  Speaker 1: morning devotion based off the book of John. We'll be

  Speaker 1: in John chapter 7, verses 37 and 38 today on

  Speaker 1: the Morning Devo. So let's go forward. Let's pray first.

  Speaker 1: After we pray, you can share this out with as

  Speaker 1: you ready? Let's go. Father, I thank you so much

  Speaker 1: for this time. Thank you, Lord God, for loving us

  Speaker 1: so much that you sent your only begotten son to
• 1:47
  Speaker 1: this earth on a rescue mission. For whoever believes in you,
• 1:51
  Speaker 1: your word says, will not perish but have everlasting life.

  Speaker 1: And within that everlasting life on this side of eternity,

  Speaker 1: thank you, Lord God, for filling us with streams of

  Speaker 1: living water, your Holy Spirit. I pray, Lord God, by

  Speaker 1: faith that you would touch our hearts, that you will

  Speaker 1: motivate us to move forward in victory, knowing that you
• 2:09
  Speaker 1: are in us and working through us. I pray I

  Speaker 1: have your protection over my family, my wife, our children,

  Speaker 1: my whole entire bloodline. I pray that by faith, knowing
• 2:18
  Speaker 1: that you are able to touch all our hearts, touch
• 2:21
  Speaker 1: all our lives, and direct us in the righteous path.

  Speaker 1: I pray for our queen angels, ministering angels, warring angels
• 2:27
  Speaker 1: to annihilate the tactics of the devil right now in

  Speaker 1: Jesus' holy name. And I pray, Lord God, that these

  Speaker 1: morning devotions coming from the book of John will elevate

  Speaker 1: our faith, will magnify your word, magnify your name, and

  Speaker 1: that we can be able to trust in who you are,

  Speaker 1: what you have done, what you're doing right now. And

  Speaker 1: we will consider you king, first and foremost, in our

  Speaker 1: hearts and in our minds daily, knowing that nothing can

  Speaker 1: take us away from your hand. No one, nothing could

  Speaker 1: take the promises of God away from our lives. Thank you,

  Speaker 1: Lord Jesus, for today. Thank you for right now. Thank

  Speaker 1: you for keeping us. And thank you for blessing us.

  Speaker 1: In your holy name, I pray this by faith. And

  Speaker 1: So let's start it off with John chapter 7, verses
• 3:16
  Speaker 1: 37 to 38. Amen. And I'm excited because we're live. Memorial,
• 3:23
  Speaker 1: excuse me, Labor Day has come and passed. We know
• 3:27
  Speaker 1: that these days are just flying by And wow, has
• 3:30
  Speaker 1: it been a trip, right? A lot of us are
• 3:34
  Speaker 1: experiencing a lot of victory. A lot of us are
• 3:40
  Speaker 1: pushing the envelope here and relying and trusting on God,
• 3:43
  Speaker 1: waiting on God. And we just have an opportunity right
• 3:47
  Speaker 1: now to get into his word and experience God's word
• 3:51
  Speaker 1: in real time in our lives. John 7, 37, 38.
• 3:55
  Speaker 1: Where it says, on the last and greatest day of
• 3:58
  Speaker 1: the feast, Jesus stood up and called out in a
• 4:01
  Speaker 1: loud voice. In a loud voice. See that? If anyone
• 4:06
  Speaker 1: is thirsty, all inclusive, anyone, let him come to me
• 4:11
  Speaker 1: and drink. Verse 38, whoever believes in me, as the
• 4:17
  Speaker 1: scripture has said, streams of living water will flow from within.
• 4:23
  Speaker 1: Now Jesus is speaking Holy Spirit. He's speaking kingdom. Amen.

  Speaker 1: He's prophesying. He's empowering those who have ears to listen, right?
• 4:34
  Speaker 1: So we know that Jesus is speaking here. And he's
• 4:41
  Speaker 1: including everyone at the sound of his voice. Anyone, he says.
• 4:48
  Speaker 1: If anyone is thirsty, let him, him meaning Mankind, him, her,
• 4:56
  Speaker 1: let him come to me and drink. So it's not about,
• 5:00
  Speaker 1: you know, well, I'm starting this new religion. If you
• 5:03
  Speaker 1: come to my church or if you come to my
• 5:05
  Speaker 1: synagogue or if you come to my meeting, right? No,
• 5:10
  Speaker 1: he says, let him come to me and drink. To
• 5:15
  Speaker 1: the Lord, whoever believes in Jesus, as the scripture has said,
• 5:19
  Speaker 1: streams flow. Of living water will flow from within. And
• 5:23
  Speaker 1: of course, that's a reference to an old covenant scripture. Amen?
• 5:30
  Speaker 1: Which I should have looked up. But you could do
• 5:32
  Speaker 1: your due diligence in your time, right? In your time,
• 5:35
  Speaker 1: you could do it. It's okay. So you can drink something, right?
• 5:40
  Speaker 1: Right now, something cold or something hot, depending on what
• 5:44
  Speaker 1: you're going to drink. But eventually, you'll get thirsty again.
• 5:49
  Speaker 1: Like whatever... I drink or whatever you drink, eventually you'll
• 5:52
  Speaker 1: get thirsty again. You could have accomplishments. You could have
• 5:57
  Speaker 1: goals and accomplish those goals. And that's exciting. And it's
• 6:01
  Speaker 1: fulfilling for the moment, right? Like, yes, I set a goal.
• 6:05
  Speaker 1: You could be working out, right? You set a goal
• 6:07
  Speaker 1: to lose X amount of weight and you met that goal.
• 6:10
  Speaker 1: That's an accomplishment, right? That will keep you going. You
• 6:15
  Speaker 1: can make more money. That will keep you going. You
• 6:17
  Speaker 1: could gain followers online. build relationships, or experience success, but
• 6:24
  Speaker 1: all of that could still run dry and still keep
• 6:29
  Speaker 1: you empty deep inside. How many people has been there, right?
• 6:33
  Speaker 1: Before Christ, I was doing a lot. Let's just say
• 6:37
  Speaker 1: I was doing a lot before Christ that I thought
• 6:39
  Speaker 1: was going to be satisfying, that I thought was going
• 6:41
  Speaker 1: to be an accomplishment, that I thought goals were being met,
• 6:44
  Speaker 1: goals were being reached, and we were moving, right? But
• 6:47
  Speaker 1: I was... Inside, deep inside, I was empty. And that's
• 6:52
  Speaker 1: why I came to a point in my life way
• 6:54
  Speaker 1: back in 2001 that I said, is this it? I'm
• 6:58
  Speaker 1: doing X, Y, Z. And it's still not really satisfying.
• 7:01
  Speaker 1: It's still not filling my cup. I still felt empty.
• 7:08
  Speaker 1: But Jesus showed up, found me where I was, right
• 7:11
  Speaker 1: where I was. And I believe right now he's taking
• 7:14
  Speaker 1: me to where he is. And I believe he can
• 7:16
  Speaker 1: do the same for you. You might find yourself at
• 7:19
  Speaker 1: a high level of success, right? Or you might find
• 7:23
  Speaker 1: yourself in a low level of failure. It all depends
• 7:27
  Speaker 1: on your perspective. Where are you? Jesus wants to know,
• 7:30
  Speaker 1: where are you today? So when Jesus speaks directly to
• 7:35
  Speaker 1: that kind of thirst, that when you're calling out for
• 7:38
  Speaker 1: true living water, that you want this stream of living water,
• 7:42
  Speaker 1: that you want to find who this Jesus is, amen?
• 7:46
  Speaker 1: I believe today is your day. He's speaking to you
• 7:49
  Speaker 1: right now. So Jesus says, if anyone is thirsty, in
• 7:55
  Speaker 1: other words, if you're looking for pure satisfaction, if you're
• 8:00
  Speaker 1: looking for pure holiness, pure righteousness, pure love, come to
• 8:07
  Speaker 1: the right place today. If anyone is thirsty, let him
• 8:11
  Speaker 1: come to me and drink. So notice the Notice that
• 8:15
  Speaker 1: Jesus didn't say, if everything is all together, or if
• 8:20
  Speaker 1: you have everything all together, come to me. Notice that
• 8:25
  Speaker 1: he didn't say that. He didn't say, I'll be waiting
• 8:28
  Speaker 1: right here. I'm available when you get all your things right.
• 8:32
  Speaker 1: Then you come to me. No, he didn't say that.
• 8:34
  Speaker 1: Thank you, Jesus. He doesn't say, if you've never failed,
• 8:39
  Speaker 1: come to me. He doesn't say, if you've always had
• 8:41
  Speaker 1: it all together, come to me. No, he didn't say that.
• 8:44
  Speaker 1: It doesn't say if you happen to need me, I'll
• 8:51
  Speaker 1: be right here waiting. It doesn't say that. He says
• 8:54
  Speaker 1: if anyone is thirsty, which means you qualify and I qualify.

  Speaker 1: When we came to the Lord Jesus Christ, needing of life,
• 9:08
  Speaker 1: needing of holiness, needing of forgiveness, we went to the
• 9:12
  Speaker 1: right person at the right time. Amen. Today is the
• 9:15
  Speaker 1: day of salvation, the word says. So therefore, you don't
• 9:19
  Speaker 1: have to wait till Wednesday, Thursday, Tuesday, whatever service time, Sunday.

  Speaker 1: You don't have Saturday. Whatever day of the week that
• 9:30
  Speaker 1: XYZ Church is open, you don't have to wait for
• 9:32
  Speaker 1: that service. You could actually get into a personal relationship
• 9:36
  Speaker 1: right now with the Lord Jesus Christ. Because the Bible
• 9:39
  Speaker 1: says today is the day of salvation. Whoever hears, whoever
• 9:42
  Speaker 1: has ears to listen. Amen. You will listen to this
• 9:47
  Speaker 1: word and you will apply this word in your personal
• 9:50
  Speaker 1: life right now. You've probably, like me and most people
• 9:54
  Speaker 1: I know, you've probably tried everything else and nothing really satisfied,
• 9:59
  Speaker 1: nothing really stuck. nothing really worked, right? But now is
• 10:03
  Speaker 1: your opportunity to trust in Jesus. So that means you qualify.
• 10:08
  Speaker 1: If you're tired, you qualify. If you're discouraged, you qualify.
• 10:14
  Speaker 1: If you're searching for direction, you qualify. If your heart
• 10:17
  Speaker 1: feels empty, Now pray that that's not the case, but
• 10:21
  Speaker 1: sometimes that's where we are. If your heart feels empty,
• 10:25
  Speaker 1: you qualify. If you've wandered away, you heard the gospel,
• 10:30
  Speaker 1: you were involved in the church of God, amen, but
• 10:33
  Speaker 1: now you're wandering away, come back to Jesus. Jesus is
• 10:38
  Speaker 1: the source of what your soul truly needs. Jesus is
• 10:44
  Speaker 1: the source of these streams of living water that will
• 10:50
  Speaker 1: flow within you, right? This is an inside work that
• 10:55
  Speaker 1: God has done in our heart and our mind, and
• 10:57
  Speaker 1: now it's flowing out. So what God does on the inside, amen,
• 11:03
  Speaker 1: will be shown publicly. What he does in a private
• 11:07
  Speaker 1: with his children will be shown publicly. Sometimes when you
• 11:10
  Speaker 1: just show up in a situation that somebody's hurting, somebody
• 11:15
  Speaker 1: needs prayer, somebody just needs a listening ear, Somebody needs encouragement.
• 11:20
  Speaker 1: It meant sometimes your availability, sometimes just showing up will
• 11:25
  Speaker 1: be that point in time in that other person's life
• 11:28
  Speaker 1: or in that other family's life. That's all they were
• 11:30
  Speaker 1: waiting for. That's all they needed. They needed someone to listen,
• 11:34
  Speaker 1: to be heard. They wanted someone to listen to them.
• 11:39
  Speaker 1: They wanted someone to believe in them. They wanted somebody
• 11:41
  Speaker 1: to encourage them. They wanted someone to pray for them
• 11:45
  Speaker 1: and with them. They wanted somebody to believe what they're
• 11:48
  Speaker 1: saying to be true in their situation. Right? So I'm
• 11:53
  Speaker 1: mindful of that in my personal life. When somebody has
• 11:55
  Speaker 1: a situation, whatever I'm doing, if I can, I'll stop
• 11:59
  Speaker 1: what I'm doing and listen to what they're saying. Nine
• 12:03
  Speaker 1: out of ten times, they're calling you or they're calling
• 12:06
  Speaker 1: me or they're connecting with us because deep down inside,
• 12:10
  Speaker 1: they want what we have. It's not what we personally have.
• 12:16
  Speaker 1: They want to know what it is or who it
• 12:19
  Speaker 1: is that keeps us happy, full of joy, that keeps
• 12:23
  Speaker 1: us trusting the Lord, that keeps us in a positive
• 12:27
  Speaker 1: forward state. They want to know who is it that
• 12:31
  Speaker 1: we're believing in. So sometimes we have to be mindful
• 12:36
  Speaker 1: that although they might not be a believer at the moment,
• 12:40
  Speaker 1: but they might be searching for the true, living, holy, loving,
• 12:44
  Speaker 1: righteous God. We might be The connecting factor might be
• 12:49
  Speaker 1: the plug that they need to get into the kingdom
• 12:52
  Speaker 1: of God. So don't just drink. Let what you're drinking flow.

  Speaker 1: Jesus goes even further, right? He says that whoever believes
• 13:04
  Speaker 1: in him will have streams, plural, of living water flowing
• 13:09
  Speaker 1: from within. And when I see that streams of living water,
• 13:12
  Speaker 1: I'm already thinking that that's going to be an everlasting stream.
• 13:16
  Speaker 1: an everlasting flow of His Spirit living inside of us
• 13:21
  Speaker 1: to overflow. It never runs out. I know I've heard
• 13:25
  Speaker 1: preachers say, well, when you're empty, ask God for more
• 13:28
  Speaker 1: of the Holy Spirit. There's no indication of more Holy
• 13:31
  Speaker 1: Spirit that I've seen in the Scripture. Amen? I've seen
• 13:35
  Speaker 1: preachers lay hands on people and ask Holy Spirit more, more, more,
• 13:40
  Speaker 1: whatever more means in that situation. I hope they're not
• 13:47
  Speaker 1: Asking for more of what the Holy Spirit can do
• 13:50
  Speaker 1: through them. I just hope that that's just a saying.
• 13:53
  Speaker 1: Because I don't see that in scripture about this whole
• 13:56
  Speaker 1: thing of being more of the Holy Spirit. He says
• 14:00
  Speaker 1: that whoever believes in him will have streams of living
• 14:03
  Speaker 1: water flowing from within. So God doesn't want his presence
• 14:08
  Speaker 1: to stop with you or to stop with me. He
• 14:10
  Speaker 1: doesn't want us to stop there, obviously. Amen. The presence
• 14:13
  Speaker 1: of the Lord is there. everywhere. He wants it all
• 14:17
  Speaker 1: through the earth, all through his people. Amen. And where
• 14:20
  Speaker 1: the presence of the Lord is, the scripture says there
• 14:22
  Speaker 1: is freedom, there is liberty, there's salvation, there's deliverance. Amen.

  Speaker 1: Where the spirit of God is, is where victory is at.

  Speaker 1: So he wants what he pours into you and he
• 14:37
  Speaker 1: wants what he pours into me to flow through you
• 14:41
  Speaker 1: and through me. Right? This is a flow. of living water,
• 14:45
  Speaker 1: streams of living water will flow from within. This is
• 14:50
  Speaker 1: the idea that God thought of, amen, the streams of
• 14:54
  Speaker 1: living water. It was spoken of in the old covenant
• 14:58
  Speaker 1: and realized in the new covenant when Jesus showed up.

  Speaker 1: Now he's speaking it out. And from my learning and
• 15:05
  Speaker 1: my experience being a Christian, following Christ and believing in him, amen,
• 15:10
  Speaker 1: I know that what he speaks shall come to pass.
• 15:15
  Speaker 1: So he wants to pour out what he has into
• 15:18
  Speaker 1: you and into me to flow through us. Your words
• 15:21
  Speaker 1: and my words can encourage somebody. Amen. How many people
• 15:26
  Speaker 1: know that when you speak the word of God, it
• 15:29
  Speaker 1: could have two different effects on people. Either they'll get
• 15:34
  Speaker 1: angry or they'll get encouraged. The people who get angry
• 15:38
  Speaker 1: is because they're hearing the truth and they're realizing that
• 15:41
  Speaker 1: that's opposing their ideas and It's opposing the world system.
• 15:46
  Speaker 1: And depending on how deep they are into the world system,
• 15:50
  Speaker 1: how lost they are, depending on that, they will receive
• 15:54
  Speaker 1: it or they'll reject the word. Amen? So don't take
• 15:58
  Speaker 1: it too personal, even though this is a personal matter
• 16:00
  Speaker 1: when you're preaching to somebody or when you're testifying the
• 16:03
  Speaker 1: love of God. Amen? When you're sharing your testimony, yes,
• 16:06
  Speaker 1: it is personal. But if they reject what you're saying
• 16:10
  Speaker 1: according to what the scripture wants us to speak to them,
• 16:13
  Speaker 1: according to what this stream of living water wants to
• 16:16
  Speaker 1: speak to this person or this family, this individual. Amen.
• 16:19
  Speaker 1: Don't take it personal. They're not rejecting you. Sadly enough,
• 16:22
  Speaker 1: they're rejecting the word of God, the living word. They're
• 16:25
  Speaker 1: rejecting Holy Spirit. They're rejecting the gospel. They're rejecting the
• 16:29
  Speaker 1: word of God. Amen. So for me, it's hard to
• 16:33
  Speaker 1: not take it personal because I'm like, you have it.
• 16:35
  Speaker 1: It's right here. Here's your opportunity to experience the everlasting,
• 16:41
  Speaker 1: eternal word of God for yourself. and you're rejecting it, right?
• 16:45
  Speaker 1: So it's tough for me when people reject. I used
• 16:48
  Speaker 1: to be the one on the other end rejecting the gospel,
• 16:51
  Speaker 1: listening to what people had to say about the Lord,
• 16:54
  Speaker 1: and I was like, yeah, that's for you. That's good
• 16:56
  Speaker 1: for you and your church and your people, but that's
• 16:58
  Speaker 1: not for me. That's what I literally used to tell people,
• 17:01
  Speaker 1: and that's sad. So your testimony can give somebody hope, right?
• 17:07
  Speaker 1: Your testimony can really, really give people hope because they
• 17:13
  Speaker 1: could relate to your testimony. Some people have experienced similar
• 17:18
  Speaker 1: things that you've experienced until Jesus showed up in your
• 17:21
  Speaker 1: heart and in your life and in your mind and transformed,
• 17:24
  Speaker 1: renewed you, restored you, redeemed you, and gave you an
• 17:27
  Speaker 1: opportunity to experience this living, streams of living water that
• 17:32
  Speaker 1: flows within you. Your kindness can point somebody toward Christ.
• 17:38
  Speaker 1: I see it all the time. I see the street
• 17:41
  Speaker 1: preachers out there yelling and screaming, telling everybody they're going
• 17:44
  Speaker 1: to hell if they don't repent, which is actually true,
• 17:48
  Speaker 1: but it's not appealing to the people that don't even
• 17:51
  Speaker 1: know what sin is. It's not appealing to people who
• 17:53
  Speaker 1: don't even believe in heaven or hell. Amen? But I've
• 17:57
  Speaker 1: also seen street preachers with the kindness of God, which
• 18:01
  Speaker 1: the Bible says the kindness of God leads men to repentance,
• 18:04
  Speaker 1: go up to people. Amen? They don't have to yell
• 18:08
  Speaker 1: or scream, but just go up to people, preach the gospel, testify,
• 18:12
  Speaker 1: Give them something tangible, like maybe a tract or a
• 18:16
  Speaker 1: Bible or the book of John. And I've seen them
• 18:19
  Speaker 1: witness that way. And I've seen more people, at least
• 18:22
  Speaker 1: from what I've seen in my experience, I've seen more
• 18:25
  Speaker 1: people repent because of the kindness of God more than
• 18:30
  Speaker 1: of the judgment of God, right? So you just got
• 18:33
  Speaker 1: to think about it. I know, let God use you.
• 18:35
  Speaker 1: Sometimes you're going to be in situations where you have
• 18:38
  Speaker 1: to preach repentance to the masses and because of wherever
• 18:42
  Speaker 1: you are, whatever you're trying to do in that situation
• 18:45
  Speaker 1: and whatever God calls you to do. Right? But be
• 18:49
  Speaker 1: mindful that there's no system, there's no format that you
• 18:52
  Speaker 1: could use every single time that you go out witnessing,
• 18:55
  Speaker 1: every single time that you go out testifying, every single
• 18:57
  Speaker 1: time that you go out and do outreach. There's not
• 19:00
  Speaker 1: a system that's always going to be working for every
• 19:03
  Speaker 1: single opportunity that God gives you. He wants us to
• 19:07
  Speaker 1: flow in His Spirit. Amen? He wants us to know
• 19:10
  Speaker 1: that He is with us and he will give us
• 19:13
  Speaker 1: the right words to speak to the individuals that he's
• 19:16
  Speaker 1: trying to reach because ultimately this is God's mission through us. Right?
• 19:20
  Speaker 1: He's working out what he wants us to do for
• 19:25
  Speaker 1: his glory. So your life, it can become a channel
• 19:32
  Speaker 1: through which God's love reaches people who are spiritually thirsty.
• 19:37
  Speaker 1: And there's a whole field of people like that. We're
• 19:40
  Speaker 1: never going to be in a shortage of people to
• 19:43
  Speaker 1: pray for. We're not going to be in a shortage
• 19:45
  Speaker 1: of people that we could preach the gospel to. There's
• 19:48
  Speaker 1: not going to be a shortage of people who are lost.
• 19:52
  Speaker 1: So we have work to do. It's always going to
• 19:55
  Speaker 1: be work to do until the Lord Jesus comes back, right?
• 19:59
  Speaker 1: But in the meantime, he says, occupy. Do something. Be encouraged.

  Speaker 1: Be filled with his streams of living water, with his spirit.
• 20:09
  Speaker 1: Move forward. Be encouraged. Be enthusiastic. Be filled with His Spirit.

  Speaker 1: Your love that you have for God will express God's
• 20:21
