- 0:00Speaker 1: I'll start to you want to present some off the Bench,
- 0:03He says, what we have been waiting for.
- 0:05Speaker 2: The hype is over.
- 0:06Speaker 1: Off the Bench. It is I got to come off
- 0:08the face. Now here's Jacob Hester.
- 0:15Speaker 3: Welcome into a Tuesday edition of Off the Bench. Taylor
- 0:18Sharp here with you in for Jacob Heester. He is
- 0:21out at SEC spring meetings. We'll hear from him a
- 0:23little bit throughout the week. He's gonna send us back
- 0:25some interviews they're going to play back for you, guys.
- 0:27That'll be more tomorrow and Thursday. But I'm here with
- 0:30you for the next three days until Jacob Ester comes
- 0:32back on Friday. I think he's back on Friday. So
- 0:36I texted him yesterday and I said, hey, you know
- 0:39you're sending this interviews back and he's like, yeah, I'll
- 0:41let you know who as soon as I get him together.
- 0:43And I said, you're back on Friday, right, and he
- 0:46liked the message. So I'm Mike, I'm assuming he's back
- 0:49on Friday, So Jake will be here on Friday. I'm
- 0:52here with you for the next three days. We got
- 0:53a Landra Hillarya, we got Cassie Spizzali, guys, a little
- 0:57extended weekend, some Memorial Day holiday? What did we get into?
- 1:02Speaker 4: I didn't do anything yesterday, and then I went to
- 1:05Jumbalaya festival Saturday at a remote out there. I didn't
- 1:11have any jumbalaya you went to. They weren't like selling
- 1:16any jumbalaya, which I thought was weird because it's Jumbalaya festival.
- 1:19Like all of the little stands just had like regular
- 1:23fair food or like food truck kind of food. And
- 1:28my neighbor came with me and we're like, where is
- 1:31the jumbalaya.
- 1:32Speaker 5: We were so confused. But apparently it's just a cook off.
- 1:35Speaker 4: I mean I knew like the cookoff was part of it,
- 1:37but I just wrongly assumed that a lot more jumbalaya
- 1:42was going to be consumed.
- 1:44Speaker 3: Jumbalaya was going to be a jumbal I mean, that's
- 1:47that's wild. Cassie. What about you? Were you disappointed any
- 1:50this weekend? Like a laudra was No.
- 1:53Speaker 5: I didn't do much on like Saturday and Sunday.
- 1:55Speaker 4: But yesterday one of my friends had like a little
- 1:58family party that I went to, so that was pretty fun.
- 2:01Speaker 5: It's very very chill weekend. I was also gonna say that. Uh,
- 2:06I saw. I went to T Bob's going away party
- 2:09on Sunday.
- 2:11Speaker 3: Yeah, I'm pissed at him for that because I'm on vacation.
- 2:14He texted Saturday night.
- 2:15Speaker 5: Well he did tell us he was gonna happen.
- 2:17Speaker 4: I know, I just yeah, but it was fun. So
- 2:23we got to celebrate the A Bears and uh Jake
- 2:26was there too, and I was like, I know we're
- 2:29missing Taite, but let's get one last pick together.
- 2:32Speaker 5: And T Bob goes f Tayte.
- 2:36Speaker 3: Not surprising look, staying on brand until the very end.
- 2:40That is what I appreciate about my guy, T Bob.
- 2:43A Bear got was like a little sun yeah, son
- 2:47on the gate. It's not a burn though, so that's
- 2:49that's good. It'll be it'll be a little bit darker tomorrow.
- 2:52I burned pretty easy, but it was fine. It was fine.
- 2:55We we were responsible this trip. Did a good job
- 2:58of kind of like not covering because no yeah, like
- 3:03once during the like in the morning, yeah, and then
- 3:05I just let it ride throughout the day. So not
- 3:08a burn, but not like no tan at all. So
- 3:11we we did a pretty good job. If I eat
- 3:13fried shrimp one more time in the next week and
- 3:15a half, I will throw up because I think I've
- 3:17had it five in the last six days. I mean,
- 3:20that's basically all they have out there, Like they do shrimp,
- 3:23like we do crawlfish every single place. Their specialty is
- 3:27Royal Reds, which I'm excited about. But it's trimp, not crawlfish.
- 3:31So what is it the flamingo that turns that color
- 3:35because they eat so much trimp? Is that what it is?
- 3:37Speaker 5: I mean idea, I think it is.
- 3:38Speaker 3: I think the flamingo turns that color because he eats
- 3:41so much trimp. Well that was almost me over the weekend.
- 3:45But look, kind of want to lay out the show
- 3:47for you. We're LSU baseball heavy in the first two segments.
- 3:50I'm gonna talk to LOSU football as well. We're gonna
- 3:54kind of combine our Monday and Tuesday shows, so we're
- 3:56gonna have weekend winners and OTB mailbag. In hour two.
- 4:00Nick Underhill and Devin Snow both hopping on and nowur
- 4:03number three and then Chris Phillips of SEC Unfiltered will
- 4:07be on at eight fifteen as we are trying to
- 4:09make that a weekly thing. Okay, Well, we recapped our weekend.
- 4:13Also over the weekend was the SEC Tournament, and your
- 4:17Tigers played two games in that tournament before being eliminated.
- 4:21He took on Texas A and m on Friday. In
- 4:23that quarterfinal game, the Tigers get the win four to three.
- 4:27They played two runs in the first inning, they played
- 4:29it two more in the third and that was enough
- 4:32to hold off the Texas A and m Aggies. Ethan
- 4:35Frye continued his incredible hot streak. He was two for
- 4:38three three RBIs, including a two run home run. He
- 4:41obviously scored a run as well. And the pitching was excellent,
- 4:45not just in this game but all weekend long. But
- 4:47Kate Anderson got the start. He gave up four hits,
- 4:49three armed runs, struck out twelve, only walked one. It
- 4:52was another day in the office for Kate Anderson. After
- 4:55the game, Jay Johnson said he thinks that the only
- 4:57person that is as good of a pitcher in all
- 5:00college baseball as Kate Anderson was Anthony Jonson. And speaking
- 5:04of Anthony Jonson, he made an appearance. He had his
- 5:07first relief appearance of the season. He came in he
- 5:10threw the final three innings, four k's, one walk no runs. Now,
- 5:14I had seen back and forth, you know, on social
- 5:17media all Friday evening. Why did Anthony Jonson throw? He's
- 5:19your number two starter? Why'd you bring him out of
- 5:21the bullpen? I think it comes down to one of
- 5:23two things. One, if you lose that game, Anthony Jonson
- 5:27would not have pitched for almost two full weeks heading
- 5:29into this regional. Jay obviously wanted to get him some work. Also,
- 5:34a lot of people have set up here, myself included
- 5:36and said, I don't think LSU needs to win a
- 5:39game in the tournament, but it would probably help to
- 5:41win a game in the tournament. Maybe. Jay stall process
- 5:44was also, hey, let me go ensure that I get
- 5:47one win, we lock up that national seed. We're good
- 5:50to go. Everything else going forward is strictly land yap.
- 5:53I totally understand the decision because if you lose that game,
- 5:56not only are you one and done in the tournament,
- 5:58but again, Anthony Jinsen does not pitch for two full
- 6:01weeks heating into that regional. You gotta get him some
- 6:03kind of work. I mean, he went three innings, four k's.
- 6:06It was essentially an extended bullpen appearance for Anthony Ionson. Anyways,
- 6:10it's not going to hurt him going forward. I like
- 6:13the decision to throw Ionson go out there, win the game,
- 6:17ending Texas A and M's run in the SEC tournament
- 6:21as well. That's never a bad sign. But Kate Anders
- 6:24and Anthony Ionson excellent in game one. Ethan Frye continuing
- 6:28his hot streak. Now one to game two. LSU loses
- 6:33this game to Ole Miss by a score of two
- 6:35to nothing. The bats were ice cold, and when I
- 6:39mean ice cold, I mean they had two hits the
- 6:42entire game. That's the concerning part for me because this
- 6:46Ole Miss staff was dominant against Ella Shoe. However, they
- 6:50really hadn't been dominant all year, so the four arms
- 6:52that they faced, Caid Townsend got the start coming into
- 6:55this game. Caid Townsen had a five to seventy three
- 6:58ERA on the season. Gunnar Dennis, who was credited with
- 7:03the win, three seventy five ERA, Will mccauslan four to
- 7:07twenty three ERE now Connor Spencer closed out the game.
- 7:10He has a one six one ERA on the season.
- 7:12He's been dominant all year long, but you face the
- 7:14guy with an ERA above five one approaching four and
- 7:17one over four, So they shut you down offensively. And
- 7:21this has not been a top five staff in the SEC.
- 7:24I mean they've been okay, but at times they have struggled.
- 7:27They have shut you down. That is my biggest concern
- 7:30for LSU going into the postseason is the hitting. We'll
- 7:33get into that in just a minute. However, second game
- 7:36in a row, the pitching was absolutely dominant. So Jaden
- 7:39Nute gets the start. He goes four innings, seven strikeouts,
- 7:44two walks, only had one earned run. Chay Shores, who
- 7:48as far as I'm concerned, Stay is coming out of
- 7:50the bullpen. He's been much better in relief than he
- 7:52has been as a starter. Two and two thirds innings,
- 7:54three k's, three walks, so a little bit of control
- 7:57issue there, but he didn't allow when he earned runs.
- 7:59He was steady. And then we get to Jacob Myers.
- 8:03The last two and a third belonged to Jacob Myers.
- 8:06Four strikeouts, no walks, no earned runs. When you look
- 8:10at this bullpen and all year long we have set
- 8:13up here me Jay Calandra, when T Bob was here.
- 8:15The other shows, you talk about reliable arms out of
- 8:18the bullpen, because you know Kate Anderson and Anthony Ironsent
- 8:20are two of the best, if not the best starters
- 8:23in the SEC. Who can you rely on out of
- 8:25the bullpen? It's always been Zach Collowing, Caseen Avans, Cooper Williams.
- 8:30If you need a left the Jayden Knut's name has
- 8:33been thrown in there as well. Connor Ware's name has
- 8:35been thrown out there. Chay Shores now appears to be
- 8:38a bona fide relief pitcher. But Jacob Myers, I want
- 8:42to talk about this guy more because I think he
- 8:44deserves the recognition. Won the season. Now, Jacob Myers a
- 8:48two nine to two era, won the entire season is
- 8:51a one to zero record. He's been dominant. This strikeout
- 8:55to walk ratio now is forty one strikeouts to eighteen walks.
- 8:59He has been about as steady as you can be
- 9:01out of the bullpen. And he's a guy that up
- 9:03until recently, you know, you weren't talking about a ton
- 9:05I mean, he had hype coming into the season, as
- 9:07did this entire bullpen, but you know kind of got
- 9:10lost in the weeds of the dominance of a Zach Cowen,
- 9:13a case In Evan's, a Jaden Nude. I mean, those
- 9:15were the guys that everybody was looking at coming into
- 9:18the season. But Jacob Myers has been one of the
- 9:22most consistent pitchers out of your bullpen. This is a
- 9:25guy that you're going to rely on a lot. And
- 9:28the starting ability of Jade Nut. Mina Landre have talked
- 9:31about this a number of times about yes, it's good
- 9:35to have three starters, but you're going to have to
- 9:37find somebody in that fourth role to come in and
- 9:40make a spot start because it's something you're going to
- 9:42need in Omaha. Jadan Nut could potentially be that guy.
- 9:45We've seen him start a few times now and he's
- 9:48looked pretty good. I just mentioned four innings seven k's
- 9:50just two walks. That's a little bit more of an
- 9:52extended outing from Jaden Nute than we have seen in
- 9:55the past. You obviously have shorers who can start or
- 9:58come in in relief. I personally before I'm in relief now,
- 10:01but having a guy like Jacob Myers out of the bullpen,
- 10:03because let's look at your potential starters. Kate Anderson and
- 10:06Anthony Iensent are obviously up there. You know, Cason Evans
- 10:09can start. He's gotten a few Sunday starts. Jay Shores
- 10:12can start in a pinch, Jay Newt can start. Connor
- 10:16Ware has made some starts, but then out of the
- 10:18bullpen Chores Myers, Cooper Williams, Zach Cowen, Kason Evans potentially again,
- 10:25Jayden k Newt could also come out of the bullpen.
- 10:27You have options, you have flexibility in this bullpen. I
- 10:31am not concerned with this pitching at all going into
- 10:33the postseason because of how hot they ended the regular season,
- 10:37but also what we saw in two games back to
- 10:40back in that Sez tournament. I mean, sure, you gave
- 10:43up only five runs in two games, but you were dominant.
- 10:47I mean it was across the board Anderson, Iansen, knew Shores, Myers,
- 10:53there was no drop off. A lot of times this
- 10:55season you've come in and said, oh, there were three
- 10:57or four guys were really good out of the bullpen.
- 10:59The rest of the staff straw. Not the case. You
- 11:01threw five guys over the weekend in two games. All
- 11:04five of them were nails on the mound for you.
- 11:07I am not concerned with the pitching at all going
- 11:10into the season. But when I am concerned about and Alaji,
- 11:13I want to get your opinion on this, What is
- 11:15your concern level just going into tournament play as far
- 11:19as the NCAA goes, as far as elishues.
- 11:21Speaker 4: Bats, I would say it's pretty concerning just because, like
- 11:25it doesn't just go to the Ole Miss game, but
- 11:28Texas A and M. We won the game, but the
- 11:31last hit we had was in the third inning, So
- 11:33from the third inning on you got no hit. So
- 11:37and it's been an issue for a few weeks now,
- 11:41I feel like, and we talked about it even back
- 11:44during the Nichols game, like a midweek game a long
- 11:48time ago, like that's when it kind of started. No,
- 11:50well actually I don't know when it started, but I
- 11:53remember us talking about it and me saying that, like,
- 11:57not just a hitting, but the runners left on base
- 12:01is concerning to me as well, because there were some
- 12:04times where you could have had more insurance run versus
- 12:07insurance runs versus Texas A and M, and you didn't
- 12:11get it done. So I don't know, I'm a little
- 12:15concerned about it. Yeah, but when they're hot, they're hot,
- 12:18so it's just so weird.
- 12:19Speaker 3: Well, what's the thing, right, They've been so hot at home,
- 12:22which is why everyone said, if you want to make
- 12:24it to Omaha, you have to be a top eight seed.
- 12:27You have to host a regional, and if you win
- 12:30that regional, you will host a super as well. Tigers
- 12:33have done that because you go look at batting across
- 12:35the board. It has been much better at home. And
- 12:37I get that that's not an Lshu thing, right, That's
- 12:39going to be any team across college baseball, but LSU,
- 12:43especially in speaking of a top eight seed, the Tigers
- 12:47did get just that. When the tournament seeding came out yesterday,
- 12:50everyone assumed that LSU was going to get in that
- 12:52top eight. They get the sixth seed in the Baton
- 12:55Rouge Regional. They will host that regional and they are
- 12:57a national seed in that regional if Dallas Baptist, Rhode
- 13:01Island and Little Rock and also you were paired with
- 13:05the Clemson Regional that's Clemson, West Virginia, Kentucky and South
- 13:10Carolina Upstate. So the winner of that regional, if the
- 13:13Tigers do advance out of the Baton Rouge Regional, will
- 13:16come here to alex Box to play that super Regional.
- 13:19Speaker 5: I think we had a great draw.
- 13:21Speaker 3: I didn't too. I didn't too.
- 13:23Speaker 4: The regional and the superregional that we're paired with.
- 13:27Speaker 5: I'm not mad at it at all.
- 13:28Speaker 3: What a tease, But you and I get into that next.
- 13:30That's coming up on the other side. Here on off
- 13:32the bench, Off the bench, alright.
- 13:38Speaker 2: Goo to pelicanroof dot com.
- 13:39Speaker 6: Pelicanroof dot com is the website and check it out

- 14:32go nominate at pelicanroof dot com and check out their
- 14:36penpost on Facebook.
- 14:38Speaker 1: Welcome back to Off the Bench.
- 14:52Speaker 3: Welcome back to industry. Tuesday edition of Off the Bench.
- 14:55Taylor Sharp here with you us sitting in the host
- 14:57chair for Jacob Est. He is out at sec Spring Media.
- 15:00We'll check in with him throughout the week, but I
- 15:02am here today, Tomorrow, and Thursday. Jake will be back
- 15:06on Friday and then the next week our new show
- 15:09format officially begins. Matt Flyinn's gonna hop in next Monday,
- 15:13so that's exciting as well. But we tease that they're
- 15:16going into break. LSU does earn the number six overall seeds,
- 15:19so they are a national seed. They host the Baton
- 15:23Rouge Regional. Dallas Baptist is the two seed, Rhode Island
- 15:27Rams the number three seed, and Little Rock as the
- 15:30number four seed overall. I really like this seeding and
- 15:34the draw that LSU got. Look, we know about what
- 15:37type of program Dallas Baptist is. They're a team that
- 15:40people always keep an eye on come tournament time because
- 15:42they're one of these smaller teams that just has a
- 15:44really really good baseball program year in and year route.
- 15:47If you remember LSU and Dallas Baptists played each other
- 15:51earlier this year in February out in Arlington. Now the
- 15:54Tigers won that game seven to three. But these teams
- 15:57are so different, Like, look how different LSU is. Now
- 16:00did they wear in February? You were worried about your bullpen.
- 16:03You couldn't get anybody out in the bullpen. You were
- 16:05tearing the cover off the ball. Now it's kind of
- 16:07the complete opposite. Dallas Baptist is going to be that
- 16:09way as well. Patriots come in. They're forty and sixteen.
- 16:13They went twenty one and six to win the Conference
- 16:15USA by two full games. And then if you want
- 16:19to go a little bit further and look at the
- 16:20Rhode Island team thirty eight and twenty twenty two to
- 16:24eight in the Atlantic ten. They won that league. Not
- 16:27only did they win the league, they followed that up
- 16:29by sweeping through their conference tournament. So this is a
- 16:32Rhode Island team that is hot. Also they can hit
- 16:36the ball a three to zero nine team batty average
- 16:38on the season. As far as Little Rock goes, which
- 16:41is going to be LSU's first opponent. Because Tigers are
- 16:44the one seed, they'll play the four seed Little Rock.
- 16:46This is a team that's just twenty four and thirty
- 16:48two on the season, but they did win the Ohio
- 16:52Valley Tournament. So it's a team that struggled with consistency
- 16:55all baseball season long. But they may have gotten hot
- 16:59at the right time. This time of year, it doesn't
- 17:01really matter what you've done. I mean, a couple of
- 17:02years ago we saw Ole Miss get in the tournament
- 17:05as the very last seed. They went on to win
- 17:08the whole damn thing in Omaha and get the national championship.
- 17:11So if you face a team at the right time,
- 17:14it could be a little bit of a problem for you. Now,
- 17:16obviously LSU is a lot more talented on this team,
- 17:18but don't sleep on this squad. Again, this is a
- 17:22team that went through the Ohio Valley Conference tournament, but
- 17:25they are just twenty four and thirty two throughout the season.
- 17:28I expect the Tigers to win Game one. If they do.
- 17:32You got a forty win team in Dallas Baptist, you
- 17:35got a thirty eight win team in Rhode Island, Landri.
- 17:38You were saying before we went to break, you actually
- 17:40like the draw. I do too. You actually like the
- 17:42draw here at the ben Rege Regional.
- 17:43Speaker 5: Yeah, I like it.
- 17:45Speaker 4: I think that the draw, like the Regional and the
- 17:48pairing for the Super is very favorable for LSU. And
- 17:53you're right about DBU being a solid team and especially
- 17:58in the postseason.
- 18:00Speaker 5: But we Airdy beat them earlier this season.
- 18:03Speaker 4: And yes, our bats are cold, but I think, look,
- 18:06our pitching is great, and we play Rhode Island.
- 18:11Speaker 5: First, right, We'll play Little ron Little first.
- 18:14Speaker 4: Okay, So I mean, I don't know what it's gonna
- 18:16look like versus DBU, but I think it's pretty favorable.
- 18:20And then also the Super that you're paired with facing,
- 18:24I mean, Clemson is a tough team, but the rest
- 18:26of the teams out there, I feel like are pretty beatable.
- 18:31Speaker 3: Well. So, speaking of Dallas Baptists and Rhode Island, I
- 18:34expect Dallas Baptists to win that game one over Rhode Island,
- 18:38but let's say they don't. Let's say Rhode Island wins.
- 18:40Either way, I think that LSU has a really good
- 18:42matchup because you were talking about Ye, sure, the bats
- 18:44are being cold, what if they wake up either way?
- 18:47So Dallas Baptist is a team bat's only two sixty
- 18:50as a team right now. Now they do have four
- 18:52guys with double digit home runs, but their lineups a
- 18:54little bit top At me they got about four or
- 18:56five guys they hit over three hundred. There's a big
- 18:58drop off after that. So the Yellow Shoe arms should
- 19:01have an okay time with Dallas Baptist and as a
- 19:04pitching staff. Dallas Baptist four ninety seven ERA on the year,
- 19:08not terrible, not dominant, kind of somewhere in the middle.
- 19:11So is that a team where LSU's bats can wake
- 19:14up against? Really the same thing with Rhode Island. Now
- 19:17I mentioned a minute ago they can hit a three
- 19:19zero nine team batting average, But do you know what
- 19:21the Rhode Island Rams as team ERA is. It's six
- 19:24point two zero. That's another team. So really, your weakness
- 19:29is their weakness. Your strength on strength. So and you're
- 19:32at home, which is where Lshu has been. Both of
- 19:34these teams decent bats. I trust LSU's arms. They've been
- 19:39dominant throughout the last couple regular season series. They were
- 19:42excellent over the weekend in the SEC tournament. I trust
- 19:45Lshu's arms, both starting and bullpen to get it done.
- 19:49And if you're struggling against batting, you're going up against
- 19:52a team with a four ninety seven ERA and a
- 19:54team with a six point two ERA. And that's if
- 19:57you can get over the hump against Little Rock, and
- 19:59if you can, maybe bats can get hot in that game,
- 20:01get some confidence going up against Dallas Baptist and Rhode Island.
- 20:07I like this draw as well. And then Alandra was
- 20:09mentioning the the regional that you are paired with. It's Clemson.
- 20:13They're the number eleven national seed. You also have West Virginia, Kentucky,
- 20:18South Carolina Upstate. Obviously South Carolina Upstate the outlier in
- 20:22that regional. Look, Clemson's had a really good season. They're
- 20:24out there in the ACC. That's a conference that had
- 20:27a couple national seed bids. And then you look at
- 20:30West Virginia. West Virginia's baseball team has been pretty good
- 20:33this year. They're in a decent conference over there in
- 20:36the Big twelve. It's a team that you know a
- 20:38lot of people have slept on for whatever reason, but
- 20:42you go look at at what they've done this year.
- 20:45The Mountaineers. They're forty one and fourteen overall, they're nineteen
- 20:49and nine in the Big twelve Conference. They're seventeen and
- 20:53seven at home. But here's the big one. They're twenty
- 20:56three and five on the road. Do not sleep on
- 20:59West Virginia. I think they could easily come out of
- 21:01this regional. Now they're going to play the Kentucky Wildcats. First. Obviously,
- 21:06Kentucky very cold right now. You look at LSU's bats.
- 21:10You talk about that being cold, how about a whole team?
- 21:12It's cold. But coming into the season, there was a
- 21:15lot of hype around the Kentucky Wildcats. Nick Manjione one
- 21:18of the most respected coaches in the SEC. A lot
- 21:20of people like him. He's he's always going to be
- 21:23on that list of like, hey, a big schools looking
- 21:25for a coaching opening that's serious about baseball, Could you
- 21:28bring in Mango. I like the draw overall because you
- 21:32avoided an Ole miss who's hot, You avoided a Tennessee,
- 21:34you avoided one of those SEC teams that you could
- 21:37potentially have coming here. And in that case, it's pretty
- 21:40much a winner take all SEC series. And we've seen
- 21:43what the SEC is this year. In baseball, right, I mean,
- 21:45Missouri swept Texas A and M. You got swept by Auburn.
- 21:50Then you turn around beat you take down Arkansas two
- 21:53out of three games. You take down Tennessee two out
- 21:55of three games. It's an up and down conference. Anybody
- 22:00can beat anybody on any given day. The fact that
- 22:03you have avoided some of the top teams in the SEC,
- 22:06potentially in that super regional matchup, I think also is
- 22:10favorable for the Tigers. Again, Kentucky ice cold right now,
- 22:15but they have talent on that team. I really like
- 22:18West Virginia. That's the team I'm watching in this Clemson
- 22:21regional again, forty one and fourteen on the year, nineteen
- 22:25and nine in conference, twenty three and five on the road.
- 22:30I think that's the big one to watch. And then
- 22:33you look at how hot this team is. You go
- 22:35down and look at their last few games. They're a
- 22:38hot baseball team. Now. They lost in the second round
- 22:43of the Big Twelfth Tournament to Arizona twelve and one.
- 22:47That's an Arizona team that you almost got in your regional.
- 22:49You're able to dodge that, but before that you lose
- 22:53to Kansas. You actually get swept by Kansas you lose
- 22:57two out of three to Kansas State. So as good
- 22:59as West Virginia has been on the season, they've struggled
- 23:03a little bit down the stretch. However, I'm still keeping
- 23:05an eye on the Mountaineers. I've kind of liked what
- 23:07I've seen from them all year long. They got a
- 23:09decent balance of hitting and pitching. That might be the
- 23:12team to keep an eye on. Obviously, Clemson has done
- 23:14a really good job this year as well. They are
- 23:16the host of that Clemson South Carolina Regional. Alandra, if
- 23:21LSU gets through this regional, whether it's Dallas, Baptist, Rhode Island,
- 23:25Little Rock, which team do you think LSU like? Who
- 23:29do you want to see in that super regional? Clemson,
- 23:31West Virginia, Kentucky? Who do you like?
- 23:34Speaker 4: I thought my own mic was on that's so funny,
- 23:39I think. Okay, so the very easy obvious answer b SC.
- 23:44Speaker 3: Stay yeah, yeah, like the long chant.
- 23:46Speaker 4: Sure, I think we have a good chance of seeing
- 23:50West Virginia or Clemson. Like you mentioned, Kentucky's not doing great.
- 23:54Their record is good to like get them into the postseason.
- 23:58But I'm like a little surprise eyes So little surprised
- 24:02that they snuck their way in. And you know what
- 24:04else I kind of hate to get off topic real quick,
- 24:08is that Tennessee got a regional host site.
- 24:11Speaker 5: Yeah, they did not deserve it at all. But anyways,
- 24:14we can revisit that another time.
- 24:19Speaker 4: But if you were asking me between Clemson and West Virginia,
- 24:21who I'd rather see, because those feel like the two
- 24:24that were most likely to see. For some reason, West
- 24:28Virginia has a feel to me where like, if you
- 24:30let them go on a run, they like if you
- 24:33if you let them win this regional, they'd come and
- 24:37be LSU for some reason.
- 24:38Speaker 5: I don't know why right now.
- 24:41Speaker 3: Yeah, but let that team get hot. I just broke
- 24:43down the record the conference, the really good twenty three
- 24:45and five on the road.
- 24:47Speaker 2: Face.
- 24:48Speaker 5: Yeah, So.
- 24:50Speaker 4: I'd rather see c Honestly, I would rather see Cleansing
- 24:53than West Virginia because it's also like that team that
- 24:55you least expect in the postseason that you always feel
- 24:58like gets sort of magic.
- 25:00Speaker 3: The Stony Brook. It's the Coast of Carolina. I mean,
- 25:02it's teams like that.
- 25:03Speaker 5: And we've lost the Stony Brook.
- 25:06Speaker 3: We lost the Coast of Carolina too, Alright, it's it's
- 25:08one of those.
- 25:09Speaker 5: So that's what that's the feel that it has to me.
- 25:11Speaker 4: So I would rather and this is like all not
- 25:15based on facts at all, just vibes, but I'd rather
- 25:19see Clemson than West Virginia.
- 25:21Speaker 3: Speaking of national seed, you were talking about how Tennessee
- 25:25did not deserve that regional host side. I agree with you.
- 25:28Speaker 4: They lost the last five of their six series or something.
- 25:33Speaker 3: Like that, and what they won one game in the tournament. Yeah,
- 25:35like that's is winning one game in the SEC tournament
- 25:37And was it too No.
- 25:39Speaker 5: I don't remember.
- 25:40Speaker 4: Actually, there's so much baseball being played last week.
- 25:44Speaker 3: When when they announced the national seeds. Are your thoughts
- 25:48on Vanderbilt getting the number one overall?
- 25:52Speaker 5: I feel like it was kind of surprising.
- 25:54Speaker 3: Like for me it was too And I get it.
- 25:56They went on like they win the SEC tournament. I
- 25:58get all that, but like all these coaches don't put
- 26:01a lot of stock in the SEC tournament, like the
- 26:02tournament's supposed to be for a Mississippi State or at
- 26:05Tennessee or somebody like that, who like wouldn't be a
- 26:07national seed ye unless they unless they win that tournament.
- 26:11But like Vanderbilt getting the number one overall. That was
- 26:12a little surprising to me.
- 26:13Speaker 5: It was surprising.
- 26:14Speaker 4: I don't feel any sort of way toward it, like
- 26:17I don't have like a strong opinion on it one
- 26:19way or another, but I think it did surprise a
- 26:22lot of people.
- 26:23Speaker 5: They quietly were really really good this season.
- 26:26Speaker 3: They have the same conference record as LSU. That's yeah,
- 26:29the bluemond.
- 26:29Speaker 4: When I was looking at it yesterday, maybe it was
- 26:31just us in like our little bubble that we didn't
- 26:33talk about it at all, but I just feel like
- 26:35it kind of they were quietly, really really good.
- 26:38Speaker 3: It's one of those things where I look AT's a
- 26:40great coach, well yeah, and it's like Vanderbilt's always so
- 26:43dominant when they look like a pedestrian average team, they're like, oh,
- 26:47they're all yeah, they suck. But then I went and
- 26:48looked at it yesterday. They almost have the same record
- 26:51as Texas. Texas is forty two and twelve, Vanderbilts forty
- 26:54two and sixteen. They're nineteen and eleven in the conference,
- 26:57the same as LSU. So it's it's one paper. The
- 27:00resume is not as bad. Like I'm with you. When
- 27:02I first looked at it, I was like, this is
- 27:03a little bit surprising.
- 27:05Speaker 5: But but it makes sense.
- 27:06Speaker 3: Yeah. I when I looked at it and I kind
- 27:08of dove into it a little bit last night, it
- 27:10kind of made sense. And that's always a team to
- 27:12watch out for, like Tim Corbin, multiple national championships. Yeah,
- 27:15over there in Nashville. So that's a team to watch.
- 27:17Speaker 5: I don't remember if you were here when we had
- 27:19Chris on last week. Chris Phillips on last year.
- 27:21Speaker 3: Yeah, it was Tuesday.
- 27:23Speaker 4: Yeah, and he mentioned like Vandy has a really good
- 27:26record and they didn't play the bottom of the SEC,
- 27:29like they didn't play Missouri.
- 27:30Speaker 3: They didn't the RPIs s hi.
- 27:33Speaker 5: Yeah.
- 27:33Speaker 4: So yeah, it's surprising because we didn't pay much attention
- 27:40to it, I guess, but it makes sense.
- 27:42Speaker 3: All right, that'll kind of wrap up at least most
- 27:44of our baseball discussion. We do have Chris Phillips coming
- 27:46one at eight fifteen from SEC unfiltered. That was kind
- 27:50of a breakdown, little little preview, little taste of that
- 27:53baton Rouge Regional. LSU will take on Little Rock Friday
- 27:56at two o'clock to get that beat. Ruge Regional started.
- 27:59All right, take it quick. When we take a time out.
- 28:01On the other side, Joel Klatt ranked his top ten
- 28:04quarterbacks heading into the twenty twenty five season. This was
- 28:07on Friday. I have major issues with this list that's
- 28:10coming up on the other side. Here on, off the bench,
- 28:13Off the bench, all right.
- 28:15Speaker 2: Go to get Gordon dot com.
- 28:16Speaker 6: Get Gordon dot com is the website for Gordon McKernon
- 28:20injury Attorneys. And if you go to the website, you
- 28:23can see what they can do for you, cases they
- 28:26can handle for you in the courtroom.
- 28:27Speaker 2: Like a full list is on the home page.
- 28:30Speaker 6: You can get past client results, so you know people
- 28:33that have worked with Gordon and the team and the
- 28:35results that we always tell you about. I mean, look,
- 28:37I mean, if you're watching this on YouTube, you can
- 28:39see right there the numbers tallying up and what they've
- 28:42done for clients here in the state of Louisiana and
- 28:45throughout the state of Louisiana. They are top to bottom,
- 28:48east to west, everywhere in between. Does not matter where
- 28:51you're listening to us in the state of Louisiana, we
- 28:53are talking to you.
- 28:55Speaker 2: So you can go to the website, Getgordon dot com.
- 28:57Speaker 6: You can go to any major social media that handles
- 28:59going to be at get Gordon, so Instagram, Facebook, X
- 29:03whatever it might be. And then also your area code
- 29:06in Louisiana, so three one, eight, two, two, five nine
- 29:09eight five five oh four three three seven does not matter.
- 29:12Speaker 2: Follow about eighty eight, eighty eight, eighty eight. Good Gordon,
- 29:14and get it done.
- 29:15Speaker 1: Welcome back to Off the Bench.
- 29:31Speaker 3: Welcome back. In Tuesday edition of Off the Bench, Tayler
- 29:34Sharp here with you, filling in for mister Jacob Ester,
- 29:36who is out there at SEC spring meetings. Teas did
- 29:40a little bit there before that last break. Joel Klapp
- 29:43put out his top ten quarterbacks heading into the twenty
- 29:46twenty five season. I have some major problems with this last.
- 29:51First off, he starts with Carson back at number ten.
- 29:53That's fine if you want to put Carson Beck in there.
- 29:55I think Beck's a talented guy. I think that his
- 29:57season last year didn't necessarily show that Georgia's receiving corps
- 30:01was actually really bad. I think they wound up having
- 30:03like the most drops of any power for receiving corps
- 30:06in the country, so they didn't help him out any
- 30:08But Beck had way too many turnovers. I mean, you
- 30:10look at Beck's raw numbers thirty four hundred yards, twenty
- 30:13eight touchdowns, twelve interceptions, seven point eight yards per attempt.
- 30:17I mean he was pretty average a season ago. Now,
- 30:20Klatt says, okay, Well, you know, he didn't have a
- 30:23lot of help on the outside at Georgia, so I
- 30:27think Miami will help him a little bit. Who is
- 30:29Miami at You lost Xavier Verstrepo, you lost the Leijoh Royo.
- 30:35I mean, you'll have a decent running game. You're in
- 30:37an ACC which is a little bit easier of a
- 30:40conference than the SEC. But he's also coming off of
- 30:43that UCL injury that he missed a little bit of
- 30:46the offseason because of He seems fully healthy now. But
- 30:49there's still a lot of question marks around Carson back.
- 30:51But I'm okay with having him at ten, Like it's
- 30:52the bottom of the list. I'm good with number nine.
- 30:55He has Luke Altmeyer. Actually like this choice. Altmeyer was
- 30:58in a flashy guy. He didn't put the crazy numbers,
- 31:01but he was super efficient twenty two touchdowns to just
- 31:04six interceptions. He returns to an Illinois squad that's actually
- 31:08pretty talented overall. You saw him put some teams on
- 31:11upset alert last year. I think we're looking at more
- 31:13of the same this year. Leonora's Seller, South Carolina number eight.
- 31:17DJ Ledway, Florida. At number seven is Garrett Nussmeyer, our
- 31:22guy right here in Baton Rouge at number six. Here's
- 31:24his ride up on nuts He's not the most athletic
- 31:27guy out there, but he threw for over four thousand yards.
- 31:29He's an absolute gunslinger. He's going to put up numbers,
- 31:33and I think LSU will be a really good team
- 31:34this season, he said. But nos Maarn needs to cut
- 31:37down on the turnovers. He had fifteen last season, and
- 31:40he's not the mobile guy that can hurt you with
- 31:43his legs, so he has to minimize the turnovers. I
- 31:46am okay with that. Everybody knows that Garrett Nutzmyer turned
- 31:49the ball over too much this past season. He has
- 31:52him at six overall, and you can look at it
- 31:54and say, okay, well he's got him at six. Some
- 31:56people have him at three, you know, wherever you want
- 31:58to rank him. Like a lot of time you're splitting
- 32:00hairs with these quarterbacks. I be doing it. I don't
- 32:03necessarily have an issue with Garrett Nussbayer being six on
- 32:07this list. Have an issue with who he put ahead
- 32:09of Garrett Nusemeyer because I can't justify it. At number five,
- 32:14it's Drew Aller of Penn State. What am I not
- 32:18seeing with Drew Aller that others are? If you know
- 32:22what it is, please let me know. He struggles in
- 32:25big games. There was a college football playoff game where
- 32:27he didn't complete a pass to a wide receiver. Klatt
- 32:30mentions that in his ride up, but he says, you know,
- 32:32that's a lot on the wide receivers. Okay, that's fine.
- 32:35You can blame the wide receivers. Have they gotten significantly
- 32:39better this year? I mean maybe a little bit, but
- 32:41I mean they're not exactly a stud wide receiver cor
- 32:44top to bottom. How's it going to be any different?
- 32:46Singleton and Allen at running backer studs? But again, your
- 32:49weapons on the outsider minimum. Drew Aller gets the benefit
- 32:54of the doubt because he was a five star coming
- 32:55out of high school. Andy's six foot five. That's what
- 32:58it is, because says, Okay, you know, he may not
- 33:02be where we want him to be, but he's improved
- 33:04a year in and year out as a starter in
- 33:06college football. But that's not true. You go look at
- 33:09his numbers. In twenty twenty three, he completed almost sixty
- 33:13percent of his passes. This past season, it was over
- 33:15sixty six percent, Okay, so that is better. He also
- 33:19threw for more yards this year, but he had one
- 33:22less touchdown pass and six more interceptions than he had
- 33:26in twenty twenty three. And he's still struggling in big games.
- 33:28So all this talk about, yeah, he's not what we
- 33:31want him to be, but he showed promise, he showed improvement.
- 33:33That's not true. Drew Aller is essentially the same quarterback
- 33:37he was the day he got on campus. His fifty
- 33:41three touchdown passes over three years, which is really good,
- 33:43but four touchdown passes as a freshman in twenty twenty two.
- 33:48He didn't play a ton a twenty five to two
- 33:50touchdown interception ratio in twenty twenty three, twenty four to eight.
- 33:53Last season, he backtracked a year ago. He goes from
- 33:57two hundred and two yards a game two years ago
- 33:59to hundred and seven. That's not a huge improvement. And
- 34:04find me these incredible weapons that Penn State added top
- 34:08to bottom to say, oh, they're gonna be one of
- 34:10the best Receiving Corps in college football. Drew Aller no
- 34:13doubt bona FI top five quarterback. Drew Aller wasn't a
- 34:16five star coming out of high school, he would not
- 34:17continue to get the benefit of the doubt. Now at
- 34:20number four on this list, it's Sam Levitt from Arizona State.
- 34:24I'm okay with this.
- 34:25Speaker 2: Look.
- 34:25Speaker 3: He's a guy that came on late in the season.
- 34:27He made big plays for the sun Devils. Now he
- 34:29gets Jordan Tyson back, who was his top receiver a
- 34:31year ago. What will he do without Cam Scataboo to
- 34:34lean on. Teams are now going to be keying in
- 34:36on Sam Levitt, not Cam Skataboo. That's gonna be a
- 34:39little bit of a learning care for it. At number three,
- 34:41it's John Mattier. I hate having John Mattier this high.
- 34:44He was great at Washington State last year, but it's
- 34:46his first year at Oklahoma and his first year in
- 34:49the SEC. He's a talented guy. Look, if you want
- 34:52to put him at seven, you want to put him
- 34:53at eight, I'm good with that. Based on talent loan,
- 34:56you can't have him in your top three after not
- 34:58playing in the SEC at all. At number two, it's
- 35:01Arch Manning at Texas, and look, you know, I like
- 35:04Arch Manning. I think he could be good. But once again,
- 35:07the national media is over hyping a dude. They're putting
- 35:10unrealistic expectations on a player that has not even been
- 35:13a full time starter in college football. He is entering
- 35:15his first season as the full time starter in Austin, Texas.
- 35:19You cannot have this guy at number two. He's going
- 35:21to have weapons on the outside. He's going to have
- 35:23a good running game, he's going to have a good
- 35:25offensive line because Texas has all these things, but it's
- 35:27going to be up to Arch Manning to put all
- 35:29that together. Is he talented enough? Meganie Hell, I don't know.
- 35:34I think he's I think he's got potential, but we're
- 35:36gonna have to see it. Everyone is ranking Arch Manning,
- 35:39and this is unfair to say because I think he
- 35:41actually could be a good quarterback. But it's becoming ranking
- 35:45this guy as high as you are because of his
- 35:47name and not what he's done on the field. And
- 35:49that's unfortunately because I think Arch has a good shot
- 35:51of being a good quarterback, and it's gonna make people
- 35:53dislike it. It is a lot of people already dislike Texas.
- 35:57Now you have a guy with the Manning name who's
- 35:59getting a little bit over going into the season. At
- 36:02number one on this list, Joel Klatt has Kid Club
- 36:04Nick at quarterback at Clemson. I'm okay with this, which
- 36:08is why I'm concerned about the Clemson game in Week one.
- 36:10He was excellent in a year ago. And you know
- 36:12everything you say about Garrett Nolsmayer, Oh, he threw for
- 36:14a lot of yards, he had a lot of touchdowns,
- 36:16he had too many turnovers, het Klubnick did. He has
- 36:19his top three receivers back from a year ago. He's
- 36:23going to have a good offensive line. A lot of
- 36:25people are going to poke holes in this Clemson offense
- 36:27and say, okay, well, Kate Clubnick has no run game
- 36:30to fall back one. True, but he didn't have much
- 36:33of a run game a year ago anyways. I mean
- 36:36they were bottom half of the ACC and rushing offense
- 36:39to begin with, So how much are they actually losing there?
- 36:42And club Nick third year is a starter out there
- 36:44in Clemson. I expect big things from it. So I'm
- 36:47actually okay with that in Kid Club Nick number one,
- 36:50But going back to Garrett and Nolsmar He's at six
- 36:54and you look at Joel Klatt's criticism up he said
- 36:58he needs to turn down a limit the turnouts. I
- 37:01endorse that one. I agree, But Nesmyer looked like a
- 37:05different quarterback once Chris Hilton was fully healthy. If you remember,
- 37:08all season long, everyone said, oh, this offense is limited
- 37:10in what they can do in the passing game because
- 37:12you don't have a true dual threat because Chris Hilton
- 37:14could never get fully healthy. It was last three games
- 37:16of the year Vanderbilt, Oklahoma, Baylor. In the bowl game
- 37:19when Chris Hilton was fully healthy, Garrett Nelsmayer was awesome.
- 37:23Seventy two percent completion, seven touchdowns, only one interception in
- 37:26the last three games. You also have a lot of
- 37:29deep threats this season. It was basically Hilton and nobody else.
- 37:33Aar and Anderson came to one as a deep threat.
- 37:35Of course, you have Hilton, you have Xavi on Thomas,
- 37:37who's a year older. In this offense, Arrian Brown comes
- 37:41in Jolannie Watkins a little bit of an undersized guy,
- 37:44but we see what he's doing in track and field.
- 37:45Can that translate to the football field. You almost have
- 37:49an embarrassment of Riches at that deep threat spot when
- 37:52you had nobody a year ago. I expect Nelsmyer to
- 37:55take that jump. So Clat can say, okay, well, I
- 37:59need to see this from Nelsmeyer. We've kind of seen
- 38:02it again in the last three games when Hilton was
- 38:04fully healthy. It unlocked everything in that offense, you know who.
- 38:07We haven't seen it from Arch Manning. We haven't seen
- 38:10it from John Mattiir, we haven't seen it from Drew Aller.
- 38:13So again, if you want to rank Garrett Nelsmeyer as
- 38:15your sixth best quarterback in college football, I'm good with it.
- 38:19Aller Manning, John Mattier having no business being in front
- 38:22of Garrett Nelsmeyer because there are way more question marks
- 38:25around all those guys than there are against the guy
- 38:27here in purple and gold. That's kind of my football
- 38:31rant for the day. Look, I appreciate Joel Klat's list.
- 38:35He put one out last year, and you know in
- 38:37this article he admitted some of his mistakes and he
- 38:39had Carson Beck att ten. He said, Look, Carson Beck
- 38:41was my number one quarterback heading into the season last
- 38:44year and it didn't work out. He said, That's why
- 38:46I paused. I still think he's a talented quarterback, but
- 38:48I can't put him higher than ten. I appreciate that,
- 38:52I do. I appreciate the DJ Lagway is behind Garrett
- 38:55Nosmeyer because a lot of people are ranking him ahead
- 38:57of him, and I can't do that. He hasn't even
- 39:00had a full season as a full time start. He
- 39:02was good, completed sixty percent of his passes. He had
- 39:06an up and down year what you would expect from
- 39:08a true freshman. I think he's talented. I think Nessmeyer
- 39:10has more weapons to work with, and he's played in
- 39:13a lot more big time games in DJ Lagway, So
- 39:15I do appreciate that he had Nelsmyer over Lagway. I'm
- 39:18even good with Sam Levitt because it is important to mention.
- 39:24Klatt says, this is not necessarily you know the guys
- 39:28I think that just are going to blow up statistically,
- 39:31he said, I think it's who will have the best
- 39:33seasons between individual performance and leading their team to successful seasons.
- 39:38So I imagine Joel Klatt's going to have Clemson ranked
- 39:40really high, as a lot of people will. That also
- 39:44adds a little bit to the arch Maning discussion. But
- 39:46you cannot put arch Manning to If you want to
- 39:48put arch Manning in your top seven, go ahead and
- 39:51do it. If you think Texas is going to have
- 39:53a good season, but a guy that's never been a
- 39:56full time starter, that could not beat out quinn Ewers
- 39:58a year ago in Texas, you're going to have him
- 40:00as your second best quarterback coming into the twenty twenty
- 40:02five season. I can't get behind all right. Look, we're
- 40:05going to take a quick time out and we get back.
- 40:06We're gonna wrap up our number one, then an hour
- 40:09number two. We're gonna kind of combine our Monday and

- 41:41Guaranteed last week had to uh take their new Guarantee
- 41:45website headshot, professional headshot pictures. It was, of course Wednesday.
- 41:51Of course I was not here, so now I get
- 41:53to drive to some studio and government stre eat that
- 41:55I'm still trying to figure out where it is and
- 41:58uh take my headshot forgot about it. Luckily I do
- 42:01have an ESPN shirt on today, so uh, we will
- 42:04be getting that done here relatively shortly after the show.
- 42:08I think got it gonna be there at like ten thirty.
- 42:12Even if you watched Righteous Gymstones. No, you never watched it.
- 42:18I'll tell you what I'm I'm actually two for two
- 42:20on you guys recommending TV shows to you.
- 42:23Speaker 2: You loved.
- 42:25Speaker 3: Nobody wants this, And then Elandra Loved Ball in Her Court,
- 42:29which still ready for season two of that to come out,
- 42:32started Righteous gym Stones last night. I don't know what
- 42:35to think of it.
- 42:36Speaker 5: What's it about? I've heard Okay, so it kind of
- 42:38makes I've never seen it, but I've heard of it.
- 42:41Speaker 3: It kind of makes fun of the mega churches, but
- 42:44like not in like a bad way, like you know,
- 42:46not like a sacrilegious thing or anything like that. But so,
- 42:49Danny McBride is the oldest son of this family called
- 42:53the Gymstones, who run like a I mean like a
- 42:55big like Jolo's theeen type like massive church. John Goodman
- 43:00is the father of the family. I mean he's he's
- 43:03the guy that built it all. And then Adam Divine
- 43:06Bumper from Pitch Perfect is uh is the younger brother,
- 43:10and they're just not your traditional church family. Like I
- 43:14think they killed somebody in the first episode.
- 43:16Speaker 5: So that's why I couldn't watch it.
- 43:18Speaker 4: I tried to watch Righteous gem Stones, and then the
- 43:21first episode gave me so much anxiety that I couldn't
- 43:23watch it anymore.
- 43:24Speaker 3: Yeah, like we just started it last night.
- 43:26Speaker 5: Yeah, because they do kill some Well, I didn't.
- 43:30Speaker 3: Watch episode two. I don't know, okaycause that's like the
- 43:33end of episode.
- 43:34Speaker 4: So I tried to keep watching it. I went to
- 43:36episode two and I was like, I just can't do this,
- 43:38but like, do you care if I.
- 43:41Speaker 3: No, I don't care.
- 43:41Speaker 4: Okay, Well, they it's been out long enough kill I
- 43:45don't think they killed all of them or they all
- 43:47ended up living or something like that, because they.
- 43:49Speaker 3: Ran over the guy, Like ran over that guy. I
- 43:51haven't seen him, Like that was the end of the episode.
- 43:53Speaker 5: Yeah, so I don't know, they like tried to dump
- 43:56the body and then.
- 43:58Speaker 1: He will up.
- 43:59Speaker 5: Yeah, the Righteous Gemstones didn't try to dump the body.
- 44:02The friends that that person was with, oh okay.
- 44:05Speaker 4: And then yeah, well I spent like my entire day
- 44:09watching both Dunes yesterday because they're each like did you
- 44:12like Doom two? So I had seen the first one, yeah,
- 44:14but I hadn't seen the second one yet, and like,
- 44:17I love both movies, and I watched the first one
- 44:21just to refresh real fast. But like, I love both movies,
- 44:25and I know they're making a third one and I
- 44:27need it now. So but I don't think it's coming
- 44:29up coming out till like December twenty twenty six.
- 44:32Speaker 5: And there's six books, so I'm hoping.
- 44:35Speaker 4: I'm hoping that they make all the books into movies,
- 44:38like we got well Dune Part one and two are
- 44:41the first book, so maybe we'll get like Hella movie.
- 44:44Speaker 3: Oh hell, they broke the first book up into two parts.
- 44:46Those movies are three hours apiece.
- 44:47Speaker 5: Yeah.
- 44:49Speaker 3: So the first one I watched, I didn't love it,
- 44:54like I just it took me a little while to
- 44:55get into. I didn't know what was going on. Second
- 44:57movie was one of my favorite movies I've seen in
- 44:59five I mean I thought that that was Thank god
- 45:02you finally watched that. I mean, I remember te Bob
- 45:04had been wanting to talk about that movie forever and
- 45:06you're like, wait to have it seen it here and
- 45:08he's like, damn it a lot. You're like, you gotta
- 45:10watch it. I'm so happy. Do you finally want that's
- 45:12a late movie? No, yeah, it was good because, like
- 45:14I wouldn't.
- 45:15Speaker 5: I really enjoyed it.
- 45:16Speaker 3: Not that I disliked him, I just I didn't see
- 45:19a ton of Timothy Well. I didn't see a ton
- 45:21of Timothy Shallow made movies until Dune and the first one.
- 45:23I'm like, you know, this movie's over his character in
- 45:26that movie, and Dune too like made me love Timothy
- 45:29Shell like for that movie. Like I haven't seen the
- 45:32Bob Dylan movie. I haven't seen any of that, and
- 45:34I still love.
- 45:35Speaker 5: Timothy Chellon what's that called Complete Unknown?
- 45:38Speaker 3: Complete Unknown? I'm gonna have to watch that one too.
- 45:40But uh no, Righteous Jimstones, Cassie, maybe not your cup
- 45:46of team, be very honest with you. It's not bad.
- 45:49I'm gonna have to see where it goes. I'm definitely
- 45:51gonna watch episode two. It's a little outlandish, like unbelievable
- 45:57all that, you get it. But so basically the reason
- 46:01they had to kill this guy is because Danny we
- 46:03Brod was called on tape doing cocaine. Okay, well, obviously
- 46:06they're trying to expand their megachurch. Nobody's going to let
- 46:09a church family do that if the oldest son is
- 46:10called on tape doing that. So they're blackmailing him for
- 46:13a million dollars and he's trying to get in. My
- 46:16thought was, okay, well, even if they get the million dollars,
- 46:19they could still blackmail him in the future. And that's
- 46:20what they said when they got there. So Davy broad
- 46:22Like knocks the guy out and they will run him
- 46:24over with their van. And that's that's the entire first episode.
- 46:28So a little outlandish, but it was. It was funny
- 46:30none the less. All right, look, that's going to do
- 46:31it for hour number one, Hour number two, we got
- 46:33weekend winners OTB mail Bag and Chris Phillips coming up.
- 46:36That's on the way here on off the bench, Off
- 46:39the bench, all right.
