Transcript
- 0:00Okay, okay, okay.
- 0:07We're here, we're back, it's three for the money.
- 0:21Fourth of July was yesterday.
- 0:23Today's the fifth of July.
- 0:24That's how it works.
- 0:26Yeah, not a lot has happened since last week.
- 0:29What I can say happened is Joey Chestnut saved America.
- 0:34That's true.
- 0:36I was devastated when I saw the hot dog fest was canceled.
- 0:41Yeah, for like 10 minutes.
- 0:43There was an immediate outcry on the internet.
- 0:48Everybody was like, you can't do this to us.
- 0:52You can't rob this from us.
- 0:55What are we going to do?
- 0:57Yeah, that was, yeah.
- 1:00And still the king.
- 1:02He made it happen.
- 1:03How many times in a row?
- 1:0516 or something?
- 1:07She's either his 16th or 17th.
- 1:13Athlete.
- 1:14He's the greatest athlete we've ever witnessed.
- 1:18You have to, your body has to go through some shit.
- 1:23Yeah.
- 1:24To eat that many hot dogs.
- 1:26He said he was going to go have a few beers after that too.
- 1:29He was like, yeah, I still got some room.
- 1:31He's got a few beers.
- 1:32I was like, God.
- 1:35I can't imagine eating more than like three hot dogs.
- 1:39Really?
- 1:40Yeah.
- 1:41I had like 13 one time.
- 1:43What?
- 1:44Where?
- 1:45In a sitting.
- 1:46In a sitting?
- 1:48Yeah, me and my girl had a hot dog eating contest one time.
- 1:52That's adorable.
- 1:54Did she beat you?
- 1:55She did beat me.
- 1:58They were all B Franks.
- 2:00They weren't regular Franks.
- 2:02If they were regular Franks, I probably,
- 2:04I would have had a better chance.
- 2:06But I don't know.
- 2:07I don't like B Franks as much.
- 2:10But don't you just swallow it whole?
- 2:13I don't.
- 2:14I mean, I chew it.
- 2:15Slurp it?
- 2:16I was like, no.
- 2:18Did you do what Joey does?
- 2:20No.
- 2:21Brake some and dunk some?
- 2:22That's what you got to do, man.
- 2:23I'm not going to do that.
- 2:24Did you set a time limit for this?
- 2:27No.
- 2:28It was just like, all day thing.
- 2:30You didn't feel good?
- 2:31Yeah.
- 2:32Pretty much.
- 2:33It's like an all day thing.
- 2:35It's like about to go to bed.
- 2:36And he's like, God.
- 2:39One more.
- 2:40I'm three dogs behind.
- 2:42But I have to go to sleep.
- 2:43I've got work in the morning.
- 2:45No, I would say that.
- 2:46All right.
- 2:47Three more on the grill real quick.
- 2:50Now we were in this band of one episode of a television show.
- 2:5920 minutes.
- 3:00Somewhere around there.
- 3:05But I was at the gym the other day.
- 3:08And I was at the hack squat machine.
- 3:11And I was like, I really don't want to do this.
- 3:14But on the TV in front of me was an ESPN 30 for 30 on Joe.
- 3:19We Jaws chestnut.
- 3:21And you know what?
- 3:23This was Monday, I think.
- 3:25It was either Monday or Sunday.
- 3:27I was like, I have to do this for Joe.
- 3:29For Joey.
- 3:30For America's King.
- 3:31Yeah.
- 3:32Have you seen that 30 for 30?
- 3:34No, it's wild.
- 3:35I just saw the picture of it.
- 3:38It's wild.
- 3:39Not the picture, but the film without the sound.
- 3:42It was about like the fall of like Kobayashi and the rise of Joey
- 3:46Chestnut.
- 3:47Yeah, when I was growing up, Kobayashi was the king.
- 3:50He was the king.
- 3:52It was kind of sad.
- 3:55He went back to Japan and they exiled him almost.
- 3:59What?
- 4:00Yeah.
- 4:01They just like, because he was like a failure in their eyes.
- 4:04If you're a failure in Japan, they'll want to shoot you.
- 4:07Right.
- 4:08You got to be the best at your thing.
- 4:12They did have this one.
- 4:14I can't remember if they were talking to Kobayashi or Joey Chestnut.
- 4:18They were doing like their, like how he eats the hot dogs.
- 4:23And they showed the video of him like dunking it in water.
- 4:26And it was like, after like the third dunk, there's so much like, there's like
- 4:29soggy bread floating.
- 4:31I was like, so gross.
- 4:36And they show like all the other stuff like, because I have like these eating
- 4:40competitions, like everywhere, it's like different foods.
- 4:43There's just like one sushi one, one guy like 70 something rolls of sushi.
- 4:49And it was, yeah.
- 4:51Or like the little, I don't know, or 70 pieces pieces, I guess.
- 4:54I don't know.
- 4:55Maybe it was more than that.
- 4:56It was like a lot.
- 4:58How much raw fish can you consume before you like die?
- 5:03Yeah, for real.
- 5:05For the mercury poisoning.
- 5:07Seriously.
- 5:09Athletes, every single one of them.
- 5:11I mean, yeah, they train their bodies to get it done.
- 5:16What else, what else would you describe as an athlete?
- 5:19I mean, I don't know, there's a competitive miss to it.
- 5:24Some would say you're not an athlete if you don't wear a cup.
- 5:28So I'm not some, but I don't know.
- 5:33I don't know if I've heard that.
- 5:35I mean, like basketball players network cubs.
- 5:37Ladies don't work cubs.
- 5:39That's true as well.
- 5:42Is it really sports?
- 5:49Nobody watches women's sports.
- 5:51Maybe this argument is kind of valid.
- 5:55It's pretty valid argument.
- 5:57You guys have been watching Brittany Griner since she came back from whatever.
- 6:02No.
- 6:03A Russian prison.
- 6:05Yeah, me neither.
- 6:07We traded the angel of death for the harbinger of death.
- 6:12For a fucking international drug smuggler.
- 6:16No, like a nuclear arms.
- 6:18No, we traded an international drug smuggler for a nuclear arms.
- 6:21Oh, I see what you mean.
- 6:23Yeah, a professional NBA drug smuggler.
- 6:28WNBA.
- 6:30You said NBA.
- 6:32We'll let it slide this time.
- 6:34That kind of saved Brittany Griner's career.
- 6:38If you think about it, why was she, why was she over in Russia?
- 6:42Because she was smuggling drugs.
- 6:44Because she was playing in one of these bullshit basketball leagues.
- 6:50She wasn't in the show.
- 6:52She wasn't in the WNBA.
- 6:54Now she's back.
- 6:56She was still in the WNBA.
- 6:58They get paid like six dollars an hour, so they have to like go play in overseas.
- 7:05They have to resort to international crimes to pay this.
- 7:11You all seen Breaking Bad?
- 7:13Yeah.
- 7:14Brittany Griner took notes.
- 7:18She's like, I gotta, I gotta, I gotta break bad.
- 7:23She had to break the bad.
- 7:29That's foreign affairs talk with three for the money.
- 7:32Yeah, of course.
- 7:34Mr. White.
- 7:35What we're best at?
- 7:37Miss Griner.
- 7:39Jesus.
- 7:41Showed up my ass.
- 7:44Gotta get this to Russia.
- 7:47But free agent, the NBA and NHL free agency did kick in on the first Saturday.
- 7:56NBA started the day before at 6 p.m. as we mentioned last time as it's so kind of weird.
- 8:05But I don't know, I'm gonna go on a little bit of a rant right here.
- 8:10But I was able to find the TSN stream to watch the NHL free agency frenzy show.
- 8:19Because they were getting all the coverage for all the NHL news.
- 8:27None of it was on like...
- 8:29You can't watch it on ESPN.
- 8:31Yeah, because they don't care about hockey.
- 8:33Because they're debating between Jordan and LeBron.
- 8:36Yeah, they're too busy doing that.
- 8:38So I was able to find the TSN stream.
- 8:41And in case you all didn't know, TSN stands for the sports network.
- 8:48The Ohio State.
- 8:50Yeah.
- 8:52But after every single announcement of a signing, it was like, how does this affect the Toronto Maple Leafs?
- 9:01They're the LeBron of the NHL.
- 9:04How does this signing of Ryan O'Reilly and the National Predators, one of the biggest free agents in this free agency this year,
- 9:15how does this affect the Toronto Maple Leafs?
- 9:18It doesn't. It doesn't affect them at all.
- 9:22So they announced that and they were like, alright, how does this Ryan Reeves signing really that Toronto signs?
- 9:33No, it's Ryan Reeves.
- 9:35Oh no.
- 9:37You know, the bane of existence on all NHL players.
- 9:42Then they go to an interview with him. A live interview. It's like Zoom or whatever.
- 9:48He's outside, shades on, in Vegas. He's definitely hungover.
- 9:55He's just like, hey, what's up guys?
- 10:00He's like, what do you think that you can do for the Toronto Maple Leafs? He's like, who?
- 10:07He was like, I don't know, I'm just going to beat people up.
- 10:12He said that. He was just like, I'm just going to beat some people up.
- 10:18Maybe score a goal every 10 games and then beat some people up.
- 10:23Not even 10.
- 10:26I think he's on a three goal average.
- 10:31Could be. It's not very many.
- 10:34He's out there getting cardio.
- 10:37It's important. I know.
- 10:39He's helping people's lights in.
- 10:44But yeah. Free agency started.
- 10:48I think I called it that Westbrook would stay with the Clippers. I think I said something like that.
- 10:55I think we were pretty. I think we were all just kind of like, yeah.
- 10:58I think I said either Clippers or the Rockets, which we can get to the Rockets in a little bit.
- 11:04What do the Rockets sign?
- 11:07Dylan Brooks.
- 11:09Oh, right.
- 11:11And they got someone who was actually kind of get a basketball.
- 11:16I forget who.
- 11:18They gave Dylan Brooks like $80 million.
- 11:20Yeah, $80 million for four years. I remember that.
- 11:22Everyone's like, oh yeah, learn Chinese, pal.
- 11:27Now it just has to speak.
- 11:29Now it just has to speak Texas.
- 11:31Oh God.
- 11:33Just throwing a couple of howdy's and you're good to go.
- 11:37Howdy-duty.
- 11:40Yeah, I can't remember all of the NBA free agency stuff just because the majority of the news was just,
- 11:47what is Damien Lillard going to do?
- 11:50Is he?
- 11:52Loyalty anymore, man.
- 11:54It's dead.
- 11:56Things change.
- 11:58I hope that's a joke.
- 12:00Yeah.
- 12:02I was like, I hope you're joking.
- 12:04That was his whole thing.
- 12:06I do though, I am like ditch the, never run away from the grind thing.
- 12:10He's demanding to get traded to a team that just played in the NBA finals.
- 12:14Or twice in the last three years.
- 12:16Yeah.
- 12:18Yeah.
- 12:21Not a good look.
- 12:23How old is he?
- 12:25Not really that old.
- 12:26Okay, because I feel like he's just been in Portland for,
- 12:29I mean he has been in Portland.
- 12:30Has he been there for like 13 years?
- 12:32I mean his whole career.
- 12:33He's been there for his whole career, I don't know.
- 12:35I don't know how long though.
- 12:37I don't know, if he doesn't look very old.
- 12:39He's not. I'm looking it up now.
- 12:41Um, and.
- 12:4532.
- 12:46He's had a bunch of injuries though, last few years.
- 12:49He's kind of in that like, I need to win.
- 12:54I mean, I definitely kind of mode.
- 12:56I definitely get it.
- 12:58I mean, he's like, nobody wants to come here because it's Portland.
- 13:02Yeah.
- 13:03Nobody wants to live in Portland.
- 13:05A lawless wastelayer.
- 13:07So bad.
- 13:09Like legitimately without Lillard, they have like, well, I guess not like a scoot,
- 13:14but still like they had one of the worst rosters in the league.
- 13:18They had Narkic.
- 13:20They, I think they still have him, but like he's always injured.
- 13:26Yeah.
- 13:27Like he had that like one, like pretty good year.
- 13:29And since then, I feel like the bubble year when they like made that run ever since
- 13:34then, I feel like make the playoffs ever since I feel like he's always heard.
- 13:37Yeah.
- 13:38So I mean, that's, that's really just been the bulk of the news on the NBA side.
- 13:43Um,
- 13:44Piss that Kyrie didn't sign somewhere.
- 13:47Yeah.
- 13:48I want to see some drama.
- 13:49Yeah.
- 13:50No, he re-signed with Alice.
- 13:52Oh, he re-signed with the Dino.
- 13:54Damn.
- 13:55And then Hardin demanded a trade.
- 13:58Yeah.
- 13:59Third time in three years, I think.
- 14:00Yeah.
- 14:01Third time's the charm.
- 14:04Where's he going?
- 14:05I don't know, bro.
- 14:07I mean, some people are saying back to the Rockets.
- 14:09That's what I said last week.
- 14:10Yeah.
- 14:11I mean, he knows the strip club circuit there.
- 14:15I mean, send them home.
- 14:16Yeah.
- 14:17Operation Fat James Hardin is about to go.
- 14:21It's just, it's just like, I, like, I know that like, when you're a player in one of
- 14:31these leagues, you should get some saying, where'd you go?
- 14:34But like, this is just, he's never happy anywhere.
- 14:38Yeah.
- 14:39Who would trade for him?
- 14:41I mean, he's still pretty good, or still really good.
- 14:44Yeah.
- 14:45I mean, I guess he can.
- 14:46He's still average, just like, two points a game.
- 14:49He's still a very good player.
- 14:51It's just, I don't know.
- 14:54It, when you're, when you're thinking about like, leveraging the future for the present,
- 15:00like, the future becomes the future the next year.
- 15:05Yeah.
- 15:06He's gonna have to go to a team who is in like, who's in win now.
- 15:10Yeah.
- 15:11Because that's all he ever plays for.
- 15:13Yeah.
- 15:14You good?
- 15:15Yeah.
- 15:16Sorry.
- 15:17Okay.
- 15:18Table broke.
- 15:19Yeah.
- 15:20We're fine.
- 15:21I'm trying to think of any other pre-agents.
- 15:22The NBA.
- 15:23Dre Mom went back to Golden State.
- 15:25Yeah.
- 15:26We knew that was gonna happen.
- 15:27Yeah.
- 15:28Yeah.
- 15:29Yeah.
- 15:30Yeah.
- 15:31Yeah.
- 15:32Yeah.
- 15:33Yeah.
- 15:34Yeah.
- 15:35We knew that was gonna happen.
- 15:36Yeah.
- 15:37You can't really see him playing anywhere else.
- 15:40No.
- 15:41Nobody else would tolerate that.
- 15:43Yeah.
- 15:44Like, it's just, he's not like a goon, but he does operate in a goonish behavior.
- 15:53And like, he can definitely get away with that in Golden State.
- 15:58Because when everyone is on, they're like unbeatable.
- 16:04So, yeah.
- 16:05The goonish behavior can continue.
- 16:10Just trying to look at other notable signings.
- 16:14There weren't a whole lot of them.
- 16:18I don't know.
- 16:19I didn't feel like, so like I was mainly keeping up with NHL free agency.
- 16:23Yeah.
- 16:24I didn't love it.
- 16:25Neither did I.
- 16:26They weren't like.
- 16:27I was like, this is okay.
- 16:29They were like, so many.
- 16:32After the first day.
- 16:34It was not a big name.
- 16:36Even like the first day, I was like, this is okay.
- 16:41Like, there are so many one year deals.
- 16:45Yeah.
- 16:46And I'm like, what is this?
- 16:48Like, all these guys are just gonna be back on the market next year.
- 16:52All the same people.
- 16:54And it's just like, what, one year?
- 16:57Like, yeah, like, cool.
- 17:00You got a bag, I guess.
- 17:02But like, pretty cheap.
- 17:04Like Dallas got Matt Duchain for $3 million.
- 17:08Yeah.
- 17:09For one year.
- 17:10Oh, is it just one year?
- 17:11Yeah.
- 17:12That's wild.
- 17:13And it's like, damn.
- 17:15It's like, well, shit, we could have done that.
- 17:17Yeah.
- 17:18It's like, we could have kept him for that.
- 17:22But damn.
- 17:23How do you feel about Duchain?
- 17:26Definitely cut.
- 17:27Definitely a shock.
- 17:28Yeah.
- 17:29That was a big shock when I saw it.
- 17:32And it was, it was like, whoa, okay, we're going to be very bad.
- 17:38Yes.
- 17:39This is not going to be good, but tickets will be cheap.
- 17:45Maybe I can go to some games this year.
- 17:47I don't think we'll be that bad.
- 17:49We're going to be worse, but we're not going to be.
- 17:52I don't think it's going to be like the coyotes or anything.
- 17:55Yeah.
- 17:56We're not going to be the coyotes.
- 17:59No, nobody can be the coyotes.
- 18:02Yeah.
- 18:03That's a special, that's a specialty to be on.
- 18:09After the free agent signings of us signing Ryan O'Reilly and, and Nyquist.
- 18:13Yeah.
- 18:14So those are huge.
- 18:15That was like, whoa, maybe we'll be okay.
- 18:20We'll just be okay.
- 18:21Yeah.
- 18:22And it was just like this Ryan O'Reilly signing, like, I feel like that's a steal that we got him at.
- 18:30And you know, we're not going to win.
- 18:33Like we're not going to like, we're not going to make the playoffs.
- 18:37Never know.
- 18:38I never do know.
- 18:40But he's definitely like the veteran presence that you want with all of our young guys that are trying to make the lineup and stay in the lineup.
- 18:51And become, you know, regular NHLers.
- 18:55So when that was signed, that was, that was cool.
- 18:59The Nyquist signing, like it's like, oh, okay.
- 19:02Like, I like him too.
- 19:04I've known that, you know, he's a good player.
- 19:07I've always had him on my teams and like my franchise mode and shell.
- 19:12While we, I don't know.
- 19:15He's always a solid player.
- 19:16He's just like really good.
- 19:17Like, yeah.
- 19:18Second third line guy. I don't know why.
- 19:21I know it's happening.
- 19:22Yeah.
- 19:24And Luke Shen.
- 19:28Fine.
- 19:29It's fine for that much.
- 19:30Yeah.
- 19:31A bit suspicious, but at the same time, I don't know, we have the space.
- 19:35We have so much cap space.
- 19:39Should just got Connor McDavid.
- 19:41Yeah, we should have just traded for.
- 19:42What are we doing, Barry?
- 19:44Just created for Connor McDavid.
- 19:47So we got Matthew Wood.
- 19:50Former teammate of.
- 19:53Badaard.
- 19:54Yeah.
- 19:55Former roommate.
- 19:56Yeah.
- 19:57And how do you say that guy's name?
- 20:01Mullen Dyke.
- 20:02Mullen Dyke.
- 20:03He was on the same team with Badaard as well.
- 20:06We're back.
- 20:07Let's go.
- 20:08Oh man.
- 20:11I don't think Chicago is going to be bad.
- 20:15No.
- 20:16It's like the best player in the world, apparently.
- 20:18Yeah.
- 20:19But like, it's like they got.
- 20:21They got someone.
- 20:22They got Taylor Hall.
- 20:23Yeah.
- 20:24The trader for Taylor Hall.
- 20:25And they got some other some other guy.
- 20:29I like the dudes on TSN.
- 20:30We're just like, Oh yeah, Connor Badaard could definitely score like 100 points.
- 20:34Maybe even north of that.
- 20:35Jesus.
- 20:36I'm like, bro, he's a rookie.
- 20:39He's a rookie.
- 20:40He hasn't played a single second.
- 20:42Of NHL I like and your calling.
- 20:45for a hundred plus. Yeah. The last rookie to score a hundred points, I think, was Sydney Crosby, who also had a hundred penalty minutes.
- 20:56Really? Yeah. That's awesome. That same year. That's awesome. I know that. That's like my
- 21:03shell player stat. Yeah. A hundred points, a hundred pems. A hundred assists. Hundreds on the board. So, I don't know.
- 21:16Like, Chicago's going to be, I think they're going to be better than us, probably. They very well could be. I mean, I think having
- 21:25Soros is definitely like, is going to win us like a bunch of games. Corey Perry is the other one. That's who the fuck, yeah.
- 21:35That's fitting. Yeah. And they traded for him. They signed him for four million dollars. Yeah. For one year. Four for one.
- 21:46Ancient-ass Corey Perry. Jesus. That guy's still a pest, though. I fucking hate him. He's still a shit-disturber. I hate him so much.
- 21:57Yeah, he's not cool. I don't like him either. He's very uncool. He's probably the most uncool guy that I can make. Nobody likes him.
- 22:04Yeah. Nobody likes Corey Perry. Yeah, that guy sucks. I hope the Blackhawks make it to the final and losing him. I hope they don't make it to the
- 22:13end. I hope they're just bad. Yeah, I guess. I hope they don't make it that far. Well, you know, they... I hope they don't make the playoffs,
- 22:21so I'm being perfectly honest. Yeah. I hope they just miss the playoffs. In heartbreaking fashion. Yeah. So, like, the lottery pick that they get
- 22:34will not be good. But, yeah. What else? I'm just chilling. Cedar Rapids. Yeah. Just taking it day by day. Yeah. This is a riveting podcast.
- 22:50There's... I mean... We're coming up on the MLB All-Star Break 2, which is like... One day with no sports. Zero sports.
- 22:59Or two days. Yeah. Zero sports. Besides the WNBA. I think there's one day where there's not even WNBA game. So...
- 23:08That's not sports. As we discussed. I think I've told the story on here before of that last year. I turned on... One of those that day
- 23:17turned on... It was 10.30 in the morning. There was a WNBA game. It was the only game on... In the middle of the week. Yeah. It was like
- 23:25a Thursday. I was like, I'll turn on, put some action on it, see what happens. And I was watching it. I was watching it with one of my
- 23:33buddies at work. And after a while I was like, you know what? This really isn't like that bad. Like, it's... It's fine. They're almost good.
- 23:43And then as soon as I said it, there was like four possessions in a row. It was airball. Airball. It was like, okay. Never mind. This is terrible.
- 23:52Well, it was like that with watching the women's like Final Four. Oh yeah. And they're in CAA bracket because they're like...
- 24:05I do not remember who was in the Final Four. Iowa, LSU, some other... I don't know. I can't tell you. I just don't because I played in the
- 24:18National Championship. Yeah. So I don't know. But I'm pretty sure Iowa was playing this other team that I can't name.
- 24:28It might have been Louisville. It might have been Louisville actually. They got four. They were red. The team was red colored.
- 24:35But at halftime the score was like 18 to 27. I was like, oh, what is this? That's terrible. That's just...
- 24:52It's a different league, man. One time in high school, I was playing... I was playing church league basketball. Classic.
- 25:02And it was our first game. We had never played together before. We'd never practiced or anything. We got beat 23 to 8.
- 25:10It might have been 30 or something. But we scored eight points.
- 25:18So was this church basketball... was it like a weekly thing? Yeah. It was every Saturday. Every Saturday for how long?
- 25:30I don't know. I can't remember. A couple months. A few months. At our church we did a January basketball. Which was like...
- 25:40Yeah. Basketball in January. Yeah. Four weeks to climb the ladder. And then like... Eventually you play the adults.
- 25:50Play the parents. We never win that game. We did one year. We did one year. I would have gloated. And I made the winning shot.
- 26:04There you go. That's awesome. Wow. And I'm gloating now. I was in eighth grade. And somehow I was like, put me in! Put me in!
- 26:15Down under the basket. Hit that little square. Money every time. It's a layup. No, it's not a layup. It's not a layup.
- 26:28It wasn't a layup because I didn't charge towards the basket. I was planted. Every time. Money.
- 26:36That's what the coach says. You hit the red square and it goes in most of the time.
- 26:43That was my move. Whenever I played basketball in middle school. In elementary school. Eventually for church basketball. Upward basketball.
- 26:55Down low. Corner pocket. Money. Every time.
- 27:02My move was being absolutely useless. Losing the ball. Missing that. Ball fell.
- 27:14What? Boom.
- 27:16Getting hit in the face. Missing free throws. All the bad things.
- 27:23I was in the middle of a game. One of our games. This one kid. Air ball to free throw. Dead silent in the gym. His name was Rob. His dad was sitting there in the stands.
- 27:37He was here. Oh, Rob. I was like, oh, I would. Oh, no. I would just quit and walk out. Yeah. There was one time when I was playing basketball in elementary school.
- 27:54My shoe came untied as I was, you know, taking the, taking the ball out. Like we gained possession back. We were taking the ball back to the other side. My shoe came untied. And, you know, called a timeout like you do.
- 28:07And then my dad comes down from this, from the stands and tries to tie my shoe for me. And I'm like, what are you doing? I got this. I know how to tie a shoe.
- 28:21I must have been in like fourth, maybe fifth grade. So, you know, you're not like totally awkward with your body yet, but you're starting to like, you're starting to like get there where you're like embarrassed of everything.
- 28:37Yeah. So I was like, what are you doing?
- 28:41I was like when Alan Iverson's mom was bragging his hair before a game one time. It's like that. But worse.
- 28:52Yeah. Damn, I learned how to tie my shoes in kindergarten, bro.
- 28:56I learned. Yeah, I learned how to do that. Oh, yeah. They're like, I'm not saying I didn't know how to tie my shoes. I know. I'm just saying like, I don't know.
- 29:06I had a lady come teach us at school. Yeah. Wild. She had this little like fucking thing that was like shoes. No, it wasn't shoes.
- 29:19It was like this, this clipboard that had like holes drilled into it and painted on it was like a shoe. And it was like, this is how you do it. And then she just bring a shoe.
- 29:31Maybe she was wearing it. I don't know. That's just stinky feet. She had shoe laces. That's weird. That's odd. She was like, okay, put this over here. And I was like, all right.
- 29:47Okay.
- 29:48Your tax dollars at work fucking tie and shoes. A lady comes in with a not board with not even a real shoe, a cardboard shoe. Yeah, it's like, okay, and she got paid for that. She probably got paid to do that.
- 30:05Most likely, most likely. I mean, come in and do that for nobody does anything for free. Yeah.
- 30:11I remember I think this was like first grade or something. They try to like, make us learn Spanish for like half a year. They had some person come in like, not even like, well, back then you didn't have like periods.
- 30:25There's like, for like 20 minutes a day, somebody would come in and try to like teach us Spanish. We're like, like, six.
- 30:32And then I bet I know what happened. I bet I don't know why it stopped because some parent came in and was like, no, not my time. Okay.
- 30:47You're in first grade. You didn't know. I didn't know. It might have. It was definitely elementary school.
- 30:56So riveting stories from our past. The past episode.
- 31:03Flashback episode. The flashback episode. You know, every sitcom has a flashback episode or a clip show. Yeah, no. I hate that shit. So we shouldn't do it.
- 31:14To our listeners. I'm not going to do it. Doing it now.
- 31:19Not the clip episode. Okay. I'm not doing that. No.
- 31:22Okay.
- 31:24Sports sports. The Reds win today. They'll be five and one in their last six.
- 31:31They are pretty good. White hot. Yep. Right now. They won 12 in a row, lost three in a row. And I believe since then, since they lost three in a row, they're five and one.
- 31:43So it seems like us doing the pod has been good for the Reds. I think so. One thing doesn't hurt. I think it is. So my buddy, Josh, shout out.
- 31:53He had a kid and I said I brought up five and ones because since his son has been on this earth since I read the five.
- 32:04I mean, since he's been in this world, yes, good. Yeah. A good team. Oh, I mean, we're watching. We're watching it with him. He was he was in the room sleeping while we were watching.
- 32:16They had a walk off when it was electric. I want to be like, wake up. Swatch this.
- 32:27I tell you to shake babies, right? Yeah, that's what you got to do.
- 32:31They tell you to shake them when they're loud. Yeah. Yeah. You shake them enough and then they stop. They do stop. Yeah.
- 32:39Just shake them hard. You go to prison, but they do stuff. That's what they say. Five and one in their last six. They're probably going to win tonight.
- 32:50That would be nice. I don't know how to feel about this. This is very new for you. Yeah, they haven't been good in like, like over a decade. Yeah.
- 33:00So you're like, I don't know what to do. Right. You're like, maybe it's like when the winds happen, you're like, this is amazing. Yeah, I can't believe this. Yes.
- 33:12And so it's just going to get higher and higher. My dad said if we make the playoffs where we're going to a game, you have to. That's gonna be electric. Yeah.
- 33:22That'd be wild. I'm truly trying not to get my hopes up for that. Still in like July just started. You shouldn't. Two whole months of base or more than that, but two plus months of baseball left.
- 33:34It kind of sounds like when the Predators, the year they won the president's trophy. I mean, that year it was just like we were unstoppable. Yeah, like watching every game. Like we did have the mentality.
- 33:53Like we did go to the Stanley Cup final and we do have expectations. They had the run it back mentality for the entire year. Yeah.
- 34:01And but like us as fans, it still felt like didn't feel real. Yeah, it still felt like every game was like, I hope we can win. Yeah.
- 34:13That's what being, you know, a Tennessee sports fan is like. Yeah. In all aspects, NBA, NHL, NFL, college, you know, it's like, God, I hope we'll win today.
- 34:29It's never like, oh, we're going to beat the piss out of him. It's like, no, you're going in there. We'll see what happens. But like something's going wrong.
- 34:40I do think it is like really nice when from like a gambling perspective, you can get a feel for your team. Oh, yeah. Like, like, I honestly don't like betting on the Titans, because.
- 34:58I really don't like been on any of my teams. I rarely do it. I've been betting on the Reds a lot. Do you guys believe in paying for a win?
- 35:08We bet against your team. I have done that once with the Titans. It was when we beat the Chiefs and like insane game. Oh, they're like 33.
- 35:19Yeah. And I was like, I bet the Chiefs like minus six and a half or something. But you paid for a win and you were still happy. Yes, I was. But I was like, I could have been happier if I didn't lose money.
- 35:32I'm not even saying I would bet on I wouldn't have bet on the Titans, but I'm just not going to bet against them. That's the thing, though. It's like.
- 35:40I'm like, sometimes it's like you're not going to bet on the Titans because you're not going to bet on like pretty much any of your teams because you know they stink.
- 35:49Anything can go wrong. Yeah, like, like I've been a fan of these teams for 20 plus years. I have seen it from end to end.
- 35:59What can go wrong will go wrong at some point. I didn't really get really even bet on the Vols that much last year.
- 36:08They're the number one team in the country at one point.
- 36:12But I will I will say I'll bring up a little story when the Rams were the hottest team in the league Stafford's first year.
- 36:23You're the one the Super Bowl and we played them on Sunday Night Football.
- 36:27I just. Oh yeah, I just had I just knew I was like, we are at least going to cover this game.
- 36:34Sure, but we're going to win. Yeah, that's that's what I mean.
- 36:40Yeah, you do get it. Everyone was counting us out. We were we were I think we were more than a touchdown dogs in that thing.
- 36:47We're like nine. Yeah. Yeah. And I was like, we're at least going to cover. Yeah, sometimes you do kind of get that feeling, especially on the prime time.
- 36:55Yeah. When we played the bills two years ago, when Josh Allen got stuff to stuff at the one Titans Moneyline and that.
- 37:05And then three years ago, the COVID season, when we played them on like a Tuesday, I bet on the Titans that night because.
- 37:13Oh yeah, that was a Tuesday night. I just wanted some action.
- 37:16The King Henry stiff arm.
- 37:18We beat the shit out of them. We beat the fuck out of them. I remember I was like a bar watching. I was like, oh, dude, I was in a hotel.
- 37:27I was I was also quarantined. Yeah.
- 37:32We had an out we had an outbreak at the house and I was like, see ya. Yeah.
- 37:40It was like October at that point. Yeah. But it was like, it was really nice to have a Monday night game and then a Tuesday night game and then a Thursday night game.
- 37:54Oh, that was that season rock. Yeah, that's the way that people count that season out. That season was awesome.
- 37:59We had that random like Steelers Ravens like Wednesday afternoon. Yeah.
- 38:04Like 330 kick awesome. I left work early for that. I was like, I'm watching this game.
- 38:11And I bet the under it hit but it was like it was miserable because I think Pittsburgh was like scored really quick.
- 38:20Shit. Yeah, but people count that season out. I personally loved that. I did too.
- 38:25Even though I don't think the Titans got very far in the playoffs. I think they were.
- 38:31First round. That was when we lost to the Ravens.
- 38:36Yep. Oh yeah. Get about that. Yep. Because that was like a limited capacity.
- 38:42Yeah. Yeah. I remember that. That's all we remember from that game. Yep. That's all we. Yeah. Maybe you.
- 38:53No, I remember the game. It's just it's all that needs to be said about that game.
- 38:59Most games that we go to just being pissed off and sad. Exactly.
- 39:06There's very few games where I've left. I'm like, this is a good day. Yeah.
- 39:12That was awesome. We should do it again next week. I can't wait to run it back next week.
- 39:17Last year when we went, I only went to one game was the Broncos game. We won.
- 39:22Yeah. We always boring as hell. And it was so cold. I was like, we won. I don't care. Get me home.
- 39:29This sucks. Yeah. God, that game was miserable. 10 to seven or something. It was like 1613. Yeah.
- 39:38It was like 10 degrees. Yeah. This is brutal. It's pretty cold. It was brutal, but we did it.
- 39:46I had to borrow hand warmers because my those very nice ladies gave you what shirt didn't have pockets.
- 39:55Oh, yeah. You should. You should. You should. You like putting them like in my pants.
- 40:01That picture is on my Instagram. You should. You should. The picture. You should throw this up on the screen.
- 40:09So cold. Chris says it's like hands like tucked in my shirt and he's just like, okay, take the picture. Let's go home.
- 40:18So cold. I think that's posted on our Instagram. On our Instagram. Yeah, I think you're right.
- 40:24Because we all did something together. Yeah. Switching gears a little bit. I don't want to say I'm actively rooting against a child.
- 40:35But I really want this Will Smith kid for the sharks to be a total, total bust.
- 40:40Oh, I didn't just to make these people in the comments. Chris was putting up Numbies. Yeah.
- 40:47Chris put up some Numbies on TikTok for us. Terrified for a little bit.
- 40:51When you when you sent that in the in our group chat, I was like, this is awesome. The internet's not real.
- 40:57Those people aren't real. Also, people, I'm sorry, people in the comments think Viva La Vida is quote the most hype song can go suck one.
- 41:07Like that's not a hype. It's just not like it's good. It's not. But I've never sit there. Let's go.
- 41:15Right before a pump. I'm like, no, none of you have ever done that.
- 41:26Don't act like it is one act like don't try and take something that it's not one guy in the comments.
- 41:32I did like because there's this other guy who is being a dipshit.
- 41:36Like always, I'll give you say it's going to be bad because it's music.
- 41:40You call them a stud. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. And then some guy was like, this is a joke, bud. Yeah.
- 41:46You are a hero. Overall, that was good. But yeah, I kind of want him to I mean, not actively rooting against him.
- 42:02But if he turns out to be a bus, hashtag Chris was right called it.
- 42:08We'll have to wait like probably like six years. But yeah, that is true.
- 42:14I like that. I gauge six years because that's what the Red Wings just did to their sixth overall pick. Yeah, they were just like out.
- 42:24You're out of here. See ya. Yeah, Stevie Y has no no patience for Tom Fulery.
- 42:30If you're good, you're on. Yep. If you're not good, you out.
- 42:37Filly's just one against Tampa Bay. You had it. Is that relevant to you? What? Is that relevant to you? Yeah.
- 42:46Okay. Very congratulations to you. I was a little worried because I spilled some salt earlier today.
- 42:52So I was like, oh, no, I'm gonna lose all my bets. Spilled salt. Yeah. It's like a bad luck. I've never heard of that.
- 43:01Yeah, if you like, well, I threw some over my shoulder. Yeah, you're fine. I don't know if that always works though.
- 43:08That's what they say to do. I don't know if is that like a foolproof thing?
- 43:12Wait, I think I did do that one time and my mom saw me. She was like, what do you do? Just throw in salt. Just throw in salt.
- 43:21I threw it like I like faced away from my sink. So I threw it into my sink. That's good. I don't want to make a mess. I was hoping you were at like a restaurant or something.
- 43:33No, it was a home. There was a woman behind you and just like, ah, oh, sorry. God do it. I mean, it's like, oh, I spilled some salt and she was like, oh, I get it. You're fine.
- 43:46Oh, you're good. Don't worry. Let me pay for your meal. And then it's like, oh, the salt does work. See, just baseball. His, yeah, sucked. No football.
- 43:56How did the Bells officially done? How did your bets go for the championship game? Yes, went one and one because Pittsburgh got their shit rocked, but it went under.
- 44:08Okay. Okay. And that brings the overall record 19 and 12. What we take, we take. Yep. I forget what my XFL one was, but I think it was like 10 units.
- 44:19There it is. There it is. Pretty successful. Best amateur professional gambler in the country. Professional football better in the country. Chris Walker as of now.
- 44:34I would like to see, I would like to see some numbers, if I'm being honest, from somebody else who's been on every single XFL game in like half the US. Yeah, try us.
- 44:45What was that?
- 44:47Oh,
- 44:48Oh,
- 44:58Oh, also Friday, the Toronto Blue Jays are playing the Detroit Tigers. Alec Minoa is making his first start since like, months ago for the Blue Jays.
- 45:08He's terrible. So was that the one that got sent down? He got his shit rocked by much like 18 year olds. Yeah.
- 45:16So I'm going to be betting again. I probably will.
- 45:20That all the Tigers? Yeah, I can have a bad feeling now. Well, everyone's going to be on the Tigers.
- 45:27I'm just going to do it.
- 45:30You know, sometimes the public is right. No, yeah, definitely.
- 45:35It's a reason why the public is on, you know, a certain team.
- 45:41But also, I only get scared of the public when it's prime time in a fell. Yeah. And all the commentators get their picks.
- 45:52And all across the board is the like exact opposite of my pick. And I'm like, or, or all across the board, my pick.
- 46:04I like it when I have the opposite. Yeah. Okay. I worded that wrong. No, but yeah. When it's like I have the line or spread and it's just like all across the board.
- 46:14I'm like, we're doomed. Game hasn't even started. We're doomed.
- 46:19It's not good. Yeah. That all the commentators that that's death sentence. Yes, absolutely.
- 46:28I don't know if you all saw this October 21st. I saw a slate.
- 46:34Put this up to will. It's just makes Chris wet or a line for a lot of screen shot.
- 46:43Okay. Yeah, Tennessee. None of these times been determined dead. Obviously with Tennessee, Bama, Michigan, Michigan State one. No, October 21.
- 46:52No, no, no. Yeah, this is like we whatever. But yeah, the Michigan Michigan State and state Ohio State UCLA state.
- 47:00You tell USC, Clemson Miami, Texas Tech BYU conference game this year. Oh, yeah, Texas and Houston. Baylor Cincinnati could be alright.
- 47:11So, oh, you know, that was originally supposed to be the date of my sister's wedding.
- 47:18What happened? My dad said, no, no, no to the date or no to just the wedding. I don't know. I'm not sure.
- 47:27I was making a joke, but we talked about it one time and I think just something didn't work out with the venue or like they could they could get it moved up till September.
- 47:38But their wedding is week one of college football. Okay.
- 47:44Which is like, no, it's fine. But there's your look at it. I mean, when there's like two good games. Yeah, it's weak ones like I think week one.
- 47:56But I'm not sure. I think Tennessee and Virginia play on like Friday or something.
- 48:02Is it a friend? I'm trying to go. I swear to God. If I have to go to a fucking wedding this year, I probably will. I don't know. They play on Saturday. Okay. I don't even know who's who I would know that would be getting married.
- 48:16I'm going to one. But Tennessee plays like UT Martin or something. Yeah, it's fine. Yeah, that's fine. I don't care about that. Yeah.
- 48:23But I don't know with with weddings. I get people that they hate them like in the fall.
- 48:32But have you ever been to a summer wedding? Yes, it's horrible. It's awful. I don't think it's so bad. Yeah, it's so hot.
- 48:44And it's usually out in this dusty field. You don't do that. You need to have it inside. Yeah. But God, they are well, like usually usually like the reception is like inside ceremony ceremony is like outside under some like old oak tree or something on an old slave plantation.
- 49:05Yeah, it's just so hot. It's awful. Yeah. So I'd rather I'd rather like just take the fall weddings, if they come around. Because it would be nice. Yeah, but then it might rain. Rain anytime.
- 49:24Oh, yeah. So that's first Saturday. There's not a whole lot. Yeah, it's like fine. It's state Indiana. It'll be on. We'll be excited to watch it. Obviously, you Alabama.
- 49:37Oh, God, really? Yeah. And then North Carolina, South Carolina. Isn't that those are the big ones? And it's not week one. That's week one. That's week one. Okay, it might be week zero.
- 49:48Week zero. It's worse. Yeah, week zero is like awful. I only think that I think what's the date on week one. I get confused.
- 49:57The second. Oh, hold on. May I? What day is the wedding? If you know on the top of your head? Well, I'm not going to say it out loud. All right.
- 50:09You should mention the venue, too. No. With the date and the address. Yeah. Yeah, this is the this is the Saturday slate. Week zero. Yeah. Or no, for the wedding. For the wedding. Oh, that's four. Yeah. Okay.
- 50:27This might be the one. Oh, Ole Miss, Alabama. Yeah, that's my mom's birthday. My mom and dad are going to Ole Miss, Alabama this year. It was my dad's birthday. Oh, I was like, why? Or it's my dad's father's day present. And it's on my mom's birthday. And that's going to be hell.
- 50:42Double trouble. Are you going? No. Okay. It's in Alabama. It's like, Nick Saban Lane Kiffin. Like, my mom couldn't have, couldn't pick two people more than she could.
- 50:56That is a nightmare. Yeah. Match up for any Tennessee fan. Not a whole lot. So Florida, Florida State Clemson. When you go to the Texas Baylor, the volunteer games with your family, does your dad go?
- 51:13He, I usually don't go. Well, last year, I didn't go to my family. If I go with my family, it's like my mom and my sisters. My dad went to the Ole Miss game last year, two years ago, when they started throwing shit on me. The mustard? Yeah. That was electric.
- 51:32I think, and then he went to Tennessee, no, he didn't go to that one. He went to Tennessee, Alabama within the last few years. He didn't go last year because we were at a wedding. Right.
- 51:42I'm sure he would have hated that. Oh, he would. He hated being, like he hated just watching. He hated being alive. Yeah. I didn't give a shit though. That was incredible.
- 51:57I remember that. Yeah. I think that's a game. Like, I'm not even a fan of like Tennessee, like per se, I guess. I guess I root for them because you're my friend. And it's like, oh, I like to see my friends happy.
- 52:16It's in my blood. It's like whatever to me, but I don't think I'll ever forget that game. That was just like, that game was so much fun. That game was the best. From like start to finish, it was just like, oh my God. It had everything.
- 52:31So many ups and downs. Yeah. It had everything. It had everything. And then, of course, the storming of the field just, my sisters, you remember my sister was there. She still has them.
- 52:45If you were at that game and you didn't go on the field, she still has like a, she has a patch of grass from. She just took some grass. I would do that shit. I think I heard something that like downtown Knoxville is offering like submarine, like trying to organize like
- 53:04some marine tours so they could go see the goalpost that's in the bottom of their. They got it out. That's not why I get it out. They've had to have gotten it out. That was the rowing goalpost in the river.
- 53:19You know, there's a conspiracy that about that goalpost. Oh yeah. Well, was this that maybe not probably that the goalpost were like flawed. Yeah. And that's why the Alabama kicker missed.
- 53:32But the Tennessee kicker, but the Tennessee kicker made it. But then the students and the faculty were all in on it. Yeah, every fan was in on it. So that's why they dug the goalposts out of the ground and threw it in the river.
- 53:48Everybody was in on it, but the entire nation.
- 53:52That's hilarious. And they were like, get it out. Get out of here. I just love watching the videos of just the goalposts just like marching down the street.
- 54:05Just like turning corners and just like, we're going to the river.
- 54:11I remember I remember seeing a video of Peyton Manning going to like this bar and being like, it was probably his bar. Does he have a bar? Yeah, I didn't know that. So Loune 16.
- 54:25Shout out. It's probably, I guess it was that bar. He's scared. Oh, he's it. There's fireworks going on. So bandit is afraid.
- 54:36I don't know if you hear anything. But I just remember seeing this video that made me laugh because it was just two sides of a different coin.
- 54:45Because Peyton Manning went up to like, I guess his bar on like, and there's like a stage for like a band or whatever. He goes, he says some shit about the game. And he's like, you guys ready to hear some good country music.
- 55:01And everybody's like, yeah. And then, you know, Peyton Manning doesn't curse. So it's very wholesome what he says. He doesn't say like, we beat that ass. No gloating. Just like, how about the balls or whatever.
- 55:14How about the involves? Yeah. And then he brings up Morgan Wallen and Morgan Wallen, the complete opposite of Peyton Manning. Yeah, pretty much just goes, how about those motherfucking balls?
- 55:30It's from Noxford. Yeah. Yeah. God, I don't know if you could tell by the all of his songs. No. I couldn't tell at all. I had to look that up on Wikipedia. I was like, hmm, I wonder where this man is from.
- 55:47I just remember seeing that video that made me laugh so hard. Just very nice Peyton Manning. Oh yeah. Never seen Peyton Manning be mean except for that.
- 55:57Oh, well, no. What he yells on Jeff Saturday. Yes, I did see that. Please say it.
- 56:04Is Jeff Saturday still the coach? No. No, I don't think so. Who's the coach? They hired like the Eagles, Cubic or OC or someone. Yeah. I feel dumb.
- 56:16I feel dumb for even asking that, but I try to keep like Colts. I mean, you said that, but I knew he wasn't bad first. I was like, is he?
- 56:24Yeah, I had to think about it for a second. Just one. No, because I remember when they were interviewing other candidates, they interviewed Jeff Saturday twice.
- 56:33Twice, yeah. I was like, oh, God, please. Just, I'm still like flabbergasted over that hiring. Like there's three games left in the season, I think.
- 56:48It was not a lot. Like Reich is out, but yeah. I feel like and then they were just like, hey, come quit your cushy ESPN job to come coach the NFL. Have you ever coached before?
- 56:59Nice school. Coach my son's high school. He was like, oh, six and seven or something. Oh, you're hired. Just like, what a bonehead move.
- 57:10We had a bunch of bits. I love how they would. I love how they were like, we just want to get like a former player. It's like some juice. They had Reggie Wayne on the coaching staff.
- 57:23One of the best wide receivers ever. And they were like, nah, Saturday. Yeah.
- 57:29If this guy played center, you know, his only job was to hike the ball to Peyton Manning and then Aaron Rogers for a little bit.
- 57:42Yeah, whatever. Anyway, whatever.
- 57:48Well, we don't have, we don't have any corners this week.
- 57:55Let's start getting into WNBA. Chris's WNBA corner. Fuck it. Why not?
- 58:01For the, just why not? For the gigs. Yeah. Just for the low. Well, I mean, there's that one day where there's nothing. So I got to bet on something. Sure. Yeah.
- 58:11The shakes won't let you.
- 58:13I didn't gamble like two days last month.
- 58:17Oh, round of applause.
- 58:21Just saying. How hard was it? Not very. Because I mean, one day I was traveling. So I just didn't like, we left early in the morning.
- 58:31I didn't have time to do any research or anything. And one dashed him really. I don't know. I think it was like really hung over. I was like, ah, just get me on this flight.
- 58:41Can't be looking up numbers. My head hurts. I don't want to look at numbers.
- 58:47I'm about to go flying through the air is defying gravity. God doesn't want us to do this.
- 58:55Don't want to make him mad. That generate when we, well, when we left our flight, like going to Boston, our flight got delayed.
- 59:05And so I was sitting in the airport and they had the Reds game on and I put a $25 free bet from MGM on Ellie De La Cruz at a home run.
- 59:13And I was sitting at Party Foul watching a crushed one. $90 right there.
- 59:21It feels so good. I was like, let's get on this flight. I'm pumped. They had no gets my two and a half that night. They won by like 15.
- 59:31That was a good day. Good day. It's a plane drinks. I did had a few. They didn't charge me either. Their machine was broken.
- 59:39Yeah, bro. That shit's never broken. They make sure to charge you. You had a great day. You didn't have a good day. You had a great day.
- 59:49He took my card and he was like, he was like, it's the machine's not working. I'll try to come back later.
- 59:55And then like we landed and he came by. He was like, I just don't worry about it. I was like, okay.
- 1:00:01Thanks for the free $8 beer on this flight. I paid $15 at an airport for a beer.
- 1:00:11See, I remember you saying that but like at the beers I got at the airport weren't like that. It was expensive because it's buying a beer in public.
- 1:00:21I was at one of the restaurants. Oh, we were at Party Foul and we went to a bar for a little bit.
- 1:00:27Weren't you at like the Tootsies in the airport? Yeah. Yeah, that sounds about right. Big mistake. Yeah. Don't go to like...
- 1:00:34I got four of them before I realized that they were $15 each. $15 each? Yes.
- 1:00:42Oh, thanks. $60. Four beers. Four beers. That was tough. That was a tough one.
- 1:00:51Before the Vegas flight we took last year, I went to like a kiosk and they had like a margarita and a can. I hate those.
- 1:01:01I was like, well, I'm about to be on a plane for six hours and this says 12.5%. So it's a six hour flight. It was out of six hours. Whatever.
- 1:01:09I was just curious. It was like three. Okay. It's not important.
- 1:01:15But I was like, I'm about to be on a plane that... Spirit Airlines. So I'm about to be very uncomfortable for a couple hours.
- 1:01:24And usually like I thought that if you buy stuff in the airport, you can bring it on the plane.
- 1:01:33This was last year. This was last year. I don't fly a lot. Yeah, neither do I. And I knew that.
- 1:01:40I've thought in food from an airport and taken it on the plane. Really? Like what? Yeah.
- 1:01:46Like in a package or just like... They sell like sandwiches and stuff. Like kiosk and... You can do that.
- 1:01:55And so I thought the same thing applied to alcohol. But he gave me a cup and it said,
- 1:02:00you cannot take this cup on an airplane. And I was just like, we are boarding. We are boarding right now.
- 1:02:08I chugged as much as I could. And I was like, here, somebody, anybody just take a sip of this.
- 1:02:14Yeah, we all kind of split it. And that was like $14, I think. Yeah. Getting an airport drunk is fun.
- 1:02:25It was also like 10 in the morning. Yeah. I was like, well, we're going to Vegas.
- 1:02:29I don't like flying as I had to get an airport drunk. I was like, if you're getting me on this fucking plane, I'm getting drunk.
- 1:02:38Kelsey, we... I was like, you don't understand. We got... I need like at least four or five hours.
- 1:02:44We have to get there five hours early so I can get drunk. Our flight ended up getting delayed, so that was nice.
- 1:02:51It is... Yeah, you just go... It's like, well, it's a hangout. Our flight's delayed. Let's have a beer. We didn't get to Boston at like 1 a.m. though. That sucked.
- 1:03:01That's tough. Well, I think that'll do it. One more quick before... No, just last one about flying.
- 1:03:09It was the first time I've flown in 22 years since I was like five. So I thought like the captain...
- 1:03:16And on like TV sometimes they're like, all right, we're now about to begin our descent into wherever the hell...
- 1:03:21I don't know if it was because it was so late. They didn't do it because people were sleeping or if you just didn't do it.
- 1:03:26I just felt it drop and I was like, what the fuck is going on?
- 1:03:32But like a second I looked around and I was like, okay, no one else was freaking out. So I think we're just... It's pretty standard.
- 1:03:37But like that second I was like... Yeah. What airline? Southwest.
- 1:03:43I was like, this is it. It was honestly probably because it was so late.
- 1:03:49Yeah, I wanted to like start banging on that thing. Like give me my oxygen. Somebody help me.
- 1:03:54As long as the masks don't drop. It was just like that like one second where I was like... Yeah.
- 1:04:00But then I was like, I looked around like people were just like sleeping. It was like, okay.
- 1:04:04Yeah, nobody's waking up. Yeah.
- 1:04:08And then when we landed the flight attendant was like, like we're got back to Nashville.
- 1:04:14The flight attendant was like, all right, we have now landed in Miami and everyone was like, what?
- 1:04:20Where are we? It's just like, oh, sorry, we're going there next to where in Nashville.
- 1:04:24Thank God.
- 1:04:27Did we get on the wrong plane? That'd be a rough one. That would be my hell.
- 1:04:32I've got to do this again.
- 1:04:35Anyway, that's going to do be it for us.
- 1:04:41Riveting episode.
- 1:04:43I don't think anything is going on between now and next time.
- 1:04:49We'll bring some topics.
- 1:04:52We'll be more prepared.
- 1:04:55We'll try this podcast.

- 1:05:13Day before that, then we went six and one.
- 1:05:16So, yeah, you're also hot.
- 1:05:18Yeah, like the Reds.
- 1:05:21I've been betting on the Reds a lot too.
- 1:05:24There it is.
