- 0:00Speaker 1: This is the Ben and Ashley I Almost Famous podcast
- 0:03Speaker 1: with iHeartRadio.
- 0:06Speaker 2: Hey guys, well, welcome back to an Almost Famous Headlines episode.
- 0:10Speaker 3: It is me and Heather. I know that you guys
- 0:13Speaker 3: are like.
- 0:13Speaker 2: Why it's Ashley that why are they never together?
- 0:19Speaker 4: We kind of addressed it with Ben on his Q
- 0:22Speaker 4: and A. We said that he was going to be
- 0:24Speaker 4: filming a TV show very soon.
- 0:26Speaker 3: And that's what he's doing, guys.
- 0:29Speaker 2: And yeah, and it's like when I was filming and
- 0:32Speaker 2: doing press for Housewives.
- 0:33Speaker 3: That's when I'm not here. It's just sometimes we have
- 0:36Speaker 3: to do it.
- 0:36Speaker 2: In thank goodness, we have Heather, who is truly if
- 0:39Speaker 2: you listen to Heather's episode, it's like, you know, she's
- 0:41Speaker 2: pop culture expert queen. So we're grateful to have her
- 0:45Speaker 2: here breaking down these headlines with us. So this week,
- 0:50Speaker 2: Charity Lawson, Jojo Fletcher and more Bachelor stars stunned at
- 0:56Speaker 2: the Miami swimwek and I truly mean stunned.
- 0:59Speaker 3: Like what jenran.
- 1:01Speaker 2: She was there, she was walking the runway for multiple
- 1:04Speaker 2: outfits for the Kulani Kinis show. She looked amazing. And
- 1:09Speaker 2: then we have Jojo, who like had a baby in
- 1:12Speaker 2: late December. And she looked unblievable at the Cupshi show.
- 1:20Speaker 2: So she has does designed Cupshi suits for a couple
- 1:24Speaker 2: of years now. I mean like it was wild, like
- 1:26Speaker 2: it was not wild.
- 1:27Speaker 4: Not sponsored, but I have Cupschi bathing suits and they're
- 1:32Speaker 4: really good.
- 1:34Speaker 3: Yeah, like they're really good, They're really cute, They're really good.
- 1:38Speaker 4: This I mean Zoe Grady from uh Brandt.
- 1:43Speaker 3: Season was there. Okay. There was like so.
- 1:45Speaker 4: Many people obviously, and then there was like amazing influencers too,
- 1:50Speaker 4: from like different you know, people like I saw Alex
- 1:53Speaker 4: Earl walked, Bethany Frankel walked, just lots of people.
- 1:58Speaker 3: But Bethany Frankeel loves water.
- 2:00Speaker 2: She loves Bethany Frankel did the Sports Illustrated show, so
- 2:06Speaker 2: did Stacy.
- 2:07Speaker 3: And who else did? I mean like they.
- 2:09Speaker 2: Alex, Alex Earl was in that one too, Okay, Bethany
- 2:13Speaker 2: just loves to strut rounaway.
- 2:16Speaker 4: It makes me wonder because we saw you in a
- 2:19Speaker 4: bathing suit this season on Housewives and yeah and.
- 2:22Speaker 3: Are looking glovey stop stop it right now.
- 2:25Speaker 4: You looked phenomenal and it made me wonder if you
- 2:29Speaker 4: would walk in Swim Week if they asked you in
- 2:31Speaker 4: the future.
- 2:33Speaker 2: I guess, like I wish I could be so humble
- 2:35Speaker 2: as to say I didn't think about this when seeing
- 2:39Speaker 2: my compagnos walk because Kelsey walks in the cups she
- 2:45Speaker 2: show and like, holy crap, like are you kidding me? Kelsey?
- 2:48Speaker 2: She looked so unbelievable, but she looked like she should
- 2:51Speaker 2: be like a Victoria's Sagaret model. And I was like,
- 2:55Speaker 2: I mean, I wonder if next year I would be
- 2:57Speaker 2: asked just because you see these BRAVA celebrities there being bottles,
- 3:02Speaker 2: and I'm like, well, I would certainly have to put
- 3:06Speaker 2: a lot of more effort in because I'm telling you,
- 3:08Speaker 2: like I haven't worked out consistency since before Dawson.
- 3:12Speaker 3: But a spray tand does you well too. It can
- 3:15Speaker 3: make a difference. Spray tand can make you feel quite good.
- 3:18Speaker 4: So I'm telling you we saw you in a bathing
- 3:20Speaker 4: suit more than once this season. We saw you going
- 3:22Speaker 4: down the slip and slide. We saw you guys at
- 3:24Speaker 4: the speech day like you're looking good. You're looking good,
- 3:28Speaker 4: and that was almost a year ago, like your two.
- 3:32Speaker 3: I would love to see it, That's all I same.
- 3:34Speaker 2: I think my tummy has toned up since then because
- 3:37Speaker 2: that was not even a year since I had had Hayden. Crazy, yeah, crazy,
- 3:42Speaker 2: So all right, everybody looked killer is basically what.
- 3:45Speaker 3: We want to say.
- 3:46Speaker 2: And Miami swim Meek is really becoming more and more
- 3:49Speaker 2: of a thing every single year, definitely.
- 3:51Speaker 3: So this is a sad update.
- 3:54Speaker 2: Katie Thurston reveals that her liver isn't okay and she
- 3:57Speaker 2: will need another biopsy and a new cancer up date.
- 4:00Speaker 2: So the last big update we got from Katie was
- 4:03Speaker 2: that she got to the double missectomy last month and
- 4:06Speaker 2: then she got implants immediately, and I know that she
- 4:10Speaker 2: was happy with that. But since then she's been documenting
- 4:13Speaker 2: her recovery and she revealed that she needs to get
- 4:17Speaker 2: more testing down her liver, said that her liver isn't okay.
- 4:22Speaker 2: We'll need an MRI and likely another biopsy. So we
- 4:26Speaker 2: know that when she initially was diagnosed with cancer about
- 4:31Speaker 2: a little over a year ago, she did have a
- 4:34Speaker 2: spread to her liver, which is why she's Stage four,
- 4:38Speaker 2: but the treatment made it so that it disappeared and
- 4:42Speaker 2: it was so wonderful, And now she said she's been
- 4:45Speaker 2: she stopped treatment recently because she got to a point
- 4:49Speaker 2: where she was like, she just wanted to kind of
- 4:52Speaker 2: take a break. She said she wanted to take a
- 4:54Speaker 2: break because she was a worry that the treatments were
- 4:56Speaker 2: actually damaging her liver. And so now she she says
- 5:00Speaker 2: that she's reached a point where it seems like maybe
- 5:02Speaker 2: it's something else.
- 5:04Speaker 3: She's like, is it is the cancers? Is it back?
- 5:07Speaker 2: Is it the lupron injections. I don't know what lupron
- 5:10Speaker 2: injections mean, she goes, but those spikes coincide with my injections.
- 5:17Speaker 2: I'm assuming the spikes are like some sort of like
- 5:19Speaker 2: liver flare ups.
- 5:20Speaker 4: Lupron is a synthetic hormone that treats symptoms of prostate cancer,
- 5:25Speaker 4: early on set puberty, and other hormone related conditions.
- 5:31Speaker 2: Okay, she basically said that she is going to get
- 5:35Speaker 2: another scan and biopsously done.
- 5:37Speaker 3: However, she's going on.
- 5:39Speaker 2: In Alaskan cruise with her husband soon and she wants
- 5:42Speaker 2: to wait until after they get back because she says,
- 5:45Speaker 2: scan anxiety is something I don't need. I understand that,
- 5:49Speaker 2: but then like do you? But then on you're on
- 5:51Speaker 2: the curuise and you're really enjoying it, I don't know.
- 5:53Speaker 4: I mean, listen, she has been through so much and
- 5:59Speaker 4: I'm sure we only even know a fraction of the
- 6:01Speaker 4: stuff that she's you know, willing to share with her
- 6:04Speaker 4: audience and publicly.
- 6:06Speaker 3: But girl, you deserve that cruise. Go on that, enjoy
- 6:11Speaker 3: that cruise.
- 6:12Speaker 4: I mean, I'm sure she has to compartmentalize and she's
- 6:17Speaker 4: learned how to do that in this last you know,
- 6:19Speaker 4: year plus of treatment, because otherwise you wouldn't be having
- 6:23Speaker 4: any fun or looking forward to anything. So go do it,
- 6:28Speaker 4: have a great time, enjoy what cruises bring, which is
- 6:31Speaker 4: like twenty four hours.
- 6:33Speaker 2: Joy.
- 6:34Speaker 3: Yeah, you would know you're a cruiser. I love it.
- 6:38Speaker 3: When I saw this.
- 6:39Speaker 2: As much as I feel like, would I be able
- 6:41Speaker 2: to join the cruise, I also think, oh, you can't.
- 6:45Speaker 3: You can't ruin the case.
- 6:47Speaker 4: Literally, you love a cruise, you you you really do?
- 6:52Speaker 3: Alrighty.
- 6:52Speaker 2: So, in cute news, Joey Grassidy and Kelsey Anderson are celebrating.
- 6:58Speaker 3: Their new proposal. So it's been more than.
- 7:02Speaker 2: Two years since he proposed to Kelsey during season twenty
- 7:06Speaker 2: eight of the Bachelor, and as many bachelors or bachelorette
- 7:12Speaker 2: winners do, he has now reproposed on a vacation when
- 7:17Speaker 2: they were in Cobbo Saint Lucas he said on the
- 7:21Speaker 2: Instagram on the Instagram his Instagram post, she said yes again,
- 7:29Speaker 2: and he said, proposing again meant taking something that was
- 7:32Speaker 2: already extraordinary and making it fully our own.
- 7:35Speaker 3: It means the world.
- 7:37Speaker 2: It means the world to be able to reaffirm our promise,
- 7:40Speaker 2: to want and to love one another just for the
- 7:42Speaker 2: two of us forever. Isn't enough with you. I can't
- 7:45Speaker 2: wait to make you my wife. So freaking cute. What
- 7:48Speaker 2: a beautiful couple.
- 7:50Speaker 4: Also, the ring is stunning and kind of unique with
- 7:54Speaker 4: what looks like little emeralds on the side.
- 7:57Speaker 3: I wonder, oh I love emeralds on the song.
- 8:01Speaker 4: I wonder if there's some sort of special meaning to that,
- 8:03Speaker 4: because I think that that is a really unique choice.
- 8:07Speaker 3: But it makes me wonder what happens to.
- 8:10Speaker 4: The Neil Lane ring when you do these kinds of
- 8:13Speaker 4: like reproposal, Like do you think people.
- 8:16Speaker 3: Keep the Neil Lane ring from the show or.
- 8:18Speaker 4: Do you think they hawk it to go towards something else.
- 8:22Speaker 4: I mean, we know that they're planning a wedding right now.
- 8:26Speaker 3: I feel like.
- 8:29Speaker 2: Neil Lane curses every time this happens. I mean, why
- 8:34Speaker 2: does everyone want to take my ring off their finger.
- 8:37Speaker 2: He's like the couples that break up the ring leaves
- 8:40Speaker 2: and then the couples that stay together for a long
- 8:42Speaker 2: time they get replaced. Okay, So I want to show
- 8:45Speaker 2: you either the ring that a local jeweler gave me,
- 8:50Speaker 2: this one's to borrow, and it is a but if
- 8:53Speaker 2: I really wanted it, like he probably would bargain something
- 8:56Speaker 2: with me. And it's a lab grown So I would
- 9:00Speaker 2: do a lab grown now because I just think, like,
- 9:03Speaker 2: you know, lab grown and who the hell Carros was?
- 9:05Speaker 4: I've got a lab ground and it was like it
- 9:08Speaker 4: it's it's great, Like for the price.
- 9:11Speaker 2: This is lab grown, and I've gotten so many compliments
- 9:14Speaker 2: on it.
- 9:15Speaker 3: Yes, I sure this is.
- 9:17Speaker 2: What he let me borrow and they wanted and that
- 9:20Speaker 2: there's a point to this story. Yeah, because for my
- 9:24Speaker 2: press tour for New York in New York before the
- 9:27Speaker 2: Housewives season started, it was like, you should wear this
- 9:30Speaker 2: as like your new engagement ring, like this is your
- 9:32Speaker 2: Housewives and I'm like, oh yeah, and then I couldn't
- 9:39Speaker 2: do it because I'm so sentimentally attached to my Neil
- 9:43Speaker 2: Layne ring from bachelor.
- 9:45Speaker 3: Yeah, I can't.
- 9:45Speaker 2: I'm never gonna be able to get rid of this,
- 9:47Speaker 2: Like this is forever my ring.
- 9:49Speaker 3: So but look at this ring.
- 9:52Speaker 4: Oh my god, Oh my god, I know it literally
- 9:58Speaker 4: the you string I've probably ever seen my.
- 10:01Speaker 3: Put it on. Put it on. I can't do it.
- 10:05Speaker 3: It makes you feel so put on your other hand, then, yeah,
- 10:08Speaker 3: I know that's what I did. That's okay, I wore
- 10:10Speaker 3: it on my other hand. Oh, now I'm seeing it.
- 10:15Speaker 3: Maybe I need to start to hear it's so pretty,
- 10:21Speaker 3: I know.
- 10:22Speaker 4: Oh my god, Like pull your hand back though, you
- 10:24Speaker 4: mean you have to get up that close to me.
- 10:26Speaker 3: I can see it from a mile away. Neil Lane,
- 10:29Speaker 3: I'm keeping my ring on. I love that you're sentimental.
- 10:33Speaker 3: I'm so sentimental.
- 10:34Speaker 2: I mean, I have clothes in my closet that I'm like.
- 10:38Speaker 3: I can't get rid of that. I wore that dress
- 10:41Speaker 3: that day on our honeymoon. I've been there.
- 10:44Speaker 4: I kept I remember, I kept a dress in my
- 10:47Speaker 4: past relationship because I was like, that's the dress I
- 10:49Speaker 4: was wearing the day I met you, and I like
- 10:51Speaker 4: hung on to it. I hung on for a decade.
- 10:54Speaker 4: But that oh, the first things to go.
- 10:57Speaker 2: Relash I still have that from past situations as well.
- 11:01Speaker 2: Just oh no, I know that sounds awful, but it's
- 11:04Speaker 2: just memories.
- 11:06Speaker 3: Like that's the thing.
- 11:08Speaker 4: I can't keep stuff with memories attached. If it's gone,
- 11:13Speaker 4: it's gone. Even the jewelry people told me save the jewelry.
- 11:18Speaker 3: I did not. The jewelry went bye bye. I guess.
- 11:22Speaker 2: I mean, I understand that if I had jewelry from
- 11:24Speaker 2: another guy, and then it would I that You're right.
- 11:27Speaker 2: If it's from another person, that's weird. That's weird, right,
- 11:30Speaker 2: But somebody, if you have a dress that like reminds
- 11:33Speaker 2: you of the day and it was such a great day,
- 11:35Speaker 2: I think that's okay.
- 11:38Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 11:40Speaker 2: I guess, Like if I would ask Jared if he
- 11:42Speaker 2: like wanted to keep an outfit, just yeah, I guess
- 11:44Speaker 2: I wouldn't be okay with that.
- 11:45Speaker 3: That's super funny.
- 11:47Speaker 2: It's like, are you okay with me wearing this shirt
- 11:49Speaker 2: because I like met my accident, I'd be like, no,
- 11:53Speaker 2: that's a wacky get rid of it.
- 11:55Speaker 4: Going back to your Neil Lane ring, I've had a
- 11:57Speaker 4: lot of friends that took their original engagement ring as
- 12:01Speaker 4: it's been upgraded over the years, took their original one.
- 12:05Speaker 4: Had it repurposed into a necklace and then wore their
- 12:10Speaker 4: upgraded ring. So I mean you could always do that
- 12:12Speaker 4: with your knee lane, that's true, turn it into a pendant.
- 12:16Speaker 3: Yeah, my mom like kept adding on to her ring.
- 12:19Speaker 3: I think a lot of people do that.
- 12:21Speaker 2: Yeah, and then she just gave up and then she
- 12:24Speaker 2: was like, nah, just give you the big old new one,
- 12:38Speaker 2: moving on, And I'm just I just gotta say on over time, Joey.
- 12:42Speaker 2: Whatever emerald you put on the side, I mean absolutely
- 12:47Speaker 2: love it.
- 12:48Speaker 3: Very cool, very cool.
- 12:50Speaker 4: I just feel like we've been talking about their wedding
- 12:52Speaker 4: for forever, so I can't wait until it happens next year.
- 12:55Speaker 2: Yeah, I'm just glad it's really going to happen. You
- 12:57Speaker 2: know what a wonderful bachelor season that led to a
- 13:01Speaker 2: beautiful relationship. So next up we have Maria Georgis isn't
- 13:06Speaker 2: gorgeous Georgis another last name. Georgias always had problems with Georgis,
- 13:11Speaker 2: saying and Rachel krecconnell. They went on vacation last week
- 13:16Speaker 2: to the Virgin Islands and they were joined by two
- 13:20Speaker 2: guys from Taylor Frankie Paul season of The Bachelorette, Shane
- 13:25Speaker 2: Pardon and Mike.
- 13:27Speaker 3: Jurto, So the two of them.
- 13:30Speaker 2: I mean, Shane was supposedly the runner up, and he's cute.
- 13:36Speaker 3: He is cute. I just think this is so he
- 13:38Speaker 3: was your fave, you loved him. I did like him.
- 13:42Speaker 2: He was a little bit dickish in the first episode,
- 13:44Speaker 2: because you guys, we got to see the first episode
- 13:46Speaker 2: and then he he was like a sour Patch kid.
- 13:48Speaker 2: He was like sour and then he was sweet and
- 13:50Speaker 2: you're like, Okay, I get it.
- 13:51Speaker 3: There's an appeal there.
- 13:52Speaker 4: Yeah, he definitely has the Riz, as the kids would say.
- 13:56Speaker 4: I just think it's so interesting because he's also I
- 14:00Speaker 4: believe it's not confirmed, but rumored to be on a
- 14:04Speaker 4: new Hulu show that's going to be coming out. That's
- 14:08Speaker 4: like Hulu's version of Traders, is what they're saying.
- 14:13Speaker 3: Is that how you're.
- 14:14Speaker 2: Pairing them up, Shane and Rachel and then Maria with
- 14:18Speaker 2: this guy Mike.
- 14:19Speaker 3: I don't know.
- 14:19Speaker 4: I just think it's I am always so skeptical, right,
- 14:23Speaker 4: It's like, are you hanging out with these people because
- 14:25Speaker 4: you like having fun with them and you're actually friends
- 14:28Speaker 4: with them, or is this like something bigger and you're
- 14:32Speaker 4: looking to like climb up the ranks kind of a thing.
- 14:36Speaker 3: Like that's always kind of where my mind goes.
- 14:39Speaker 2: Yeah, okay, now that I'm looking at Mike, I remember, Mike,
- 14:43Speaker 2: do you think that this is like a double date vacation.
- 14:47Speaker 4: It kind of was giving those vibes in the videos
- 14:51Speaker 4: that I saw, the little like clips, but I don't
- 14:55Speaker 4: think anything is confirmed. But again, I I'm just like
- 14:59Speaker 4: of this mindset now where people who make content sometimes
- 15:05Speaker 4: I think it's just not genuine, right, Like it's like
- 15:09Speaker 4: I'll shoot with you or I'll do this with you
- 15:12Speaker 4: because it looks good and benefits both of us kind
- 15:15Speaker 4: of things. So I never know if people are like
- 15:17Speaker 4: actually flirty and like hitting it off and having a
- 15:20Speaker 4: good time, or just like hey, let's go shoot content,
- 15:23Speaker 4: let's go on a trip together.
- 15:24Speaker 3: It'll be beneficial for all of us.
- 15:26Speaker 2: I'm guilty of it in the sense that I think
- 15:28Speaker 2: all the friends kind of use each other like back
- 15:31Speaker 2: in that time, but like not use in a gross way.
- 15:34Speaker 2: It was more like, Hey, I have to do a
- 15:36Speaker 2: diff sunglass ad. Can you come and take the picture
- 15:38Speaker 2: with me? Yeah, But it's like there's a genuine friendship there,
- 15:41Speaker 2: and then like you go to dinner afterward and all that,
- 15:43Speaker 2: but like, yeah, double the Bachelor people in a pick
- 15:46Speaker 2: the double the likes.
- 15:47Speaker 4: I just also think, like Rachel Kirconnell, don't you think like,
- 15:51Speaker 4: just after all she's been through that the last thing
- 15:54Speaker 4: she's going to do is get involved with somebody from
- 15:56Speaker 4: Bachelor Nation.
- 15:57Speaker 3: I just want her to like be with a.
- 15:59Speaker 2: Super star, like I just like, I'm like, Rachel, I
- 16:03Speaker 2: want you to be a top model.
- 16:04Speaker 4: I just don't think it's like on her radar or
- 16:09Speaker 4: like what her vibe would be, Like, I just don't
- 16:11Speaker 4: see Rachel Kirconnell getting with a tailor Frankie Paul.
- 16:14Speaker 2: Cast Off, Yeah, I agree. I think this is the
- 16:18Speaker 2: extent to which she goes.
- 16:20Speaker 4: Exactly like she's she's having fun and like I'm sure
- 16:24Speaker 4: if her ex still follows her on social media, you.
- 16:27Speaker 3: Know, I don't know if he does.
- 16:29Speaker 4: Well, maybe it got back to him that she was
- 16:32Speaker 4: hanging out with a cute guy on vacation.
- 16:34Speaker 3: Yeah, I just can't believe how gorgeous he is. She is.
- 16:37Speaker 4: She's gorgeous, he's gorgeous. They're all gorgeous. You know, hot
- 16:42Speaker 4: people things.
- 16:44Speaker 2: More hot people. Emily Ferguson. She announced her third pregnancy,
- 16:47Speaker 2: and yes it is a boy. That is three boys.
- 16:51Speaker 2: She and I went back and forth like lightly on Instagram.
- 16:54Speaker 2: She told me about this pregnancy a few weeks ago.
- 16:58Speaker 2: I had said something along the lines of if you
- 17:01Speaker 2: have gender disappointment about having a boy, like just know this,
- 17:05Speaker 2: and she was like, thanks for this reminder because I'm
- 17:07Speaker 2: having my third boy. I was like, goodness, gracious girl.
- 17:13Speaker 2: I mean I would say, yay my own Jonas brothers.
- 17:17Speaker 2: She says, yay, my own hockey team. Yeah. The thing
- 17:22Speaker 2: is her kids are younger than mine, so she like,
- 17:24Speaker 2: legit is gonna have like three boys all under four,
- 17:29Speaker 2: like when this kid comes out, like they're all gonna
- 17:32Speaker 2: be four and under.
- 17:33Speaker 4: And is this the first time though, that she's pregnant
- 17:37Speaker 4: at the same time as her sister.
- 17:39Speaker 2: It might be yeah, because they posted that that was
- 17:42Speaker 2: like just like they were so in love with the
- 17:45Speaker 2: idea that was happening, and Haley is pregnant with her
- 17:48Speaker 2: second girl.
- 17:49Speaker 4: That's literally crazy to be twins and be pregnant at
- 17:54Speaker 4: the same time.
- 17:55Speaker 3: That's gotta be.
- 17:56Speaker 4: So like just twins doing things together through life, like
- 18:00Speaker 4: even hitting major milestones, Like that's crazy.
- 18:15Speaker 2: Next headline, Hannah Brown breaks down fearing She breaks down,
- 18:21Speaker 2: fearing that fans may not like her. She shares her
- 18:23Speaker 2: actual life. So this is like, was the saddest thing
- 18:26Speaker 2: ever I saw in real time. On Instagram story, she
- 18:30Speaker 2: said that she had a meeting with her team, you know,
- 18:33Speaker 2: like her management team, and they were like, we feel
- 18:35Speaker 2: like you're not opening up on Instagram, which I know
- 18:38Speaker 2: is like the silliest thing that people who aren't influencers
- 18:41Speaker 2: would need to get here whatever here, but basically they're like,
- 18:45Speaker 2: we just feel like, you know, you're not being yourself
- 18:47Speaker 2: on there. And then she came on Instagram and she
- 18:50Speaker 2: was like, yeah, like they were right. I feel like
- 18:53Speaker 2: the reason I don't share everything is because I don't
- 18:55Speaker 2: fully like myself right now, and so I think I'm
- 18:59Speaker 2: scared that if I show you guys my actual life,
- 19:01Speaker 2: you may not like me or I might let you down,
- 19:04Speaker 2: because I.
- 19:04Speaker 3: Do feel like a lot of people look up.
- 19:06Speaker 2: To me, and sometimes I'm like why, she said, I
- 19:10Speaker 2: don't have it all figured out, and I'm scared if
- 19:12Speaker 2: I did start showing more, you're gonna be like, oh
- 19:15Speaker 2: my gosh, she not okay, She's not okay, And maybe
- 19:20Speaker 2: I'm not right now. I've had a lot going on
- 19:23Speaker 2: and I want to be a better version of myself.
- 19:25Speaker 2: I really do, so maybe this breakdown is what I needed.
- 19:28Speaker 2: And it's like really sad. Hannah is going to be
- 19:31Speaker 2: coming to Audrey's in a few weeks, and.
- 19:34Speaker 3: I hope she's feeling better.
- 19:35Speaker 2: But by then, but she you know, has her third
- 19:38Speaker 2: book coming out and they're doing this big move. They're
- 19:41Speaker 2: living with her parents right now for maybe even up
- 19:44Speaker 2: to nine months when their house is getting reconstructed, and
- 19:48Speaker 2: they've been married for a year.
- 19:51Speaker 4: Almost I think, but something it sounds like some imposter syndrome,
- 19:55Speaker 4: which I'm sure like being on camera, like just being
- 20:01Speaker 4: plucked from obscurity in a lot of ways, Like you
- 20:04Speaker 4: can probably relate.
- 20:05Speaker 3: I'm sure you felt that at times too.
- 20:07Speaker 4: I can't imagine like being thrust into the spotlight and
- 20:09Speaker 4: like all of a sudden having a huge following and
- 20:11Speaker 4: you're like, wait, I'm just like a normal person, Like
- 20:13Speaker 4: what's happening to my life?
- 20:16Speaker 2: It's sometimes with brand deals, I'm like no, no, no, you don't.
- 20:18Speaker 2: You don't need to why would you want to pay me?
- 20:20Speaker 2: Why would no?
- 20:21Speaker 3: Like you know, or like I'll be I went to
- 20:24Speaker 3: the pool at the.
- 20:25Speaker 2: It was the Fourth Seasons the other day, and I
- 20:27Speaker 2: was like, I don't belong at the at the Four
- 20:29Speaker 2: Seasons pool. This is way too cool for me, Like
- 20:32Speaker 2: I'm going to be like a loser and so awkward here.
- 20:35Speaker 2: So it definitely is happening to me a little bit
- 20:37Speaker 2: more often too. And every time I go on Instagram
- 20:39Speaker 2: and I like I'm talking to it, like a lot
- 20:41Speaker 2: of the times I'll post slides with overlay because that's
- 20:44Speaker 2: what I feel like. I'm a better communicator through writing,
- 20:47Speaker 2: which is hilarious that I have a podcast that's lasted,
- 20:50Speaker 2: you know, eight nine years. But I feel like sometimes
- 20:55Speaker 2: when I flip the camera over and I'm just talking,
- 20:57Speaker 2: I'm just like, oh wow, I just don't know how
- 20:59Speaker 2: to talk, so like I guess I just won't or
- 21:02Speaker 2: maybe I'm sharing this, but it's really boring and why
- 21:05Speaker 2: would I need to put that out there for the world.
- 21:07Speaker 4: Do you ever feel like And maybe she's kind of
- 21:09Speaker 4: alluding to this too, but Instagram really a couple of
- 21:13Speaker 4: years ago started to become extremely curated and not real
- 21:18Speaker 4: whatsoever and unattainable in a lot of ways. And I
- 21:22Speaker 4: think TikTok becoming so prominent has really changed that because
- 21:26Speaker 4: TikTok is messy and raw and like who cares about
- 21:28Speaker 4: lighting and perfection and all of that, And so is
- 21:32Speaker 4: it maybe a mental shift to to like be open
- 21:34Speaker 4: and raw on Instagram where it was like, wait, just
- 21:37Speaker 4: a couple of years ago, everybody was like showing off
- 21:40Speaker 4: their curated life and that everything was rosy and gorgeous
- 21:44Speaker 4: and nobody was crying on Instagram, you know what I mean?
- 21:47Speaker 2: Okay, So yeah, I find that Instagram used to be
- 21:50Speaker 2: more curated than it is. Yeah, you know what I mean, right, Okay,
- 21:53Speaker 2: so that's what the page were on. Yes, And I
- 21:54Speaker 2: also feel like they've made the algorithm more and more game,
- 21:58Speaker 2: so it's just like it in like further confusing.
- 22:01Speaker 3: But maybe that's what she's struggling with.
- 22:03Speaker 2: Oh yeah, that's what I struggle with. On aw it's
- 22:05Speaker 2: the stupidest thing too. And again, like a person who's
- 22:09Speaker 2: on an influencer, but like I think about the algorithm
- 22:11Speaker 2: way too much because you can do stuff that you're
- 22:16Speaker 2: proud of or you think is really funny or relatable,
- 22:19Speaker 2: and then you post it and then it doesn't get
- 22:21Speaker 2: any hits and you're just like, wait, what.
- 22:24Speaker 3: Like that I thought that would have worked.
- 22:27Speaker 2: It didn't work, so you kind of like feel like
- 22:28Speaker 2: a failure sometimes a lot of the times when you
- 22:30Speaker 2: post something and you get more picky and then like
- 22:33Speaker 2: and then you're like, oh, but they tell us that
- 22:36Speaker 2: the more you post, the better your algorithm is doing,
- 22:39Speaker 2: So I guess I need to post more, But then
- 22:41Speaker 2: I feel stupid. So I totally understand what she's talking about,
- 22:45Speaker 2: if that's what she's If that's what she's talking about.
- 22:47Speaker 4: Yeah, And then when you're super authentic, then you're also
- 22:50Speaker 4: opening yourself up to criticism and negativity, and so you're like, well,
- 22:53Speaker 4: you're criticizing a part of me, or you're criticizing my life,
- 22:57Speaker 4: So then that can be like a personal attack. But
- 23:01Speaker 4: if you don't open up and you don't open up
- 23:03Speaker 4: to your audience, then you never know how they're going
- 23:06Speaker 4: to react to you being vulnerable. So I'm sure it's
- 23:08Speaker 4: a catch twenty two in a lot of ways that
- 23:11Speaker 4: I will never fully understand because that's not the world
- 23:14Speaker 4: that I'm in. But it sounds like you can relate
- 23:16Speaker 4: to what she's going through.
- 23:18Speaker 2: Yeah, And also like she had that moment of cancelization
- 23:22Speaker 2: and this is like five years ago. But I can
- 23:24Speaker 2: only imagine that also hinders how open you are. Yeah,
- 23:31Speaker 2: we don't need to get into that moment of hers,
- 23:33Speaker 2: but I can only imagine, like, I've said some dumb
- 23:36Speaker 2: things and it makes you more and more censored.
- 23:40Speaker 4: Yeah, she's also married, right, so maybe she's also being like,
- 23:45Speaker 4: if I say things now, it's also a reflection on
- 23:48Speaker 4: my husband or something could come for my husband, you
- 23:51Speaker 4: know what I mean.
- 23:52Speaker 3: So I'm sure there's a lot of layers to it, but.
- 23:55Speaker 4: At the end of the day, I think it's really
- 23:57Speaker 4: big of her to open up and share even this
- 24:00Speaker 4: that she's struggling with it on her social media and
- 24:03Speaker 4: like let people in and see kind of that side
- 24:05Speaker 4: of her a little bit, and you know, maybe she'll
- 24:08Speaker 4: start to open up a little bit more and whatever
- 24:10Speaker 4: feels comfortable for her.
- 24:13Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 24:13Speaker 2: I overanalyze everything that I put out there, and it's like,
- 24:17Speaker 2: you know, it's weird because you're like, oh and being
- 24:19Speaker 2: so myself, But then all the same time, like everything's
- 24:23Speaker 2: thought through, even if it seems really organic. No.
- 24:26Speaker 4: I think that that's the case with a lot of
- 24:29Speaker 4: people that are in your field of work.
- 24:32Speaker 2: Yeah, well, we can ask Hannah a little bit more
- 24:35Speaker 2: about this if she's willing to share when she does
- 24:38Speaker 2: our podcasts in a few weeks. Until then, and well,
- 24:41Speaker 2: actually we'll see in a few days, I'm sure. But
- 24:45Speaker 2: until a few days, I've been Ashley, I'm in Heather.
- 24:48Speaker 1: I Please follow the Ben and Ashley I Almost Famous
