- 0:07[SPEAKER_00]: Jacksonville Jaguar's fans, welcome in to Dove All Daily, presented by Jinjag.com.
- 0:10[SPEAKER_00]: I'm Jordan Aluga, thanks so much for being here Tuesday, September 9th, Jaguar's 1-0.
- 0:17[SPEAKER_00]: Gotta love it.
- 0:17[SPEAKER_00]: Good feeling heading into week two here, and the next couple days will be spent more on.
- 0:23[SPEAKER_00]: Big picture and the Panthers game a little bit and then we will start around Thursday I think really getting into the Jaguars and Bengals match up, which is going to be a really fun week to match up for both sides I think it's got a lot of implications in the AFC and just kind of a litmus test for both teams I think.
- 0:44[SPEAKER_00]: So that'll be really good.
- 0:45[SPEAKER_00]: But right now we're talking about Tank Biggsby.
- 0:48[SPEAKER_00]: Did one of our mind y'all programming reminder for tomorrow club Jaguar myself UCF Jaguar Jason from Jaguar's United We will be live over on UCF Jaguar's channel talking all things Jacksonville Jaguars football 830 p.m.
- 1:03[SPEAKER_00]: Wednesday
- 1:06[SPEAKER_00]: every single week.
- 1:07[SPEAKER_00]: So, that's going to be over on Club Jaguar's channel, or excuse me, you see I've Jaguar's channel this year.
- 1:13[SPEAKER_00]: So, the Jaguar's, they traded Tank Biggs B yesterday, last night right before Monday and I football, I'm sitting down, got the blanket on, excited to watch them, Caleb Williams, and Ben Johnson against the Vikings, Jason McCarthy, Kevin O'Connell, no Grant Udinsky anymore, right?
- 1:28[SPEAKER_00]: No Johnny Month as well, but, um,
- 1:32[SPEAKER_00]: You get the news.
- 1:33[SPEAKER_00]: Jaguars have traded running back tank bigs before a fifth and a six round pick was the initial reporting then D-rock.
- 1:43[SPEAKER_00]: Michael Doraco of ESPN.
- 1:46[SPEAKER_00]: Great.
- 1:47[SPEAKER_00]: Great Jaguars beat reporter.
- 1:50[SPEAKER_00]: actually added another layer to that trade and his reporting and his sourcing so we're going to get into it.
- 1:55[SPEAKER_00]: We're going to get into why the Jacksonville Jaguar's traded tank bigs be right now.
- 2:01[SPEAKER_00]: Initially, I did offer some analysis and insight into it, but we're going to check out a bashedl-tootin clip.
- 2:08[SPEAKER_00]: We're going to talk about why exactly I think after having some time to reflect on it,
- 2:14[SPEAKER_00]: the Jaguar's Trade Tank Bigsby.
- 2:16[SPEAKER_00]: So, appreciate y'all being here.
- 2:17[SPEAKER_00]: If you enjoy the content, please like and subscribe.
- 2:19[SPEAKER_00]: You can also check out ginjag.com slash shop.
- 2:22[SPEAKER_00]: Pick up some new Duval gear.
- 2:24[SPEAKER_00]: So, the Jaguar's traded tank bigsby again to the Eagles for a fifth and a sixth round pick.
- 2:32[SPEAKER_00]: The kicker here is that that fifth round pick could become a fourth round pick if Bryce Huff who the Eagles traded to the 49ers gets eight or more sacks in 2025.
- 2:44[SPEAKER_00]: Now he did not get a sack.
- 2:47[SPEAKER_00]: this opening weekend, but still.
- 2:49[SPEAKER_00]: Eight is not an insanely high bar to clear.
- 2:53[SPEAKER_00]: He's not like this clear number one rusher for them, obviously.
- 2:57[SPEAKER_00]: So I'm going to assume it's a fifth rounder until we see Bryce Huffstart and kicking in the gear if that ever happens.
- 3:05[SPEAKER_00]: We don't know.
- 3:07[SPEAKER_00]: But it could be a fourth round pick.
- 3:09[SPEAKER_00]: So, even if it's not, a fifth and a sixth round pick for a running back who you don't have really future or current plans for is a very good value and you're like, wait, you don't have a future or current plans for.
- 3:22[SPEAKER_00]: This guy's under contract for another year after 2025 and he's a tough physical runner all this stuff.
- 3:28[SPEAKER_00]: You know, you got the send in the tank.
- 3:31[SPEAKER_00]: Look.
- 3:34[SPEAKER_00]: His skill set is limited to running the football.
- 3:38[SPEAKER_00]: And, you know, that's the Eagle's good returner.
- 3:40[SPEAKER_00]: He did, he's returned kick, right?
- 3:42[SPEAKER_00]: Return kick, so the Jaguars.
- 3:44[SPEAKER_00]: But not somebody who you want on the field in passing situations.
- 3:50[SPEAKER_00]: You don't want to throw him the ball.
- 3:51[SPEAKER_00]: You don't want him on the field in pass protection.
- 3:54[SPEAKER_00]: That makes for a difficult play.
- 3:57[SPEAKER_00]: And,
- 4:00[SPEAKER_00]: Had the Jack war is not landed, basal toot and Anne Lee Quint Allen in the draft, could they roll with tank as they're running down back, work, type of guy in Travis ETN as well?
- 4:13[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, I mean, they could, I think they could make it work with those two, but they didn't have to make it work with those two because they got basal and they got Lee Quint.
- 4:26[SPEAKER_00]: and Travis E. team we all know had an insane day and he's capable of having crazy productive days the way he did you know on Sunday against the Panthers and the Panthers do have a weaker run defense than a lot of teams around the league so I don't think it's all going to be sunshine and rainbows the way it was against the Panthers every single week but Travis E. team has a very talented back as we have talked about quite a bit here.
- 4:51[SPEAKER_00]: did not want the Jaguars to trade privacy to you and I've told y'all on this channel if they were going to try to run back I think tank bigs would be makes more sense.
- 4:59[SPEAKER_00]: Basial to and to me is the biggest reason and like the emergence of basial toot and is the biggest reason the Jaguars probably feel comfortable with moving tank.
- 5:14[SPEAKER_00]: He's a rookie this year, right?
- 5:15[SPEAKER_00]: He's under contract for the next four years.
- 5:18[SPEAKER_00]: Yes, Lee Quint Allen is involved as well, but to me, Lee Quint Allen, regardless of whether tank was here or not, was going to be that role player as a third down back in 2025.
- 5:30[SPEAKER_00]: That's what the plan is for him in my opinion.
- 5:32[SPEAKER_00]: the guy who can come in, he can run routes out of the back field, he can kick out as a slot receiver as well if you want to motion him out there, he can stick in and provide past protection, so he can do a lot for you, and he can also run the ball.
- 5:46[SPEAKER_00]: There's nothing wrong with his ability as a Russia either.
- 5:49[SPEAKER_00]: He's pretty tough and physical and has some juice to him, but
- 5:55[SPEAKER_00]: The real thing for me is Basel, and the way Basel Tutan has taken on the role of being a professional running back this year with the Jaguars, and this system has been really impressive, and he's just got more traits, more ability, more versatility than Tank Biggsbidden, and he's got more juice.
- 6:17[SPEAKER_00]: He's a guy that can really make something out of nothing.
- 6:21[SPEAKER_00]: That can hit the home run.
- 6:24[SPEAKER_00]: The fourth, three speed is apparent.
- 6:26[SPEAKER_00]: He's also just crazy when it comes to his ability to jump cut and make people miss and fight for extra yards.
- 6:34[SPEAKER_00]: And we're gonna take a look at one play here that to me really exemplifies the basal toton experience and why the Jaguar is feel comfortable moving on from Tank Biggsby.
- 6:45[SPEAKER_00]: Look, Tank Bixby has had a fun-bling issues in his career, so as Baxel Tutant.
- 6:49[SPEAKER_00]: Ever since Baxel Tutant's first rep where the ball hit the ground, in Jacksonville, that has not happened again, whether it be in preseason or practice.
- 6:57[SPEAKER_00]: He's been really consistent in that regard.
- 7:02[SPEAKER_00]: He also has special teams all you like he could return kicks for you if you want as well.
- 7:05[SPEAKER_00]: So he can replace that part of Tank Bixby's game.
- 7:09[SPEAKER_00]: So yeah, let's just go ahead and take a look at.
- 7:13[SPEAKER_00]: The the one play from from Sunday's game that really to me is just the shiny example of why You've got to get bashedal toon on the field and get him the rock and again I believe he is the main reason tank Biggsby is no longer a Jacksonville Jaguar Along with the draft capital that comes along with that trade But look here you've got the Jaguars in jumbo personnel
- 7:40[SPEAKER_00]: Right, you've got two tight ends to the offensive right side.
- 7:44[SPEAKER_00]: 12 personnel.
- 7:55[SPEAKER_00]: What do we have here we've got?
- 7:56[SPEAKER_00]: Double team blocks on 94, we've got Walker little taken care of the end.
- 8:01[SPEAKER_00]: We've got McCary one on one with 97 Anton Harrison and I think that's how no long can't tell they are taking care of Derek Brown and Ton Harrison's working to the second level So right here basal Tutan gets it and this is basically
- 8:24[SPEAKER_00]: At that point, the hole is to the B gap in between the guard and the tackle, 32's there to probably make a play, probably there to make a play as well, in the A gap.
- 8:41[SPEAKER_00]: He double jump cuts.
- 8:43[SPEAKER_00]: At this point, 97's like, oh, I got a shot at this.
- 8:55[SPEAKER_00]: This is crazy.
- 8:57[SPEAKER_00]: Whop, whop, boom.
- 9:02[SPEAKER_00]: Greengrass, and they close on it, right?
- 9:05[SPEAKER_00]: It's eight yard pickup.
- 9:07[SPEAKER_00]: It's not 71 yard gain like Travis UT and had, but wow, double jump cut, explosive cuts.
- 9:17[SPEAKER_00]: Also shows some like contortionism,
- 9:23[SPEAKER_00]: to evade 97 there, while jump cutting.
- 9:26[SPEAKER_00]: Crazy.
- 9:28[SPEAKER_00]: And, you know, great blocking scheme by the Jack Wars, great execution by most of these guys, you know, McCary kind of gets thrown, but it doesn't matter.
- 9:40[SPEAKER_00]: Because Tutan is not going to be tackled by 97 in space and that really is too much space for 97 to be able to make that play goodness.
- 9:50[SPEAKER_00]: that was a really explosive double jump cut by Bacial Tune.
- 9:55[SPEAKER_00]: So yeah, I mean, that play absolutely bonkers the way he's able to double jump cut and then and pick up yards and get up field and kind of can tour his body.
- 10:06[SPEAKER_00]: I think this is about getting Bacial Tune on the field.
- 10:09[SPEAKER_00]: Lee Quint Allen was going to have a roll as a pass down back.
- 10:13[SPEAKER_00]: Travis E.T.N.
- 10:14[SPEAKER_00]: gonna be the lead back in 2025.
- 10:18[SPEAKER_00]: It'll be fascinating to see what the Jaguars do about Travis E.C.
- 10:20[SPEAKER_00]: in the contract.
- 10:20[SPEAKER_00]: My opinion still is that they'll probably let him walk, start somewhere else, and roll with Bacial Tutan and Lee Quint Allen as their top backs moving forward into 2026, but I do think it's fair to acknowledge that the Rams, where Liam Cohen and James Gladstone, you know, cut their teeth in the NFL.
- 10:45[SPEAKER_00]: They have shown the propensity to extend backs, like they extend a car in Williams this year.
- 10:51[SPEAKER_00]: Obviously James Lads are not there anymore, but they've done that in the past as well.
- 10:56[SPEAKER_00]: So I don't think anything is written in stone yet regarding the long-term future of the Jack Wars running back room, like with Travis CTN.
- 11:05[SPEAKER_00]: But my guess would still be that you want to roll with basal and Lee Quint Allen is your top two backs after the 20 25 season.
- 11:15[SPEAKER_00]: The good news is 20 25 season just got kicked off and the Jaguars have a really good trio of running backs that they can feel good about, that provide different skill sets versatility, a lot of explosiveness between Travis C.T.N.
- 11:31[SPEAKER_00]: and basal to and and now they have you know 13 draft picks in 2026.
- 11:38[SPEAKER_00]: They do not have a first round pick and this is the second part of why they really traded bigsby the ability to add two more picks.
- 11:47[SPEAKER_00]: Not even seventh round picks right.
- 11:49[SPEAKER_00]: A fifth that could be a fourth and a sixth.
- 11:53[SPEAKER_00]: To me,
- 11:55[SPEAKER_00]: There's just so much value in the versatility and the utility that they have in this upcoming draft in 2026, because they don't have the first round pick, because they went and got Travis Hunter.
- 12:05[SPEAKER_00]: I still praise that move, absolutely.
- 12:08[SPEAKER_00]: They have a second round pick that's their own.
- 12:12[SPEAKER_00]: They have three third round picks.
- 12:15[SPEAKER_00]: They have a fourth round pick.
- 12:17[SPEAKER_00]: They have now,
- 12:19[SPEAKER_00]: three fifth round picks.
- 12:21[SPEAKER_00]: Again, one of those could be a fourth round pick.
- 12:23[SPEAKER_00]: They have a six round pick and they have four seven round picks.
- 12:27[SPEAKER_00]: If the Jack Wars want to, they can use this draft capital to acquire a veteran.
- 12:33[SPEAKER_00]: If they feel like, you know, we're pushing for it right now this year.
- 12:38[SPEAKER_00]: And we need to make a move before the trade deadline to go get someone that's going to help put us over the top all-all trading from our cell
- 12:49[SPEAKER_00]: They cannot do that.
- 12:51[SPEAKER_00]: They could continue to maybe acquire more draft capital for 2026 while not losing anything on the field.
- 13:00[SPEAKER_00]: And again, Bixby has a role in this league, right?
- 13:03[SPEAKER_00]: But I don't think he's a better back than Bacial Tutan.
- 13:08[SPEAKER_00]: And Lee Quay Allen, we know his role, right?
- 13:11[SPEAKER_00]: So I don't think the Jaguars are losing anything.
- 13:14[SPEAKER_00]: And they're top two backs.
- 13:15[SPEAKER_00]: Like, they've got a really good top two backs now.
- 13:18[SPEAKER_00]: and you're role-playing, pass-catching back, pass down back and Lee Quint Allen.
- 13:25[SPEAKER_00]: And you now have 13 picks for next year.
- 13:28[SPEAKER_00]: If they want to, they can make a first round pick next year.
- 13:33[SPEAKER_00]: Easily.
- 13:34[SPEAKER_00]: I'm not saying they will.
- 13:35[SPEAKER_00]: I'm saying if they decide that look, there's a couple players that we really love in the first round.
- 13:41[SPEAKER_00]: If we need to get back into the 20s to do that, or even around 30, we can.
- 13:50[SPEAKER_00]: If you're James Gladstone, you have four day two picks and you have one, two, three, four, five, six, seven, eight, nine day three picks.
- 14:03[SPEAKER_00]: You can easily, easily get back up in the first round if you want to, you can move around on day two.
- 14:09[SPEAKER_00]: So many different avenues for the Jaguars to go down and then giving themselves the flexibility
- 14:20[SPEAKER_00]: what the doctor ordered when you don't have a first round pick.
- 14:24[SPEAKER_00]: I really wish tank pigs be the best.
- 14:26[SPEAKER_00]: I hope he has a great rest of his career.
- 14:29[SPEAKER_00]: I hope he has fun and filly.
- 14:31[SPEAKER_00]: Playing with sake one in those guys.
- 14:33[SPEAKER_00]: But I can't wait to see more basal toton on the field.
- 14:37[SPEAKER_00]: really can't.
- 14:39[SPEAKER_00]: I think again, from a 2025 on field standpoint, that's what this is about.
- 14:44[SPEAKER_00]: It's not about getting Lee Quint more snaps right now.
- 14:46[SPEAKER_00]: It's about getting Basial more snaps.
- 14:48[SPEAKER_00]: It's about making Basial RB2 and solidifying the fact that Travis UTN is your lead guy, which was obviously solidified on Sunday against the Carolina Panthers.
- 14:58[SPEAKER_00]: Let me know what y'all think in the comment section below.
