- 0:00Hello everybody, and welcome to Honey Badger Radio. My name is Brian and
- 0:03Allison and this is the next episode of Maintaining Frame. How many times are
- 0:09we going to do this to you, old man? Or how much?
- 0:11How many sims are going to teach you this lesson? Old man? We
- 0:15are going to be talking about something that I haven't thought about. Well,
- 0:21actually no, I think about it all the time. What am I talking?
- 0:23Who am I kidding? Something that hasn't been in the public consciousness for
- 0:28about ten years. We're gonna be talking about gamer Gate because as I predicted
- 0:35it was going to come back around. It was inevitable and it's necessary.
- 0:40It never really disappear though it not for me. No, not for me.
- 0:45I think that people go ahead, you know, this is ongoing.
- 0:52It's just a fire that's gotten in under the ground and it's just there to
- 0:58ignite again, does it? Nothing like that? The people who were pushing
- 1:02this stuff didn't didn't depart, right, they didn't disappear, They didn't go
- 1:07back to the phantom zone. Yeah, that's exactly right, just continued yep.
- 1:17They didn't even they didn't even really hide. See, this is the
- 1:19this is the thing. It didn't. No, no, no, this
- 1:23is the thing for me. So okay, I don't know. Does anybody
- 1:26here need a refresher on Gamergate. I know that we have some new people,
- 1:34but I don't know if they're do you do you? Oh my god?
- 1:38Yeah, I can give you like the footnotes version of it. Okay,
- 1:42So basically in twenty they did start in twenty fourteen. I want to
- 1:47say we were talking about these issues before that, because there was well there's
- 1:52a reason for it. But in twenty fourteen, I believe it was August
- 1:57of that year, a bunch of our articles came out from various mainstream games
- 2:05journal websites, right, so like Kotaku and Rock Paper, Shotgun and I
- 2:15don't know, IGN whatever, I don't even remember game Spot, I don't
- 2:19It doesn't matter, right, all of these mainstream journalist websites at the same
- 2:24time released a bunch of articles saying gamers don't have to be your audience.
- 2:28Gamers are dead, and this is called the gamers are Dead articles. Now,
- 2:31there was stuff building up to this before, because nothing happens in isolation.
- 2:36But I'm trying to at least put down one sort of hard point where
- 2:39a bunch of people started to take notice of a problem that was already festering,
- 2:45not just in that industry, which is games journalism, not just in
- 2:49the games industry itself, but in our entire culture in the West period.
- 2:53Okay, And of that or from that on Twitter was this hashtag called gamer
- 3:00gate, and it was you know, it was used by whoever could use
- 3:07the hashtag. But like the people who were really talking about it were people
- 3:10who were, to put it lightly, they were they well, at the
- 3:15very least, they said, there is a problem with corruption, payola,
- 3:21and by extension, ethics in games journalism. Right, What we're going to
- 3:25say, what the underlying factor was was there was a scandal involving collusion between
- 3:34a game developer and a game media outlet. Just that, that's it.
- 3:42It was just one one yeah, one reviewer and one developer yes, and
- 3:47there was an undisclosed relationship that would have influenced the reviewer's opinion. And this
- 3:57ignited the tinder of frustration with games media that gamers have had for a long
- 4:03time. All Right, And the details of what the specific scandal are irrelevant,
- 4:11really irrelevant. The problem was this long standing tradition of gas lighting gamers
- 4:17about and so it just ignited, ignited this this fire. The the hashtag
- 4:25started. I'm not clear on the exact sequence of events. The hashtag gamer
- 4:30gate started because gamers were getting involved and calling this stuff out, and there
- 4:35was some stuff that involved with UH forums having these discussions taken down over and
- 4:43over and over again, I believe and h and it's just ignited things further.
- 4:48They took to Twitter, took to the hashtag, started talking about this,
- 4:53and then I believe the gamer gate. The gamers are not don't have
- 4:57to be your audience stuff. Yeah, the Game of our Dead articles,
- 5:00right, Yeah, there's just like throwing gasoline on the fire. And again,
- 5:04this all started with the media scandal, like ethics and journalism scandal,
- 5:10and of course we would we had been talking about this kind of entry into
- 5:18entry into specifically men's hobbies. I mean there is Honestly, ironically, since
- 5:25we've gone through this, I've also seen entryism into women's hobbies too, And
- 5:31you know, women can't like nice things either. It's not as bad because
- 5:34women are more equipped to fight back, but men's hobbies really take the brunt
- 5:39of it. They're like, uh, whereas women's hobbies are policed. Men's
- 5:43hobbies are almost set to be destroyed. And I mean gaming is dominated by
- 5:48men, not not what are those those mobile games? But yeah, but
- 5:56but like the games that these people are interested in tears down like the big
- 6:00not even yeah, a vehicle for their message, which is essentially apparently it's
- 6:09starting to really feel like just basically white men are bad, and then that's
- 6:14the message. Yeah. But the funny thing is that they say white men
- 6:17are bad, but every male, every the males of every group are the
- 6:21white men of their group. You yeah, yeah, no, it's true,
- 6:25but I'm saying it starts No, it's true, but it starts with
- 6:29white men. Because if you can get your foot in the door and say
- 6:30white men are bad and people go, oh yeah, that sounds about right,
- 6:33then it's easy to move from that to Latino men are bad, Asian
- 6:36men are bad, and black men are bad. It's it's like it's all
- 6:41yeah, and gay men are bad and exactly, it's it's just about we
- 6:44don't know, we don't transmit. Yeah, but but that is where like
- 6:49that, that's how they get their foot in the door. So if you
- 6:51stop them at you know, white men are bad, if you could stop
- 6:56them there, then the other stuff doesn't happen. So that's why I think,
- 7:00well, yeah, I mean it's true that they end up treating all
- 7:01men the same, but that's how they get their foot in the door,
- 7:04because the white men are the people you are most allowed to discriminate against,
- 7:11insult, you know, even just demonize outright. So as long as people
- 7:15allow that, then everything else will will come down from you. Yeah,
- 7:19as soon as you set up that one tent pole, then you set up
- 7:23but Hispanic men are the white men of Hispanic Yeah, well, and black
- 7:27men are the white men of black people, and gay men or the white
- 7:30men of gay So did you just set up the other tent poles? And
- 7:33you have a gigantic tent that's just labeled men and so mastering women and also
- 7:40anybody who doesn't agree with feminism, let's let's face it, and all of
- 7:44the intersectional aspects of feminism. And then and then you have a civil war
- 7:48outside the tent between the women who don't agree with the intersectional feminism that includes
- 7:55trans people and the women who do you know it just it turns into quite
- 8:00an interesting mess, shall we say. But it didn't really start with that
- 8:03the entry is of the Okay, we got to get into your hobby and
- 8:07we got to police it for the dread influence of the white male men of
- 8:13of of harassment, you know, so we have more women are taken care
- 8:18of or are appropriately uh comfortable in your environment. And and then they set
- 8:24up all of the overarching police like the policing structure that they set themselves like.
- 8:35And when I say they there is a specific group that this is applying
- 8:39to, it's feminists. They get into space, they tell them we have
- 8:43to control this space to make it comfortable for women. Nobody wants to make
- 8:48a space uncomfortable for women. So they see the territory and this is just
- 8:52another iteration. Gunnorgate was just another another iteration of this. We need to
- 8:58get into this space, we need to change it to appeal to a complete
- 9:01the people. Who does you know the audience of games? It's not gamers,
- 9:07because the gamers and I'm guessing that that article, which I cannot remember
- 9:11off the top of my head anymore, probably singled out white men as not
- 9:16really being synonymous with gamers and not being the audience for games. Yes,
- 9:20well that yes they do. It's white men aren't do not have to be
- 9:24your audience, or alternatively, we need to preach to them what they should
- 9:31know about the world and what their moral schema should be. And also you
- 9:37put us in power and will we'll make this space inclusive to all of the
- 9:41minorities, and women are being excluded from it. It's like, this is
- 9:43what they do in order to and you know what we even calling them feminists
- 9:48and it's cultural authoritarians. This is what they do. They use any narrative.
- 9:54I mean, if we hadset an obsession with drummers turning into green blobs,
- 9:58that that would be the group of people that they advocate for to be
- 10:01like, oh, we think of the drummers who or green blobs. We
- 10:05need to take care of them, we need to protect them. They do
- 10:09it so they gain power over the space. They can control it and manipulate
- 10:13it to whatever ends that they want. And then it's also very lucrative to
- 10:18present groups of people as victims of these spaces because people then give them money
- 10:22to protect those groups of people. So, for example, in this in
- 10:28this instance, we're talking about a basically a company that gets paid money to
- 10:37for sensitivity in games or to make sure that people are included in games,
- 10:41so they get money to control the culture for the victim groups that they supportedly
- 10:48advocate for. And that's I think really the ultimate goal is to get that
- 10:54money, that consultancy money to control and money, and that's I mean,
- 11:00this is a story is old of time. Feminism can start with games and
- 11:05feminism, like I want a better word for it than that, because it
- 11:09really is cultural authoritarianism. But it seems like it's almost synonymous with feminism at
- 11:15the point, because it feminism is the most effective method of employing this power,
- 11:20because because we love women and we presume that they need our care.
- 11:28On top of the women are weak and in case and need to be constantly
- 11:33taken care of and protected from the harsh, harsh gaming wins of the world.
- 11:37But you know this is this is the gaming is not the first thing.
- 11:41In fact, there are a lot of for there are a lot of
- 11:43previous things, and we talked about that on several shows we did before gamer
- 11:50Gate started, about how entryism has targeted all kinds of male hobbies in the
- 11:56past. I think that maybe the first instance might be in the sixteen hundreds
- 12:01with male coffee houses and there's always this push to control and almost put like
- 12:11male interests, male bonding, male socialization and activities in opposition to the interests
- 12:20of women and then say, well, the interests of women have to win
- 12:24out, so we got to control and moderate this stuff, you know.
- 12:26And another example would probably be prohibition, you know, and other stuff that's
- 12:33not coming to me at the top of my head, but those are two
- 12:35good examples. Yeah, men's clubs and like you know, boys clubs,
- 12:41like the boy Scouts, like everything everything that boys find themselves are men find
- 12:46themselves. They get infiltrated by these people. And what these people do,
- 12:50it's it's yeah, well they just they just what they do is they come
- 12:54into a space and then in order to control the space, because that's what
- 12:58they ultimately want to do. First they come into a space and they call
- 13:01it sexist or racist or homophobic or all of those things, and they continue
- 13:07to do that until they control it. And then once they control it,
- 13:09they destroy it and then they move on to the next thing. It's like
- 13:11it's cancer, it's literally cancer, and they don't care about that because they're
- 13:16they're logic, they're iconoclasts. Ultimately, you know, they they want to
- 13:22destroy the beautiful, and when something is outside of their space they do they
- 13:26do like this is what this sweet baby thing is about. And I don't
- 13:30mean beautiful like in a you know, like a sexual way or a romantic
- 13:33way. I mean beautiful in an artistic way, like there is such a
- 13:35thing as beauty and appeal and Games is art. That was one of the
- 13:41shows we did where we had like a debate about it. Games is art,
- 13:46just like film and music and television and visual arts and comic books and
- 13:50graphic novels. And guess what they're in all of those spaces too, doing
- 13:56the same shit. Yeah, and writing that's right and there, and they're
- 14:00in all those spaces and they're demanding control or they'll call you racists and sexist.
- 14:05It's like a mob shakedown by women mostly and the men who support them
- 14:11in every single part of our culture. And they do it and they do
- 14:16it until they control it, and then they destroy it and then they just
- 14:18move on to the next thing because they ultimately they didn't really care about it.
- 14:22They just hate that it exists. It seems they're they're all about iconoclassy.
- 14:26That's what I think it is. I mean, I would say it's
- 14:31about control and money. I mean, I'm sure there is an element of
- 14:35well, okay, i'll put it this first, I put it I'll put
- 14:39it this way. Yeah, in a way, but I'll put it this
- 14:39way. Okay. So I just to quickly give you a general idea of
- 14:46one of the events that led to where we are now, which is essentially
- 14:50gamer Gate two what people are calling it. But I just think it's a
- 14:54continuation of what the culture war itself is. Let me let me just bring
- 14:58this back to the original gamer Gate. So essentially, one of the things
- 15:03that was happening is the media was caping and like running interference for this activity
- 15:13behind the scenes. Remember that mm all the collusion was coming in. So
- 15:20the media pref friend pushing forward that was subpar, but pushed this particular narrative
- 15:26and granted the cultural authoritarians more. I guess turf in in the in the
- 15:33space, in the in the art space of gaming. So that was that
- 15:39was to bring it back to where the media scandal came in. That's where
- 15:43it came in. It was just before you get into specifically what we're talking
- 15:48about today, I just want to add one more thing. I think that
- 15:54this like this urge that women have to control the space and conty control the
- 16:00resource distribution of a space, or control a resource and control the distribution of
- 16:06resources. I mean, if you think about it, it makes some sense
- 16:10because you know, you get men coming in with the mammoth and the women
- 16:12are like, okay, we're going to butcher it and divide it up to
- 16:15the various tribes members based on need, you know. So there's there's a
- 16:21sense to it. It's just that when it goes completely bonkers and there's absolutely
- 16:27no control on it, this is what happens. Okay, So go ahead,
- 16:33Brian, I just wanted to Yeah, no, it's okay, it's
- 16:36funny. It's funny that makes sense in context. Yeah. No, Well,
- 16:41I think it's it is an instinct that has a purpose, but I
- 16:45think it's being misused. And maybe that has to do with the fact that
- 16:48we live in the first world and there's like so many comforts that you know,
- 16:52I don't know, maybe it turns these women into these women into busy
- 16:56bodies. I don't think this is all women. I don't think even might
- 17:00not even be most women, but it is a certain group of women.
- 17:03So but before I So I guess what I what I wanted to add on
- 17:07to what you were saying about the collusion is that it's funny because the games
- 17:12journals colluded to try to convince us that there was no collusion, like they
- 17:18like they did the thing that they were accused of in order to try to
- 17:22like you know, turn people away or distract people away from what the gamers
- 17:27were attuned to. And because that, I mean, gamers are essentially like
- 17:32professional autists. Like they didn't they didn't let that shit go and as well,
- 17:37you shouldn't have. But now we have it happening again today. So
- 17:41what and this is I just want to say that I was right, Like
- 17:45I just want to point I'm just saying I was right the entire time.
- 17:48So there have been ever since Gamergate was sort of like abandoned by a lot
- 17:52of people, like they stopped using the hashtag as much, and and they
- 17:56were like getting they thought that we were just going to get back to regular
- 18:00life. And we went through the phase of Kakistan and the phase of the
- 18:06skeptic community and all of that, and everyone thought that that was like you
- 18:11know, different sort of branches or whatever. I was still saying that the
- 18:17true goals of gamergate were never accomplished because what there was a divide within gamergate
- 18:22itself or the people who used the hashtag the most and talk the most online,
- 18:27and that was the people who thought, if we just get the ethics
- 18:30problem solved, that'll be the end of it. And the people like me
- 18:33that were like that will not solve the problem because the ideological possession of the
- 18:38people is the problem. So no matter, it doesn't matter if you get
- 18:42them to do that, because that's a symptom right like people who are ideologically
- 18:49possessed by this worldview of you know, feminism. I guess, for lack
- 18:55of a better word, they're not going there. They're going to be unethically
- 19:00because to them, the ends justifies the means. They're just gonna be more
- 19:04careful about it. They're just gonna be more clever about it. And in
- 19:07fact, this is what ended up happening. I remember sometime after gamergay ended,
- 19:12but before today, I want to say, it was like twenty seventeen,
- 19:15twenty eighteen, I saw that Anita Sarkisian had gotten a room named after
- 19:22her. I think it was at Google offices, and there was a photo
- 19:26of her pointing at it with a smile interface saying look, I'm so honored.
- 19:29Right, And bear in mind, before that, she and Zoe Quinn
- 19:33had appeared in front of the United Nations to make a statement about online harassment
- 19:37and that something had to be done. So this was like a shadow.
- 19:40There was a shadow of censorship and control looming over us like the whole time.
- 19:45And of course this had nothing to do with games journalism. So the
- 19:49people who are only concerned with ethics, they just threw up their hands or
- 19:52they didn't look into it anymore. And I was warning against this, and
- 19:56I said, if Anita is getting her name put on a door meeting room,
- 20:00that means that she is talking to the big wigs, like she's talking
- 20:03to very powerful and influential people, and I bet she will be working jobs
- 20:08in the space of game development. So it was one thing. And I'm
- 20:12only using Anita as an example because I think that again, she is a
- 20:15symptom, not the problem. It's one thing. If she's making videos on
- 20:22YouTube with ridiculous feminist critiques like intersectional bell hook style feminist critiques of video games,
- 20:29that because she just wants to criticize them. Like and it is to
- 20:33get a sense of power and control over them. That's one thing. But
- 20:36when she's actually talking like she's got the ear of the directors of franchises that
- 20:41have been enjoyed by gamers for years and years, that's a completely different problem.
- 20:47Because the thing is if she and this is the way that a lot
- 20:49of these people operate, if they can't get you to change the way you
- 20:53view your games so that you will demand change, she will simply go to
- 20:59the next highest like whatever. It's always top down, so sa Gouda whoever,
- 21:03the guy in charge of, you know, designing the games and designing
- 21:07the direction, and then she will try to convince them because they believe.
- 21:11And it makes sense if you can convince one really powerful person of your point
- 21:15of view, one person who has tremendous influence, then you don't have to
- 21:19convince millions of consumers or customers. Right. So this is and this is
- 21:25exactly what happened. Because there was a there was a game that I absolutely
- 21:30adored called The Last of Us, and I'm gonna use this as my primary
- 21:33example. It was a father daughter story in a post apocalyptic world. It
- 21:37was very good. The game was fun, to play. It had everything,
- 21:41and it even had like like seriously decent gameplay. There was there was
- 21:45multiplayer and everything. Right, it was kind of a complete package. I
- 21:49believe it won Game of the Year, and they had a couple of really
- 21:53like powerful writers on it. Amy Amy Hennig is a great writer. I
- 21:57believe that's her name. I apologize for that wrong. She was also she
- 22:00also and it was a woman, not that it matters, but she also
- 22:03wrote the story for the Legacy of Kine games, which are also really good
- 22:08and have a really good story, and the Uncharted games, which I also
- 22:11enjoy as kind of popcorn flick style games. And Neil Druckman was like he
- 22:18was working on the project with her, and she left the company for whatever
- 22:22reason after that, I believe, and he was the main guy behind well
- 22:27not only Uncharted Part four, which was weaker than the others, but also
- 22:33the Last of Us part two, and the last was Part two was extremely
- 22:37like divisive, right, and I said, well, of course this is
- 22:41gonna happen. And so again gamer game hadn't happened yet. Nobody was talking
- 22:45about sweet Baby and these consulting firms or anything like that. But I was
- 22:48like This is clearly the influence of people who hate video games and especially hate
- 22:55the gamers themselves. They literally did they kind of undid all of the good
- 23:00faith that was built in the first game with that game. In my opinion,
- 23:03now some people still liked it. I think it was because they're just
- 23:04consumers and they're just like, I just want my new thing. But it
- 23:08really wasn't like as good. It didn't even have any of the extra any
- 23:12of the other sort of like you know, play modes, like the game
- 23:17modes like multiplayer, didn't even have that. It was just a story,
- 23:18and it wasn't a good story to boot. And so then I learned,
- 23:22and I know this is going long, but I want to explain why I'm
- 23:26saying all this. I saw Neil Druckman, the guy who was the director
- 23:30behind the Last of Us Part two, He did a talk at a conference,
- 23:34and he specifically did a talk about the woman who influenced his entire worldview
- 23:41on gaming, or at least was the person that he considered to be the
- 23:45most valuable asset in his storytelling, and that was Anita Sarkisian. And he
- 23:52even used the fact that she claimed to have been harassed and given death threats
- 23:56and you know, rape threats and all these other things. He used that
- 23:59as like to further bolster his commitment to working with her. So it only
- 24:04the thing is is that he Yeah, it was. It was so they
- 24:11were establishing their war chest, their credentials to get in these positions of influence.
- 24:15Yes, continue, sorry, yeah, so no, it's okay,
- 24:19go ahead. No, Well, if you're not ready to finish, you
- 24:23just keep going. Oh I shouldn't use the F word, sorry, guys.
- 24:26Otherwise I should do the things right. Yeah, let's okay. So
- 24:30I'm gonna pause it there. I'm just giving you a little bit of background
- 24:34that this this thing we're about to get into is old, and I'm going
- 24:38to explain how. And then we have this article the Mary Sue. So
- 24:42the gamers are dead. Articles are coming, they are coming, and I
- 24:45already I told you this is going to happen. But do the things first
- 24:49and then I have like a super chow and then we'll get into it.
- 24:52Well also will be before we go too far. Do you think you want
- 24:56to play some of the clips from way back when, ten years ago before
- 25:00gaming? Oh yeah, we were talking about here on honey, Badger Radio
- 25:04for all of those who think that gamer Gate made us or something. A
- 25:11year, you know, actually months before gamer Gate started we were talking about
- 25:15this process. Well actually yeah, I think I think, uh no,
- 25:21we definitely it was like months before gamer Gate started. But I even remember.
- 25:26I don't know how old it is. But Karen made a video on
- 25:29her channel, girl writes what responding to Anita's videos, So like this is
- 25:34this is like when Anita was making videos. Is kind of when we started
- 25:41talking. I wasn't even with you guys at the time. I didn't join
- 25:44up until a little bit later I saw her. We knew the writing was
- 25:47on the wall. We knew operanda here, which is take over the space,
- 25:52turn it into a money making and virtue signaling, you know, like
- 25:59like virul is take over a cell and turn the cell membrane into a factory
- 26:03to manufacture more viruses. Take over the industry, turn it into a factory
- 26:08to manufacture more mind virus and give us money. And we knew this because
- 26:14we've seen this like this, this is something, like I said, it's
- 26:18happened with other pastimes that men have, And I think it's just that men's
- 26:22pastimes are more vulnerable than women's because women can tell other women to fuck off
- 26:26and what are they gonna do? Yeah, but men really really can't,
- 26:30honestly. And so we've seen this with men's pastimes in the past, and
- 26:36then the men's rights movement has experienced the same thing. We were the first
- 26:41thing in the chasm, ycause we are the counter argument. I mean,
- 26:45I know people are like, wow, can't you be friends with a feminists?
- 26:49All right, here's why it's not possible. It's because men's issues are
- 26:55the counter argument to the central premise of feminism that men. Yes, it's
- 27:00just as simple as that, because the counter argument that men oppress women is
- 27:04that the situation for men is worse than the situation for women. And what
- 27:08are men's issues but evidence of that? Okay, So we are their counter
- 27:15argument, which is why we're the first one in the hole while they were
- 27:18constructing their war chest, because they had to get rid of us because otherwise
- 27:23they wouldn't have their weapon to take over communities. And they also did it
- 27:30with the women's shelters. Believable. I know that sounds astounding, but they
- 27:33did. And Aaron Pizzy warned people about this, that they were taking over
- 27:38women's shelters. They were distorting the evidence, which means when you distort the
- 27:45evidence of a social issue, that means you had do not care about victims
- 27:48of that social issue, because you can't solve anything with distorted evidence. All
- 27:52they cared about is constructing a sales pitch for their takeover, for making money,
- 27:59excuse me, for making money, taking over and turning the system into
- 28:03another mind virus. So they this is this is over and over and over
- 28:07again. You see it now. You see it in gaming, and like
- 28:11when we saw Anita Sarkisian, we're like, okay, here we go again
- 28:15this gaming, you know, because we can we know what she's doing.
- 28:21She's stetting up a threat narrative around the culture in order to it's like it's
- 28:25like a pirate you know. Uh, put the boarding plank out, you
- 28:30know, that's that's what this is. This is what you know. You
- 28:33can see her in her pirate ship coming over there. You see the Jolly
- 28:38Roger up there, Yeah, the Jollie Roger up there, and you like
- 28:42Jolly Roger with hoop ear rings. Yep, exactly, all right, so
- 28:48you you uh uh oh right, I have to do the things, Okay,
- 28:51So guys, if you are enjoying our content, you want to make
- 28:55sure we can continue to do this because we have continued now for over ten
- 29:00years, and I don't want to stop because I think that we're the ones
- 29:03that are sort of predicting stuff, honestly, and I think that's you know,
- 29:07if you want to I know it's a little spoilery, but if you
- 29:08want to know where we're going next, you might want to listen to us,
- 29:11and you might want to enjoy our content and make sure we make more
- 29:15of it, so you can do so at feed the Badger dot com slash
- 29:18support. Since we're I've started up our monthly fundraiser again with the first goal,
- 29:22which is to make me not lose my mind with worry about being able
- 29:27to fund HPR. So the first goal just essentially fills in the the shortfall
- 29:36with the subscriptions because a few people had to They didn't leave, they're still
- 29:40subscribers, but they had to reduce because of personal situation and you know,
- 29:44the economic But you guys can help me out make sure that you know I
- 29:48don't lose my mind Feed the Badger dot com slash support. I apologize we
- 29:52missed the Wednesday show. I know we sometimes do that, but this time
- 29:56we did it because I had a tooth extra action and so I might have
- 30:02to stop talking at some point because it's actually really uncomfortable. So apologies for
- 30:07that. Uh also really really you know, personal entreaty, personal request.
- 30:17You know, it's actually pretty costly, the dental stuff, So I'd really
- 30:19appreciate it if we got this. The funds in this month helps us all
- 30:25out. So feed the Badger dot com slash support to do that, And
- 30:27if you want to send us a message at any point during the show,
- 30:30you can do so it Feed the Badger dot com slash just the tip.
- 30:33Please send us your thoughts, tell us we're not screaming to the void.
- 30:36Say hey, yeah you did predict that, honey Badger Radio go you guys.
- 30:41Whow Yeah, that was great, It was good. It was good
- 30:42to know. It was good to get a heads up that the Jolly Roger
- 30:45was coming over the frickin' horizon towards the gaming industry. So anyway, if
- 30:49you want to send a message like that, feed the Badger dot com slash
- 30:52just the tip. We get the full benefit of the funds that you send,
- 30:56and you get the full benefit of not sending them through YouTube's Twitter or
- 31:00seed or no, sorry, YouTube's comment seed. I seeve I conflated comment
- 31:07with Twitter. Did you see that? That was? Uh oh, yeah,
- 31:11I didn't. I didn't quite understand. I didn't quite follow. No,
- 31:15No, I yeah, I kind of missed it a little bit.
- 31:15Okay, do you want me to play? Okay, so ten years ago
- 31:19we had this video called ten years ago to the day, right, It
- 31:26doesn't have a date, but it was close. It was like two weeks,
- 31:30two weeks like it was I think February two weeks. So, yeah,
- 31:33February twentieth, we have this honey Badger radio Anita will save us from
- 31:37our sins and twenty fourteen. Yes, so we knew about this and we
- 31:45were talking about this and so like to basically like, you know, sort
- 31:51of send it home. I guess what I'm saying is that I wouldn't say
- 31:55Gamorgate lost because a lot of people were talking about whether or not they want
- 31:57or lost. But I think that they stopped fighting because they thought the fight
- 32:01was over and it wasn't. And that's why we're in this position now.
- 32:06So I'll play a little bit of this. This is Alison, this is
- 32:08you, and I'm not I'm not responsible for the production, so I didn't
- 32:14do this. So if the sound is bad, it's not my fault.
- 32:20I don't think we can we don't we have to pause anything once again.
- 32:31Today's topic this part of the show is going to be Anita can save us
- 32:37from our sin? Yep, Anita say? And then the call in number
- 32:43is one three, one zero three eight eight nine seven nine. So if
- 32:47you want to share with a story of how Anita came into your life,
- 32:52me move up a little bit, please do call in because we want to
- 32:57hear from you and get an award for a game developers. Wasn't that reduced
- 33:02game developers down to it's It was really bad problem within the industry that they're
- 33:10pandering a lot to like just to be so politically correct when I've found a
- 33:19lot of stuff a dreaming gaming is they wouldn't be so politically correct, and
- 33:22they they do something different. But now it's almost in a way poisoned.
- 33:29I guess about of dead air. Who Who's who's running this uh clown operation?
- 33:40I'm joking. Oh, it looks like we may have lost our host.
- 33:50No, I lose you I was just hiding. I was hiding.
- 33:52I wasn't hiding. Oh you were distracted or the brain and syphilis or something.
- 34:00But so could you repeat your last sentence because I'm having trouble. You're
- 34:05quite muffled cast at all. Oh, I talk very quietly. Sorry,
- 34:09Just get a little closer than Mike and talk a little louder. Don't do
- 34:14that unless I start eating my phone. But anyways, okay, don't do
- 34:20that. Well, that was a caller. Okay, let me stage is
- 34:22in here too. Saves Gerard, don't you guys? Remember be so politically
- 34:28incorrect, they wouldn't hander to certain demographics. But now you shouldn't be getting
- 34:32more and more poisoned by political correctness. And well, sometimes it can be
- 34:37good. It can be good in the same way as cheesecake is good.
- 34:40You know, it's good to indulge in a cheesecake once in a while,
- 34:44But christ, if you eat it all the time, it's just not good
- 34:46for you. Mm hmm. Is political correctness ever good for you? I
- 34:52mean, theoretically, is there a situation in which it's good? Can you
- 34:55think of one? Well, if you're gonna burn it off later with more
- 35:00politically incorrectness. So exercise in a way. Oh, I see, so
- 35:04it's sort of like resistance training. You do a little bit of political correctness
- 35:07so you can be more in politically incorrect. Later, political correctness was that?
- 35:22What? What was that? Me being edgy? You think? So,
- 35:28I don't know, I will I yeah, I don't know. I
- 35:30think I think you were correctness resistance training. Yes, so you could be
- 35:37more politically incorrect. That's what we used to call it, guys. It
- 35:39wasn't even social justice warriorism. What is it now? Woke? It's going
- 35:44to be something new, all the same thing. It's just cultural authoritarianism.
- 35:49I get to dictate the terms of the cultural landscape and you don't because reasons
- 35:54usually because I'm a victim of something, and the fact that they're making victims
- 36:00out of the people that they're dictating to is never considered in this equation of
- 36:05victim. Hud, Yeah, she doesn't you get Yeah, let's see go
- 36:09for a little bit more. Yeah. So I don't really have a lot
- 36:15of sympathy for it. I think people know when they're being me being mean,
- 36:22and you should maybe not be mean, but sometimes being mean can be
- 36:25fun. So I don't know where you draw the line, but political correctness
- 36:29just seems like bullying to me. I don't I haven't seen a situation in
- 36:34which you can anything. But maybe I could be wrong. Maybe maybe Hannah
- 36:39can explain to me a situation. So I don't know, Hannah political correctness.
- 36:50Honestly, I think political correctness in the stated sentiments behind it, where
- 36:54you kind of accuse everybody else of being sexist or racist or any other ist
- 37:00you can think of, is more projection than anything. It's the idea of
- 37:05policing language as a means of controlling people and using accusations of of of ill
- 37:13intent, of malice really where malice hasn't necessarily been displayed. And it's not
- 37:21to confuse political correctness here with ordinary human consideration for other people, like obviously
- 37:30if you know yeah, because I mean, if you know that there that
- 37:34a word is a slur against a group of people, then it's shitty of
- 37:38you to use that word. And everybody knows that. I don't think there's
- 37:42anybody, at least not in the first world, that is ignorant of the
- 37:46fact that you Although I don't think it should be illegal, and you can
- 37:52call me a spick in the comments if you want to, I'll be fine.
- 37:54I'll make it. I won't bleed out. Using a slur is a
- 37:59shitty thing to do. People who do it or are are doing it,
- 38:01you know, because they're careless of other people, are their means. But
- 38:05the idea that you can't talk at all without offending people is really fake.
- 38:12It's not so much an active consideration such as as refraining from using terms that
- 38:20are known slurs would be an active consideration, as more of an active control.
- 38:27Yeah, I would definitely agree with us. It's definitely an active control.
- 38:32But I remember the link that someone said to me, Oh god,
- 38:39about the game industry's response to Anita and just post for some somebody who was
- 38:45questioning Anita and he got banned from this game forum. Probably someone will chime
- 38:51in with the exact particulars of this, but it was like I was reading
- 38:53this is post after post after post White Night ring about how the exact same
- 39:01situation for men and women is different when it happens to women because women,
- 39:09I don't know, women, I guess just can't handle the trash talk.
- 39:13They just can't handle dealing with this kind of a situation where people are not
- 39:17being coollected with each other because why why can't women handle that? Like why
- 39:24I just want to pause and read super some super Child's really quick because they're
- 39:29going through my chat but you can see that, like it's we were having
- 39:34similar conversations ten years ago about this. So mister O three h three because
- 39:38it is five bucks and says, on this International Women's Day, I managed
- 39:42to piss off feminist trad cons and weaves, performing a hat trick like a
- 39:45true gamer. I'm doing my part. I'm doing my part too. And
- 39:52then I got another super chow from Be Bad Sad for ten to I always
- 39:55think you'd be Bad Sad and says I always find it fun to listen to
- 39:59Forgot in parts Lost of Yourself. However, cringey, I guess depending context
- 40:04of when and how it can be, how it can be kind of embarrassing.
- 40:09Uh yeah, I mean I hate listening to my own voice. I'm
- 40:13pretty sure that all of you guys hate listen to your own voice. But
- 40:15I'm not on this so it's okay. But if you watch the airplay documentary
- 40:20that I watch on Honey Badger Arcade, and also I had the uh the
- 40:24guy who created the documentary on my show. I was like a fireside chat
- 40:29two weeks ago or something. We are in that as well, and I
- 40:32would recommend you get to check it out if you want to really get some
- 40:37retro vibes going else. Did you turn off your camera for the Scipio and
- 40:40you're also muted by the way, are you there? Yes, I did
- 40:46turn off my camera for Scipio. Do you wanna do you want to leave
- 40:52it off? Well, just let me know because I have a I have
- 40:54a frame floating without a picture in it. That's yeah. So yeah,
- 41:00I actually was on the video as well, but I don't know if anybody
- 41:02wants. I'm pretty sure Scipio is the bigger draw. No, it's it's
- 41:07yeah, it's well, the reason why I brought it up is we did
- 41:10identify Anita and Anita's tactics before this all. Yes, yes, And actually
- 41:16I think that was the point where she was doing that grift where she poked
- 41:22the hornet's nest and then got a whole bunch of comments, negative comments,
- 41:25and I actually looked through them all I'm like, most of this, most
- 41:30of it pretty much is just well actually, and I'm like, so harassment
- 41:36is just people being really autistic or criticizing you. That's harassment, Is it
- 41:44okay? Because it was not like most of it was definitely not rape threats
- 41:49or death threats, and no, it's criticism. It was just people saying
- 41:53you're wrong about this. It's like Thunderfoot remember thunderfoots videos. They were like
- 41:59huh, they were a bit like long in the tooth and like repeated himself
- 42:01a lot, but they were He was just being almost like fucking autistically,
- 42:09you know, precise in his criticism without slinging insults. And she still called
- 42:14him, you know, I don't know, like a terrible human being that's
- 42:17going to kill her and rape the corpse or something. So it doesn't it
- 42:23doesn't really matter. It's what I'm saying. It doesn't really matter. How
- 42:27what is operanda? You measured you are a person or a group or community
- 42:31as a threat and then you gain power over them to see that over and
- 42:37over and over again. And the problem that this is this is very anti
- 42:43social behavior. It's sociopathic behavior. Like women who aren't sociopaths don't usually engage
- 42:47in this behavior. When there are some women who aren't sociopaths, maybe they
- 42:52have mental health issues that engage in this behavior, you know, but still
- 42:57it is totally antisocial and it's incredibly destructive. And the reason why I wanted
- 43:02to bring this up is actually it was it was funny to see how much
- 43:06of an edge lord I was back then. But you seem to have chilled
- 43:12the fuck out in your uh, in your old age oatage. Yeah,
- 43:16I don't know if I haven't. No, I don't think. No,
- 43:20I think I think it's about the same. It's just the the audio is
- 43:22different, and maybe you're you're it is a lot better, isn't it.
- 43:28I can hear it myself. You guys who complain about our technical difficulties,
- 43:31we have gotten significantly better over time, sound like much? But you did
- 43:37you just hear that? Yeah? There? Or maybe you we're just moving
- 43:40in line with technology, Like we're still on the bottom edge of it.
- 43:46We're on the edge of technology, but the technology is getting so much better.
- 43:52Yeah, our mics are like five years old. Maybe we'll start looking
- 43:55like CNN or something. I honestly, if we do, I think you
- 43:58guys should turn and run. Oh no, please, Yeah, but you
- 44:04could skip you back on. I was just whatever you want to do.
- 44:07If you want. I mean, otherwise, if because he's going to be
- 44:09moving around a lot, it might not be worth it. I'll play a
- 44:13little bit more of this because I think Sage gets in there and says a
- 44:15few things, and then we can like get into the story in the article
- 44:21so that that we can't see women as being capable of dealing with this kind
- 44:27of stuff. Do I go ahead of Campbell? This is safe? Go
- 44:35ahead. Oh By the way, guys, I just want you to know
- 44:39that the way that we structured our shows is we were all like with a
- 44:44tin can and a string like like there was we had absolutely no indication of
- 44:51who was talking when at all. Yeah, nothing I was like, I
- 44:57I R C chat or something was that you guys were doing? Or was
- 45:00that skype through like a game chat type thing, like one of those old
- 45:06game chat m like not Discord, but like one of the older ones that
- 45:10are Oh yeah, definitely an old one. We've gone through a lot of
- 45:14different technology, you know, all along, Yeah, this is what we're
- 45:16doing now actually is one of the best. Although I did listen to it
- 45:20again and I think it's uh, I think it's still sort of fades people
- 45:24back and forth a little which I don't know. You mean the the social
- 45:30stream, no, the video ninja. Yeah, I mean it was made
- 45:34by like one guy during COVID, so I think, and it's free.
- 45:38I mean, considering all that, I think it's pretty darn good. Yeah,
- 45:42and it seems to have functionality that Zoom lacks. I don't know how
- 45:45that works. Yeah, it was even Okay, go ahead. Yeah,
- 45:50we probably shouldn't continue to talk about the evolution of our technology, but yeah,
- 45:54think it's good to listen to this stuff to know where we were and
- 45:58our thinking. Yeah, really, it hasn't changed that much because the problem
- 46:02remains. There is nothing to stop this, and yep, the only thing
- 46:07that will stop it is receipts, please, ma'am. That's mm hmmmm hmm.
- 46:15Ok okay, just a reminder we are talking about gamer Gate two in
- 46:20case, because I do see some new faces here I dropped but okay,
- 46:22so just a little real quick. I'm in a couple of discords that are
- 46:28relevant. So one of them is the discord for Sweet Baby Inc. Detected,
- 46:32which I dropped the link in, and the other one is the discord
- 46:36belonging to one of the more vocal voices on YouTube. Kyel, who I
- 46:40absolutely adore. I think his videos are amazing, and so I'm in his
- 46:46discord and the Sweet Baby Inc Detected and I shared the link there because I
- 46:50figured they're both pretty much right like right in the thick of this. And
- 46:54it's sort of like, you know, their long boats have their boats have
- 47:00landed on the beach and they're getting off the boats and like where are we?
- 47:04And we're over here waving to them, like, look, we've been
- 47:07doing this for ten years. We're going to catch you guys up in case
- 47:09you're new. So just I'm basically just rallying the troops. Guys, just
- 47:15rallying the troops. Okay, let's listen to some more. And this is
- 47:17Sage Gerard, who, by the way, I talked to on the phone
- 47:21like about a year ago. He's doing good, so I'm happy for him.
- 47:27I like Sage. Yeah. But and now, the same I wanted
- 47:30to add into that was that when it comes to this weird culture with the
- 47:34white nightery that you're discussing, one thing that I really really get worried about
- 47:38is when they continue making these suggestions that in some way two demographics just can't
- 47:45relate on an issue, and when they take this notion that that two demographics
- 47:51can't relate whatsoever, they use this as an excuse to can continue shutting down
- 47:55opinions and making sure that in order for you to actually have some sort of
- 48:00qualification in any discussion or even to deliver criticism of any kind, you have
- 48:05to have experience in some scope that somebody else, you know, extipulates.
- 48:12So basically, you're you're you're you're given this, You're given this box that
- 48:17you're never allowed you're never allowed to get in, but you're told if you
- 48:21want to have any authority or any credibility in this discussion, you have to
- 48:24be in the box and experience something will never let you experience and will never
- 48:28let you relate to. So it's just it's just a bunch of shit,
- 48:31and it's it kind of ties into these a lot of the same kind of
- 48:37standpoint theory uh knowledge is social construct construct stuff, and how that can kind
- 48:44of get bent out of shape. But I really don't think that this is
- 48:49a in any way a healthy discussion, and it really has to be noted
- 48:52that the control of rhetoric has to stop. So there you go, Alison,
- 49:01there was a guest. I don't know who that was. Was it
- 49:04a guest that called in? I don't I wasn't there, and say Gerard
- 49:07and Hannah, we're all talking about this ten years ago yep. Now,
- 49:14essentially about political correctness, and we were discussing because that's what it was called.
- 49:19That was the that was the tool for taking over communities at that time.
- 49:22Mm hmm correctness, which became social justice warriorism, which became woke.
- 49:28I don't know why he has to keep changing it's always the same because they
- 49:30have to. They have to rebrand it. Well, it gets rebranded over
- 49:34time because people use different terminology. But it's it's all like this critical consciousness
- 49:38stuff, right, Yeah, it's cultural authoritarianism saying that you have to adhere
- 49:45to this set of beliefs. And in this case, I don't think they're
- 49:50very functional because they're basically just a caste system that decides who gets to talk,
- 49:53who gets to be catered to, who's concerns, and emotionality reigns supreme
- 49:58in terms of setting the tone of the of the community or the the industry
- 50:05or whatever. And it's like that's that is not actually fair. It's I
- 50:09mean, in my opinion, ethical value are superior to that for the simple
- 50:15reason is they refocus it on the individual's actions, not things that the individual
- 50:22can't change, like what they were born as. Hmkay, So I mean
- 50:25we got away from this, guys, We got away from judging people by
- 50:30what they were born as. That's called slavery. Yes, systems like that
- 50:35are are systems, cast systems and slavery systems, and we we should not
- 50:40go back to those systems. That's what cultural authoritarianism creates, and that's there's
- 50:45no good in that, none whatsoever. Mm hmm all right, So let's
- 50:52uh okay, so let me get let me get you, yeah, let
- 50:54me get you caught up on things. So so we got a re emergence
- 51:01of it today are not to day today, but like in the current year.
- 51:06In the current year, what happened was there was a game that was
- 51:14I guess, you know, long awaited. Let me see here, I
- 51:16got a super child. I should like find a timeline of this sweet baby
- 51:22inc thing, but I did get a super chat here. So I'm just
- 51:24readiabally quick eth thunder, says Brian. Yes, I remember well the armies
- 51:29of Kekistan, how high their banners flew. I remember how the feminist rage
- 51:32quit and the paugers thought evil had been vanquished forever, and it was not.
- 51:37So. Yes, that's right, they just they just re emerge from
- 51:43the crip eternal vigilance. It's true, it's true. So there was this
- 51:52game that recently released called Suicide Squad killed the Justice League. Everyone was very
- 51:55excited for it. Now, there were rumblings of a problem the gaming industry
- 52:00in the last decade. There were games that came out that were disappointments from
- 52:06one when one way or another. I mentioned the last most part two.
- 52:08I wouldn't say it was a watershed thing, but for me, that was
- 52:12a huge deal. But the the gaming public was still a little divided on
- 52:17it. There were people who were trying to essentially like make excuses for the
- 52:22choices that were made in the story. And I was saying, you know,
- 52:25though, this is all this is, This is not art. This
- 52:29is ugly, and it's ugly on purpose. And I was seeing this in
- 52:34other things, like, for example, some people might disagree with me on
- 52:37this, but I saw rumblings of this in BioShock Infinite. I saw this
- 52:42in Dishonored Part two. I saw this in some of the later Assassin's Creed
- 52:46games, Horizon Zero, Dawn, et cetera. And I'm sure that you
- 52:52guys can come up with some other examples that precede, you know, the
- 52:57or pre date the the just This League Killed the Justice League game that was
- 53:02made by rock Setti. But the reason why this game is important is because
- 53:07rock Setti, as a developer, historically had produced some of gaming's best games,
- 53:14essentially the Batman Arkham games, and there is specifically everyone who loves those
- 53:22games loves Batman Arkham Asylum, which is the first game, and Batman Arkham
- 53:25City, which is the second game. Batman Arkham Knight. I liked it,
- 53:30some people they like it, but you know, it just wasn't quite
- 53:32as strong as the previous ones. And then you have like the Batman the
- 53:38prequel one, I can't remember the name of it, Batman Arkham Origins,
- 53:43I think, and then those so those were kind of on the decline.
- 53:45But but those couple were very strong and you could tell, and this is
- 53:50the thing that's important Sark and lindsay about this that they were labors of love,
- 53:54like that the people who are making it really loved the lore and the
- 53:59setting and the characters that they were adapting. They want to do something as
- 54:02true to you know, the comics or whatever parts of the comics they liked
- 54:07as possible. They even got a lot of the old voice actors to,
- 54:12like, you know, from the animated series, to sort of reprise their
- 54:15roles in these games. So you could tell it was like a fan made
- 54:20It was a game made for fans by fans, okay, And of course
- 54:23these were also happened to be the majority of men. And then we we
- 54:30got what's going on? What are you doing? Are you? Are you
- 54:34fighting with somebody? What's happening? Oh? Sorry, I yeah, I
- 54:37knock the mute off, and then I punched the met mike. Oh okay,
- 54:43okay, like non intentionally. I wasn't like, oh my god,
- 54:45no, it's this takeover gaming. It's just a punch. No, no,
- 54:52I know, I know. I just thought maybe something fell, but
- 54:54no, so I'm good, okay, okay, nothing so so Rocks Rock
- 55:00SETTI makes this other game, Gotham Knights. I think it was the same
- 55:04devs. I'm not sure. It's not a great game, but but it
- 55:07wasn't like people weren't complaining about it. Like they didn't find it to be
- 55:12like ham fishing a message in It just wasn't a strong game. And then
- 55:16Suicide Squad Killed the Justice League comes out, and not only is it inferior
- 55:22to everything rock SETI ever did before, but the way that it treats the
- 55:28characters is almost completely the opposite of what rock Setti had done in the past.
- 55:35And so some people were wondering, why is this happening? And and
- 55:38then there was there were other games that were doing things that were really strange
- 55:42choices, like Starfield, you know, which was this very long awaited science
- 55:47fiction I don't know, open world thing, maybe an MMO, I'm not
- 55:52really sure. I never played it. But because I don't really care for
- 55:54Bethesda games, but I know that there are people who really liked them,
- 55:59and they were very excited for Starfield, and there are there have always been
- 56:04games that have been disappointments. Okay, this is not this is not what
- 56:07we're saying. But there are people that will try to tell you, oh,
- 56:10well, sometimes games are just bad. But you don't have to be
- 56:14a bigot. That's not the problem. Because like when Fallout seventy six,
- 56:17which I know Jonathan likes, but when that first launched, people hated it,
- 56:22and so it didn't do well. But nobody said, oh, it's
- 56:24because you know, they weren't cramming this message crap into it. It just
- 56:28it just wasn't a strong game. It wasn't like a good fit for the
- 56:31series or whatever it was that Fallout seventy six. Joldan is my husband,
- 56:38and he really liked Fallout seventy six. But the thing is that he's he
- 56:43is his own creature. Yeah, well that's what I'm saying. Like some
- 56:47people are gonna like, hat it wasn't he because they, I don't know,
- 56:51fixing the problems and getting a game that was yeah in some manner.
- 57:00Again, my point is there's a difference between equality of something suffering because maybe
- 57:07you know, it just doesn't there's too many bugs, or the mechanics are
- 57:09bad, or or the budget is whatever. Like there there are legitimate criticisms,
- 57:16and any game of any budget size can obviously fail at those things.
- 57:21But the problem with Suicide Squad was that it was not only bad, but
- 57:27it was also a preachy mess and you know, and it was also like
- 57:32it didn't even pretend to like what it was doing. It was like it
- 57:37was like these people were being punished by writing this story for a game that
- 57:43they hated, and they did it in the most bitter and spiteful way possible.
- 57:50And and but basically the fans who had like given rock Steady all of
- 57:54this money and time, you know, and and uh and their good faith
- 58:00had been essentially turned on. And then when people you know, uh criticized
- 58:06they there were excuses made. They would say things like, well, it's
- 58:08games as a service, and games of the service is like, you know,
- 58:12generally a bad idea for whatever reason. Yet other games as a service,
- 58:15like Hell Divers too are extremely popular, but they also are not preachy
- 58:21messes. They're actually I think Hell Divers two is another example of a game
- 58:23that is clearly a labor of love, and people can tell when there's a
- 58:29labor of love involved and they will generally be more drawn to it. I
- 58:32think there was a game RoboCop Rogue City, and I don't even know if
- 58:37it was like I never played it, but people liked it, and it
- 58:40was kind of a small team of people who were fans of RoboCop made this
- 58:44game, and so but it wasn't like a big triple A or Heaven Forbid,
- 58:49Quadruple A release. It was a small, you know, studio that
- 58:52just was they just really like RoboCop anyway, So people stren't looking and they
- 58:58found that there was this was this pattern. They started to see that there
- 59:01was this consulting firm that was involved with a lot of these products that were
- 59:08failing, like Starfield, Horizon Zero, everything. It was Horizon, the
- 59:15second one I'm not sure, I don't remember, and Suicide Squad, among
- 59:17others. And it was called Sweet Baby. And so some people, myself
- 59:22included, we looked at their website because I already knew that these people,
- 59:29these these cultural tyrants or cultural vandals, they wanted to get into the creation
- 59:37of content so that they can try to engineer and control culture. And so
- 59:42I was very and that's why I said, Anita's involved in the development of
- 59:45games. That's why she no longer makes videos about them. And so people
- 59:49found out about this company called Sweet Baby, and a guy named guy named
- 59:55I gotta get his name, he's on my cabrutus, he's on my friends
- 59:59list Cabrutis decided to create a group kind of like a curated group, a
- 1:00:07curated list on Steam called Sweet Baby Inc. Detected, which essentially lists every
- 1:00:13game that Sweet Baby Inc. Is involved in, And he didn't do That's
- 1:00:17all it was. He was just like, I'm going to make a list,
- 1:00:20and people that worked at the company tried to get the group removed that
- 1:00:25tried to take them down. They lost their minds okay, and of course
- 1:00:31they were actually it was in danger of going down. But from what I
- 1:00:35understand last I heard, the group has been allowed to stay up on Steam
- 1:00:39and Cabrutis has since made a discord that and by the way, the group
- 1:00:44on Steam is over two hundred thousand members now. So it in like a
- 1:00:46couple of days, so much has changed. So Carbrudis has been on multiple
- 1:00:52streams. He was on side Scrollers, he was on the quartering today.
- 1:00:54Earlier today he's been all over and Grums, who was basically like this guy
- 1:01:00that was very very like involved with gamer Gay back in the day, has
- 1:01:04just been all over Twitter posting constantly talking about all of the like essentially unethical
- 1:01:09things that are going on. But it's not just in the journalism, it's
- 1:01:14in the actual like production of games. So you have an industry full of
- 1:01:20people that are influencing the production of art, which is games that hate the
- 1:01:27audience or don't believe the audience is important. And this is where in short,
- 1:01:34you know, in short, this is kind of where we are right
- 1:01:37now. And now we're starting to get to the current day. Yes,
- 1:01:40and now we're getting to the point where the inevitable gamers are not your audience.
- 1:01:45Articles are going to come out and I have this. So there was
- 1:01:49a couple. The first one out the door was Kotaku and a woman whose
- 1:01:57name I can't remember, but it doesn't matter. She was in the discord
- 1:02:02yet yesterday or the day before, and she was sort of hanging around,
- 1:02:06lurking in the discord talking to people and she wanted to like she went in
- 1:02:10there under the guys of hey, so what are you guys doing here?
- 1:02:14You know, kind of like when we did the ICMI and there were these
- 1:02:17journalists from GQ magazine that came and they were like, we just want to
- 1:02:22do some interviews. And then there was the other time we were in the
- 1:02:23UK. Yeah, And then there was the other time where we were in
- 1:02:27the UK and that woman from Democracy Now or whatever it was called, wanted
- 1:02:32to do You remember that she never released her interview with me. She never
- 1:02:38did, probably because she couldn't use it. Yeah, because I was talking
- 1:02:44and I got her to agree with some stuff. So she's like, no,
- 1:02:46I'm never going to release this or well she didn't say that, but
- 1:02:49she never did. When I asked her, I said, no, don't
- 1:02:51release it. I'm like, okay, yeah, it was a cool conversation.
- 1:02:55You mean, essentially you captured a conversation between two people who were discussing
- 1:03:01a complex issue and it was just too reasonable to release of course, yeah,
- 1:03:07you know, okay to keep. Well. So anyway, so she
- 1:03:14was in the discord and Cabrutus was saying to everyone, Hey, you know,
- 1:03:17there's somebody from Kataki here. If they tell you who they were,
- 1:03:21Supposedly, he said, I heard there's someone here. Can you please let
- 1:03:25me know, you know, if you learn who it is, send me
- 1:03:29a DM so that I can, like, maybe they I can talk to
- 1:03:30them. Because he's still he's still kind of doing this in good faith,
- 1:03:34like, oh, they want to know what we're about, and I'll share
- 1:03:37the info, like not really thinking you know what's going to happen. Of
- 1:03:40course, yes, I know, I know. It's okay, Yeah,
- 1:03:45I know, but she never ended up talking to him anyways. So what
- 1:03:51she did was she basically just like hung out in there, talked to a
- 1:03:53couple of people, went back to her website, went to Kotaku and wrote
- 1:03:59an article, an opinion piece about it that was just all crap. It
- 1:04:03was all lies and it was all presumptions, and she was saying, you
- 1:04:08know, they're they're not. Actually well, actually the Mary Sue is gonna
- 1:04:12basically give us the same story. We could just look at the Marry Sue
- 1:04:15article. So on the screen here is a Mary Sue article. It was
- 1:04:16also one by PC gamer, which also came out. We give hits too,
- 1:04:21you know, yeah, I don't know which one. I mean,
- 1:04:26I think the Marry Sue. We have a little history with them, so
- 1:04:29we could just do the Marry Sue. So yeah, and it is,
- 1:04:31and it is. We do have a history with Mary's to the Marry Sue,
- 1:04:34and it is gamer gay related because that's what got us in trouble.
- 1:04:39Well, I mean that's part of it. That's part of it. So
- 1:04:42you know, there is that. Okay, let me just I'll get into
- 1:04:46it, but let me just make sure I don't miss any super chows or
- 1:04:48anything. Do you do you said you have the fundraiser open again, Yes,
- 1:04:54I do, and I do have some thank yous, like I just
- 1:04:56to get oh good, get into that in a bit later because I got
- 1:04:59to actually look at my computer to do that, which means you can't see
- 1:05:02the oh dogo. Okay, yeah, so I'll wait for a little bit
- 1:05:09maybe. Uh, I don't know how how how long are we gonna go?
- 1:05:14Well, I mean whenever you want to stop. I mean I gotta
- 1:05:15pick Lindsay up later. So we don't want to go super well, okay,
- 1:05:17fair enough, all right, but you know, let's say in about
- 1:05:19fifteen minutes, I will turn it off, the doggo cam off, and
- 1:05:23I will do our our thank yous. I do have one. I know
- 1:05:27that. I don't know why, but but uh, Scipio was super like
- 1:05:30it just occurred to me because blurry I metaphor about how Anita Sarkesian is like
- 1:05:38a pirate coming across, you know, with the jolly roger up. Yeah,
- 1:05:41you know, we're like, I don't know people who are trying to
- 1:05:46stop the pirates, you know, like we are the ones who are trying
- 1:05:50to trying to warn people. Those are pirates. Yeah, and we're the
- 1:05:57ones who actually have the equipment to oppose the pirates. Except for whatever reason,
- 1:06:01people would prefer to be boarded by pirates then talk to us. Well,
- 1:06:08they'll be like, oh, but but they're probably well meaning pirates,
- 1:06:12right, yeah. But the women, I'm like, no, they're they're
- 1:06:16using that to get That's how they get on board. They're like science.
- 1:06:19The sirens, you know, like, don't but the singing is so pretty.
- 1:06:27I just thought like, because that's sort of like, there is only
- 1:06:30one there is only one weapon that you can use against this narrative, the
- 1:06:38truth that gives it context, this narrative that women are being destroyed by communities.
- 1:06:43Well, you know where did this start? It started with women are
- 1:06:45being oppressed by society. Okay, well, and then they just filter down
- 1:06:49to the smaller and smaller groups in society that they want to take over.
- 1:06:54And the way that you oppose that is you have to get right into the
- 1:06:58central conjecture and say no, that's not correct. And I'll say it right
- 1:07:02here. Women are not oppressed by men, full stop. They are oppressed.
- 1:07:08They are not, and can I got the receipts for that. But
- 1:07:13the main thing is that for anybody who believes that, how do you falsify
- 1:07:17it? Like, if it is a belief that describes reality, that means
- 1:07:23it's in the realm of science. That means, how do you falsify it?
- 1:07:28A conjecture? Causal conjecture in science has to be falsifiable to be considered
- 1:07:34scientific. And you can't just say, well, there are some things in
- 1:07:39science you can't falsify. Yeah, when we're talking about things that are so
- 1:07:45abstract, Yeah, maybe maybe that's the case, but they still have utility.
- 1:07:50You can't just randomly invent causal relationships that are unfalsifiable and then say,
- 1:07:58oh, but this is okay because these you know, we don't know if
- 1:08:01if all metals have a melting point or something like that. No, we
- 1:08:06can't. We can't falsify evolution or something. Well, no, some things
- 1:08:12are incredibly difficult to falsify in science. That doesn't mean we stop trying,
- 1:08:16okay, because you haven't even started with men oppressed women, you haven't even
- 1:08:20started, Like, yeah, I just want to point it out. That
- 1:08:26is the weapon that they use. And until we get a critical mass of
- 1:08:30people who know sail that weapon, we will always be vulnerable to these pirates.
- 1:08:36H always. Okay, that's just my little rant, and take it
- 1:08:42away, Brian, listen, Oh didn't you want to do some thank yous?
- 1:08:45No, no, I'll do that in a bit o. Okay,
- 1:08:47okay, let's get in the article. Okay, this is from the Mary
- 1:08:49Sue. It is entitled sweet Baby Inc. Is under attack due to conservative
- 1:08:55conspiracy theories. Because this is how this I mean, immediately, let's poison
- 1:08:59well, right, like, what what does that even mean? Conservative conspiracy
- 1:09:02theories? But let's get into it. Sweet Baby Inc. Has come under
- 1:09:08attack as a Steam group with thousands of members has called for boycotts of games
- 1:09:13the company has worked on. The company has not done anything wrong though,
- 1:09:16and is merely a victim of conservative conspiracy theories and manufactured controversy. Okay,
- 1:09:24can we unpack this a little bit, and and what we did was we
- 1:09:28were absolutely right to do it, yes, and eating it too. We
- 1:09:32totally did this thing. We're absolutely right to do it. And telling anybody
- 1:09:36that we did this thing that we were absolutely right to do. So we
- 1:09:40did do it, but we were right to do it. Telling anybody that
- 1:09:42we did it is a conspiracy theory. Even though we're saying right now that
- 1:09:45we did do it, but we were absolutely right to do it. But
- 1:09:47you saying that we did it is a conspiracy theory. Yes, of course.
- 1:09:54If if you go to Sweet Baby, Inc's website, they tell you
- 1:09:59what they do. That's how people found out. So we knew that,
- 1:10:02and you know they they do. You remember, it is another thing that
- 1:10:05we predicted or we knew about, like years ago. We did a story
- 1:10:10on the New Show about sensitivity readers, very long, like a couple of
- 1:10:15years back, Okay, and I said, or at least whoever was talking
- 1:10:19about the time, but I know I was among them that this was going
- 1:10:21to be used to change literature, to essentially an unravel literature itself. And
- 1:10:30not only have they done that. So like, if you're a new writer,
- 1:10:33like Allison is a writer. If you're a new writer and you want
- 1:10:36a book released and you're getting ready to put something out and you are going
- 1:10:41through a publishing company and that publishing company uses sensitivity readers, then your book
- 1:10:46is fucked. That's just like whatever your vision was, whatever, unless it
- 1:10:50like falls in line with their extremely narrow and ever shrinking set of goalposts.
- 1:10:57Yeah, you're not going to be able to release your book in the form
- 1:11:00that you wanted, if at all. Oh, it's it gets worse.
- 1:11:03There are books that have been sensitivity read and the author ran a foul like
- 1:11:11they somebody figured out one something to start bullying her and it's usually her now
- 1:11:16about and she's canceled even though she went through a sensitivity reader found something that
- 1:11:25was just maybe slightly off, they focused on it, swarmed her, destroyed
- 1:11:30her career, totally tanked her career. There was one woman whose career was
- 1:11:34tanked over the phrase chocolate skin. That's it. She can't write anymore.
- 1:11:42You can't describe it. Yeah, she she can't write anymore, or the
- 1:11:45writing that she done is now almost invisible because she has been canceled. And
- 1:11:53I'm like watching this and I'm like this is this is a community infested with
- 1:11:57the desire to destroy Yes, this has nothing to do exactly all of the
- 1:12:02all of the brown people who are going to be destroyed by the phrase chocolate
- 1:12:06skin, Like it doesn't is creamy thighs also racist? Am I as am
- 1:12:15I supposed to be destroyed by that phrase? Okay, like really, but
- 1:12:21all of the people it's not about that. It is about finding something to
- 1:12:27destroy someone else's success. Yes, a part and the joy of doing that,
- 1:12:31joy of destruction, that's what it's about. Ye. With these people,
- 1:12:38with the ringleaders, at least, I'm fairly certain that this is not
- 1:12:42motivated. And now we're finding studies coming out that yes, dark triad personalities
- 1:12:47are attracted to overt virtue signaling. So is it that far an estimation or
- 1:12:55a jump to say that they get attracted to this like blood in the water,
- 1:13:00and then they destroy something full of self righteousness like you. What more
- 1:13:06wonderful thing is? There's this quote that really impacted me. There's nothing more
- 1:13:12seductive than being able to destroy another person self righteously. Yeah, with every
- 1:13:19belief that you're doing the right thing. Yeah, that's deductive. That is.
- 1:13:26It's it's intoxicating. It's like a drug. And I imagine that dark
- 1:13:29tied people are well, we know that they are attracted to online virtue signaling
- 1:13:32or just virtue signaling, but I'm sure they're also attracted to using virtue signal
- 1:13:38and the singling to destroy stuff. And we we have to we have to
- 1:13:43look at this. It's part of being human and we need to figure out
- 1:13:45a way to stop it. And as I said, right now, they're
- 1:13:49using that narrative that that narrative that we all seem to buy into, or
- 1:13:54most people seem to buy into, that constantly pits women as victims of everything.
- 1:14:00For a dark, tried person interested in virtue singling, interested in a
- 1:14:03self righteous destruction of something, it's easy for them to go in and say,
- 1:14:12this place harms women. I'm the one who can stop it, and
- 1:14:15I need to be able to destroy anybody in it. Yep, and Nago
- 1:14:20is about to go nuts. That's a great and sweet Baby employs sensitivity readers
- 1:14:29like that's that. It's on their website, so they are on your writing
- 1:14:33team. So if you're designing a game, because that's what they want to
- 1:14:36be involved in. And I know why too, because their interests in video
- 1:14:42games comes from the notion that they're They believe that because games are interactive and
- 1:14:46they're not like films, which you, like, you are passive participants in,
- 1:14:51right, you just watch the movie unfold or read a book. Because
- 1:14:56they are video games, they are interactive, and the interactive layer for them
- 1:15:00is like, oh, there is this extra level of immersion, and the
- 1:15:04immersion is something that is more useful for us to essentially like you know,
- 1:15:12propagandas with and so they do. And that's and that's also like why they're
- 1:15:16so big on virtual reality too, because they think that virtual reality is even
- 1:15:21more immersive, which means it's there's more opportunity for propaganda. I mean,
- 1:15:28you know, so this is like why they're in They're they're involved. Yeah,
- 1:15:30and and the the if you're wondering, because like there have been a
- 1:15:36lot of people making defenses, like the Mary Sue who have come forward and
- 1:15:41said they're not actually that involved or they're not doing what you're saying they're doing
- 1:15:45when they're literally in the credits of the games as not just like on the
- 1:15:49writing team or which they are the majority of the writers in many of these
- 1:15:54examples, but they're also like the lead you know, authors or whatever it
- 1:15:59is that will be at the top, like the people who make the big
- 1:16:02decisions about the stories. So this is not small, they're big, And
- 1:16:06it only begs the question, why are you all lying to us about what
- 1:16:11they're doing when we can see what they're doing, And it's why does it
- 1:16:15bother you that we know aren't you proud of what you're doing. No,
- 1:16:20they don't want you to know what they're doing. That's that's what it is,
- 1:16:24right. They don't want you to say, like, the thing is
- 1:16:26that even though they will acknowledge the thing is being done, they don't want
- 1:16:30anyone to say that it's wrong. The conspiracy. It's not about saying that
- 1:16:36it's being done, because they'll say it's being done. They say right here
- 1:16:40that it's being done. That's not the problem. The problem is that we're
- 1:16:43saying it's being done and it's bad. So they're using the word conspiracy in
- 1:16:47the most it's like complete distortion of language. They're not even using it.
- 1:16:51They're just basically saying, well, conspiracy equals bad, therefore this equals bad.
- 1:16:57They don't even not even using the proper definition of conspiracy. They're just
- 1:17:00using the emotional load that it carries. Yeah, they're basically starting from the
- 1:17:05assumption, like, you know, you're not supposed to care. It's not
- 1:17:11that big a deal, right, But if you do, then it's a
- 1:17:14problem bad. Yeah, you're definitely not supposed to consider it bad, right
- 1:17:17right. Okay, So so I did want to do the thank you Mike.
- 1:17:21Okay, I'll go Okay, so I, oh, by the way,
- 1:17:25guys, give my doggo a little cheer in the chat. He's not
- 1:17:30he's not on the camera right now, but go ahead. No, I
- 1:17:32know. The reason why I want to do that is because he was a
- 1:17:36really good boy. The the uh, the per later guy came and he
- 1:17:44did not lose his shit. Oh okay, yeah he was actually he was
- 1:17:49actually pretty he kept it together. He's just like, oh, there's a
- 1:17:57dude coming and he's knocking at the door. Okay, And that's great because
- 1:18:02that is not to lose his ship when the pator guy comes. So,
- 1:18:06you know, a little little hand for Scipio. He's reached a milestone.
- 1:18:12Given Pats in the chat. Given Pats, and I'll fill the screen with
- 1:18:15pad emojis. We've we've sort of slowed down on the superchouse. So go
- 1:18:19to feed the Badger dot com slash just the tip and tend us you're you
- 1:18:25know, your very good thoughts, so that we can respond to it.
- 1:18:28That we know that you're you know, we're thinking things and you're thinking things,
- 1:18:31and we're all thinking we're having a bump. So feed the Badger dot
- 1:18:35Com slash just the tip to do that and I want to thank Richard Bierre
- 1:18:41for putting the first one into the fundraiser for the month. So thank you,
- 1:18:45Richard Bierre. I hope more people join him. Hint hint, twist
- 1:18:50twist Is that a hint? Yeah? So a little hint. Yeah,
- 1:18:55please join him. Take a take a weight off of my worried mind at
- 1:19:00feed the Badger dot calm slash support. So get those super chows in as
- 1:19:03well, all right, So send us a message feed the badger dot colm
- 1:19:05slash, just the tip and send us some support and feed the badger dot
- 1:19:10calm slash support and do it, do it now, all right? And
- 1:19:14also Skippy, Yeah I got, I got some some people are doing that.
- 1:19:19Yeah, okay. So another thing I want to say about this,
- 1:19:24how about this, send some cheers to Skippy through the superchow and feed the
- 1:19:28badger dot com slashes. You can do that too, and I think you
- 1:19:30can put you can put emojis in there as well. Yeah, it it
- 1:19:34comes back, I'll give them some liver treats if you guys put some some
- 1:19:38money in the in the hat for us, all right? All right?
- 1:19:42So so okay, a couple of things about this paragraph. The the a
- 1:19:48sweet Baby. Sweet Baby Inc. Has come under attack as a Steam group
- 1:19:54with thousands of members has called for boycotts of games the company has worked on.
- 1:19:58So how is people deciding what to do with their money and attack on
- 1:20:02Sweet Baby Inc. I mean it isn't obviously, but these people don't believe
- 1:20:08in private property, Like they don't believe that you own your money and that
- 1:20:11you could make an educated decision about whether or not you want to give money
- 1:20:15to people who hate you, and they don't like that. It's like Hannah
- 1:20:19Cox's concern over the complement economy and that men, you know, be discerning
- 1:20:25how they deliver their compliments. It's like, well, you know, you
- 1:20:28don't really know. Men aren't obligated to give you compliments, So why do
- 1:20:32you think you have an opinion on what a man's decision like where and when
- 1:20:38a man decides to give you compliments? This is the mentality. This is
- 1:20:42the difference in mentality. Women believe that they are owed things in general.
- 1:20:46I'm not saying all women. Yeah, I think they are owned things because
- 1:20:50they need and you know this isn't it. This is actually just a neutral
- 1:20:56statement because you know, the the the parent that's pre primarily tasked with taking
- 1:21:00care of the very vulnerable human larva, you know, sort of has to
- 1:21:05be a little bit unpleasable perhaps, you know, and see things in terms
- 1:21:12of needs. That's the way women are. So if Hannah Cox has a
- 1:21:16need, then you have to provide that for her. That is the justification.
- 1:21:23You aren't entitled to decide. And men are like, but what if
- 1:21:26I don't think she's earned it? Because men think in terms of merit,
- 1:21:30which you know, it can also have its negatives too, because sometimes people
- 1:21:33need a leg up, they need to stop and actually have someone give a
- 1:21:38shit about them, just genuinely before they get traction again. You know.
- 1:21:43So a purely merit focused vision of the world is also a little bit of
- 1:21:47a problem. In my opinion, I think it's just a balance. So
- 1:21:51but men are like, well, I don't feel like you've earned the compliment,
- 1:21:55and women like Hanna Coox are likes, but I need them. Yeah,
- 1:21:59this is the same thing here. These games have earned my money and
- 1:22:02they're saying, but we need your money in order to well, that's how
- 1:22:05awful you are, so give it, you know, exactly, Yes,
- 1:22:10extre com pirates, because that's who they are yep, yep. And on
- 1:22:13top of that, okay, so there's nothing wrong with calling for a boycott,
- 1:22:18but I don't think that's what people are doing. And even if they
- 1:22:21were, it doesn't matter. Like I could tell you, guys right now,
- 1:22:24boycott Pizza Hut. It's your choice as to whether or not you're gonna
- 1:22:27do it. If you listen to me, just because I said it,
- 1:22:30that says more about you than me, really, But it doesn't matter.
- 1:22:32Like they're they're treating a call for boycotts even though that's not happening because I'm
- 1:22:38in the steam group and I'm in the discord and no one is saying you
- 1:22:42have the boycott. In fact, everyone is in there by choice because they
- 1:22:45are also feeling the same way that I am feeling, which is there's something
- 1:22:49really suspicious going on behind closed doors, and it does the rabbit hole does
- 1:22:55get pretty deep. You guys might have heard of a little company called black
- 1:22:58Rock, you know, which is the probably like the largest company in the
- 1:23:02world that invests billions of dollars into various initiatives, and they have stock all
- 1:23:11over the place, and they are a big reason why Sweet Baby Inc.
- 1:23:15Gets paid, right, They get that ESG money. That's where the money
- 1:23:19comes. It's not from the sales. It's not from us the people,
- 1:23:23the consumers, Like I mean, Sony is offering refunds for Suicide Squad because
- 1:23:29of how bad it is and the fact that without an active community like this,
- 1:23:34a game like that dies. You know, like a game's a game
- 1:23:39that is online as like a part of what it is cannot like remain relevant
- 1:23:45if there is no one online, Like if there's no community, there's no
- 1:23:47game. You know, it's like any mmo, right, Like Alison,
- 1:23:50you're playing Final Fantasy fourteen right now, and it's probably huge because lots of
- 1:23:55people are playing it, but in like ten years, maybe nobody will be
- 1:23:58on there anymore. And that means that the servers will just get shut down
- 1:24:01and now the game is effectively dead because there's no single player or anything.
- 1:24:06Right, So Suicide Squads a community dropped, like it was like very very
- 1:24:15let's say, anticipiably anticipated, And now I think there's like I don't know,
- 1:24:19last time I saw it was like two thousand people are playing it,
- 1:24:21which is like that's dead. That's a dead game. And so and it's
- 1:24:28not even the fault. The sweet Baby detected. It's the fault of the
- 1:24:30game, like the game is shit and it's woke on top of that.
- 1:24:35And I think that the wokeness is an extra bad problem because you feel like
- 1:24:43the time and energy that was invested into cramming all of this like preaching nonsense
- 1:24:47into the game could have instead, like whatever they spent on that could have
- 1:24:53instead been spent on making the game good. But instead they prioritize that shit,
- 1:24:57like so you're getting your message even though the the game itself is a
- 1:25:00turd. So you know, that's another reason why people are not happy.
- 1:25:04And of course they are the consumers for now. We still live in a
- 1:25:10system where people spend their money to buy the products they want and sweet Baby
- 1:25:15and apparently the Mary Sue and other rags don't like that, so go ahead,
- 1:25:24yes, we're gonna say. What am I reading more say? Oh
- 1:25:27yeah, no, no, go ahead a couple of things. But this
- 1:25:29is the first thing. What happens I think is that the reason why these
- 1:25:34people are engaging with this material and creating this material, like the fire in
- 1:25:40them, the passion in them, is actually the message rather than the construction
- 1:25:45of something entertaining or beautiful even truth, to be honest, because there's not
- 1:25:50much truth to the message that they're pushing either or even humanity in my opinion.
- 1:25:56So they're not really motivated by these kind of higher ideals that you'd expect
- 1:26:00from art. Nor are they motivated by the ideals of art itself, which
- 1:26:05are beauty, truth, engagement, entertainment, those kinds of things. So
- 1:26:11what brings them to these subjects and what brings them to this construction of things
- 1:26:16is the message and the passion of their message. But the message itself is
- 1:26:23really it's not It doesn't open people up to truths about human nature. It
- 1:26:28actually closes them down because it is I only want to say religious message,
- 1:26:33because religious messages can be very more positive than this. It is a cult
- 1:26:39message. It is a tribalist, like the most hateful forms of tribalism kind
- 1:26:45of message, a cast message, a message in which people don't understand each
- 1:26:48other, can't understand each other, and need to be put into groups and
- 1:26:53turned into a hierarchy of merit. It's like based on biological factors, so
- 1:26:58not even based on what you earn through your actions, but just based on
- 1:27:03what you were born. You have to be pleased in a hierarchy of merit
- 1:27:08that is incontrovertible, and that's really a human truth. That is the death
- 1:27:14of human truth, is the death of human connection. It's the death of
- 1:27:17understanding yourself. So that is even an artistic message. You know, like
- 1:27:23you could draw something with the crudest stuff, but if it has a heartfelt
- 1:27:28message opens up your mind to understanding what it is to be human. It
- 1:27:30is beautiful in that sense. That's not what they're constructing. That's not what
- 1:27:36brings them to this artistic endeavor. What brings them to it is to be
- 1:27:43able to push their message. And the message itself closes people down, closes
- 1:27:48them off, puts them into a position where they can't their actions don't matter,
- 1:27:55their thoughts don't matter. They occupy a caste system based on their birth
- 1:27:59right that like closes people down. So this' that's that's why the stuff is
- 1:28:03awful. It's soulless and empty because it is soulless and empty, it's usually
- 1:28:12beautiful. It's still soul is is and empty, and it's the ultimate kind
- 1:28:17of I don't know, like not even it's like the ultimate kind of late
- 1:28:23Bronze age temple art. If that makes sense. Like everything's about establishing the
- 1:28:30hierarchy, establishing who rules over you, establishing where and when you're supposed to
- 1:28:34talk, establishing what your personal worth. And on the bottom is everybody who's
- 1:28:41a slave's who's entirely defined by their labor for others. And it's great,
- 1:28:45Yes, it is, okay, it is. It is the the it
- 1:28:53is the message of the ziggurat. M okay. But anyway, so my
- 1:29:00ultimate point is that this because they bring that mindset, they aren't creating beautiful
- 1:29:04art and they aren't things that resonate with people, and they aren't creating things
- 1:29:10that are entertaining at all. That's why it sucks. And it's just going
- 1:29:15to continue to talk more. And the thing is that they when they get
- 1:29:18into a space, they remove this meritocracy, They remove appeal to the audience,
- 1:29:24they remove merit in the work that's being done. They replace it all
- 1:29:29with this ziggurate morality. And they're doing it everywhere, like this dis corruption
- 1:29:36is everywhere, and it's like we're watching this process and this is the process
- 1:29:45quite likely that caused the systems collapse in the Bronze Age. Is this is
- 1:29:51termites in every single bit of lumber in the ship. Eventually, it's just
- 1:29:57going to collapse because because we can't exist without meritocracy. We can't exist without
- 1:30:03the expectation of beauty, of truth, of skill. Yeah, you know,
- 1:30:12of the construction of artistic merit, like, we can't exist without it.
- 1:30:17Yeah, you can make you can make a moral case for beauty.
- 1:30:20Actually, yeah, I think that the beauty is a moral thing. And
- 1:30:26I think these people want to subvert so they don't believe in that stuff vanilla
- 1:30:31syrup. So I want to I want to say something to everybody. Okay,
- 1:30:35I have my dogg O on the screen. He is sadly breferent of
- 1:30:42liver treats and super bereatht thank you, no, thank you, that's all
- 1:30:49right. I want to be corrected fire merit when it comes to pronouncing things,
- 1:30:56all right, So no bereft. He is bereft of liver treats.
- 1:31:00So I want you guys to go over to feed the badger dot com slash
- 1:31:04just the tip and give me a super chow, and I will give him
- 1:31:10a liver treat. I'll give him one litreat at a time per superchow,
- 1:31:14because I don't want him to overdose on liver go do that? Go do
- 1:31:17it now? Feed the Badger dot com slash just the tip. All right,
- 1:31:23let's read some more. So those not well versed in the video game
- 1:31:26industry likely have never heard of Sweet Baby before, even though it has worked
- 1:31:30on games like Spider Man two, which was terrible, God of War Ragnarok,
- 1:31:33which, oh, by the way, I just want to mention really
- 1:31:36quick another prediction I made. I warned David Jaffey, who was the creator
- 1:31:41of God of War. We had him on our show a couple of times,
- 1:31:45and I warned him about this woke shit back then. I mean,
- 1:31:46I didn't call it woke shit back then, but I warned him, and
- 1:31:50they eventually it came for his game franchise, and now they came for him,
- 1:31:56they did, but they also came for his franchise, and now this
- 1:32:00God of War Ragnarok is his legacy. And even he was upset about it
- 1:32:03when it first came, because there was something they did and got to War
- 1:32:06Ragnarok. There's a scene in the game that kind of shits on the games
- 1:32:10that he was directly involved in, like the whole thing that he built,
- 1:32:14and he was not happy about it. He complained and vented on his stream,
- 1:32:19and of course he because he's playing it safe with these these people who
- 1:32:23hate what he does and they kind of hate him deep down. He ended
- 1:32:27up coming out later and basically coping like, oh, well, you know,
- 1:32:30I guess, I guess I don't understand where they're coming from of me.
- 1:32:32I mean, times change, you know, I'm not a bigot,
- 1:32:35you know, And I was like, dude, they did this to you
- 1:32:39and you're still making excuses. You don't have to do that. You don't
- 1:32:43have to do that. You can just you can just not support it.
- 1:32:46Be like, you know what, that's not my game. I'm not that's
- 1:32:48it. Like, I'm not thrilled with what they did. I gave this
- 1:32:53up. They fucked it up, and now it's just dead. Like that's
- 1:32:57like what that is your legacy? Like, dude, this is the thing
- 1:33:00that I see it. I see it as art. Like if I make
- 1:33:04something, you know, and it's mine and I worked on it and people
- 1:33:09like it, and then someone else takes it and they like rot it from
- 1:33:14the inside out, I'm going to be pissed. It doesn't matter. I
- 1:33:17don't care what people think that they might think that that person was right or
- 1:33:20wrong it was, you know, it's it's my work like this is This
- 1:33:25is what I mean when I say they're iconoclasts. They destroy what other people
- 1:33:30have made, and then they stand on the ashes and they and they claim
- 1:33:33to have improved it. And then they if you dare say I actually think
- 1:33:38that you destroyed that thing, they try to make you out to be the
- 1:33:41bad guy. So I'm you know, I'm sad about it because I enjoy
- 1:33:45the old god of war games. But David Jeffy should have fought to protect
- 1:33:48his IP or at least at least if he couldn't legally do anything, he
- 1:33:54should have at least said this is what I think. You guys are wrong,
- 1:33:58This was a bad move or whatever. I thought that was very disrespectful.
- 1:34:01He probably would have gotten more support than he thought, but whatever,
- 1:34:04he let that happen. And then Alan Wake two, which you know I
- 1:34:10heard was garbage, but people are calling it Alan Woke to anyway. So
- 1:34:15those are just some of them. I also have their website up here too.
- 1:34:17This is the Sweet Baby website. But maybe we'll look at it later
- 1:34:20if we have time. However, it fulfills one of the lesser known roles
- 1:34:25in video game development. Rather than being a developer, it serves as a
- 1:34:28consultation firm for other developers when game projects are in various stages of production.
- 1:34:32Baby Sweet, what do you mean, sweet Baby? Can you even remember
- 1:34:36the name of your company that you're reporting on? Written by Ai? Yeah?
- 1:34:42Right? Can you tell us about the But the thing is AI has
- 1:34:45to reference something else, so it must have referenced the Kotaku article maybe,
- 1:34:50and if there was AI that was yeah, yeah, probably all the AI
- 1:34:55all the way down. Okay, yeah, okay, Baby Sweet, will
- 1:34:59come come in and review all the material and essentially ensure it provides a cohesive
- 1:35:03narrative. The company might point out inconsistencies and the game plot are or offer
- 1:35:09tips to further enriched gamers experiences. All bullshit. They are sensitivity readers and
- 1:35:15it's on their website. Let's go to their website really quick. I'm gonna
- 1:35:17show you what they do. Is a narrative development and consultation studio based in
- 1:35:24Montreal. Oh yeah, by the way, Alis, I'm sorry to tell
- 1:35:27you all these people are from Canada. This is all Canadian shit. This
- 1:35:30is all Canadian shit. Our mission is to tell better more empathetic stories,
- 1:35:36not really empathetic empathetic to themselves, because it's all narcissism. While diversifying and
- 1:35:42enriching the video games industry, we aim to make games more engaging, more
- 1:35:45fun, more meaningful, more meaningful, of course, by the feminist definition
- 1:35:49of meaningful, and more inclusive, which means exclusive by definition for everyone,
- 1:35:56because it presumes that the games industry was not inclusive before they came along and
- 1:36:00rescued it from itself. Okay, so this is just like a hint at
- 1:36:09what it is they actually do. All right, so they're lying about that.
- 1:36:14Go ahead, Okay, so we do have a super chow. Oh
- 1:36:18yeah I did. I did nobody nobody. I did see that thing through
- 1:36:21for Skippie though, Come on something. He was such a good boy.
- 1:36:25He deserves a treat. I have him right here. I see him.
- 1:36:29I see him. Yeah he's listening. It's actually really getting into it with
- 1:36:31your rant. He was just a little bit. He was just like,
- 1:36:41yeah, go, Brian, go yeah. JoJo's used to me ranting.
- 1:36:44He just sleeps through it. I'm always ranting at home, doing his own
- 1:36:51little cheer for you. Yeah. Here, Halloween, halle hallow hat hat
- 1:37:00howling. Gee, howling. No, you would think that English isn't my
- 1:37:04first language, but it is howling. Yeah, but you guys say Z
- 1:37:11instead of Z. So who knows. Maybe my brain is like just failing
- 1:37:16to wire properly because I listened to Americans all the time. Yeah, maybe
- 1:37:21we're messing with your brain. Okay, so be bat Sad gave us five
- 1:37:26dollars and fifty dollars. I think there was a bit of support. Thank
- 1:37:30you, and says speaking speaking on owner inspiration teachers taught on teaching as an
- 1:37:35example to explain their methods or God of War? Is that what GW stands
- 1:37:40for taught on teaching? Oh yeah, yeah, yeah that makes sense.
- 1:37:45Thank you for that. Like this is his Brian's right, this is his
- 1:37:49legacy, and he's been it's been shiphun By. Yeah, I mean like
- 1:37:56like they The other thing that he's known for is a game called Twisted Metal,
- 1:38:00which was like this really fun kind of car combat game. Now Jaffe
- 1:38:04is about my age, so he's a generation xer, so I can see
- 1:38:08what it is that he's pulling from his childhood to put into his game ideas
- 1:38:14that make them special. Okay, the people who are doing this are millennials
- 1:38:18and zoomers, okay, And so it's not that that makes them worse for
- 1:38:24it, but I think they are coming from a different place to people who
- 1:38:27created the new God of war games. Now, Twisted Metal was made into
- 1:38:29a TV show that did reasonably well, and I ended up watching the whole
- 1:38:32thing. I thought it was all right. It wasn't as bad as you
- 1:38:35would think it would be. I thought it was pretty good considering. But
- 1:38:40that means that the license might be used in the future to make another game,
- 1:38:45but Jeffee won't be involved. But I bet you, sweet baby Will,
- 1:38:49is he gonna get up? Is that gonna be the final straw,
- 1:38:53because that's the game that kind of put him on the map, was Swisted
- 1:38:55Metal. I think so. I don't know, But again, if he
- 1:38:59doesn't, he doesn't stand up for what he created at the very least again,
- 1:39:03just even if it's just on his little island and he's shouting into the
- 1:39:06world saying I don't like what you guys did with my franchise, and no
- 1:39:11apologies, just just say this is what I think and that's it. But
- 1:39:15he ended up backpedaling and cooking to them, and now they're just gonna like
- 1:39:19he's lost. Basically, he's got nothing. He's got nothing, and he
- 1:39:23doesn't even have what he created, so you know, yeah, it's a
- 1:39:29shame. Okay, Okay, let's let's get Yeah, let's keep going a
- 1:39:33little bit more. It hardly sounds like, oh oh, I read the
- 1:39:38Superchow already. Yeah, it hardly sounds like anything to be enraged about.
- 1:39:43So they're like, they're now they're doing the whole WHI are you mad?
- 1:39:45Like you know, eure upset not me. I'm writing this article. I'm
- 1:39:48clearly bothered, but I'm not as upset as you are. It hardly sounds
- 1:39:54like anything to be enraged about. The company provides a vital function improved games
- 1:39:58behind the scenes, and likely doesn't at the recognition it deserves for its work
- 1:40:01on major games. So basically, we're giving it recognition by creating this Steam
- 1:40:06group. But that's not the recognition we're talking about, right. However,
- 1:40:13angry gamers are currently trying to detect every game associated with Sweet Baby to encourage
- 1:40:17others not to buy it. The reason they believe that sweet Baby is secretly
- 1:40:21poisoning their games with diversity, Again a straw man argument. This is mout
- 1:40:27and Bailey shit like. Games have always had diversity. The problem is is
- 1:40:31that that was never like the sole defining component, and it wasn't there to
- 1:40:36satisfy somebody's narcissism, which is what Sweet Baby does. There's literally games that
- 1:40:44have self inserts from the team at Sweet Baby in it. So imagine being
- 1:40:50okay, go ahead, go ahead, and I'm sorry. There is a
- 1:40:53difference between having diverse characters, which is something that everybody who does art wants
- 1:40:59no offense or art are is art by people who make the same thing over
- 1:41:04and over again, do the same character over and over again, same character,
- 1:41:08same opinion, same looks over and over again. That's crap art,
- 1:41:12right, So diversity is even in art to begin with, because art is
- 1:41:17about exploring absolutely everything about the human condition, every every expression of what it
- 1:41:26is to be human. So diversity is baked right in. There's a difference
- 1:41:30between that and trying to push the ziggurat of diversity. Okay, like this,
- 1:41:40this group is on top, this group is below them. This this
- 1:41:43is a caste system. There's a difference between diversity and turning diversity into a
- 1:41:46caste system. Yeah, that's what they're doing. That's what they're pushing.
- 1:41:53Okay, that's a huge difference between the two. Yeah, and there's a
- 1:41:58truth, a little bit of a truth rapped up in a big lie.
- 1:42:00So the little bit of truth is they'll say something that no one would disagree
- 1:42:03with, right, like, oh, you know, it would be nice
- 1:42:08to have games that have women in them, right or people of color or
- 1:42:12whatever. Nobody's going to disagree with that because that has always existed, Like
- 1:42:16pac Man is yellow, Like there's always been characters of color in video games,
- 1:42:21Like you know, Ms pac Man existed, she was a female character.
- 1:42:27Like this is like Mario is Italian? Does that count? I don't
- 1:42:30know, Like is that still white adjacent? No idea, go ahead.
- 1:42:34The ultimate point that I'm making is it isn't about diversity at all. No,
- 1:42:38it's not. It's not pushing a particular moral framework using diversity. Yes,
- 1:42:45yeah, they're using it to push push the framework. This this kind
- 1:42:50of cast system, which incidentally leaves the court, the gov Corp on top.
- 1:42:57They're on the top of the zigger deciding who gets sacrificed. But that
- 1:43:00is the point, Like that that is ultimately it. It is not about
- 1:43:04diversity, because again, I mean people who are artists. You should be
- 1:43:08proud of this. You've always been diverse in your thinking. You've always been
- 1:43:13wanting to express the most about human nature possible. Like I said, it's
- 1:43:17baked right in. You don't need to change that about art. What they're
- 1:43:23doing is they are using diversity to push conformity, Yes, clients and authoritarianism.
- 1:43:31There's a complete difference between those diversity and for conformity. That is absolutely
- 1:43:36correct. One percent. Uh. I got a super child from Carly Ellison,
- 1:43:44who so thank you. Carly. I know she says for five dollars,
- 1:43:48you are wasting effort on these loser in cell men who don't deserve any
- 1:43:51concern. You should be contributing to those who truly deserve support instead of tho
- 1:43:56these loser gamers who should be doing productive things instead. The only way to
- 1:44:00get these losers to be productive is to take games away from them, to
- 1:44:02force them to actually be productive adults who don't complain about little things? Are
- 1:44:08you thank you? I'll find out who Carly Ellison is. Okay, Carley
- 1:44:14like no offense, but he just went through my website. Are you kidding
- 1:44:18me? This? Oh? Oh oh good? I think it is one
- 1:44:24read the next one. All right, Uh, Richard Bierre says, human,
- 1:44:30give me a liver tree skipio. Oh look did you see? Did
- 1:44:34you see? I did? Excited? All right, are you ready?
- 1:44:38Are you ready? Make sure he can We can see him eating it because
- 1:44:42he's kind of like, oh, the cats come in and take it.
- 1:44:45Here, I'll give one to the cat. That one ended up in Skipio
- 1:44:50too. I think this is this might be a bit of a losing battle
- 1:44:54here. Yeah, the cat came over to me, so I'm giving to
- 1:44:56you a ten. Well, thank you for the five dollars. Uh,
- 1:45:00Harley Ellison and Richard Pierre. Yeah, there we go. I gave the
- 1:45:02cat it's liver treat to sit down. Oh now he knows the liver treats
- 1:45:06are here. Oh so, oh well, I guess that's all the show
- 1:45:15you get. That's all the show you get, folks. Oh, he's
- 1:45:21trying to get the liver treat from the one the cat took. They like
- 1:45:26liver treats, by the way. Oh Jojo likes livers too. Yep,
- 1:45:30there's for some reason livers anything really stinky. I'm sorry, yeah, broth,
- 1:45:38that's like it's it's definitely stinky. It smells like farts. Let's face
- 1:45:43it, okay, it dog just loves it. He's just like, yeah,
- 1:45:46pour that all of it. It's like it's like yeah, yeah,
- 1:45:51okay, all right, uh okay. So it's unclear how sweet Baby got
- 1:45:59on the Far Rights radar. Somehow it did, you know, you know
- 1:46:03the guy and not that it is like not for nothing because I don't think
- 1:46:08this is relevant information. But of course these people always make me have to
- 1:46:12like say these things. The guy who started the discord is from Brazil.
- 1:46:15He's a Brazilian guy. So but anyway, it doesn't matter. These people
- 1:46:20don't care like they I just want to qualify something about what I said about
- 1:46:24Carly Ellison. I'm of course not going to do anything at all and never
- 1:46:29would. Well, I'm just finding it remarkable that this individual is trusting me
- 1:46:34to this level. But you know what, It's fine because I'm trustworthy.
- 1:46:39But I'm just saying that's crazy. I'm actually curious if this is some if
- 1:46:44this has been a long term troll by irregular Yeah, possibly like like quarn
- 1:46:51Strong. Okay, but anyway, yes, we'll get it, get it.
- 1:47:00Let us, let's let us continue. Okay, So the Far Rights
- 1:47:05radar, right, but somehow it did. The company's employees discover, Yeah,
- 1:47:09because these people play video games like it's all they did was a little
- 1:47:14bit of research. Literally, it's in the fucking credit to the game,
- 1:47:17like you can look it up. It's not it's not hidden. The company's
- 1:47:23employees discovered are still active Steam group called sweet Baby Inc. Detected. The
- 1:47:27group currently has over two hundred and ten thousand members based who are trying to
- 1:47:31dis Yeah, it's still active. Even though they tried, they try to
- 1:47:36take it down, but Valve did not did not do it, at least
- 1:47:41not yet. You know, anything, anything can happen, but for now,
- 1:47:45the Steam group still exists two hundred thousand members. The discord still exists,
- 1:47:48something like almost coming up on like fifty thousand members or some crazy number
- 1:47:55on Discord probably the biggest discord I'm in, and I'm in quite a few
- 1:48:00so anyway. Yeah, Still, it's clearly there are people who feel a
- 1:48:04way that are like, you know, interested in this, so they're trying
- 1:48:10to compile a list of every game associated with sweet Baby in any way.
- 1:48:13Well, there's only one way the sweet Baby could be associated, and that
- 1:48:16is by being sensitivity readers and consultants, which means they control the direction your
- 1:48:23game goes. By the way, however, most of its forums and discussions
- 1:48:26have been wiped and locked. The ones that remain up are cryptic discussions,
- 1:48:30such as one titled they are talking about us and another titled I'm gonna have
- 1:48:34to delete all posts for now. In these posts, group members express frustration
- 1:48:40that the media is reporting on them and fear the community will be deleted by
- 1:48:44Steam. No, because they know how you guys act, they know how
- 1:48:47you operate. Okay, can I just okay, I want to apologize for
- 1:48:50my cat. That's the purring sound by the way. Okay, Oh yeah,
- 1:48:56I hear it. Yeah, you hear it. Okay, he is
- 1:49:00discovered that I have the liver treats, and now I won't that I will
- 1:49:02not be rid of him. So okay. The fact that they're going,
- 1:49:13they are attempting to engage in this draconian behavior is exactly why people are afraid
- 1:49:21of them. Yes, right, I'm worried about being talked about by them
- 1:49:27because they know that they have the ability to silence them and their concerns.
- 1:49:32And it's it's amazing to me that like the the the sheer audacity, And
- 1:49:38I have to remind myself that these are probably sociopathic, dark triad personalities.
- 1:49:44So sheer audacity is basically what they run on, which is sort of based
- 1:49:47in a way, if they weren't both so fucking like, if they weren't
- 1:49:55so awful to deal with. But yeah, they are wanting to push a
- 1:50:01message in the medium that these people love. So they really love the artwork
- 1:50:08constructed in this medium. They want to destroy it, make it crap,
- 1:50:14destroy all of the merit like, because it ultimately that's where it's going.
- 1:50:16I remember I talked about how they focus on the passion is the message not
- 1:50:21the actual medium. Yeah, so they don't put that effort in. They
- 1:50:28don't feel like putting the effort into the story, into the art, although
- 1:50:30other people may in order to create a perfect vehicle for that. But he
- 1:50:33comes soul ess, right, So they are going to destroy the medium in
- 1:50:39order to push their message. And the people who loved the medium are saying,
- 1:50:43you guys, we don't want you to do this, because that's what
- 1:50:45they're gonna do. The message is prominent. If they choose between the medium
- 1:50:50and the message, they're going to choose the message, even though some might
- 1:50:54say that the medium is the message, but they will choose the message and
- 1:50:59they will sacrifice everything for that message. Okay, Yeah, the people who
- 1:51:04love the medium are watching the vandals come in, and of course the vandal
- 1:51:11spokes people are like, well, that's just a conspiracy theory. You're just
- 1:51:16a bunch of all right. No, these are people who love the medium.
- 1:51:19They don't want to see it destroyed, and you will destroy it.
- 1:51:24You are going to destroy their temples, you know, Yeah, you're gonna
- 1:51:29you are coming in like the freakin' hun to sack Rome. And then if
- 1:51:34you have the audacity to be like, well, well whoa well, like
- 1:51:38uh uh I can't believe that you you're you're you're treating us like uh,
- 1:51:44like we were sinister, and like yeah, you're sacking Rome, a friend,
- 1:51:46what do you think people are gonna treat you as? Like mm hmm.
- 1:51:51And it's just it's just the audacity of this to actually be pursuing this
- 1:51:59vandalism them and this silencing and this censorship at the same time as they're playing
- 1:52:04the victim. Isn't that like astounding? It's just yeah, and people get
- 1:52:11suckered into this and it's amazing to watch. I'm like, yeah, this
- 1:52:15is this is why we we don't we don't ever get Nivana Nirvana on Earth
- 1:52:18here because you keep getting suckered in by the sociopaths who play the victim as
- 1:52:24they're dismembering you. Like maybe maybe if you're feeling pain, Maybe if you're
- 1:52:31feeling pain, the person causing the pain isn't the victim of you. Yep,
- 1:52:39under it just putting it out there, floating it, you know,
- 1:52:42might be something you could chew over, like the cat is chewing over at
- 1:52:45Livertree. All right, keep going, how about some I know it's okay,
- 1:52:50how about I give you some context. So I'm gonna share this with
- 1:52:59the with the folks at home and you. This is the coldmember. The
- 1:53:04sweet Baby person said that they had vague posts like I'm gonna have to delete
- 1:53:09all posts for now. Well here's the post by Shadow Alex. It says
- 1:53:14I'm gonna have to delete all posts for now. Well, Steam support just
- 1:53:16sent me a message that this group is receiving a lot of reports and might
- 1:53:21get deleted. So to avoid this, I'm just gonna delete all my posts
- 1:53:27because if this group falls the curator page falls as well. I'm sorry guys,
- 1:53:30but for now, no more new post until it's resolved. So basically,
- 1:53:34what they're saying is we should stop talking at all because anything could be
- 1:53:40taken and twisted and used. So they were getting mass reported on the group
- 1:53:46by these whack jobs and they were trying to get the group taken down,
- 1:53:53so that's why they were deleting the post. It's not vague, they're saying
- 1:53:56it right there. Now. What I think the Mary Sue person is suggesting
- 1:54:01is that they have something to hide, you know, like, oh,
- 1:54:04you don't have anything to hide, do you. But that's not really what's
- 1:54:09going on, because they understand how journalists work. They understand that you are
- 1:54:14like going to use your control over language and rhetoric to get people removed,
- 1:54:20and they don't want that to happen. So that's the context on that.
- 1:54:25That's on my Twitter followed me at a Badger arcade. There was something else
- 1:54:30too that I thought was kind of interesting, But the woman who wrote the
- 1:54:35original Kotaku article is like insane. But they did end up going through and
- 1:54:45approving of the group. So anyway, let me read a bit more of
- 1:54:49this. We may not finish this article, but there oh oh, and
- 1:54:53then there's like you know that the Sweet Baby was it? Like there was
- 1:54:57a video of the woman who runs it, and then blaz Kim Belair I
- 1:55:00believe her name is where she is saying that the way that you get your
- 1:55:05games changed the way you want is you have to terrify the developers, terrify
- 1:55:12them, and it's a shakedown. Basically, it's a shakedown that says,
- 1:55:17if you don't do what we want, we're going to destroy you. We're
- 1:55:20going to destroy your reputation. And this is another example of this is that
- 1:55:25Anita Sarkisi and herself when CD Project Read was launching Cyberpunk twenty seventy seven years
- 1:55:30back, I think it was twenty nineteen, she said that CD Project Read
- 1:55:33had to change some stuff otherwise she was going to essentially bring her on as
- 1:55:39a consultant. So hire me or I ruin your company is basically what she
- 1:55:43said. So what were you going to say about that? I was going
- 1:55:45to say that I have discovered that someone was impersonating Carly Ellison or Carly Ellison
- 1:55:53Carly, Oh, it wasn't really Carly Ellison. No, it wasn't really
- 1:55:58Carly Ellison, which I should have realized. I guess, well, it
- 1:56:01does. It does seem. It does seem like a really over the top
- 1:56:06post. And I don't know that Carly would have spent five bucks to send
- 1:56:09us that, So yeah, exactly, it's it feels it doesn't have the
- 1:56:13ring of truth. But yes, that was an impersonation of Carly Ellison,
- 1:56:16well imposter, of course. I guess I'm pretty gullible to have bought into
- 1:56:21it, like Carly Ellison sent sent to her financial information. I should have
- 1:56:29had a doubt at that. I should have had not not like like I
- 1:56:32don't get like the the stuff that's really private. I just get like a
- 1:56:40name and yeah, and that that. I wouldn't have thought that she would
- 1:56:45have trusted me that far. But no, it was actually somebody who was
- 1:56:50pretending to be Carly Ellison. So the plot thing, okay, all right,
- 1:56:55all right, So so what was the purpose of this whole group to
- 1:56:59begin with? Kotak who's Alyssa? Mrconte, That's the woman who I was
- 1:57:01talking about, the Kataku writer. So this is how you know, they're
- 1:57:05just talking to each other, right, Like these people are not Alyssa Mrconte
- 1:57:10wrote the initial Kataku article and now PC Gamer the Mary Sue and you know,
- 1:57:16wait for it, all the other ones are gonna come out and they're
- 1:57:18gonna chime in on this, and they're probably all gonna have the same story
- 1:57:21and be on the same page. So Kotaku's Alyssa Murconti was able to get
- 1:57:26into the group's Sweet Baby Inc. Detected discord, where group members shared their
- 1:57:30conspiracy theories about the company is a diversity equity and inclusion consultation firms. That
- 1:57:35is what is most likely a discord that's open to anyone. Yeah, it's
- 1:57:41not secret. You can just click a link and get in there. Because
- 1:57:44that discord is probably gonna get nuked. Yeah it may because discord is uh,
- 1:57:49they're probably gonna they Yeah, they probably will get taken down at some
- 1:57:53point. So okay, So while group members shared their conspiracy theories, but
- 1:58:00the company is a diversity equity and inclusion consultation firm that is essentially coming in
- 1:58:03and destroying games, are forcing diversity into them. All that is true.
- 1:58:08That's that's not a lie, some exaggeration. It's not a conspiracy theory.
- 1:58:12It is a conspiracy fact, that's what and well, I'll get into that
- 1:58:16later. But these members blame Sweet Baby for every recent game failure. Well,
- 1:58:20I would say the ideology is the blame, and I think that they
- 1:58:24would agree, But the Mary suit is trying to straw man this position.
- 1:58:28So for every recent game failure, although one of the only games it has
- 1:58:32worked on that had disappointing results was Suicide Squad, Well I would, I
- 1:58:36would. I mean, there are some that are financial successes, but that
- 1:58:40doesn't mean that they were necessarily great games Like the Barbie movie made over a
- 1:58:45billion dollars, but it is not a good movie. It just made a
- 1:58:47lot of money. That's you know, like a game could win awards.
- 1:58:50This is another thing they do a lot. It was like this game won
- 1:58:53all these awards and accolades, but it didn't sell. That doesn't mean it
- 1:58:57was a good game. That means it wasn't a good game. That means
- 1:58:59that your elitist art critic snob friends liked it, you know, but that
- 1:59:03doesn't mean it was good anyway. So the only game that had disappointing results
- 1:59:12was Suicide Squad. Disappointing by the way puts it very lightly. That was
- 1:59:15a catastrophic cratered failure. It was so bad. It was like, like
- 1:59:20they're offering refunds for this game. Sony is offering refunds. That's something that
- 1:59:26never happens. Further conspiracy theories include claims that Alan Wake two Saga Anderson would
- 1:59:31have been white if it weren't for Sweet Baby. I think she was originally
- 1:59:35supposed to be on paper, that Sweet Baby added pride blags, pride flags
- 1:59:40to Spider Man two, a lot of them, and that the company has
- 1:59:43race and identity group quotas for every project it is involved in. This it
- 1:59:47does. It's on the website. You can go there and look. A
- 1:59:49lot of the discord isn't even about Sweet Baby, but has turned into discussions
- 1:59:54and memes from conservative men. They're not conservative men, dude, Why are
- 1:59:58you saying that? Not even just men. There are women in there,
- 2:00:01and they're just people who who don't want like they're so okay. So what
- 2:00:08you seem to be assuming is that if someone wants a game that is fun
- 2:00:14first without a preachy, progressive COMMI message in it, they must be conservative.
- 2:00:20So because like that's what it means. Now, like this isn't really
- 2:00:26a two. This is why I don't like them a both sides thing,
- 2:00:28because these people have constructed they've constructed the armies. Essentially, they are right
- 2:00:34and they are like a minority. They're the underdog, even though they control
- 2:00:38all the most powerful institutions. They got ran on their side and anyone else,
- 2:00:42regardless of what they believe is their opposition. Everybody, Like if I
- 2:00:46say, oh, you know what, I saw John Wick four and I
- 2:00:49thought it was a good movie, that would to them, Oh that's a
- 2:00:53right wing you're a right wing guy for that. It's like what because because
- 2:00:56Ken Reeves is not like a personal color to you, I'm and he's like
- 2:01:00part Hawaiian or something like. But that's that doesn't matter. Like it's like
- 2:01:03if you like something normal with like a male character and he's heterosexual, you
- 2:01:10know, like he doesn't cross any boxes and it's a good story. It
- 2:01:12doesn't matter what it's about. It doesn't have to be about Jesus. It
- 2:01:15doesn't have to be about like World War two. It could be anything anything
- 2:01:19else. Pedophile rings, yeah, it could be. Yeah, it could
- 2:01:24be a film about a guy that used to work, you know, in
- 2:01:29for homeland security that breaks up a pedophile ring and they'll be like, that's
- 2:01:31a right wing movie and they've literally said that. So it's not really because
- 2:01:35they that the sides are as defined as they claim. It's because they have
- 2:01:41defined their side and everyone else is the opposite. That's why they're saying.
- 2:01:45There. You know, these are people from all over the world, like
- 2:01:48from like where politics doesn't matter, like it doesn't, it's completely different context.
- 2:01:55But this person this I don't know where the mary suit is. I
- 2:02:00assume this everybody who agrees with the diversity ziggurat, so the cast system based
- 2:02:09on diversity, and everybody else who isn't part of that system. Those are
- 2:02:15the two sides. Yeah, this is this is an art. This is
- 2:02:17something I said on Twitter. This idea that men's rights activists and feminists are
- 2:02:26on two different sides is wrong. And the reason why it's wrong is because
- 2:02:31feminists constructed the sides, yes, exactly, and then they insisted people take
- 2:02:39their side, right, but they made the sides. They made through this
- 2:02:45narrative that men oppressed women. They constructed two sides, and they said that
- 2:02:50they completely illegitimized anybody on the side that wasn't with them, and ultimately I'm
- 2:02:59on the side. I don't think oppression is a reasonable way to look at
- 2:03:02the relationship between the genders, between the sexes. Sorry, I don't think
- 2:03:08it's I don't think it's reasonable. Mm hm, doesn't add anything to it.
- 2:03:13I mean, I'm pretty sure, like I throughout all of my travels,
- 2:03:15I've come to the following conclusion. Men and women do not escape each
- 2:03:19other. So oppression is a ridiculous thing to say about the pussonship between the
- 2:03:25two. Okay, and I will I will go to bat for that both
- 2:03:28ways. But I because I don't believe that men oppressed women, I'm forced
- 2:03:34on a side that they constructed. They constructed the gender war, the sex
- 2:03:40war, and man. People take a side, and the side, of
- 2:03:42course that is supposed to everybody takes, honestly is women. At the same
- 2:03:45time as they say, oh, no, you're on side man, everybody
- 2:03:50is inclined to take side woman. And what they say is, no,
- 2:03:55you're on side man if you don't do everything we say and give us money.
- 2:04:00Yeah, of course nobody wants to be on side man, because that's
- 2:04:03the way human's human. Like, the most ridiculous thing is to praise yourself
- 2:04:08for loving women. Yeah, join the club every days. Everybody does.
- 2:04:12Even misogynists love women, let's be let's be frank. Yes, so,
- 2:04:17but their idea is okay, well you don't love women if you don't agree
- 2:04:21with us. You see how that's just so manipulative. It's like the yeah,
- 2:04:26oh no, I know, I know, legend ever created. Yeah,
- 2:04:30they have constructed the sides. Yeah, they they've set the terms,
- 2:04:34they've set the rules and if and they determined whether or not you pass yes,
- 2:04:40And that's how they determine the sides. And it's like, no,
- 2:04:42I'm not part of this system. That's why I call myself a non feminist
- 2:04:46and not an anti feminist. It's like, no, I think your entire
- 2:04:50system is relevant and pointless and shouldn't be acknowledged as something you. You even
- 2:05:00can be anti mm hmm. You could even be opposed to because you are
- 2:05:05forcing your forced I refuse your dichotomy entirely. Goodbyes, madam, good day
- 2:05:14to you leave with your dichotomy. I refuse to take a side in your
- 2:05:19framework. Okay that I think that's where you're coming at too. Yeah,
- 2:05:26yeah, yeah, I am so well. We've been going for a little
- 2:05:30over two hours, so we we can like do a little bit of a
- 2:05:33summary. I want to. I'm going to be following this and making content
- 2:05:38regularly about it on Honey Badger Arcade, so I think that it's a it
- 2:05:42fits better in there because it is about games. But I really wanted to
- 2:05:45like mention this with Allison. I was trying to find a post by this
- 2:05:49woman Mercade or whatever her name is. I think it's on on this on
- 2:05:55here. Let me see, Uh saw her name earlier, Yeah, Alyssa
- 2:05:59Murcan Tay. So I'm going to like go to her Twitter if I can
- 2:06:03find it, and I will show you what because I thought this was kind
- 2:06:08of interesting about her. Where's your Twitter? Where's your Twitter? Bitch?
- 2:06:15Sorry, I'm okay, never mind, I'll do it another way. Hold
- 2:06:20on a second, I'll just look it up here, because she is there
- 2:06:27much more of this. No, it's it's a bit. It's a bit
- 2:06:30longer, like they go into what they really do, and I don't know,
- 2:06:33I feel like I'm just dragging this on and on, like honestly,
- 2:06:40yeah, people have Diary of the Pen, Yeah they do. They just
- 2:06:44they just keep going, uh and and really it's all like they've already been
- 2:06:47Like I said, they've already been called out. They're they're making claims that
- 2:06:51just don't make sense, like they're saying that, you know, these guys
- 2:06:54just don't want women in video games at all. And it's like, come
- 2:06:57on that, like we this isn't about that, we know, Brian,
- 2:07:01Yeah, these men, yeah, these men behave why they they cannot be
- 2:07:08seen to love women. We control the vertical and the horizontal when it comes
- 2:07:14to women. Women. You know, you have to comply. Whatever we
- 2:07:17ask you to do is loving women. And anything that isn't what we ask
- 2:07:24you to do explicitly or demand that you do is not loving women. So
- 2:07:29there, okay, yes, and honestly, these people don't love women.
- 2:07:32Like all the people that I have known in my life. The one group
- 2:07:36of people that I would honestly say hates women or at least is indifferent to
- 2:07:40them feminist typically feminist bureaucrats. They use them like cattle, and it is
- 2:07:48disgusting. Okay, continue, yep, Okay, So I got a couple
- 2:07:53of rumble rants. For some reason, social sig Ninja does not display the
- 2:07:57rumble rants, so I'm going to have to go. Thank you, for
- 2:08:00telling me about it. Nova Fan twenty one, who sent the Rumble rants
- 2:08:03through and I'm gonna read them out really quick. But in the future,
- 2:08:07I guess if you send a Rumble rant, maybe put a comment in Rumble
- 2:08:09right afterwards saying that you put one through so I'll see it. He says
- 2:08:13for a dollar random questions. If Americans say Z and Canadians say Z,
- 2:08:18then why do the Japanese call it a dragon ball zeto does any country say
- 2:08:24Z? No? I think they mean Z. But because Japanese words have
- 2:08:28to end in a vowel sound, then there's an O sound at the end,
- 2:08:31but it's not it's it's sort of not a letter. I don't know
- 2:08:35if that makes sense, just the way they pronounce. I knew a girl
- 2:08:37when I went to art school who was from Japan. Her name was Atsuko
- 2:08:41Sato, and she told me that when I was like trying to like look
- 2:08:46because she's English was her second language. Nova Fan, thank you for that.
- 2:08:50Nova Fan twenty one gives us two dollars and says, dear Bitter Brady,
- 2:08:54inc. Gamers are fine with women and minorities. There is a difference
- 2:08:58with having diversity and replacing quote unquote privileged white men with somebody nobody asked for.
- 2:09:03Well, there's a lot of blatant like hatred of men on there in
- 2:09:07their social media and stuff as well, So this isn't really just about like
- 2:09:11what they're adding in. It's how they feel about their customers. So you
- 2:09:16see what I'm saying. And then I got, oh, look, be
- 2:09:22bad said sent through some support. I think? Is that right, Allison?
- 2:09:26Do you see it? It's a big superchild. Otherwise are you there?
- 2:09:30We just sent through a big superchow so thing? Okay, well,
- 2:09:33thank you, be Bad said fifty dollars. It says are to display perspective
- 2:09:37for opinion, teaching requires differential ideals for the most expensive and flaying government known
- 2:09:45to man? Would you think training of flailing well that's okay, bailed spelled
- 2:09:50weird, but flailing government known to man? Would you think training was amortized
- 2:09:54with deference to your children versus training training speculation? Wow? Cryptic? Yeah,
- 2:10:07thank you for me that that I have read it. That's all I
- 2:10:09can say about that. We might actually be puzzling that over as we try
- 2:10:16to sleep tonight. Yeah, I'm probably not going to. And then Richard
- 2:10:22Pierre, I think, okay, if I can make it all right,
- 2:10:24try to try to treating requires differential ideas for the most expensive and flailing government,
- 2:10:33no demand. Do you think training was amortized with deference to your children?
- 2:10:39You know, I think this is going through some kind of translator.
- 2:10:43That's that's part of the reason why it's so cryptic. I assume then maybe
- 2:10:46English is not your first language. Is training for the benefit of your children
- 2:10:52being sacrificed for training them to the benefit of government? And I would say
- 2:10:58yes, if that is what you're saying, then yes, that is my
- 2:11:01interpretation of what you're saying, because well school, school is designed to turn
- 2:11:07you into a useful drone. That is what education is. So of the
- 2:11:11state, especially public school. Richard Bierre gives us five thank you Richard,
- 2:11:16and says, several of these games studios were already going to produce World Games.
- 2:11:22However, if they didn't hire the sensitivity consultants, they would have been
- 2:11:26dragged for not doing sensitivity correctly. Well, the guy Larry Fink from Blackrock
- 2:11:31has been There is footage of him saying that they want to essentially force behaviors,
- 2:11:37and they invest in companies and they offer money to groups like consulting firms
- 2:11:45and other companies to push the behaviors they want to essentially force or coerce,
- 2:11:50and that's what they've said it like, you can find footage of it.
- 2:11:52So I think, Sweet Baby, they're true believers. They are theater kids.
- 2:11:58They're all theater kids. I looked into the people behind it, and
- 2:12:01they really believe in this feminist shit. But they're also useful idiots of more
- 2:12:05powerful and more influential people who are I don't know. I don't know if
- 2:12:11they're like, you know, like really in the know, or if they're
- 2:12:13also just indoctrinated themselves. Who knows. We're several generations into this now,
- 2:12:20into this MK ultra thing, and I don't know what what is like who
- 2:12:24knows what's going on? And who is just a robot? And then one
- 2:12:28one little update I wanted to get before we end the show. Apparently the
- 2:12:31discord server is closing the chat. The discord server for sweet Baby, Inc.
- 2:12:37It's closing the chat because apparently someone is trying to bring it down.
- 2:12:43So I will keep you guys updated. If the discord server is taken down,
- 2:12:48I'll let you know or the sweet baby Inc detected, So they're getting
- 2:12:54love bombed by the bots like we can put that happened to us once too.
- 2:12:58Oh yeah, yeah, that's entirely possible. So I don't know.
- 2:13:03We'll see. I'll keep you guys updated. So quite quite a display.
- 2:13:09And again, please subscribe at Honey Badger Arcade. I will what d EI.
- 2:13:16This is from CNN. Of course it's a couple of months ago.
- 2:13:18De I efforts are under siege. Here's what experts say is at stake.
- 2:13:24Yeah, okay, as some of the most powerful leaders in corporate America level
- 2:13:28attacks against DEI. Experts argue that those fighting inclusion risk alienating employees block do
- 2:13:33you know do you know what I think? It was the same pattern?
- 2:13:37Yeah, do you know what I think DEI is what d I is me
- 2:13:43too? No, it's well it is, obviously, but it's me too
- 2:13:46turned into an institution. It's what the it's what the me too movement did,
- 2:13:54and you you take it and you and you unionize it and you institutionalize
- 2:13:58it, and you have DEI and what's the other one, esg. That's
- 2:14:01that's what it is because like me too was never about what it was about,
- 2:14:05Like some people say, oh, it started an earnest and all that.
- 2:14:07No, that's bullshit like it it was. It was a tool to
- 2:14:11destroy powerful people to put other people in power. And that is what DEI
- 2:14:16does. It's just like more. It's it's just more. I wouldn't say
- 2:14:22clever, but it's just like made formal. I'll put it that way.
- 2:14:28And what and what is that is cancel culture. So it's like, me
- 2:14:31too is cancel culture. Cancel culture is DEI. Maybe that's the threat.
- 2:14:35Does that make sense? Me too leads to cancel culture, which leads to
- 2:14:41DEI. Yeah, it's all weapons. It's all weapons to create it to
- 2:14:45get control and money. And I know about me too as well, because
- 2:14:50I have seen the financials of these organizations related to me too, like times
- 2:14:54Up and New Hope and Against Nash Organization Against Domestic Violence or something. Yeah,
- 2:15:03they're they're aking it in folks. Yeah, when I've actually looked at
- 2:15:07that every time. Now anybody from that side calls me a grift or I
- 2:15:13just laugh because we're talking. Yeah right, I get yeah, I get
- 2:15:18the same thing million dollars in salary in some cases for like fifty thousand dollars
- 2:15:24a year worth of actual services, like it's unbelievably. It's it's unbelievable.
- 2:15:31That's what's going through these feminist organizations. They are doing nothing for women,
- 2:15:37nothing except breaking money. I've even seen women who are dealing with domestic violence
- 2:15:46crying about this on Twitter that they that they've been noticing that these organizations have
- 2:15:52no interest in actually helping them. They're just interested in giving their board members
- 2:15:58huge kickbacks. Okay, that's what's going on, and me too was part
- 2:16:07of that, and the reason why I clued in on this was really interesting.
- 2:16:11I'll try to go through it briefly. So I was looking I was
- 2:16:13going to do a video on all of the media response to what happened in
- 2:16:18the Johnny Depp amber Heard trial, and as anybody who's been following that,
- 2:16:24the media tried to erase reality and sub substitute its own, even though many
- 2:16:28many people saw it for what it was, right, they tried to erase
- 2:16:33reality substitute their own. I went through and I compiled all of the media
- 2:16:37responses, or most of them, to this. I found in one article
- 2:16:43a really telling statement about what was really behind all of this. It was
- 2:16:48by a woman named Ruth Glenn who was the director or like CEO of National
- 2:16:54Violence Against Women Organization or something like that. Don't don't quote because that is
- 2:17:00right off the top of my head. I know it's wrong. But anyway,
- 2:17:03so looking at this, and she says, this trial, the Amber,
- 2:17:07her Johnny Depp trial, has not been a good a good trial for
- 2:17:13us, like a good accusation for us, right, and by that,
- 2:17:20we haven't seen the donations. Yeah, right there. I mean, I
- 2:17:26can believe that she said the quiet part out loud, but it and then
- 2:17:31I'm like what So I'm like, okay, I'm going to look at the
- 2:17:33financials of this organization. All right, she gets her organization gets half a
- 2:17:39million dollars just or puts out half a million dollars in salary. And what
- 2:17:43do people get out of it? They have one service, which is referring
- 2:17:48disfigured women who are disfigured through battering, which is not actually very common to
- 2:17:54plastic surgeons. That's it. So referring women to plastic surgeons, not you
- 2:18:01know, creating a means or like saving funds to pay for those surgeons,
- 2:18:07which which is what I would consider a real service, which would be you
- 2:18:11know, having being able to send them off with like a bursary to pay
- 2:18:16for this stuff. No, it's just referring them to plastic surgeons. That's
- 2:18:20it as well, Like, that's not something that takes forty hours a week.
- 2:18:28I'm almost certain that there isn't that many women disfigured by being battered that
- 2:18:33need to go to plastic surgeons. And the other thing she does is maintain
- 2:18:39a plant, a pamphlet, a newsletter, and do an hour and a
- 2:18:43half seminar. Now, and a half seminar isn't even done by her,
- 2:18:46it's fun by somebody else, and it's paid, so people have to pay
- 2:18:50to attend it. And she has a mailing list. I'm like, this
- 2:18:56is half a million dollars. This is what earned This is what you get
- 2:19:00for half a million dollars in the female and in the women's the women worsting
- 2:19:05industry, Like, they get so much pork it's unbelievable, and they do
- 2:19:11almost nothing with it. Nothing, And this is what they're protecting, guys.
- 2:19:18Maybe it's protecting the fact they do do fucking nothing except make things worse
- 2:19:24for the audience. They are protecting their source of income and self righteousness.
- 2:19:31And that's all it is, and again this isn't diversity. Diversity is fine.
- 2:19:35Diversity is a literally baked into art. It is literally a part of
- 2:19:41the virtue of art. It doesn't need to be lectured by these people.
- 2:19:45That's not what they're advocating for. They're advocating for a caste system based on
- 2:19:50birth, based on diversity or what they think is diversity, this degree.
- 2:19:58They just occupy pi a position in the hierarchy based on their birth. That's
- 2:20:05it. It's like, like, I think what you said, diversity for
- 2:20:09conformity. M hmm, amazingly. All right, So nobody, nobody,
- 2:20:13No artists should be lectured to by these people because they have a virtue.
- 2:20:20They're just cultural authoritarians who want to use diversity to construct a hierarchy, to
- 2:20:26put people in and put themselves on top. Yep, Okay, all right,
- 2:20:31there you go. All right, there you go. Uh one,
- 2:20:33okay. One other thing that I thought was good news, I'm gonna share
- 2:20:37with you guys. So the guy who created this, this discord server and
- 2:20:45steam group Cabrutus, is creating another thing called DEI detected dot com. So
- 2:20:54what does that mean? He is going to be essentially compiling a list of
- 2:20:58every company that he can find that uses THEI. So this is essentially sweet
- 2:21:05Baby Inc. Detected on steroids, which I think is pretty fucking based.
- 2:21:11So let me know what you guys think about that in the comments, see
- 2:21:15if you'd be willing to come in and talk. I have, yes,
- 2:21:16I've already asked him. He's he's I got him. I got him as
- 2:21:20soon as I learn about it. I reached out to him, but he
- 2:21:24was already like bombarded with requests. But he's gonna come on at least on
- 2:21:28Honey Badger Arcade next week, so that's what he told me anyways, So
- 2:21:35yeah, hopefully that will that will happen. Well, I mean it was
- 2:21:39just I wasn't sure like what the odds of you know, like getting that
- 2:21:45to work out were, so I went out on a limb. So yeah,
- 2:21:48but I mean, we'll see what the timing is. Maybe I can
- 2:21:52just stream to both places at once. I could certainly do that, so
- 2:21:56all right, all right, Yeah, you want me to do the things,
- 2:22:00shall we? Yeah, go ahead and do the things. Let's call
- 2:22:03it a day, all right. So if you want to support the show,
- 2:22:05feed the Badger dot Com slash support very appreciated, and we do need
- 2:22:13do you guys to you know, extend yourself to make sure that we can
- 2:22:16keep going. We do like we still exist ten years after the fact,
- 2:22:18right guys. You know why because you guys support us. That's it.
- 2:22:22That's the only reason. I mean, yep, I would still be doing
- 2:22:24this stuff. It's it's probably like the worst. It's probably the worst grift
- 2:22:30ever, to be honest, Like, I'm okay with with getting you know,
- 2:22:35a living. We get a living, right, Yeah, but that's
- 2:22:37not a grift, that's what I'm saying. Yeah, you don't get a
- 2:22:41really fancy living. I personally would prefer if I were ever to become,
- 2:22:46you know, rich, that it would be through my art, not through
- 2:22:50advocacy, because there's something in me that I don't think that it's appropriate to
- 2:22:54get rich from advocacy, if that makes sense. Yeah, But be that
- 2:23:01as it may. If you want to make sure that we can continue to
- 2:23:03do this, feed the Badger dot Calm slash support again, we probably would
- 2:23:07still be doing it, but we would not be doing it daily. We'd
- 2:23:09probably maybe do doing it like once or twice a month. But anyway,
- 2:23:13Feed the Badger Doll Calm Slash support. You are the reason why we continue
- 2:23:18to pick away at this, to chip away at this, and hopefully one
- 2:23:22day people will realize you just got You got to stop it at the source,
- 2:23:28which is men oppress women. This is a statement that has never been
- 2:23:33subject to scientific rigor. People don't even think it needs to be, and
- 2:23:39it does because if you're saying that this describes reality, then you have to
- 2:23:43put it through that process. You got to put it to the test,
- 2:23:45and it never has been. And if you're somebody who believes it, how
- 2:23:48do you falsify it? Tell me that how do you falsify it? All
- 2:23:52right? Okay? Feed the Badger Doll Calm slash support to make sure we
- 2:23:56keep going with this because you know, sticking to our guns means that we
- 2:24:03are sort of the public enemy number one for most point. So the Badger
- 2:24:11dot Colm Slash support. And if you want to send us a message you
- 2:24:13enjoyed the show, you want to say I have a lovely dog, which
- 2:24:16I do, or Brian has a lovely dog, which he also does.
- 2:24:20Feed the badgertal Colm Slash just the tip or a cat, because I know
- 2:24:24they're cat people out there. I think my ginger cat is pretty awesome.
- 2:24:28Com slash just a tip to tell us how awesome our pets are or how
- 2:24:33awesome we are, or to send more cryptic stuff. Thank you, be
- 2:24:37bad sad. Just just send us a message. Tell us we're not screaming
- 2:24:41into the void. Feed the badger dot com slash just the tip. Okay,
- 2:24:43back to you, Brian, all right, I got one more super
- 2:24:46challem. Just gonna read it really quick. Richard Bierre gives us five bucks
- 2:24:50and says, so companies can either alienate the customers and face the revenue loss
- 2:24:54with satisfied wolk employees who hate the company, or they can alienate the employees
- 2:24:58who want to destroy the company that compensates them. Interesting human One more liver
- 2:25:03treat. So he wants you to give the dog out the liver treat.
- 2:25:07And I would say, yeah, Well, I guess it depends if if
- 2:25:11if black Rock is giving more money to them than their customers, then they
- 2:25:15might think it's a worthwhile loss. So but I think there is a money
- 2:25:20laundering, fucking incestuous scheme. I mean, why would look at all of
- 2:25:26these journalists that are coming forward and defending the giant corporation, and the several
- 2:25:33smaller corporations connected to said giant corporations will also complaining about me capitalism. I
- 2:25:39think it's because they're all in bed with each other, just like it's all
- 2:25:43same as it ever was, same as ever was, same as it ever
- 2:25:48was. You know, you know the song right, it's actually pretty egregious,
- 2:25:52you know, like, yeah, it's about capitalism. It's like,
- 2:25:58you know what, I think what your complaints about capitalism are are actually complaints
- 2:26:03about small business? Yes, oh absolutely, you don't like people? Yeah,
- 2:26:09don't like it. I mean do you know why? Like do you
- 2:26:11know why? Yeah? Yeah, do you know why. The conversation around
- 2:26:16like Starship Troopers and fascism proped back up on Twitter recently because of the game
- 2:26:20Hell Divers too, and they hated it because it was very successful. It
- 2:26:26did not pander, It did not have not a lot of like overtly woke
- 2:26:30crap in it. It was just fun to play and men liked it,
- 2:26:33and that pissed them off because it completely demolished Suicide Squad, which was their
- 2:26:39baby. So they were like, we're gonna take this thing that you guys
- 2:26:41love, and we're gonna make it our thing and then we're gonna make you
- 2:26:45like it. And people were like, nah, that's okay, I'm gonna
- 2:26:48go do this over here, and now they're saying that's fascism, So there
- 2:26:52you go. Anyway, thanks you guys for joining us on the show.
