- 2:48Speaker 6: Do it again.
- 2:51Speaker 1: We love here on.
- 2:56Speaker 2: Wasn't it amazing? I mean, nineteen ninety eight is when
- 2:59Speaker 2: this came out. You guys are reimagining your whole album,
- 3:02Speaker 2: which we're going to talk about. Did you ever get
- 3:05Speaker 2: over performing that track?
- 3:06Speaker 3: Le' tell you something? We just reimagined that version first
- 3:10Speaker 3: for you kiss because that's the first time we've done
- 3:12Speaker 3: the shovels the shuffle and you couldn't tell. Of course
- 3:16Speaker 3: it was a world exclusive for you. But you know
- 3:20Speaker 3: it's very different to the original.
- 3:22Speaker 6: To say that, like, I think that sounds better than
- 3:25Speaker 6: the original.
- 3:26Speaker 3: Retorty go on stop.
- 3:29Speaker 2: There's more.
- 3:30Speaker 3: There's more in your voice, more emotions, there's more ashtray.
- 3:37Speaker 2: We like chocolate cake and cigarettes. You know they're bad
- 3:40Speaker 2: for you. I'm alone? Did you At the time this
- 3:44Speaker 2: was a giant It had actually popped up on my
- 3:46Speaker 2: Apple Music the other day, just because I was driving around.
- 3:49Speaker 2: What was that time like And was there a point
- 3:52Speaker 2: where you were like, I don't want to perform this
- 3:54Speaker 2: song anymore.
- 3:55Speaker 7: No always can to play it. But it was radio
- 3:59Speaker 7: who wanted to keep it. Was a hilarious situation where
- 4:02Speaker 7: a record company was begging radio to stop playing buses
- 4:05Speaker 7: and trains so we can release the next single.
- 4:09Speaker 6: Stop playing this sof I remember I was in year
- 4:13Speaker 6: seven at the time when it came out, I was
- 4:15Speaker 6: twelve years old, and it was just on repeat over
- 4:18Speaker 6: and like I could sing along to most of that
- 4:21Speaker 6: with you, and I just brought back so many memories
- 4:24Speaker 6: of being a young girl. It was such a big
- 4:26Speaker 6: song for me.
- 4:27Speaker 3: Got to a point where people really did want me
- 4:29Speaker 3: to walk under the bus stop. That's enough now. So
- 4:33Speaker 3: you loved it or you know, got not tired of it,
- 4:36Speaker 3: But it's a problem you want to have as an artist,
- 4:39Speaker 3: and especially these days, we're very present to how special
- 4:42Speaker 3: that is to have a hit record. It's got us
- 4:45Speaker 3: into all sorts of places and all sorts of trouble,
- 4:48Speaker 3: got me into, you know, all sorts of studios in Sweden.
- 4:54Speaker 2: Well tell us then you're redoing the whole album, but
- 4:57Speaker 2: you've got people like Guys Sebastian Adults, Gordrum.
- 5:02Speaker 3: She is on that version, which is why it was
- 5:04Speaker 3: like a scramble in my head because I was singing
- 5:06Speaker 3: her parts and trying to be her. And the interesting
- 5:09Speaker 3: thing is, you know, she's trying to be me and
- 5:11Speaker 3: I'm trying to be her, and it's anyway, it becomes
- 5:13Speaker 3: this mashup of of well, I mean, Delta is just
- 5:17Speaker 3: on fire right now, so we're pretty tough. She's on
- 5:19Speaker 3: this record.
- 5:20Speaker 2: And what you've done is you've taken all the hits
- 5:22Speaker 2: from the album and you've got people like I said,
- 5:24Speaker 2: Delta guy, Jess, Melboy, and then they reimagine it for you.
- 5:28Speaker 3: They did reimagine it for us, and they like, for instance,
- 5:31Speaker 3: with Jess, treat Me Good showing up, showed up a
- 5:34Speaker 3: time where she just left her label and she really
- 5:37Speaker 3: felt like, Okay, I really need to treat myself good.
- 5:40Speaker 3: So she took it. She took it to a whole
- 5:42Speaker 3: new place that we didn't write it from that place
- 5:44Speaker 3: at all. So what all these artists have brought is
- 5:47Speaker 3: their own selves. They didn't ruin the malady they took.
- 5:50Speaker 3: You know, they were keeping with the actual original song.
- 5:54Speaker 3: But I mean it's just reinvigorated us. And we've also
- 5:57Speaker 3: found out that they grew up on this record, so
- 6:00Speaker 3: that's a nice discovery.
- 6:01Speaker 6: If there was anyone maybe like globally worldwide that you
- 6:05Speaker 6: could get on the album, is there anyone who you wish?
- 6:08Speaker 3: Did anyone say no?
- 6:09Speaker 6: Yeah?
- 6:10Speaker 3: Oh they did just a car No, you're putting us
- 6:18Speaker 3: on the spot now because.
- 6:20Speaker 2: There's so many people who are on it, so there
- 6:22Speaker 2: kind of been that many that said no.
- 6:24Speaker 3: There weren't that it didn't quite work out for a
- 6:27Speaker 3: couple of people like, oh god, I really stuck my
- 6:31Speaker 3: foot in my mouth. So James was giving me the eye.
- 6:34Speaker 3: Are you going to share it or not?
- 6:35Speaker 1: Are you going to share it?
- 6:36Speaker 3: He's going to take a punt.
- 6:37Speaker 5: Well.
- 6:38Speaker 7: I can tell a story that the Veronicas were going
- 6:41Speaker 7: to be on the record and had cut a song
- 6:44Speaker 7: and then via a change of management, there's story changed,
- 6:48Speaker 7: and so we had to take them off the record,
- 6:50Speaker 7: yet a great version, and we were delighted with what
- 6:54Speaker 7: they'd done.
- 6:54Speaker 2: And so we're not angry at the Veronica.
- 6:56Speaker 3: No, no, no, it's all no, it's all good. I saw
- 6:59Speaker 3: at least the other day and she's she's awesome. Look,
- 7:02Speaker 3: that's the thing about. It's one thing to ask artists
- 7:05Speaker 3: and for them to say yes, but to get all
- 7:06Speaker 3: the ducks in a row and everyone in agreement, and
- 7:09Speaker 3: the management and the labels, it's if you get rid
- 7:12Speaker 3: of all them, life is quite easy. But no, we've
- 7:15Speaker 3: got Courtney act on Lucky Me. I mean, I mean
- 7:18Speaker 3: he Shane personifies lucky Me. So it's a very beautiful
- 7:22Speaker 3: you know, turnaround that Courtney's on Lucky Me.
- 7:25Speaker 2: Well, you can hear it all all the artists that
- 7:27Speaker 2: agreed to be on there, waiting for the day. Artist Sessions,
- 7:30Speaker 2: a complete reimagining of Bachelor Girls nineteen ninety eight Aria
- 7:34Speaker 2: Award winning debut album. It is out now, Bachelor Girl,
- 7:38Speaker 2: Thank you, Thanks for enthusiasm,
