- 7:37[SPEAKER_15]: I'm Christmas, according to this forecast, all of that could change.
- 7:41[SPEAKER_15]: I don't stand by or warrant you the product here, but, um, and I don't know what Beth is saying about it, but looks like a little bit of moderation.
- 7:49[SPEAKER_15]: So, if you've gotten your, um, things cleaned up now, you should be in good shape headed into the holidays.
- 7:55[SPEAKER_15]: Oh, oh, oh, we like that.
- 7:58[SPEAKER_15]: uh... what else is going on well-channel seven led with a robberiner story and of course the uh... stupid remarks by trump i don't know which was more stupid remarks by trump about robberiner or the comments of by truck shumer about the australian massacre and made it into a go bills like they were they were both stupid and uh... but i'm not going to get into that too much and i don't want to be a you're not interested in that stuff you want to hear your local news i watch the city council meeting last night
- 8:28[SPEAKER_15]: Well, I just kind of went to do no Dr. Kimmel killed a deer on the way to the council meeting.
- 8:34[SPEAKER_15]: Well, he said, he said that we had a run-in with Bambi, and it didn't turn out too well for Bambi.
- 8:40[SPEAKER_15]: I assume that means the deer is dead.
- 8:44[SPEAKER_15]: He was late for the meeting.
- 8:47[SPEAKER_15]: I don't know what he did.
- 8:49[SPEAKER_15]: He's a doctor, but he had done something.
- 8:51[SPEAKER_15]: I don't know.
- 8:53[SPEAKER_15]: I don't know.
- 8:54[SPEAKER_15]: I don't know what the damage to his car was, but I would recommend John Harder out on the Patterson road if he got deer damage.
- 9:00[SPEAKER_15]: So he does a great job.
- 9:02[SPEAKER_15]: Excellent job.
- 9:04[SPEAKER_15]: Let's see.
- 9:05[SPEAKER_15]: Oh, the council meeting.
- 9:06[SPEAKER_15]: Yeah, it was.
- 9:09[SPEAKER_15]: Well, it was the last meeting for the two people that I, you know, too many niceties last night.
- 9:14[SPEAKER_15]: I listened to all these sitting there.
- 9:17[SPEAKER_15]: You know, talking about the city manager's Conjuring, well, I support all of this.
- 9:22[SPEAKER_15]: I support you right to live out outside of the town.
- 9:25[SPEAKER_15]: I just don't like this one provision in here, but you've done a great job.
- 9:29[SPEAKER_15]: Well, you've been trying to put you in jail.
- 9:33[SPEAKER_15]: What do you think that meeting that was authorized with the city attorney and the troopers was all about?
- 9:40[SPEAKER_15]: Modern, poor old, councilman, old name.
- 9:43[SPEAKER_15]: Anyway, Councilwoman Reser was here with somewhat, you know, careful in her words, talked about things that went on when she was at office and didn't get two into the details on the, um, I guess she'd call it email gate or BCC gate.
- 10:02[SPEAKER_15]: Here's my recommendation to the two new council members.
- 10:07[SPEAKER_15]: Don't email, stop it.
- 10:10[SPEAKER_15]: Don't forward emails, don't DCC or blind copy.
- 10:14[SPEAKER_15]: Don't do anything.
- 10:15[SPEAKER_15]: I don't think this stuff is quote, unethical, or you know, you get thrown in jail or anything like that.
- 10:22[SPEAKER_15]: I think all of this was kind of a contrived deal, but that's my opinion.
- 10:26[SPEAKER_15]: But so we don't get into it again.
- 10:29[SPEAKER_15]: Maybe the newbies, as they like to be called, can just, you know, take a blotter with or something,
- 10:38[SPEAKER_15]: Um, there's no need, no emailing the lawyer every day.
- 10:43[SPEAKER_15]: Well, what do you think of this?
- 10:44[SPEAKER_15]: Kristen or anything like, no, no.
- 10:49[SPEAKER_15]: And, uh, what she said last night that attorney, she said, I reviewed thousands of emails.
- 10:55[SPEAKER_15]: Oh my god, who authorized that?
- 10:58[SPEAKER_15]: And who asked for it?
- 10:59[SPEAKER_15]: That's got to be a lot of money and to drop those charges.
- 11:03[SPEAKER_15]: And then somebody, I don't know who said it, but I think the,
- 11:06[SPEAKER_15]: The ethics charges were signed by those three council members, and they never even read the the allegations.
- 11:12[SPEAKER_15]: That whole thing was screwy.
- 11:15[SPEAKER_15]: Councilman, the lactose born said it shouldn't have been broad.
- 11:17[SPEAKER_15]: He was right.
- 11:19[SPEAKER_15]: He was right.
- 11:22[SPEAKER_15]: But anyway, the last meeting is done.
- 11:23[SPEAKER_15]: There were no fifth of cuffs.
- 11:27[SPEAKER_15]: There was some phony niceties.
- 11:31[SPEAKER_15]: I guess that's important that you have phony niceties in government is otherwise there wouldn't be festive cuffs.
- 11:40[SPEAKER_15]: Hmm.
- 11:41[SPEAKER_15]: I don't know if somebody just texted me with something.
- 11:45[SPEAKER_15]: Oh, let's see.
- 11:46[SPEAKER_15]: Take a vow of no-mice.
- 11:49[SPEAKER_15]: No-mice.
- 11:51[SPEAKER_15]: No more emails.
- 11:52[SPEAKER_15]: Stop.
- 11:55[SPEAKER_15]: Raise your questions at the council meetings.
- 11:59[SPEAKER_15]: now the other thing I didn't like and this is where only was right the so-called only clause it's in the city manager's contract it's called paragraph 13 but it really is the only clause and it attempts to say that a council member cannot talk to a staff member unless the city manager is present or something and that's nonsense that is absolutely not
- 12:22[SPEAKER_15]: I, you know, the city man, I'm tired of this form of government.
- 12:25[SPEAKER_15]: They'd like to be imperial in their, I'm powerful.
- 12:28[SPEAKER_15]: I do this and that and you can't tell me and all of that.
- 12:32[SPEAKER_15]: Even when I was there, you know, if I decided to run on the second floor and talk to the cop troll, because I had a question, I didn't go down there and tell them to get me a cup of coffee or to cut me a track or something, I might just, you know, went down or the same thing if you went down to all the planning or engineering, because you wanted to look at some plans or had a question.
- 12:53[SPEAKER_15]: I remember that union street fire I went down there as I tried to do when I was in office and you know the fire chief that was go might he had just started when he got things under control he came over and brief me it was a courtesy you know we didn't have any you can't talk to him that was only was right on that but he was wrong on everything else.
- 13:15[SPEAKER_15]: So, I don't know, they did pass his resolution sort of setting up a framework for a marketing effort, better marketing effort.
- 13:24[SPEAKER_15]: So, I don't know what that means, but means something, I guess.
- 13:29[SPEAKER_15]: And other things from the council meeting, I just can't think of any.
- 13:33[SPEAKER_15]: I can't think of any.
- 13:37[SPEAKER_15]: But,
- 13:48[SPEAKER_15]: Now, I got a question this morning.
- 13:49[SPEAKER_15]: Somebody asked me, when I was going getting out of office, was I presented with a certificate and a coin?
- 13:57[SPEAKER_15]: And it was it done standing up in front of the day, us and all of that.
- 14:02[SPEAKER_15]: I can't remember.
- 14:03[SPEAKER_15]: I had a coin already.
- 14:05[SPEAKER_15]: And I don't either know the certificate.
- 14:07[SPEAKER_15]: So I did take my name plate, the one that's on the desk.
- 14:12[SPEAKER_15]: It's in my basement now.
- 14:13[SPEAKER_15]: I look at it once in a while.
- 14:16[SPEAKER_15]: Yeah.
- 14:17[SPEAKER_15]: I don't know if I was supposed to take it kind of naughty of me.
- 14:20[SPEAKER_15]: I thought, but then that could be an ethics complaint right there.
- 14:24[SPEAKER_15]: Well, let's see.
- 14:29[SPEAKER_15]: Well, let's see.
- 14:30[SPEAKER_15]: There's a story of Schumer and Staphonic find where common ground on the whole milk for healthy kids act.
- 14:37[SPEAKER_15]: Well, that's important.
- 14:38[SPEAKER_15]: Well, I'm all for home.
- 14:42[SPEAKER_15]: I'm all for milk.
- 14:48[SPEAKER_15]: kind of a compromise on the middle of the road type of guy.
- 14:51[SPEAKER_15]: Yeah, middle of the road.
- 14:55[SPEAKER_15]: I see Howard Stern signed up for another three years on satellite radio.
- 14:59[SPEAKER_15]: You know, I don't know if anybody listens to him much anymore.
- 15:02[SPEAKER_15]: He was such a phenomenon for a while, but he kind of went nutty, left, left wing.
- 15:08[SPEAKER_15]: And I don't know anybody listens to him.
- 15:13[SPEAKER_15]: But maybe there must be somebody because they're paying him.
- 15:19[SPEAKER_15]: okay uh... let's see what else is going on here there's another poll out on the group of tutorial race hopeful holds a lead is this a ciana oyes forty nine to thirty and beating Blakeman fifty to twenty five so why's Blakeman in there i don't know uh... a lot of voters say they want a new governor
- 15:48[SPEAKER_15]: So I don't know how that boat is for a primary, but I don't know.
- 15:58[SPEAKER_15]: Let's see, these poll stories are always something.
- 16:07[SPEAKER_15]: 70% of voters don't know who Mr. Blakeman is, including apparently most of the North country news media.
- 16:19[SPEAKER_15]: The only areas where he pulls fairly well are on in the suburbs, National and Suffolk down it.
- 16:24[SPEAKER_15]: So I don't know.
- 16:25[SPEAKER_15]: 19.0 lead is it for a vocal in the lead at Sienna Pulse?
- 16:32[SPEAKER_15]: I guess things have to settle in a little more, but it's, yeah.
- 16:38[SPEAKER_15]: Somebody checks it in any word on the angry man.
- 16:40[SPEAKER_15]: No, we have not heard anything on the angry man.
- 16:44[SPEAKER_15]: Um, don't know what happened.
- 16:47[SPEAKER_15]: We hope it's just a temporary absence.
- 16:51[SPEAKER_15]: Um, if anybody knows the angry man, think he lives over on the north side right off Mill Street.
- 16:59[SPEAKER_16]: Uh-huh.
- 17:02[SPEAKER_15]: I'm sure somebody's already checked out him by now.
- 17:08[SPEAKER_15]: It's, wow, it was just a, like he disappeared off the face of the earth.
- 17:13[SPEAKER_15]: Having done that once, I know how easy it is to do.
- 17:16[SPEAKER_15]: So hopefully he makes a comeback.
- 17:18[SPEAKER_15]: Hopefully he makes a comeback.
- 17:21[SPEAKER_15]: 755, well, 40, the phone number, um, what you're on the air and talk about things, anything you want to talk about.
- 17:33[SPEAKER_15]: Uh, let's see.
- 17:38[SPEAKER_15]: I don't really have strong feelings on my reaction to Rob Reiner is I remember I'm on all in a family.
- 17:46[SPEAKER_15]: I know he was politically active, but I don't pay attention to that and I met somebody this morning who had worked in Hollywood and had had some encounters with him on a production.
- 18:00[SPEAKER_15]: Said he was a great guy, nice guy.
- 18:03[SPEAKER_15]: So, you know,
- 18:05[SPEAKER_15]: If I were a public official and somebody said, what do you think of Rob Reiner being murdered?
- 18:09[SPEAKER_15]: I see, horrible tragedy, and I pray for his family.
- 18:12[SPEAKER_15]: That must have been horrible for his daughter to discover that.
- 18:16[SPEAKER_15]: And leave it at that.
- 18:19[SPEAKER_15]: Yeah.
- 18:21[SPEAKER_15]: Leave it at that.
- 18:23[SPEAKER_15]: That's where Trump hurts himself.
- 18:24[SPEAKER_15]: There's no doubt about it.
- 18:26[SPEAKER_15]: Can't modulate that.
- 18:28[SPEAKER_15]: Nothing, you know, candles one thing, and I don't look at a call from Dough for some, I mean, why are you playing spoken?
- 18:34[SPEAKER_15]: Sometimes you just don't say anything.
- 18:36[SPEAKER_15]: You ever heard that expression if you can't say someone something nice about somebody, don't say it at all.
- 18:41[SPEAKER_15]: Or the other expression, don't speak ill of the dead.
- 18:45[SPEAKER_15]: Now sometimes we do speak ill of the dead.
- 18:46[SPEAKER_15]: People tend to do that with Paul Pot and Stalin and Hitler.
- 18:52[SPEAKER_15]: But I don't know.
- 18:57[SPEAKER_15]: Mr. Rhiner, no.
- 18:58[SPEAKER_15]: And everybody loved his father, Carl.
- 19:00[SPEAKER_15]: Huge comedian back 50, 60, 70s.
- 19:03[SPEAKER_15]: Yeah, for those who remember things back then.
- 19:07[SPEAKER_15]: So there you go.
- 19:10[SPEAKER_15]: Let's see what else is going on.
- 19:11[SPEAKER_15]: If you have anything you want to talk about, give us a hoot and a holler.
- 19:15[SPEAKER_15]: We'll put you right on.
- 19:19[SPEAKER_15]: Who would have city police do a welfare track?
- 19:26[SPEAKER_15]: I had his name written down somewhere.
- 19:27[SPEAKER_15]: It was on the text message.
- 19:30[SPEAKER_15]: I suppose that's possible, but I don't feel a little intrusive doing that.
- 19:37[SPEAKER_15]: Somebody checks in and Donald Trump is mentally ill, well, okay.
- 19:43[SPEAKER_15]: I don't know if he isn't out, but you've got three more years of them, so you better get used to it.
- 19:59[SPEAKER_15]: I think the animal, or the, or the story of TV, but animal farm the book, but I don't know I tend to think the midterm elections will not be good for Republicans, but who knows?
- 20:19[SPEAKER_15]: No, somebody offered to go check, let me if somebody has that name and address can resend it.
- 20:25[SPEAKER_15]: I don't remember where I put it on here.
- 20:29[SPEAKER_15]: um... and maybe uh... somebody can go and check out them because that really is strange sometimes people take a little time off from the show and all of that but uh... not like this that was that was a strange exit strange exit yeah we're trying it
- 21:00[SPEAKER_15]: But I can't remember the name, and it's buried in a text message I forget which person sent it to me.
- 21:08[SPEAKER_15]: So I get so many because I'm so popular, right?
- 21:11[SPEAKER_15]: 755, 1240, the phone number.
- 21:13[SPEAKER_15]: If you'd like to give us a call to be on the show of show who's today, and we'll talk about whatever you want within the bounds of good taste, okay?
- 21:22[SPEAKER_15]: The bounds of good taste, okay?
- 21:27[SPEAKER_15]: Oh, that's where he got going on here.
- 21:29[SPEAKER_15]: OK, I'll take a break if you want.
- 21:32[SPEAKER_15]: And then we'll come back with more.
- 21:34[SPEAKER_15]: You can tell us what, oh, there's a call.
- 21:36[SPEAKER_15]: But after noon, we're after noon here on the air.
- 21:38[SPEAKER_13]: Come on and Jeff, how are you today?
- 21:40[SPEAKER_15]: Good.
- 21:41[SPEAKER_13]: Jeff, I got something I wanted to talk about and I hope we get some good feedback on it.
- 21:47[SPEAKER_13]: These crosswalk signs, especially the one down there got a bottom of state street just before you go into the square.
- 21:55[SPEAKER_13]: I was parked in that little parking lot across the street
- 21:58[SPEAKER_13]: And I observed there was an older lady trying to cross there.
- 22:02[SPEAKER_13]: She was within the signs there, and everything, you know, standing on the curb.
- 22:07[SPEAKER_13]: A city fire truck from State Street.
- 22:10[SPEAKER_13]: I went right by her never stopped.
- 22:12[SPEAKER_13]: You'll foil ambulance, went by, no signs or anything.
- 22:17[SPEAKER_13]: And a cab went by.
- 22:18[SPEAKER_13]: Nobody stopped, finally attracted your trailer again.
- 22:21[SPEAKER_13]: So I was talking to one of the business owners there and they were saying how you know it's a common thing that everybody's just flying down through There's they don't stop for people and one of the things that you know when it was on factory street that crosswalk they got the flashing lights Oh, by black laws and yes, yeah, it's right there.
- 22:41[SPEAKER_13]: Yeah, just up from the impossible dream and
- 22:44[SPEAKER_13]: That's got good flashing lights on us, so when somebody's standing there, they can trigger that and it lets cars know that somebody's going to pass.
- 22:52[SPEAKER_13]: The problem with that lower state street right there, where that crosswalk is, it was where it goes into the double lane.
- 23:00[SPEAKER_15]: Now are you talking about in front of Mr. Square?
- 23:03[SPEAKER_15]: You're talking about right in front of the Baptist Church.
- 23:07[SPEAKER_16]: Yes.
- 23:08[SPEAKER_16]: Yes.
- 23:09[SPEAKER_15]: Okay, and then it's also difficult for people to cross.
- 23:13[SPEAKER_15]: factory street over towards where Mr. Solbe is, too.
- 23:16[SPEAKER_13]: Yeah, yeah.
- 23:18[SPEAKER_13]: Oh, yeah.
- 23:19[SPEAKER_13]: But, you know, I mean, that's right there by the church here.
- 23:22[SPEAKER_13]: That is a heavy travel route right there.
- 23:25[SPEAKER_13]: And, you know, people see the lights starting to change and they boost the car.
- 23:29[SPEAKER_13]: You know, and they're trying to make that right.
- 23:31[SPEAKER_13]: That light, before it turns right or half the time, it's red.
- 23:34[SPEAKER_13]: But, like I said, it's right there where it turns into a double lane.
- 23:38[SPEAKER_13]: So, I mean,
- 23:41[SPEAKER_13]: people are kind of rude they don't stop for those people you know and I I've observed it I don't know how many times and I think you know the city should do something to possibly put one of those flashing lights there or any
- 23:56[SPEAKER_15]: Well, first of all, if it's a government vehicle fire truck or quasi-government vehicle, like an ambulance, certainly a police car, and they say a little old lady trying to cross the street, especially in this weather, they should stop, I mean, and that's just not only courtesy, but also something such a good example, too.
- 24:22[SPEAKER_15]: well that's true but yeah they're more than the same they're marked vehicles and I think they have a higher level of responsibility to set an example that's going to catch me heat in some circles but yeah they'll say I just wanted to bring that up and you know maybe get some input on that from other callers but I think you know something needs to be done for the safety of these people because that's got a lot of people across right there okay well it's a good point and I
- 24:53[SPEAKER_15]: All right, thank you, sir.
- 24:55[SPEAKER_15]: All right, it's a good point.
- 24:56[SPEAKER_15]: Yeah, I mean, you know, safety on the roads, especially pedestrian type stuff is a, I've said this before, and team effort.
- 25:04[SPEAKER_15]: It's not who's gots their right.
- 25:06[SPEAKER_15]: Tides gots my rights to cross there.
- 25:07[SPEAKER_15]: No, you still have to look.
- 25:10[SPEAKER_15]: And people who step off the curb without looking either way.
- 25:14[SPEAKER_15]: I don't know.
- 25:15[SPEAKER_15]: They can say they got the right away, but they ain't too bright, but other people, especially people, older, disabled and so on, and you see people in wheelchairs, they're out in the road.
- 25:26[SPEAKER_15]: You know, you wish they weren't in all of that, but it got us all down, you know, you know, one of the more accidents we've had accidents.
- 25:38[SPEAKER_15]: You raise the guy raises good points.
- 25:40[SPEAKER_15]: No doubt about it.
- 25:41[SPEAKER_15]: Hey, let's take a break.

- 29:19[SPEAKER_14]: I'm the blind guy that travels the street.
- 29:22[SPEAKER_14]: Mm-hmm.
- 29:23[SPEAKER_14]: I know where there's danger.
- 29:25[SPEAKER_14]: It's like, for example, commissar.
- 29:29[SPEAKER_14]: In front of DMB, the shovel, okay, there's 30 shovels at the end of the cap ramp, right?
- 29:36[SPEAKER_16]: Okay.
- 29:37[UNKNOWN]: You're going to the end of the cap ramp across Arsenal Street where you could tell this I, what do you think's over there?
- 29:43[SPEAKER_15]: Snowbank?
- 29:44[SPEAKER_14]: Snowbank?
- 29:44[SPEAKER_14]: Snowbank?
- 29:45[SPEAKER_14]: They all have commissar's luck, but it is
- 29:50[SPEAKER_14]: But now that I know that side of the tree, come on now, it's coming soon.
- 29:53[SPEAKER_14]: They don't think about that.
- 29:55[SPEAKER_14]: No, the scooter gets out there, he has no place to get on the road now.
- 29:59[SPEAKER_16]: Right.
- 30:00[UNKNOWN]: He assumed that it was clear.
- 30:01[UNKNOWN]: No, it's not clear.
- 30:02[UNKNOWN]: And so, just like, for example, the city bus system, right?
- 30:08[UNKNOWN]: Here it is, the major city bus system.
- 30:10[SPEAKER_14]: And there's no way to cross our snow street, safely there, on our K3, to go to family dollar
- 30:19[SPEAKER_14]: or whatever.
- 30:20[SPEAKER_14]: Okay, you see a light there.
- 30:23[SPEAKER_14]: I have to have them put the light back up because it's on site.
- 30:27[SPEAKER_14]: Or a flash of light.
- 30:28[SPEAKER_14]: You know what I would call?
- 30:30[SPEAKER_14]: From your friend, it comes on the hot-on show.
- 30:34[SPEAKER_14]: The ex-maier.
- 30:35[SPEAKER_14]: Well, can't you walk down to the American corner and cross down there and then come on with that course stream and then cross course stream and come over to family dollars.
- 30:44[SPEAKER_14]: Does that make sense?
- 30:45[SPEAKER_30]: No.
- 30:47[SPEAKER_14]: Well, there you go.
- 30:48[SPEAKER_14]: That's my point.
- 30:49[SPEAKER_14]: Maybe you can get some of these big car businesses to support something for the safety of pedestrians.
- 30:56[SPEAKER_14]: Come on now.
- 30:57[SPEAKER_14]: They're looking to do a good job.
- 30:59[SPEAKER_14]: There's nothing to put another light up there to stop traffic.
- 31:02[SPEAKER_14]: Two lanes, they'll run your butt over right there, or it can't reach a major cross and intersection.
- 31:09[SPEAKER_14]: Not, nothing being done there.
- 31:11[SPEAKER_14]: Right here, like that guy says, listen, plenty of time done in the road.
- 31:18[SPEAKER_14]: I'm in the crosswalk, but do you think they start?
- 31:22[SPEAKER_14]: No, they don't stop.
- 31:24[SPEAKER_14]: You start to cross.
- 31:25[SPEAKER_14]: You might be listening when you're here because that trap is coming.
- 31:28[SPEAKER_14]: They'll run right over because they don't stop.
- 31:31[SPEAKER_14]: Even while I was in the flashing crosswalk on factory street, I almost got killed there one day because I heard that car coming.
- 31:38[SPEAKER_14]: Never slowed down, and it's a good thing I didn't step up there.
- 31:41[SPEAKER_14]: You just have faith that there was a stop because no.
- 31:45[SPEAKER_15]: Well, yeah, I mean, that's...
- 31:48[SPEAKER_15]: It is difficult, there's no doubt about it, and you can't take chances, so don't.
- 31:52[SPEAKER_14]: No, I can't take chances, you know, I'm just, I take a chance.
- 31:57[SPEAKER_14]: One, I don't hear nothing, that's one I cross.
- 32:00[SPEAKER_14]: Or, when I hear a car, I have to lose me stopping.
- 32:03[SPEAKER_14]: But, you know, the city can do a better job in the safety of the public they could.
- 32:10[SPEAKER_14]: But, it just ignores a fact until some tragic accident happens, or we should have done something.
- 32:19[SPEAKER_14]: now maybe Bob Johnson come on what what would it call 10,000 I don't know what it would call I mean the boom truck took the light down on our green street then they were put the turn thing back up there so there you go I mean I got to first hear the experience and you just got to be able to people just do not respect or they don't go down they sit the nightmare but hey hey were you at the
- 32:48[SPEAKER_14]: I don't go to those because we know that navigating down the street with no sidewalks can't read where the sidewalk is I end up in the road in terms of safe for me right now So I kind of stay away from dangerous zones of that.
- 33:03[SPEAKER_14]: It's not worth for me going down When that line I can just get the update from the hotline.
- 33:09[SPEAKER_14]: What the exactly took place so I just don't put myself in that kind of situation of our
- 33:17[SPEAKER_14]: Gotcha.
- 33:19[SPEAKER_14]: It's all over, let's move on.
- 33:23[SPEAKER_14]: Hopefully the new council can make a better decision and what more and 4DTLs and get something done here in the 30.
- 33:30[SPEAKER_15]: Thank you.
- 33:31[SPEAKER_15]: All right.
- 33:31[SPEAKER_15]: Thank you.
- 33:32[SPEAKER_15]: Well, there's been so much time feuding and festering over the last couple of years.
- 33:36[SPEAKER_15]: Yeah, it's.
- 33:37[SPEAKER_15]: I don't think they've ever even dealt with an issue.
- 33:41[SPEAKER_15]: Maybe that maybe the new council people can, but you know, they've, they've got to be careful because they don't want to overstep their authority or say anything that, you know, will be considered unethical or something, is the bar is low, I'll tell you.
- 33:54[SPEAKER_15]: So, I don't know, I'm just not not a fan of the way things are, but you know, but did anybody, did anybody ever say who was responsible for putting those speed bumps in the park?
- 34:09[SPEAKER_15]: Well, that was a good idea.
- 34:12[SPEAKER_15]: I didn't think so.
- 34:14[SPEAKER_15]: Um...
- 34:17[SPEAKER_15]: I don't know, there's just a lot of things.
- 34:18[SPEAKER_15]: It's baffling to hear it.
- 34:21[SPEAKER_15]: Baffling.
- 34:23[SPEAKER_15]: Uh, let's see.
- 34:24[SPEAKER_15]: You know what I mean?
- 34:26[SPEAKER_15]: What are we going on here?
- 34:27[SPEAKER_15]: It's um... Well, Hanukkah is underway now.
- 34:31[SPEAKER_15]: We're in the third, third day, isn't it?
- 34:33[SPEAKER_15]: Yeah.
- 34:35[SPEAKER_15]: Third, fourth day, I think.
- 34:37[SPEAKER_15]: So getting the manure of all lit up, let's see, we have our little manure in the window, the control room here, so anyway, it's, I don't know, it's the, the those kind of feelings exist up here, like these two idiots in Australia, not only that were they shooting people, but they had ISIS flags and bombs in their car, according to the Prime Minister.
- 35:06[SPEAKER_15]: And you know, maybe they got to stop with all their, well, you know, there are peaceful people, and we have to give up two states, and we have to have a Palestinian, no, you don't know you don't.
- 35:21[SPEAKER_15]: If somebody wants to create a Palestinian state, let that sheek over there and Saudi Arabia do it, he's got the cash, not up to us to do that or negotiate.
- 35:30[SPEAKER_15]: Well, I didn't do it.
- 35:32[SPEAKER_15]: They got the land in the money, set them up somewhere.
- 35:36[SPEAKER_15]: sum up somewhere if they want to have a separate state no so i don't know but as far as he said people like down in australia father son what the heck kind of father even if you have ever infused would recruit their own son for that kind of thing knowing it they could get killed or something like what do they what's that yeah that's terrible
- 36:04[SPEAKER_15]: and that poor guy who's the hero jumped on the guy's back he took a few rounds five rounds in the arm i mean i saw him in bed looks like he's got to make it but he's in what a hero he is yeah he should get a call from trump or something seven high five because i doubt the prime minister over there a lot of the sense to go to the hospital and see him but he should
- 36:31[SPEAKER_15]: He should.
- 36:43[SPEAKER_22]: We'll bring you the latest in just minutes at the top of the hour on AM-1240-W-A-T-A.

- 41:09[SPEAKER_15]: And more crosswalk builders.
- 41:10[SPEAKER_15]: Well, it's a possibility.

- 41:53[SPEAKER_15]: But, you know, sometimes they're hard to see, you know, coming especially near the snow, but I don't know.
- 41:58[SPEAKER_15]: It's just, uh, it's dangerous.
- 42:02[SPEAKER_15]: You know, out on these kind of roads and that type of thing.
- 42:05[SPEAKER_15]: But, I don't want to get one time I said something about bicycles and snowstorms and I've all met.
- 42:12[SPEAKER_15]: I got pelting it from all over the country.
- 42:14[SPEAKER_15]: I was getting emails, texts, terrible.
- 42:18[SPEAKER_15]: Terrible.
- 42:19[SPEAKER_15]: 755-1240 is the phone numbers.
- 42:22[SPEAKER_15]: Phone number if you'd like to give us a call to be on the show of shows today.
- 42:25[SPEAKER_15]: And you know we got a lot of, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, let me just, uh, refresh news.
- 42:33[SPEAKER_15]: You see if he's got anything new here.
- 42:35[SPEAKER_15]: I think we're still with the same stuff.
- 42:41[SPEAKER_15]: There's another one of these stories, social media so passes television and source of news.
- 42:46[SPEAKER_15]: It really is scary, you know, we were talking, I was talking to next, or soon to be ex council members.
- 42:51[SPEAKER_15]: They, this whole thing that's been going on down there, do you really think it would happen if you had some kind of conscious of the, conscience of the community, like editorial writer, like publisher, whatever kind of, you know, pulling everybody back in the other way
- 43:11[SPEAKER_15]: I think there's value in that, that institutional knowledge informed opinions, and they're not always right, but I think there's some, it's a way that this would have gone on as long as it did or with the intensity it did.
- 43:26[SPEAKER_15]: But I noticed like last night, right after the council meeting, you know, I was looking on that meme page, and they were probably boom, boom, boom.
- 43:33[SPEAKER_15]: You know, going after these people, when does it stop?
- 43:37[SPEAKER_15]: What, what, what amuses those people in the new year?
- 43:41[SPEAKER_15]: And we're after last night, that's what I would have to say.
- 43:44[SPEAKER_15]: I mean, what abuse is me?
- 43:46[SPEAKER_15]: Who knows?
- 43:46[SPEAKER_15]: I'm just guilty as the rest of them.
- 43:49[SPEAKER_15]: Other more open about it, a little more fair, but, you know, now I said the other day, Councilwoman Regerra was out, ringing the bell for the salvation army,
- 44:04[SPEAKER_15]: And I jokingly said, oh, there was penance for you doing that.
- 44:07[SPEAKER_15]: I mean, in that sense, you know, some people get way overly sensitive.
- 44:11[SPEAKER_15]: Sometimes I think she understands that, too, but it's, uh, the important news out of last night is the, who have made it through four years without them being able to put him in jail because that's what the goal was, is anybody think otherwise, but
- 44:35[SPEAKER_15]: So I guess that's something to be said for that.
- 44:38[SPEAKER_15]: But after noon here on the air.
- 44:40[SPEAKER_25]: How you doing?
- 44:41[SPEAKER_15]: All right, what's up?
- 44:43[SPEAKER_25]: Oh, not much.
- 44:45[SPEAKER_25]: I was seeing that for some reason she, Mr. Jerry, she's been stalked by that page.
- 44:53[SPEAKER_25]: She can't even put up an award ceremony or a picture of it.
- 44:58[SPEAKER_25]: Not even minutes later, you look in the Mimi page is jumping right on her.
- 45:05[SPEAKER_15]: It is, I had no doubt about it.
- 45:08[SPEAKER_25]: Yeah, I mean, you stopped, they're stalking a public official.
- 45:13[SPEAKER_25]: Yeah, that's pretty sad.
- 45:14[SPEAKER_25]: Yeah.
- 45:16[SPEAKER_15]: Well, here's what we've done to our public officials.
- 45:18[SPEAKER_15]: Now, you know, politics was always a little bit of a rough and tumble deal.
- 45:21[SPEAKER_15]: But I can remember back in the Bruce Demster days.
- 45:24[SPEAKER_15]: There was a little bit of decorum when you ran for office people sick and graduations on your candidacy.
- 45:29[SPEAKER_15]: You know, you had hold an opening press conference.
- 45:31[SPEAKER_15]: Now it's like,
- 45:34[SPEAKER_15]: You know, all you do is get ridiculed, all it is is, well, you shouldn't get paid anything, and we're going to, you know, you shouldn't get there, so you shouldn't get that.
- 45:42[SPEAKER_15]: And we're getting, we're reaping what we sowed over the past 30 years, and it's unfortunate.
- 45:51[SPEAKER_25]: I used to be like, really, I used to put, you know, the politicians and the people in government.
- 45:59[SPEAKER_25]: I used to hold them over the fire, but now it's still fracked.
- 46:02[SPEAKER_25]: I was taught a while back to like, you know how people call up and they got a problem what's called up and they can't stand them.
- 46:09[SPEAKER_25]: Well, years ago, there when Obama was present, I didn't like him and I'd be going off on a field and I remember someone saying to me, well, if you don't like the person in the office, then pray for the seat.
- 46:22[SPEAKER_25]: You know?
- 46:23[SPEAKER_25]: If you don't like somebody and they're not going to be there forever, so it's like you're really here energy should be somewhere else.
- 46:32[SPEAKER_15]: you know he's got three more years and he's gone so uh... that's that they keep running against him i guess it agitates their base but i don't know i'm just sort of i'm tired of it that's one thing i want to ask you what do you believe you think to see an a poll is a hoax now i don't know if it's a hoax i don't think it's necessarily uh... should be taken solely at face value like anything you should look at a lot of polls but
- 46:59[SPEAKER_15]: I would think, uh, Mr. Fonic should be able to do better than 30 percent.
- 47:03[SPEAKER_15]: I would say that much.
- 47:05[SPEAKER_25]: Yeah.
- 47:06[SPEAKER_25]: I think, uh, I think that's, uh, I think that, uh, that Paul's been off in the last summer, how many elections like those, but yeah.
- 47:13[SPEAKER_25]: I really don't pay attention to that.
- 47:14[SPEAKER_15]: So, not a lot.
- 47:16[SPEAKER_15]: Yeah.
- 47:16[SPEAKER_15]: Okay.
- 47:16[SPEAKER_15]: Well, thank you.
- 47:17[SPEAKER_25]: All right.
- 47:17[SPEAKER_25]: Thanks for taking my phone call.
- 47:18[SPEAKER_15]: All right.
- 47:19[SPEAKER_15]: Thanks, by now.
- 47:20[SPEAKER_15]: All righty.
- 47:21[SPEAKER_15]: I don't know.
- 47:21[SPEAKER_15]: Calls coming in.
- 47:22[SPEAKER_15]: No calls for Philip Morris.

- 51:51[SPEAKER_15]: Yeah, I don't know.
- 51:54[SPEAKER_15]: And they make fun of some of the people in the public who was speaking.
- 51:59[SPEAKER_15]: Hmm.

- 52:44[SPEAKER_15]: Samantha from Alex Bay, I have to say.
- 52:46[SPEAKER_08]: Yeah, OK.
- 52:48[SPEAKER_08]: Yes, well, we're getting a little bit more of that white stuff around here.
- 52:52[SPEAKER_08]: I took a little spin down town, though, and it's quite of an all hoping to see on the digital.
- 53:02[SPEAKER_08]: Get light up downtown, the fine.
- 53:05[SPEAKER_08]: Right.
- 53:06[SPEAKER_08]: It's have Hanukkah started yesterday.
- 53:08[SPEAKER_08]: I love the menorah and I looked all over for it and I didn't see it.
- 53:15[SPEAKER_08]: So I know in water town, they had a real large menorah all lit up for Hanukkah.
- 53:22[SPEAKER_15]: Yes, we do, and proud to have it up there.
- 53:26[SPEAKER_08]: Yes, I like that.
- 53:29[SPEAKER_08]: But anyways, I also heard some...
- 53:32[SPEAKER_08]: disheartening news that our government is planning on shutting down again the end of January which well if they do you know if that goes on again i am just tired of the whole thing and uh... pox on all their houses and you know they can't do better than that i'm tired of them i know but i just uh... i was very upsetting to have our snap benefits disrupted i hope they my dad happened again
- 54:02[SPEAKER_15]: to that I say, how dare they interrupt your snap benefits.
- 54:07[SPEAKER_08]: Well they think it was you know a week later they did come so I was very grateful I just was I was like oh no you mean no lobster tail for a week.
- 54:21[SPEAKER_08]: They're not gonna cut that out.
- 54:24[SPEAKER_08]: Yeah.
- 54:25[SPEAKER_08]: Yeah.
- 54:27[SPEAKER_08]: I love to have the this just
- 54:32[SPEAKER_08]: Anyways, that's all.
- 54:34[SPEAKER_08]: I was just wondering if, um, that, you know, I liked a digital time.
- 54:40[SPEAKER_08]: Do you like those?
- 54:41[SPEAKER_15]: Yeah, they're nice, yeah.
- 54:42[SPEAKER_15]: Hmm.
- 54:44[SPEAKER_15]: Were they out on right over the entrance to the village now?
- 54:47[SPEAKER_08]: I know, I wish that.
- 54:49[SPEAKER_08]: That would be neat, wouldn't it?
- 54:50[SPEAKER_15]: But that'd be nice.
- 54:52[SPEAKER_15]: I bet your Clayton gets one of those.
- 54:56[SPEAKER_08]: Oh.
- 54:57[SPEAKER_08]: Yeah.
- 54:59[SPEAKER_15]: it will be neat to look at but you know we do have one downtown in the center of town okay well listen Samantha I'm glad you have are doing well in Alex Bay and I have a call coming so I got a run all right all right thank you by now but after doing her on the year good afternoon the last set of commercials you played you played that the one for the
- 55:29[SPEAKER_24]: well i didn't i didn't hear it but i i'll take your word for it well i'm just gonna suggest that people still people don't need money to that uh don't need money to the uh local emergency crews do a lot more better for the community yeah there's so many things on tv asking for eleven box twelve box nineteen box a month it's crazy then i'll all the money will go for that next for the
- 55:58[SPEAKER_15]: to the people run in the organization right right now i i agree with the hundred percent on that i think it's up you know you've got the uh... uh... neglected dogs you got the old Ukrainian uh... holocaust victim ladies you've got the uh... kids in the children's hospital you've got various tunnels to towers and
- 56:22[SPEAKER_15]: Various other things after to with veterans and so on and they all want a certain amount each month I think it's gotten kind of out of hand If you want to give to him go ahead.
- 56:34[SPEAKER_15]: I'm you get skeptical of all of that stuff after a while right It just gets too big and too Like that will tunnel the towers you know that's
- 56:47[SPEAKER_15]: that Frank Sillers on TV all the time now and I do in this and that I guess it's good I don't know you just don't really know about any of these organizations they probably do some good not here saying anything bad about him but I don't believe the one about the ninety six year old Ukrainian woman who says she's survived the holocaust if she did god bless her but i i think that shot on a Hollywood soundstage that particular thing
- 57:15[SPEAKER_15]: Where did they find a shack that looked like that?
- 57:19[SPEAKER_15]: With that bowl of gruel on the stove that doesn't work, that's just come on, man.
- 57:26[SPEAKER_15]: It's not real.
- 57:27[SPEAKER_15]: All right?
- 57:29[SPEAKER_15]: Yep.
- 57:29[SPEAKER_15]: OK, well, thank you for the call.
- 57:33[SPEAKER_15]: Yeah, well, it's just my opinion.
- 57:36[SPEAKER_15]: My opinion, you can have yours.
- 57:38[SPEAKER_15]: So why we have a talk show on.
- 57:44[SPEAKER_15]: Now, why would Glenn Curry call me when the show is on here?
- 57:49[SPEAKER_15]: Oh, my God.
- 57:51[SPEAKER_15]: Oh, my God.
- 57:54[SPEAKER_15]: So, anyway, um, I was going to check the weather for you.
- 58:02[SPEAKER_15]: Because we're getting to that point where you might be interested in Christmas, because a lot of you have travel plans.
- 58:07[SPEAKER_15]: A lot of you do hide today up to twenty five not that warm but it gets warmer tomorrow as we get up into the uh... thirties and mid forties by thursday then it cools off but will still be warm overnight Thursday and uh... you may have a little snow over the weekend
- 58:25[SPEAKER_15]: But looking at next week, it looks like Christmas day and I can't say for sure what do I know.
- 58:32[SPEAKER_15]: But it looks like a pretty good day.
- 58:34[SPEAKER_15]: If you're traveling, so still got to be careful, but whatever.
- 58:38[SPEAKER_15]: But after noon, you're on the air.
- 58:40[SPEAKER_19]: Hey, Jeff, you're absolutely right about the Ukrainian women.
- 58:45[SPEAKER_19]: And they bring like a box of crackers that's going to save them from death in the middle of nowhere.
- 58:50[SPEAKER_19]: So I'm glad you brought that up.
- 58:51[SPEAKER_15]: I don't.
- 58:52[SPEAKER_15]: Don't you think that's a like.
- 58:53[SPEAKER_15]: If you.
- 58:55[SPEAKER_15]: I don't know, it's like a Hollywood sound stage, that isn't real.
- 58:59[SPEAKER_19]: It's probably in some asshole country who knows, but it's just, I see it all the time and you know, it's always, it just seems, yeah, it does seem fabricated, I agree.
- 59:09[SPEAKER_15]: Yeah, because how would that woman's life have been, I mean, what happened after in 1945 in her life that she ended up where she is now?
- 59:19[SPEAKER_19]: So, I don't know, right?
- 59:21[SPEAKER_19]: But just the box that they give them is that's supposed to carry them for like a year, or it just doesn't look like that.
- 59:27[SPEAKER_15]: There's nothing in that box I'd want to eat.
- 59:30[SPEAKER_15]: No, there's no M&M, there's no Twinkies, there's nothing.
- 59:34[SPEAKER_15]: Right, right.
- 59:35[SPEAKER_15]: Oh, I don't know.
- 59:36[SPEAKER_15]: Okay, well, thank you, Glenn.
- 59:38[SPEAKER_15]: I know.
- 59:39[SPEAKER_15]: Glenn Curry and that's a good time in the show to say Glenn Curry will be in here at five o'clock with the live at five show you don't want to miss it.
- 59:46[SPEAKER_15]: No, sir.
- 59:47[SPEAKER_15]: We're Bob.
- 59:48[SPEAKER_15]: Whoever Bob is, right?
- 59:49[SPEAKER_15]: All right.
- 59:50[SPEAKER_15]: That's our show for today.
- 59:51[SPEAKER_15]: Enjoy it.
- 59:52[SPEAKER_15]: I hope you enjoyed it too.
- 59:53[SPEAKER_15]: You're listening to the hotline on a community broadcast station.
- 59:56[SPEAKER_15]: This is AM-1240 WATWAT Water Tounding
