- 0:03SPEAKER_00: Hello, Christians.
- 0:05SPEAKER_00: This is Dallas Beacham.
- 0:07SPEAKER_00: Stand by for good news.
- 0:10SPEAKER_00: There is a pattern in history, a strategy, a method the enemy uses again and again.
- 0:18SPEAKER_00: It is simple, it is subtle, and it is dangerous.
- 0:22SPEAKER_00: The enemy does not always destroy truth.
- 0:26SPEAKER_00: Sometimes he just questions it.
- 0:28SPEAKER_00: In the Garden of Eden, the serpent did not burn the word of God.
- 0:33SPEAKER_00: He did not forbid it.
- 0:35SPEAKER_00: He did not silence it.
- 0:37SPEAKER_00: He simply asked one question.
- 0:39SPEAKER_00: Hath God said?
- 0:41SPEAKER_00: A small question, a quiet question, but a deadly question.
- 0:46SPEAKER_00: Because once truth is doubted, truth can be replaced.
- 0:51SPEAKER_00: Today we see the same pattern not only in the church, but in our nation.
- 0:59SPEAKER_00: The Bible is questioned.
- 1:01SPEAKER_00: The Constitution is questioned.
- 1:03SPEAKER_00: Both foundations are treated as old, as outdated and optional.
- 1:10SPEAKER_00: The Bible is reinterpreted and the Constitution is reinterpreted.
- 1:16SPEAKER_00: Words are twisted, meanings are stretched, truth is softened, and authority is weakened.
- 1:23SPEAKER_00: The enemy does not need to destroy the Bible.
- 1:26SPEAKER_00: He only needs people to doubt it.
- 1:28SPEAKER_00: He only needs people to ignore it.
- 1:30SPEAKER_00: He only needs people to replace it with human wisdom.
- 1:34SPEAKER_00: And the same is true with our Constitution.
- 1:38SPEAKER_00: If people doubt it, they will ignore it.
- 1:41SPEAKER_00: If they ignore it, they will replace it.
- 1:44SPEAKER_00: And if they replace it, freedom will fall.
- 1:48SPEAKER_00: The Bible protects spiritual freedom and the Constitution protects civil freedom.
- 1:53SPEAKER_00: Both stand on truth.
- 1:56SPEAKER_00: Both stand on God given rights.
- 2:01SPEAKER_00: Both stand against tyranny.
- 2:04SPEAKER_00: The Bible says if the foundations be destroyed, what can the righteous do?
- 2:10SPEAKER_00: When the foundation is weakened, everything built upon it begins to crumble.
- 2:16SPEAKER_00: Today some voices say the Bible must change to fit the culture.
- 2:21SPEAKER_00: Others say the Constitution must change to fit the moment.
- 2:27SPEAKER_00: But truth does not change, and freedom does not survive when truth is rewritten.
- 2:34SPEAKER_00: The Bible is the Word of God.
- 2:37SPEAKER_00: The Constitution was built on the belief that rights come from God.
- 2:42SPEAKER_00: Both point upward, both honor the Lord, both protect the people, and both are under attack in the same way, not by open destruction, not by quiet erosion, but slow doubt by constant pressure.
- 3:03SPEAKER_00: The serpent's question still echoes today.
- 3:07SPEAKER_00: Hath God said?
- 3:09SPEAKER_00: And now another question joins it.
- 3:12SPEAKER_00: Hath the Constitution said?
- 3:15SPEAKER_00: The goal is the same weaken the foundation, confuse the people, replace the truth, but we must stand firm.
- 3:24SPEAKER_00: We must hold to Scripture.
- 3:26SPEAKER_00: We must honor the Constitution.
- 3:28SPEAKER_00: We must protect the foundations.
- 3:31SPEAKER_00: God has given us all of these good things, but if we don't protect them, they will not stand.
- 3:41SPEAKER_00: Because when truth stands, freedom stands.
- 3:44SPEAKER_00: And when truth falls, freedom falls with it.
- 3:48SPEAKER_00: And this is why believers must be alert.
- 3:51SPEAKER_00: The attack on foundation does not usually begin loudly.
- 3:56SPEAKER_00: It begins with small compromises, a verse ignored, a right treated as optional, a truth softened for applause, a boundary moved because the culture demanded it.
- 4:09SPEAKER_00: But small compromises become large consequences.
- 4:13SPEAKER_00: When people stop trusting Scripture, the church weakens.
- 4:17SPEAKER_00: When people stop honoring the Constitution, liberty weakens.
- 4:21SPEAKER_00: And when both are treated lightly, a nation loses its way.
- 4:27SPEAKER_00: So we must know what we believe.
- 4:29SPEAKER_00: We must teach our children why it matters.
- 4:32SPEAKER_00: We must not be ashamed of the old paths when those paths are true.
- 4:38SPEAKER_00: And we must remember that foundations are preserved by people who refuse to forget them.
- 4:45SPEAKER_00: One of our great songwriters and Christian writers, Joel Hempel, said it well.
- 4:52SPEAKER_00: Truth is not determined by majority vote.
- 4:56SPEAKER_00: I hope today's message has caused you to think.
