- 1:05Speaker 2: human being. They're local here in Louisiana, right, so they

- 1:39Speaker 2: Coast Office Products powering your productivity?
- 1:46Speaker 3: I love that robot. I don't love that robot. How'd
- 1:50Speaker 3: you do that Atlandra? Like? Is there a website or
- 1:52Speaker 3: did you just?
- 1:53Speaker 4: I did it on Adobe? So I just had Matt.
- 1:56Speaker 5: I came in here and I was like, Matt, just
- 1:57Speaker 5: say Matt Flynn and say raising Kane Studio and he
- 2:01Speaker 5: said it in like the.
- 2:03Speaker 4: Driest way possible that flin. So then I just put
- 2:07Speaker 4: it in Adobe and I.
- 2:08Speaker 3: Would have just said, can you say in a robot boy?
- 2:10Speaker 3: Map plan much better?
- 2:14Speaker 4: It's bad? Yeah, I just messed with it on.
- 2:17Speaker 2: It reminds me of the time I've told you all
- 2:19Speaker 2: this before, but when when Tea Bob was doing like
- 2:22Speaker 2: the Song of Purple and Goal. I filled in for
- 2:25Speaker 2: Jordie one day in here and T Bob was like, hey,
- 2:28Speaker 2: read this real quick, and it was like, you know,
- 2:30Speaker 2: some two or three lines whatever, and was I just
- 2:33Speaker 2: read them like yeah, like kind of like this, like
- 2:35Speaker 2: not really knowing what was going on and it was
- 2:37Speaker 2: for that, and it was like this very intense scene
- 2:40Speaker 2: like me, like me and Richard, what were the brothers flustering?
- 2:43Speaker 3: Right, we're part of it?
- 2:45Speaker 2: And I read it and it was so dry, and
- 2:47Speaker 2: I was like, dude, if you'd have told me this
- 2:49Speaker 2: was going in the Song of Purple and Gold, I
- 2:51Speaker 2: would have like had some you know, voice changes and
- 2:54Speaker 2: gone up gone down inflection.
- 2:56Speaker 3: Yeah, Like he didn't give you any nothing.
- 3:02Speaker 2: That's what it reminded me of the brothers flustering. All right,
- 3:11Speaker 2: let's get you a little big deal or no big deal.
- 3:14Speaker 4: Big deals.
- 3:15Speaker 2: No big deal, big deal, no big deal, big deal.
- 3:20Speaker 6: No big deal, no big deal, no big deal.
- 3:25Speaker 4: That's a big deal.
- 3:28Speaker 2: All right, big deal are no big deal? The Big
- 3:32Speaker 2: Ten is discussing a two billion dollar private capital deal.
- 3:39Speaker 2: So the Big Ten is in discussions about a private
- 3:41Speaker 2: capital deal that would infuse at least two billion dollars
- 3:45Speaker 2: into the league and its schools. So this discussion would
- 3:49Speaker 2: include a ten year extension of the league's grant of
- 3:52Speaker 2: rights until twenty forty six as well, which would ensure
- 3:56Speaker 2: long term stability in the Big Ten.
- 4:00Speaker 3: To Billy, that's a big number. So I would say
- 4:06Speaker 3: it's a big deal. Are you talking about private equity investing?
- 4:09Speaker 3: And I don't know the details because I did see
- 4:11Speaker 3: this headline that was actually what I was going to
- 4:12Speaker 3: bring up is my big deal, So I did, but
- 4:16Speaker 3: I didn't have the chance to kind of like dive
- 4:19Speaker 3: into the minutia of what it means. But like from
- 4:21Speaker 3: the cuff, from like the clickbit headlines, it means like
- 4:24Speaker 3: it sounds like private equity. Yeah, is investing in the
- 4:28Speaker 3: which we've talked about in college football over the last
- 4:30Speaker 3: couple of years. Yeah, which what there will be some
- 4:31Speaker 3: monetary value to gain for that private equity company obviously,
- 4:34Speaker 3: so they would be just it's like investing in any company,
- 4:37Speaker 3: Like you would invest this money and you get these
- 4:40Speaker 3: rights to that and you get you get your returns
- 4:42Speaker 3: from it.
- 4:44Speaker 2: Well, I mean, so the grand of rights stuff here
- 4:46Speaker 2: in the article says the private capital deal and grant
- 4:49Speaker 2: of rights extension that have been discussed here in this
- 4:52Speaker 2: deal and presented in multiple forms. A deal and the
- 4:55Speaker 2: grant of rights extension would also be a big blow
- 4:59Speaker 2: to the outside entities attempting to form a super league
- 5:03Speaker 2: around college sports, which is good. I don't want a
- 5:06Speaker 2: super league that's I hate that. I mean, look, the
- 5:11Speaker 2: Big ten, the Big ten. I feel like the Big
- 5:13Speaker 2: ten sees blood in the water, and they're going after everything,
- 5:19Speaker 2: certainly in college football, in college athletics.
- 5:21Speaker 3: Right now, they've won the last two national championships.
- 5:24Speaker 2: They're trying to be the top dog right now, and
- 5:26Speaker 2: so they're trying to put their foot all the way
- 5:29Speaker 2: down on the pedal and become the leader.
- 5:31Speaker 3: The only thing they're not going after is like a
- 5:33Speaker 3: good time slot for their prime time games. You don't
- 5:36Speaker 3: like a good big brunch matchup. M some you're from
- 5:43Speaker 3: the Midwest without telling me you're from the Midwest. A ya,
- 5:49Speaker 3: Elandrae big deal?
- 5:50Speaker 5: Yeah, I've got one big deal or no big deal
- 5:55Speaker 5: telling your star player of the whole entire league possibly
- 6:00Speaker 5: the only reason anybody ever tunes into any of your games.
- 6:05Speaker 5: That she should be grateful she makes sixteen million dollars
- 6:08Speaker 5: off the court, because without the platform the WNBA gives her,
- 6:12Speaker 5: she wouldn't make anything. Yeah, this is referring to the
- 6:16Speaker 5: WNBA commissioner.
- 6:18Speaker 4: Saying that about Caitlin Clark, which I find to.
- 6:21Speaker 5: Be absolutely absurd, like just an absurd, completely unaware statement
- 6:28Speaker 5: that she is making and just dumb like there's no
- 6:32Speaker 5: other way.
- 6:32Speaker 3: The commissioner said that. Yeah, yeah, yeah, the commissioner wasn't
- 6:37Speaker 3: right now.
- 6:37Speaker 4: She gave out she's doing like a press.
- 6:40Speaker 2: Conference, right, so in the press com Well, no, so
- 6:43Speaker 2: was actually I think it was going on. I guess
- 6:45Speaker 2: the it was going around two different So you remember
- 6:47Speaker 2: how Goodell during the lockout. I don't know if he
- 6:50Speaker 2: came to Green Bay, probably hard to get a flight
- 6:52Speaker 2: into there, but he would go around to different teams
- 6:55Speaker 2: and he would like, you know, hey, we're having to
- 6:57Speaker 2: lock out. Any questions you have and he'd like, we'd
- 7:02Speaker 2: sit there and we'd ask him questions and he didn't
- 7:04Speaker 2: have a lot of answers. But ye, so I think
- 7:06Speaker 2: it was one of those situations if I had the
- 7:08Speaker 2: read write on this, like going around and answering any
- 7:10Speaker 2: questions about players, and players kind of pressed or pressed
- 7:13Speaker 2: or pressed her. And it feels like she got upset
- 7:15Speaker 2: about it and had a bunch of quotes like this,
- 7:17Speaker 2: and the players kept her seats on these quotes.
- 7:20Speaker 3: Wow, it's interesting.
- 7:22Speaker 7: The deal she was in the w N she was
- 7:25Speaker 7: probably making more in il money than her contract.
- 7:30Speaker 6: Well it's a big deal because you said it publicly,
- 7:32Speaker 6: but also it's not accurate.
- 7:34Speaker 3: Yeah, what a small minded like unaware, I have some
- 7:38Speaker 3: have some awareness, Like right, every woman in that league
- 7:42Speaker 3: is going to make more money.
- 7:43Speaker 2: Because of Caitlyn Clark the eyeballs.
- 7:46Speaker 3: We talked about this. That was like one of the
- 7:48Speaker 3: first things I brought to the show was during baseball
- 7:51Speaker 3: season going to the World Series. I had a Kaitlyn
- 7:53Speaker 3: Crt like segment where I told you about all the
- 7:55Speaker 3: monetary benefits and the viewership that has jumped, like it's
- 7:59Speaker 3: not even like gained a little bit like twenty thirty.
- 8:02Speaker 3: It's like tripling quadruble sport right now.
- 8:05Speaker 5: And it went down when she she went out with
- 8:07Speaker 5: like a hamstringing.
- 8:08Speaker 3: Went down by like a million people viewing the games.
- 8:12Speaker 3: Like the average viewership I think went from like three
- 8:16Speaker 3: four hundred thousand to like over two million something.
- 8:18Speaker 4: It's like they're self sabotaging themselves.
- 8:21Speaker 3: Yeah, it's just a small really mind. Yeah, Like it's
- 8:24Speaker 3: a fireable offense one hundred percent or replaceable whatever whatever
- 8:27Speaker 3: you do with the commission, How do you fire whatever?
- 8:29Speaker 5: How do you have people like this and positions like
- 8:33Speaker 5: this that have zero pr training?
- 8:37Speaker 3: What makes you?
- 8:39Speaker 4: What makes you.
- 8:39Speaker 5: Go out there and say that about the one person
- 8:42Speaker 5: that's bringing eyeballs to your organization, Like, and that is
- 8:46Speaker 5: proof by the numbers that Matt gave earlier this year
- 8:50Speaker 5: and by when she was injured them going down.
- 8:54Speaker 7: Yeah, it's so weird, you know, whether it's the commissioner
- 8:57Speaker 7: now has joined in. You know you heard some of
- 8:59Speaker 7: the players talk nag like the WNBA needs Caitlin Clark
- 9:03Speaker 7: way more than she needs them.
- 9:04Speaker 6: Yeah, and everybody hates it.
- 9:08Speaker 3: Why that's a great.
- 9:11Speaker 5: Question, all right, we don't need to start being sexist
- 9:13Speaker 5: in the chat though.
- 9:17Speaker 6: Big dealer, no big deal.
- 9:19Speaker 8: The city of New Orleans will host the college football
- 9:22Speaker 8: Playoff title.
- 9:23Speaker 6: Game in twenty twenty eight.
- 9:26Speaker 8: Every year and it's in New Orleans, the LSU Tigers
- 9:30Speaker 8: find a way to be there.
- 9:32Speaker 3: Big dealer, no.
- 9:32Speaker 2: Big deal, always a big deal. New Orleans should host
- 9:35Speaker 2: every major event. It is the best host city. We
- 9:39Speaker 2: just had the Super Bowl there and I've been to
- 9:40Speaker 2: many Super Bowls and New Orleans does it better than anybody.
- 9:43Speaker 3: They do college games better than anybody.
- 9:45Speaker 2: So I am all for any major sporting event that's
- 9:50Speaker 2: going to be in the city. So yeah, it's a
- 9:52Speaker 2: big deal because LSU two thousand and three. They make
- 9:55Speaker 2: it seven, they make it eleven, they make it nineteen,
- 9:57Speaker 2: they make it.
- 9:58Speaker 3: You're right, like if it's in New Orleans.
- 10:00Speaker 2: Hell even going back to the one you won in
- 10:02Speaker 2: the fifties, that that was you beat Clemson in the
- 10:05Speaker 2: Sugar Bowl, So like that one's in New Orleans. So yeah,
- 10:09Speaker 2: New Orleans, LSU. It's a good thing. M Oh yeah,
- 10:12Speaker 2: it's always a good thing. Every Yeah, every event should
- 10:14Speaker 2: be held in New Orleans.
- 10:16Speaker 3: It's a perfect spot.
- 10:18Speaker 2: Walkable city, city, great food, food and music day yea.
- 10:24Speaker 3: Mm hmm. Big you ready? Yeah? Oh you are ready.
- 10:28Speaker 3: I was like, I got another one. If you're not ready, okay,
- 10:31Speaker 3: I haven't like tightened up this question, all right. I
- 10:33Speaker 3: got while you're tightening up, then I'm just kidding. Whatever.
- 10:36Speaker 3: A big deal, but no big deal, all right. So
- 10:38Speaker 3: we hadn't really talked about it because of like the
- 10:40Speaker 3: l s U issues on Monday. But Ryder Cup was
- 10:43Speaker 3: this past weekend. A lot of drama coming from at
- 10:47Speaker 3: Death Page, which is in New York. I think it's
- 10:49Speaker 3: on Long Island. New York fans always known to be
- 10:53Speaker 3: extremely passionate, maybe cross the line a little bit, well,
- 10:56Speaker 3: they brought that same energy to the golfing world. Horse
- 11:00Speaker 3: Ryder Cup is the most passionate. It's the most like,
- 11:02Speaker 3: uh normal, like sport event type situation, like with the
- 11:06Speaker 3: crowd screaming. This only golf event where you can boo
- 11:09Speaker 3: the other team for ritting bad shots. Usually there's a
- 11:11Speaker 3: lot of etiquette involved. Well, they took it a little
- 11:14Speaker 3: further than most golf fans usually do. A lot of
- 11:16Speaker 3: criticism coming from the European side of things, saying they
- 11:19Speaker 3: took it too far. Some American people in the PGA
- 11:24Speaker 3: also agree with that, but you know, Ry McRoy afterwards
- 11:28Speaker 3: in the press conference say golf should be held to
- 11:30Speaker 3: a higher standard. There should be. It's we teach etiquette,
- 11:33Speaker 3: we teach it's different. There's also eclipse of Roy McRoy
- 11:38Speaker 3: making putts and turning to the crowd and pointing and
- 11:40Speaker 3: saying f you, f you, f you. So which one
- 11:42Speaker 3: is it? That's my question?
- 11:44Speaker 2: But anyway, Yeah, that's why I don't like golf. It's
- 11:47Speaker 2: just not my sport. It's not my vibe.
- 11:49Speaker 3: Crowd getting going over the top, big deal, no big deal.
- 11:53Speaker 7: I think golf needs more of this. You don't just
- 11:55Speaker 7: need to stand there and be completely quiet the whole time. Like,
- 11:58Speaker 7: I love that you just mentioned it. You're allowed to
- 12:01Speaker 7: do that at this event. You just said, it's the
- 12:02Speaker 7: only event where you're allowed to boo when opposing players
- 12:05Speaker 7: do bad. They were just doing what they're allowed to
- 12:07Speaker 7: do and having a little fun.
- 12:08Speaker 3: Yeah, it's a sporting event. Like they probably took it
- 12:10Speaker 3: a little fire. How did you take it too far? Though?
- 12:13Speaker 3: I don't know, well, I think there there was some
- 12:15Speaker 3: other things that were saying they did hit ry Rory
- 12:19Speaker 3: mcroy's wife with a with a drink when they were
- 12:21Speaker 3: trying to throw that Rory okaye, Like that's a that's
- 12:25Speaker 3: crossing the line obviously, But it's like you're you're also
- 12:28Speaker 3: like in sports is you got you got fans in
- 12:30Speaker 3: the bleachers and you got players on the field. There's
- 12:32Speaker 3: like a there's like a clear defined like gap between
- 12:35Speaker 3: you can't get to them, like in a golf you're
- 12:36Speaker 3: like right next to him.
- 12:38Speaker 4: True.
- 12:40Speaker 6: I can see Rory being like, damn few people, this
- 12:42Speaker 6: is golf.
- 12:43Speaker 3: Is golf.
- 12:44Speaker 4: Yeah, I just go but in an accent, right, what
- 12:47Speaker 4: is he irish?
- 12:48Speaker 3: Irish?
- 12:50Speaker 4: This is golf.
- 12:51Speaker 3: I did like, yeah, hard between take your head between
- 12:58Speaker 3: your legs and kiss your own arm us. That's prave part.
- 13:01Speaker 2: Yeah, yep, I just yeah, like any sport that you
- 13:08Speaker 2: say etiquette, I'm out again. Not not saying I'm right,
- 13:13Speaker 2: just I'm out me personally. What do you think you're
- 13:17Speaker 2: the golf in.
- 13:18Speaker 3: The chat right now? How did COVID ruined cough so
- 13:20Speaker 3: earlier COVID apparently ruined sports cards, and that ruined cough
- 13:24Speaker 3: the ruins sports cards. I thought, I thought it made
- 13:26Speaker 3: it better.
- 13:30Speaker 7: I give the man who sits in that chair right there,
- 13:33Speaker 7: one to three lived about the fans.
- 13:37Speaker 3: Oh, saying they were two oversize? Is royal?
- 13:41Speaker 6: That one?
- 13:42Speaker 3: Yeah, well i'd say it said and live no doubt probably,
- 13:48Speaker 3: I think is a let's start the rumor right here.
- 13:51Speaker 3: He's a closet live lover loves it.
- 13:56Speaker 4: Honestly, I could see that.
- 13:57Speaker 3: I could see it happening. I think it's true. I
- 13:59Speaker 3: actually seen him in his office streaming like secretly, secretly,
- 14:05Speaker 3: Hey what do you doing? Nothing? Nothing?
- 14:06Speaker 9: Nothing nothing, Look, come on, Patrick Creed, make the punt, Rosan,
- 14:14Speaker 9: come on Bryson watching Bryson YouTube clips is.
- 14:19Speaker 3: What a freak again?
- 14:22Speaker 2: Mike, let me go to a sporting event where I
- 14:26Speaker 2: have to literally it's called a golf clap. I'm good, yeah,
- 14:31Speaker 2: And I get like, I get it. I I like again,
- 14:35Speaker 2: I'm not right, I get I get the excitement, and
- 14:39Speaker 2: I get like the mask, I get all that.
- 14:41Speaker 3: I'm just saying like for me, like you'd rather cheer
- 14:46Speaker 3: for that guy that gets carried off in a stretcher
- 14:50Speaker 3: off the off the pitch and runs back out for you.
- 14:53Speaker 2: See, there's different versions of soccer like and and if
- 14:56Speaker 2: you'd open your mind up a little bit and hear
- 14:58Speaker 2: the conversation, like the Bundesliga in Germany is a very
- 15:01Speaker 2: physical league, like they don't have all that right now.
- 15:03Speaker 3: If you watch La Liga or if you watch.
- 15:06Speaker 2: Some other leagues, yeah, you can hear like even the
- 15:08Speaker 2: epl's got gotten bad. Like the Championship though in England
- 15:12Speaker 2: is the complete opposite of that, so you get a
- 15:13Speaker 2: different brand of it. And uh yeah, prefer soccer hooligan
- 15:17Speaker 2: fans over golf etiquette. Again, it's not right. I'm just
- 15:20Speaker 2: telling you what I prefer. So watch some Bundesliga this weekend.
- 15:25Speaker 3: I heard it.

- 18:15Speaker 2: Michael Johnson.
- 18:16Speaker 1: Get ready to tantalize your taste buds and leave this
- 18:19Speaker 1: segment Hungry. This is Munchies with Executive Chef Michael Johnson.
- 18:28Speaker 3: Chef. What's going on? Brother? How you doing?
- 18:31Speaker 10: You know, I'm good This morning, gentleman, I'm reminded of
- 18:35Speaker 10: the importance of humility in the kitchen.
- 18:37Speaker 2: Oh no, no, no, I cannot wait.
- 18:41Speaker 3: What happened this morning?
- 18:43Speaker 10: Well, you know, one day you're standing on the sidelines
- 18:46Speaker 10: with the football team and the head coach cheering them on,
- 18:48Speaker 10: and the next day you're standing with wet sox full
- 18:50Speaker 10: of you're not really sure what, not really wanting to
- 18:53Speaker 10: know what in the dish pit. So, oh no, you
- 18:57Speaker 10: just have to keep that, you know, Like, remember you
- 19:00Speaker 10: came from I got my start in the dish pit,
- 19:02Speaker 10: and so you can't ever be above the dishpit. So yeah,
- 19:07Speaker 10: I'm earning it today.
- 19:08Speaker 2: Did we get to the root of the problem. Do
- 19:10Speaker 2: we know what happened in the dish pit?
- 19:12Speaker 1: Oh?
- 19:13Speaker 10: Yeah, no, yeah, it's it's only personnel. I mean, you know,
- 19:16Speaker 10: the person The part of my job that I loved
- 19:18Speaker 10: the most is also the most challenging part of my job.
- 19:20Speaker 10: And it's always the people, you know what I mean.
- 19:24Speaker 3: Yeah, that's why the head chef commands respect because he
- 19:27Speaker 3: has done it all and continues to be willing to
- 19:29Speaker 3: do it all.
- 19:30Speaker 2: Yeah, doing well, It's good to see you back on
- 19:33Speaker 2: the road, uh this last weekend and two below Mississippi.
- 19:38Speaker 2: Unfortunately the game didn't go the Tiger's way, but it
- 19:41Speaker 2: looked like all was well, like a whale oil machine,
- 19:44Speaker 2: like you know, back like you never left before.
- 19:47Speaker 10: Yeah, it was good to be on the road again
- 19:49Speaker 10: and then be there and spend the time with the guys.
- 19:51Speaker 10: It's important to me to build relationships and trust and
- 19:54Speaker 10: so the outcome wasn't what we were looking for, but
- 19:58Speaker 10: you know, we just try harder next time, all right, Jeff.
- 20:01Speaker 2: So it's a bye week for the football team. Now,
- 20:03Speaker 2: I know the nutrition center doesn't stop there. You you
- 20:07Speaker 2: feed all the athletes there for l s U. But
- 20:09Speaker 2: does anything change for the bye week for the football
- 20:13Speaker 2: team or is it kind of just more the same
- 20:15Speaker 2: and just kind of different days maybe different timing.
- 20:18Speaker 10: No. Actually, they try to keep the schedule as the
- 20:21Speaker 10: same as much as possible so that there's not any shift,
- 20:23Speaker 10: you know what I mean, so that the bye week
- 20:25Speaker 10: is not impactive to them. So you know that there's
- 20:28Speaker 10: a there's a breakfast that we cater to them early
- 20:31Speaker 10: on a certain day of the week. But and that's
- 20:34Speaker 10: different for us, but they're usually here anyway. It's it's
- 20:37Speaker 10: you know, mild, mild different morning brothers. But by and large,
- 20:40Speaker 10: they try to keep the schedule the same so that
- 20:42Speaker 10: their bodies are in rhythm. Right.
- 20:45Speaker 3: Sof for is it a seven day operation of there?
- 20:48Speaker 3: Is it five days?
- 20:49Speaker 10: Five days?
- 20:50Speaker 3: Yeah?
- 20:51Speaker 10: We used to be six days, but we've we've channeled
- 20:55Speaker 10: it back to five now.
- 20:56Speaker 3: So okay. So for their nutrition and meals in the weekend,
- 21:00Speaker 3: is it like is there take home take home things?
- 21:02Speaker 3: Is it? Are they just kind of on their own?
- 21:05Speaker 10: Yeah? Red card is what they use. I can't exactly
- 21:09Speaker 10: explain it to you, but I think it's like, yeah,
- 21:11Speaker 10: red card.
- 21:12Speaker 3: What's red card? Matt? I don't know. You act like
- 21:14Speaker 3: you know what it is. It's a pretty much say
- 21:17Speaker 3: it greg me if I'm wrong, sho. It's a credit card.
- 21:19Speaker 3: It's got it's got dollars loaded into it, and then go
- 21:22Speaker 3: to different restaurants. It's pretty okay.
- 21:27Speaker 10: Certain restaurants accepted, that's right. Yeah, It's kind of like
- 21:29Speaker 10: members only club.
- 21:30Speaker 2: Back of the day, geez, I was just trying to
- 21:33Speaker 2: get a couple of corn Brad muffins from Missed Alphine
- 21:35Speaker 2: at the cafeteria back in the day.
- 21:38Speaker 3: On the weekend they got a red card. What was
- 21:40Speaker 3: that thing we used to have our parents had to
- 21:41Speaker 3: load the money into. Is like tiger cat? There you go.
- 21:46Speaker 2: Yeah, yeah, sounds of change.
- 21:51Speaker 3: Oh man, it must be nice.
- 21:54Speaker 2: She after calling you bad luck was old miss first
- 21:58Speaker 2: road game of the season is head luck.
- 22:00Speaker 3: I ain't on chef. Yeah, that's not on chef.
- 22:04Speaker 10: That sounds like baseball fans to me.
- 22:09Speaker 3: Uh, chef, you enjoyed the postseason? Baseball?
- 22:12Speaker 2: I know you're a baseball guy at hard You've worked
- 22:14Speaker 2: in a lot of minor league major league stadiums.
- 22:16Speaker 3: You enjoyed the postseason so far?
- 22:17Speaker 10: Yeah, you know. I was excited to see the Mariners
- 22:20Speaker 10: show up, and I hope they do some good man.
- 22:24Speaker 10: You know, like I always cheer for the underdog, and
- 22:27Speaker 10: the Mariners have never done it right, and so I
- 22:29Speaker 10: have I have a little soft spot to see that.
- 22:31Speaker 10: Plus I work for them, so they're they're not my
- 22:34Speaker 10: They're not my first team, but they are one of
- 22:35Speaker 10: my teams, so I'll cheer for them.
- 22:38Speaker 3: Big dumper, all right, chef hashtag munches here. I'm frying
- 22:42Speaker 3: boneless pork chops this afternoon. Any tips for chef to
- 22:45Speaker 3: ensure they're crispy and the breading holds frying.
- 22:51Speaker 10: Is that what you said?
- 22:52Speaker 3: Oh h, frying, Yes, frying boneless pork chops.
- 22:55Speaker 10: Well, one thing I don't do with the boneless pork
- 22:57Speaker 10: chop before I fried, is I branded. And if you
- 22:59Speaker 10: don't have time to do that, this fine, But you know,
- 23:01Speaker 10: the brine helps hold the moisture and when you're frying,
- 23:05Speaker 10: and you know, like you can use an egg mix
- 23:08Speaker 10: in your in your milk. You want your you want
- 23:11Speaker 10: your your batter before you go into your breading. So
- 23:14Speaker 10: what I do is I use an egg mix, right,
- 23:17Speaker 10: like several whole eggs in with my milk. You know,
- 23:20Speaker 10: depending if I'm using a gallon of milk, I'm probably
- 23:22Speaker 10: using like six eggs. And what you're looking for is
- 23:24Speaker 10: a thicker consistency, you know, like almost like eggnog or buttermilk, right,
- 23:29Speaker 10: and then you you uh, like dry flour or corn
- 23:33Speaker 10: starts which other whichever on the steak it's or on
- 23:36Speaker 10: the chop itself, then into the wet, back to the flour,
- 23:41Speaker 10: back to wet, and then use like your bread crumber
- 23:44Speaker 10: or your Japanese bread crumb or whatever. So I do
- 23:46Speaker 10: it several times ensure that it sticks. If you if
- 23:49Speaker 10: you take the or you can take the pork chop
- 23:52Speaker 10: into the batter and the into the flour mix back
- 23:55Speaker 10: to the batter, back and then to your your your breadcrumber, whatever.
- 24:00Speaker 10: But you want to make sure that you get a
- 24:01Speaker 10: couple of layers of the flour in there to make
- 24:03Speaker 10: sure that it's sticking and holding in the liquid. That
- 24:06Speaker 10: that thicker liquid. Plus you want it nice and cold too,
- 24:09Speaker 10: you know, like you don't want your you don't want
- 24:10Speaker 10: your liquid warm because it's it's uh, it holds thicker
- 24:14Speaker 10: when it's when it's real cold. If it's warm, it's
- 24:16Speaker 10: gonna it's gonna get thinner and run. So yeah, that.
- 24:21Speaker 3: Liquid flour liquid breading.
- 24:25Speaker 10: That's right, all right? Wait wait say that again.
- 24:30Speaker 3: Okay, that's what I'm trying. So liquid flour, back to
- 24:33Speaker 3: the liquid, then the breading.
- 24:35Speaker 10: Uh, that's correct. Yeah, So you want to have a
- 24:37Speaker 10: nice coating of flour on there. Uh uh if you
- 24:40Speaker 10: if you prefer, you can go into the flour liquid,
- 24:43Speaker 10: back to the flour liquid again and then to your
- 24:46Speaker 10: crumb and then you're gonna have a real thick uh,
- 24:48Speaker 10: real thick flour coating on it. It's overkilled, but it's
- 24:51Speaker 10: gonna make you know, Like, it also depends on how
- 24:53Speaker 10: thick your porkstop is. Like, if you have a big
- 24:55Speaker 10: thick pork stop and it's gonna sit in the fryer
- 24:58Speaker 10: for a while, you definitely want to have a thicker
- 25:00Speaker 10: coating of breading on there, and you want to turn
- 25:05Speaker 10: your fryer down a little bit too. You're like, if
- 25:07Speaker 10: it's a half inch to a quarter inch like your
- 25:11Speaker 10: thin finport chops, you can go three seventy five three fifty.
- 25:14Speaker 10: But if it's going to be thicker than that, I
- 25:15Speaker 10: usually go down in the three twenty five and let
- 25:18Speaker 10: it happen a little bit slower.
- 25:20Speaker 2: Hashtag munchies thoughts on people asking AI to come up
- 25:24Speaker 2: with a recipe instead of coming up with one on
- 25:27Speaker 2: their own.
- 25:28Speaker 10: We actually do it every day here.
- 25:29Speaker 3: Oh let's go. I love it.
- 25:31Speaker 10: Yeah, so loves And what we do is it's a foundation. Right.
- 25:36Speaker 10: We don't actually use the recipe, but if I say,
- 25:38Speaker 10: you know, I want a healthy recipe with and the
- 25:41Speaker 10: more specific you are about it, YEA. The more beneficial
- 25:44Speaker 10: it is, right, So in order for us to produce
- 25:47Speaker 10: our recipe, we have to go in and manipulate it still,
- 25:50Speaker 10: but it's going to produce a foundation of a menu
- 25:54Speaker 10: versus me having to type it all out. It's going
- 25:56Speaker 10: to produce the foundation of a menu that I can
- 25:58Speaker 10: go in and manipulate faster than I can, you know,
- 26:02Speaker 10: going in and writing one cup flow or one cup
- 26:04Speaker 10: of sugar, one cup of this, and instead it's automatically
- 26:07Speaker 10: going to populate that quicker and faster than I can.
- 26:10Speaker 10: So there is benefit to it, but we don't use
- 26:12Speaker 10: it to replace you.
- 26:13Speaker 3: So yeah, yeah, all right, hashtag munchies here. Can you
- 26:16Speaker 3: freeze fresh jalapenos? Because I got bookoo jalapenos in my garden.
- 26:22Speaker 10: Yeah, so we do freeze our jalapenos. It's kind of
- 26:25Speaker 10: last last resort. And also we try to blast freeze
- 26:29Speaker 10: them right in negative forty so fruits and vegetables if
- 26:32Speaker 10: you get them down to like at very least negative
- 26:36Speaker 10: twenty five degrees. At negative twenty five degrees, you have
- 26:39Speaker 10: what's called a blast freeze. And when things freeze, they
- 26:43Speaker 10: don't actually produce ice crystals, and those ice crystals are
- 26:46Speaker 10: what like if you've ever frozen something fish or a vegetable,
- 26:50Speaker 10: and then when you thought back out, it's it looks,
- 26:53Speaker 10: you know, like like it's been frozen, right, and it
- 26:56Speaker 10: loses liquid and it spills out and there's soft and
- 26:59Speaker 10: lamp and everything else. That's because the ice crystals, you know,
- 27:02Speaker 10: like thinking about ice crystals, they're super sharp, right, and
- 27:05Speaker 10: as they as they spread, you know, water water expands,
- 27:08Speaker 10: and that water expands and forms those crystals. They pierced
- 27:11Speaker 10: through the self structure of whatever is being frozen. So
- 27:15Speaker 10: when you thought back out, that self structure thaws and
- 27:17Speaker 10: it releases whatever was inside the cell structure, and so
- 27:20Speaker 10: you get this limp noodle of a of a of
- 27:23Speaker 10: a product. But if you do it maybe it's twenty
- 27:26Speaker 10: five degrees. It's called flash freezing, and that that that
- 27:29Speaker 10: that crystal doesn't have time to form and the self
- 27:33Speaker 10: structures freeze in place without without deformation or loss.
- 27:39Speaker 3: Whoa, whoa Wow, that just blew my mind, Chef, I'm
- 27:43Speaker 3: telling you, yeah, certainly here on CTE O t B,
- 27:45Speaker 3: that just blew our minds. Freezer in like residential blast freezers,
- 27:50Speaker 3: I don't think we need you with a blast freezer.
- 27:52Speaker 2: Chef, we love you, We thank you, always look forward
- 27:55Speaker 2: to this segment.
- 27:56Speaker 3: We appreciate time, sir.
- 27:58Speaker 10: Likewise, take care, guys, Thank you all right.
- 28:00Speaker 2: Chef Michael Johnson, LSU Executive. Good to see him on
- 28:04Speaker 2: the road and catch up with him. They're in Tupelo
- 28:07Speaker 2: last weekend. The boys were fed, right, right, So don't
- 28:10Speaker 2: blame chef, all right, No jinks for chef.
- 28:13Speaker 3: Your tongue out there.
- 28:16Speaker 2: All right, we'll take a break more OTB when we
- 28:18Speaker 2: come back here live from the Raising kne studio.
- 28:21Speaker 1: Off the bench.
- 28:23Speaker 3: Oh ride.
- 28:24Speaker 2: Everything Chef just describes sounds delicious, be even better with
- 28:29Speaker 2: a nice cold dose.
- 28:30Speaker 3: Secies, I was that, you know what? That wasn't your worst?
- 28:33Speaker 3: That was actually pretty pretty decent. I usually make a
- 28:35Speaker 3: really nice sound of an opening can.
- 28:37Speaker 2: That sounds like something you practiced in the mirror. You
- 28:39Speaker 2: should always go for dose. It is a great time,
- 28:42Speaker 2: the perfect time, some would say, to go for dose.
- 28:45Speaker 2: You're watching football, a little risk free football here coming
- 28:48Speaker 2: up this Saturday, maybe even a chance to watch the
- 28:52Speaker 2: Saints win a game against the Giants, right, so you
- 28:55Speaker 2: definitely got to have an ice cold dough Seqi's in
- 28:57Speaker 2: hand for that they got a website for one's gonna tell
- 28:59Speaker 2: you about as well do skis dot com.
- 29:01Speaker 3: That's right, So uh yeah, I'm looking at they have
- 29:04Speaker 3: the logger especial those seconds. They got the Amber Special,
- 29:07Speaker 3: they got a Lime and Salt, they got a zero version,
- 29:09Speaker 3: they got Mischilattas, they got Shalattas, they got everything over there,
- 29:13Speaker 3: so a whole lot they got a Yeah, a whole
- 29:16Speaker 3: lot is very good. Those You're gonna drink responsibly when
- 29:19Speaker 3: you do drink, but when you do drink, you might
- 29:21Speaker 3: want to delete a few beers. Make sure it is
- 29:23Speaker 3: a dose.
- 29:23Speaker 1: Sekies locked in on LSU Football twenty four to seven.
- 29:32Speaker 1: You're listening to off the Bench.
- 29:47Speaker 3: Musty skin Ups can must be for real snout field
- 29:56Speaker 3: not in mind. It's not my chime.
- 30:07Speaker 2: You know what this playlist kind of reminds me of
- 30:10Speaker 2: is like, well no, not for it, well no earlier
- 30:14Speaker 2: than that for me, Like, uh, I'm trying to think
- 30:18Speaker 2: which song it would have been from live that I
- 30:20Speaker 2: had on my my first burn. I think Lightning Crashes was.
- 30:24Speaker 2: It reminds me of that, Like first burn CD, this
- 30:29Speaker 2: probably was on there too. Lightning Crashes was definitely on
- 30:32Speaker 2: there by live.
- 30:33Speaker 5: I almost played Lightning Crashes earlier, but I think it's
- 30:35Speaker 5: just a little too slow.
- 30:39Speaker 3: A live song. It's pretty good. Most of these songs today,
- 30:44Speaker 3: are they considered classic rock? Are they?
- 30:46Speaker 1: Do?
- 30:46Speaker 3: They get played on classic rock station? Now? They get
- 30:48Speaker 3: played on like Eagle.
- 30:49Speaker 4: They get played on Eagle, but Eagle is not a
- 30:51Speaker 4: classic rock station.
- 30:52Speaker 3: It's not okay, Well, how about a classic rock station.
- 30:58Speaker 4: I don't maybe, I mean I feel.
- 30:59Speaker 6: Like, no, we need classic rock station.
- 31:02Speaker 5: I feel like I've seen memes of people saying like,
- 31:06Speaker 5: oh man, you know you're old when Pearl Jam's getting
- 31:09Speaker 5: played on the classic rock stations or whatever.
- 31:11Speaker 4: But yeah, but I don't know. Whenever I think rock sometimes.
- 31:17Speaker 5: Yeah, like they played Cage the Elephant the other day
- 31:19Speaker 5: when I was listening, which that's more alternative than rock.
- 31:23Speaker 4: And they like, I've tried to like ask.
- 31:27Speaker 5: For like Arctic Monkeys and stuff like that, but they're like, well,
- 31:30Speaker 5: we're not.
- 31:31Speaker 4: Like an alternative station.
- 31:33Speaker 5: So they do throw it in every once in a while,
- 31:35Speaker 5: but it's just like a straight up rock station.
- 31:37Speaker 3: I don't know, like new age music. I don't know
- 31:40Speaker 3: if I could tell the difference, like what's a like
- 31:42Speaker 3: a rock band versus an alternative rock versus. Yeah, like
- 31:46Speaker 3: what is the main differentiators between all that? Do they
- 31:50Speaker 3: still make up? I mean, I don't know.
- 31:51Speaker 5: I don't know of any like newer rock bands, like
- 31:55Speaker 5: I guess the newest that I would know and like
- 31:57Speaker 5: still listen to his Arctic Monkeys.
- 31:59Speaker 3: Yeah, I mean, I'm sure there's a ton of like
- 32:00Speaker 3: indie waters out there that are good, that have good songs. Yeah,
- 32:03Speaker 3: we've heard of listen.
- 32:07Speaker 2: Mean, rock's funny because it's like there's certain groups that
- 32:12Speaker 2: like if you like them, like it's like cheesy and
- 32:16Speaker 2: and you know, like there's a real protective overread Creed, Nickelback. Yeah,
- 32:21Speaker 2: kind of like real protective over like what you can
- 32:24Speaker 2: listen to in that genre.
- 32:26Speaker 5: It is weird like that because like I as somebody
- 32:29Speaker 5: that that's pretty much the only thing that I listened to.
- 32:32Speaker 5: I like all sorts of rock, like I like every
- 32:36Speaker 5: sub rock genre.
- 32:38Speaker 4: But people will be like elitist about it.
- 32:41Speaker 3: Yea. To your point, you have to listen to Nickelback
- 32:44Speaker 3: and Creed like Hunt Watches, Lift Golf, right, not me,
- 32:49Speaker 3: are you?
- 32:50Speaker 6: I love Nickelback, Man.
- 32:51Speaker 7: Loud and Proud, Although to your point, I don't like
- 32:54Speaker 7: if you ask me to classify where Nickelback like sits,
- 32:58Speaker 7: I couldn't really rock, yeah, divorced rock.
- 33:03Speaker 6: But I mean would you call it? Would you call
- 33:06Speaker 6: it grunge? It's not right? But like what is it.
- 33:13Speaker 3: Started? Like? I don't know, I can't really tell the
- 33:14Speaker 3: difference between one rock from the other. All right.
- 33:18Speaker 2: If we took your Spotify most played artists, not because
- 33:21Speaker 2: your kids have your phone, your most played artist would
- 33:25Speaker 2: be uh sorry that.
- 33:34Speaker 6: I was like, wait, we got we got five minutes.
- 33:39Speaker 3: My most recent one probably okay, all.
- 33:43Speaker 4: Right, sorry, I don't know why that maybe laugh, I.
- 33:47Speaker 2: Got of been in three concerts.
- 33:52Speaker 3: I don't have a lot of time to just listen
- 33:54Speaker 3: to music a lot right now without my family, Like,
- 33:56Speaker 3: so it's usually what I'm kids, okay, all good A Landra.
- 34:01Speaker 5: I don't know what it'd be right now, but it's
- 34:03Speaker 5: usually like Stone Temple Pilots is always my number one.
- 34:07Speaker 5: It's like Stone Temple Pilots, no doubt. Amy Winehouse are
- 34:09Speaker 5: always like in my top five right now, in my yeah.
- 34:14Speaker 3: No doubt. Roll mine's like Usher and John Mayer.
- 34:20Speaker 2: If I'm in the kitchen doing the dishes, an Usher
- 34:23Speaker 2: song is probably gonna come on, it's probably gonna happen
- 34:25Speaker 2: because you get to pick the song if you're doing
- 34:27Speaker 2: the dishes.
- 34:28Speaker 3: You know. I was driving my son. It was after
- 34:31Speaker 3: his birthday party is and like his six or seven
- 34:33Speaker 3: buddies like around. I think we were going to I
- 34:36Speaker 3: was taking from what like the party to a football game. Yeah,
- 34:39Speaker 3: and we're driving, you know, fourth grade. So I'm like
- 34:41Speaker 3: still think my kids like a little like and they're
- 34:43Speaker 3: all like, play Swag Surfing. I'm like, like, what Swags
- 34:49Speaker 3: did not play it? And they knew all the words,
- 34:51Speaker 3: and I'm like, what's happening there?
- 34:55Speaker 5: Okay, So right now in my heavy rotation playlist, I
- 34:59Speaker 5: have so what I'm like heavily listened to right now,
- 35:03Speaker 5: you know, like Apple makes these for you. I have
- 35:06Speaker 5: Bad Bunny, Amy Winehouse, a C d C, Led Zeppelin,
- 35:11Speaker 5: and Lenny Kravitz.
- 35:12Speaker 4: Oh, Lenny krast that's in my heavy rotation right now.
- 35:15Speaker 11: He use this like Lenny Kravits is a tea bob.
- 35:18Speaker 11: I'm fine with him, Okay. I like that it was
- 35:21Speaker 11: about this weird crush on him. But he did have
- 35:24Speaker 11: a good theory that like he doesn't actually age.
- 35:26Speaker 3: He's a vampire for sure.
- 35:28Speaker 2: So he's Mormon man, might be might be uh Nickelback.
- 35:36Speaker 6: Uh, they could be third.
- 35:39Speaker 8: Actually, if I win looked, it'd probably be one and two,
- 35:44Speaker 8: no particular order would either be Luke Coombs.
- 35:46Speaker 3: Or Eric Church.
- 35:47Speaker 7: I forgot your Luke hom Yeah, and it would be
- 35:50Speaker 7: it'd be Luke Combs, Eric Church one and two. I
- 35:52Speaker 7: don't really know which one would be at the top,
- 35:54Speaker 7: but then nickel Back be right behind him.
- 35:56Speaker 3: Eric Church is uh Springsteen. Okay, Yeah, I think you
- 36:00Speaker 3: can probably take most people, most people spotify from Lennyson.
- 36:03Speaker 3: It'll be about that's fair.
- 36:07Speaker 12: Yeah, he was gonna come with like a a little bit.
- 36:12Speaker 12: He's like, oh that's actually factual. Yeah, it comes.
- 36:19Speaker 3: They go back.
- 36:23Speaker 2: Uh Usher and John Mary being Jake's favorite makes a
- 36:27Speaker 2: lot of sense with all them kids, I should have
- 36:31Speaker 2: got some hits.
- 36:32Speaker 3: Hits.
- 36:34Speaker 2: I would say Blues is like my favorite, though R

- 43:04Speaker 2: it's clear and obvious that this happened in front of them,
- 43:06Speaker 2: and they won't even acknowledge it. Troy acknowledges it every time.
