- 0:07[SPEAKER_02]: Welcome to the Dog's Podcast with your hosts, Lake Renaker, Justin Charles, and Josh All.
- 0:18[SPEAKER_03]: Hey, what's up, Brown fans?
- 0:19[SPEAKER_03]: Welcome back to another episode of The Dogs Podcast.
- 0:21[SPEAKER_03]: Josh, all you're host on a Wednesday.
- 0:23[SPEAKER_03]: After doing the Tuesday show yesterday, I don't think we'll be doing multiple solo shows a week, but this time around things are happening.
- 0:30[SPEAKER_03]: And we just need to talk about it.
- 0:31[SPEAKER_03]: Plus, I got four voicemails from you guys yesterday, after you knew that I thought.
- 0:35[SPEAKER_03]: First of all, all the voicemails are very good.
- 0:37[SPEAKER_03]: You guys brought up great points and asked some very good questions that,
- 0:41[SPEAKER_03]: I don't want to snub and push off until Thursday or just not even be able to do this week.
- 0:45[SPEAKER_03]: I want to answer them and get that out there for you guys because I was I was happy to hear what you guys have to say.
- 0:52[SPEAKER_03]: And we also need to talk about Shidorah Sanders.
- 0:54[SPEAKER_03]: Obviously we talked yesterday about how Mary K. Cabot unofficially declared him to be the starter on Sunday against the Raiders.
- 1:01[SPEAKER_03]: But now today it has been made official.
- 1:04[SPEAKER_03]: by the Cleveland Browns and Kevin Stephanski.
- 1:06[SPEAKER_03]: So we're going to talk about all that to real quick, probably a shorter episode today, but so just want to get these thoughts and everything out to you guys.
- 1:13[SPEAKER_03]: If you want to be part of the dog pack and be part of the discord live episodes, the next one will happen tomorrow, Thursday at 5 o'clock PM in the discord, go to join thedogs.com become official dog pack member on the Patreon page.

- 1:49[SPEAKER_03]: We appreciate everybody tuning in to the show.
- 1:53[SPEAKER_03]: Okay, so
- 1:55[SPEAKER_03]: Kevin Spansky's press conference today.
- 1:57[SPEAKER_03]: I haven't listened haven't.
- 1:58[SPEAKER_03]: I didn't even read the transcript or anything today.
- 2:01[SPEAKER_03]: All I know is I saw that he said that should or Sanders will be the starter on Sunday in Las Vegas against the Raiders.
- 2:08[SPEAKER_03]: Dilling game we're obviously still going through concussion protocol.
- 2:11[SPEAKER_03]: We knew there was a very slim to potentially no chance that he gets cleared from the protocol in less than a week.
- 2:19[SPEAKER_03]: So
- 2:20[SPEAKER_03]: Just a fancy session or Sanders will get all the first team reps this week, leading up to the game.
- 2:26[SPEAKER_03]: Now, this is the thing that's going to happen.
- 2:29[SPEAKER_03]: Bailey's happy will be elevated to the active roster from the practice squad.
- 2:32[SPEAKER_03]: He will be the QB2.
- 2:34[SPEAKER_03]: Now, none of this was said, at least as far as I know.
- 2:36[SPEAKER_03]: None of this was said.
- 2:37[SPEAKER_03]: I'm just telling you,
- 2:38[SPEAKER_03]: logically like this is what's going to happen.
- 2:39[SPEAKER_03]: He's going to get elevated.
- 2:40[SPEAKER_03]: He will be the QB2 for the game on Sunday.
- 2:43[SPEAKER_03]: If any reports come out this week that Bailey's happy took any first team reps in practice.
- 2:50[SPEAKER_03]: There is going to be a shitstorm like no shitstorms.
- 2:52[SPEAKER_03]: You have seen yet this season around Shador Sanders because Sanders took no first team reps ever.
- 3:00[SPEAKER_03]: ever in all this time here in Cleveland never taken a first team rep specifically never taken a first team rep even when he was the QB2 despite doing Gabriel getting first team reps when he was the QB2 software but he says hey you know the the QB2 never takes first team reps such as not something NFL teams do all 32 teams give all the reps to the QB1 not true not true the Cleveland Browns themselves
- 3:26[SPEAKER_03]: gave first team reps to their backup quarterback earlier this season and then decided to stop doing that.
- 3:33[SPEAKER_03]: Once Shador Sanders was the QB2.
- 3:35[SPEAKER_03]: So this will be interesting.
- 3:36[SPEAKER_03]: I'm not saying it's going to happen.
- 3:37[SPEAKER_03]: I'm not saying those reports are going to come out.
- 3:39[SPEAKER_03]: I'm just saying watch for it.
- 3:41[SPEAKER_03]: If it happens, holy crap.
- 3:44[SPEAKER_03]: But one other thing I'm going to talk about with Shador before I get to your guys voicemails was the call in the report from Albert Brear to 92 through the fan the other day.
- 3:55[SPEAKER_03]: I just put out a short video talking about this, but he is saying from his understanding or from what he's been told what he's heard, is that Kevin Stephansky reportedly told the offensive staff before the season, so this could be at any point over training camp or going all the way back to the draft, most likely in my opinion, that this year would be a scheduled red shirt season
- 4:23[SPEAKER_03]: So if that's true, I posted this on X.
- 4:29[SPEAKER_03]: It tells me a couple of things.
- 4:30[SPEAKER_03]: Number one, unless Kevin Stephansky or some team official told Albert Brear this, and this is like the team's official, they're coming out and they're reporting and the team, the browns themselves are saying, hey, look, we plan for Shador not to really play this show.
- 4:47[SPEAKER_03]: I was going to be a red shirt year.
- 4:49[SPEAKER_03]: if that's not the case, if they're not the one saying this, then it looks like the Browns have a leak.
- 4:56[SPEAKER_03]: Looks like someone within the organization wants people out here to know that Kevin Stephansky never intended to play should or Sanders this year.
- 5:05[SPEAKER_03]: Or he was going to get maybe the last
- 5:07[SPEAKER_03]: gamer to just to get his feet wet in the NFL, but as far as getting ample opportunity and playing time to really show what he can do, that was never in the plans as far as the head coach was concerned.
- 5:24[SPEAKER_03]: where it gets interesting, one, the team owner before the season said that it's important to see both rookie quarterbacks on the field of the season to get an evaluation of them.
- 5:34[SPEAKER_03]: So that means if Kevin wasn't planning on playing or giving him any sort of major opportunities this year, that goes against what Jimmy Haslam said before the season, but it also plays into when Kevin named Dylan Gabriel the Starter,
- 5:49[SPEAKER_03]: and then said and Joe or should our standards will not be the QB2 he will remain as the emergency quarterback.
- 5:56[SPEAKER_03]: Three, Joe Flacco will revert down to QB2.
- 6:00[SPEAKER_03]: It goes to the idea and the speculation on my part, my strong belief that Andrew Barry said, oh really, you want Joe Flacco to be the QB2?
- 6:11[SPEAKER_03]: How about I just trade them away?
- 6:13[SPEAKER_03]: How about we just remove Joe from the equation and then we don't
- 6:17[SPEAKER_03]: And I think that is exactly what happened.
- 6:18[SPEAKER_03]: Everybody will say, oh, well, I mean, come on.
- 6:20[SPEAKER_03]: He got a draft pick for Joe Flacco.
- 6:23[SPEAKER_03]: Yes, and no, he traded a draft pick with Joe Flacco to get a draft pick.
- 6:26[SPEAKER_03]: He moved up.
- 6:28[SPEAKER_03]: I don't even know if it was a full round in the draft, but he moved from what the six round to the fifth round by trading Joe Flack.
- 6:34[SPEAKER_03]: Okay, what do you do, nice?
- 6:35[SPEAKER_03]: I mean, whatever, it's a fifth round pick.
- 6:36[SPEAKER_03]: I'm not super, that's not the point.
- 6:39[SPEAKER_03]: I think the bigger beneficiary of Joe Flack will be in trade or what should our Sanders getting moved up to QB2 from the front office perspective.
- 6:49[SPEAKER_03]: So it all goes back to Shidorah Sanders.
- 6:52[SPEAKER_03]: It was not Kevin Stephansky's pick.
- 6:54[SPEAKER_03]: It was Andrew Barry's pick.
- 6:55[SPEAKER_03]: We've heard those reports and it would make sense that from a general manager perspective from the front office, you're watching the games.
- 7:02[SPEAKER_03]: They're watching the games like we are.
- 7:04[SPEAKER_03]: And all you see when Dylan Gabriel plays football.
- 7:08[SPEAKER_03]: it's clear he's not an NFL quarterback.
- 7:10[SPEAKER_03]: It's clear he's he's not good.
- 7:12[SPEAKER_03]: He's not gun it like no no you guys told us for six months or however long it's been now half a year that this kid is the most pro ready he can run an NFL offense he understands everything blah blah blah blah super computer my ass he sucks okay
- 7:30[SPEAKER_03]: So it's time to see what the other draft pick has.
- 7:33[SPEAKER_03]: And you know, I'm the front office like I made the draft pick.
- 7:36[SPEAKER_03]: I use draft capital to get this guy.
- 7:38[SPEAKER_03]: Let's see what he can do.
- 7:39[SPEAKER_03]: I don't care about your plans for red shirting.
- 7:41[SPEAKER_03]: Let's see what he can do.
- 7:43[SPEAKER_03]: So it's interesting.
- 7:43[SPEAKER_03]: This could indicate a bit of a power struggle within the Browns organization between the front office and the coaching staff.
- 7:51[SPEAKER_03]: And just does not feel like the alignment that they preach that they have all the time.
- 7:57[SPEAKER_03]: It is really in place.
- 7:58[SPEAKER_03]: anymore.
- 7:59[SPEAKER_03]: So we will get to see Shador Sanders for the first time getting first team reps all week in practice and a game plan according to what Kevin's defense he said way back when that should do our Sanders whenever he does get an or if he gets an opportunity to start whatever
- 8:15[SPEAKER_03]: will have a full week of a game plan tailored for him.
- 8:19[SPEAKER_03]: So let's see what this offensive genius offensive guru and Tommy Reese and all these, you know, really smart offensive minds can game plan for Shidorah Sanders this week.
- 8:30[SPEAKER_03]: I anticipate nothing changing.
- 8:31[SPEAKER_03]: I think the offense is going to look so stupid again.
- 8:34[SPEAKER_03]: There's not going to be any special.
- 8:37[SPEAKER_03]: You know, pass protection, you know, situations with the line or bringing anybody into help, there's not going to be any short developing pass routes or quick, easy throws for him.
- 8:47[SPEAKER_03]: Like they just don't, I'm sorry, you guys know how I feel.
- 8:51[SPEAKER_03]: This offense is bad.
- 8:52[SPEAKER_03]: It's stupid.
- 8:52[SPEAKER_03]: I mean, it's bad because the players aren't very good, but it's also bad because the offensive scheme, the play calling, the design of everything, it doesn't benefit anybody.
- 9:04[SPEAKER_03]: terrible.
- 9:05[SPEAKER_03]: It's terrible.
- 9:06[SPEAKER_03]: I know Blake likes to say that, you know, you could put any quarter back in this offense or give, you know, the offense to any coach who come in here with these players and it would all be the same.
- 9:16[SPEAKER_03]: I don't necessarily agree.
- 9:18[SPEAKER_03]: I don't think it would ever be great because of the players that are on the field and on the roster, but I do think that there are coaches out there.
- 9:26[SPEAKER_03]: who could get more out of this offense than what Kevin's getting out of them.
- 9:29[SPEAKER_03]: You guys let me know what you think in the comments.
- 9:32[SPEAKER_03]: That's my belief and I am sticking to it.
- 9:35[SPEAKER_03]: Okay, let's go to, I want to get this first voicemail.
- 9:40[SPEAKER_03]: Play, let's do Bobby, let's get Bobby's voicemail in here first.
- 9:43[SPEAKER_03]: He's got a unique perspective from being at the game against the Ravens this past Sunday.
- 9:49[SPEAKER_05]: Hey, what's going on, guys?
- 9:50[SPEAKER_05]: This is Bobby.
- 9:51[SPEAKER_05]: Pretty good.
- 9:52[SPEAKER_05]: I leave another voicemail after my crazy scream and yellin' off Sunday when she did work, came in.
- 9:58[SPEAKER_05]: I was really excited then, and I'm still excited now.
- 10:01[SPEAKER_05]: Look forward to seeing what he's gonna do, but a couple things I wanted to touch on was.
- 10:05[SPEAKER_05]: I was super fortunate with my seats front row behind the Browns bench.
- 10:10[SPEAKER_05]: You get to see a lot, you don't see on TV and it really sucked to see the offense come off the field after every drive and everyone looks pissed off, no one knows smiles, no one's happy about me.
- 10:21[SPEAKER_05]: I mean, obviously, what is going to be happy about, but I mean, just especially seeing
- 10:30[SPEAKER_05]: And one point Stephansky was in Tillman's face, extremely frustrated.
- 10:34[SPEAKER_05]: I don't know what happened, I wasn't too sure what happened, if anyone knows.
- 10:39[SPEAKER_05]: But I don't know man, it's like going on, go Browns, baby.
- 10:45[SPEAKER_03]: All right, Bobby.
- 10:47[SPEAKER_03]: Thank you so much for that insight from the game from when you were there and everything the one question I would have and if you're out there listening you want to put it in a comment somewhere.
- 10:55[SPEAKER_03]: I'll see if I can find it later at what point in the game was Kevin getting in tillman's face was that after you know should or through the interception was it after one of the drives that ended in a sack
- 11:07[SPEAKER_03]: Well, when was it?
- 11:09[SPEAKER_03]: When did you see that happen?
- 11:10[SPEAKER_03]: And then I could probably go back and maybe look at some all 22 from that specific series before they came off the field and maybe figure out what Kevin might have been pissed off about with Senator Tillman.
- 11:20[SPEAKER_03]: So let me know on that.
- 11:22[SPEAKER_03]: And then to your other point about like when Sean coming off and slamming his helmet, this is the kind of stuff we did not want to see.
- 11:29[SPEAKER_03]: this year with this team and it goes to my belief that the offense itself, the design and the way things are run and called and all that kind of stuff.
- 11:38[SPEAKER_03]: doesn't help anybody.
- 11:39[SPEAKER_03]: I have a hard time believing that Quenchon's coming off slam and it's helmet because the amount it should doer.
- 11:45[SPEAKER_03]: And he's coming off because he's frustrated that no matter what we do, this offense can't do anything.
- 11:51[SPEAKER_03]: And I'm frustrated watching it.
- 11:54[SPEAKER_03]: As a fan, it's the same thing over and over and it's been like that for years and I'm just, there's no way, no way I want anything to do with this coaching staff moving into next year.
- 12:07[SPEAKER_03]: Let's go to Josh's voice.
- 12:11[SPEAKER_03]: This is Josh from Ireland.
- 12:13[SPEAKER_00]: How's it going, Josh here?
- 12:14[SPEAKER_00]: Maso Brown, so I'm don't know what I'm going to look at too far.
- 12:18[SPEAKER_00]: Question here.
- 12:19[SPEAKER_00]: So I'm saying, if they should disson they should or muzzle against the raiders and winds, like he should be the star of the rest of the season.
- 12:27[SPEAKER_00]: My opinion.
- 12:27[SPEAKER_00]: And if so, if he won like three games, the rest of the season, do you think that would be enough to save the fans he's job or do you think?
- 12:36[SPEAKER_00]: decisions are even made that we're going to get a clean slate next year and a whole new regime.
- 12:41[SPEAKER_00]: And two, if you should or win those games, do you think that would stop them from drafting a court back next year?
- 12:48[SPEAKER_00]: Because personally, I'd rather see his invest in receivers and the whole lot if you should or show the song.
- 12:54[SPEAKER_00]: No, I'm sure they're fine.
- 12:56[SPEAKER_00]: I do hope that's the case because I know song they wasn't great.
- 13:01[SPEAKER_00]: but I saw him off in a couple of those trolls, like the guy excited, seeing more of those two cores of football than we've seen from the Gabriel in his darts.
- 13:12[SPEAKER_00]: So yeah, there were two questions basically, if you win games, we'll leave you to Sarah next year, don't forward and we'll save Safanci's job.
- 13:20[SPEAKER_03]: Thanks.
- 13:21[SPEAKER_03]: All right, great questions, Josh.
- 13:23[SPEAKER_03]: I appreciate coming all the way from Ireland.
- 13:25[SPEAKER_03]: I love how
- 13:26[SPEAKER_03]: You know, international, this podcast is because that's how international Browns fans are like Browns fans are all over the world.
- 13:35[SPEAKER_03]: And a lot of people outside of the fan base don't understand or realize just how robust, how widespread and how loyal this fan base is.
- 13:44[SPEAKER_03]: But I love you guys.
- 13:45[SPEAKER_03]: You guys are the best to get to your questions there Josh.
- 13:50[SPEAKER_03]: one I don't I would not anticipate should door quote unquote balling out in Vegas against the Raiders and has nothing to do with should do or specifically it's more the entire offense in general it's the the lack of offensive line skill it's the lack of wide receiver ability all that kind of stuff.
- 14:09[SPEAKER_03]: and they have mason or a max cross b and all that like it's I think it's going to be a rough game.
- 14:14[SPEAKER_03]: I don't think it's going to be like the browns come and just put you know belt to belt to butt cheeks on this one.
- 14:20[SPEAKER_03]: I could be wrong.
- 14:21[SPEAKER_03]: I could be wrong.
- 14:21[SPEAKER_03]: I was really wrong about last week.
- 14:23[SPEAKER_03]: I thought for sure the ravens were going to belt to butt cheek us, but they didn't.
- 14:27[SPEAKER_03]: So.
- 14:29[SPEAKER_03]: If should or for me should or bowling out or having a good game would be something like 200 yards two touchdowns, maybe no, hopefully no turnovers.
- 14:37[SPEAKER_03]: That'd be cool.
- 14:38[SPEAKER_03]: And he's going to take sacks.
- 14:39[SPEAKER_03]: It's going to happen with his habits.
- 14:42[SPEAKER_03]: And again, that's just he hasn't had no time to work those out.
- 14:44[SPEAKER_03]: He has had no reps to do so.
- 14:46[SPEAKER_03]: So with his habits and with the offensive line, it's going to happen.
- 14:49[SPEAKER_03]: Like there's going to be sacks, max trials are going to be a sacks.
- 14:51[SPEAKER_03]: It's just it is what it is.
- 14:54[SPEAKER_03]: I think if Shador plays well and the Browns win, even if he plays well and even if the Browns win.
- 15:02[SPEAKER_03]: As soon as Dylan Gabriel's clear from concussion protocol, he's the starter.
- 15:05[SPEAKER_03]: He will be back to the starting quarterback for the Browns.
- 15:09[SPEAKER_03]: I don't think anything Shador can do on Sunday will change that.
- 15:14[SPEAKER_03]: So, it kind of, it kind of, you race is the whole point of, can Shador's performance over the, you know, the end of the season here, saved to Fancy's job.
- 15:23[SPEAKER_03]: I don't think it matters, because I don't think there's gonna be that opportunity.
- 15:26[SPEAKER_03]: You said, you know, what if Shador wins like three games over these final seven?
- 15:31[SPEAKER_03]: Should doors not going to get a chance to win three games because I don't think he gets a chance to play three games.
- 15:38[SPEAKER_03]: I mean, I mean, unless Kevin is forced, I mean, the front office, Jimmy, they're going to have to pretty much tell him, you will sit, Dylan Gabriel down because remember, the only way to get should door to be the starter outside of another injury for Dylan is for Kevin to actively bench him.
- 15:55[SPEAKER_03]: I just don't see it happening.
- 15:56[SPEAKER_03]: I don't see it happening.
- 16:00[SPEAKER_03]: This episode is sponsored by Botan Sports.
- 16:02[SPEAKER_03]: Browns fans, I know Thanksgiving is the next thing on the list, but if you're in my house, we have had Christmas decorated all over the place.
- 16:09[SPEAKER_03]: Since November, first, that's right.
- 16:10[SPEAKER_03]: It is coming up very quickly, Christmas time.
- 16:13[SPEAKER_03]: And the best thing you can do is get ahead of your gift giving list and go to BotanSports.com slash dogs, DAWGS and check out everything they have to offer and use promo code dogs to get 10% off your entire order.
- 16:26[SPEAKER_03]: You could find some really nice Christmas gifts
- 16:30[SPEAKER_03]: Obviously baseball season would be right around the corner in the spring.
- 16:33[SPEAKER_03]: They've got training balls, they've got regular game baseballs, bats, baseball gloves, all sorts of basketballs and other gear pumps, ball bags, gym bags, things like that for your basketball players.
- 16:43[SPEAKER_03]: And then the gifts that I really like to give family members and people like that would be the backyard games.
- 16:49[SPEAKER_03]: Get those for Christmas gifts because then they can hold onto those and break them out when the weather gets nice and it's like that Christmas gift.
- 16:54[SPEAKER_03]: that didn't get used right away, Christmas, and they get to experience that joy again later in the year.
- 16:59[SPEAKER_03]: Bad mitten, outdoor volleyball, bachi horseshoes, kickball, they've got a knockout game set, and of course pickleball, which I know I've been saying on here, I need to learn how to play.
- 17:09[SPEAKER_03]: I haven't
- 17:09[SPEAKER_03]: But I do plan to learn at some point, and I will be getting my first pickleball set from Bodden Sports.
- 17:15[SPEAKER_03]: So head over to BoddenSports.com slash dogs and get 10% off your entire order with promo code dogs DAWGS when you check out.
- 17:23[SPEAKER_03]: That's Bodden Sports BADENSports.com slash dogs.
- 17:30[SPEAKER_03]: But your question about whether or not should doors performance at any point can
- 17:40[SPEAKER_03]: I think that has more to do with whether or not so much, if Kevin keeps his job, it has more to do with whether or not the front office keeps their jobs.
- 17:51[SPEAKER_03]: Because if we roll into 2026 with the same front office and they invested all these draft picks this year and 25 to Dylan Gabriel and Shador Sanders, I think there would be a higher chance, a higher probability
- 18:04[SPEAKER_03]: that the Browns will roll into 2026 with Shidorah Sanders as an experimental year.
- 18:10[SPEAKER_03]: Let's see.
- 18:10[SPEAKER_03]: Let's give him a year and just see what it looks like.
- 18:13[SPEAKER_03]: Let's start building the rest of this offense up.
- 18:16[SPEAKER_03]: I think that is the only way that happens.
- 18:18[SPEAKER_03]: If you get a new regime coming in here, if you get a new front office and new general manager, I think the probability is very high.
- 18:25[SPEAKER_03]: that no matter what should or does this year I think it's very high that they drew after quarterback next year with the first round pick because a new regime typically wants their guy they want to install the the quarterback that they scouted that they identify that they picked that they want.
- 18:40[SPEAKER_03]: onto the roster.
- 18:42[SPEAKER_03]: The only time you get regimes coming into teams, new front offices and things like that, and they don't mess with the core back position, it's like whenever you get a new people coming in and you've got Justin Herbert, you know, or you've got a Trevor Lawrence, a guy that they just paid.
- 18:57[SPEAKER_03]: massive contract money to last season was a former number one overall pick that kind of situation because use the browns use the browns as your own example here with this like we got a whole new regime the whole new front office coaching staff that came in and Baker may feel it was already here as the quarterback but he had not been handed any sort of major contractual obligation for them to keep him
- 19:19[SPEAKER_03]: and they didn't.
- 19:21[SPEAKER_03]: They moved on the first chance they got to try to get somebody that they thought was their guy to run the offense and to be the franchise quarterback.
- 19:30[SPEAKER_03]: Turned out it was a bad decision, very bad choice, but that is what happened.
- 19:33[SPEAKER_03]: That's what generally happens in the NFL.
- 19:37[SPEAKER_03]: I think a lot of Shador's future here really does depend more on the front office and Andrew Barry's future here if he has one than it does Kevin, but that's just kind of my take on that.
- 19:54[SPEAKER_03]: Next up we've got Zach or are we like to call him fake burns.
- 20:00[SPEAKER_01]: What's going on?
- 20:01[SPEAKER_01]: I just wanted to answer Josh's question from the last podcast because I'm not able to join the live shows on Thursdays to preview the games because I'm at work.
- 20:14[SPEAKER_01]: But yeah, if Shader has even just a slightly decent game and Gabriel gets cleared and he's
- 20:25[SPEAKER_01]: Um, I genuinely think that is coaching malpractice.
- 20:28[SPEAKER_01]: I know we've talked about it many times and we're kind of throwing that around.
- 20:31[SPEAKER_01]: But, I mean, that would just be ridiculous.
- 20:33[SPEAKER_01]: And this is coming from someone that was a huge defense case supporter.
- 20:37[SPEAKER_01]: Even a month ago, I think that would be the final foot in the grave in terms of his job and career as a head coach with the Cleveland Browns.
- 20:44[SPEAKER_01]: I don't think Gabriel should see the field for the rest of the year, even if Shudder has a slightly above average game because of the amount of prep time he's had in comparison to Gabriel.
- 20:53[SPEAKER_01]: And that's not a shot at Gabriel at all.
- 20:56[SPEAKER_01]: It's that I am just ready to see something different.
- 20:59[SPEAKER_01]: I don't think Gabriel's the answer.
- 21:00[SPEAKER_01]: With that being said, I think it would be an awful look on us fans if Gabriel does go back in the following week and we boom out the building.
- 21:07[SPEAKER_01]: Because that's not his fault.
- 21:08[SPEAKER_01]: He's a young kid wanting to play football.
- 21:10[SPEAKER_01]: The other day, he wants to win for the Browns, and I can appreciate that without boon him out of the stadium.
- 21:16[SPEAKER_01]: But it's the fancy on the other hand, and if we could show where I'm happy with him, in that sense, I think that would be better.
- 21:22[SPEAKER_01]: But go Browns.
- 21:22[SPEAKER_01]: Woo-hoo.
- 21:24[SPEAKER_03]: Uh, to be fair, uh, Mr.
- 21:26[SPEAKER_03]: Fake Burns.
- 21:27[SPEAKER_03]: Zach, I, I think a lot of the boobers that you hear in at games now, different scenario for when to Sean Watson was playing, because I think fans were generally genuinely booing him.
- 21:39[SPEAKER_03]: But I think for the most part, when you get the boobers out at any NFL game,
- 21:42[SPEAKER_03]: like I watched some games, you know, the last Sunday before the Browns played and they were booze raining down at home stadiums from home crowds and it wasn't necessarily like boo, we hear our quarterback gets boo what you're doing on offense right now as a team blows you guys suck and I think that the boo birds are generally directed.
- 22:01[SPEAKER_03]: had Kevin Stephanski in this whole like browns regime because nobody's booing why shouldn't say nobody.
- 22:08[SPEAKER_03]: I don't think I don't think many people are actually booing Dylan Gabriel.
- 22:11[SPEAKER_03]: It's more so booing Kevin Stephanski because he's putting Dylan Gabriel on the field.
- 22:16[SPEAKER_03]: I say all the time I like Dylan Gabriel.
- 22:18[SPEAKER_03]: I think he's a good guy.
- 22:19[SPEAKER_03]: I don't want to play in quarterbacks for my team.
- 22:21[SPEAKER_03]: So if I'm at the game, yeah, I'm going to boo whenever he throws a ball into the dirt because he has no arm strength, but I'm not booing Dylan.
- 22:27[SPEAKER_03]: I'm booing Kevin for putting Dylan on the field for my team.
- 22:32[SPEAKER_03]: Second tired of it.
- 22:33[SPEAKER_03]: Just like it sounds like you are.
- 22:35[SPEAKER_03]: And to kind of go to what you were saying, I already covered this, but
- 22:39[SPEAKER_03]: Even if Shador hasn't above average game against the Raiders, as soon as Dylan's healthy, he's back to the starter.
- 22:46[SPEAKER_03]: I will be shocked.
- 22:48[SPEAKER_03]: I will be shocked, and it doesn't mean it can't happen, but it will floor me.
- 22:53[SPEAKER_03]: If Dylan is healthy next week for the 49ers at home, and they need to continue to stick with Shador as the starter, that'll...
- 23:02[SPEAKER_03]: that would be crazy to me, but we'll see.
- 23:04[SPEAKER_03]: We will see what happens.
- 23:05[SPEAKER_03]: And now I got the final voice, we're going to wrap things up after this, like I said a little shorter episode today.
- 23:09[SPEAKER_03]: This one is from Justin and Joey Z. I dog podcast Justin from Jersey here again.
- 23:14[SPEAKER_04]: I just want to hop on here real quick.
- 23:17[SPEAKER_04]: Kind of in week.
- 23:19[SPEAKER_04]: I can see all these posts regarding all of these mocked grass, like our, or mocked the draft and other quarterback.
- 23:24[SPEAKER_04]: Like,
- 23:25[SPEAKER_04]: I just don't understand it like the formula is so simple, it's not even funny, I mean Chador start him the rest of the season.
- 23:33[SPEAKER_04]: All off season and training camp, Chador.
- 23:35[SPEAKER_04]: He gets all the first team reps with all the receivers and that's it.
- 23:40[SPEAKER_04]: You start him next season.
- 23:41[SPEAKER_04]: We don't need to draft for quarterback.
- 23:43[SPEAKER_04]: What we need to do, draft two bad-ath wide receivers in the first round next year with our two first round picks.
- 23:51[SPEAKER_04]: There you go.
- 23:51[SPEAKER_04]: You got two first round draft pick, wider severs, the door Sanders and Quenchon Juttkins problem solved.
- 23:59[SPEAKER_04]: Anyway, let's see what happens.
- 24:01[SPEAKER_04]: They'll probably screw this up.
- 24:02[SPEAKER_04]: Ooh, ooh.
- 24:04[SPEAKER_03]: Now that right there, Justin is spoken like a true Browns fan.
- 24:08[SPEAKER_03]: They're probably gonna screw this up.
- 24:09[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, I think that is the mindset of every Browns fan who's been with this team for any length of time.
- 24:16[SPEAKER_03]: Honestly, we've seen him do it over and over and over
- 24:21[SPEAKER_03]: I agree with you, the formula is simple, and that's just a quick aside here.
- 24:25[SPEAKER_03]: That's part of the reason why we started this podcast back in 2020 when we did, because we would be texting each other, me, Blake, and everything, and I'd be talking to other Browns fans, like, I don't feel like it's this hard.
- 24:38[SPEAKER_03]: I don't feel like it should be this hard to be competitive, or just be good in the NFL.
- 24:43[SPEAKER_03]: Because we could watch games and say, well, this is what they should call with, this is probably what they're going to call.
- 24:47[SPEAKER_03]: And then they would call what we say.
- 24:51[SPEAKER_03]: and we felt like man it is really this hard and then you look at the draft a lot of times and it's like well if I was here I would just take this guy and then they would take some other dude what work out in the guy that I thought or we thought they should take or could take ends up being a stud wherever he goes and it's like why is it so hard if we if we can figure this out
- 25:10[SPEAKER_03]: and say what the team should do to be successful.
- 25:12[SPEAKER_03]: Why can't they?
- 25:14[SPEAKER_03]: So I am with you that the recipe should be simple for this.
- 25:17[SPEAKER_03]: And I said it on the show before, roll into 2026 with Shidorah Sanders.
- 25:21[SPEAKER_03]: As your starter, use those first round picks on a receiver.
- 25:26[SPEAKER_03]: And I'm with you a little bit on the two receivers, kind of double tap the position, all that kind of stuff.
- 25:31[SPEAKER_03]: But we really do need an offensive tackle.
- 25:34[SPEAKER_03]: And I think,
- 25:34[SPEAKER_03]: And again, I haven't done any draft prep yet.
- 25:36[SPEAKER_03]: Obviously, the college football season is still going on.
- 25:38[SPEAKER_03]: Once we get into that part of the year, the draft season, I'll really dive into and focus on these positions at the Browns desperately need.
- 25:46[SPEAKER_03]: And we will see who's projected to be available where when we got draft ordering, kind of finalizing all that stuff.
- 25:54[SPEAKER_03]: I think we need offensive tackle in a dire way, I think we definitely need wide receivers.
- 25:59[SPEAKER_03]: And the thing to remember is we do have two first round picks and we will have a very early second round pick as well.
- 26:06[SPEAKER_03]: So we will have three picks, probably in the top 35, 36, 37 picks.
- 26:13[SPEAKER_03]: That's pretty good.
- 26:14[SPEAKER_03]: That's pretty good.
- 26:15[SPEAKER_03]: You got to hit on all three of them.
- 26:17[SPEAKER_03]: Got to hit on all three of them.
- 26:19[SPEAKER_03]: So,
- 26:21[SPEAKER_03]: For me, wide receiver seems so important to take in the first round because once you get out of the first round in that top level of talent each year, you're really taking dart throws.
- 26:30[SPEAKER_03]: You really are, I mean, you can wind up with an AJ Brown in the second round.
- 26:34[SPEAKER_03]: a DK Metcalf.
- 26:35[SPEAKER_03]: You could wind up with almond raw, same brown and the third or puke nuku and the fifth, but man, you got to be pretty good at identifying evaluating talent, which I have zero faith that this Brown's organization can do with the wider silver position.
- 26:50[SPEAKER_03]: I think unless they draft a very obviously talented, good wide receiver, that's on the board.
- 26:56[SPEAKER_03]: Early, I don't have faith that they're going to get that position figured out.
- 27:03[SPEAKER_03]: So we will see that is the direction right now as of, you know, whatever November 19th, 2025, that's the direction I'm leaning.
- 27:10[SPEAKER_03]: Just roll with shit door next year.
- 27:12[SPEAKER_03]: You got a guy who was touted as first round talent anyway.
- 27:15[SPEAKER_03]: Got him in the fifth round, okay.
- 27:16[SPEAKER_03]: So you are gonna pretty much register to this year because he's not gonna get enough opportunity to show you what you wanna see.
- 27:24[SPEAKER_03]: go with them next year and go with them not give them an offseason like you said Justin give him all the reps in training camp all the reps in priest you know everything just let him just give him the keys just give him the keys for a year and see what happens see what happens because
- 27:41[SPEAKER_03]: I still think that there's a chance that the browns, you know, I don't think we, I don't think we'll lose to the Titans at home, not with the way our defense plays at home.
- 27:53[SPEAKER_03]: And, you know, that would give us what?
- 27:56[SPEAKER_03]: Three wins.
- 27:57[SPEAKER_03]: I don't know if we win in Vegas this week, we'll see.
- 28:00[SPEAKER_03]: I think that we're, I don't think we're going to have the first pick.
- 28:04[SPEAKER_03]: I think that if we want to get into a spot early in the draft where we get our pick at quarterback, like there's one quarterback for the Browns really want and they got to trade up to get them, and it's going to be really tough because I think you're going to be trying to get ahead of teams that are already ahead of you.
- 28:20[SPEAKER_03]: like the saints, possibly like the jets.
- 28:24[SPEAKER_03]: And, you know, like the Titans will be up there and they'll probably trade that pick to the highest bidder for somebody to come up and get Fernando Mendoza, to come up and get Tyson's in her Dante more.
- 28:35[SPEAKER_03]: And quite honestly, I haven't, like I said, haven't done the draft prep, so I don't know if any of those three guys or somebody, I would want any way over Shador for next year.
- 28:43[SPEAKER_03]: So we'll see how it goes.
- 28:44[SPEAKER_03]: obviously, but I don't disagree.
- 28:46[SPEAKER_03]: I think you're spot on right now with that thinking of we got a guy we can see what he has next year, but we really need to get these other positions in place.
- 28:57[SPEAKER_03]: And if you've got three picks in the top 35 or 36 picks, and you can use two of them on wider severs and one of them on an offensive tackle.
- 29:05[SPEAKER_03]: And then you've got an early third round pick that you can use maybe on another tackle or something.
- 29:10[SPEAKER_03]: God!
- 29:10[SPEAKER_03]: Don't not draft defense prounds.
- 29:13[SPEAKER_03]: I'm oh you guys draft defense in the first three rounds in April I'm going to flip my lid man.
- 29:19[SPEAKER_03]: It's gonna be bad offense offense offense.
- 29:22[SPEAKER_03]: I can't watch any more of what you guys are putting out on the field This is a joke.
- 29:27[SPEAKER_03]: So thank you.
