- 0:21SPEAKER_00: And I think a lot of the innovation that's taking place right now, as a lot of you know, is you know in the east.
- 0:26SPEAKER_00: There's a lot of really cool technologies, innovations, you know, new novel solutions that are coming up all the time in the east.
- 0:34SPEAKER_00: And unfortunately, we're always a little delayed, you know, here in the US and the West to get those, you know, advancements.
- 0:41SPEAKER_00: So without further ado, I want to introduce you guys to Chico Beauty, which is the brand we're interviewing today.
- 0:48SPEAKER_00: But the person representing it is Kyoko Gets, and we've we've introduced Kyoko before.
- 0:53SPEAKER_00: Welcome back, Kyoko.
- 0:55SPEAKER_00: I'm excited to interview you again, but she's really, really an expert, you know, in the skin space.
- 1:00SPEAKER_00: She's been an esthetician with over a 20-year career, you know, in the skincare industry.
- 1:04SPEAKER_00: She's worked with some of the most phenomenal brands, and she's here again, you know, introducing us to a new technology and new advancement.
- 1:11SPEAKER_00: So welcome back, Kyoko.
- 1:13SPEAKER_00: I'm so excited to host you.
- 1:14SPEAKER_01: Thank you so much, Doktecta.
- 1:16SPEAKER_01: I'm so, so, so honored to be here.
- 1:19SPEAKER_01: I mean, truly.
- 1:21SPEAKER_00: Well, I'm honored to host you again.
- 1:22SPEAKER_00: I'm such a fan of yours and your work, and it always just hits home for me.
- 1:27SPEAKER_00: You know, you really know your stuff, and I am excited to, you know, chat with you about just the brand and also this new mask, this technology.
- 1:36SPEAKER_00: So before we get started, can you give us a background, Kyoko, just into like what got you interested in working with Chico Beauty and you know what really led down, led you down this road to work with them?
- 1:47SPEAKER_01: Well, so I've been in the skincare industry for 20 over 20 years, and my passion is always looking for the new cutting-edge ingredients and treatments and products and technology.
- 2:02SPEAKER_01: And then, but then, like, you know, of course, like I have to investigate and research, and then it has to work, right?
- 2:10SPEAKER_01: So I'm always looking into it, and then I came across carboxy therapy masks from Japan.
- 2:17SPEAKER_01: Actually, when I first experienced was 20 years ago, they were just starting the professional gray carboxy therapy mask, and then I was so fascinated about it.
- 2:27SPEAKER_01: But 20 years ago, I didn't have a background and experience, and then I would have loved to bring the technology here, but I couldn't.
- 2:37SPEAKER_01: And then so 20 years later, I had a chance to experience it through Chico Beauty.
- 2:42SPEAKER_01: And then wait a minute, I know this brand, and I have used it for 20 years ago, and then I tried it.
- 2:49SPEAKER_01: Of course, they are just evolving, so their technology has been even improved, even better, and they have amazing professional grade cabuxy therapy masks, and so I got big fun of it.
- 3:03SPEAKER_01: So I asked Chico Beauty to bring this professional grade masks as well as retail products, and I wanted to introduce this amazing carboxy therapy technology to professionals in the US and then also clients in the US.
- 3:19SPEAKER_01: So here I am.
- 3:20SPEAKER_01: Thank you so much for having me.
- 3:22SPEAKER_00: Yeah, no, I mean this is really, really interesting stuff.
- 3:24SPEAKER_00: And I feel like, you know, Japanese beauty has been, we've gotten a little bit here and there, you know what I mean?
- 3:31SPEAKER_00: As far as I know in the skincare space.
- 3:32SPEAKER_00: I haven't been around for that long, but as a consumer, I've only seen so many products, you know, only a few.
- 3:39SPEAKER_00: And every time I'm just blown away, you know, by Japanese brands because the innovation is just remarkable, you know, and it's just next level.
- 3:47SPEAKER_00: At the end of the day, my skin ends up feeling like like where have I, where has this been my whole life kind of thing, you know?
- 3:53SPEAKER_00: So I'm very excited to learn more about what exactly the carboxy mask is.
- 3:58SPEAKER_00: You know, I would love to actually start there if you could give us a little background on, you know, what is the whole idea of carboxy therapy and how does it really work?
- 4:08SPEAKER_01: I think it's originary carboxy therapy started back in the 1930s in France.
- 4:14SPEAKER_01: Doctors started experimenting, I believe it was a carbonated water.
- 4:19SPEAKER_01: The doctor was using the carbonated water to heal the wounds.
- 4:24SPEAKER_01: And so I believe Dr.
- 4:26SPEAKER_01: Masato Hickey, he is, by the way, he is the director of Hickey Clinic, and he is the one, he is the founder of Medium Research and Laboratories.
- 4:37SPEAKER_01: He founded in 1997.
- 4:40SPEAKER_01: So anyway, he was he is uh he's practicing internal medicine and dermatology, and then he was treating bed sores and wounds, and he came across these studies, and then he started experimenting carbonated water.
- 4:57SPEAKER_01: And then to me, I I mean I could be wrong, but in Japan, we have so many hot springs, and then some of them are carbonated springs, and we we all know carbonated water is so great for health, and then also the especially for the skin.
- 5:16SPEAKER_01: So I think that I believe that he was so fascinated about because it's so close to that, you know, our like everyday life.
- 5:25SPEAKER_01: That I mean, because hot spring is so like you know, I mean, we can we can always go to the hot springs and then feel refresh, and then also the skin is so soft and smooth.
- 5:36SPEAKER_01: And then so that he started experimenting, starting from carbonated water, just like a carbonated spring.
- 5:44SPEAKER_01: And but then treating bedsore is a little hard, you know, because you you you cannot immerse the some of the body part to the like carbonated springs or carbonated water, and then also that he started like putting the Gars in the carbonated water and then treating start treating bed sores, and then he did see amazing results in terms of healing bed sores and wounds, and then he started thinking about how we can, because the car carboxy acid is highly soluble in liquids and diffusing it in the air.
- 6:24SPEAKER_01: So he was he was trying to come up with the idea of how we can make the carbonic acid in a very sufficient way, and then also that how long can we keep the carbonated acid like keep producing and so it can be effective to the skin.
- 6:41SPEAKER_01: So he came up with this idea of using the gel, so it kind of like traps the CO2, and then also so you can keep the CO2 production for 20 minutes or 30 minutes, and then that can be really effective.
- 6:57SPEAKER_01: So that's how he came up the idea of using the gel.
- 7:01SPEAKER_01: But of course, it's not easy, but then you know, he finally came up with the idea, and then he also started experimenting on his skin.
- 7:12SPEAKER_01: And then I mean, he has a healthy skin, of course.
- 7:14SPEAKER_01: He's a doctor in dermatology, practicing dermatology.
- 7:18SPEAKER_01: So he has a healthy skin, but still he was able to see amazing results in terms of skin texture and more firm, firm and then just radiant.
- 7:29SPEAKER_01: So that's how he came across like, oh, maybe we can use this carbon therapy mask to aging, age management purpose, too.
- 7:39SPEAKER_01: So the whole thing started, like, okay, maybe we can start treating other than bit sores and wounds.
- 7:45SPEAKER_01: So that's how like the whole concept started.
- 7:49SPEAKER_00: That's really, really fascinating because you know, carbonated and even it's it's interesting to understand that there's such relevant science here because it really does, you know, anything carbonated is really working towards improving blood circulation, which makes sense to, you know, if we think about the skin, because everyone always says, you know, our skin is our largest organ.
- 8:11SPEAKER_00: We hear that over and over again, but then no one really talks about, well, what does that mean, like in terms of like maintaining an organ?
- 8:18SPEAKER_00: And the number one thing that comes to my mind is circulation, you know, like the better blood flow that you have, the better your organs are gonna feel, you know, and do and perform.
- 8:29SPEAKER_00: And and so this is like a directly targeting certain aspects that we don't really think about when it comes to the skin.
- 8:36SPEAKER_00: I mean, you know, we we think we talk about pH balance and all of these other other components, right, that are important for skin health.
- 8:43SPEAKER_00: But yeah, this the whole idea of, you know, really helping circulation, helping the flow of of nutrients and blood through this entirety of the skin.
- 8:51SPEAKER_00: I mean, that's huge, you know, and and I've definitely noticed the results.
- 8:55SPEAKER_00: I mean, I can tell you myself, uh, when I first tried it, it was amazing.
- 9:00SPEAKER_00: Like I I'd never experienced it from a mask before.
- 9:03SPEAKER_00: You know, I love masks, I think they're really great for people who don't have time.
- 9:06SPEAKER_00: For anyone in the audience that's listening, and you guys, you know, you don't have time for a big skincare routine.
- 9:12SPEAKER_00: Maybe you're like me and you use masks a lot, you know.
- 9:15SPEAKER_00: So for me, it was kind of a game changer when I tried it.
- 9:18SPEAKER_00: You know, I was like, this is great.
- 9:20SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
- 9:20SPEAKER_01: Yes.
- 9:21SPEAKER_01: And then absolutely, and then I believe this is the I mean, truly the best mask treatment that I ever experienced.
- 9:29SPEAKER_01: Like, period.
- 9:30SPEAKER_01: And for me to say that, that's it's huge.
- 9:33SPEAKER_00: It's huge, yeah.
- 9:34SPEAKER_00: Yeah, I mean, you've seen everything, you've seen everything.
- 9:37SPEAKER_00: I mean, I so like any would you say there are any like what what are the situations that you would recommend this for people?
- 9:44SPEAKER_00: Like what kind of skin types or maybe skin conditions that people are going through?
- 9:49SPEAKER_00: Like, what when would you recommend that we you utilize this mask?
- 9:52SPEAKER_01: So, because it was originally developed for healing wounds and bed sores, it's great for sensitive reactive skin clients, but overall, any skin conditions, if dullness, uneven skin tone, pigmentation, skin texture, fine lines and wrinkles, dryness, dark circles, acne, elasticity, what else?
- 10:14SPEAKER_01: You name it.
- 10:16SPEAKER_01: So um, it's truly amazing.
- 10:18SPEAKER_01: And then also that because of the you know, great for sensitive reactive skin and acne skin, holistic aestheticians are using it because some clients go through cancer treatments, and we have to be really mindful and careful about treating those compromised skin.
- 10:35SPEAKER_01: And then the carboxytherapy mask is a great option.
- 10:40SPEAKER_01: And then also that because of the promote healing process, these nurses and aestheticians are using it after microneedling or the plasma fibrograss or laser treatment.
- 10:53SPEAKER_01: Some may require downtime, but carboxy therapy masks will definitely help speed up the healing process.
- 11:01SPEAKER_00: Makes sense.
- 11:02SPEAKER_00: That makes sense.
- 11:02SPEAKER_00: Yeah, I mean, I can imagine for like especially like any kind of traumatic, you know, when you get an aesthetic procedure, you've got that redness, you've got that inflammation, so you do need that increased like attention to your to your skin's healing, you know.
- 11:17SPEAKER_00: So this would be definitely helping in the healing process, I'm I'm guessing.
- 11:22SPEAKER_00: So I mean, it's very interesting to me though, Kyoko, because I I think that, you know, we talk about everyday stressors on our skin, you know, as general consumers, and sometimes the word micro trauma comes up, you know.
- 11:36SPEAKER_00: And I when I think about that, I think of things like you know, you're going out into the sun a lot, you're maybe you're in a very busy city and you have all these stressors around you in the environment that are making your skin just little, you know, just little things are going on that are, I guess, micro traumas to your skin.
- 11:53SPEAKER_00: And this is really great, you know, if you live in areas that require you to do a little bit more for your skin, right?
- 11:59SPEAKER_00: I mean, it would be a great way to maintain.
- 12:03SPEAKER_01: So, yes, like application of CO2 induces muscle dilation.
- 12:09SPEAKER_01: And that leads to an increase of blood circulation.
- 12:12SPEAKER_01: And then, like you said, like we don't talk enough about like how important to increase blood circulation for our health.
- 12:20SPEAKER_01: So, and then also the capiri, like you know, it's so important because as we age, unfortunately, uh the capiri density decreases, right?
- 12:31SPEAKER_01: And then so, but but then like I I believe the Japanese company Shiseido did the study about the capiri, like because collagen production happens around the capiries.
- 12:43SPEAKER_01: And so it is very important to have the good, like, you know, breast circulation, of course.
- 12:50SPEAKER_01: And then, and then also for the like, you know, cell to, I mean, the to good to healthy cells, and then to create the energy needs the oxygen, right?
- 13:03SPEAKER_01: So, so like everything just connects to each other.
- 13:07SPEAKER_01: So the carbonic acid, when the uh carbonic acid goes to your skin and your body thinks like we need more oxygen, and then increases breast circulation and increases breast circulation, stimulates the cell metabolism, and then increase.
- 13:23SPEAKER_01: I mean, the stimulate cell metabolism can increase the collagen and fibroblast activity.
- 13:30SPEAKER_01: So everything's happens for reasons, yeah, purposes, and so that that's why this mask is really effective, and everybody should see the results, even after one treatment.
- 13:44SPEAKER_00: That's yeah, I mean, yeah, I I definitely did.
- 13:46SPEAKER_00: The first time I used it, I definitely saw a result, you know, because that's rare too, by the way.
- 13:51SPEAKER_00: Like, I mean, I think I mean you know this better than any of us, right?
- 13:54SPEAKER_00: I mean, to see results right after the first time you use a product is like almost unheard of in today's, you know, space.
- 14:02SPEAKER_00: Like, I think there's a lot of products out there that promise that, but it's very difficult to actually see.
- 14:07SPEAKER_00: And I remember the first time I used the mask, you had just sent it to me, and I was like, Oh, I have to try this.
- 14:12SPEAKER_00: Kyoko sent it, you know.
- 14:13SPEAKER_00: Like, let me let me see.
- 14:15SPEAKER_00: And I remember feeling like, oh my gosh, like, did I just go and get a facial?
- 14:21SPEAKER_00: Like, did I actually go in and because that's how it feels.
- 14:24SPEAKER_00: Like you, you just your face looks so much brighter, it looks more even, you just feel more radiant, you know, overall.
- 14:31SPEAKER_00: It's it's amazing.
- 14:32SPEAKER_00: Yeah, yes, very amazing.
- 14:34SPEAKER_00: No, I want to ask you though, I want to ask you about like because you know, you know how it is nowadays.
- 14:39SPEAKER_00: Everybody has like 15 products that they're using on a day-to-day basis.
- 14:43SPEAKER_00: So if we are using this carboxy therapy mask, I mean, are there certain products that you recommend we can use, you know, with it or anything that we shouldn't or avoid, you know?
- 14:54SPEAKER_01: Absolutely.
- 14:55SPEAKER_01: So so the Median, Dr.
- 14:58SPEAKER_01: Median, they did amazing research and study in terms of like how much oxygenated blood, like in kit, I mean, I mean, like they even experimented like oxymeter to to measure the oxygen in your blood, apply the carboxy therapy mask.
- 15:18SPEAKER_01: So they have amazing study and research behind it, and then also that because they came across not just increases blood circulation, but then also the it penetrate products to deep layers of the skin, like it's so much better penetration, the drug delivery system that carbonic therapy mask has.
- 15:39SPEAKER_01: So, having said that, we always recommend to use.
- 15:43SPEAKER_01: If you have a hyperpigmentation, you can use the brightening products before you apply the carboxy therapy mask.
- 15:50SPEAKER_01: If you have acne, you can use the acne products before you apply this mask.
- 15:56SPEAKER_01: And dryness, same thing, or firmness.
- 15:58SPEAKER_01: If you, I mean, you can use a hyaluron acid or you can use vitamin C, any products, it can make even like better efficacy of the products.
- 16:08SPEAKER_00: So wow.
- 16:10SPEAKER_00: I mean, I can see it being really, uh really helpful for acne, especially, because if you're increasing, like, I mean, it makes sense what you're saying.
- 16:18SPEAKER_00: Like, you know, if you if it's increasing like the effectiveness of products, I mean, capillary permeability is a real thing, you know, in medicine.
- 16:25SPEAKER_00: Like, that's a it's it's a very interesting subject, and it really has a lot to do with, you know, how things work, how drugs are delivered.
- 16:33SPEAKER_00: You know, we we talk about it a lot in in like normal allopathic medicine, but like just thinking of that and then thinking about what this mask is doing, it makes sense that products do deliver better, you know, overall, because if you're working on the level of capillaries, you yeah, there's the oxygen, you know, levels that you are increasing, but then also your capillaries are functioning better.
- 16:55SPEAKER_00: So you're able to actually get things to where they need to go, you know, faster.
- 16:59SPEAKER_00: And that makes sense.
- 17:00SPEAKER_00: You know, it's like more of a homogeneous system that you're creating when you're applying this mask and providing that extra, you know, oxygen delivery right there.
- 17:08SPEAKER_00: So that's very interesting.
- 17:10SPEAKER_00: And I think acne people, like people who have acne, they could probably benefit a lot.
- 17:14SPEAKER_00: I mean, theoretically.
- 17:15SPEAKER_01: Yes, and then so that's why like many aestheticians are using it because it works really well with any skincare professional like products they're using, makes it even better.
- 17:26SPEAKER_01: And then so the feedback have been amazing.
- 17:30SPEAKER_00: Yeah, yeah.
- 17:31SPEAKER_00: No, I can definitely see that.
- 17:32SPEAKER_00: Now, in terms of just, you know, is there one mask or is it like professional grade and then another grade for consumers?
- 17:39SPEAKER_00: How does it how does this work in terms of when if people are trying to purchase it?
- 17:44SPEAKER_01: So we have the professional grade masks for professionals only, and then we also have uh retail products.
- 17:51SPEAKER_01: We have the one the spout sea gel, which is great for any skin types and any skin conditions, and then also we have the bright plus, which has a vitamin C and it's great for the brightening.
- 18:05SPEAKER_01: If somebody has a hyperpigmentation, this may be a good option for that client.
- 18:10SPEAKER_01: So those are the retail products, and then also we have a sheet mask, so this is this is kind of like easy and fun, like you know, you can just put it on in 10 minutes and then you can see amazing results.
- 18:24SPEAKER_01: So we do have a professional version of sheet masks too, which you know it's great for because the gel and then the powder type, you have to scrape it and then you have to wipe it and wipe it off.
- 18:39SPEAKER_01: But these sheet types, you don't have to, you know, rub your skin.
- 18:43SPEAKER_01: So if somebody is doing that like that treatment requires downtime, you don't want to necessarily rub their skin after the treatment.
- 18:51SPEAKER_01: So these sheet masks, they're using it for the pulse treatment care.
- 18:56SPEAKER_00: Interesting.
- 18:57SPEAKER_00: Okay, yeah, I like that.
- 18:58SPEAKER_00: I like that it's in the sheet mask form.
- 19:00SPEAKER_00: That's really convenient.
- 19:01SPEAKER_00: Yes, absolutely.
- 19:02SPEAKER_00: Yeah, that's very cool.
- 19:03SPEAKER_00: So, in terms of like the I know you guys have done clinical, there's a lot of clinical data here, you know, to support this.
- 19:09SPEAKER_00: What are some of the other studies?
- 19:11SPEAKER_00: And I would love for you to dive into that a little bit for our listeners because you know how it is, everybody right now is looking for that science, that data, you know, something to really validate.
- 19:21SPEAKER_00: And I'd love to hear more about your your clinical results that you've seen, you know, the studies.
- 19:26SPEAKER_01: And I so in Japan, because they've been around for over 25 years, they have done so many different studies, and then they also have 21 patents worldwide.
- 19:36SPEAKER_01: So their dermatologists in Europe have done some studies as well, but we wanted to create something from the retail versions of the products because everybody's looking for quick fix, right?
- 19:50SPEAKER_01: Um, so we kind of wanted to create something like okay, what?
- 19:55SPEAKER_01: Because they've done in Japan, they've done 30 days straight use of carboxy gel mask study.
- 20:03SPEAKER_01: And we kind of wanted to see what if we do six days and what will what will happen to the skin.
- 20:11SPEAKER_01: So, of course, we did the before-after photo, even after one treatment, which is amazing and I can't wait to share.
- 20:19SPEAKER_01: But then also we did this after six days, what would happen?
- 20:23SPEAKER_01: And then so we did the image analysis before after photo, and then also the perception study, and then they all are phenomenal results.
- 20:35SPEAKER_01: So image imaging analysis, like 76%, like significantly improved the skin texture.
- 20:44SPEAKER_01: So, and then this one is done by 35 subjects aged 35 to 65, and a female and a male, and then the different skin types, and then different skin color.
- 20:58SPEAKER_01: And then the we were we we knew we were gonna get great results, but these results are I hate to say about better than I thought.
- 21:12SPEAKER_01: But yes, before after photos, in terms of like the everybody's skin was like radiating, and then also the like firmness.
- 21:21SPEAKER_01: Some people are got great lift, and then also dark circles, it's kind of hard to treat, but we we we've seen amazing results in terms of like improving like dark circles, fine lines and wrinkles, firmness, skin texture.
- 21:39SPEAKER_01: It was phenomenal.
- 21:41SPEAKER_00: Yeah, no, it sounds really cool.
- 21:43SPEAKER_00: I mean, I think that when you're able to target multiple things like that, I mean, that really speaks to like the importance of certain ingredients.
- 21:51SPEAKER_00: You know, I think like we get as consumers, we get so bogged down by like these very like, I don't know, complicated regimens.
- 22:00SPEAKER_00: You know, for our skin health.
- 22:01SPEAKER_00: And you know, you know how it is.
- 22:03SPEAKER_00: You know, with consumers, we we love buying everything.
- 22:05SPEAKER_00: You know, we want to buy every single thing.
- 22:08SPEAKER_00: But sometimes there comes along, like, you know, one one thing that just works really well for a lot of different problems.
- 22:14SPEAKER_00: You know, it's a solution for multiple things.
- 22:17SPEAKER_00: And I really always encourage our listeners, go for those products because sometimes you will get results that you don't expect.
- 22:23SPEAKER_00: So you mentioned the dark circles.
- 22:25SPEAKER_00: That's why I'm saying this, you know.
- 22:26SPEAKER_00: Maybe you maybe you didn't think it could work for dark circles, and it does, you know, because we just don't know sometimes what's gonna work for the skin and what's not.
- 22:35SPEAKER_00: So this is very fascinating.
- 22:37SPEAKER_01: Yes, and most of the dark circles are like, you know, the your skin is thin, and then you can see the like, you know, the the blood vessels, yeah.
- 22:46SPEAKER_01: And then so increases blood circulation, and then like sometimes it like you know, that will totally change the dark circles, the way it looks.
- 22:54SPEAKER_01: And then so that's why it's very effective.
- 22:57SPEAKER_01: Of course, pigmentation it takes a little bit longer time, but because of that amazing drug delivery system, even that you're using brightening products, this mask can make it even better.
- 23:10SPEAKER_00: Yeah, that's really cool.
- 23:12SPEAKER_00: I mean, I I like that.
- 23:13SPEAKER_00: I like things that you can use with other products, you know, because that's I mean, that's the reality of today's kind of skincare space, I think.
- 23:22SPEAKER_00: You know, is it's very hard to get people away from their other products.
- 23:25SPEAKER_00: But if we can introduce something that's gonna really help and it's going to become like, you know, enhancer of what you're doing already, I mean, that's ideal.
- 23:33SPEAKER_00: So very, very fascinating.
- 23:35SPEAKER_00: Now, I want to ask you, is this a little general question, but like, you know, when you look at the way that US consumers, right, like how we're using products, how we're, you know, what's being done to target skin concerns, like, where do you see all of this fitting in?
- 23:50SPEAKER_00: I mean, do you think that it's a shift in the way that we do our own skin health practices?
- 23:55SPEAKER_00: Or I mean, what are your thoughts around that?
- 23:58SPEAKER_01: Well, you know, the skincare is just like, I mean, it's how should I say it?
- 24:05SPEAKER_01: Like, please go see a sthetician or dermatologist or a nurse like once a month or every two weeks, please do.
- 24:12SPEAKER_01: But everyday care is so important.
- 24:15SPEAKER_01: Just like your, you know, well, you go see personal trainer once a week, but if you don't work out every day, you don't get the ideal body you want.
- 24:24SPEAKER_01: So that like skincare is very, very like, you know, consistency is key.
- 24:29SPEAKER_01: And then also that if you have skin concern conditions you want to improve, everyday care is very important.
- 24:36SPEAKER_01: So even even like US customers are now realizing it, like, you know, I mean, everyday care is very important, consistency is the key.
- 24:46SPEAKER_01: So even my clients, like they're always looking into like what would be a beneficial for my skin, not because of the hype or trend, trendiness, what will really benefit me?
- 24:59SPEAKER_01: And then so, you know, and then there are so many, like so much information, and then like you you can research and you can you can look for the information, but I'm not saying that all the information is unnecessarily accurate or correct, yeah, definitely.
- 25:18SPEAKER_01: But people are more like educating themselves, customers are more educated.
- 25:23SPEAKER_01: So to me, it's like again, carbonic therapy masks are getting now more and more in the market.
- 25:32SPEAKER_01: But just because people are started realizing that how important these like blood circulations and and also the mitochondria, like you know, but like sales, renewal.
- 25:44SPEAKER_01: So I believe that people are more educated, and so that's why it's 10 to they tend to try these new products.
- 25:52SPEAKER_00: Absolutely, yeah, that makes sense.
- 25:54SPEAKER_00: That makes a lot of sense because you know, I think it's interesting how science is integrating itself, you know, into an OTC kind of space where before, I mean, the real professionals, I mean, you know the science because you worked in this field for so long, you know, and and I think that a lot of the professionals understand how the science of the skin works, but for consumers, there is this emergence now of more wanting to be more educated, wanting to understand why my skin reacts the way it does, you know, why does it something work and then something doesn't work?
- 26:27SPEAKER_00: So this whole like back and forth is very for me, it's very interesting to watch, you know, because I think consumers like they they are also getting sick of the trends, if I'm honest, you know, we we get a lot of feedback from our audience and our listeners that hey, you know, I've tried 15 products and nothing's working.
- 26:46SPEAKER_00: It doesn't get rid of my hyperpigmentation, it doesn't fix my acne or whatever their concerns are.
- 26:51SPEAKER_00: And usually for me, I you know, I'm not shocked that we're getting those emails, but at the same time, it's like that's why we're always waiting for the new and better thing.
- 27:00SPEAKER_00: And I think that's where these trends come from, is that people are not seeing results, you know, and they're not seeing what they want to see.
- 27:07SPEAKER_00: So I recommend, I really do recommend this math to almost everybody listening now, honestly.
- 27:12SPEAKER_00: It's really, really good.
- 27:13SPEAKER_00: And I think for me, the intriguing part about it is it's new and it it's new in the best way, you know.
- 27:20SPEAKER_00: I've never seen something like it before, and it really shows you results immediately.
- 27:24SPEAKER_00: And the way I see it, when the way consumers are feeling frustrated these days, I mean, if you want something that's actually gonna work, like please give this a try because it really does, you know, it's overnight results, and that's very rare that that happens, you know, with any product.
- 27:40SPEAKER_01: So, yes, and then Japanese beauty is all about honor yourself, honor your skin.
- 27:46SPEAKER_01: It's more nurturing, and then also that look for like how we can have a healthy skin and a beautiful skin within.
- 27:54SPEAKER_01: So, having said that, this approach really works for like not necessarily Japanese people, but for like people all over the world.
- 28:03SPEAKER_01: And then no matter what, like you know, what kind of skin conditions you may have or skin color, this must work for anybody.
- 28:11SPEAKER_00: Yeah, yeah.
- 28:13SPEAKER_00: No, it's really cool.
- 28:14SPEAKER_00: I mean, I think it's because it's based on science, you know.
- 28:17SPEAKER_01: So yeah, no, and then I know you love science, so there you go.
- 28:22SPEAKER_00: Yeah, exactly, exactly.
- 28:23SPEAKER_00: No, I I think that's it.
- 28:25SPEAKER_00: You know, science is the real thing that drives unity, you know, amongst people.
- 28:29SPEAKER_00: And and I think at the end of the day, when it comes to skincare, it we should be having a science forward approach because at the end of the day, you're it's an organ, you know, it's real physiology that you're dealing with.
- 28:39SPEAKER_00: It's not just and the Dr.
- 28:41SPEAKER_01: Hickey published a book about, of course, carboxy therapy, but then also like mitochondria and aging as well.
- 28:49SPEAKER_01: So he has amazing wealth of knowledge and experiences, and so I'm absolutely honored to introduce his technology and his amazing brilliant brain to all over the world.
- 29:03SPEAKER_00: Yeah, absolutely.
- 29:04SPEAKER_00: No, that's absolutely brilliant.
- 29:05SPEAKER_00: And I like that he's working with or explaining the role of mitochondria because you know, when it comes to that's all oxidative stress, you know, all of that stuff.
- 29:15SPEAKER_00: It's really about understanding that there is a cellular level of health that we have to understand, you know, and when we understand that level, then that's how we know where to go for what we need in our lives, whether it's products, whether it's the right treatments, you know, what professionals you go to, all of that plays a role.
- 29:34SPEAKER_00: And so I I it's very fascinating that he's doing that and really hats off to you for bringing this, you know, forward and to us to introducing it to us.
- 29:42SPEAKER_00: So thank you.
- 29:44SPEAKER_01: Yes, thank you so much.
- 29:46SPEAKER_01: I'm Leonard.
- 29:48SPEAKER_00: No, I I love it.
- 29:48SPEAKER_00: And I really encourage everybody listening.
- 29:50SPEAKER_00: You guys have to try it.
- 29:51SPEAKER_00: I'm not joking.
- 29:52SPEAKER_00: I mean, it's really it's such an innovative treatment and it's something you can do so easily, you know.
- 29:59SPEAKER_00: That's the best part.
- 30:00SPEAKER_00: It's it's easy, you know, and it's not something where you have to wait like 60 days to see any sort of a result, you know.
- 30:07SPEAKER_00: That's I think one of our biggest pain points as consumers is a lot of people promise things and they say, Oh, yeah, you know, this is gonna help you with whatever, you know, XYZ condition that you're dealing with.
- 30:19SPEAKER_00: But like I said, but when you can deliver results quickly, I mean, that's really what we're looking for in the skincare space, from what I understand.
- 30:26SPEAKER_00: So I really encourage our listeners, definitely check out Shiko Beauty.
