- 1:34- Welcome to the divine five one five podcast.
- 1:38- Here is today's prayer.
- 1:44- Hello, and welcome to divine five one five
- 1:47- daily prayers with Vali Moshe.
- 1:50- I am your host, and today's prayer topic
- 1:53- is
- 1:54- about serving others with joy.
- 1:57- Scripture text comes from Mark ten forty five
- 1:59- and says for even the son of man
- 2:01- did not come to be served, but
- 2:03- to
- 2:06- serve. Now
- 2:07- our culture
- 2:08- often measures success by what we achieve for
- 2:12- ourselves.
- 2:13- Right? It's always about what we can get
- 2:15- out.
- 2:17- But Jesus measured greatness
- 2:19- by how we serve others.
- 2:22- And
- 2:23- what's fascinating
- 2:25- about this is is it is actually the
- 2:27- polar opposite of what the world and the
- 2:30- culture
- 2:31- say to do.
- 2:33- And and one of the other previous prayers,
- 2:36- I talked about
- 2:37- how
- 2:38- pride is the thing that can often get
- 2:41- us
- 2:42- into trouble, but how humility
- 2:45- is not only
- 2:48- a spiritual or a heart posture, but a
- 2:50- mental posture as well, a mental,
- 2:53- mindset as well.
- 2:55- And I say that because
- 2:57- in order to be
- 3:00- an effective servant and to have
- 3:03- the heart of Christ and reflect the characters
- 3:05- of our father,
- 3:07- you have to be thinking about
- 3:09- the needs of others. Now that doesn't mean
- 3:12- that you forsake your own needs, Right? If
- 3:14- if they will tell you that if if
- 3:16- if you're in a drowning situation,
- 3:19- you wanna make sure that you're secure before
- 3:21- you go and try to help someone else.
- 3:23- But that's not necessarily what the scripture here
- 3:25- is addressing.
- 3:26- It's saying
- 3:29- you see the need, meet the need. Right?
- 3:31- We often pray for God to
- 3:34- help other people,
- 3:36- but we often forget that we can be
- 3:38- the answer to our prayers sometimes.
- 3:41- It's it's not that God can answer it,
- 3:44- but he needs
- 3:45- people. He needs conduit,
- 3:47- hands and feet to meet the needs of
- 3:49- those prayers.
- 3:52- And so
- 3:54- with every act of kindness,
- 3:56- every prayer offered, and every sacrifice
- 3:59- made in love reflects
- 4:01- his heart.
- 4:02- And so
- 4:03- when we are asking the will of God,
- 4:06- right, when, like, when we're saying the Lord's
- 4:08- prayer and we're asking for his will to
- 4:11- be done,
- 4:12- well, we are his little
- 4:15- lampstands. We are his his his little flashlights,
- 4:19- if you will.
- 4:20- We are to go and illuminate the world
- 4:23- around us, whatever that portion of the world
- 4:25- is,
- 4:26- by meeting the needs of others.
- 4:28- So whether it's a kind word, whether it's
- 4:31- just
- 4:32- bringing someone,
- 4:33- a hot meal, whatever it is,
- 4:36- Remember,
- 4:37- all of these
- 4:39- actions reflect the heart of
- 4:42- the servant.
- 4:44- And you cannot be any greater servant than
- 4:47- following the pattern of the master
- 4:50- himself, our Messiah.
- 4:52- That being said,
- 4:54- let's go to the door.
- 4:57- Heavenly father, give us a servant's
- 5:00- heart.
- 5:02- Help us to notice opportunities
- 5:04- to love,
- 5:05- encourage and serve the people
- 5:08- you've placed around us.
- 5:10- Let our motives be rooted in gratitude rather
- 5:12- than recognition
- 5:14- and may our life reflect the humility and
- 5:17- compassion of Christ and everything that we do
- 5:20- Use us to make a difference for your
- 5:23- kingdom
- 5:24- today and every day, and we will bless
- 5:27- you in Jesus' name. Amen.
- 5:30- Well,
- 5:31- remember, serving others begins by
- 5:34- serving Christ, and there can be no other
- 5:37- greater privilege than serving the divine one and
- 5:40- the Messiah.

- 5:45- prayer life and your relationship to the next

- 6:04- because it's how we walk with God every
- 6:07- single day.
