- 0:05SPEAKER_00: Hey everyone, welcome back to the Rerun Podcast, where we dive deep into personal, spiritual development, and entrepreneurship from a perspective that's real, raw, and rooted in Christ.
- 0:16SPEAKER_00: I'm your host, Tony Boutros, a 20-year-old entrepreneur, Christ follower, and someone who's been on a crazy journey of transformation.
- 0:24SPEAKER_00: Whether you're here to level up your business, your faith, or just your life in general, you're in the right place.
- 0:30SPEAKER_00: Today I want to share with you some of the lessons I've learned along the way.
- 0:34SPEAKER_00: Lessons that have shaped who I am, and I believe can also help you on your own journey.
- 0:39SPEAKER_00: We're going to talk about mental health, finding purpose, and why putting your identity in Christ is the most important thing you can do.
- 0:51SPEAKER_00: Let's start with mental health.
- 0:54SPEAKER_00: I grew up with very poor mental health, uh, or very poor health mentally, physically, emotionally.
- 1:01SPEAKER_00: I didn't have a relationship with Christ back then, and that made everything harder.
- 1:06SPEAKER_00: If you're someone who's struggling right now, I want you to know that I've been there.
- 1:09SPEAKER_00: I get it.
- 1:11SPEAKER_00: And some of these things might be hard to hear.
- 1:14SPEAKER_00: I want you to know that I'm not telling them to you out of judgment.
- 1:18SPEAKER_00: I'm not telling them to you because I uh am seeking to condemn you.
- 1:22SPEAKER_00: I'm telling them to you because I love you.
- 1:24SPEAKER_00: I'm telling them to you because these are things that I've struggled with, I've battled with, I've gone through those storms, and I have ultimately uh because of Jesus overcome them.
- 1:37SPEAKER_00: So I get it.
- 1:39SPEAKER_00: But here's what I've learned.
- 1:41SPEAKER_00: Mental health is not just about how you feel in the moment.
- 1:44SPEAKER_00: It's about what you're feeding your mind every single day.
- 1:48SPEAKER_00: For a long time, I place my identity and things of this world.
- 1:51SPEAKER_00: My struggles, my failures, my ambitions, and you know what?
- 1:58SPEAKER_00: It left me empty.
- 2:01SPEAKER_00: Romans 12 and 2 says, Do not conform to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind.
- 2:11SPEAKER_00: This verse was a game changer for me.
- 2:14SPEAKER_00: It reminded me that I don't have to be defined by my past or even my present struggles.
- 2:19SPEAKER_00: My identity is in Christ, and that is where true renewal begins.
- 2:27SPEAKER_00: Mental health isn't something you just wake up one day and fix.
- 2:33SPEAKER_00: It's a journey.
- 2:35SPEAKER_00: Journey.
- 2:41SPEAKER_00: It's with community to lift you up, to point you back to Christ.
- 2:47SPEAKER_00: That's what I did.
- 2:48SPEAKER_00: And it made all the difference.
- 2:50SPEAKER_00: When you're in a strong community, you're not walking alone.
- 2:55SPEAKER_00: And that's powerful.
- 2:57SPEAKER_00: Let's talk about purpose.
- 3:00SPEAKER_00: For the longest time I thought my purpose was tied to my success, to becoming a trillionaire, to building a massive business.
- 3:06SPEAKER_00: But here's the thing those things are great, but they're not the ultimate goal.
- 3:15SPEAKER_00: Without Christ, nothing is worth anything at all.
- 3:19SPEAKER_00: I was talking to another entrepreneur friend the other day, and we said, if you go up to heaven and you have a billion dollars, and God asks you, Man, what did you do with your life?
- 3:31SPEAKER_00: And they say, Oh, well, I I built this business, I made it, I became a billionaire.
- 3:35SPEAKER_00: He's like, Okay, and what what did you do with it?
- 3:39SPEAKER_00: The business inherently, if not done for the kingdom, is is worthless.
- 3:44SPEAKER_00: Um another quote I like is God doesn't give to you, he gives through you.
- 3:51SPEAKER_00: So as an entrepreneur uh who's blessed financially, it's not that God he's given me all this money so I can go buy out, you know, buy a Lambo and a uh a mansion and what like whatever.
- 4:03SPEAKER_00: Which which like that's not I'm not saying I maybe I will buy a Lambo, maybe I will buy a mansion.
- 4:08SPEAKER_00: I will buy a mansion.
- 4:10SPEAKER_00: I will buy a mansion.
- 4:14SPEAKER_00: But ultimately, through me.
- 4:20SPEAKER_00: This this makes me think of the the story of the talons.
- 4:24SPEAKER_00: Uh if it for those of you who aren't familiar, basically uh there were three servants who were each given a talent uh or talents.
- 4:32SPEAKER_00: Uh one was given, I believe, one, uh one of them was given three, and one of them was given five.
- 4:38SPEAKER_00: The one who was given five, he went out, and he doubled it by the time his master got back.
- 4:45SPEAKER_00: He had ten.
- 4:46SPEAKER_00: The one who was given three, he also doubled it.
- 4:50SPEAKER_00: By the time his master came back, he had six.
- 4:54SPEAKER_00: The one who was given only one was so scared that he would lose the one, and therefore, rather than going out and doing anything with it, he hid it just so he would not lose the one he had.
- 5:11SPEAKER_00: And his master was furious with him.
- 5:14SPEAKER_00: His master said, You could have at least put it in a bank and gotten interest on it.
- 5:23SPEAKER_00: But you are so ignorant that you can't make this one into something more.
- 5:30SPEAKER_00: Your brothers, they've they've turned three into six and five into ten.
- 5:35SPEAKER_00: So as an entrepreneur, I have that mind frame, that mindset where, okay, God, you're gonna give me a hundred grand.
- 5:43SPEAKER_00: I'm gonna turn that into two hundred.
- 5:45SPEAKER_00: And then I'm gonna give that back to the kingdom.
- 6:04SPEAKER_00: Another another uh another verse I really like.
- 6:07SPEAKER_00: Um Before we get into that, um, in October 23 I gave my life to Christ and it felt like my entire purpose shifted.
- 6:22SPEAKER_00: Suddenly it wasn't just about making money or being successful, it was about growing, serving, and leading in a way that honors God.
- 6:32SPEAKER_00: Uh Matthew 6 and 33, this is a verse that is phenomenal.
- 6:36SPEAKER_00: It repeats over and over and over in my head every single day.
- 6:40SPEAKER_00: But seek first his kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well.
- 6:46SPEAKER_00: When I started seeking God's purpose for my life, everything else started to fall into place.
- 6:51SPEAKER_00: The struggles didn't disappear.
- 6:53SPEAKER_00: Hear me loud and clear, the struggles did not disappear, but my perspective changed.
- 6:58SPEAKER_00: I realized that my purpose is not just about what I do, but about who I'm becoming in Christ.
- 7:06SPEAKER_00: If you're feeling lost, like you don't know what your purpose is, I want to challenge you to stop looking at what the world says you should be and start seeking God's will for your life.
- 7:18SPEAKER_00: When you do that, your purpose becomes clear.
- 7:22SPEAKER_00: It's not about chasing success, but about walking in obedience to what God has called you to.
- 7:28SPEAKER_00: I personally believe that we each have a purpose, a calling, and a mission.
- 7:32SPEAKER_00: And each one of us, we have the same purpose, which is to serve the Lord.
- 7:35SPEAKER_00: Our calling is a way in which we do that, and our uh our mission is is is to pursue our purpose through our calling.
- 7:48SPEAKER_00: So it kind of just uh ties all that mid.
- 7:51SPEAKER_00: Uh health.
- 7:53SPEAKER_00: Health is often something we overlook when we talk about success and purpose, but it's crucial.
- 7:58SPEAKER_00: And I'm not just talking about physical health, though that's important as well.
- 8:03SPEAKER_00: I'm talking about holistic health, mental, emotional, spiritual, and physical.
- 8:11SPEAKER_00: For me, this was a hard lesson.
- 8:13SPEAKER_00: I didn't take care of my health for a long time and it impacted every area of my life.
- 8:17SPEAKER_00: But as I grew in my faith, I started to see my body as a temple of the Holy Spirit.
- 8:23SPEAKER_00: As it says in 1 Corinthians 6 and 19, 6 and 19 through 20, um that shifted my perspective.
- 8:33SPEAKER_00: I started to prioritize not my health, not just for me, but because I want to honor God with the way I live.
- 8:39SPEAKER_00: So, for example, one of the things I am blessed to be able to do as an entrepreneur, typically I'm working a lot more than other people, but I also have the luxury that when I need a day of rest, I will take a day of rest.
- 8:53SPEAKER_00: And so yesterday I was feeling very disconnected, burned out, etc.
- 8:59SPEAKER_00: And I wanted to relieve some of that stress.
- 9:06SPEAKER_00: I wanted to do obviously that in a healthy way.
- 9:09SPEAKER_00: And to me, I think releasing quote unquote my inner child is a is a great way for me to do that.
- 9:17SPEAKER_00: I grew up at it, not grew up at, but grew up going to this park uh called Holiday Park in Indianapolis, Indiana, pretty much every weekend and spent a lot of time there.
- 9:26SPEAKER_00: So yesterday I went there and I hiked for at least an hour, probably an hour and a half, um, maybe two hours.
- 9:36SPEAKER_00: And just like alone uh time with God.
- 9:40SPEAKER_00: And I don't believe in being alone.
- 9:42SPEAKER_00: I believe that when you are not around other people, you're always with God.
- 9:48SPEAKER_00: Um, so it would just mean God, and that was really refreshing, um, especially being able to go to a park like that that I grew up in.
- 9:57SPEAKER_00: Um and you know, I'm I'm also a journaler.
- 10:02SPEAKER_00: Uh being an author, I like to write stuff.
- 10:05SPEAKER_00: So um I journaled a little bit and that was a really refreshing day, and now I'm feeling a lot better today.
- 10:11SPEAKER_00: So my challenge to you is is what I mean, what are you doing to take care of your health?
- 10:17SPEAKER_00: Are you feeding your mind?
- 10:18SPEAKER_00: Are you feeding your body with what's good?
- 10:22SPEAKER_00: Or as many of us, especially entrepreneurs and leaders, can fall into, are you just going through the motions?
- 10:32SPEAKER_00: Remember, your health is a reflection of your inner life.
- 10:35SPEAKER_00: When you're healthy inside, it shows on the outside.
- 10:41SPEAKER_00: One of the biggest lessons I've learned is about identity.
- 10:45SPEAKER_00: For so long, I placed my identity in things that didn't last.
- 10:50SPEAKER_00: In my in my business, my ambitions, even my f ambitions, even my f ambitions, even my f my identity in Christ.
- 11:03SPEAKER_00: Goten twenty says, I've been crucified with Christ and I no longer live, but Christ lives in me.
- 11:10SPEAKER_00: The life I now live in the body I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave himself for me.
- 11:19SPEAKER_00: This verse reminds me of my that my identity is not in what I do, but in who I am in Christ.
- 11:26SPEAKER_00: And that is unshakable.
- 11:28SPEAKER_00: When you root your identity in Christ, everything else becomes secondary.
- 11:32SPEAKER_00: Your successes, your failures, your ambitions, they all pale in comparison to the value you find in being a child of God.
- 11:39SPEAKER_00: And that's where true peace and fulfillment come from.
- 11:44SPEAKER_00: Now, I want to leave you with a question.
- 11:47SPEAKER_00: What are you gonna do about it?
- 11:51SPEAKER_00: It's one thing to hear all this, but it's another thing to actually do something with it.
- 11:57SPEAKER_00: Are you gonna keep placing your identity in things that don't last?
- 12:00SPEAKER_00: Are you gonna root yourself in Christ?
- 12:03SPEAKER_00: Are you gonna keep neglecting your mental and physical health, or are you gonna start making changes today?
- 12:09SPEAKER_00: Remember, each decision you make is a step closer to the person God created you to be.
- 12:15SPEAKER_00: I'm not perfect, and I'm still on this journey just like you.
- 12:21SPEAKER_00: But I've learned that when you align your life with Christ, when you seek his purpose, and when you take care of the body and mind he's given you, you start to see real transformation.
- 12:33SPEAKER_00: And that's what this podcast is all about.
- 12:36SPEAKER_00: Helping you to be reborn into the person you were always meant to be.
- 12:41SPEAKER_00: Thank you for tuning into the Reborn Podcast.

- 13:05SPEAKER_00: Until next time, stay blessed, stay focused, and keep striving to be the best version of yourself.
