- 0:00While we tend to believe that our consciousness is centered in
- 0:04the region of the brain, or in some cases the heart, there's
- 0:08really a much broader framework for consciousness.
- 0:11There are different forms that consciousness takes.
- 0:14These forms vibrate at different frequencies and are then taken
- 0:18up and processed by the various subtle energy centers aligned
- 0:22along the spine, based on which vibratory pattern and frequency
- 0:26can be picked up by these centers, or chakras as they are
- 0:30called. Thus, vibrations that occur at a
- 0:33level that we call mental, that is, thoughts, perceptions,
- 0:37etcetera, are processed through centers in the brain, while
- 0:41those that characterize various vital activities are processed
- 0:46through the centers in the sacral, solar plexus and the
- 0:49heart area primarily. And those that deal with pure
- 0:53physical energies are primarily processed through the 1st chakra
- 0:57called the Mulladhara. Just as we now recognize that
- 1:01the electromagnetic spectrum is far broader than our senses can
- 1:05perceive and process. That is, there are colours and
- 1:09sounds, for example, that are in ranges both above and below
- 1:13those that our senses capture. So also there are ranges of
- 1:18consciousness both above and below those normally captured
- 1:23within the subtle energy centers that process the vibrations that
- 1:26define what we call the human consciousness.
- 1:31The forces vibrating either above or below our level of
- 1:34perception still impact us. For example, ultraviolet UV can
- 1:40cause blindness even if not directly seen, and infrared
- 1:45causes heating and burns, again without being directly seen.
- 1:51Similarly, forces of consciousness above the
- 1:54vibratory pattern captured by the seven primary chakras or
- 1:58below them also impact human consciousness, which provides us
- 2:04with an understanding of how various lower vibrational forces
- 2:08can drag us down in our energies, feelings, emotions and
- 2:12thoughts, or how various higher vibrational forces can uplift
- 2:18and energize us. Srioro Bindu observes quote the
- 2:23Mulladar is the center of the physical consciousness proper,
- 2:27and all below in the body is the sheer physical, which as it goes
- 2:31downward becomes increasingly subconscient.
- 2:35But the real seat of the subconscient is below the body,
- 2:39as the real seat of the higher consciousness, superconscient,
- 2:43is above the body. At the same time, the
- 2:47subconscient can be felt anywhere, felt as something
- 2:50below the movement of the consciousness and in a way
- 2:54supporting it from beneath, or else drawing the consciousness
- 2:58down towards itself. The subconscient is the main
- 3:03support of all habitual movements, especially the
- 3:06physical and lower vital movements.
- 3:09When something is thrown out of the vital or physical, it very
- 3:13usually goes down into the subcontinent and remains there
- 3:17as if in seed and comes up again when it can.
- 3:21That is the reason why it is so difficult to get rid of habitual
- 3:25vital movements or to change the character for supported or
- 3:30refreshed from this source preserved in this matrix, your
- 3:34vital movements, even when suppressed or repressed, surge
- 3:39up again and recur. The action of the subconscious
- 3:43is irrational, mechanical, repetitive.
- 3:47It does not listen to reason or the mental will.
- 3:51It is only by bringing the higher light and force into it
- 3:55that it can change. End Quote reference Sri
