  Speaker 1: Queen of the Ring tournament. And surely on SmackDown this

  Speaker 1: week there would be at least one SmackDown name that

  Speaker 1: would move on into the next round. Well, I got

  Speaker 1: good news and I got bad news. What do you

  Speaker 1: want for? I'll give you the good news first. The

  Speaker 1: good news is we actually did have one SmackDown name

  Speaker 1: move on to the semi finals, and that is in

  Speaker 1: the Queen of the Ring and that is Charlotte Flair.

  Speaker 1: She will be wrestling Live Morgan next week in the

  Speaker 1: second round of the tournament. So at least they got

  Speaker 1: one right. But then we had the King of the

  Speaker 1: Ring in the main event tonight, the final four way

  Speaker 1: on the men's side, and we had jay Usso we

  Speaker 1: had La Night, We had Royce Keys, and we had

  Speaker 1: Finn Balor or shall I say Pinbalor making his SmackDown

  Speaker 1: day tonight on the show. This was kind of like

  Speaker 1: his rebirth here on a new show, and there were

  Speaker 1: two options here. You had Finn Balor, you had Royce Keys.

  Speaker 1: and tell you that that's not going to happen, but

  Speaker 1: went with the least interesting option. They went with the

  Speaker 1: least interesting winner in the main event tonight. I mean,

  Speaker 1: I would expect nothing less out of these people, but

  Speaker 1: SmackDown tonight. Jay Usso will wrestle Javon Evans. I don't

  Speaker 1: this tournament. This is what the brat, not that it

  Speaker 1: matters anymore, but this is what the bracket look like

  Speaker 1: coming into the night, so you can kind of fit

  Speaker 1: jay Usso's picture there. And this is what we're looking

  Speaker 1: at here. We have Obafemi and Dominic Mysterio on the

  Speaker 1: and Javon Evans actually had some kick ass matches together

  Speaker 1: in NXT. I could get behind that match, even though

  Speaker 1: the outcome is highly predictable. That's the only match I'm

  Speaker 1: looking at here even potentially that interests me, and the

  Speaker 1: chances of us getting that match are probably very very slim.

  Speaker 1: I don't know where we went wrong here in this tournament.

  Speaker 1: There was a lot of potential here in this King
• 4:12
  Speaker 1: of the Ring tournament. I actually like the fact that
• 4:15
  Speaker 1: Javon kind of got the unpredictable win on Monday night.

  Speaker 1: I was not a fan of dom going on to
• 4:21
  Speaker 1: the semi finals last week. Not a fan of that.

  Speaker 1: But I look at some of the name and there's
• 4:26
  Speaker 1: a lot of names that are missing from this tournament.

  Speaker 1: But I look at what we have here and I'm like,

  Speaker 1: there's just so much wasted potential to really put together

  Speaker 1: some fun matches here in this tournament, and they just

  Speaker 1: pissed it all away. Now, one thing that I made

  Speaker 1: mention of the other night on TNT, and I think

  Speaker 1: I mentioned this on the Young Crown Wrestling show as well,

  Speaker 1: is that perhaps, and again I'm giving them a little

  Speaker 1: too much credit here, but just bear with me, perhaps

  Speaker 1: we could be looking at a situation where they want

  Speaker 1: to make this thing really ultra and maybe the winner

  Speaker 1: of the King of the Ring is somebody who we

  Speaker 1: don't even see in that bracket. Maybe the winner of

  Speaker 1: the King of the Ring is somebody like a drumacintyre

  Speaker 1: or Randy Orton or a Cmpunk or somebody who's currently

  Speaker 1: on the sidelines, likely on their way back soon, and

  Speaker 1: maybe they shoot some sort of injury angle heading into
• 5:20
  Speaker 1: the finals and then they slot that other person in there,
• 5:23
  Speaker 1: and that person goes on to win the craze. Is

  Speaker 1: it a cheap cop out way to kind of work

  Speaker 1: somebody in there at the very end? Sure, but it

  Speaker 1: was something that I floated, and honestly, looking at what

  Speaker 1: we're left with here, I'm not against that idea at all,

  Speaker 1: I would be okay with it. Depending on who the

  Speaker 1: person is, I think I would be okay with that.

  Speaker 1: I don't know what they're gonna do. I don't know

  Speaker 1: what they're gonna do. And frankly, my interest level in

  Speaker 1: this tournament has only gone down as the tournament has progressed. Normally,

  Speaker 1: with these things, you wanted to go up, but in

  Speaker 1: this case it seems to be regressing and going in
• 6:03
  Speaker 1: the opposite direction. This is the Queen of the Ring bracket. Again.

  Speaker 1: This is prior to the match we had tonight. What

  Speaker 1: a match. I'm gonna talk about that here in a second.

  Speaker 1: I was not a fan of that match. But this

  Speaker 1: is what we have here. We have Live Morgan is

  Speaker 1: gonna be wrestling Charlotte Flair SmackDown Got One that's gonna

  Speaker 1: be taking place next Friday. On the other side of

  Speaker 1: the bracket, we have EO Sky going one on one

  Speaker 1: with Raquel Rodriguez, which, again, it could go either way.

  Speaker 1: They could very well be leading us into an all

  Speaker 1: the least interesting path to take here in this tournament.

  Speaker 1: my interest level in these tournaments has just plummeted to

  Speaker 1: WWE Championship match. I will not be here live for it.

  Speaker 1: we'll see Cody Roads defending his championship against Gunther. And tonight,

  Speaker 1: Gunther was to choose the stipulation for that match. I

  Speaker 1: guess because he got screwed in his last match they gave.

  Speaker 1: They gave him the opportunity to pick the stip and
• 7:39
  Speaker 1: so what he decided to do is pick a special
• 7:41
  Speaker 1: guest referee, and the special guest referee for that match
• 7:45
  Speaker 1: will be none other than the last good guy, Sammy's Ain,
• 7:50
  Speaker 1: And I will say this, of everything that took place
• 7:52
  Speaker 1: on this show tonight, and really what's been going on
• 7:55
  Speaker 1: on SmackDown for several weeks now, the Sammy's Ain story,
• 7:59
  Speaker 1: the Sammy's Ain character arc, has been the most interesting,
• 8:03
  Speaker 1: most compelling part of SmackDown. If I had to pick
• 8:06
  Speaker 1: one thing, tonight was no different. The best parts of
• 8:09
  Speaker 1: the show really involved the Cody and Sammy's story. Gunther
• 8:13
  Speaker 1: he never even came out in front of the live crowd.
• 8:15
  Speaker 1: I'm not even sure if he was there. Maybe he
• 8:18
  Speaker 1: wasn't even there live, I don't know, but him aside,
• 8:23
  Speaker 1: and again you talk about somebody who's lost a lot
• 8:25
  Speaker 1: of his aura recently, but Cody and Sammy and the
• 8:29
  Speaker 1: story they've been telling with those two has really been
• 8:33
  Speaker 1: carrying this show. For me. It's the single most interesting storyline,
• 8:37
  Speaker 1: the single most interesting thing that is happening on these shows,
• 8:41
  Speaker 1: which is quite the turnaround, because you know, as I
• 8:43
  Speaker 1: was sitting here reviewing these SmackDown shows even just a
• 8:45
  Speaker 1: few months ago, I was talking about Sammy's Ain and
• 8:48
  Speaker 1: how he just was It's kind of like La Knight
• 8:50
  Speaker 1: in that interview he did with Chris Van Vliet when
• 8:52
  Speaker 1: he said that he felt like he was or is
• 8:55
  Speaker 1: a man without a country, right, and he just didn't
• 8:58
  Speaker 1: have anything to really sink his teeth. He had no story,
• 9:01
  Speaker 1: he had no direction. That was Sammy's Ain a few
• 9:04
  Speaker 1: months ago, and he just got very boring. All he
• 9:08
  Speaker 1: was doing on TV was bitching and moaning about you know,
• 9:10
  Speaker 1: how he knows he can do it. He could be
• 9:12
  Speaker 1: the world champion and things are going his way, and
• 9:15
  Speaker 1: I'm like, man, this guy, it's fucking depressing to watch
• 9:18
  Speaker 1: him on the show. But then again, watching SmackDown itself
• 9:20
  Speaker 1: is depressing. I mean, look at Johnny Gargano every week.

  Speaker 1: He's depressed every week. But now, all of a sudden,
• 9:26
  Speaker 1: just a few months later, and because the crowd started
• 9:29
  Speaker 1: to react a little bit differently to him, and I
• 9:31
  Speaker 1: think they just kind of ran with it. Sammy is
• 9:34
  Speaker 1: more interesting now than he's been probably in over a year.

  Speaker 1: So thankfully we at least have that to sort of
• 9:41
  Speaker 1: hang on to right now. I am interested to see
• 9:43
  Speaker 1: where that goes. The match next week with the two
• 9:46
  Speaker 1: of them for the championship is going to be commercial free,

  Speaker 1: just kind of nice. But outside of the Samy's Ain stuff,

  Speaker 1: I'll say this, I thought the King of the Ring

  Speaker 1: match in the main event tonight was it was good.

  Speaker 1: there wasn't good stuff in the match. I thought when

  Speaker 1: was sad because I would say for a good ninety

  Speaker 1: percent of that match tonight, nobody gave a shit. Ray

  Speaker 1: Phoenix came out. He's got the Triple A Cruiserweight Championship

  Speaker 1: that he just won from Laredo Kid right like a

  Speaker 1: week ago, two weeks ago, and he was defending it

  Speaker 1: toennight against Axiom. Nobody cared. He came out, Nobody cared.

  Speaker 1: The bell rang, nobody cared. These guys are working, they're

  Speaker 1: going back and forth. Nobody cared now, thankfully, as the

  Speaker 1: match kind of built to the final, I don't know,

  Speaker 1: ninety seconds or so, they did some big moves and

  Speaker 1: the fans kind of got into a little bit. Phoenix

  Speaker 1: picked up the win, and I'm just like, I'm looking

  Speaker 1: at this and I'm going I can't even blame Ray fix.

  Speaker 1: It's not Ray Phoenix's fault, and it's not Axiom's fault.

  Speaker 1: These are two uber talented professional wrestlers, and they went

  Speaker 1: out there and they had the best match that they

  Speaker 1: could have given the limitations that they're under. Because, believe me,

  Speaker 1: if Axiom and Ray Phoenix, if you gave those guys

  Speaker 1: ten or twelve minutes to go out there and have
• 11:12
  Speaker 1: the kind of match that they would like to have,
• 11:14
  Speaker 1: it would look very different than the match we had tonight.

  Speaker 1: By WWE standards, it was good. It was good, but

  Speaker 1: we know these guys could do better. But I don't

  Speaker 1: even blame them for that. This is the product of

  Speaker 1: not putting these people in positions to succeed. I don't

  Speaker 1: on Monday nights. Ray Phoenix has been left in the

  Speaker 1: dust and look Penta. To me, Penta is more charismatic

  Speaker 1: of the two. Anybody who's gonna get a bigger singles push,

  Speaker 1: I'm not shocked at Penta is the one who is

  Speaker 1: succeeding here. But how do you expect these people to

  Speaker 1: get over and to get reactions from the crowd when

  Speaker 1: you don't even take the time to work them into

  Speaker 1: your shows? And I don't want to hear from anybody

  Speaker 1: when SmackDown goes back to two hours in a few weeks,

  Speaker 1: less hour of SmackDown, and now people like Ray Phoenix

  Speaker 1: are not gonna get TV time. And whenever somebody makes
