:30stupid and callow youth, one who might be temporarily amusing to a woman like
- 24:34Magda years but one does not to risk giving up a way of lifeless youth
- 24:38for the sake of the temporary amusement. How true, Well, thanks for
- 24:45your time. I have convinced you that. Well, let's say that I
- 24:49found out what I came here to learn and what is man the possibility of
- 24:55another man and Magda's life, But we have this poost. Thank monsieur.
- 25:02You should have disposed that makes perfume too, But I couldn't miss it when
- 25:07I walked in here, and after your kind cooperation and character analysis, I
- 25:12couldn't be rude enough to accuse you of wearing it. I do not understand
- 25:23that you dotta. I agree that the desire for money makes an excellent multiple
- 25:27murder. But what is the connection between left and Arnold Durgner? Is pobby
- 25:32of skin diving inspector Send a diver down to take a closer look at that
- 25:36undersea grotto or he and North were killed. And I think you'll come up
- 25:40with the answer very well, Dota. I would have it done first thing
- 25:44in the morning. Now better do it right now, and this should do
- 26:00it nicely, don't hum? Are sure you want to make the dive yourself?
- 26:04But why not I offensive myself or other efficients that they are. And
- 26:08if what you suspect the flu it might be best to keep it between the
- 26:11two of us. Okay, is this the lantern you want to use me?
- 26:19No? If you will help me with the helmet the aqua lounge shirt,
- 26:23yeah, yeah, then well healthy, that'll be fine. I'll take
- 26:32your word for it. Blan Yell adjusted the rubber flippers and his feet,
- 26:44shrugged, the helmet and aqua lung more comfortably on his back and shoulders,
- 26:48and then slipped over the side. Forty five minutes is along? I'm to
- 27:00wait in an open boat at night when you know a man is swimming far
- 27:03below the surface in a spot where two other men had met death before him,
- 27:08and I knew it must seem even longer to Inspector lan Yell. But
- 27:12finally he came to the surface. He held out to the gunnal of the
- 27:21boat with one hand and gave me a small wooden box for the other,
- 27:26a water tight wooden box marked marine specimen. I gave him a hand and
- 27:33pulled him into the boat. Then, as he started to take off the
- 27:36helmet, I turned to the box and opened it. The marine specimens consisted
- 27:42of some insignificant looking brownish weeds. I didn't have a chance to examine them
- 27:48more closely. It was just about then that I turned my head and noticed
- 27:52that the spear gun was pointing at my back, charming that we should meet
- 27:59again under such delightful circumstances. He's just not my darling dollar, whereas Lan
- 28:03yell and for the third time, it was necessary for me to leave someone
- 28:07below at the entrance to the Grottho, do you have no idea how boring
- 28:10this procedure is? Becoming a fishing spear again? Oh, my darling dollar,
- 28:15I want imaginative? Do you believe me to be, particularly after I
- 28:18only succeeded in wounding dear mister. No, no, no, no,
- 28:22The dear inspector is lying unconscious from a blow to the head as soon as
- 28:26oxygen will run out, and then pooh, this spear, I say for
- 28:32you here where I cannot possibly miss. Oh, please don't bother you know
- 28:36you are magnificent by that dollar incomparable, I had not thought it possible for
- 28:41you to connect me with this affair in so short a time. Yeah,
- 28:45you're a little drug smuggling actors run into a few alps to their pity.
- 28:48Such a magnificent plan obtaining the ashiesh for practically nothing in the Red Sea area,
- 28:53with Ardrew Berngy's money, transporting it here aboard david ship, concealing it
- 28:59in the grotthood to take it to shore when the time was running a magnificent
- 29:03plan. Only a Bergner put a crimpet, And that was indeed a pity,
- 29:07poor dear Arnold. But he came upon my underwater whales. No remarse
- 29:11about David North. A sentimental cat would be my daughter and gonna. I
- 29:18suppose North was diving from one of those boxes to bring me the proof.
- 29:21When things happened pretty passed just about that the boxing endescue in a chest.
- 29:27The spear missed me by slightly less than a hair my fisted endescue's jaw,
- 29:33and he hit the water. Oh a jolly good time. Was had by
- 29:36all, including Inspector Lan Yell. I managed to raise some help from the
- 29:40shore on get a diver down to him before his oxygen ran out and Deescu

- 30:55Virginia, Greg Edgar Barrier and Lou Krupman. Yours truly Johnny Dollars produced undirected
- 31:00Behind Me, Delva, welcome back. Well, there was plenty of to
- 31:10me, there was plenty of hints for us to go ahead and suspect the
- 31:14eventual murderer. Uh. It did seem that there was quite a bit of
- 31:22misdirection that was attempted here by the writers as they tried to get us focused
- 31:27on um on you know, the people who may have wanted to actually get
- 31:37it the rich did rich widow's money, you know, got us all focused
- 31:42on that, but really just misdirection from the main point, which was that
- 31:48this guy uh knew or came to Johnny with this whole bizarre story about suicide
- 31:56before anyone else really knew what happened to him. Well, now we turned
- 32:01to lessener comments and feedback, Jared says, and this comes from Facebook,
- 32:08by the way, thanks for all. Contemporary culture surely needs this reminder of
- 32:14what America was and truly should be. A culture without a memory is truly
- 32:17lost. Keep it up, well, thanks so much, Jared, and
- 32:22I agree, and I'm so thankful for the existence of all of these recordings.
- 32:27You know, we could probably could not have done this type of show
- 32:32ten years ago, certainly not fifteen years ago. It's just such amazing stuff
- 32:40that exists out there, so we can kind of have that picture of the
- 32:45past and the way things were in so many ways, and we kind of
- 32:50saw that with this episode and this classic sort of warning against the dangers of
- 32:55superficiality and materialism, and this, I think, particularly in the wartime period
- 33:04and directly after war, really became a recurring theme of so many programs and
- 33:12so many different episodes. People had been through and experienced, you know,
- 33:19life where material resources were scarce, and then during the war a lot of
- 33:24people had more money than they knew, you know, what to do with
- 33:30and ended up putting a lot of it into savings bonds, and you know,
- 33:36it was kind of I think an interesting contrasts because on one hand,
- 33:42you know, people who after the war were determined to make a much better
- 33:45life for their kids and to give their kids, you know, as much
- 33:49as they possibly could after all the years of sacrifice. But there are also
- 33:53many authors who having seen you know that you know, the past few years,
- 34:00reminded us, you know, that money is not the most important things.
- 34:06So that's kind of an interesting thing that showed up in this episode,
- 34:08and David comments simply loved Fred Allen. Well, thanks so much, and
- 34:14that referenced one of the app extras we uploaded which featured Fred Allen and Jay
- 34:25Scott Smart from The Fat Man where that was kind of his major claim to
- 34:32fame which prior to The Fat Man, but Freddick as one of the regulars
- 34:40in what was called Allen as Alley, and you know, it's interesting to
- 34:46find some of these U actors and kind of the rule we placed for the
- 34:52extras we put in there is we don't want it to be something we would
- 34:55normally play on the Great Detectives Program, and we also don't want it to
- 35:04and it's just got to star one of the detective actors. We found us
- 35:07so many fascinating things out there, so hopefully we'll find more. I think
- 35:12that's the second time we played an episode of Fred Allen. The first time
- 35:15was with Sidney green Street. All right, well, that we'll do it
- 35:21for today. We will be back on Monday with the Adventures of Frank Race
- 35:27and then join us back here on Friday for another episode of Yours Truly Johnny
- 35:30Doller, but from Boise, Idaho. This is your host Adam Graham signing off
