Alberta RCMP’s Major Crimes Unit has descended on a rural High River property with a heavy police presence, marked and unmarked vehicles sealing off the driveway as investigators in protective gear scour the inside and outside of the home. The scene, active since early Wednesday, has drawn attention from nearby workers. Though details remain scarce, the renters were leasing the property — which features Alberta independence signs and “no trespassing” notices — and the investigation is clearly in full swing.
