- 0:14Speaker 1: Dear Lord, Your word is power and convicts my heart
- 0:20Speaker 1: to repent. Your word is also comforting, like a balm
- 0:25Speaker 1: to my wounded soul. Your word is uplifting, encouraging, and
- 0:32Speaker 1: empowers me to step up and into my potential. I
- 0:37Speaker 1: pray the words I speak to others would be informed
- 0:41Speaker 1: by the words you have spoken over me. I want
- 0:45Speaker 1: to convict, comfort, uplift, and empower others. While others might
- 0:53Speaker 1: seek to tear people down with their words, I want
- 0:58Speaker 1: to raise people up Transform my heart through the power
- 1:03Speaker 1: of your word and anoint my lips to speak healing
- 1:08Speaker 1: and praise wherever I go. In Jesus' name, amen. Thank
- 1:19Speaker 1: you for joining me in prayer. Stay tuned for today's
- 1:22Speaker 1: free podcast, Meditative Prayers with Dr. Tim Clinton, where you
- 1:26Speaker 1: can draw close to God and find strength in Him.
- 1:36Speaker 2: Welcome to your meditative prayer on healing relationships. To get
- 1:39Speaker 2: the most out of your spiritual journey, use Pray.com every
- 1:41Speaker 2: day and make prayer a priority in your life. Our
- 1:49Speaker 2: goal today on meditative prayer is healing relationships. I hope
- 1:54Speaker 2: you'll slow down a little. Again, look for a place
- 1:57Speaker 2: where you'll be able to unwind. And without rush, take
- 2:04Speaker 2: a few moments and close your eyes. Take a couple
- 2:07Speaker 2: of deep breaths and prepare your mind to receive from God.
- 2:17Speaker 2: We will be meditating on Proverbs 18, verse 21 from
- 2:21Speaker 2: the King James Version. The tongue has the power of
- 2:27Speaker 2: life and death, and those who love it will eat
- 2:32Speaker 2: its fruit. As we begin, let's take a moment to
- 2:37Speaker 2: pour out our adoration, our love to God. Yours, Lord,
- 2:47Speaker 2: is the greatness and the power and the glory, the
- 2:51Speaker 2: majesty and the splendor for everything in heaven and earth
- 2:55Speaker 2: is yours. Yours, Lord, is the kingdom. You are exalted
- 3:01Speaker 2: as head over all. I will praise you all day.
- 3:05Speaker 2: The days of my life. Hear me. Your words have power.
- 3:18Speaker 2: They can create life. And they can create death. With
- 3:25Speaker 2: words you can help and heal. Or cause hurt and harm.
- 3:34Speaker 2: You can speak words of encouragement to build people up,
- 3:36Speaker 2: or you can speak words of slander to tear them down.
- 3:42Speaker 2: Whether it be a professional, familial, or even social relationship,
- 3:48Speaker 2: your words affect the quality and the outcome of your
- 3:51Speaker 2: interactions with others. So therefore, choose your words wisely. For
- 3:58Speaker 2: once they are released into the atmosphere, they cannot be
- 4:05Speaker 2: called back. You can apologize, make amends, but the damage
- 4:13Speaker 2: will have been done. A few words spoken in anger
- 4:19Speaker 2: can cost you a close and irreplaceable relationship. Let's now
- 4:30Speaker 2: reflect for a moment on your choice of words. Think
- 4:34Speaker 2: of what you have spoken and the outcome created by
- 4:37Speaker 2: your words. Have your words improved your relationships? Or have
- 4:46Speaker 2: they caused them to suffer? Confess to the Lord your
- 4:52Speaker 2: broken relationships. Tell Him the words you misspoke in your anger,
- 4:59Speaker 2: in your hurt, and in your pain. Think about being
- 5:06Speaker 2: on the receiving end of someone else's anger, of their
- 5:11Speaker 2: hurtful words. Now take a moment to dwell on God's
- 5:18Speaker 2: blessings over your life. Thank God for his loving words
- 5:23Speaker 2: spoken over you. Words of love, peace, joy, prosperity. Recollect
- 5:36Speaker 2: situations when God gave you wisdom to speak his blessings
- 5:41Speaker 2: over others. And the joy. Thank God for restoration of
- 5:52Speaker 2: past relationships through kind words. Words inspired and led by
- 5:57Speaker 2: the Holy Spirit operating in your heart. Thank God for
- 6:01Speaker 2: blessings of past reconciled relationships. again through His Word, and
- 6:08Speaker 2: for those yet to come. Thank Him for the wisdom
- 6:12Speaker 2: and the knowledge found in His Holy Word. And don't forget,
- 6:19Speaker 2: God is present. He's listening to you. Bring to mind
- 6:24Speaker 2: the areas you lack control over your emotions. Ask God
- 6:30Speaker 2: for the ability to apply restraint to the words of
- 6:34Speaker 2: coming out of your mouth. Watch your mouth. Ask Him
- 6:40Speaker 2: to give you control to not lash out in anger.
- 6:46Speaker 2: Pray for wisdom to be applied in all your conversations.
- 6:54Speaker 2: When talking with your family or your friends, while speaking
- 6:58Speaker 2: with your superiors or colleagues at work, ask the Holy
- 7:02Speaker 2: Spirit to help you to be mindful and attentive to
- 7:06Speaker 2: what you say and how you say it. Remember, what
- 7:12Speaker 2: you say can bring life or death, and you will
- 7:16Speaker 2: reap the consequences of your words. So be careful with
- 7:22Speaker 2: what comes out of your mouth. Strive to apply love
- 7:26Speaker 2: to everything you say. Strive to bring peace and harmony
- 7:30Speaker 2: to your relationships, through your conversations, Trust in God. Trust
- 7:38Speaker 2: in His Word. And I think you will see blessings
- 7:41Speaker 2: manifested in all of your relationships. Thank you for completing
- 7:49Speaker 2: today's meditative prayer on Pray.com. By incorporating this healthy habit
- 7:54Speaker 2: as a daily practice, you're making prayer a priority. And
