- Lucas: Velkommen tilbake til Learn Norwegian with Fexingo! Episode 43. I'm Lucas. Luna: And I'm Luna! Ready to learn something new today. Lucas: We've learned numbers, weather, and even how to order coffee. But do you know how to ask what time it is? Luna: Oh, that's so useful! I need that all the time. Lucas: Exactly. So today we're learning to tell time in Norwegian. First, the question: Hva er klokka? Luna: Hva er klokka? That means 'What time is it?' right? Lucas: Perfect! Hva er klokka? Let's say it together. Hva er klokka. Luna: Hva er klokka. Lucas: Great! Now let's answer. For one o'clock: Klokka er ett. Luna: Klokka er ett. So 'ett' is one? Lucas: Yes. Note that it's 'ett' not 'en' when telling time. Klokka er ett. Luna: Klokka er ett. Got it. Lucas: Two o'clock: Klokka er to. Luna: Klokka er to. That's easy, like the number. Lucas: Right. And three o'clock: Klokka er tre. Luna: Klokka er tre. So we just use the numbers. Lucas: Exactly. Let's practice a little scene. Imagine you're at a café and you look at your phone. You ask me: Hva er klokka? Luna: Hva er klokka? Lucas: Klokka er to. Luna: Ah, so it's two o'clock. Okay: Hva er klokka? Lucas: Klokka er tre. Luna: Klokka er tre. Lucas, I think I'm getting it! Lucas: You are! Now, let's do a quick recall. Remember our earlier episodes? You know numbers 1-10, right? Luna: Of course! En, to, tre, fire, fem... Lucas: Perfect. So for telling time, we just use those numbers after 'Klokka er'. Let's try four o'clock. Luna: Klokka er fire. Lucas: Excellent! And five o'clock? Luna: Klokka er fem. Lucas: You're a natural! So today's phrases: Hva er klokka? Klokka er ett. Klokka er to. Klokka er tre. Luna: Hva er klokka? Klokka er ett. Klokka er to. Klokka er tre. Lucas: Beautiful. Let's do one more practice round. I'll ask, you answer. Hva er klokka? Luna: Klokka er ett? Lucas: If it's one, yes. But I said nothing – let's pretend it's two. So: Klokka er to. Luna: Klokka er to. Okay. Lucas: Now you ask me. Luna: Hva er klokka? Lucas: Klokka er tre. That was great, Luna. Luna: Thanks! I feel like I can actually tell time now. Lucas: That's the goal. Practice these phrases throughout the day. Look at your clock and say 'Klokka er...' with the hour. Luna: Good tip! I'll do that. Lucas: And remember, you can always revisit this episode on the Fexingo app or website. We have more episodes to help you learn Norwegian step by step. Luna: Yes! Keep practicing, and we'll see you next time on Learn Norwegian with Fexingo. Lucas: Ha det bra, alle sammen! Luna: Ha det bra!
