- 0:00[SPEAKER_01]: It's Fakia Friday.
- 0:01[SPEAKER_01]: Fakia!
- 0:02[SPEAKER_01]: Get ready for some wins!
- 0:05[SPEAKER_01]: Welcome to the Beat till you see it podcast, where we talk about taking messy action, knowing that perfect is boring.
- 0:12[SPEAKER_01]: I'm also Logan, prize instructor and fitness business coach.
- 0:15[SPEAKER_01]: I've trained thousands of people around the world, and the number one thing I see stopping people from achieving anything is self-doubt.
- 0:24[SPEAKER_01]: My friends, action brings clarity.
- 0:28[SPEAKER_01]: and it's the antidote to fear.
- 0:30[SPEAKER_01]: Each week, my guests will bring bold, executable, intrinsic, and targeted steps that you can use to put yourself first and be it until you see it.
- 0:40[SPEAKER_01]: It's a practice, not a perfect, let's get started.
- 0:47[SPEAKER_01]: I love it, babe.
- 0:48[SPEAKER_01]: Happy Friday, happy Fecky Friday.
- 0:50[SPEAKER_01]: And happy Halloween.
- 0:51[SPEAKER_01]: Happy Halloween.
- 0:53[SPEAKER_01]: I don't, I do not decorate for Halloween.
- 0:56[SPEAKER_01]: I actually, I don't like to be scared.
- 0:58[SPEAKER_01]: But I have to say that I really am some like somewhat excited about this holiday, mostly because I just over the last year, I felt like I've learned a bit more about holidays and like what I was told was like, paganism and like weird, like,
- 1:14[SPEAKER_01]: which he stuff and, you know, because I grew up in religion and now I can look at this holiday and go, I love all the bitches.
- 1:21[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, I love mom.
- 1:22[SPEAKER_01]: They were like the all-knowing women often they were fucking duels and I just love it.
- 1:27[SPEAKER_01]: I really wish this holiday had been like kept alive from the history of it in a different way, but you know, it's good.
- 1:34[SPEAKER_01]: So, we celebrate things that are on our hearts and our minds, wins of yours who send end when in mind and affirmation.
- 1:40[SPEAKER_01]: So this is really cool.
- 1:41[SPEAKER_01]: So this online, 58-year-old Donna Jean Wilde set the Guinness World Record for the longest abdominal plank held by a woman.
- 1:50[SPEAKER_01]: Okay.
- 1:50[SPEAKER_01]: So this is insane.
- 1:53[UNKNOWN]: 58.
- 1:53[SPEAKER_01]: When they're telling us, oh, I'm in after 40 good luck building muscle, blah, blah, blah.
- 1:57[SPEAKER_01]: Well, 58-year-old Donna Jean Wilde from Alberta said a Guinness World record in March, 2024 for the longest playing held by a woman holding it for, ready?
- 2:07[SPEAKER_01]: Four hours, 30 minutes, and 11 seconds.
- 2:12[SPEAKER_01]: She also holds the record for the most push-ups in one hour by a woman 1575.
- 2:16[SPEAKER_01]: I don't even know why we need to have these records.
- 2:21[SPEAKER_01]: Like, I'm actually not sure that it's even like
- 2:23[SPEAKER_01]: necessary, but I love that she did this and I love that she's 58 and I love that she's a grandmother and I love that she's a kickass woman.
- 2:31[SPEAKER_01]: I also like look at some of these things and to go, how did they have the time to practice?
- 2:35[SPEAKER_01]: How would you even know you could hold it for four hours?
- 2:37[SPEAKER_01]: Like I don't know what else you're doing in the day to gather things going on, but I fucking love this for you.
- 2:42[SPEAKER_01]: She is 12 grandchildren.
- 2:43[SPEAKER_01]: I'm impressed by that.
- 2:45[SPEAKER_01]: I just think like this is proof that we can
- 2:50[SPEAKER_01]: You don't, you don't just like a show up one day and do four hour plank.
- 2:54[SPEAKER_01]: I don't even know if I can be with myself for four hours.
- 2:56[SPEAKER_01]: You know, that's a long time, but she fucking did.
- 2:59[SPEAKER_01]: So anyways, you can do whatever you want.
- 3:02[SPEAKER_01]: I'm not saying you can do that too because I don't know that you need to, but I'm happy for her and I'm happy to share with you that you can build muscle and kick ass at 58 years old or older.
- 3:13[SPEAKER_01]: Here we go.
- 3:14[SPEAKER_01]: We have an amazing win from Kelly Nyhan.
- 3:17[SPEAKER_01]: We love her and love her from Chicago.
- 3:19[SPEAKER_01]: We've experienced her.
- 3:20[SPEAKER_01]: We have to see her a lot of different ways in the world.
- 3:22[SPEAKER_01]: I love when we get to see what's going on in the winds of people's lives that have listened to this podcast for years.
- 3:27[SPEAKER_01]: So her FWF is okay, I'm feeling really great about my practice and teaching these days.
- 3:30[SPEAKER_01]: And I've had to really pat myself on the back.
- 3:33[SPEAKER_01]: Now I'm Brad and I fell of interest in the fact that I am keeping some type of practice in my day and week, increasing my movement, what feels good in my body,
- 3:43[SPEAKER_01]: End of the exercises with the flashcards, which are game-chained, you're clompin' with YouTube videos, and I sign up for OPC and committed to watching and doing each video.
- 3:51[SPEAKER_01]: I feel good about watching the video, sometimes at 2.0 speed, before I do the class, that feels good to me right now, but maybe in the future I'll just go for it.
- 3:59[SPEAKER_01]: A couple more FYFs I signed up for a day at Balanced Body Chicago's Plies on Tour, purchased a contrology.
- 4:04[SPEAKER_01]: One did chair to pick up, signed up for LL's Mac class at a local studio, Rachel from LLV, and of course, the Happy Hour.
- 4:11[SPEAKER_01]: Oh, and I helped facilitate LL's current LLV group for part of Chairs Weekend, Chairs Away, I want to master you, and sorry, this is long, but I have a loose system for really shown up for the things I want to keep me connected to my agency LLV C community, feeling great and more connected and
- 4:26[SPEAKER_01]: every which way, and it shows in my teaching, I'm getting more confident every day.
- 4:30[SPEAKER_01]: Woo, woo!
- 4:32[SPEAKER_01]: Kelly, there's a lot of wins in there, babe, which I, you know, I love.
- 4:36[SPEAKER_01]: I love that you're giving yourself permission, like you're like, okay, I need to watch the class first, like we all have different learning styles.
- 4:43[SPEAKER_01]: And instead of us like going, oh, I have ADHD and I have to catch myself like sometimes I say it like I was like I got annoyed by it right instead it's like well I have this and so because I have this I do this and I'm going to celebrate that so I'm celebrating you Kelly that you are like you know it right now and you to watch the class at 2x speed so that I can see.
- 5:05[SPEAKER_01]: what's going on so that when I do the class I know what I'm modifying so you can honor your body I love that that's so great for you and like all the different things you're doing to be in community and to make sure you get a prioritize that that's huge it's not easy to do so it's not easy to make time for other people all the time and you're doing a great job so thank you for sending your winning Kelly who's next who's going to send their winning a win of mine
- 5:28[SPEAKER_01]: So this one is a little long time in sharing cause I've had other things to want to celebrate with you but I wanted to still celebrate this with you.
- 5:35[SPEAKER_01]: This is my year of like pivot which like who knew we would all thought that would have been 2020 and I'd be like gonna dumb with it but I actually don't think so I think 2020 was like the transformation year that I plan it to be and it just looked a little differently and everyone else was pivoting.
- 5:47[SPEAKER_01]: This has been the pivot year.
- 5:49[SPEAKER_01]: So we had a pivot in the summertime with the candidate thing.
- 5:52[SPEAKER_01]: to virtual and then literally 10 days later we had something with our AC with a bunch of people the house for it.
- 5:58[SPEAKER_01]: Elevate workshop.
- 5:59[SPEAKER_01]: We had to pivot to another place.
- 6:00[SPEAKER_01]: We had to pivot back.
- 6:02[SPEAKER_01]: Actually, there's been another pivot that I've had to do and I just want to say like I'm pretty freaking proud and celebrating that like I actually have practiced what can I do so freaking much that I can just pivot in minutes.
- 6:17[SPEAKER_01]: on any massive project and it conclude many people and I find a way to make the actual thing that I wanted to happen and then I'm able to execute on it and I can feel so good at the end of the day going even though I'm tired even though well I plan for X and I end up doing Y.
- 6:33[SPEAKER_01]: Why did I have to plan for X for so many months to only do Y in so many minutes?
- 6:37[SPEAKER_01]: But I'm celebrating that because I think a lot of times we would just focus on all the shit that went wrong and I got by being like celebrating that I was able to pick it.
- 6:45[SPEAKER_01]: I think to celebrate all the things that we got right and we got to do and the experience and the community that we had because of it.
- 6:52[SPEAKER_01]: I'm just so proud and so anyways, it's probably a skill that you have that other people don't, that you probably don't even realize it's a skill set.
- 7:00[SPEAKER_01]: And I'm telling you, it's time to celebrate that you did those things, that you're doing those things, because it's really easy to take our strings for granted and not just take a moment to celebrate, oh my god, fucking granted that, right?
- 7:11[SPEAKER_01]: I can't get rid of that.
- 7:13[SPEAKER_01]: All right, anyways, Pivot Quinn over here, who hopes that next year is a different kind of year.
- 7:17[SPEAKER_01]: Oh, all right,
- 7:22[SPEAKER_01]: Oh, this one's good.
- 7:24[SPEAKER_01]: I make decisions based on a good gut.
- 7:27[SPEAKER_01]: I make changes based on a growing heart.
- 7:30[SPEAKER_01]: I make decisions based on a good gut and I make changes based on a growing heart.
- 7:35[SPEAKER_01]: I make decisions based on a good gut and I make changes based on a growing heart.
- 7:39[SPEAKER_01]: How much abundance is that?
- 7:41[SPEAKER_01]: Fucking great.
- 7:42[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, all right, could be a tell you see it.
- 7:44[SPEAKER_01]: See you next time.
