- 0:16Speaker 1: So this is a special episode for members of the
- 0:19Speaker 1: Meltdown Horror Club. And you may be saying to yourself, hey,
- 0:22Speaker 1: I want to listen.
- 0:23Speaker 2: How can I join the club?
- 0:25Speaker 1: Well, it's easy to do. Just go to MovieMeltdown.com and
- 0:28Speaker 1: join our Patreon page. Then, not only will you get
- 0:31Speaker 1: to hear these exclusive episodes, but you'll also get to
- 0:34Speaker 1: join in on the selection process as you pick a
- 0:37Speaker 1: movie for us to watch. Otherwise, if we don't get
- 0:41Speaker 1: a movie from you, we have to come up with
- 0:43Speaker 1: our own methods to add new movies to the ongoing list.
- 0:47Speaker 1: And that can get us in trouble.
- 0:50Speaker 2: I was out perusing the stores. And again, I don't
- 0:55Speaker 2: go to normal stores. I go to stores where they
- 0:57Speaker 2: still have, like, movies.
- 1:00Speaker 1: So, you know, I'm going to, we're looking at like
- 1:04Speaker 1: flea markets and peddler's malls at this point. Like this
- 1:08Speaker 1: is where I've mentioned finding old VHS tapes. So obviously
- 1:11Speaker 1: this is the kind of place I go. So I
- 1:14Speaker 1: was just looking at one the other day and I
- 1:16Speaker 1: kept finding weird movies that I was like, I.
- 1:19Speaker 2: Don't even know that this exists anywhere else.
- 1:22Speaker 1: And if I leave without it, I might never find
- 1:24Speaker 1: it again. So I might have to get this. So
- 1:26Speaker 1: I did that with a few of them, several of
- 1:29Speaker 1: which were.
- 1:30Speaker 2: I think one's sort of sci-fi. I might make some
- 1:33Speaker 2: other poor bastards watch it.
- 1:34Speaker 1: But then I got to this title. Bottom Feeder. Starring,
- 1:42Speaker 1: and they spent all their money on the big star,
- 1:45Speaker 1: Tom Sizemore. Oh my. In Bottom Feeder. Now it's maybe
- 1:50Speaker 1: more appropriate if Tom Sizemore is Bottom Feeder. But I
- 1:56Speaker 1: looked at this and I was just like, I've never
- 1:59Speaker 1: heard of this. and it looks ridiculous and we probably
- 2:04Speaker 1: need to watch it so i'm of the opinion we
- 2:07Speaker 1: put this on the list and then i was like
- 2:09Speaker 1: well how the hell can we all watch it because
- 2:11Speaker 1: it's a dvd and then we'd all have to have
- 2:13Speaker 1: a way to watch it which some people here are
- 2:15Speaker 1: not really physical media people which we won't point out
- 2:18Speaker 1: who but i already looked it's on freaking youtube i
- 2:23Speaker 1: was like well just in case i'm getting this one
- 2:25Speaker 1: so i can watch it regardless but if we can
- 2:28Speaker 1: all watch it we can add it to the list
- 2:30Speaker 1: so the best i can tell is it looks like
- 2:33Speaker 1: a i mean and you can't get better than alligator
- 2:37Speaker 1: it looks kind of like an alligator knockoff so that's
- 2:39Speaker 1: like that puts how many rungs down on like the
- 2:42Speaker 1: drive-in movie when you're a knockoff of alligator so yeah
- 2:46Speaker 1: if you need to uh the back is just a
- 2:49Speaker 1: big shot of mid swing a bloody splattered with blood.
- 2:54Speaker 2: Tom Sizemore holding an axe so oh I hope.
- 2:57Speaker 3: We pick this one next oh I definitely hope so
- 3:01Speaker 3: that's the thing at first I was like oh this
- 3:02Speaker 3: is gonna be terrible maybe we shouldn't do that I
- 3:04Speaker 3: was like no this looks so bad.
- 3:06Speaker 4: I think we'd have fun so I went to google
- 3:09Speaker 4: Tom Sizemore bottom feeder and it automatically came up Tom
- 3:15Speaker 4: Sizemore bottom surgery.
- 3:18Speaker 1: Which I'm not going to click on right now. Yeah,
- 3:21Speaker 1: this is more than I need to get into with
- 3:22Speaker 1: Tom Slicemore. But I am curious.
- 3:27Speaker 4: Got a 4.3 out of 10 on IMDb.
- 3:29Speaker 1: That's kind of better than you would think.
- 3:32Speaker 4: 66% of the people like this movie.
- 3:34Speaker 3: Wow.
- 3:35Speaker 1: According to the front here, evil lies beneath the surface.
- 3:39Speaker 1: Of course it does. Bottom feeder. Oh, and it's the
- 3:45Speaker 1: unrated version. Well, I would hope so. I hope that's
- 3:48Speaker 1: what they put on YouTube.
- 3:49Speaker 4: This looks like a werewolf, but.
- 3:54Speaker 1: Living in the sewer. Yeah. Like, with no skin.
- 3:57Speaker 4: Go underground in this shocking, gore-drenched experience in terror.
- 4:01Speaker 3: Ooh.
- 4:04Speaker 1: So, this is what you leave us with, because you
- 4:07Speaker 1: out there listening, you could be picking the movies, and
- 4:10Speaker 1: then we wouldn't have to go to these lengths of
- 4:12Speaker 1: me rummaging through a box somewhere and finding this leftover...
- 4:16Speaker 1: DVD that actually wasn't scratched up. So I'm guessing nobody
- 4:20Speaker 1: ever watched it. That's your only safe bet when you
- 4:23Speaker 1: find them in those kind of places. Usually it's two options.
- 4:26Speaker 1: Either it's so scratched up there's no way in hell
- 4:28Speaker 1: it's ever going to play. Or nobody ever looked at
- 4:31Speaker 1: this movie. So I try to find those and I'm safe.
- 4:34Speaker 1: So this one I think I should be fine because
- 4:36Speaker 1: I don't know that anybody ever watched this movie.
- 4:38Speaker 3: We have to bring it to the masses.
- 4:40Speaker 1: We have to deliver unto you the masterpiece that is
- 4:44Speaker 1: Bottom Feeder. But that's what I'm saying. We have to
- 4:47Speaker 1: come up with our own ridiculous titles when we've got
- 4:50Speaker 1: these holes. Normally, because some of you out there are slacking.
- 4:53Speaker 2: And have not joined the Meltdown Horror Club.
- 4:56Speaker 3: It's only $ 2 a month.
- 4:58Speaker 1: $ 2 a month. And you can throw a movie at us.
- 5:00Speaker 1: I mean, it can't be much worse than this, probably.
- 5:02Speaker 1: We don't know yet. But you can pick whatever weird
- 5:05Speaker 1: movie you think you know of that nobody else knows of,
- 5:08Speaker 1: like Bottom Feeder. And then give it to us and
- 5:11Speaker 1: we'll put it on the list. And at some point,
- 5:13Speaker 1: the evil forces of the 20-sided die will lead us
- 5:16Speaker 1: to your movie. And then we will discuss it and
- 5:19Speaker 1: probably suffer. So these are things you could do. You
- 5:22Speaker 1: could be involved like I was when I went out
- 5:26Speaker 1: and picked this movie up yesterday. So lucky me.
- 5:30Speaker 2: I am now the proud owner of Bottom B.
- 5:32Speaker 4: We don't know.
- 5:33Speaker 1: That still might be.
- 5:34Speaker 4: I mean, you know, we've had some surprises.
- 5:37Speaker 1: That's true. That's why. I mean, it was just right there.
- 5:40Speaker 1: It was like, it looks so ridiculous. I think either
- 5:43Speaker 1: way we'll have fun with it.
- 5:44Speaker 2: But it might actually be an entertaining film. We will
- 5:47Speaker 2: find out somewhere down the line.
- 5:52Speaker 3: And I just did the calculations and $ 2 divided by
- 5:56Speaker 3: 30 days. It's only 6.66 cents per day.
- 6:01Speaker 1: Fantastic. That's perfect. Evil incarnate right there. Come on now.
- 6:06Speaker 1: You got to. you evil bastards out there throw six
- 6:09Speaker 1: dollars and 66 cents at us didn't we decide that
- 6:12Speaker 1: at one point we wanted people maybe we'll make that
- 6:14Speaker 1: our own specialty if you if you want to give
- 6:17Speaker 1: us six dollars and 66 cents.
- 6:19Speaker 2: A month and we can unleash this evil on the
- 6:22Speaker 2: uh on the universe.
- 6:24Speaker 1: But if not two bucks and you can throw a
- 6:26Speaker 1: movie onto our list like this wonderful feature here.
- 6:30Speaker 4: And let's be honest if you're watching a movie like
- 6:32Speaker 4: bottom feeder you probably don't have a lot of friends
- 6:35Speaker 4: to It's true. Not that you don't have a lot
- 6:36Speaker 4: of friends, but you don't have a lot of friends
- 6:38Speaker 4: that are going to be into the same sort of thing.
- 6:40Speaker 4: So you can be our friends and you can hear.
- 6:42Speaker 1: Us talk about it. Yeah. I mean, it's true. The
- 6:45Speaker 1: stuff that I like, most people I know do not like.
- 6:49Speaker 3: Right.
- 6:49Speaker 1: You know what it is. If you've ever watched it,
- 6:51Speaker 1: would not want to, again, I will interact with normal people.
- 6:55Speaker 2: I'm once again using the quotes here.
- 6:57Speaker 1: And even a movie they liked, you'll get about two
- 7:00Speaker 1: sentences out of them. You'll be like, yeah, that was
- 7:01Speaker 1: really cool. I like that. And that's it. And I'm
- 7:04Speaker 1: just like, Okay, I don't think you realize who... This
- 7:07Speaker 1: is why.
- 7:08Speaker 2: I don't get into these conversations with regular people.
- 7:10Speaker 1: Because I'm like, I've had three and a half hour
- 7:14Speaker 1: conversations about a 90 minute movie. And that's the minimal.
- 7:18Speaker 1: That's the lesser. Let alone when we dive into our
- 7:21Speaker 1: ongoing something giant like freaking Star Wars that we've now
- 7:24Speaker 1: had God knows how many countless hours of ongoing conversations.
- 7:29Speaker 1: But there's one in the last few years that was
- 7:31Speaker 1: like a good... Several hours longer than the movie. One conversation.
- 7:39Speaker 1: Normal people won't do that for you.
- 7:41Speaker 4: Outside of this room, I don't know of anybody who's
- 7:44Speaker 4: going to sit down and talk about Thanksgiving 3 with me.
- 7:46Speaker 1: At all. Let alone watch it. And that's how we
- 7:51Speaker 1: got stuck with that one too. We left that one
- 7:53Speaker 1: out there for people to choose. You can find something
- 7:57Speaker 1: better than Thanksgiving 3 and put it on our list.
- 7:59Speaker 1: And then we can have a much more functional discussion
- 8:02Speaker 1: about whatever movie you want us to watch so in
- 8:06Speaker 1: the meantime you can uh listen to this week's little
- 8:09Speaker 1: promo and hear us say amazing things like.
- 8:12Speaker 4: This did anyone figure out how to pronounce the name
- 8:17Speaker 4: of this movie i thought i would figure it out
- 8:20Speaker 4: by watching the movie i.
- 8:21Speaker 1: Kept practicing trying the kids just sort of muddle it
- 8:24Speaker 1: everything they just say and i'm like what what are
- 8:27Speaker 1: you saying.
- 8:27Speaker 3: Yeah i think it's like I remember reading it with
- 8:33Speaker 3: the picture of just that woman's face that's like decaying
- 8:36Speaker 3: and just having my hand like over that side so
- 8:38Speaker 3: I could still read the other side and like not
- 8:40Speaker 3: look at her.
- 8:41Speaker 1: Stop staring at me weirdly.
- 8:43Speaker 3: I think that was like my first foray into like,
- 8:46Speaker 3: I'm intrigued. This is scary, but I like it.
- 8:51Speaker 1: Everything is the lights are going to flicker when it's creepy.
- 8:55Speaker 1: Everything is going to be a jump scare. Everything is good.
- 8:58Speaker 1: Like it's just all of the dumb horror cliche things.
- 9:01Speaker 1: shoved into this and then on top of that like
- 9:04Speaker 1: a preposterous story that i'm like by the end of
- 9:07Speaker 1: it i'm like no points for how ridiculous this plot
- 9:10Speaker 1: is because it is great and it's ridiculous.
- 9:17Speaker 3: I was genuinely creeped out for a lot of this
- 9:19Speaker 3: like more than i have been there's a.
- 9:21Speaker 4: Lot of tension in this movie and i'm like i.
- 9:23Speaker 3: Would never show that yeah because this Scary scenes were
- 9:26Speaker 3: like really, really creepy and disturbing. And there's child death
- 9:30Speaker 3: in the first scene. It was like, don't show this
- 9:33Speaker 3: to kids.
- 9:34Speaker 1: He is me.
- 9:37Speaker 3: Except he had the big thick glasses, which are always
- 9:39Speaker 3: so cute on a little kid.
- 9:40Speaker 1: That he took off to see things better. Yeah. And
- 9:44Speaker 1: then it's completely blurry. I'm like, well, obviously you need
- 9:47Speaker 1: those glasses for that reason. Why would you take them off?
- 9:50Speaker 4: I wear glasses, as you guys can see. I've never
- 9:53Speaker 4: once done, thought, I can't see this too well. I'm
- 9:57Speaker 4: gonna take my glasses off especially if it's far away
- 9:59Speaker 4: like that because that's why i need my.
- 10:01Speaker 1: It'd be different if it were up close and he
- 10:03Speaker 1: needed reading glasses which again you wouldn't need as a
- 10:06Speaker 1: kid i took my glasses off right now i wouldn't
- 10:08Speaker 1: be able to tell who you guys were and we
- 10:09Speaker 1: might be a duty wow isn't that what the spooky
- 10:15Speaker 1: witch is called Send.
- 10:17Speaker 4: Your complaints here.
- 10:20Speaker 1: That's from another country, too. I don't really pay attention
- 10:24Speaker 1: to what borders they come from.
- 10:27Speaker 4: Spooky mirror witch.
- 10:30Speaker 3: We're calling her spooky mirror witch from now on.
- 10:35Speaker 1: It's time now. I've got other kids to murder, you know.
- 10:39Speaker 1: Let's get this going.
- 10:41Speaker 3: Yeah, that could have been a little better.
- 10:43Speaker 4: The witch was like, I don't like myself any more
- 10:45Speaker 4: than you do.
- 10:46Speaker 3: I'm tired of this. All I do is creep around
- 10:49Speaker 3: and open my mouth exceedingly wide.
- 10:51Speaker 1: That's all I do.
- 10:53Speaker 4: Which is a weird thing to see in so many movies.
- 10:59Speaker 4: you know, an extended jaw.
- 11:01Speaker 1: Again, it was really creepy the first time you saw it.
- 11:04Speaker 1: It's very creepy, yeah. But 28,000 times later, you're just like, oh,
- 11:07Speaker 1: they went with that design.
- 11:09Speaker 4: If I saw somebody walking down the street and their
- 11:11Speaker 4: mouth was open that wide and their eyes were all white,
- 11:13Speaker 4: I'd be creeped out.
- 11:15Speaker 1: Definitely. Again, those moments are creepy. You could stab them
- 11:17Speaker 1: in the head with a nail, probably. Maybe.
- 11:21Speaker 2: And I was like, what does mom do?
- 11:23Speaker 1: Like, did she just inherit all this money or is she.
- 11:26Speaker 4: Out working for all this? I'm pretty sure it's human trafficking.
- 11:30Speaker 4: I mean, well, she's got kids in two different countries.
- 11:33Speaker 4: I mean, I mean, she didn't.
- 11:37Speaker 1: Just get one. Like she did pick up a whole
- 11:40Speaker 1: batch of kids. Like that's, I'll take all of them. No,
- 11:44Speaker 1: she's nice.
- 11:45Speaker 4: She is nice. And I hope it's not human trafficking.
- 11:50Speaker 4: But until you can come up with something, you know,
- 11:53Speaker 4: more plausible.
- 11:54Speaker 1: Oh, God.
- 11:54Speaker 3: Well, obviously a wealthy widow whose husband died under mysterious
- 11:58Speaker 3: circumstances that may or may not have to do with
- 12:00Speaker 3: her already cracked current mirror.
- 12:02Speaker 1: That may or may not be buried in the backyard.
- 12:03Speaker 1: That's a good point.
- 12:07Speaker 3: I feel like I've also learned from this movie and
- 12:09Speaker 3: Oculus that I will be very susceptible to getting a
- 12:13Speaker 3: haunted mirror because they look so cool and ornate.
- 12:16Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 12:17Speaker 3: Antique mirrors like that cost a lot of money, okay?
- 12:20Speaker 3: And if I found a free one of those, I'd
- 12:21Speaker 3: be like, hell yeah.
- 12:22Speaker 1: Sure, which goes back.
- 12:23Speaker 4: To our point earlier about Gil or whatever his name was.
- 12:26Speaker 1: Glenn. Yeah. On the way home, you're slowly cruising by
- 12:29Speaker 1: people's yards looking for dumped mirrors in the front.
- 12:33Speaker 3: I'm just saying I'm probably at some point going to
- 12:35Speaker 3: come into possession.
- 12:36Speaker 1: Of a haunted mirror.
- 12:37Speaker 4: Hey, can you stop by the antique store and pick
- 12:39Speaker 4: up a mirror?
- 12:40Speaker 1: A really expensive mirror.
- 12:41Speaker 4: That ain't made of money.
- 12:45Speaker 1: Hey, look over there.
- 12:47Speaker 4: Hey, free trash mirror.
- 12:49Speaker 2: Yeah, it's those things that I just kept going, what
- 12:52Speaker 2: are you doing?
- 12:55Speaker 3: Yeah, and the number of times they explained what a,
- 12:58Speaker 3: what was a, it's like a wisp.
- 13:00Speaker 1: Oh, the. As if it's bad enough we can't say
- 13:04Speaker 1: the witch's name. You're gonna give us. And that little
- 13:08Speaker 1: girl says it over and over. And I'm like, please stop.
- 13:11Speaker 3: Please.
- 13:12Speaker 1: This is inappropriate. There are other children around. Stop saying.
- 13:16Speaker 3: But that was another one that they explained like so
- 13:20Speaker 3: many times.
- 13:20Speaker 1: A lot of, well. They didn't. They just kept saying it.
- 13:24Speaker 1: They explained it twice, but then the little girl kept
- 13:27Speaker 1: saying it every time she was thinking about, what does
- 13:31Speaker 1: that mean? Every time. And I'm like, but they just
- 13:33Speaker 1: told you what it means. And by the end, they
- 13:36Speaker 1: don't even make good on it. We don't really know
- 13:38Speaker 1: what the hell it means or how it ties to this, really. Otherwise,
- 13:42Speaker 1: go to moviemouthdown.com and click the Horror Club link right
