- 0:00Speaker 1: Tony Kats in the Morning News. Wow ninety three, I
- 0:04Speaker 1: mean Italian, so this is great ninety three WIBC. My
- 0:08Speaker 1: name is Craig Collins, filling in Matt and Carl, hanging
- 0:10Speaker 1: out as they do every single morning on this show.
- 0:12Speaker 2: Is this the popcorn moment? Is this time for the
- 0:14Speaker 2: popcorn moment?
- 0:15Speaker 3: Now?
- 0:15Speaker 2: Then when we do this? Okay, cool, you can tell
- 0:17Speaker 2: me on the air, let's go ahead and get the
- 0:19Speaker 2: popcorn moment.
- 0:19Speaker 4: Go.
- 0:26Speaker 1: The world of insane rhetoric is definitely at an all
- 0:29Speaker 1: time high for President Trump. Laurence O'Donnell on MSNB now
- 0:35Speaker 1: C whatever they are DNC said that essentially Hitler was
- 0:40Speaker 1: nicer than President Trump. This is a real thing that
- 0:43Speaker 1: happened on television. I think I have like three minutes
- 0:45Speaker 1: of this audio. I don't intend to play all of it.
- 0:47Speaker 3: Here we go.
- 0:49Speaker 4: A whole civilization will die tonight. Hitler never said that.
- 0:57Speaker 4: No head of state in the history of the world
- 1:01Speaker 4: ever said that civilization had to wait literally thousands of
- 1:06Speaker 4: years until today. April seventh, twenty twenty six, at eighth second.
- 1:15Speaker 2: I'm already annoyed. I'm already so annoyed.
- 1:17Speaker 1: You know what's crazy about this focusing so much on
- 1:21Speaker 1: the words is the society we live in right now.
- 1:23Speaker 1: There's a whole lot of people out there who think
- 1:25Speaker 1: words hurt them. Because the thing I would say immediately
- 1:29Speaker 1: in response to Lawrence O'Donnell comparing Trump to Hitler is
- 1:33Speaker 1: Trump didn't kill anybody, and Hitler killed a whole bunch
- 1:37Speaker 1: of people. So sometimes I think actions matter all the time.
- 1:40Speaker 1: I think actions matter more than words. And I'm not
- 1:43Speaker 1: even saying I agree with the premise that the words
- 1:45Speaker 1: were as offensive and terrible as everybody on the left does.
- 1:49Speaker 1: I think that I can find I can parse out
- 1:51Speaker 1: meaning and context into certain things that Trump says. I
- 1:55Speaker 1: don't think he was actually intent on bombing a whole
- 1:57Speaker 1: bunch of civilians. I think what he was saying, this
- 2:00Speaker 1: is my interpretation, makes the left man to do this
- 2:03Speaker 1: is that if you take out some infrastructure, people are
- 2:05Speaker 1: going to struggle for a long time. So essentially, Iran
- 2:08Speaker 1: doesn't care about its people if they're pushing the United
- 2:11Speaker 1: States to attack in a way that devastates civilians, regardless
- 2:16Speaker 1: of if it's our intention at all, and if we'd
- 2:18Speaker 1: rather not see that happen. And Trump several times in
- 2:21Speaker 1: press conferences that he didn't want to do this, but
- 2:23Speaker 1: he saw it as the next step in getting Iran
- 2:25Speaker 1: to capitulate to the things we're asking them to do
- 2:28Speaker 1: that they were ignoring, and they were telling their own
- 2:31Speaker 1: citizens to make human shields with some of the places
- 2:36Speaker 1: that the United States might bomb. So every part of
- 2:39Speaker 1: this is exaggerated and changed and manipulated to make it
- 2:42Speaker 1: the worst thing possible. And then Lawrence O'Donnell actually said
- 2:46Speaker 1: that essentially President Trump is worse than Hitler, which is
- 2:49Speaker 1: an insane take, an insane take, but that is the
- 2:53Speaker 1: society we live in, where people care so much more
- 2:55Speaker 1: about the words you say than the actual actions. Like
- 2:58Speaker 1: if I say out loud all the right things, especially
- 3:01Speaker 1: for the left, like anything I say is nice, and
- 3:04Speaker 1: then I behave horribly behind closed doors, They'll be like, ah,
- 3:07Speaker 1: he's fine.
- 3:08Speaker 2: It's the exact opposite of my wife. Actually, this is a.
- 3:11Speaker 1: Weird, but I'm trying to transition to lighter and sillier
- 3:14Speaker 1: things and move away from that topic. My wife cares
- 3:17Speaker 1: way more about my actions than my words. And I'll
- 3:19Speaker 1: give you guys a good example. Matt and Carl as
- 3:22Speaker 1: they are here every single day on this show. If
- 3:25Speaker 1: I tell her I'm gonna do the dishes, that means nothing.
- 3:28Speaker 1: If I actually do the dishes, that means a whole
- 3:31Speaker 1: lot more in my relationship. Even if I don't say
- 3:33Speaker 1: out loud that it's something I'm gonna do, I just
- 3:36Speaker 1: got to do it, and I love how little it matters.
- 3:40Speaker 1: If I tell my wife like, oh yeah, I'll take
- 3:42Speaker 1: care of the laundry this weekend, honey, she'll look at
- 3:44Speaker 1: me like I'm a moron until I actually do the laundry.
- 3:47Speaker 1: So words can't hurt you as much as people think
- 3:50Speaker 1: they can, and they don't matter as much as actual
- 3:53Speaker 1: actions do. I don't know how to say that any differently.
- 3:56Speaker 1: I don't know if anyone wants to chime in on
- 3:57Speaker 1: the macro premise, not the political discussion, but just the macro.
- 4:02Speaker 1: Why are people obsessed with what you say more than
- 4:04Speaker 1: what you do?
- 4:06Speaker 5: Well, I mean, I can't let go of just hearing
- 4:11Speaker 5: the whole civilization is going to be destroyed what I
- 4:14Speaker 5: just heard, because I am so tired of being told
- 4:16Speaker 5: what to be scared of the fact is there's only
- 4:20Speaker 5: one Hitler.
- 4:21Speaker 3: Let me say that about it, And I know Tony
- 4:23Speaker 3: has said the same thing.
- 4:24Speaker 5: But Tony, and I've agreed with him one hundred percent
- 4:27Speaker 5: my entire life about there is only one Hitler.
- 4:31Speaker 3: The only one ever.
- 4:32Speaker 2: Yep, thank god.
- 4:34Speaker 5: Yeah, that did the things that they did, exterminate eight
- 4:36Speaker 5: million Jews. I mean, that's that's it. What we have
- 4:39Speaker 5: today shouldn't even be considered in any level anything we've
- 4:43Speaker 5: seen anything close to Hitler. Okay, that's it. That's history,
- 4:48Speaker 5: that's this is a thing. Stop comparing things to Hitler.
- 4:51Speaker 1: Well, you know what, I'm going to go a step
- 4:53Speaker 1: further and I'm going to ask like a question. This
- 4:55Speaker 1: is a thought exercise in a weird way. If somebody
- 4:58Speaker 1: said out loud that I'm the next Hitler, but then
- 5:00Speaker 1: they didn't kill anybody, would we think that that's as
- 5:03Speaker 1: bad today as Hitler was then? And I think a
- 5:06Speaker 1: lot of people would think, yes, if somebody out there,
- 5:08Speaker 1: I don't care if they're a world leader or not,
- 5:10Speaker 1: like they behaved. I mean, Kanye West says some weird stuff,
- 5:13Speaker 1: and we're not fans of Kanye anymore. But if they
- 5:16Speaker 1: actually never hurt anyone, unlike Hitler, who, as you said,
- 5:19Speaker 1: killed millions of people, would society today treat them the
- 5:23Speaker 1: same just because the words they were saying, even though
- 5:26Speaker 1: they didn't meet their actions, were terrible to most of
- 5:29Speaker 1: us in this society. My answer is yes, I think
- 5:31Speaker 1: that people today would act as though words are as
- 5:34Speaker 1: bad as actions because of how hyper focused we are
- 5:38Speaker 1: and what everybody says is we all have a platform.
- 5:40Speaker 2: I guess I don't know.
- 5:42Speaker 3: Well, a lot of.
- 5:42Speaker 5: These dictators, Yeah, a lot of these dictators will going
- 5:45Speaker 5: to say whatever they want, to stay as long as
- 5:47Speaker 5: they want. That's where you hear a lot of this rhetoric.
- 5:49Speaker 5: I take a lot of times in these states with dictators,
- 5:52Speaker 5: one party rule, one person rule, that kind of thing.
- 5:55Speaker 5: But if it happens in a free society, well you
- 5:58Speaker 5: get voted out.
- 5:59Speaker 3: Or you don't. Hopefully you vote that out.
- 6:01Speaker 5: Hopefully you get rid of that and find somebody to do,
- 6:04Speaker 5: somebody who's not so Hitler, Escort says, who was a
- 6:07Speaker 5: tea a tequila who said a long time, Well, you know,
- 6:09Speaker 5: Hitler has some good ideas, and I know what it's like, what.
- 6:15Speaker 3: Are you good at? What were his good ideas? There
- 6:18Speaker 3: weren't any.
- 6:19Speaker 5: I mean he was he was an awful military strategist
- 6:22Speaker 5: and awful and infrastrutive.
- 6:23Speaker 1: I mean, he was just bad at everything. I can't
- 6:26Speaker 1: get over tea tequila being the reference. I'm so happy
- 6:30Speaker 1: about that.
- 6:31Speaker 3: I hate saying bad things about hot women too.
- 6:32Speaker 2: It's gorgeous, But dude, how how funny?
- 6:36Speaker 1: Out of all the people to talk about in this conversation,
- 6:39Speaker 1: tea tequila wasn't in my top ten and Matt just
- 6:42Speaker 1: brought it in and crushed it.
- 6:43Speaker 2: And I didn't know she said that. I feel worse knowing.
- 6:46Speaker 5: That now, little yeah, and remember again to your point, though, Craig,
- 6:52Speaker 5: there were just words.
- 6:53Speaker 3: She wasn't hurting anybody. I mean, she just.
- 6:55Speaker 5: Said something exceptionally dumb and exceptionally ignorant. But in this case,
- 6:59Speaker 5: what comes to those kinds of things. I don't want
- 7:02Speaker 5: this kind of ignorant dolbment of my life.
- 7:05Speaker 3: I don't need that.
- 7:06Speaker 5: You know, these things happen, and they're awful, and there
- 7:09Speaker 5: is nothing, at least in my eyes with my understating
- 7:12Speaker 5: of the history, that's even comparable to what happened to
- 7:15Speaker 5: Nancie Germany.
- 7:16Speaker 2: Now, all those things you said are great. This is
- 7:18Speaker 2: the distraction of men.
- 7:20Speaker 1: I've now googled Tila Tia tequila while we're talking, and
- 7:23Speaker 1: that's all I'm talking. That's all I'm looking at and
- 7:26Speaker 1: I'm thinking about. I didn't know that she was born
- 7:28Speaker 1: in Houston. She was born in Houston Technic, where I
- 7:30Speaker 1: currently live.
- 7:30Speaker 2: Which is nice to know.
- 7:32Speaker 1: That things shoul have the same star chart. Now we
- 7:35Speaker 1: apparently we do. Who knows she's forty four years old.
- 7:37Speaker 1: I didn't know that either. I thought Tia was maybe
- 7:39Speaker 1: a little bit older at this point. But she looks great.
- 7:42Speaker 1: Let's put that out there. Her Nazi sympathizing, that's not
- 7:46Speaker 1: so good. That seems to be bad. I wonder if
- 7:49Speaker 1: she's hot enough on the hot crazy scale. I assume
- 7:52Speaker 1: no to ignore something like that. I think that's too
- 7:54Speaker 1: far in the camp of crazy for anyone to ignore it.
- 7:57Speaker 1: But I imagine she's probably in a relationship with somebody.
- 8:00Speaker 2: Do we want to talk more about Tia Tequila or
- 8:02Speaker 2: move on?
- 8:03Speaker 3: It's twenty five. We can get we can do traffic. Yeah,
- 8:07Speaker 3: we can hit the pause here today if you want.
- 8:10Speaker 1: You know, that's fine, buddy, what we'll do traffic. I
- 8:12Speaker 1: was going to talk about CNN killing Michael J. Fox,
- 8:14Speaker 1: but now I got to hold onto that.
- 8:15Speaker 3: Oh yeah, we'll say that from later.
- 8:17Speaker 2: Yeah, y CNN wants to dead, apparently
