- 0:13Speaker 1: Hello you guys, Welcome back to another episode of the
- 0:16Speaker 1: Hawkerel Energy Podcast. I'm your host, Kayleie, and this is
- 0:19Speaker 1: your weekly reminder that it's a new day, a new week,
- 0:22Speaker 1: a new mindset, and another day for you to become
- 0:25Speaker 1: the Hawkerel Energy you want to attract. Hello you guys,
- 0:29Speaker 1: Happy Wednesday, Welcome back to another episode. I have been
- 0:33Speaker 1: feeling a little sick again, which I'm like, I don't
- 0:36Speaker 1: know how I've been getting sick so many times already
- 0:39Speaker 1: this year. I usually am pretty good, but for some reason,
- 0:42Speaker 1: I think the weather has just been such a hit
- 0:45Speaker 1: and miss here in Ottawa that I truly feel like
- 0:48Speaker 1: that really plays a huge impact in my state of
- 0:52Speaker 1: being sick. So anyways, I'm feeling a bit better today.
- 0:55Speaker 1: But the past two days, from like Sunday to today
- 1:00Speaker 1: just Tuesday, I have just not been feeling the greatest.
- 1:04Speaker 1: But as I said, I'm feeling a little bit better today.
- 1:07Speaker 1: I forced myself to sleep in this morning, take my
- 1:10Speaker 1: vitamin see, you know, do all the things you should resting.
- 1:14Speaker 1: I strictly just walked outside today for my movement. So yeah,
- 1:19Speaker 1: just trying to really listen to my body. And I
- 1:20Speaker 1: always feel like resting is the key. Also with before
- 1:24Speaker 1: the holidays, I also like just want to make sure
- 1:26Speaker 1: my health is at the perfect state going into a
- 1:30Speaker 1: lot of family time and you know, holiday craziness with
- 1:35Speaker 1: just seeing different families and all that. So I'm just
- 1:38Speaker 1: wanting to really rest up this week and just mentally
- 1:41Speaker 1: prepare myself for the fun times ahead. But speaking about
- 1:45Speaker 1: the holidays, I did want to briefly touch on a
- 1:48Speaker 1: topic that I meant to talk about in a few
- 1:50Speaker 1: episodes ago when we were talking about the holiday season.
- 1:53Speaker 1: But I know the holidays can be a time for
- 1:56Speaker 1: people that you know, maybe really strict on the for
- 2:00Speaker 1: when it comes to their healthy eating or their healthy
- 2:04Speaker 1: routine anything like that. You know, obviously working out is
- 2:08Speaker 1: definitely going to be lacking during the holiday season, obviously
- 2:11Speaker 1: eating a lot more food than you typically do, eating
- 2:14Speaker 1: foods that you don't typically eat. All that. I know,
- 2:17Speaker 1: there's a lot of people that you know have at
- 2:20Speaker 1: least been there where they've struggled with, you know, eating
- 2:24Speaker 1: higher calorie foods or anything like that. And I used
- 2:28Speaker 1: to be like that. That is something that I've made
- 2:30Speaker 1: very clear that my past self. I definitely struggled with
- 2:35Speaker 1: indulging and allowing myself to treat myself the odd time
- 2:39Speaker 1: because I thought it was going to ruin my progress
- 2:41Speaker 1: or I just felt almost guilty for doing that. And
- 2:44Speaker 1: I think after you know, five years of really repairing that,
- 2:49Speaker 1: you know, type of circumstance where I just felt that
- 2:52Speaker 1: guilt of eating all that food, I can finally say
- 2:56Speaker 1: that I really do enjoy and indulge on those special
- 3:00Speaker 1: moments with family, because I think the one thing that
- 3:02Speaker 1: you need to focus your mindset on is the enjoyment,
- 3:07Speaker 1: not perfection.
- 3:08Speaker 2: So what I mean by that is like reframe the.
- 3:09Speaker 1: Holidays as a way of that You're allowed to have
- 3:13Speaker 1: that special time to indulge and have those special meals
- 3:18Speaker 1: during that special time of the year, because let's face it,
- 3:21Speaker 1: holidays are usually only twice a year, right, well, maybe
- 3:24Speaker 1: three times a year Easter, Thanksgiving, and Christmas, And so
- 3:28Speaker 1: for me, like that's a time where it's like, Okay,
- 3:31Speaker 1: I can indulge. I can enjoy this special treat to
- 3:34Speaker 1: myself by enjoying those little things like mashed potatoes and garlic,
- 3:39Speaker 1: bread and stuffing. And I fully indulge every time, And yeah,
- 3:43Speaker 1: I just kind of shift my mindset and say, hey,
- 3:45Speaker 1: this is only three times a year, like treat yourself,
- 3:48Speaker 1: enjoy it. I also find the best way to also
- 3:52Speaker 1: like feel okay with eating a lot of food and
- 3:55Speaker 1: all that is still finding ways to move your body.
- 3:58Speaker 1: So going on those walks or you know, doing a
- 4:01Speaker 1: ten minute ab burner or something like that in the morning,
- 4:03Speaker 1: Like sometimes I love to do that just so in
- 4:05Speaker 1: my head it's like, Okay, at least I got some
- 4:07Speaker 1: movement in. I feel good. I'm getting my body moving
- 4:10Speaker 1: all that. Like sometimes people need that physical activity to
- 4:14Speaker 1: just feel good going into the day. I know that's
- 4:16Speaker 1: something that I really strive by. And hey, if I
- 4:20Speaker 1: don't work out for a week, I don't work out
- 4:21Speaker 1: for a week, I'm not going to be hard on myself.
- 4:23Speaker 1: But if I can do little things like walks or
- 4:26Speaker 1: you know, doing ten minute workouts at home or just dancing,
- 4:30Speaker 1: like just finding little ways to move your body. And
- 4:32Speaker 1: I think also at the end of the day, like
- 4:33Speaker 1: let's just focus on the bigger picture, because at the
- 4:35Speaker 1: end of the day, holidays are just a small part
- 4:37Speaker 1: of the year, and we don't want to let one
- 4:39Speaker 1: meal determine our relationship with food or one meal to
- 4:43Speaker 1: just think that it's going to ruin your entire progress
- 4:45Speaker 1: that you've worked on for so long, for the entire year,
- 4:47Speaker 1: that one meal is not going.
- 4:49Speaker 2: To change the way you look.
- 4:50Speaker 1: I'm going to be fully transparent, So please don't be
- 4:52Speaker 1: hard on yourself.
- 4:53Speaker 2: This holiday season.
- 4:55Speaker 1: Enjoy the stuffing, enjoy the turkey, enjoy the family time
- 4:59Speaker 1: in indulge And yeah, I just wanted to make that
- 5:02Speaker 1: reminder to you guys, because I know sometimes people have
- 5:05Speaker 1: a hard time with indulging during the holiday seasons. But
- 5:09Speaker 1: I know I'm going to be eating so much food.
- 5:12Speaker 1: I'm going to have some cinnamon buns. Zach and I
- 5:14Speaker 1: are doing a nice little brunch here since it's like
- 5:17Speaker 1: our first year married during the holidays. His mom was like,
- 5:21Speaker 1: I don't expect you to come here on Christmas morning,
- 5:23Speaker 1: like do stuff with your wife, start new traditions all that,
- 5:26Speaker 1: which was like so crazy to even say that, because like,
- 5:31Speaker 1: to even think about like spending time with my family
- 5:33Speaker 1: in the morning, I'm like, Wow, it's just weird that
- 5:35Speaker 1: now we're going to be starting nutritions now that we're married,
- 5:38Speaker 1: and you know, eventually we'll have a kid and have
- 5:40Speaker 1: our own traditions with our kid in the morning all that.
- 5:42Speaker 2: So it's just crazy that we're at that phase in
- 5:44Speaker 2: our life.
- 5:45Speaker 1: But of course we're going to try and loop our
- 5:47Speaker 1: parents in to our Christmas Morning somehow. But yeah, so
- 5:51Speaker 1: this is actually probably going to be also the final
- 5:53Speaker 1: episode since Christmas is next week, which is so crazy.
- 5:57Speaker 1: So I just wanted to make that little reminder to
- 5:59Speaker 1: you guys that I really enjoy the holiday season. Indulge,
- 6:03Speaker 1: have the best time with family and friends, and Merry
- 6:07Speaker 1: Christmas to you guys. I love you guys all so much.
- 6:09Speaker 1: I cannot believe we are about to head into twenty
- 6:11Speaker 1: twenty five so soon and get into January. But I'm
- 6:14Speaker 1: really hoping you guys have the best holiday season. Before
- 6:17Speaker 1: we get into today's episode, I want to make sure
- 6:19Speaker 1: that you guys listen to the previous episode. If you
- 6:21Speaker 1: haven't done so, I highly recommend doing that before this episode,
- 6:24Speaker 1: just because it's going to make a bit more sense
- 6:26Speaker 1: because we're going to be talking about how we're going
- 6:29Speaker 1: to achieve the goals that we set for twenty twenty five,
- 6:33Speaker 1: So what are ways that we can actually make these
- 6:35Speaker 1: goals achievable and realistic. So, if you haven't listened to
- 6:39Speaker 1: the previous episode, I highly recommend doing so. I also
- 6:42Speaker 1: wanted to bring into this podcast episode a little giveaway
- 6:45Speaker 1: because since I was sick, I did miss one day
- 6:48Speaker 1: of log miss and I'm like, you know what, I
- 6:50Speaker 1: would love to get back to my podcast community. So
- 6:52Speaker 1: I am going to be doing a gift card here.
- 6:55Speaker 1: So I'm going to be giving away one hundred dollars
- 6:56Speaker 1: Amazon gift card. The way it works is that if
- 6:59Speaker 1: you're listening to today's episode, I would love to have
- 7:02Speaker 1: you post it on your story and tag me at
- 7:05Speaker 1: Kaylie Stewart as well as at the Hawkrell Energy Podcast.
- 7:08Speaker 1: I will have all my tags and social media handles
- 7:12Speaker 1: in the description of this podcast episode. But that is
- 7:14Speaker 1: it very simple. I just want to see that you're
- 7:17Speaker 1: listening to today's episode and that's an automatic entry into
- 7:20Speaker 1: the giveaway.
- 7:21Speaker 2: I've done this in the past.
- 7:22Speaker 1: I think we did it last Christmas actually, and I
- 7:24Speaker 1: think I gave away four different gift cards.
- 7:26Speaker 2: So this year it's just one. But I really wanted to.
- 7:28Speaker 1: Give back to my podcast girls because I love you
- 7:30Speaker 1: guys all so much and I really wanted to try
- 7:32Speaker 1: and find a way to include you guys in this giveaway.
- 7:34Speaker 1: So me being sick was the answers. So that's what
- 7:37Speaker 1: we're going to be doing. So good luck, hunt you
- 7:39Speaker 1: all our Amazon gift card. Post on your story of
- 7:42Speaker 1: you listening to today's episode and make sure to tag
- 7:45Speaker 1: me along with at the Hawkerel Energy Podcast Instagram page
- 7:49Speaker 1: and make sure you're following us both as well. Okay,
- 7:51Speaker 1: so let's get into today's episode, which is how we're
- 7:54Speaker 1: actually going to achieve our goals for twenty twenty five.
- 7:58Speaker 1: I think the best way to map out your goals
- 8:02Speaker 1: so when you set your goals and you created your
- 8:04Speaker 1: vision board and all that, obviously there's probably a main
- 8:08Speaker 1: goal for each of those categories. So we talked about
- 8:10Speaker 1: in the previous episode the three different categories which is health, business,
- 8:14Speaker 1: and personal goals. So I would assume that you have
- 8:17Speaker 1: a top goal for each of those categories, and what
- 8:21Speaker 1: you're going to do is you're going to make each
- 8:22Speaker 1: of them a priority, and we're going to figure out
- 8:24Speaker 1: how to prioritize each goal. So what one's most important
- 8:28Speaker 1: versus what one's the least important. The reason why I
- 8:31Speaker 1: say that is because we almost want to develop a
- 8:33Speaker 1: plan and we want to break them down. So how
- 8:35Speaker 1: are we going to achieve those goals from the most
- 8:38Speaker 1: important to the least important. So, for an example, one
- 8:41Speaker 1: of the goals that I talked about in the previous
- 8:42Speaker 1: episode was starting my own brand, and I talk to
- 8:45Speaker 1: you guys about how I'm going to achieve that by
- 8:47Speaker 1: setting time aside for once a week, I'm going to
- 8:50Speaker 1: focus on doing things related to the brand. So that's
- 8:53Speaker 1: a goal for me in twenty twenty five is to
- 8:55Speaker 1: set time aside by dedicating a day a week by
- 8:58Speaker 1: getting that done. Another example from something I achieved in
- 9:01Speaker 1: twenty twenty four is my wedding. I needed to do
- 9:06Speaker 1: an entire plan for my wedding when it came to
- 9:09Speaker 1: finding wedding planners, finding a venue, making sure financially we
- 9:13Speaker 1: can break down the cost and make sure that we
- 9:15Speaker 1: can afford what we're wanting to pay.
- 9:18Speaker 2: There's a huge plan that you have to develop in
- 9:21Speaker 2: order to plan a wedding.
- 9:22Speaker 1: So one big step I would say for taking the
- 9:25Speaker 1: leap of getting married in a different country specifically too,
- 9:28Speaker 1: was booking a trip to Italy to go visit venues.
- 9:31Speaker 1: So that was a big step to achieving the main goal, right,
- 9:35Speaker 1: So going to Italy visiting venues. Also, like hiring a
- 9:39Speaker 1: wedding planner is obviously extremely stressful as well, because you
- 9:42Speaker 1: want to make sure that the person you're hiring you're
- 9:43Speaker 1: trusting because obviously they're the one finding the vendors. They're
- 9:47Speaker 1: the one that speak the language, and they're able to
- 9:49Speaker 1: help with the barrier of you know, speaking to these
- 9:52Speaker 1: Italian vendors and all that. So the main overall goal
- 9:56Speaker 1: was to have my dream wedding, and then all those
- 9:58Speaker 1: little tasks that had to get to that goal was
- 10:02Speaker 1: those things that I just talked about, So going to
- 10:04Speaker 1: visit venues, finding a wedding planner, doing a financial breakdown
- 10:07Speaker 1: of costs, et cetera. And so by doing all those
- 10:10Speaker 1: little things, it brought me to achieve my overall end goal,
- 10:14Speaker 1: which was having my dream wedding, which I obviously had
- 10:17Speaker 1: my dream wedding in Italy. So that's just an example
- 10:20Speaker 1: of how to kind of break down the big goal
- 10:23Speaker 1: and how we're going to achieve it by doing those
- 10:25Speaker 1: little tasks. Another great idea is doing like a schedule
- 10:29Speaker 1: for these goals. So maybe each month you have monthly
- 10:32Speaker 1: goals and how you're going to achieve this within the year, right,
- 10:35Speaker 1: So each month, you could have a little reminder or
- 10:37Speaker 1: something in your schedule on how you're going to achieve
- 10:40Speaker 1: this one task to get to that big goal. I
- 10:43Speaker 1: think another reason why I think vision boards are so
- 10:45Speaker 1: important is because I am a visual person. So when
- 10:49Speaker 1: I see something visually, that's what helps me figure out
- 10:52Speaker 1: how I'm going to achieve the goals for myself. So
- 10:55Speaker 1: not only are we, you know, prioritizing tasks to get
- 10:59Speaker 1: to the main goal. And I think it's important to
- 11:01Speaker 1: visualize your goals. So how do you see yourself actually
- 11:03Speaker 1: attaining your goals? What does the success look like? Visualize
- 11:06Speaker 1: it in your head. And that's why I always say,
- 11:08Speaker 1: go on Pinterest, create a vision board, find images that
- 11:13Speaker 1: really resonate to you about that end goal or about
- 11:16Speaker 1: that goal specifically that you want to achieve in twenty
- 11:19Speaker 1: twenty five. So this is kind of a form of
- 11:21Speaker 1: manifestation obviously, because we're visualizing these goals for yourself. But
- 11:25Speaker 1: I'm telling you right now, visualizing is so key for
- 11:28Speaker 1: actually achieving goals. If you're not visualizing something, it's definitely
- 11:31Speaker 1: going to be hard to achieve it if you can't
- 11:33Speaker 1: see the vision, you know what I mean. One big
- 11:35Speaker 1: thing I think as well is having the motivation. You
- 11:39Speaker 1: definitely need to have motivation to achieve any kind of
- 11:43Speaker 1: goal in life. If you don't motivate yourself to achieve anything,
- 11:48Speaker 1: you're not going to see the success. You need to
- 11:51Speaker 1: put that in your head. You can do anything you
- 11:53Speaker 1: set your mind to. One thing I always talk about
- 11:55Speaker 1: in this podcast is positive affirmations. I talk to myself
- 12:00Speaker 1: all the freaking time. I talk to myself in the mirror,
- 12:02Speaker 1: I talk to myself in my kitchen. Sometimes that's like,
- 12:05Speaker 1: who are you talking to You're talking to me, You're
- 12:06Speaker 1: talking to the dog. No, I'm talking to myself. If
- 12:08Speaker 1: I'm trying to get myself out of a negative headspace
- 12:10Speaker 1: where I'm trying to motivate myself to go to the gym,
- 12:13Speaker 1: get out of the house, you know, reach any goals,
- 12:15Speaker 1: et cetera. I always talk to myself, And I know
- 12:18Speaker 1: that may sound weird, but I'm telling you right now
- 12:20Speaker 1: it truly does work.
- 12:23Speaker 2: It's one of my biggest tips when it comes to motivation.
- 12:24Speaker 1: I feel like, if you tell yourself that you're going
- 12:27Speaker 1: to achieve this, it's going to happen. For example, I
- 12:30Speaker 1: just bought myself a range Rover. I told myself five
- 12:33Speaker 1: years ago that I'm going to have a range Rover
- 12:35Speaker 1: one day. I know it's going to happen. I'm going
- 12:37Speaker 1: to put that in my mind and I know that
- 12:39Speaker 1: hard work is going to pay off in the end.
- 12:41Speaker 1: And look at me now, I was able to afford
- 12:43Speaker 1: to buy myself a range Rover. Another thing is is
- 12:45Speaker 1: that I always wanted to be an influencer. I've always
- 12:48Speaker 1: just loved the career because I always felt like it
- 12:50Speaker 1: was something that was meant for me. And so what
- 12:52Speaker 1: did I do. I told myself that this is what
- 12:54Speaker 1: I'm going to do. And so where the motivation came
- 12:57Speaker 1: from wanting to be an influencer is I knew I
- 13:00Speaker 1: had to do these steps to get to the end goal,
- 13:03Speaker 1: which was posting consistently not caring what people think. The
- 13:07Speaker 1: motivation was there because I constantly reminded myself that in
- 13:11Speaker 1: order to do these things, I'm going to achieve the
- 13:14Speaker 1: end goal. I'm going to work a lot more in
- 13:17Speaker 1: order to achieve me getting a range Rover. Like that's
- 13:20Speaker 1: the key thing is just push yourself, be your own motivator.
- 13:24Speaker 1: Set reminders in your phone. If you're the kind of
- 13:26Speaker 1: person that needs that reminder. Another huge motivator is having
- 13:30Speaker 1: your vision board in areas that you can constantly see,
- 13:32Speaker 1: so your laptop screen, your phone screen. That's why I
- 13:34Speaker 1: always say do your vision boards on Canva because I
- 13:37Speaker 1: feel like looking at it visually.
- 13:39Speaker 2: All the time, it reminds me.
- 13:41Speaker 1: It pushes me to know what are my end goals
- 13:44Speaker 1: for the year. Now.
- 13:46Speaker 2: With motivation, of course, you got to push yourself. You
- 13:49Speaker 2: got to work hard, but at.
- 13:50Speaker 1: The same time you need to be able to allow
- 13:52Speaker 1: yourself to relax and have those breaks. Think the one
- 13:55Speaker 1: thing that people struggle with is burnouts, So when they
- 13:58Speaker 1: work too hard and then and they struggle with a
- 14:01Speaker 1: burnout and they don't know how to recover from that burnout.
- 14:04Speaker 1: And I think one thing for me that works is
- 14:06Speaker 1: taking a step back, rewarding myself by you know, getting
- 14:09Speaker 1: out of the house, going to get a coffee, almost
- 14:11Speaker 1: take a day to yourself to just really slow down,
- 14:14Speaker 1: and then you get back into it and you have
- 14:16Speaker 1: to remember the little things that help you out. Even
- 14:19Speaker 1: for me, I feel like in November I was kind
- 14:20Speaker 1: of in a weird spot because I felt like I
- 14:23Speaker 1: was kind of out a routine. I wasn't in any
- 14:25Speaker 1: type of consistent routine. There was just something going on.
- 14:28Speaker 1: So then I told myself, okay, positive self talk. I
- 14:31Speaker 1: told myself that I'm going to get back into my
- 14:33Speaker 1: early morning grind by booking those early morning workout classes.
- 14:37Speaker 1: I know, when I book a workout class, it pushes
- 14:38Speaker 1: me out of bed, it pushes me to get to
- 14:40Speaker 1: that class. I get home, I'm more productive throughout the day.
- 14:43Speaker 1: It's just something that works for me. So by pushing
- 14:46Speaker 1: myself to do that, I've gotten back into this consistent routine,
- 14:49Speaker 1: and I feel like everything has just changed. I feel
- 14:51Speaker 1: like I'm more productive throughout the day. I have more energy,
- 14:53Speaker 1: I'm more motivated to get things done. So sometimes it's
- 14:56Speaker 1: okay to step back, relax, maybe do a little reset
- 14:59Speaker 1: and then and you can get back into the swing
- 15:01Speaker 1: of things the following day. Another big thing when it
- 15:03Speaker 1: comes to setting goals is, of course we all see
- 15:07Speaker 1: the vision, you know, we find ways how we're going
- 15:10Speaker 1: to execute that goal all that, but sometimes there's obviously
- 15:13Speaker 1: some obstacles that we need to identify. So what are
- 15:16Speaker 1: things that are going to prevent me from achieving this goal?
- 15:19Speaker 1: I think it's important to also write down the challenges
- 15:21Speaker 1: or fears that you could encounter for the specific goal,
- 15:25Speaker 1: or something that's going to prevent you from achieving your
- 15:28Speaker 1: end goal, but at the same time, write down how
- 15:31Speaker 1: you're going to overcome them. So what are you going
- 15:33Speaker 1: to do to still be able to achieve your goal.
- 15:36Speaker 1: Another main thing when it comes to achieving your goals
- 15:38Speaker 1: is being realistic. And of course we can definitely set
- 15:43Speaker 1: high standards for certain goals, and trust me, these goals
- 15:46Speaker 1: can definitely be achievable, but I think it's important to
- 15:50Speaker 1: really make them as realistic as possible. Because, for an example,
- 15:55Speaker 1: I actually had this conversation with my pilates instructor and
- 15:57Speaker 1: we were having this conversation about how we want our
- 16:00Speaker 1: future home to look like, like, what is something that
- 16:03Speaker 1: we visualize for our future home. So one thing for
- 16:05Speaker 1: me that I've always visualized is, you know, being in
- 16:08Speaker 1: a private property, being a little far away from the city,
- 16:11Speaker 1: having a lot of privacy. You know, I'd love to
- 16:15Speaker 1: have my dream kitchen, bedrooms for my kids, all that,
- 16:18Speaker 1: And so when we were talking about that, we were
- 16:20Speaker 1: talking about how, you know, following certain people like influencers.
- 16:25Speaker 1: It's important to like follow people that you think is
- 16:27Speaker 1: realistic to the life that you could achieve yourself, like,
- 16:30Speaker 1: for an example, following Kylie Jenner or Kendall Jenner, Like,
- 16:33Speaker 1: of course they have beautiful homes, but I know the
- 16:37Speaker 1: reality is that I'm not going to have a house
- 16:40Speaker 1: like that, Like that to me seems extremely unrealistic. But
- 16:44Speaker 1: following other influencers or other business owners with a really
- 16:47Speaker 1: beautiful home and you know, is something that I think
- 16:51Speaker 1: is very realistic for me to achieve. So create a
- 16:54Speaker 1: standard for yourself. Create something that is very realistic. That way,
- 16:58Speaker 1: you can develop a plan and you can write out
- 17:01Speaker 1: the steps on how you're going to achieve this goal.
- 17:03Speaker 1: And I just feel like, you know, you can write
- 17:05Speaker 1: a goal down, but then when you start tracking the
- 17:08Speaker 1: progress of how you're going to get to this unrealistic goal,
- 17:10Speaker 1: you're going to start to realize how unrealistic it is
- 17:13Speaker 1: for you to, you know, have a Kylie jennerhouse for
- 17:16Speaker 1: an example. I mean, hey, if you think you can
- 17:18Speaker 1: do it, do it. I just think when goals are
- 17:21Speaker 1: kind of unrealistic, it almost sets yourself up for disappointment
- 17:24Speaker 1: because then you see, you know, things that you never
- 17:27Speaker 1: achieved because you went a little too unrealistic with that goal.
- 17:32Speaker 1: So making it more realistic is obviously more achievable. It
- 17:35Speaker 1: creates more motivation, it pushes you to keep going and
- 17:37Speaker 1: achieve other things, and obviously it creates that exciting mood
- 17:43Speaker 1: of just being able to achieve that for yourself and
- 17:45Speaker 1: that proud moment that you achieve that goal for yourself.
- 17:48Speaker 1: So I think making it realistic is definitely key. Another
- 17:51Speaker 1: thing is tracking your progress, so putting a timeframe on
- 17:56Speaker 1: your goal to track over the course of time how
- 17:58Speaker 1: much progress you made to work or it's achieving this goal.
- 18:01Speaker 1: I think another thing is just always doing like little
- 18:03Speaker 1: check ins every two months of your vision board. It's like, okay,
- 18:07Speaker 1: it almost reminds you of what you actually decided to
- 18:10Speaker 1: set your mind to for the new year. So I know,
- 18:12Speaker 1: for me, sometimes you know, it's a really busy few months,
- 18:16Speaker 1: I almost forget, Oh, like, what were my goals from
- 18:19Speaker 1: twenty twenty four. I almost have to go back and
- 18:20Speaker 1: just double check, Okay, yes, this is what I wanted
- 18:23Speaker 1: to do. Okay, I need to get back into that
- 18:24Speaker 1: headspace of actually doing those steps to achieve that goal.
- 18:27Speaker 2: So making sure you're tracking your progress, staying.
- 18:29Speaker 1: On top of achieving this goal by continuously motivating yourself
- 18:33Speaker 1: all that is super key. This could also be seen
- 18:36Speaker 1: as almost like reflecting and maybe making some adjustment. So
- 18:39Speaker 1: maybe there's been some changes and you want to like
- 18:43Speaker 1: maybe adjust something for your monthly task to achieve that
- 18:47Speaker 1: end goal. So reflecting on them, adjusting them truly does
- 18:51Speaker 1: help make your goals more achievable. Now I did briefly
- 18:54Speaker 1: touch about this in a previous episode, but following positive
- 18:57Speaker 1: role models is really gonna help inspire you to achieve
- 19:00Speaker 1: your goals or even inspire you to create goals that
- 19:03Speaker 1: you want to set for the New Years. So I
- 19:06Speaker 1: love following people for different reasons. So for fashion, I
- 19:09Speaker 1: love to follow Hailey Bieber. She definitely gives me a
- 19:12Speaker 1: lot of motivation for just the clean girl aesthetic and
- 19:16Speaker 1: her outfits and her makeup and her skincare, And I
- 19:19Speaker 1: truly think it's very achievable for me to know just
- 19:23Speaker 1: use those skincare products and the makeup products that she uses.
- 19:26Speaker 1: And with her fashion, I always love to find dupes
- 19:29Speaker 1: of things that are a bit more affordable. So if
- 19:31Speaker 1: she's wearing a nice pair of dark washed jeans with
- 19:33Speaker 1: a really nice sweater, I'll always try and find like
- 19:35Speaker 1: a cheap pair of jeans and a nice sweater that
- 19:37Speaker 1: goes with that outfit. I also always love to recreate
- 19:40Speaker 1: outfits from Pinterest. Again, Pinterest is a great way to
- 19:43Speaker 1: see that for inspiration whenever it comes to outfits, makeup,
- 19:48Speaker 1: how you want your home to look like, et cetera.
- 19:50Speaker 1: This one is very new to me, but I really
- 19:52Speaker 1: love following Alex Cooper. If you guys don't know who
- 19:54Speaker 1: Alex Cooper is, she is a podcast host for Call
- 19:57Speaker 1: Her Daddy.
- 19:58Speaker 2: I will be fully honest.
- 19:59Speaker 1: I I never really listened to the Call Her Daddy podcast,
- 20:03Speaker 1: but Alex Cooper truly does inspire me because she's a
- 20:07Speaker 1: very successful female podcast host. And for me, of course,
- 20:11Speaker 1: I love my podcast, I love my community, I love
- 20:14Speaker 1: just getting on the mic and talking, and so that
- 20:17Speaker 1: to me is something that's extremely inspirational because I want
- 20:20Speaker 1: to be a girl boss, I want to be successful
- 20:22Speaker 1: with my podcast, and so following someone like that really
- 20:25Speaker 1: does motivate me and inspire me to never give up
- 20:28Speaker 1: on my dreams when it comes to building my brand,
- 20:31Speaker 1: building my podcast, anything like that. So it's always important
- 20:35Speaker 1: to have those role models in your life and continuing
- 20:38Speaker 1: to follow people like that so that they continue to
- 20:41Speaker 1: motivate you and inspire you. The last thing I'll chat
- 20:43Speaker 1: about when it comes to achieving these goals is tools.
- 20:47Speaker 1: So what I mean by tools is that there's things
- 20:49Speaker 1: like journaling. So I talk about doing journaling in the
- 20:52Speaker 1: morning all the time. You guys know how much I
- 20:56Speaker 1: believe in journaling, writing down things that you're grateful for,
- 21:00Speaker 1: manifesting those goals, talking about positive affirmations, all that. One
- 21:04Speaker 1: thing that I love to do in my journal is
- 21:05Speaker 1: talk about the present tense. And what I mean by
- 21:07Speaker 1: that is, for an example, I am happy that I
- 21:10Speaker 1: am a successful podcast host. You talking in that present
- 21:13Speaker 1: tense again is a key thing for motivation. It makes
- 21:17Speaker 1: you feel like you've already achieved that goal for yourself.
- 21:20Speaker 2: And that's why I always talk about positive self talk.
- 21:23Speaker 1: So writing in present tents is going to be another
- 21:26Speaker 1: thing that's truly going to motivate you and just.
- 21:30Speaker 2: Yeah, really push you to achieve those goals. Another thing
- 21:33Speaker 2: is a planner.
- 21:34Speaker 1: I truly find a planner is the best way to
- 21:36Speaker 1: allow me to stay on top of things, create a
- 21:39Speaker 1: schedule for myself. You know, my weekly task, my daily task,
- 21:44Speaker 1: all that It just kind of keeps me more organized
- 21:46Speaker 1: when I have this all in front of me, And
- 21:49Speaker 1: I personally love using a hard copy planner. Like I'm
- 21:53Speaker 1: not a electronic planner girl. I know there's a lot
- 21:57Speaker 1: of planners that people use digitally, like through their computer
- 22:00Speaker 1: or through their phone, and that just never works for
- 22:02Speaker 1: me because I think writing something down physically just helps
- 22:06Speaker 1: me remember things better. And I think everyone's different in
- 22:09Speaker 1: that sense, but I truly feel like having it in
- 22:11Speaker 1: front of me, writing everything down, it just helps me
- 22:14Speaker 1: have it in my mind and then I know everything
- 22:17Speaker 1: that I have to get done throughout the day. Another
- 22:18Speaker 1: thing is Excel and Google spreadsheets. I love to use
- 22:22Speaker 1: this whenever I need to break down budgets or just
- 22:26Speaker 1: financially figure out things. So for the wedding, obviously, we
- 22:29Speaker 1: use an entire Excel sheet to break down the cost
- 22:32Speaker 1: for every little thing you name it, cost of flights,
- 22:36Speaker 1: cost of the venue, cost of the food, cost of
- 22:39Speaker 1: my wedding dress. Putting that all in an Excel spreadsheet
- 22:43Speaker 1: was so key, and it really just helped us manage
- 22:46Speaker 1: our finances just being also realistic in terms of what
- 22:49Speaker 1: we're willing to spend on certain things. All that, so
- 22:51Speaker 1: Excel is my best friend when it comes to that. Obviously,
- 22:54Speaker 1: Pinterest when we're doing our vision boards, when we're visualizing
- 22:57Speaker 1: our goals, Pinterest is the best place to find images.
- 23:01Speaker 1: You can search anything into Pinterest of any specific goal,
- 23:04Speaker 1: any specific category. It will be there and it will
- 23:08Speaker 1: be your key for your vision boards and just for
- 23:11Speaker 1: visualizing your goals.
- 23:12Speaker 2: Another little thing that I love is sticky notes.
- 23:15Speaker 1: I love using sticky notes and I actually place it
- 23:18Speaker 1: on my laptop sometimes if I have something that I
- 23:21Speaker 1: keep continuously forgetting or I need to just have that reminder,
- 23:24Speaker 1: I find putting sticky notes on my laptop or somewhere
- 23:26Speaker 1: in my house. It just reminds me of those small
- 23:28Speaker 1: tasks to get done. And again, sometimes those reminders truly
- 23:32Speaker 1: do help. Another thing that really helps me stay organized
- 23:34Speaker 1: is a Google Calendar. I feel like everyone needs to
- 23:37Speaker 1: get on the Google Calendar if you don't. I use
- 23:40Speaker 1: this for my entire work schedule for when I'm recording
- 23:43Speaker 1: the podcast, editing the podcast, my YouTube, my tiktoks, my ads.
- 23:48Speaker 1: So I use this with my manager. I use this
- 23:51Speaker 1: with my sister to find workdays that we have to
- 23:53Speaker 1: work together. Another platform I use is notion. My sister
- 23:58Speaker 1: actually introduced this to me a few months ago, and again,
- 24:01Speaker 1: it's just something to stay on top of. It's kind
- 24:03Speaker 1: of like a digital planner, I guess in a way,
- 24:04Speaker 1: but I guess I like to have both formats. I
- 24:07Speaker 1: like to have the physical copy and then I also
- 24:09Speaker 1: like to have the digital format. But it's just good
- 24:12Speaker 1: to have that calendar and being able to manage everything
- 24:15Speaker 1: because obviously there's external things that aren't related to work
- 24:18Speaker 1: that you need to also prioritize. So having a calendar
- 24:22Speaker 1: and just being able to stay on top of your
- 24:24Speaker 1: appointments and all that in one spot is.
- 24:27Speaker 2: Really really key.
- 24:28Speaker 1: So those are just some tools that personally help me
- 24:30Speaker 1: out with organization and just overall trying to achieve my
- 24:35Speaker 1: end goals for the year.
- 24:37Speaker 2: So I hope you guys enjoyed this episode.
- 24:39Speaker 1: I do think these tools and these things that I
- 24:42Speaker 1: talked about for your twenty twenty five vision board and
- 24:46Speaker 1: just goal setting and how you're going to achieve them
- 24:48Speaker 1: and all that is truly extremely helpful. So I hope
- 24:51Speaker 1: you guys enjoyed this episode. But I love you guys
- 24:54Speaker 1: also much Marry Christmas. I will not be posting another
- 24:58Speaker 1: episode realistically.
- 25:00Speaker 2: Until the new year.
- 25:01Speaker 1: So I hope you guys have the most amazing holiday season,
- 25:05Speaker 1: the most amazing new Year. I cannot believe I'm ending
- 25:09Speaker 1: another year with such an amazing community. I am so
- 25:13Speaker 1: beyond grateful for each and every single one of you.
- 25:16Speaker 1: I would not be here without you, guys, and I'm
- 25:18Speaker 1: so excited to see what twenty twenty five has in
- 25:20Speaker 1: store for us. A lot of fun episodes, a lot
- 25:24Speaker 1: of changes that I will not say it's going to
- 25:28Speaker 1: be a surprise in the new year, but a lot
- 25:30Speaker 1: of fun things coming, and I truly think you guys
- 25:32Speaker 1: are going to love all the new things coming for
- 25:35Speaker 1: the podcast.
- 25:36Speaker 2: So I love you guys.
- 25:38Speaker 1: Also much Merry Christmas, Happy New Year, and I will
- 25:41Speaker 1: see you guys in twenty twenty five.
