- 0:01Speaker 1: What do you got there? What is it? Is that? Nuts? Nothing? Whatever?
- 0:05Speaker 2: A fan of the Hurdarky Big Shot podcast, make sure
- 0:11Speaker 2: you check out more from Jay, Smike and Kezy on
- 0:13Speaker 2: our Instagram at Hodracky Big Show boutching into them four
- 0:16Speaker 2: to seven every weekday on Radio Hraky.
- 0:21Speaker 1: Thanks mate, Yeah, thanks mate, much appreciated.
- 0:26Speaker 3: Brother, great stuff. How are we fellows? Feel good?
- 0:29Speaker 1: Good? Man?
- 0:30Speaker 3: Good? Good in the hood?
- 0:32Speaker 4: Yeah, I'm pretty good in the hood. I'm a bit tired,
- 0:34Speaker 4: a little bit tired, don't under the weather.
- 0:37Speaker 5: Volnisn went for a run, first run of me getting
- 0:41Speaker 5: back into running.
- 0:41Speaker 1: Here he goes, z, how fair did you go? Man?
- 0:44Speaker 1: Three K? How long did it take you? I don't know.
- 0:46Speaker 1: I'm not looking. I don't care at the stage. It's
- 0:49Speaker 1: not about that.
- 0:49Speaker 5: I recorded it and saved it. And then once I've
- 0:52Speaker 5: done it for about two weeks because genuinely, and you're
- 0:54Speaker 5: not that laugh at this, when I go for runs
- 0:57Speaker 5: the first week or two, I get asthma and I can't.
- 1:00Speaker 1: I have to power through that stage.
- 1:02Speaker 5: So I get home and like twenty minutes after, I'm
- 1:04Speaker 5: just like, yeah.
- 1:07Speaker 6: I remember, and I might have mentioned I might have
- 1:11Speaker 6: mentioned it before we had a sports master at school
- 1:16Speaker 6: and we.
- 1:18Speaker 3: No, one of one of my mates used.
- 1:20Speaker 6: To have really bad asthma, right, and this sports master
- 1:25Speaker 6: was just full on. He was like and he used
- 1:29Speaker 6: to just hoe into him and go, you haven't got asthma,
- 1:33Speaker 6: You're totally fine. Stop your performing, get up and get
- 1:37Speaker 6: on with it. And in the end, actually this kid
- 1:42Speaker 6: stopped doing it. And he did have an inhalo and
- 1:45Speaker 6: he did have asthma, but because the sports master kept
- 1:49Speaker 6: haranguing him about it, say no, you're fine, you're okay,
- 1:52Speaker 6: just get on with it. In the end, eventually he
- 1:55Speaker 6: did and he stopped having sort of asthma attacks.
- 1:57Speaker 5: So hang on, you outgrow aesthma quite often, yes, you do.
- 2:01Speaker 5: So I outgrew asthma. But when winter comes around or
- 2:05Speaker 5: if you get a cold and stuff, it can return slightly.
- 2:08Speaker 1: Yes, but when you're a kid, like there was.
- 2:10Speaker 5: A story about a kid who had asthma, was sent
- 2:14Speaker 5: to go to the henhouse to collect up all the
- 2:16Speaker 5: eggs and stuff, had an asthma attack from all the
- 2:18Speaker 5: hay and then die. Yeah, it was like eight was
- 2:22Speaker 5: because we had undiagnosed asthma. Because people like that were like, oh,
- 2:25Speaker 5: you don't have asked me.
- 2:26Speaker 6: A fine, yeah, you know, look, I didn't approve of it,
- 2:29Speaker 6: but it worked, oh for that particular kid.
- 2:33Speaker 1: Yeah, right, so being a bastard.
- 2:35Speaker 6: Yeah, And I had another mate who was really really overweight,
- 2:40Speaker 6: and the sports this particular sports master used to give
- 2:43Speaker 6: him such shit all the time, and when he left
- 2:46Speaker 6: school he sent them a big package of shit.
- 2:49Speaker 4: That's great, good, great, Because when we were young, there
- 2:54Speaker 4: wasn't much esthma around asthma.
- 2:57Speaker 1: But there must have been. Why we like or is it?
- 3:01Speaker 1: Come on? Is it more common now?
- 3:03Speaker 4: It's a lot more common now. It's actually watching a
- 3:05Speaker 4: video Jase with your mate Bobby Kennedy, and he was
- 3:09Speaker 4: saying that when he grew up, his brother had asthma.
- 3:13Speaker 4: H had dead asthma. He had that asthma. But when
- 3:16Speaker 4: he went to the doctor he was only a kid.
- 3:17Speaker 4: The doctor said, you're just going to You're just always
- 3:19Speaker 4: going to have it because there's not enough people in
- 3:22Speaker 4: the world that have got it to make it worth
- 3:25Speaker 4: while the pharmaceutical company is putting any money into researching
- 3:28Speaker 4: it and coming up with care for it, essentially, But now.
- 3:33Speaker 1: The esimirates are soaring.
- 3:34Speaker 4: I've just had a look at it here and they
- 3:35Speaker 4: think it's either the world is too clean because we're
- 3:37Speaker 4: constantly fucking obsessed with cleaning things. Yes, and as a result,
- 3:43Speaker 4: and I agree with it, I think it's far too
- 3:44Speaker 4: much cleaning goes on. And the other thing is your diet.
- 3:48Speaker 4: So what happens is you clean so much, you're always
- 3:51Speaker 4: clean stuff, which means you're just making the bacteria stronger
- 3:53Speaker 4: because you're not wiping anything out, but you're just building
- 3:56Speaker 4: the resistance of the bacteria that you're trying to get
- 3:58Speaker 4: off your hands or whatever that's come back stronger, and
- 4:01Speaker 4: then thank you. And then the other thing is that
- 4:04Speaker 4: the diet, which is because we get so much processed
- 4:07Speaker 4: food now, so anything that comes in a packet, which
- 4:09Speaker 4: is everything, and the consumption, so anything that is not
- 4:12Speaker 4: a whole food, not a vegetable, not an animal, not
- 4:16Speaker 4: something that hasn't gone through some kind of process between
- 4:20Speaker 4: where it's growing and then get into the consumer. So
- 4:22Speaker 4: that's like biscuits and crackers, you fucking name it all.
- 4:26Speaker 4: Process all got all this shit put into it, which
- 4:29Speaker 4: is why there's so much obesity now, which is why
- 4:32Speaker 4: there's no heart disease. All that sort of stuff, right,
- 4:35Speaker 4: it's directly related to diet, right, but people can't afford
- 4:39Speaker 4: to eat properly and they don't have time to eat properly.
- 4:41Speaker 5: More than the point, Hang on, how come I have
- 4:44Speaker 5: asthma and my brother doesn't? We ate the same shit?
- 4:46Speaker 4: Well, it varies. Like my brother had asthma and exma,
- 4:50Speaker 4: and I didn't lose it. I know, I know, And
- 4:53Speaker 4: I mean we got rid of him. It was a
- 4:55Speaker 4: punk ah, So there you go. But that's just the
- 4:59Speaker 4: way it is, right every bodies. I don't know if
- 5:00Speaker 4: you've heard this, because everybody's different me. It doesn't mean
- 5:03Speaker 4: that you're better or worse than anybody.
- 5:06Speaker 1: I mean, I feel a bitter.
- 5:07Speaker 3: Did you just bouch?
- 5:09Speaker 1: No? No, you just planted his honger on the end
- 5:11Speaker 1: of that microphone.
- 5:12Speaker 4: That was my beautiful mustache, right, Yeah, yeah, good, that's
- 5:16Speaker 4: interesting stuff. I'm trying to move away from the older
- 5:20Speaker 4: or the process foods at the moment.
- 5:23Speaker 3: I stop.
- 5:25Speaker 6: Hypomogi Jesus, I'm not actually going to have a red
- 5:32Speaker 6: ball just to keep up, just to keep up.
- 5:35Speaker 1: It's good stuff.
- 5:36Speaker 3: Yeah, what else?
- 5:37Speaker 4: You're tired man? Because you had to run? No, literally,
- 5:40Speaker 4: just that, because I had to run before coming here. Yeah,
- 5:43Speaker 4: and I just it's like the first run you have
- 5:44Speaker 4: and then it takes twenty minutes to get your lungs back,
- 5:48Speaker 4: and then and then then you've been running your yap
- 5:50Speaker 4: today as well, not as much as you.
- 5:54Speaker 3: I had.
- 5:55Speaker 6: I had no sleep on Friday and about four hours
- 5:58Speaker 6: on Saturday and normal one last night.
- 6:01Speaker 1: Four hours is pretty good. I know it's.
- 6:06Speaker 3: Plastic. Ca oh, not good.
- 6:10Speaker 2: The Whole Big Show weekdays from four on Radio Hurarchy,
- 6:15Speaker 2: The Big Show Podcast.
- 6:17Speaker 1: How's your weekend, Jason?
- 6:19Speaker 3: I've had better things?
- 6:19Speaker 1: Geezy? Yeah?
- 6:20Speaker 3: Yeah?
- 6:21Speaker 1: How you know? How's your daughter feeling after the surgery?
- 6:23Speaker 3: And that still in a lot of paint? She didn't
- 6:26Speaker 3: have surgery.
- 6:27Speaker 1: I thought she had surgery two weeks ago.
- 6:29Speaker 3: Yeah, but she didn't have it over the weekend.
- 6:31Speaker 1: Which is recovery taking a while to cover, isn't it. Yeah?
- 6:35Speaker 3: I know, yeah it is. It's quite common though, apparently
- 6:38Speaker 3: that you're bleeding, but that you're.
- 6:40Speaker 1: Go that's all right?
- 6:42Speaker 6: What else, man, I've got nothing else to offer read
- 6:45Speaker 6: the weekend? But I mean any other topic?
- 6:48Speaker 1: Yeah? What else? Did I? Well?
- 6:50Speaker 4: Yeah, I'm back at the gym. I am still weak.
- 6:52Speaker 4: It's pist though. Week two, but god almighty, I was
- 6:57Speaker 4: on a little I was only for an improvement in
- 6:58Speaker 4: week two, but not I.
- 7:00Speaker 6: Was on a good little run back of the gym,
- 7:02Speaker 6: and it got fucked over and over the weekend.
- 7:05Speaker 3: And I could have gone six days.
- 7:06Speaker 6: In a row, but now I had to cut it
- 7:09Speaker 6: short at two in a row.
- 7:10Speaker 4: When you need rist days anyway rists to see those
- 7:13Speaker 4: results come through.
- 7:14Speaker 1: Brother, I don't.
- 7:15Speaker 3: I don't go hard enough to need a rest, you
- 7:19Speaker 3: know what I'm saying.
- 7:20Speaker 1: Oh yeah, what else, goys, come on, we're better than this.
- 7:25Speaker 3: Well yeah, I think we're all. Well, we've gone, We've
- 7:28Speaker 3: got two fatigued.
- 7:30Speaker 1: I'm serving things up and I'm just getting nothing back. Keys.
- 7:32Speaker 4: He's on his phone over there. Old hoody J doesn't
- 7:37Speaker 4: want to talk about his weekend. Asked me some questions
- 7:39Speaker 4: about my cool weekend.
- 7:40Speaker 5: Well, I don't want to find out that I can't run,
- 7:43Speaker 5: probably because of eating too much processed food.
- 7:45Speaker 1: Is anything from my life?
- 7:48Speaker 3: It's good. I just on that.
- 7:52Speaker 6: Actually, I genuinely wish that I was a runner, right
- 7:55Speaker 6: because I really like, you've got to run. Well, not really,
- 8:00Speaker 6: I'm top heavy and I've got really skinny leader.
- 8:03Speaker 1: I mean, but I've often you know, I've often sort
- 8:10Speaker 1: of thought.
- 8:10Speaker 6: It would be really nice if you because I know
- 8:13Speaker 6: people like this that get out, wake up in the morning,
- 8:15Speaker 6: get this ship on and go for a run. And
- 8:17Speaker 6: I think that would be a really good way to
- 8:19Speaker 6: clear the head blow. Ship out, get a bit of
- 8:21Speaker 6: a sweat on, come home, and then shower and right
- 8:24Speaker 6: I'm ready.
- 8:24Speaker 4: To The Other thing I love about it is you
- 8:26Speaker 4: can be anywhere and do it. So if you go
- 8:27Speaker 4: away like we go away places, you can just go
- 8:29Speaker 4: for a run around the joint and heav geese. But
- 8:31Speaker 4: after a bug and lower back three crushed vertebrae, so
- 8:34Speaker 4: I can't run keys.
- 8:35Speaker 3: And I've got very fragile ankles.
- 8:38Speaker 1: That's a shame.
- 8:39Speaker 4: I've always hated long distance running the same with a passion.
- 8:43Speaker 5: I've never got to this thing they call the runners.
- 8:45Speaker 5: That's runners thing where you train enough so that you're
- 8:48Speaker 5: actually just enjoying running.
- 8:50Speaker 1: And this is the you don't need to go.
- 8:58Speaker 6: I do know people, though, Keezy, that do love to run,
- 9:01Speaker 6: like they feel really good about it.
- 9:02Speaker 3: But I know what you're saying.
- 9:04Speaker 6: If I was running, I'd be resenting it the entire way,
- 9:08Speaker 6: hating it.
- 9:08Speaker 5: Yeah, so I'll be like, all right, I'm going to
- 9:10Speaker 5: use this as a way to think of ideas, and
- 9:11Speaker 5: blah blah blah. The whole time my brain's trying to
- 9:14Speaker 5: think of ideas, but the main part of my brain
- 9:16Speaker 5: is just going, this fucking sucks.
- 9:17Speaker 1: What are you doing?
- 9:18Speaker 2: Yeah?
- 9:18Speaker 1: How far till we're home?
- 9:20Speaker 5: Oh my god, running this file, and I like, my
- 9:21Speaker 5: brain has always like I reckon like an eighth of
- 9:23Speaker 5: the way around.
- 9:24Speaker 3: I reckon, like, yeah, this is, this is, this is.
- 9:28Speaker 6: This was the challenge I had with the gym, right,
- 9:30Speaker 6: because I don't like the gym. I don't like it
- 9:32Speaker 6: just for the perfoct. I'm just there to get it done.
- 9:35Speaker 6: Get what done, you know, to get to get the
- 9:38Speaker 6: gym done right right. And once I'm there, I have
- 9:41Speaker 6: a really good ability now to kind of turn off
- 9:43Speaker 6: my brain, because you know, I start off on the
- 9:46Speaker 6: treadmill and stuff, and within a minute, I'm like, I
- 9:49Speaker 6: fucking hate this so much. But then I got my
- 9:52Speaker 6: skull candies on ten, the music up, and I just
- 9:54Speaker 6: try and clear my brain and that works for me,
- 9:56Speaker 6: and then I go right.
- 9:57Speaker 3: Next thing, next thing, next thing, next thing, next thing,
- 10:00Speaker 3: next thing.
- 10:01Speaker 6: Done, boom out, I've done it.
- 10:05Speaker 4: When I first started at the Jim Kezy. You know
- 10:07Speaker 4: how on the running machine they had the little light.
- 10:10Speaker 4: I don't know if they still have them, but you've
- 10:11Speaker 4: got like a circuit. You can see a circuit, you
- 10:13Speaker 4: can see the light. They flash around, and I was like, mean.
- 10:18Speaker 1: I've done a k.
- 10:20Speaker 4: I was like, I've done a few of those now,
- 10:21Speaker 4: And then I found out much later it was either
- 10:23Speaker 4: two hundred or.
- 10:26Speaker 1: I have gone very far ahead. All no good?
- 10:29Speaker 5: And then question around running on the treadmill whilst being
- 10:32Speaker 5: a dirry smoker.
- 10:34Speaker 3: Yeah, when I've got smoker's lungs as well.
- 10:36Speaker 1: So does that mean I wasn't. It's a lot harder,
- 10:39Speaker 1: it's not easier. I remember.
- 10:43Speaker 4: It was interesting in watching the rowing on the weekend
- 10:46Speaker 4: of the Matrix live at the Matrix. Out of the
- 10:48Speaker 4: Neo has arrived, Yeah, and Emma Twig came second, got
- 10:55Speaker 4: the silver. She did pretty good and a time of
- 10:58Speaker 4: I think it was two.
- 10:59Speaker 3: K yeah, two thousand meters.
- 11:01Speaker 4: Yeah that's right, so about three k's and she did
- 11:06Speaker 4: it in a three minute forty split. And I had
- 11:09Speaker 4: a mate that was I used to go to the
- 11:11Speaker 4: gym with back in the day a while ago now,
- 11:13Speaker 4: and he's like, I've never been fitter than when I
- 11:16Speaker 4: was doing ten k's and forty minutes. So he was
- 11:20Speaker 4: doing a four minute split, a four minute split on
- 11:24Speaker 4: a rowing machine. Yeah, yeah, yeah, And then I was like, oh,
- 11:27Speaker 4: I might have a crack at that. So I got
- 11:28Speaker 4: to six k's of doing four, so I do twenty
- 11:31Speaker 4: four minutes and I was like, I'm not doing any
- 11:33Speaker 4: more than that, But I thought those Olympic rids will
- 11:35Speaker 4: be infinitely faster, obviously they're dealing with out side of those.
- 11:41Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 11:42Speaker 6: Well that was and I told you guys about it
- 11:44Speaker 6: because I was getting quite good on the treadmill, running
- 11:47Speaker 6: going great off and I thought to myself, oh well,
- 11:50Speaker 6: I might as well just go for a run around
- 11:52Speaker 6: the block, you know, and see how that goes. I
- 11:54Speaker 6: was fucking terrible. Like three minutes into it, I was
- 11:58Speaker 6: in pain. Yeah, it was a completely different experience because
- 12:01Speaker 6: it wasn't soft and bounce, you know.
- 12:03Speaker 4: What I mean.
- 12:04Speaker 3: It was hard concrete, and I was like, this is
- 12:06Speaker 3: fucking terrible. I hate it.
- 12:08Speaker 1: It is terrible.
- 12:08Speaker 5: You're gonna have really good running shoes too to run
- 12:10Speaker 5: out of the road, and you can't run down or
- 12:12Speaker 5: uphills too much because it fucks, which is one of
- 12:15Speaker 5: my mates who runs all the time.
- 12:16Speaker 4: Oh, my knees are so sore at the moment. It's
- 12:19Speaker 4: just not worth it to have sore knees or.
- 12:23Speaker 5: Running super bad for you, Like you're not supposed to
- 12:26Speaker 5: run that far anyway, it is actually tell myself.
- 12:30Speaker 4: Yes, I don't have to bother, just sit inside, needs
- 12:33Speaker 4: some process cheese balls.
- 12:34Speaker 3: You're better off you seriously, you're better off just walking.
- 12:38Speaker 1: Yeah, you know what I mean. Seriously, that's why I
- 12:40Speaker 1: limit my runs to five k max.
- 12:42Speaker 3: Yeah, you don't need to run for them there. I
- 12:44Speaker 3: couldn't do five k.
- 12:45Speaker 6: I'll tell you right on the on the rowing machine,
- 12:50Speaker 6: I hated that man, because it really does sort of
- 12:53Speaker 6: use all your your muscles and your legs.
- 12:56Speaker 1: But like, yeah, I got because it's it's no impact.
- 13:01Speaker 3: Yes it is. I might actually add that back to
- 13:03Speaker 3: my routine.
- 13:03Speaker 1: You should form.
- 13:07Speaker 3: Yeah, but that's the other good thing.
- 13:09Speaker 1: Probably thirty when I was doing that.
- 13:11Speaker 6: Just because you can read the screen, you can actually
- 13:14Speaker 6: push yourself.
- 13:14Speaker 3: Yeah, and I'll go hard for a minute. See what
- 13:17Speaker 3: I got. You know what?
- 13:19Speaker 1: Fuck it kills you? You're all arms there? Or are
- 13:21Speaker 1: you going to use your low your mate, your base.
- 13:23Speaker 4: Trusting trust I'm interested to see how Today Show goes.
- 13:30Speaker 1: I don't think you guys need me for Today Show?
- 13:31Speaker 1: Can you be sweet?
- 13:33Speaker 3: Nah? I'm going to tap out about four thirty cork
- 13:36Speaker 3: to five.
- 13:38Speaker 1: Hey, thanks for listening. Listen to Every Weekday four to seven.
- 13:43Speaker 1: It's the Big Shirt. It's so good.
